*grabs you by the shoulders* ok so after wilbur died and fundy was alone and grieving he kept getting picked on for being an orphan by the rest of the server, for example puffy built an obsidian box around his house in new lmanburg and labelled it an orphanage. fundy was already dealing with the loss of his dad + the appearance of a ghost that was supposed to be his dad but didn't remember half of his life, and now he had to deal with this too. so he starts to mine it meanwhile jack manifold is trying to cheer him up, not helped by the fact that ghostbur keeps hanging around despite fundy not wanting him there. Jack tries to get fundy to look on the bright side, he says that the obsidian box around his house could function as protection from tnt, and so, to prove that's bullshit, fundy places a tnt beside the house he spent so long building and blows up a portion of it. Destroys his own work, a part of his home just to prove a point. It's a self destructive act of defiance. Ghostbur and jack both agree that was unnecessary and jack maintains it could protect the house from outside attacks. fundy continues to take the wall down. Ghostbur fixes the hole in fundy's house, but leaves evidence of the explosion. He puts a sight down saying "-CAUTION- Fallen debris". Now, I need you to know how insane I am over the fact that after doomsday, after the entirety of new Lmanburg was decimated, that sign was the only part of fundy's home that remained unbroken. A sign, surrounded by the rubble of a fallen nation, destruction as far as the eye can see, warning of fallen debris. A sign for a self destructive act of defiance. I am going to eat drywall about this

Mine (Speak Now). This is a song I can see representing if (when) Elain leaves the Night Court to work with (become friends) with the Band of Exiles.

If you think about it, Elain is a rebel waiting to be unleashed. The careful (mediator) daughter of a once careless (up until the end) father. I can see them sitting there, enjoying the silence, and Lucien getting the courage (and with her permission) to put his arm around her for the first time.

I Almost Do (Red). For this song, I view it as Elain’s resistance to Lucien being her own stubbornness. She’s scared of finding something she could want forever, scared of how there’s a pull towards him even when she doesn’t actively want it. Her resistance can be viewed as her fighting the pull of the bond because she doesn’t want to be influenced by it, she wants to make her own choice. I’m sure she could be wondering how often her mate thinks of her compared to how often she thinks of him.

Treacherous (Red). This song makes me think of Elain and Lucien both being drawn to each other because they can’t help it, even when they try to resist it. For Elain, Lucien is the hard choice because it challenges everything she’s come to know about the mating bond and takes her away even further from the life she wanted. I can see them hating the attraction they feel but succumbing to it regardless (not as far as haters to lovers but definitely reluctant until they start hashing it out — “is it the bond or do I truly feel this way?”).

This Love (1989). This song is so soft and I want to scream because of how it fits so well. Both Elain and Lucien would consider the bond both positive and negative because of how it came to be, how it shifts their memories and faithfulness to their previous lovers.

Like Jimmy and Tango (irl) clearly knew each other and were acquainted but were hardly best mates and certainly would NOT have chosen to team with each other and only each other were they not paired by the server, but they were and everyone on Tumblr just went. I have seen a lot of "people need to stop making everything romantic and let friends stay friends", and while I agree with this, I was also a little bit annoyed with it (probably because I have seen this take a lot when people talk about my OTP).

But then I realize that the reason I ship my OTP as romantic and not platonic pairing is because people don't take platonic relationships seriously. If they are a pair or at least best friends then they are special and people will draw them together and write about them, but if they just friends (no matter how close) then who cares.

I have an example. It's a well written platonic relationship from the first arc that was forgotten by authors and fandom alike that was overshadowed by romantic relationships. It's Cinderpelt and Fireheart, okey. Everyone remembers that Fireheart was pining for Spottedleaf all the time but less people remember that he also spent a lot of time hanging around with Cinderpelt. I watch a "Firestar's Quest" recap and Firestar taking Graystripe and Sandstorm (his best friend and his mate) to the forest to talk with them will be mentioned but Cinderpelt (his whatever just friend), who also was present, will be forgotten. If there is a fanfiction centered around Firestar then Cinderpelt again is likely to be forgotten or barely mentioned. If there is a MAP based on Firestar then again you would be lucky if Cinderpelt appears for a frame or two. It's not like Cinderpelt was his actual closest friend who he trusted the most and who never failed him and always was there for him. And I don't even need to mention works that centers on Cinderpelt, Nine times from ten it will be one-sided love that she has to move on from and Firestar doesn't even care for her. It's not like Firestar was there for her during her worst and stayed close to her after and used to accompany her to the Fourtrees whenever it's half-moon (Hunters should've kept it in the second arc but they had to move Firestar to the background and forget all the good qualities he had).

So yeah, people do need to take platonic relationships more seriously and stop making everything about romance.

I can't lie, the news about Ice Adolescence is heartbreaking, mostly because of its inevitability. Yuri on Ice was a show I desperately needed at the exact moment I desperately needed it. Even now, when I get into a really bad spiral, listening to the soundtrack helps ease some of that weight. yesss modern Egg x classic Egg is actually the real otp. it's a fact that there's nobody else Eggman could love like he loves himself. and it's the hottest because no other character is hotter, so doubled is perfect. Eggman would agree as he doesn't think anybody is as smart, handsome, or superior. nobody truly deserves or is worthy of him, he's out of everyone else's league except for himself XD

they were gay af with each other in the times they were getting along in Generations, they were just flirting so blatantly and stroking each other's egos as if that wasn't the only thing of each other's they wanted to stroke. because there's also each other's mustaches to stroke, obviously... and more. ;) they might as well have just started jerking each other off, that would've been less gay hfbskgnskgn

it is the most fitting, Eggman is so in love with himself to the point of total obsession and immense dedication in how he wants to give himself the world, literally! he calls himself handsome canonically and makes himself giddy. I'm sure classic and modern would've wanted to pounce on each other immediately upon sight. I mean how could they not when they're both the most gorgeous and sexy man 😍

during the events of the game, Orbot and Cubot weren't around to bother them at all because modern Egg cruelly left them in the cold vaccum of space when he pursued the Time Eater, and classic Egg didn't have any assistant lackey robots back then to be an issue in the first place. so they truly had peace for some precious alone time for a little while and they were totally doing naughty things together hehe

with modern Egg being a bit older and more experienced, he could teach classic Egg not only scientific and battle knowledge and such that he learned over the years between them but also help him learn more about himself, his body, and things he's into but hasn't discovered at that point in time yet. he could get to be the one introduce him to new pleasures and discoveries earlier and that's hot 🤤

and they finally get to explore all their curiosities with each other that they've both fantasized about and know it because they're the same person and in love with themself. exploring the body of themselves at different points in life is very fascinating, they agree. but as they feel each other up they'll realize how exciting it is too, until they're fully fondling each other and giggling and kissing and things just keep escalating

they could've also used the opportunity to try things they were maybe too embarrassed to explore with others, so they can help each other fulfill all their desires and dreams, no matter how shy they are in suggestion. sometimes classic Egg would feel like that towards things modern tries to introduce him to early like "we're really into that?" and modern Egg gives him a very fun first experience with it that proves it >:)

there's so much fun and hot potential with them and they have great chemistry and tension in the couple scenes they have together, they're literally the best together 💜💘 that's why I must spread Eggman x Eggman propegganda as often as possible, I need everyone else to understand that they are the ultimate and most canon Eggman pairing fr. he only has a place in his heart for himself XD

and while they're the only pairing where I could actually see Eggman being genuinely loving, caring, and smitten only because it's himself, I love how they also still bicker and argue and piss each other off at the same time. there's no such thing as a completely perfectly healthy functional relationship with Eggman, further proven by the way that he can't even get along well for long with himself, it's so funny I love it lol

He trailed kisses up and down the column of her throat. Taking his time nibbling on the sweet spot that would always have her dragging her nails down his back. He remembers when he first done it a weeks ago, he was shocked but quickly realized that the desire to make her come apart was becoming stronger with every passing second.

After reluctantly moving away from her delectable throat. Harry had to bite his bottom lip once he saw Gin’s freckled face scrunched up in both equal pleasure and annoyance of him no longer feasting upon her. If you ask him, that look rivaled her blazed one that she would give him before ever kissing him.

Hell, if only he had a camera he could take a picture of her right now just to show her hot fucking breathtaking beautiful she looks. The way her creamy breasts, that were decorated in a constellation of delicious freckles were slowly rising and falling. Before he could finish saying her name, Gin hand used all her strength to roll them over. His hot and sweaty back was now against the prickly grass. As he felt his girlfriend proudly straddle his thighs; Harry could only stare at the way each freckled thigh was now keeping him pinned to the earth beneath him. Not that he was complaining at all. Fuck, he could never complain, in reality this was his plan all along.

“Never, call me Ginerva…do you understand that Potter,” Gin gritted out as she slowly trailed her hands up and down his chest.

“Why not it’s your name isn’t it? Ginerva,” he smirked at the way her eyes narrowed at him.

“Seems like you’ve become a bit cocky, I’ll have to find a way to bring you down off your hippogriff.” Gin had said in a mock serious tone.

“Oh really, now how will you do that-” Harry had started to ask but realized that his girlfriend was clearly steps ahead of his game. He felt her lips begin a burning path down his chest, all while his treacherous body was begging for her to continue.

“Gin, you don’t-have to,” he groaned as he watched her red hair fan out all over his navel, she had quickly made it so close yet so far from his length.

“Oh, I most definitely do. Be a good boyfriend and hold my hair, will you?” Ginny smirked back at him, only seconds before watching her pink tongue lick the tip of his-

Wow it is so much better for me to post these in the morning 😂 this one is silly but it made me smile. Happy Monday and have a great start to your week!

15. Snowball fight

George knew that rationally, their hotel being evacuated because the fire alarm was going off sucked. But George was trying desperately to look at the bright side of things. It hadn’t been one of them that set the alarm off, which was a huge plus from a PR perspective. It also was mid morning, instead of the middle of the night, which was another positive. Not that you’d know that, looking at Matty who was standing blurry eyed behind his glasses, wearing George’s sweatpants and his yellow North Face puffer jacket looking like he had been pulled from the deepest sleep and still wasn’t fully conscious. At least he was wearing proper shoes, George thought, wrapping his arms around Matty, hugging him from behind and resting his chin on the top of Matty’s head, his snow speckled curls tickling George’s chin. Matty stiffened in surprise before realizing it was George who had grabbed him, and relaxing into the touch.

“This is bullshit,” Matty whined sleepily, leaning back against George’s chest.

“They’ll have it resolved soon,” George said, hugging Matty even tighter when he realized he was trembling, shivering in the snowy winter wind swirling around them.

Matty just huffed in annoyance, his breath visible in the air, curling deeper into his jacket before letting out a strangled, high pitched yelp when he was hit in the face with a loosely packed snowball. Matty pulled away, turning around in George’s arms with snow dripping off his shocked face. George couldn’t help but laugh, especially upon seeing Ross a few yards away grinning.

“It’s not funny!” Matty snapped before breaking into his own fit of giggles when it was George’s turn to be hit. Adam was pretending to hide behind Ross, making it clear he was behind the attack on George.

George bent down, and scooped up a handful of snow, quickly packing his own snowball with bare freezing fingers and threw it with all of his might, smiling at the way Matty whooped when he got Ross square in the chest.

Following George’s lead, Matty bent down and crafted his own snowball, jumping to the side at the last moment so that the snowball hurling towards him hit George instead.

“Oh it’s on,” George laughed, catching Matty in the chest with another snowball before sending one hurling towards Adam and Ross. He scampered away, giggling as Matty turned to pelt him as well, hiding behind Mark who was standing resigned on the edge of the hotel front yard.

George couldn’t keep the grin off his face, even as Matty hit him with another snowball, he felt like a little kid again, engaging in a snowball fight with his best mates. It was like they were fourteen, running amuck in Cheshire, causing chaos instead of nearly thirty somewhere in the middle of the American midwest. A snowball hit the side of his face, snow getting in his ear and dripping down under the collar of his jacket. But George didn’t care, laughing as he made another snowball, catching sight of Matty’s wide, crooked smile. He felt like a weight he hadn’t even known he was carrying had been lifted and even as Mark was shouting at them to knock it off, brushing snow off his jacket. George didn’t want the moment to end.

I consider Harry-centric fics to be when the fic really sheds some new light on his psyche or story (perhaps in an AU or in canon).
