"So Happy and So Grateful and in Love" - Part 2
Decription: The best day in their lifes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Prov Hailey:
We decided to get married on the Greek island of Zakynthos because of my background. Jay is very interested in Greek history and even asks me to learn the language, which is sweet of him. This is one of the many reasons why I fell in love with him. The fact that he wanted to learn every little detail about me and now the place where I was born is amazing. Even just thinking about those tiny details in which pure love from his side spoke, tears come to my eyes. I closed my eyes for the hundredth time not to spoil the makeup that Stella put on me a few minutes ago and breathed in the fresh Mediterranean air. I was thankful that we weren't getting married in a church in Chicago with lots of guests, but with some of the closest people in our lives in Greece outside in front of such a beautiful view of the sea. I can't believe this is actually happening, that in a few minutes I will stand in front of the man who is my everything, my anchor, my rock, my peace and my soulmate and vow to love him to the grave.
- Are you all right Goldilocks? - I heard the question, so I opened my eyes and met the brown eyes of desk Serge
desk who has always been a role model for me for so many years and was like a mom to me. I owed so many things to Trudy Platt and I could not even imagine missing her on the most important day of my life. I gave her a sincere and grateful smile and she returned the favor which is something very special about her and something that doesn't happen very often which makes me feel even more special that I am one of the few who can see the other side of her.
- It's all right Serge - I wiped a tear that ran down my cheek. - Stella is going to murder me, this is the fourth time she has to fix my make up. - I joked and we both laughed.
- It's true - admitted Platt. We stood in silence for a moment, staring at the view in front of us. - Hailey, I know I'm not always nice and pleasant, and I'm not often complimentary, but I'm very proud of you as a beautiful, confident woman. I am happy to be a part of your transformation. - She looked at me with tear-stained eyes. Damn, this is the first time I've seen our sergeant like this. - Hailey you know I never had the chance to have a child, but I wish I had a daughter like you - unfortunately Kidd is going to kill me because I cried again, damn. I didn't know what to say to those words so I just decided to give a big hug to the woman who saved my life many years ago, who gave me purpose in life.
- Serge, you don't even know how much your words mean to me," my voice was breaking, but I kept talking. - I love my mother, but many events in the past have made my relationship with her far from a mother-daughter relationship and I have come to terms with that, but then you came along and you are not very patient - I prefer not to risk her anger even on my wedding day. - but I feel like I have a better relationship with you than I did with my birth mother. I am grateful to you for so many things. I wish my mother was like you, Trudy, and you don't know how much it means to me that you're here. Platt pulled me close, and I snuggled into her. I don't know how long we stood there, but we only pulled away when we heard a quiet grunt from somewhere on the side. I looked in that direction and saw Will standing there with a big smile and Vi standing to the side of him with a bouquet of flowers for me.
- Hailey remember that if you tell anyone about this I will deny everything - I looked at the Sergeant, who was deadly serious.
- Copy you - I nodded, and in a moment she was no longer with me.
- Are you ready? - asked Vi coming up to me together with Will. I nodded as a sign that I was ready. - Here - she handed me a bouquet of white and pale pink roses. I took it and leaned over to smell it.
- Well good, because I can hear the bells starting to ring already - Vanessa said with a smile, gave me a kiss on the cheek and walked away leaving me with Jay's brother.
- Hailey
- Will
we said at the same time and burst out laughing.
- Speak first - he showed me to start.
- Okay, so I wanted to thank you for trusting me with Jay, I promise I'll never hurt him and thank you for accepting me into your family - I wanted to say something else but my voice started to break again. Damn this was supposed to be my happiest day ever and I wasn't supposed to cry and today I'm doing nothing but crying. Ehh.
- Oh Hailey it is my honor to have you become a member of our family of two. - He laughed confidently at the memory - For many years me and Jay didn't have a good relationship. We both did a lot of stupid things. Jay changed completely after his mom died, he and his dad got along badly, I left them both, and most of all what happened in Afghanistan, the thing with Erin and everything else caused Jay to come to darkness. I was afraid of losing him, another family member, my only family - I could see how much it was costing Will to revisit those bad memories. I didn't feel any better. Every time I recall the moment I meet his little brother. I realize how little we would have missed having Jay with us. - Ehh - Will wiped a quick tear running down his cheek. My eyes welled up with tears too, once again. Damn, how much can you cry? - And then you showed up and everything changed. My brother finally saw that there was something to fight for. I got my brother back. Smiling, full of life, and it's all because of you, Hailey. - I tried really hard to keep the tears from flowing, but I couldn't. All I could do was hug Will tightly. - We have to go now," I pulled away from him when I heard the wedding music play. I hurriedly wiped away the tears that were streaming down my cheeks and nodded because that was all I could say. Will gave me his arm, which I accepted, and we both walked slowly down the aisle.
As I walked I loved the smiling faces of not friends, but family. And never before have I been so grateful for them as I am now. Being here I realized how lucky I was and that after all the years of hell I had been through fate was finally smiling down on me and something inside me told me that this was just the beginning. When I stood next to Jay and looked into his eyes I saw glassy green eyes and in them was infinite love.
- Are you okay? - I read the question from his gaze and nodded in response. Even after six years, I can't get over how much he cares about my well-being, my opinion. I'm not exaggerating here to say that he treats me like a princess. How did I ever deserve this man?
- Well," began the priest, to whom I turned my attention. - We have come here to witness these two people in love pledging their love to each other until the grave. Looking at them, I don't need to know them personally to know that the feeling they have for each other is unique and unprecedented. You, since you are here, probably feel the same way, and since you know them better than I do, you will agree that they love each other very much, and today's ceremony is just the icing on the cake of their relationship. - He paused so the guests could nod their heads in agreement. - Now it was time for the bride and groom to take the floor. Hailey will you begin?
Oh my gosh, I can feel my throat tightening and now all the guests have gone quiet, even though the ceremony is outdoors, I can't hear anything but the sound of the sea behind me. I breathed deeply a few times to calm down my thoughts and to be able to form coherent sentences. I would like to say so much to him, to express how much I love him, but I am afraid that I will not find the words to express how much I love him and how much he means to me. I hope that what I say now will be enough.
- Where do I begin here? Ehh. When we first met in that bank we were at a completely different stage of life, but by some miracle we caught a connection. I immediately noticed that underneath the mask of a closed off, uncompromising, former wtereran, cold and withdrawn was hiding a kind-hearted, sparring and sensitive man who had lost his way a bit and was broken by demons from his past. It was hard to get through your barriers and get you to trust me, but when it finally happened I was overjoyed. There were times I was scared for you and then my heart would break into little pieces because for some reason you were already close to me then. I, on the other hand, was no better. I didn't tell you much of my demons, but I always knew that if I had to share my story with anyone it would be you and only you. Because there's no one I trust more than you. From the first day I met you. And maybe it took four years, two gunshots, a kidnapping and my move to New York for us to understand, for me to understand that you are more than a work partner to me, more than a friend. So that I would have the courage to be in tune with my feelings, because our job really, I don't know when it could be our last day. When you met me I was, in fact I tried to be tough, strong, withdrawn and above it all. Life has thwarted me many times, since I was a child I had to learn to hold my head high and fight, I was broken, I healed many wounds, some new ones appeared but in the end thanks to your help I got back on my feet, wounds heal, although I still have a lot of work to do to fully recover but with you all the stages, this war for myself is easier. For years I did not allow myself to think that I could fall in love, that I would be standing in a wedding dress in front of a man whom I love, with whom I want to live my life and the thought of starting a family will germinate in my head. And this prospect, which only 6 years ago scared me, now I look forward to what the future will bring with you. - I finished. I let out a breath that I didn't even know I had been holding in. I was so offered by my monologue that I forgot about the presence of those gathered. I wiped away the tears streaming down my cheeks and looked at Jay, who had a look of boundless love in his eyes, and the tears streaming down his cheeks were going into oblivion. I can't ever get over how much love this boy has for me. It's impossible to comprehend how special it makes me feel.
- Okay, now it's my turn," he grunted, his smile always reserved for me, full of love and something I couldn't name until now. - I've never been good at saying what I feel, but I'll try now - he joked - You came into my life unexpectedly, at the worst time of my life, when I didn't care about anything. I was falling into a black abyss, but every day I came out of it. At first I didn't know why your opinion mattered the most to me, why every thought was about you, why everything I did was with you in mind. I'm a veteran of the military for me jumping into the fire of bullets, entering into different dangerous situations was not a problem before, I did it with my eyes closed, but since the battle in that tunnel those 4 years ago after my death, when I saw your face, scared and broken, something changed in me. I wasn't so willing to risk anymore, in some strange way you made me want to be more careful, but then this thing with Angela came up and then I realized I had to fight just for you, I wanted so much to see your beautiful ocean blue eyes, a smile that is the most beautiful and wonderful I have ever seen and heard. You are the first thought and the last. I'm in love with you like crazy, I can't think, sleep, eat and function normally and only when you left for New York it came to me that I can't and don't want to lose you. Everyone but you. You don't even know how much it means to me and maybe it's selfish of me, but I'm overjoyed that you chose me, that you honored me with the chance to get close to you and I promise that you will never regret it. I will spend every hour, minute and second to bring a smile to your face, tears, but only those of happiness and I will do everything to make you happy, because only you matter to me. I love no one more in my life than I love you and our baby - his gaze fell on my belly. That's how I took the test yesterday and it turned out that under my heart is the fruit of our, my and Jay's love. He was by my side every step of the way from buying the test to the result. He was so happy and I was with him. Now we are going to be a real family. The three of us. - The two of you are my world and will be my world to the end of my life," he finished.
My heart stopped with love, I've never heard such beautiful words and every time I think I can't love him more it always turns out how wrong I was. Jay let go of my hand that he had been holding and used his thumb to gently wipe away the tears from my cheek. At this gesture I closed my eyes to completely surrender to the feel of his warm skin on my cheek.
- Now it's time for the bride and groom to exchange their wedding rings," said the priest, who I had forgotten about a few minutes before, just like the rest of the people in the church. - I'll ask the best man to give them to me. - Mouse took a small maroon square box from his jacket pocket and handed it to the clergyman, who took it. - Please - he opened the item and waited for us to take one each. I turned the ring over and noticed that they were engraved with "I'll folow you anywhere" our password in Jay's handwriting. I looked at Jay' who just smiled widely at me which I reciprocated. I shook Jay's hand, he caught it gently as if I was made of the most fragile piece of glass. Little gestures like that make me smile all the time.
- I'll folow you anywhere - he said, slipping the ring onto my ring finger.
- I'll folow you anywhere - I repeated after him.
- Now the bride and groom can kiss each other - and without any delay we both joined our lips in a kiss and even though we have exchanged these kisses from millions each one was special and so is this time.
- I love you Jay - I said as I pulled away from him.
- I love you Hailey - he said and kissed me again.
Nothing else mattered, just him, me, and this little life that was beginning to grow inside me. Whatever the future held for us it would always be me, him and our baby until the end of the world and one day more.

Mysterious Blondes and Stupid Pickup Lines
Her eyes glanced around the dimly lit room filled with the loudest music she had ever heard. “I cannot believe I let you drag me to a godforsaken bar…”
“It’s Friday night Lena. You need to let loose! Live a little! You’re not getting any younger and staying cooped up in your office every day and every night is boring as hell.” Sam shouted over the deafening noise.
“I am happy the way I am currently living my life, thank you very much,” Lena grumbled as she was dragged over to the counter. She had hoped for a quiet evening with a nice glass of Rosé and a good book in her hands. Being hauled off to a bar by her nagging best friend hadn’t been the plan whatsoever.
After ordering their drinks, they sat down and Sam looked around the room filled with people. “Anyone catch your eye yet?” she asked, glancing at her friend who was sipping her drink in silence.
“I’ve already told you, Sam, I’m not interested in you finding me someone to shag.”
Sam let out a loud laugh as she shook her head at her friend. “Shag? Did you just say “shag” Lena? Come on. You’re a grown-ass woman. Can’t you just say fuck?”
“I am a refined and sophisticated woman. I do not say fuck.”
“Of course you are Lena…” The taller brunette rolled her eyes and chuckled softly.
She had known Lena since their first day of university and throughout all those years, she had come to discover that her friend was a complete workaholic. Lena would never go out to parties, would never date, would never stop working for even a minute. One time, the shorter woman had gotten a fever of over 105°F and yet, had still gone to take her economics test. She, of course, aced it… and then was immediately sent to the hospital. It took her about two weeks to recover and even though she was supposed to be on bed rest, she studied day in and day out.
It got worse when she took over Luthor Corp. But Sam couldn’t blame her. The young woman had a huge amount of pressure on her shoulders. Her brother’s attacks had made everything worse and it didn’t help that her mother frowned upon everything she did. The whole world was watching her every move because of her last name. Even after she changed the company’s name to L-Corp, the people of National City were still wary of her. She did her best to get people to forget her shameful last name and what it meant but to no avail. She would be branded as “a Luthor” for the rest of her life. But damn it if she was going to let that stop her from making the world a better place.
“Sam, you still with me?”
The taller woman shook her head to bring her back to reality. She turned and looked at her friend who was putting her phone back in her pocket. “Sorry what?”
“You zoned out staring at the gorgeous redhead in the back there.” Lena chucked and pointed to a beautiful redheaded woman sitting in a booth at the back of the room.
“I was not… who were you emailing?” Sam blushed, hoping she could change the subject.
“Who said I was emailing anyone?” A slim black eyebrow raised in question as Lena looked back at her friend.
“Because the only person you text is me and I’m sitting right beside you so there is no way you’re texting.”
“I text people who aren’t you,” Lena shot back defensively.
“Oh really? Who?”
Lena sat quietly for a second before mumbling a ‘no one’. The tall brunette barked out a laugh and took a swig of her drink. “That’s what I thought.”
“Shut it, Arias. Are you going to go talk to the beautiful woman or not? Because you might lose your chance.” Lena pointed out.
“Maybe… you wouldn’t mind, would you? Because I’d hate to abandon you here… especially since you didn’t even want to be here in the first place…”
“Just go. Who knows, maybe you’ll leave with someone who isn’t me.” Lena flicked her wrist towards the back of the bar, a silent way of telling Sam to go and talk to the woman.
Sam smiled, a silent “thank you” was mouthed before she got up and made her way towards the tall redhead.
Lena let out a sigh as she ordered a second scotch.
“A gorgeous lady like you shouldn’t be drinking alone. Mind if I join you?”
Lena looked up at the voice beside her. She was surprised to see a young blonde looking at her with a smile. The woman gestured to the seat next to Lena. “This seat isn’t taken is it?”
“No… I was graciously abandoned by my friend…” She chuckled as she took a sip of her drink. She looked the woman up and down. Lena was slightly mesmerized. The mysterious stranger was wearing a blue button-down with the sleeves rolled up past her elbows which showed off her strong arms.
“Wow” was all Lena could think and she continued to look at the blonde. Her shirt was tucked into some dark jeans, and Lena would never admit this out loud, but they highlighted her ass perfectly. The brunette turned back to look around the room when she realized she had started staring.
The mystery woman waved down the bartender and ordered herself a drink before sitting down next to Lena. “So, are you a parking ticket?”
“Excuse me?” Lena asked as she turned to look back at the cute blonde.
“Are you a parking ticket?” she repeated, “Because you have ‘fine’ written all over you.”
Lena’s eyebrow rose as she stared at the woman. “That… that was oh so terrible,” she muttered, shaking her head and looking away.
“I can do better.”
“I highly doubt that.” Lena chuckled and looked at the woman pointedly, letting her continue with the pickup lines.
“Alright… well, I’m no photograph but… I can picture us together.” The blonde smirked and ran her fingers through her hair before flashing Lena a cocky grin.
“That the best you can do?” Lena knew she shouldn’t be feeding into this little game that was going on but she couldn’t help herself. The woman sitting next to her was kinda cute…
“Are you a magician? Because whenever I look at you, everyone else just disappears.”
“I’m not. I’m the CEO of my company darling,” Lena responded with a chuckle. This woman had guts to come up to Lena fricken Luthor and use these horrible, and when Lena said horrible, she meant horrible pickup lines.
The blonde furrowed her brow and looked around, seeming confused for a few seconds before she looked back up to Lena’s face. “Wait... okay… I seem to be lost…”
“What are you talking about..?”
“Look… I seem to be lost. Do you mind giving me directions to your heart?” She smirked up at Lena who was now sporting a confused look on her face before it morphed into a neutral expression.
“... Really? Okay… that one wasn’t that bad…” She had to admit, these damn pickup lines were getting slightly better.
“Gosh, that really must have hurt,” the taller woman started saying.
“What? When I fell from heaven? Because I’m an angel? Seriously? That one’s the worst of them all.” Lena said, cutting off whatever was to come next from that line.
“No… I was going to say when you fell out of that vending machine,” the woman responded, seemingly unfazed by Lena cutting her off.
“A vend-- okay what the hell?”
“Well, you must have fallen out of a vending machine since you look like an absolute snack…” The blonde winked and took a sip of her drink, keeping eye contact with Lena.
“Wow… I’ll admit, I didn’t expect that one.”
“I am known for being full of surprise.” She chuckled, shrugging her shoulders as she looked at the brunette. “But umm… hey. You’re pretty and I’m cute… together we’d be Pretty Cute don’t you think?”
“And we’re back to zero. How do you go from being an absolute dork to a decent flirt, back to a complete dork?”
“Well, I’d say it’s all part of my charm. Wouldn’t you?” She grinned and shifted closer to the brunette.
“I’d say it’s part of your annoyingness…” Lena mumbled under her breath as she shook her head. She looked over at Sam who seemed to be having fun… making out with the redhead. Her friend sure knew how to get right to the point when it came to things she wanted.
A quiet voice brought her back to reality. “Is that your friend over there?”
“Yes. The tall brunette making out with the redhead.”
“Yeah… the umm… the redhead is my sister.”
Lena turned to look fully at the blonde. “She is…?”
“Yeah.” The blonde gave her a short nod and finished off her drink.
“Oh” was all Lena managed to say before she downed her whole drink.
“You alright?”
“Just fine.”
“You sure.” “One hundred percent.”
“Are you from Tennessee?”
Lena snapped out of whatever little haze she was in, looking back at the blonde. “No?”
“Really? Because you’re the only ten I see.”
“I’m actually from Ireland,” Lena responded with a slight chuckle.
“Oh… and here I thought you were from France.”
“What in the world would make you think I’m from France?” She asked, confused. Did she sound french? She’d have to ask Sam later.
“Well, you know… I figured you were from France because I think Eiffel for you…”
Lena faced palmed internally. “This is getting ridiculous…” she muttered quietly.
The blonde got up and stood in front of Lena. “Feel my shirt.”
“What? No.”
“Come on, just feel it. Please?” she asked with a slight puppy dog pout.
“Fine.” Surrendering to the pout on the other woman’s lips, Lena reached her arm out and felt the cotton fabric. “Okay? What about it?”
“Do you know what it’s made of?”
“Probably cotton? Why?”
“Wrong. It’s made of girlfriend material.” The blonde winked before taking a slow sip of her drink.
Lena just sat there, staring at the woman before her who was sporting a huge smile on her face.
“You are just… unbelievable…” she whispered as her eyes glanced down to the blonde’s lips.
That’s when said lips turned into a slight smirk. “Well then… kiss me if I’m wrong but… dinosaurs still exist right?”
And that was it for the young brunette. Lena grabbed a fistful of the woman’s shirt and pulled her forwards, crashing their lips together.
Lena felt the blonde’s arms wrap around her waist as she held firmly onto her shirt, deepening their kiss. Their lips worked in unison as they held each other close.
Lena ran her hands through blonde locks of hair as the other woman moved her body in between the Luthor’s legs.
The blonde woman only pulled away when they finally had to catch their breath. They stayed quiet, foreheads pressed against each other with their eyes closed. This felt… right.
Lena opened her eyes to blue ones staring right back at her. “Hi…” she whispered, not letting go of the blue-eyed beauty.
“Hi yourself…” the blonde chuckled.
“I missed you…”
“I know… I meant to drop by today with lunch but Snapper gave me an extra article and I didn’t have time…”
Lena smiled. “Well, then it’s a good thing we were both at the same bar tonight huh?”
Kara chuckled, nodding her head before quickly pecking Lena’s lips. “Definitely.”
Lena kept her arms around her girlfriend’s neck as she looked into her eyes. “I can’t believe you hit on me using those horrible pickup lines darling…”
“Hey, you loved every minute of it. Don’t try to deny it.”
“I did… you were quite… charming.”
“Only for you babe,” Kara smiled and breathed in. It felt nice being in Lena’s arms again. With their busy schedules, they hadn’t had much time to themselves. This was nice. She had missed this all week.
“So… your sister…” Lena started, nibbling her lip nervously.
“I know… I didn’t think you’d be here… Alex and I were just getting drinks. She had a long day and thought we both needed to have a chill night…”
“Yes well… she might end up “Netflix and chilling” with Sam if my dear old friend has anything to say about it…” Lena chuckled, pointing to the two women currently making out in the booth.
“Ew… I do not need to see my sister making out with your best friend…”
“Yes well, grow up my love. Your sister is allowed to have a sexual relationship. You don’t see her complaining about you having one now do you.”
Kara rolled her eyes. “Oh shush… You ready to meet her?”
“I wasn’t expecting to meet your sister for the first time tonight… I’m not even wearing appropriate attire…” Lena mumbled quietly.
“You look beautiful. You always do, baby,” Kara smiled as she looked her girlfriend up and down.
“What if she doesn’t like me? Kara this is your sister… Your older sister… I don’t even have my speech with me…”
“You made a speech?” Kara asked, amusement lacing her voice.
“Yes of course! I had to be prepared. I’m not prepared right now.”
Kara smiled and took Lena’s hands in her own. “Lena, sweetheart,” she started, using one hand to lift Lena’s chin so they could be eye to eye, “she is going to love you because she sees how happy you make me.”
“But wh--”
“No buts. She’s going to love you. Just like I love you. And even if she didn’t, that wouldn’t change how I feel about you. I am so deeply in love with you Lena Luthor. And nothing will ever change that.”
Lena sighed, a small smile gracing her lips. She leaned forward slightly, kissing the blonde ever so softly. “I love you too Kara Danvers…”
They stayed still as they held each other close. “Also,” Kara started quietly, “I overheard you telling Sam that you are, and I quote, “a refined and sophisticated woman who doesn’t say fuck”,” Kara smirked as she felt Lena tense up. “And the many nights in my bedroom would say otherwise my dear…” she whispered, just loud enough for just Lena to hear her.
She let out a laugh when she was shoved off her brunette girlfriend. “Oh shut it,” Lena grumbled as she pushed Kara to the side so she could stand up.
Kara chuckled and took Lena’s hand in her own. “Come on, it’s time you meet my sister.”
She lead them over to the booth at the back of the room where her sister was sitting and making out with Sam. Letting out a small cough to get their attention, Kara stood next to the booth with Lena holding her hand tightly. Alex and Sam stopped their kissing when they realized they had company.
“Alex, I’d like you to meet Lena… my girlfriend. Lena, this is my big sister Alex.” Kara smiled as she looked between her sister and her nervous girlfriend, hoping for the best.
The redhead moved away from Sam slightly to look up at the brunette who seemed to be clutching onto the blonde for dear life.
“Nice to meet you, Lena,” Alex started saying before Sam promptly cut her off.
“Girlfriend?!” Sam shrieked, causing multiple heads to turn in the direction of the four women. “Lena? Did she say “girlfriend”?! Care to explain?” she continued with a slightly whispered voice.
“Yes, Samantha,” Lena rolled her eyes at her friend, “you heard right.”
“Okay, yes, I heard right. But please, explain. Why didn’t you tell me you were dating someone? I’ve been trying to set you up for months!”
“Oh, simple, because I didn’t want you to find out,” Lena stated easily, sliding into the booth across from the other two women and pulling Kara along with her.
Sam sat there, staring at Lena with her mouth widened slightly while the two Danvers Sisters watched them with amusement on their faces.
“I didn’t want you to know about Kara because I know how you get whenever I start dating someone.”
“You’ve never really dated anyone, Lena...”
“Which is exactly why I didn’t tell you about her. You always expect my relationships to be… well…  meaningless sex… I didn’t want you to think whatever was happening with Kara was just a one-time thing… because,” Lena paused, taking Kara’s hand in her own and looking into beautiful blue eyes, “I like-- love her… a lot... More than anything in the world. And I’m hoping she’ll be a big part of my life… for a long time.”
Kara smiled as a blush came over Lena’s face. “You’re adorable babe…” she chuckled, kissing the brunette's cheek. “I love you too.”
“I approve!”
All three women turned to look at Alex who had just smacked down her mug of beer. The redhead smiled before downing the rest of her brew and looking around at the three pairs of eyes watching at her. “What? Why are you all staring at me?”
“Did you just say you approve?” Kara smiled widely as she pulled Lena closer. “See? I told you she’d approve of you sweetheart.”
Lena let out a heavy breath she hadn’t realize she was holding in. “Oh thank god…” she sighed in relief.
“Now, let’s get wasted!” Alex shouted, as she flagged down a waiter and ordering a few more rounds.
The night continued and the four women managed to closed down the bar. Though, they did get kicked out at around 3 AM when Alex tried to steal some booze from behind the counter.
They stumbled out from the building and looked around. “God, that was fucking awesome!” Alex shouted into the night.
“Shhh… too loud Danvers… too loud,” Sam mumbled as she grabbed onto the redhead’s arm. “No more loud noises please…”
Lena and Kara stood back slightly as they watched the two other women drunkenly walk out onto the sidewalk. Kara smiled as she held onto her girlfriend’s hand, keeping an eye on her sister to make sure she didn’t run out into the street.
“I’m glad you came out to a bar tonight…” she whispered, glancing down at the smaller brunette.
“Me too…” Lena smiled, leaning into the blonde’s side. “Who knew my best friend and your sister would get along so well…” she chuckled as Sam pulled Alex into a drunken kiss.
Kara shivered slightly. “Oh… gross…”
Lena let out a soft laugh as she leaned up to kiss her girlfriend. “I enjoyed meeting your sister tonight… I’m glad she approved of us…”
“I told you she would…”
“And you were right. Once again.” Lena smiled as she leaned up, kissing the blonde deeply.
“I love you, Kara Danvers…”
“I love you too, Lena Luthor…”

A/N: Morning, Peeps! Here is another request I have completed for the wonderful @tomesandrosebud. I’m not sure how I feel about how this one turned out and I feel like it’s a little bit shite, but my writer's block is worse than ever and something is way better than nothing. Please keep the requests coming as I have literally no ideas of my own! Moose :)
-----------------------------
“Hey, thank you for coming. Please come in” Dan welcomed you, stepping to the side of the front door, letting you into his apartment.
“No worries at all. Nice to meet you, I’m Y/N”
“Dan. So how do you know Mary?” He asked, leading you to his bedroom where the piano was.
“I’m a student of hers as well. I’ve known her since I was 19 years old after I moved to England and she’s been my piano teacher since. I’m honoured she’s recommended me actually”
“Oh, I thought you weren’t from here. I’m assuming you’re from America?”
You chuckled, “Did the accent give it away? Yeah, I’m American. I had to move here after some family issues. It's not all bad over here”
“Well, you have your work cut out now. I’m not very fancy”
“That’s not an issue” you laughed, “We all start somewhere. Oh gosh, this is gorgeous. Where did you get it?”
“Antique shop. It does the job” he shrugged, remembering finding the piano in the local antique shop near his parents.
“So how did you get on with Mary?” You asked, taking a seat in the chair Dan had set up next to the piano stool.
“Well, we were working on this piece here” he replied, getting a piece of sheet music from behind the stack.
“Oh! Comptine d`un autre été! This was the first piece I did with Mary”
“It’s a lovely piece…I get the melody but I am struggling with the rhythm”
“No worries, that’s what everyone struggles with on this piece. Let’s start then. Just play it how you usually would and I’ll help you along the way”
The two of you continued to laugh and play - Dan was surprisingly good at the piano, and he was clearly more advanced than you first anticipated. Your hour soon came to an end, and Dan was just showing you out the door when it opened suddenly, making you jump.
“Oh my - I am so sorry” you laughed, placing your hand on your heart.
“It was my fault, I’m really sorry” Phil laughed, shuffling past you into the hallway, “I’m Phil, by the way. Dan’s roommate”
“I’m Y/N, Dan’s new piano teacher” you smiled, feeling yourself blush slightly at his bright smile.
“Lovely to meet you”
“Yes. You too” you smiled back, the two of you staring at each other contently for a minute, making Dan feel very awkward.
Dan cleared his throat, “Well, I will see you next week then Y/N?”
“Yes! Yes. See you next week, Dan. See you Phil” you waved, quickly rushing out of the door.
“Wow. She’s a bit different to Mary, isn’t she Dan?” Phil asked, still staring at the door.
“She’s insane. She’s younger than me, so talented and she is nothing like evil Bloody Mary“
“And she comes every week?”
“Every Friday at 10”
“She’s so pretty,” Phil said, clearly not have recognising that he said it out loud.
“What?” Dan laughed, looking at Phil quizzically.
“Did I just say that out loud?”
Dan just laughed and walked away to continue editing the latest gaming channel video.
You returned each Friday for your weekly piano session with Dan, teaching him new techniques and pieces and really helping him improve and each week, Phil would always manage to find a way to speak to you, even if it was only a quick hello.
“Well done today, Dan. You are really improving…so much so that you may even be better than me by the end of the year”
“That’s impossible” you heard a voice behind you, “No one is better than you”
You turned around to find Phil, who quickly broke eye contact with you and awkwardly coughed, “At piano. You’re amazing at piano. No one is better at piano than you.”
You laughed awkwardly, “Thank you, Phil…that’s very sweet of you”
You walked past him and head towards the door, Dan following behind you but stopped to slap Phil behind the head.
“Absolutely pathetic, you know that? Ask her if she wants to stay for coffee or something”
“Was it really that bad?”
“Dude, you came across as a weird, creepy, old man, stalker! ‘No one is better than you’?  Really? Go on, ask her out like a normal person”
“I recovered” Phil mumbled as he headed towards the front door where you were collecting your coat.
“Recovered” Dan scoffed, shaking his head as he followed.
“Y/N!” Phil called to you as you were doing your shoe lace up.
“What’s up, Phil?” You smiled.
“I - We…we were wondering if you would like to stay for a coffee?”
“Oh, I would absolutely love to but unfortunately I have another lesson. I get to go and teach this lovely little boy called James. Reminds me a lot of Dan actually” you laughed, pulling your bag up your shoulder.
“Dan’s middle name is James” Phil blurted out, not entirely sure why he shared that information.
“That’s…great” you nodded, smiling politely as Phil awkwardly stood in front of you, “well, I should get going now”
“Oh! Oh of course, yes. Sorry. I’ll move”
“Thanks. Good work today, Dan and I’ll see you two next week” you waved, springing down the steps of their apartment block to the front door.
“Bye Y/N!” Dan shouted, looking at Phil and singling that they should go after you.
“What do I say?” Phil hissed, cautious that he may be too late.
“Just ask her out for god sake! GO!” Dan pushed him out the front door, and Phil rushed down the stairs to find you.
“Y/N!”
Turning around, you saw Phil burst through the front door of his apartment block, “Hey Phil”
“Listen, I um…I was wondering if…”
“Yes?” You urged him on, sensing that he was struggling to get the words out.
“If you would like to…go out with me sometime?”
You smiled and nodded, “Sure. Hows Friday at 8? We could go to the bar down the street from here.”
“Amazing. Yes. Thank you” Phil smiled, nodding furiously.
“Okay” you chuckled, “I’ll see you Friday”
Phil waved as you walked towards your car, “Friday”
——————————————
“Woah, looks at you. Someone’s fancy” Dan whistled as he walked into Phil’s room.
“Am I overdressed?”
“You sound panicked” Dan laughed, “Where are you going?”
“The bar down the road”
“Then yes. A bit overdressed. Lose the tie. And the suit jacket. And the white shirt.”
“You want me to get changed completely, Dan?”
“Go and shower, your hair is greasy. I’ll get an outfit together for you”
Phil scoffed, “How would you know what would impress Y/N?”
“Surprisingly, she’s my friend. I know I don’t have a lot of those, but Y/N is actually one of them. Go” Dan shoved him out the room, before heading towards the wardrobe.
Dan went through the entirety of Phil’s wardrobe as he was in the shower, cringing at some of the items he pulled out the drawers. Eventually, he settles on a pair of black, ripped jeans with a dark blue, flannel shirt.
“What did you pick out for me, mum?” Phil asked, walking into his bedroom with a towel around his waist.
“Ha. Ha. I picked out something simple, but not too casual”
Phil inspected the clothes laid out on his bed, nodding in silent agreement. Dan took this as his approval and took a deep breath.
“Well, I’m going to edit a video. Be back by midnight and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do”
“So I shouldn’t leave the house”
Dan paused, gasping as he clutched his chest, “Ouch, Phillip Lester. That hurt”
“Get out, I need to get dressed” Phil laughed, chucking a pair of socks at his head.
“I’m going! I’m going!” He surrendered, laughing as he left the room.
————————————
Phil bounced his knee in anticipation, his eyes fixed on the door in fear that you would never turn up. To his relief, you eventually turned up. He thought you looked beautiful in your blue jeans and an off the shoulder chiffon blouse, your hair slightly wet from the rain outside.
“Y/N!” He called over to you over the noise fo the bar, noticing you look around the bar for him.
“Hey, sorry I’m late. My last lesson over-ran slightly” you apologised, placing your bag at your feet as you sat down on the bar stool next to Phil.
“It’s ok. What can I get you to drink?”
“Peach Bellini Mocktail please,” you asked the bartender, who nodded his head in acknowledgement.
“No alcohol?” Phil questioned, taking a drink from his G&T.
“Oh, no. I don’t drink”
“Can I ask why?”
“I don’t think you want to hear about that this early on” you laughed nervously, smiling at the bartender in thanks as he handed you your drink.
“I can handle it”
You sighed, taking a sip from your drink before setting it down and looking at Phil, “My parents were very, very fond of alcohol. They would drink pure alcohol if they could. Anything with alcohol in, they would drink it. Which, in turn, made them quite violent…”
“Is that why you moved over here when you were younger?”
“How did you-“
“Dan. He said you moved from America when you were 19”
“Yeah, I…I had to. I was so sick of being treated so badly by the only two people in my life that I had to leave. I had tried to move in with my friends and even move states, but I was too close to my parents. I had to get off the grid completely so…London it was”
“That’s insane. All by yourself?”
“All by myself” you nodded, smiling contently.
“That’s so brave. You’ve done so well for yourself” ‘
“Well,” you laughed, “I certainly like to think so”
“I do” Phil smiled, looking at you sympathetically for a moment before quickly reverting his attention back to his drink, “Let’s change the subject…”
“Yes, let’s. I would be nice to know the basics before we delve back into the deep stuff”
Phil laughed, “I agree”
The two of you talked and laughed into the night, being some of the only few left in the bar at 11:30. You had learnt about Phil’s career and how he met with Dan, and how he came out as bi-sexual, whereas he learnt about your love for the piano and your time in America and your struggles with your parents.
When you finally realised the time, you gasped, “We’ve been here ages!”
Phil looked at his phone and laughed, “seems we have”
“I should really be getting back but I really don’t want to go. This is the most fun I’ve had in years!”
“We could do this again next week?”
You giggled and nodded your head, “Sounds good”
“Could I get your number? Just so we can decide what to do? I hear there’s a fair in town next week?”
“Sounds good” you said, handing him your phone.
“Great. I’ll see you next week” He smiled, kissing your cheek as you both left the bar.
“Friday” you repeated, embracing him before heading off towards your car, waving as you pulled out the car park.
Phil took a deep breath, smiling widely as he turned around and headed back to the apartment, his hands deep in his coat pockets to protect them from the cold, a single word replaying in his head as he thought about the night he had with you.
“Friday”

Odd Goings-On - One-Shot
So... this was a random idea I had... LOL XD
Tumblr media
“Isa!” Lea shouted, running forward across the roof of the Radiant Garden castle. The blue-haired boy’s face was cut up and bleeding, green eyes unfocused and staring up at the sky as he was lying on the ground. The silver-haired man leaning over Isa was smirking as a light emerged from Isa’s chest and glowed and spun for a moment, before shooting off into the sky.
Lea fell onto his knees on Isa’s other side, grabbing his friend’s arm in both hands, searching Isa’s blank stare for some sign of life before turning to the man. “What did you do to him?!” he demanded, glaring at Xehanort with tears running down his face.
Xehanort reached out and placed his hand on Lea’s chest. “Worry not. The pain will disappear,” he said.
Lea gasped as an overwhelming pain and darkness crashed through him. His vision went fuzzy and he blacked out.
He came to moments later, still lying on the floor of the castle’s roof.
The first thing he was aware of was someone shaking his shoulders. “Lea! Lea, wake up!” the familiar voice was one he’d know anywhere. His head was light and his eyes weren’t focusing, but he knew that wasn’t Isa speaking to him. Under his hand he could feel Isa’s arm.
“Astra... get out of here... now...” he groaned. He knew that he should have felt worried for her, but he didn’t. He didn’t feel... anything. No concern for Isa’s condition. No fear for what would happen to Astra should she stay.
He was empty. An empty chasm where his heart once was yawning open inside him.
The sensation left a profound ache in his chest.
“Astra... go...”
“No! I’m not leaving you! Isa’s bleeding. He’s awake but unresponsive and you were unconscious when I found you!” Long blue-gray hair—longer than but similarly colored to Ienzo’s—swam into focus as his vision improved.
“Xe... Xehanort... did this...” Lea muttered.
“What?” Astra breathed, sounding astounded. “What did he do?”
“Removed... our... hearts. You... need... to leave.” Clarity was returning to his mind. “Before you suffer the same fate. Go.” He sat up. Astra’s silvery-gray eyes were full of fear and concern. He grabbed her shoulders. “Get out of the castle. Get out of Radiant Garden if you can! Now!”
“Lea I can’t leave you!”
“You’ll find that boy is no longer Lea,” a deep voice said from behind. Astra and Lea whirled. It was Xehanort—but something was different. He had the same empty look that Lea felt. “He will now be known as Axel.”
“Why?” Astra demanded, putting herself between Lea and Xehanort.
“Astra, no,” Lea tried, a hand on her shoulder attempting to push her out of the way and failing. He was still groggy from his heart being torn from his body.
Xehanort chuckled. “You were always Ansem’s boldest pupil. Perhaps you should join our cause as well. Your will is strong.”
“Give them back their hearts, Xehanort!” Astra ordered.
“I cannot. Their hearts have been separated from their bodies. Only by their death can they be made whole again. And you don’t want that, do you?” He smirked. “And I am no longer Xehanort. I am... Xemnas.”
Astra took a step back, holding Lea’s wrist in one hand protectively. “Take me with you,” she said.
“Astra no!” Lea pleaded. “Get out of here!”
“I told you once before, Lea. You and Isa are the family I’ve found for myself. After my and Ienzo’s parents disappeared, this castle’s been all we’ve known. And if Xemnas is taking you away from here, I’m coming too.”
Xemnas smirked. “How I hoped you’d come willingly,” he said.
Darkness swept out of him and slammed into Astra.
“NO!” Lea shouted. She fell back, dazed, right into his arms. “Astra! Astra why would you—?”
The light glowed around her edges and emerged from her chest before shooting into the sky.
“Stand down, Axel. She will be alright. She will the same as you are now,” Xehanort—no, Xemnas—droned. “And now you won’t have to leave her behind.”
Xemnas swept a hand across the area in front of where Astra was slumped in Lea—Axel’s—arms. Her name appeared in glowing, floating letters. A flick of Xemnas’ wrist sent them spinning around her while she gazed on blankly, gray eyes empty of everything they once held.
They slammed to a stop in the wrong order, a golden X branded into them. “Number Nine, Staxar. Cosmic Channel. Welcome to Organization Thirteen.” Xemnas turned, and called over his shoulder, “Axel. Bring Saïx and Staxar to the courtyard when they’ve recovered.” With that, he stepped down the stairs and vanished into the shadows of the darkened castle.
Axel lowered Astra—Staxar—to the floor next to Isa. Saïx. “You idiot,” he whispered to her. “Why would you do that?”
“He... already... took... Ienzo. You, him, and Isa are... everything... to me. Can’t... lose you.” She reached out with one hand and took Saïx’s, her other hand reaching up to brush Axel’s face. “It’s... gonna be... okay.”
*****
“Hey Saïx?” I called, peering through doorways in the castle, looking for Saïx. “Saaaïïïx?! Where are yooou?”
“Staxar!”
“Oh! Hey Axel. You seen Saïx?”
“He was in the meeting room last I checked. Talking with Xemnas.”
“Oh. I’ll wait for him then,” I said.
“Staxar?”
“Yeah Axel?”
“What are you looking for Saïx for?”
“Oh. Just need to talk to him about my mission yesterday. I think I forgot to put something in my report. And I don’t know where he put it so I can update it.”
“Boring. You’re such a Goody-Goody.”
I paused and blinked. “I... would disagree with you. I... have never made many attempts at being a goody two shoes. I’m just trying to do one thing that’ll keep Saïx from nagging me about being forgetful like he does with Demyx.”
Axel snorted. “Fair enough. Okay. Yeah just wait for him to get done. He’ll probably head to his room. Wait for him there.”
“I will. Thanks Axel.”
I headed for Saïx’s bedroom, and waited outside it for all of five minutes before getting dragged by Demyx to the commons area to hang out—and do a duet. I was, apparently, the only member of the Organization who enjoyed singing. Or was, at least, willing to sing with Demyx when he played his sitar.
We hung out in the commons for a few songs, me singing and Demyx playing. How Demyx got anything done I still had no idea. I swear he never did any work.
“Hey Staxar?” Demyx asked. “What were you hangin’ around Saïx’s room for anyway?”
“I wanted to talk to him about my mission report from yesterday. I think I forgot to put something in it,” I answered honestly.
“You actually fill those out?”
“Don’t you?”
“Not well.”
“No wonder Saïx is always on your case.”
Demyx shrugged and retuned to the sitar. “It’s not like he’s ever gonna do more than talk.”
I snorted. “If you say so. But don’t come crying to me when he beans you upside the head.”
That made Demyx laugh.
There was a lull in conversation during which Demyx plucked at his strings. “Hey. Maybe we should run away and become a performing duo,” he suggested. The sarcasm wasn’t lost on me. I snorted.
“Nah. I can’t leave Zexion and Axel and Saïx behind.”
“Thaaat’s right! I keep forgetting Zexion is your brother. I mean yeah you look alike but you don’t act alike at all.”
“He was always more reserved than I was,” I said, twisting some of my hair around my fingers. “I had to be louder because I had to take care of him. Even after I met Is—Saïx and Axel.”
“Right. Well, at least let me be in charge of the music at your wedding when you and Saïx get married, mkay?” Demyx remarked.
I dropped my hair. “What?!” I demanded.
He looked confused, brushing a loose clump of hair back up into place. “What? Isn’t that why you’re so attached to that stick in the mud?”
“No!”
“Really? I always thought you were in love with him.”
“I am not in love with Saïx!” I exclaimed, voice going squeaky. “I can’t feel anything, remember?!”
“Huh. Oh yeah.” Demyx threw his arms behind his head casually. “Forgot about that. You two just act like an old married couple.”
“Shut your face, Demyx,” I snapped, pushing myself to my feet. “Saïx and I were friends in the old life. Only friends. We were too young when we lost our hearts for anything else.”
“You were, what? Fifteen? Sixteen? That’s plenty old enough to have a crush on somebody.”
“Demyx, are you trying to goad me into beating your face in?”
“No. Just bringing up something you and Saïx refuse to acknowledge.”
“If I did have a heart and could feel, I would say ‘I hate you.’ Now, if you’ll excuse me, I really do have to attend to business.” I moved to leave the commons area.
“Just don’t forget to lock the door!” Demyx called.
I whirled, daggers appearing in my hands. “DEMYX!”
He was gone, the last vestige of a dark corridor closing. I ground my teeth and let my daggers vanish. That idiot’s teasing was going to get him killed. Probably by me but maybe by Saïx if he caught wind of it.
I rolled my eyes and went back through the halls to Saïx’s room. It was slightly ajar and the light was on. He’d returned from his meeting with Xemnas apparently. “Saïx?” I called, knocking on the frame and pushing the door open. “I was wondering if you would let me edit my mission report from yester—OH GOSH SORRY!” I clapped one hand over my eyes.
Saïx was standing at his window without any sort of shirt on. He had on his uniform trousers but that was it. His blue hair was lying, damp, down his back, looking like he’d just finished combing through it.
“I did knock!” I squeaked, trying not to peek between my fingers.
“Yes. I heard you. Are you feeling embarrassed?” Saïx asked.
“No,” I said. “I don’t feel anything. But it’s rude and indecent of me to—”
“Staxar. Enough. What were you here for?”
I cleared my throat. “I think I forgot some details in my mission report from yesterday,” I said. “I was wondering if I could make sure and edit it.”
“Of course,” Saïx said. He crossed to his desk—he was like the only member of the Organization who had a desk in his room—and pulled open one of the drawers. It was full of files. He rifled through it and then handed me my report.
“Thanks. I’ll bring it right—”
He offered me a pen. “Just go through it here,” he said, cutting me off.
I cleared my throat and accepted the pen before leaning over his desk to glance through it and make sure I had everything in it. I tried really hard not to peek at Saïx while I looked through my report but it was kinda hard not to as he still hadn’t put a shirt on. I had known him for most of my life at this point and had never once seen him without one apart from right now.
He and Axel were built similarly—with Axel being slightly skinnier—but Saïx had more bulk. His muscles were the lean-and-wiry kind while still being whipcord strong. Because how else was he supposed to wield that giant claymore? He wasn’t as obviously-bulky as Lexaeus and Xaldin but he had definition.
If I still had a heart I’d probably be uncomfortable.
I chewed my lip hard and focused on my work. There were a few details I’d left out that I quickly added back in. When I was done I handed the papers back to Saïx. “Done. Thanks.”
“Of course. I appreciate your endeavors to be accurate.”
“Yeah. Uh... thanks. No problem.” I nodded and moved to leave.
“Staxar?” Saïx asked.
“Hmm?” I didn’t trust myself to turn around because I’d probably be too distracted to meet his eye, so I faced the door.
“I heard you and Demyx talking.”
“He was just joking around. You know how he is,” I said, gaze focused on the door.
Saïx’s hand rested on my shoulder. “Staxar we were children when we joined the Organization.”
“Teenagers,” I corrected. “Treated like children and expected to act like adults. Saïx...” I shook my head. “Never mind. Demyx was just being a punk.” I slipped out from under his hand on my shoulder.
“Should his harassment of you continue I could have him reprimanded—or even punished should it come to that.”
“It’s not harassment and it’s not a big deal.”
“Staxar, we were friends. It’s among the duties of a friend to—”
“Okay. Two things. One: we are friends, Saïx. Present-tense,” I interrupted. “And two: you don’t do nice things for your friends out of duty or obligation. You do it because they’re your friends and you want to. Anyway. You really don’t have to play favorites. I’m fine and I can handle Demyx on my own. But thanks.” I gave him a brief smile over my shoulder before rushing out of his room.
I ran to Axel’s and knocked on his door. He opened it after a second. “What’s up? You find Saïx?”
“Worse. I just walked in on Saïx shirtless with his hair wet like he’d just gotten out of the shower. I have never done anything more awkward in my entire life and I’m not even able to feel embarrassed!”
Axel started laughing, pulling me into his room and shutting the door. “Staxar, you are a treasure to be around. Your strange misadventures are a never-ending source of entertainment for me.” He leaned against the wall and folded his arms. “How’s that crush on Isa from when we were teenagers now, hmm?”
“I did not have a crush on Saïx,” I snapped.
“No, not Saïx. Isa. He’s... changed in the past couple years. Not that you’d notice. He doesn’t act like Saïx around you. He acts like Isa around you. And only you.”
“Really?”
“Uh-huh. Ever notice how sharp he is in meetings?”
“A little.”
“Yeah. That’s Saïx. But you only ever see Isa when you’re alone with him.”
“Is he playing favorites?”
“I think he had a crush on you when we were teenagers,” Axel remarked. “And the part of him that remembers that treats you special. Because there is a part of him that remembers being able to feel...”
“Axel... If it’s just me... is he Saïx with you too?”
“Oh yeah. But it’s okay. I’m used to him in every mood.”
Someone knocked on the door. “Axel? Have you seen Staxar?” a familiar voice called.
“I’m in here chatting, Zexion!” I shouted back.
The door opened.
“Sure just come on in,” Axel muttered sarcastically. My brother ignored him.
“Staxar, I would like a word.”
“Sure thing,” I said. “See ya, Axel. Thanks for the chat.”
“Any time.” He laughed and clapped me on the shoulder. I dodged out of his room.
Zexion had opened a corridor and gestured for me to go through it.
“Oh. A private conversation, eh?” I said with a smile, ducking through it. My brother’s blue eyes blinked but he said nothing, following after me quickly.
We emerged in Traverse Town. It was after dark and the streets were mostly empty. “Staxar,” Zexion started. “What are your real feelings for Saïx?”
“Don’t have any,” I said. “I’m supposed to love you because you’re my brother but I just don’t. You know we can’t. Our hearts were cast off when we joined the Organization.”
“You sacrificed your heart to come with Isa, Lea, and I. Without a second thought. Why would you do such a thing?”
“The three of you were all I had. You had Master Ansem and Vexen and Lexaeus and Xaldin keeping their eye on you but because I was older and female they assumed I was responsible enough to take care of myself. I rarely saw any of them. Just you, Lea, and Isa.”
“But... you did have feelings for Saïx didn’t you? In the old life?”
“Yes. I did. But it’s... fuzzy to say the least. I remember being aware of how deeply I loved all three of you one second, and the next second everything was gone and I was empty. I remember Axel shouting my name. And my feelings for Isa... I still look at him and remember them. But I don’t feel them anymore.”
“Didn’t you once whisper to Lea that you wanted to marry Isa?”
“Someone like Isa,” I corrected. “Someone less exuberant than Lea but slightly more verbal than you.” We found a park bench and sat down. “Getting you to talk was like pulling teeth.”
“I’m aware. I was a shy child.”
“I know, Zexion. When our parents disappeared... before we were taken into Master Ansem’s care, you and I wandered the streets of Radiant Garden on our own. You were maybe two at the time. You wouldn’t remember it now. I think the experience of the two of us on our own scared you out of talking for a long time.” I wrapped my arms around him. He’d already grown taller than me and he was thirteen. “And I’ve always felt guilty for failing you there.”
“Astra,” Zexion said, brushing his bangs behind his ear in order to look me in the face fully. He only ever did so for me. I hadn’t heard anyone call me my real name in a long time. “You did not fail me. Everything we went through brought us to where we are now. You’ve always done your best to take care of me and you’re the only blood family I have. I’ve always admired your bravery and your strength.” He wrapped his arms around me in turn. “And if it makes you feel any better, I approve of you and Saïx.”
My mouth dropped open. “Zexion!” I protested. “There’s nothing to approve of! There’s nothing there!”
“Everyone in the Organization knows that’s a lie.”
“I...”
“He liked you too, you know,” Zexion said. “But he’d never admit it out loud.”
I snorted. “That sounds like Saïx. But how would you know?”
“I overheard him telling Lea in the castle a few days before we gave up our hearts.”
I sighed. “Well, unfortunately, the situation we’re in now doesn’t really allow for anything to happen.”
“If you say so.” Zexion opened another corridor around himself and vanished.
I sighed and followed him through my own corridor back to the Organization’s castle. I appreciated that Zexion opened up to me—because as Ienzo he hadn’t much—but I was getting really tired of the teasing. Demyx and Axel I could understand. They were playful by nature. But Zexion? It was almost bizarre to have my quiet, intellectual baby brother poking fun at a five-year-old crush on Saïx that I was currently incapable of feeling.
Back at the castle, I went to my own room and got ready to get some sleep.
Once I showered, I stood at my window, looking at our Kingdom Hearts, with my wet hair hanging to my waist, standing only in my sleeping clothes and bare feet.
Knock-knock-knock!
“Who is it?” I called out of habit, despite being able to identify most of the Organization’s members by their knock alone.
“Me,” Saïx’s voice said.
I pulled my black coat on over my nightdress. “Oh boy here we go,” I whispered before pulling the door open. “To what do I owe the visit?”
“May I come in?”
Ignoring the warning bells going off in my mind labelled Awkward Situation Alert!!!, I opened the door wider. “Sure,” I said, letting him enter and backing up. He shut the door behind him, quiet and polite.
Saïx folded his arms. “I spoke to Demyx,” he said.
“Isa, I told you, you didn’t have—”
“He sought me out.”
“I doubt it was to apologize.”
“Demyx? No.” Saïx shook his head. “He sought me out and told me it was about time you and I were honest with ourselves.”
“That punk,” I muttered.
“Staxar...” he trailed off. I stared at him for a moment. The thing about being a Nobody was we didn’t feel anything. No shame. No remorse. No happiness either. No love. The love I once felt had been stripped and hollowed out of me a long time ago.
But... for some reason... I could feel that love. Fluttering in my chest like a large moth.
“Ye... yeah?” I asked quietly.
“I believe... for all his faults... Demyx may be right this time,” Saïx said quietly.
Shut up and kiss me, you big idiot, I thought, but didn’t dare say aloud. “You... you think?” I said instead.
“I do.”
I lifted my head. “Then kiss me.”
That earned me a smile. “I’m the one who gives the orders around here.”
“Not with this.”
Saïx’s hands found my shoulders and pulled me closer. He was a lot taller than me despite being the same age, so he had to lean down to reach me.
When our lips met, it felt like everything crashed down around me. Nothing else mattered. My chest was on fire and my knees grew weak. I never wanted it to end.
Five years of being a Nobody—of having no heart or emotions—made the experience overwhelming. A rush of feeling rushed over me like an ocean wave.
I probed at the kiss slightly, testing Saïx’s boundaries.
I was surprised when he went along without resisting me or chastising that I was going too far. But he did.
Caught up in a riptide of reckless passion, I shoved him back against the wall of my bedroom. He responded by holding me closer, hands finding the zipper of my coat and pulling it down to reveal my night dress.
He tasted like hundreds of missed opportunities.
I don’t know how long the kiss lasted, but it wasn’t nearly long enough.
Saïx pulled away, closing his eyes and turning his face away from me. “No,” he said. “We... I can’t,” he muttered.
“Saïx...” I didn’t want to apologize—because what was I supposed to apologize for?—but I didn’t know what else to do.
But, before I could say anything, he swept out of my room, the door hissing shut. I was alone, my coat sliding off my shoulders. I let it fall to the ground and collapsed onto my bed.
“What was I thinking?!” I muttered.
*****
“Quite the display, Saïx,” a voice remarked as Saïx strode down the corridors towards his bedroom. “I mean, I didn’t see it, but I heard it.” Xigbar chuckled, falling into step beside Saïx—who rolled his eyes. “You two’ve had it bad for each other since Ansem took her and her baby brother in.”
“Need I remind you that, as Nobodies, we don’t have hearts or emotions. Any feelings I once held for Staxar are long gone.”
Xigbar scoffed. “As if,” he retorted. “I can see right through you, kid.”
“I am no longer a child, Xigbar.”
“Whatever you say.”
Saïx turned into his bedroom and slid the door shut in Xigbar’s face.
After so much passion had filled him moments ago, fear was taking its place. Fear of the love and passion he’d felt. Fear of what the kiss would mean for Staxar’s and his safety in the Organization.
*****
Saïx stopped talking to me after that outside of assigning me to missions and ordering me around. Axel insisted everything would be fine—I just needed to give Saïx some time—but the more time passed, the less Saix spoke to me. And the less hope I had that Axel’s words would come true. I’d lost Isa five years ago. And it looked like I was losing Saïx too.
Empty and confused, I couldn’t figure out what to do. I wanted to confront him but I didn’t want to demean him in front of the other Organization members. He had a lot of responsibilities for being Number Seven.
“It’s okay. It’ll blow over,” Axel reassured me when we were paired together for a recon mission.
“What if it doesn’t?” I retorted.
“It will. Saïx—Isa—he’s just not used to... any of that. Even when we were kids. Remember? He was always pretty reserved. Just give him a chance to come around.”
And I tried. Good light I tried to give Saïx a chance to come around.
It wasn’t my fault that he didn’t. I acted the same as I always did—friendly and cheery—both around him and everyone else. And he still wouldn’t talk to me except to give me orders.
“This is driving me mad,” I complained to Zexion after a few weeks. “Saïx won’t even talk to me anymore!”
“Perhaps you overwhelmed him.”
“It’s not that kind of avoidance! This is the mean kind.” I sat down with a huff and looked around. “Where are we, anyway?”
“Agrabah.”
“No wonder I feel like I’m going to melt.”
“Would you rather go to Atlantica?”
“Yes.”
Zexion snorted. “Let’s not. Please.”
I shrugged. “Okay.”
“Staxar, I have a suggestion.”
“And what’s that?”
“Focus on your work for now. Let Saïx figure himself out and just work for now.”
I took a deep breath. “Yeah alright. Okay, Zexion.”
So that was what I did. Threw myself headlong into my work. I pushed myself to my limits and then kept pushing. It turned into a welcome distraction from the suffocating pressure of knowing that something about the kiss pushed Saïx away from me when I’d kind of hoped it would bring us closer together.
“Hey, uh, Staxar? Maybe you should slow down a little,” Axel remarked one day about a week later.
“I can’t. Because the second I do, all I think about is Saïx and what happened.”
“What exactly did happen?”
I recounted the story again, not really expecting Axel to listen—
But got cut off by a large monster swooping overhead.
“Whoa. That thing’s... enormous,” I said. I summoned my daggers and looked at Axel. “Come on! Let’s take it down!” I took off after it, hurling myself headlong into danger.
“Stax, I don’t think that’s a good idea—STAXAR!” Axel shouted.
*****
Many Years Later...
*****
“Y’know, I wasn’t always Number Nine,” Demyx said to Roxas, strumming away at his sitar. “I started at Number Ten.”
“What happened to the original Number Nine?” Roxas asked.
Axel glanced up from his chakrams where he was sharpening them. “She destroyed herself,” he said. “Everyone underneath her moved up a number and Larxene was recruited in her place.”
“Who was she?”
Axel shuffled uncomfortably. “Her name was Staxar. She was... Zexion’s older sister. She and Saïx were close. She was my friend too. She joined the Organization so she could stay with us—Saïx, Zexion, and me.”
“What made her unique?”
“She had an incredible cosmic ability. She could channel the energy of the stars,” Axel said.
“Why did she... destroy herself?” Roxas asked.
“Something bad happened,” Axel answered evasively. “It’s a... long story for another time.”
“Oh. Will you tell it to me?”
Axel scratched the back of his head. “One day.”

Family Found Part 46: At the Worst
The Secret that’s been keeping Y/N and the Raw roster on edge finally comes to the surface. As threatened, Dean is at risk of losing everything… unless he can fight back one last time.
Warnings/Promises: wrestling violence, reconciliation
Word Count: 3525
Note: Oh my gosh. I keep looking at my series plot list, and it’s a little freaky to see it with so few chapters left. Pretty much everything is already plotted out, and in a perfect world I’d just write it all in a weekend and queue it to go. Probably won’t happen, but eh. Thank you guys for sticking around for this personal test of mine. Please let me know what you’ve thought about this series. DMs and anon are always open. Enjoy!
Part 1: Welcome to the Team
Part 45: Oncoming Storm
Tumblr media
Despite the ruckus he’d caused in your office, Elias was not available for Drew McIntyre to beat up. Because you hadn’t seen him. Nobody had. As a replacement, you placed Bobby Lashley and Dolph Ziggler in his path for a handicap match.
“That’s smart of Y/N,” Renee noted, “McIntyre practically hates Dolph, and Lashley is a strong challenge. Together they should be able to handle his rage.”
Corey wasn’t so agreeable. “Yeah, smart. I think that Y/N gave Elias too many chances; it’s gone to his head! First, he doesn’t fight last week. Then this week he can’t be found?”
“Well someone who will be found tonight will be Brock Lesnar. As Seth Rollins said last week, tonight is the signing of the contract for their WrestleMania match. All three of our competitors will get to face-off tonight.”
Renee harrumphed. “Debatable. No one’s seen him either.”
Each time Lashley or Dolph switched tags, Drew took a second to breathe. To reset. He was wearing the men down, instead of the other way around. If he could keep this up at WrestleMania, then Elias was going to be in trouble.
Just thinking the name summoned a guitar strum. Drew stumbled in his attack as he heard the guitar and saw Elias circle the ring. Elias wasn’t singing, just strumming, but it was enough to distract Drew from a series of coordinated moves. He roared and shifted his focus back. Calmly, Elias watched as Drew took control of the match again, eventually pinning Lashley.
McIntyre’s knuckles paled with his grip on the ropes as he stared down at Elias. It made his blood boil that Elias wasn’t even bothered to react. As the drifter walked away, Drew swore that he was going to regret every note and strum.
***
Lashley and Ziggler weren’t even out of the ring yet when Sami Zayn came out to the ring. He danced his way down the ramp, then took a mic. “How would you all like to see me put my life on the line?” It wasn’t what everyone thought he was going to say, but they welcomed the thought anyway. “Alrighty then.”
With a smart click of his heels, he turned to face the stage. “I’ve got something to get off my chest. Now I’m an NXT grown wrestler myself, and I’ll be the first to admit that moving up to the main roster isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, but when it comes to the ‘Authors of Pain’,” he said with quotation fingers, “I don’t see champions. I see puppets. First Paul Ellering. Then Drake Maverick. And now… Dr. M, whatever that means. So, I’m calling out you, AOP. Not your puppet master. I say that you can’t defend those titles without help. That you are not champions. And that you are cowards that hide behind someone else. That you hide because there are not two strategic brain cells between you-”
He shivered as their music interrupted. But he smiled. Everything was going to plan. They marched to the ring, circling it. They stood on the apron on the opposite side of the ring. Sami’s back was to the stage when the lights went out. When they came back up, Dr. M. was behind him inside the ropes.
“Those are some strong words, Sami,” his voice made Sami whip around. “But I know you meant every word. And I understand. You are a hypocrite. A coward that would never speak your mind out loud without Kevin Owens watching your back.” Slowly, Dr. M turned and faced Kevin Owens, who was just finishing his stealth climb into the ring. Unbothered, he turned back around. “You can lead a man to a hospital, but you can’t force him to medicine. So be it. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have other patients to see to.” Giving a strong eye to Kevin, he left the ring. He snapped and AOP entered the ring, dragging in a referee.
The match that followed was rough. Akam and Rezar did not appreciate Sami’s opinion of them, nor Kevin’s attempt to attack their manager. At the same time, Kevin and Sami were standing by their proof. Without someone telling them what to do, AOP was stalling before attacks. A lucky hit took Kevin to the canvas, where he was pinned. They left celebrating like NXT days, then slipped back into their more serious mood before leaving the arena.
***
Deep in thought, you weren’t watching where you were going. You collided with something hard and tall. Something that turned out to be a someone.
“No, Seth. I can’t talk about this.” You tried to move past him, but Roman stepped in to block your path too.
“We have to talk about something.” Roman let go of your shoulders, give you range to turn back to Seth.
“Whatever they’ve offered you, it’s not worth it. Trust me.” Seth pleaded with his eyes. You avoided looking at them and focused on anything else in the hallway.
“I didn’t do it for the money or the fame. Your story was lesson enough.” Your voice dropped, weary. “That’s not what they’ve got on me.”
Seth titled your chin up. “What are you talking about? Whatever it is, we can help you.”
“No, you can’t.” Why was it so hard to breath? “It’s my fault and I have to do what I can to work around it.” The statement distracted them enough for you to get by, but Roman caught you again.
He leaned down and did his best to look you in the eye. “Y/N?”
No oxygen. No thoughts. Just the words you didn’t want to say. “It’s a contract. I pitched it to Stephanie and Hunter and thought they liked it. But they added things. Things that would rip Dean apart and-“ You broke away from his grasp. “I can’t talk about this. I’ve said too much already. You’re just going to have to let me be.”
They stayed for a minute while you practically ran down the hallway. Blinded by the boil of emotions, you ran into someone else.
“Y/N, we need to talk.” Baron loomed overhead.
“I can’t. I’m busy.” You hissed as his arm flashed out to block your way.
“Make time. I want a match. Tonight. Now would be good.”
You sighed and looked behind you when you heard footsteps. Roman saw Baron and knew why he was there. He gave you a nod, which didn’t exactly please you, but it got both men out of the way so you could think. “Fine. You and Roman have a match tonight. Now.” You stood still while Baron gloated. He dropped his arm with a chuckle, giving you room to finally escape.
***
Both men weren’t going to give an inch. Even as their energy waned, the crowd was enjoying the display of power. Roman fell into the ropes on one side, trying to catch his breath. As he got back up and looked off into the crowd, Dr. M popped up in front of his face. Startled, he fell back into Baron’s next attack. He quickly recovered but was shaken. Dr. M had disappeared. Eerie laughter came from one corner, though nobody was there.
Baron fell to the canvas. Roman geared up for a spear. Dr. M appeared over his shoulder. Roman saw him on the Titantron and spun around to attack. Baron swooped in as Roman missed with a swing, beating him to the canvas and finally winning the pin. Then he got the hell out of the ring. No need to stick around when Dr. M was doing his thing. Dean and Seth ran by him on the ramp. They circled around Roman’s kneeling form.
With his eerie laugh in full force, Dr. M left the ring. He stood at the base of the ramp. And then he was gone.
Seth and Dean helped Roman to his feet and out of the ring. “Don’t worry about me,” he said, shrugging them off. “You guys have enough to worry about tonight. I haven’t seen him, but if Brock does show up, you need to be focused.”
Seth sighed. “I take that to mean you won’t be at the signing?”
“No.”
“Then what will you be doing?” Dean asked. He read the expression on Roman’s face. And disagreed. “Really?”
“I’m going to be watching Y/N’s back. Same way I watch yours.” He tried to walk on his own but limped up the ramp.

Ruby had issued another open challenge. With WrestleMania not even two weeks away, in her eyes, no one was going to be able to take the title from her. She laughed with Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan in the ring while waiting for her opponent. They all froze as “I’m not like most girls,” played through the speakers. Ruby was mostly silent, and she didn’t appreciate her girls’ giggles as they wished her luck.
Their giggles turned to worried hints and tips as Ruby struggled. Nia was taking no prisoners. Several times, the bell box readied to announce a new champion. Each time, Ruby desperately kicked out. The counts got closer and closer to three. Sarah and Liv jumped up onto the apron, ready to spring at a moment’s notice. Nia moved to knock them off. The referee was checking on Ruby, giving the Squad room to attack her without repercussions. Ruby saw her fall and took advantage, retaining her title.
Like a pack of hyenas, the women laughed all the way backstage.
***
Alexa Bliss inched around a corner. She breathed a sigh of relief and proudly took a step forward without looking. She bumped into Ruby, fresh out of her match. “Well hello there, Alexa!” she tried to dart away, but Ruby tossed an arm over her shoulder. “Didn’t Liv and Sarah tell you I was looking for you?”
Alexa gulped. Then disgusted, she removed Ruby’s arm from her shoulder. “Yeah. So?”
“Well, you kept harping on ‘unfinished business’… and I have to agree,” she sighed. “We’re not done. Now I just beat Nia, since you missed it lurking around backstage, and I am still without a match for WrestleMania. And it sucks, but you don’t have one either.” She talked over Alexa’s sputtering. “I know you’re going to be busy hosting, but why don’t we help each other out? I mean, I could always beat you up here and now, or I’ll just destroy you there. But you’ll have a chance. You game?”
As Ruby caught her forearm in a vice-grip, Alexa grimaced and grit her teeth. “What do you have in mind?”
Ruby smiled dangerously. “We have a match next week. Either way, you’re going to WrestleMania. But if I win, I pick the stipulation and you don’t know until the match starts. And if you win… well, I’ll still beat you but at least you’ll have a say in which way. Sound good? Great. See you next week.”
She was off like a shot, leaving Alexa to rub some feeling back into her arm.
***
As the new Raw Women’s tag champions, Bayley and Sasha Banks had a few things to say about the former champions. “They did what they set out to do,” Sasha said. “They brought our new tag titles to the forefront of the business. Last week they had the main event of Raw. They were dominant, beating any team that came their way. And the Riott Squad proved time and time again that the women’s division was something to pay attention to.”
Bayley nodded in agreement. “Having said that, they forgot one little thing. Nothing lasts forever. The women’s division is constantly moving forward. Evolving. Growing stronger and building momentum. Getting better and better. Their time is over. We are the future. We have been through NXT, Smackdown, Raw. The future is now. And it is standing here in this ring.” They held their titles up, then dropped them and fell into a fighting stance.
With their music, Natalya and Rhonda Rousey walked onto the stage. “That may be so,” Natalya said, “but as you said, nothing lasts forever. Prove that you are the so-called best of the business.” She motioned between herself and Rhonda. “You ladies up for a challenge?”
The Boss n’ Hug Connection shared a smile. Sasha nodded. “Sure. Are you?”
During the match that followed, Bayley and Sasha showed off. The high was still real, and they were capable of riding the adrenaline without making too many mistakes. Rhonda and Natalya, on the other hand, were struggling. Both were dominant in the ring. But when it came time to tag or to work together, cracks turned into fissures. One would reach for a tag, and the other would be missing. Then Rhonda was thrown from the ring. It took her eight seconds to wobble back to the ring. At nine seconds, she was reaching for the roes to pull herself up. At ten, she couldn’t get into the ring. Furious, she stepped back, dragging Liv Morgan out from under the ring.
On the other side, Sarah Logan attacked Natalya, knocking her to the ground. The former champions disappeared as quickly as they’d appeared. Thus freed, Natalya and Rhonda met back in the ring while Sasha and Bayley rolled out and watched from the ramp. The two women began to blame one another. Defending themselves truthfully to the Riott Squad’s interference, but neither was listening. The referee pushed them apart before it turned into another brawl. Natalya stomped off, breaking through Sasha and Bayley on her way by.
***
You focused on not letting your anxiety show. The ring had never felt so large an empty. Or so foreboding. It was time to address the WWE universe. “As you all know, in just thirteen days, WrestleMania will finally be here.” Their response made your cheeks twitch with a small smile. “There are one or two spots that haven’t been filled yet, but we’ve still got two weeks. That brings us to tonight. And to a contract signing.” You took a breath to call Seth and Dean to the ring, but Stephanie McMahon and Triple H’s intros interrupted in turn.
They calmly walked down to the ring. Stephanie carried the leather folder in one arm. She sent you a perturbed smile after stepping through the ropes. “Y/N, I found this in your office and figured you might need it. It’s kinda hard to have a contract signing without the contract.”
“Oops,” you halfheartedly gulped.
Hunter stepped into the ring too. You moved to the other side, using the space like an invisible barricade. “I would like to think otherwise, but it almost looks like you don’t want this match to happen as planned. Don’t you think Dean is mad at you enough?”
“Leave him out of this.”
Speak of the devil, Dean’s music sounded. You closed your eyes. This was a bad dream. Seth followed him out to his own music. And he had questions. “So, I noticed a large absence backstage. Care to explain that, Hunter?” He joined Dean on the far side of the ring, forcing you to stand in the middle.
“That’s right, Seth,” he mocked, “Brock Lesnar isn’t here. How observant of you. No, Brock signed the contract already, as witnessed by Paul Heyman. I’ll be signing as your witness.”
You stammered, “witnessed?”
The explanation was handed off to Stephanie. “Well, given the specifics of this match, we need to make sure that the competitors are willing to endure the consequences. And that they are doing this of their own free will.”
“Consequences? Free will?” Dean shared a look with Seth, then looked at you with a growl. “What is she talking about, Y/N?”
“Go on, Y/N, tell them what this is.” Stephanie waved the leather folder in her hand. Then handed it to you. Hunter stood behind her, daring you to rebel.
You swallowed. Hard.
“It’s a contract. For a triple threat match at WrestleMania for the Universal Championship.” The crowd initially cheered, but it faded into confusion. “You two against Brock Lesnar, and against each other.”
Dean and Seth shared a look. Seth shrugged. “So? This sounds like another one of your great ideas.”
“It was.” If you could keep your breathing even for a few more minutes, maybe you wouldn’t stutter. “When I pitched it to management,” you gestured towards Stephanie and Hunter, “it was a normal match with room for a no disqualification clause. But they… it developed into more. Another clause was added.” You licked your lips desperately.
“Keep going, Y/N. You’re just now getting to the best part.” Hunter stepped closer and patted you on the shoulder to encourage you. It did nothing but make you shiver.
“As the contracts stands, whoever loses the match has to leave WWE. Forever.” The crowd gasped, though Dean and Seth were still confused. “It’s not just whoever gets pinned, which was the original idea. It’s both of the competitors who lose.” The words began to pour out. “This means, Dean, that even if you pin Lesnar, Seth would have to leave too. Or you would if he pins Lesnar. Or both of you. The original plan was to create an opening to finally get rid of the Beast. I thought… I knew between the two of you that you could beat him. I thought…” you turned back to look at the Authority. “I thought I was doing what… what was best for business.”
Stephanie barked out a laugh. “What’s best for business? Brock Lesnar is one of our biggest assets. Why would we ever give you a chance to ruin that for WWE?”
“You guys are wasting your money to pay him to do nothing. Lesnar is not a champion. He may have had the title and the crown, but like an absent king, everybody knows where the real power lies. In the people.” Rage boiled in your veins.  “Dean and Seth are some of the best here. They just don’t grovel at your feet like you’d like them too.” The word hung in the air, freezing over under Hunter’s scrutiny.
Stephanie stepped closer. “No matter how many times you use that argument, Y/N, it’s not going to change anything. Now. Seth. Dean. The contract?”
You jumped as Dean placed his hand on your shoulder.
“It’s okay, Y/N,” he whispered.
“Please,” you shook your head, mic at your side, “don’t do this. It’s a trap. Please, no.” Your shoulders slumped as he kissed the top of your head and took the contract out of your hands.
Hunter smirked as Dean twiddled with the pen. Dean looked back, asking Seth if he was in it too. Seth accepted the pen as his answer, signing after looking at Dean’s signature. You covered your face and rubbed your temples, missing any silent conversation they exchanged. Seth handed the contract back to Hunter to finalize.
“See,” Hunter said, signing blindly, “that wasn’t so hard.” He took Stephanie by the arm and gave you the contract on their way out of the ring. You glanced at the signatures, resigned to hate that you had just-
Wait.
You looked up at Dean, who was smirking. Seth too.
“Mr. Helmsley?” Your voice caught in your throat for a second. “Are you sure you want this contract to go through?” Hunter stared you down as you fought not smiling. “You see…um. You signed the wrong line. You signed as one of the competitors.” A laugh escaped you. This had just gotten interesting. “As this contract states,” you flipped back a page, “any wrestler who competes under this contract and loses must leave the World Wrestling Entertainment company forever. If you beat Seth, who signed in the right place, Brock would have to leave and you…” you shrugged. “The lawyers could read through this and double check how much of this would apply to you, but at the base understanding, you would not be able to wrestle again. No more WrestleMania moments, no more inserting yourself into matches. And, at the worst, you would also have to leave the administration.”
Behind your smile, it felt like your whole being was glowing. You held the folder out to him.
“I may make the matches, but you still outrank me. You can dissolve this contract.”
Hunter snatched the folder away and looked closely at the signature and the clause he added. He pulled it out of the folder, flipping through and scanning for any way out. The crowd was deathly silent as he considered all angles.
They went wild as he tore the contract in half.
“We’re not done, Y/N,” he said, pointing at you.
“I understand, sir.” The threat could not defeat the proud smile on your face. Or the matching ones on Dean and Seth. Dean picked you up and spun you around once they were gone. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to get you into this mess.”
He ruffled your hair, despite your protest. “What else is family for?” He lightly tapped his fist against your cheek. “Can I get a match next week?”
“Against whom and how many?”

Star Spangled Daughter- Chapter One
A/N: This is a request from the lovely @inlovewithmiddleagedcelebs and as soon as she asked me to write it, I was in love with this idea!! It’s definitely going to be a bit of a confusing chapter since I had to set up an entirely different plot and world, with original characters, but if you stick it out, I promise, it’s gonna be good!
Tumblr media
Also P.S: I know that “Autograph Seeker” in TFA is technically the same actress as Starlord’s mom, but we’re ignoring that and just making her a character. Too complicated. WAAAY too complicated.
Words: 2,220
Steve finished signing a little boy's comic, fighting his way down the stairs through the throng of people. The sound of voices mixing filled the air, clouding his brain with noise and distractions, until she walked up. Her blonde curls bounced, and her smile brightened the air around him as she held out her book for him to sign.
The air around him seemed to still as he looked, really looked at her face. Her blue eyes met his own, and almost as if somebody else (probably Bucky) possessed his body, he found himself asking her out. Dancing, specifically. That night, at a bar downtown. She accepted with a blush and wrote down the address and time to meet, before she disappeared into the crowd with a timid wave.
Steve had to fight, really fight, against Brandt to convince him to let him leave that night. He used some lame excuse, like "Captain America needs to be seen by the public" or something of the sort. Once again, he had to fight through the crowds to find that mystery girl.
Once he reached the lit up bar with festive music coming from inside, he scanned the people millilng around outside, looking for that shiny blonde hair he couldn't take his mind off of. Then, he felt a small tap on his arm and he, once again, found himself staring into those blue eyes.
She smiled at him. He smiled back. "So. You clearly know who I am, but I don't know who you are. Care to tell me a little about yourself?" She laughed, a soft, happy sound and replied.
"My name's Judith, but my friends call me Judy. And I know you're technically 'Captain America' but that seems a little bit too formal for a night of dancing." A joke shone in her eyes and Steve relaxed, just a tad. "You can call me Steve."
The night flew by in a blur of dancing, talking, laughing, and drinking. Judith's eyes sparkled when she walked home with him, stopping in front of a small apartment building and shyly twisting her hair around her finger as she stood on her tiptoes to give him a goodnight kiss on the cheek before turning on her heel and opening the door.
Steve recovered from the shock of that kiss and found his voice. "Maybe we could-uh, maybe we could do this again sometime." Judy smiled. "I'd like that. I'd like that a lot."
Her face danced in his dreams that night, replaying her smile over and over. Steve's thoughts were reeling. I could get used to this.
One month and three days. That's all the time Steve had with Judy – because after those days and weeks passed, he was on the move. Senator Brandt had wanted to stay longer once he saw how much happier Steve was in this particular area. He went out more, smiled more, and always had his eyes on a single, fixed spot in the crowd.
Before they left, Steve and Judith had their final goodbye – at least until the war ended and Steve could come back. Judy had given him a... special gift before he left, one that was on his mind for a fairly long time. Steve's last thought before hitting the water was of her. It was always of her.
"Come on, push! You can do it, baby, you just gotta give a few more good pushes!" Judy screamed as the nurse repeated the same words she had been shouting for a good few hours. Finally, the pressure released and she heard a beautiful sound – her child, Steve's child, crying.
"Congratulations, mama. She's precious." Tears streamed down Judy's face as she held her new baby, wishing Steve could be here with her. "Your daddy would have loved you so much, sweetheart. He would be here if he could, I just know it."
The next few weeks were the hardest ones Judy had ever been through. She had yet to tell her parents that she was even pregnant, given the fact that she wasn't married and that the father, the love of her life, was dead. She had a certain sense of pride, though – her daughter, Stella, would grow up knowing that her dad saved the world.
Three weeks after Stella was born, their little world was torn apart. HYDRA had found out about Steve's little love affair with Judith and checked hospital records, discovering that Captain America had a daughter.
Judith was awakened by a shrill scream coming from Stella's little room across the hall and she shot out of bed, wrapping her robe around her as she darted towards the door. She stopped short when she saw a short man wearing round glasses, sporting a lab coat, hovering over her baby's crib. His accent filled her ears. She barely registered his words as he began to speak, lifting her daughter's writhing body out of the bed.
"We cannot risk losing any trace of the serum. Perhaps your baby could be of use to our experimentations. I am so terribly sorry about this, but luckily, you will be too dead to remember ever seeing us."
Judith screamed as he handed Stella to a strange man holding a gun, but it was cut short as a gunshot rang out through the apartment.
Years passed. HYDRA assigned a low-ranking female scientist to raise Stella. As soon as she was able to walk and talk, they killed her caretaker and started the experiments and procedures.
She was too little to understand what was going on, and why it hurt so bad, but she did know that these people did not love her. They acted like they did, but the things they did didn't show that.
Experiment after experiment failed, until Zola decided that he wanted to try the serum on her. Since she was Captain America's daughter, it was already in her blood, so they knew it was compatible with her system. So, they tried it. Small doses at first, until she was up to the same dosage that Steve had received. She almost died, but her genetics saved her. She became super-humanly strong, but they didn't stop there.
More and more experiments were undertaken inside her. Zola knew that it wasn't enough to just have another super-soldier. He wanted somebody enhanced. Finally, he knew they had succeeded when she reached her hands out to ask them to stop and instead, flames burst out of her hands and engulfed the room. When the smoke cleared, she was completely unharmed, but her hands this time were covered in ice.
After tests, studies, and more experiments, they discovered that she could manipulate extreme heat or cold and create fire and ice without straining a single muscle. She was trained, taught to fight like the Winter Soldier, and when she had control over her powers, Zola decided what to do with her.
His first decision? Wipe her memories. "She cannot remember what we did to her in order to make her the way she is. Turn her into a compliant Asset."
His next decision was a scarier one. She was to be put into cryofreeze. One brave scientist spoke up. "But, sir, she's barely 15. Her body might not be able to handle it-" He was interrupted by Zola. "Dear sir, the serum will protect her." He clears his throat, caressing the face of the now unconscious and drugged girl.
"Someday, we may need her. She will be a great help to HYDRA's true, final plan." Zola laughed, and on her cryochamber, inscribed the name "Ignatia."
"Hey Steve, we got signs of life coming from...the warehouse, I think?" Tony's voice crackled over the comms. Steve's reply came through, only slightly interrupted by the sound of someone getting a giant metal frisbee thrown into their sternum.
"Buck, you and Wanda go check that out. Nat and I will clear out the rest of the floors."
Bucky lifts his gun, slowly walking down the hall to the set of doors leading to the storage warehouse of HYDRA's last known facility. Red tendrils floated out from Wanda's hands, crushing the locking mechanism. Bucky meets her eyes, and she nods. He counts down from three, kicks the door open, and is greeted with a mostly empty warehouse full of boxes and shelves.
"Stark, you said there were signs of life in here. Where were they radiating from? There's nobody here." Tony cursed and the sound of his repulsors firing filled everybody's earpieces before he shouted his response. "Back left corner, pinned in between two shelves, it looks like."
Bucky jerks his head at Wanda and she takes the lead, followed closely by Bucky holding his rifle in front of the both of them. He stops her with a hand on her shoulder and steps in front of her, throwing the shelf to the side.
His heart drops into his stomach when he sees what was hiding back here. A cryochamber.
Once they manage to get the cryochamber onto the Quinjet, the team gathered around it. Somebody had wiped the frost away and they were all shocked into silence when they were greeted with the sleeping face of a teenager, no more than 16 or so years old. Tony was the first to speak. "Who would do this to a kid?" Steve simply nodded, stunned and unable to speak. He felt drawn to this girl- she reminded him of...Judith. "Oh- oh my gosh, Tony, she looks exactly like..." He couldn't finish the sentence, but Natasha finished it for him.
"She looks exactly like you, Steve."
The ride back to the compound was dead silent. Steve stayed firmly by the chamber, a hand on the glass, constantly watching over this strange girl. Bucky was next to him, worried and waiting for a reaction of some sort. The rest of the team just sat quietly, staring at Steve and wondering who this could possibly be.
As soon as the jet landed, everybody helped push the chamber into the compound. "Take it to my lab, I bet we can figure out a way to safely defrost her there," Tony piped up from the back. "FRIDAY, any idea how we can get her out of this thing?" FRIDAY responded and they had a rapid-fire conversation before they reached Tony's lab.
It was a long procedure, but once she was defrosted, they moved her to the medbay, strapping her down in a bed and waiting for her to wake up.
The night passed with Steve by her bedside the whole time, anxiously staring at her, waiting for Tony to come back with the DNA test results he'd sent for when he took a blood sample. The team rotated in and out, hoping that she would wake up simply confused instead of being a HYDRA murder machine.
Steve almost missed it when her head shifted and a soft groan left her lips. "Tony, Tony get in here!" He stood up quickly, almost knocking his chair over as he did so. Tony and the rest of the team burst through the door. "Um, Steve, you're gonna want to see this- er, I guess hear this." Tony's worried voice cuts through the chatter in the air. He grabs Steve's arm and yanks him out of the room. "I don't really know how to tell you this..." He throws his arms in the air.
"Congratulations, Captain America. It's a girl!"
Steve's head spun. How in the name of all that is holy did Judith not tell me that she was pregnant? I have a kid? A daughter? Here? He couldn't breathe. His chest felt like it was collapsing. Tony's voice echoed through his ears. "Cap, her name's Stella. Stella Sloane. Stella Sloane-Rogers, if you will. Steve? Are you okay?"
Inside the room, Wanda and Natasha were quietly asking the girl questions. "How are you feeling, sweetie? Do you know where you are?" Her voice was shaky and quiet, but she replied all the same. "I don't know. I don't know. Who are you people?"
Steve finally got the nerve up to walk into the room. "Hey, kiddo. Can I talk to you for a minute?" Everyone in the room exchanged looks and slowly backed out. Steve sat on the edge of her bed, gently unstrapping the bands around her wrists. She looked at him strangely, but thanked him all the same. He dismissed it with a nod, wringing his hands together. "I don't know how to tell you everything I need to, but here's the first thing you should know. Your name is Stella Sloane."
Her blue eyes met his as she repeated it. "Stella. I like that." He laughed bitterly, blinking away sudden tears. She looked so much like Judy, so much like her. He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't feel the small hand on his own. "Are you okay?" He exhaled. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. Stella, I have to tell you a few things and hearing them is going to come as a shock. Are you ready?" Her unsure smile met his and she nodded.
"First of all, you have been asleep for a very long time. Since 1958. It's- it's been 60 years, sweetheart. It's 2018." Her breath caught in her throat, and then he delivered the real kicker.
"Stella, I'm your dad. My name's Steve Rogers."

My Reaction to “Gotham” S4E3
*slamming my hands on my laptop repeatedly while trying to comfort a sulky dog*  LOOOOOOAAAADDDDD!!
AN:  I managed to record my reactions to this episode and hopefully I can transcribe what I said into this post.
So Jim’s gonna go see Falcone?  That’s gonna go well.
Wait, we’re gonna see Lee again?  When are we gonna see Lee again?
“I am Ra’s al Ghul.”  Good to know!
We’re gonna see Bruce leap around in this Proto-Batsuit?
The jacket still needs a little work... but it looks nice
Whoa...
What is this battlefield?
What is going on?
[Arabia 125 AD]  *gasps*  OK, this is definitely gonna be a Ra’s al Ghul episode
Whoa!
*claps with each word*  Seriously, what is going on?
Is that Ra’s?
What....
*slips into horrible Cockney accent*....is going oooooon....
Whoa, OK, so the Lazarus Pit was around before Ra’s came around?
...Kaaaaayyyy...
“I [Ra’s] was no more.”  “And now you live.”  Great!  Good to know!
Even Ra’s looks like he has no clue what’s freaking going on...
“[Ra’s] You must find your heir, as I found you.”  The heir to what?
Oh that’s a cool shot [of Ra’s hand grabbing the knife]
Wait, isn’t that the same knife that Bruce and Barbara kill him with in the S4 finale?
AN:  Yes
What’s going on, guys?
GUUUUYYYYSSSSS....
*scats the opening theme*
[Shot of the moon over Gotham City]  *sing songs*  Hello moon!
Not sure how I feel about the mask... you gotta put ears on it!
I really want Bruce to try this dramatic Batman entrance and he just ends up pratfalling in.
Think like Bruce in “Thor Ragnarok.”  It’s just *makes splat noise with mouth and slaps hand*
Yeah, how did Alfred make Bruce’s mask?  That’s my question.
Whoa...
Mysterious hooded figure in Gotham...
*slaps hand on desk with each word*  That’s not weird at all!  This is Gotham.
Alfred:  Bruce, walk away.
Bruce:  Naaahh!
“Now walk away.”  *starts singing "Walk Away” from High School Musical 3*
Alfred’s like “God dammit, Masta Bruce!”
Oh it’s Selina!
What’s Selina doing at the docks?
*Bruce fights his way through a barrage of machine gun fire*  Whooooooooo.... oooohhh!!!
Yeah, that’s Selina.  Honey, what are you doing?!?
Oooohhh, I don’t know what that city is but it looks nice.
*ends up singing “Despacito” for no god damn reason*
AN:  It’s Miami.  They just did some crazy coloring to make everything look warmer.
Oh that shot of the horse’s eye though!
This show has some really nice cinematography.
Oh hello Sofia!
I thought Sofia in the comics was- well, when I first saw in in “The Long Halloween”- like really tall and broad.  Well that was the way Tim Sale here so...
Hello, Falcone!  How are you enjoying retirement?
“Carmine.”  Bitch!
I cannot believe Jim has the freaking balls to go visit Falcone when he murdered his son last season!
Oh my God, I would want to steal Falcone’s retirement home right now!  It looks so nice!
Wait, doesn’t Sofia get freaking shot in the head later this season?  And she somehow survives?  Like, what’s going on with that?
AN:  Yes.
“Who’s this?”  Oh yeah, this is James Gordon.  He killed your [Sofia’s] brother.
How is this whole scene not seeping in awkward?
She [Sofia] should be livid with rage!  The dude killed her brother!
“I’m [Falcone] dying.  Doctors don’t know why.  Maybe old age.  Karma.  They seem to think the air is better down here for me, give me more time.”  So is Sofia gonna in his place or what?  How does Sofia end up in Gotham?
“I [Bruce] let my guard down, Alfred.  It wouldn’t happen again.”  *coughs in hilarity*  Five minutes later.
“Oh, no, where do you [Bruce] think you’re going?”  “To the docks.”  Oh my freaking God, Bruce.
*Barbara shows off one of her guns to a potential buyer*  Whoa...
Yeah, Barbara, get rid of the haircut.  Now!
Oh my gosh, Oswald, what’s with your hair?  Is that a hair extension?  If so, you’re going a little bit too far, buddy.
Who... is this...
Whaat...
*cracks up when Oswald finds the Ed-sicle missing and starts screaming*
“THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING!!!!!”  “I [Victor] don’t know.  Kinda opens up the room.”  HAHAHAhahaha
“I [Oswald] want Ed back here today!”  Attachment issues, much?
Who is that [Ed’s kidnapper/rescuer]?
*Ed finds a bunch of fan clippings on the wall next to him*  Oh oh OOOOHHH...
“I [Myrtle] could say I’m your number one fan.”  That’s just creepy.
Ed just looks so done with Myrtle, oh my God.
“How long was I [Ed] on ice?”  “Five months.”  Whoa!
“With me [Myrtle] as your sidekick, of course.  Doesn’t that sound wonderful, my love?”  That does not sound wonderful.  Stop calling him love!
*Bruce goes in disguise as a street kid on the docks*  Oh my gosh, Bruce...
How does no one recognize that that is Bruce Wayne?!?
Bruce, what are you doing...
Yeah, Bruce needs to voice on the voices a little bit.  He’s getting there!
“It’s clear that this isn’t about profit, but about your [Barbara’s] mysterious benefactor.  He is your client, is he not?”  Yeah, it has to be Ra’s.  She’s working for Ra’s.
Why does Oswald want the knife?  What interest does he have in the knife?
*imitates Bruce’s pronounciation of “Ra’s”*
Here’s my question:  if that is the only weapon that can kill Ra’s, then how did he let it get out of his possession, after all this time?  Seriously.
Likin’ the totally non-conspicous sunglasses Jim has...
Oh my gosh, she’s [Sofia] tall.
“To my dad.”  And to my brother, whom you [Jim] murdered.
*laughing*  How is no one bringing up the fact that Jim killed Mario?
“He [Mario] was infected with the virus.  [Jim] You did what you had to do.”  Oh, so it’s just like that then?  OK.
Here’s my question:  how did Myrtle get access to the lounge?
*Myrtle shows off her homage dress*  Oh it’s a cute dress!
Dude, you [Ed] were stuck in ice for five months.  Yeah, you definitely need time to recover.
What is that?
“What’s black and white and red all over?”  Newspaper.
*gets confused when Ed gets the answer wrong*
“I have a face and two hands, but no arms or legs.”  Clock.
Oh that sky looks awesome!
They’re [Jim and Sofia] walking barefoot on the beach together... and I don’t know how to feel about them as a couple!
Oh... oh...oh...
*Sofia kisses Jim*   Ooooooooooooohhhhh maann...
Oh my gosh, he’s [Bruce] wearing a black bow tie!
“Play the role that you [Bruce] were born to play.”  “You mean behave like a spoiled brat?”  Yes.
“Bruce Wayne, billionaire brat.”  *claps hands*  Let’s go.
This version of Bruce Wayne is awesome.  I’d definitely rank him up there with Kevin Conroy and Ben Affleck.  I think it’s mainly because we see Bruce Wayne in this show become Batman rather than in most stuff, where that transition has already happened.  Here, they focus on him as a kid, and it seems way more natural.
*absolutely loses it when Brat!Bruce tries high fiving Alfred, who almost considers it*
“I’m gonna put it in my... my bathroom!”  HAHAHAHAHAHA
“Technically, you [Bruce] are the richest man in the room, but let's not try and buy absolutely everything, shall we?”  “True, but if I only bid on the knife everyone's been trying to steal from Penguin, it might draw his suspicion. If I go on a spending spree, recklessly throwing my money around, he won't think twice.”  ...Yeah... I mean...
Bruce look so smug that he’s figured out this billionaire brat persona.  Four for you, buddy!
“Barbara Kean.  I [Bruce] thought she died.”  “Unfortunately, nobody stays dead in this town.”  True!
Whoa...
*smiles when Bruce tries outbidding Barbara by one dollar for the knife*
“300 thousand dollars... and one cent!”  OH HO HO HOOOO!!!
Oh my God!
*cracks up when Bruce smugly thanks Barbara*
You notice that when Oswald started warning him about Barbara, Bruce’s persona just dropped.  He’s like “OK.  Game time.”
“What’s red and green and goes round and round.”  Frog in a blender.
“The answer, obviously, isn’t ‘newspaper.’”  *gives Ed a confused look*
*gasps when Ed knocks out Myrtle with the riddle book*
“Frog in a blender!”  What the heck kind of riddle is that?  Why is that in a kids’ book?
Here’s my question:  why doesn’t Bruce tell Selina about this whole shindig with Ra’s al Ghul?  Seriously.
Wait a minute, doesn’t Ra’s die for this like first time early this season?
Yeah, ‘cause they bring him back in episode 19 but then he dies again in the season finale, so it’s like “Umm.... what?”
Jiiiiiiimmm!
Harper!
Sofia!
Wait, so how old is Sofia?  She said she moved down when she was 13, so she has to be 23 or something right?  Like five years or so younger than Gordon, at least?
“We [Sofia and Jim] can do great things together, you and I.  I’ll be in touch.” That sounds... very bad!
*snorts in hilarity when Victor answers the frog in a blender riddle correctly*
Oh my gosh, I like Oswald’s blue gloves
Where the heck did Ed go?
Eeeeeeeeeeddd, where are you goingggggggg....
[Welcome to the Iceberg Lounge]  *imitating Penguin*  I froze my crush because he did not like me!
Nice.
Whoa...
OK, that has to be Ra’s, right?
He’s gonna be like “Yeah, uh, hey Barbara?  Where’s the knife?“
Barbara:  Ummm, let see, there’s a funny story about that... I didn’t get it...
Awkward...
“That knife is the key to everything.”  It’s the key to killing him!
*makes extremely loud disgusted noise when Barbara proceeds to make out with Ra’s*
NO!
Ohhh, no, I did not like that at all!  Noo!

college! jinwoo au
sokay jinwoo is s u p e r well known on campus because he's essentially the guy that’s always fun to be around and exudes confidence
he’s studying linguistics bc he’s fascinated with languages but also he just loves to talk and everyones always making jokes about how he’s so good with languages because he loves the sound of his own voice so much that he never shuts up
he also works at the campus radio station bc he just loves music so much!! AND he’s worked his way up to being a host so getting to play music & talk is basically the dream for him
everyone always tunes in during the hours that jinwoos hosting bc his taste in music is honestly amazing and he has the best radio voice and it makes everything he says sound interesting
you also listen to his show bc he honestly has never played a song you didn’t either already love or instantly fall in love with
but also you’re really beginning to hate this boy because the only reason you actually know him is because he lives right above you in the dorms
and he hosts the L O U D E S T parties that always happen to go till 4 am
usually you and your roommate fight over who has to go up and ask them to quiet down but tonight your roommate is out with some friends and its already 2 am you’re just laying in bed listening to the nonstop thudding sounds coming from above you & ur almost about to die because you have a 7:30 class tmrw
finally you force yourself out of bed and and into the hallway toward jinwoo’s room and you're so tired you're basically already half asleep
when you knock on the door and jinwoo comes out to see sleepy you in an oversized sweatshirt and leggings trying to form a coherent sentence ( it came out more like “the sound.. .too much.. please. stop.. the sound… theres a lot of it”) he can’t help but think you’re about the cutest thing he’s ever seen
and maybe if your eyes weren’t half closed and you weren’t entirely annoyed with the boy, you would’ve also thought he looked cute in his skinny jeans, t-shirt that was just a little bit too big, and perfectly messed up hair
but right now you're pretty much only focused on keeping yourself from completely collapsing in his door way
he feels really bad because you look like you're about to pass out but then his party has expanded to basically the whole floor and he’s lost the ability to control the noise level
he  looks around for a few seconds and without saying anything goes to try to shuffle people into rooms and closing the doors in attempt to quiet things down a little
in the meanwhile you're still standing there in the door way wondering if you should go back now but for some reason your feet aren't moving and wow the floor looks really comfortable right now
but then before you can go to ur final resting place on the floor, jinwoo is back in front of you and he notices that you're like not stable so he puts his hands on your shoulders to try and hold you up and he's like “sorry about everyone. i don’t know if i can do much more about the noise, but i hope that helped a little bit???... also are you okay???”
and no ur obviously not okay bc all you've wanted for the past 3 hrs is to go to bed but everything like 20x quieter now and its so peaceful so you just offer a sleepy smile and nod and turn around to head back toward ur room and ur bed
but then suddenly someones linked their arm with yours and its jin jin trying to be cute and gentlemanly and walk u back to ur room but mostly he's like 90% sure ur gonna collapse in the hall on the way back
ur initial reaction is !! heLLO STRANGER DANGER?? you've only talked to this boy like twice ??? and u sort of tug ur arm away
but jin jin reacts really quickly and like gently pulls u back and he's like “you look like you could use the help. c’mon-“
but even half asleep u does not want the pity of a random cute boy who throws loud parties and disturbs ur sleep so u slightly perk up and are like “ what’s that supposed to mean? are U trying to say I look BAD?”
and jin jin is kind of flustered and taken aback but immediately recovers bc pls this is park jinwoo
“actually i think you look pretty cute and id rather not wake up tomorrow morning to find that you tripped down the stairs to your death while going back to your room because you were too tired.”
so ur like annoyed but ur also like ,,,, fine, maybe i do need someone to make sure i don't die before i get back to my room and also you're kinda leaning into him while u guys are walking and its really nice not having to carry ur own weight
when u guys get to ur door jin jin leans against the frame as ur unlocking it and before u go in he decides to throw away any shred of pride he has and goes for the literally cheesiest line bc he’s never seen anyone look as cute as you do right now
“so, what about a good night kiss?”
u look up to see the brightest smile u have ever?? seen?? like how is he glowing right now but also ur like “did u really just say that”
and u see him get kinda embarrased and ur like woW IS PARK JINWOO THE GOLDEN BOY OF THE SCHOOL ACTUALLY BLUSHING RIGHT NOW??
he’s not really use to rejection bc he hasn't really met a girl he would put himself out there for (but lets be real even if he had, no one would've rejected him what are u doing??)
so he just looks down at the floor and puts his hand on his neck like “ha h a, , yeah, probably shouldn’t have”
but he looks really cute all flustered and you dunno why, tho its probabbly bc ur so tired that u don't actually know if any of this is really happening, but u give him a peck on the cheek and a quick good night before u go inside to ur sweet, sweet bed
n jin jin is just standing outside of ur room, stunned bc WOW ur an angel did that really just happen to him
by the time he gets back to his floor, the partying has pretty much died down to nothing since he really killed the mood when he started pushing people into their rooms for your sake
so he just goes to his room and his roommate mj is laying in bed on his phone (super calm for a change) and jin jin all but jumps on him like “you wouLD NOT BELIEVE WHAT JUST HAPPENED”
and ofc mj immediately is as awake as ever dying to know what
after telling mj every detail he basically goes to bed thinking about u being cute whereas youve been knocked out for the past 20 minutes without so much as a thought about it
the next day you’re up by 7 bc u want to get some food and coffee before class so you hit up a cafe on the way to the lecture hall and order your food and sit down at one of the tables to wait
you're running on about 4 hrs of sleep right now so you're not exactly at your prime and you're leaning on your arm while scrolling through your instagram when suddenly your hair is being ruffled and you hear “morning sleepyhead!”
you look up to see jin jin smiling his goofy smile and you’re like “okay firstly, never touch my hair ever again. secondly, why on earth are u up so early, u probably went to bed like … an hour ago”
so he’s like telling u about how he’s helping out around the studio during the morning radio show today and you guys start talking about his radio show and he finds out you listen and it makes him feel all warm and happy for some reason
and you guys start talking about music and you guys have pretty much the same taste and he slips in that he’s been working on some music with his roommate and a few friends and he just gets so excited talking about it
when he can tell that you’re genuinely interested and you ask him questions about their group (which he says is called astro) you can literally see his eyes lighting up and you’re losing track of time bc this is honestly one of the nicest conversations you've had in a long time with one of the nicest boys like, ever
but then u get a notification and see the time on your phone and it’s freaking 745!!!  ur already 15 min late to class and you're still like 10 min away from the hall so you grab your things and are like
“shoot im sorry i totally forgot about the time im late to my lecture”
and while you're cleaning up you just keep rambling about how you're screwed bc the class isn't recorded or anything and you don't know anyone you can get notes from and you had like 4 hours of sleep yesterday (which u remind him is his fault) and oh my goodness why is everything bad happening to you
and jin jins just sitting and sipping his coffee looking at you with most amused look on his face and you're still all flustered from being late and u go to throw ur trash away and
when ur back jin jin has ur book bag over his shoulder and his hands are in his pocket as if this is like a normal thing that u do everyday and ur just like ?? are u robbing me? give me my bag and hes like
“no, cmon i’m walking you to class”
and u don't have time to fight it and really you don't mind at all so you just head out the door toward your hall when u remember that he has to go to work and then u forget that you're totally late for class bc now you're worried for him being late for work and u try to grab ur bag from him and are like “o  my goSH JINWOO ur gonna be LATE for WORK”
but he completely ignores u and just keeps on walking and ur like ARE U LISTENING and he finally turns around and is just like
“i can afford to be a little late, they wont miss me. plus i’d much rather be with you”
and ofc be freaking winks at u and ur like oh my goodness that was cute but u just roll ur eyes and are like “okay fine, but don’t get used to walking me to places”
and u suddenly remember last nights events very clearly ending with u kissing him on the cheek and u get embarrassed
and it only gets worse when he's like “why? i thought i was pretty good at it, especially after the kiss you gave me for it last night. i was getting ready to transfer majors to physical education so i could work on my stamina and walk you to even further places. it was supposed to be our tradition, walking places. man it was gonna be good”
and ur annoyed bc you've never met someone so irritating yet likable. how does that even work? i dk, but park jinwoo does
when u guys get to ur lecture hall ur suddenly not in a rush at all to go inside bc as much as u hate to admit it to urself, you’d much rather hang out with jin jin
so now ur just standing face to face and he’s looking at you smiling his angelic smile and now its ur turn to contemplate what to do before you leave
and u just wrinkle ur nose before finally deciding to give him a quick peck on the cheek again and then ur just like “maybe that can be part of the tradition”
before he can say anything you've already grabbed ur bag and run into the hall and left him smiling like an idiot
when he gets to work he's still so happy and he’s in a good mood everyday but today it’s just like, intensified all his coworkers can tell he's happier than usual and they’re just like “had a good morning jin jin?” and he's like “GREAT MORNING”
meanwhile ur sitting in class like omg did i actually just do that? also why?
and then like 20 minutes later ur like okay i like park jinwoo
after you get out of class you head back to your dorm to work on some essays for a couple of hours and you see that it’s around the time that jin jin is hosting so you tune in
and after the song that’s playing ends you hear jin jin’s voice and he’s talking about his theory on how toy story and finding nemo are connected and all u can do is roll ur eyes and laugh
but then u hear him go “you should be out of class by now, so i hope you're listening. this next songs for you sleepyhead”
u can hardly believe u just heard him say that and find u urself blushing & even more so when u realize the song that’s playing is pretty u by seventeen
right as you hear the last lines of the song “does she love me, does she love me not…” you get a text from jin jin
“pretty cool huh? i think that deserves a thank you”
to which you reply “you want me to thank you for passive aggressively dedicating songs to me?”
he eventually gets you to agree to let him take u out for dinner and you're so amazed with how comfortable you feel around him and how easily he makes u laugh
it’s just really perfect since u guys started officially dating
