We actually had blue sky and sun today down in Devon. I am so excited it wasn't just more rain I had to share a photo I took this morning of my two little boys looking for stones and shells with their grandad. Sadly it's back to school next week, hopefully the next school holiday is drier.
This is down on Braunton Burrows in North Devon.

Early Morning Walk on Holdstone Down
Good morning from Holdstone Down. The beauty and solitude of Exmoor is breathtaking this morning, solo hike, heading west on the coast path.

I am excessively fond of this cottage. There is no wi-fi, and the plumbing is dodgy, and the beams are so low that even I hit my head on multiple occasions. But just look at it.

Instow Evening Light
A walk along Instow beach after sunset
I didn’t quite make it in time to see the setting sun but the afterglow was very pretty and the walk very peaceful.
Yacht at dusk, Appledore in the background
The beach is very popular with dog walkers
Family on the beach, I tried black and white for this to remove the distraction of the sunset colours
