It’s perfect for the blue hour when light levels can still be a little too high for ultra slow shutter speeds. In photography, it allows you to get your shutter speeds down to nice, slow levels, ideal for ethereal looking water or clouds. As mentioned, the more light stopping you try to squeeze into a filter, the more chance there is for image issues.įor both photography and video creation, 3-6 stops is an ideal range. This is from 3 to 6 stops and in fact is not a bad thing.
#Motion pro tools pro#
The Motion Pro Variable ND, has a relatively limited stop range. By J ason Row Photography The Motion Pro Specs and Build Quality. So how does the Sandmarc stack up in this? Uncorrected Raw images without (top) and with (bottom) Sandmarc Pro Motion. This often manifests itself in banding in the sky, particularly when using wide angle lenses. Some variable ND filters can block out anywhere between 1 and 10 stops however, like with many things, the more filtration you try to add in, the greater the chance for color shift and image degradation. As you do so, the filter becomes darker by a variable degree. You twist the front element of the filter in much the same way as a polariser. The shutter speed needs to be locked to the 180 degree rule, and changing apertures between shots can change the way your footage looks.Ī variable neutral does exactly what its name suggests. The reason for this, is that in video you are constantly trying to maintain an exact shutter speed and aperture. That’s not a huge issue as a photographer, but it can be if you are shooting video. They cut the light by one, two, three, six or ten stops. If you have ever used traditional neutral density filters, you will know they are incredibly precise. By Jason Row Photography Why Do I Need A Variable ND?
#Motion pro tools free#
Sandmarc have provided this filter cost free for this review. So what is this mystery item? It’s a variable ND filter, the Motion Pro, to be precise.Īs with all our reviews, we do not allow the manufacturer to see the article before publication and they do not have any say in what we write. In fact it is a rare piece of kit that should appeal to anyone who shoots stills or video using a CSC or DSLR Camera. However, the latest piece of kit that has dropped through the letterbox, has a much wider appeal than smartphone photographers. They have sent us a few items to review, predominately for smartphone photography. We like Sandmarc stuff here at Light Stalking.

Imagine my shock when I am sitting on the couch next to my son, who is playing on his VR, when out of nowhere, I hear a familiar voice! One quick google search later and I confirm, yes, that is indeed Wil Wheaton voicing the charming actor/villain my son was going against while playing I Expect You To Die 2! After a short geek-out session with him (we often talk about/gush when we hear familiar and favorite voices in our shows and games), my son says ‘He sounds like a really good voice actor.’ So know that your performance has gained the approval of at least one media-entrenched 12 year old. Thanks for making our day a little brighter.
AHHHH! I love that character, and I had the BEST TIME recording it. We did it during the lockdown, so I built a little booth in my bedroom (the only room in the house with carpet), and they sent me a microphone that costs more than my car, all the gear to set it up, and a laptop with Pro Tools.
I set it all up, and their engineer VPN'd into the laptop to run the session on the computer that was sitting at the foot of my bed. I had a zoom connection somehow, I think on my laptop that was sitting on the dresser, and Kris Brown, my favorite video game director of all time, directed me through it all in one session.
I still haven't played it (VR makes me violently motion sick) but I've only ever gotten positive feedback. Please tell your son I said thank you for letting me entertain him!

So you just got diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis....
A guide to coping with inflammatory arthritis written by someone who has been living with it for years
1. Warmth helps with pain and stiffness
Take a hot bath or shower
Use a rice bag to heat your most stiff and painful joints - How to make a warm rice bag (no sew) How to make a warm rice bag (sew) Adorable heated stuffed animals
Heating pads can also be good for heating specific joints (I don't like either of the ones I've had so I'm not dropping a recommendation)
2. Compression helps with stiffness
Compression gloves work really well in particular - Really cool compression gloves
Compression for other joints works well too
3. NSAIDs help reduce inflammation in your joints
Topical diclofenac is my personal favorite, it works wonders
Meloxicam is only available by prescription but has fewer negative side effects than over the counter NSAIDs do
Ibuprofen and Aleve/Naproxen are both OTC NSAIDs
Here's a full list of NSAIDs
4. Steroids reduce inflammation but are usually only used for flares. If OTC remedies are not working for your arthritis it may be worth asking about steroids to manage flares
5. Use adaptive devices
Note that I haven't tried all of these!
In the kitchen - Jar opener, pull tab opener, arthritis friendly silverware, ergonomic knife, another ergonomic knife
In the bathroom - My favorite shower chair, long handle bath sponge, shower grab bar
Dressing - Many button and zipper aids, magnetic jewelry clasps, sock aid
Standing assists - Bed rail, couch stand assist, cane with stand assist
Office - Pencil grips, book stand, vertical mouse
Other - Arthritis friendly gardening tools, so many grips adapters and holders
.... and many many more
6. Use mobility aids - I'd strongly recommend talking to a doctor before deciding to use mobility aids. mobility aids cause damage to your body so it's important to weigh the pros and cons of using them. Anyways my personal recommendations:
Canes - NOVA T cane, Carex ergonomic offset cane
Crutches - Millennial In-Motion Forearm crutches
Other people with inflammatory arthritis are welcome to add on!

ok nobody cares but here's my review of procreate dreams after using it for an hour
pros:
you can use all your normal brushes which is GREAT because your animation still looks like your own art
the UI isn't that difficult to navigate once you know where everything is (i don't think it's much harder than learning any other new software)
motion tweening!!!!! i just like that a lot
the fact that you can just make a fully finished animation on your ipad is very cool to me
it has that feature where you can draw outside of the canvas so your lines don't get cut off when you move things around
it's expensive for an app BUT it's a one-time purchase and not a subscription
cons:
the timeline takes up a lot of space on the screen and you can't change it (other than hiding it completely) but that's just a me problem
obviously since it's so fresh it's missing some tools like select+transform (which is VERY annoying)
tl:dr - i think it's ok!! i'll probably use other software for storyboarding because i don't think it's the best for just getting stuff down quickly but i'll definitely use it for finished projects.

Hi, are u still open for request? Cause I need season 11 Negan x reader story, well maybe some smut too 😬
[Hiii! I'm so, so sorry I haven't written sooner for your request. But here it is, set somewhere between season 10 and 11. I hope you like it.]
Summary: Negan helps out Y/N to get rid of an unwanted admirer. Surprisingly for both of them, things take an interesting turn.
Warnings: smut, dirty talk, unprotected sex
Tumblr media
"Ugh, not him again", she whispered to herself while walking the streets of Alexandria. Most people were busy repairing all the recent damages, building new homes, so she figured she would find somewhere to help. But with Robert just a few feet away from her, she wanted to disappear somewhere. Robert was fairly new to the community, he joined Alexandria a few months ago. He seemed to be a nice guy, Y/N thought at first, though he had tried several times to hit on her unsuccessfully and seemed to not accept a simple no. She was frustrated to say the least. He hadn't harassed her in any other way, although he was persistent to ask her out and she wasn't in the mood to test his patience, so she avoided him as best as she could.
But now her luck seemed to thin out. With no other option nearby, she made quick steps towards the little shack where all the tools were stored. Just as she closed the door behind her, Y/N registered she wasn't alone.
"Well, well, hello Y/N."
Negan's deep voice shook her to the core, she wasn't expecting him to be in here.
"Hi", she stammered, half-whispering.
"Are you hiding or something?" Negan asked amused.
"Matter-of-factly I am. Now could you please lower your voice?", she whispered back.
Negan smiled at her, carefully putting down the hammer onto the shelf next to him. With his arms crossed in front of his body, he looked at her.
"So, whom are we hiding from?" he whispered back.
Even if Negan wasn't a favorite among the Alexandrian people, she kind of liked him. He was hard-working and despite his past, he was friendly towards her, so she figured she could tell him. "Robert, the new one. He asked me out a couple of times, I'm not interested and he knows. Though he always keeps on pressuring me into spending time with him. I just don't want to see him", Y/N explained in a low voice, leaning against the work bench behind her, a few steps opposite from Negan.
His face turned serious for a brief second, then they could hear footsteps in front of the shack, coming nearer. With no windows - luckily or not - Negan took a look through one of the gaps between the wooden boards of the shack.
"It's him, isn't it? Fuck, he saw me", Y/N breathed.
Negan nodded, but smiled at her. "I have a plan. Do you trust me?"
Y/N just stared at him, calcuating her response. When she nodded curtly, Negan shamelessly began to moan in front of her - with that damn grin of his reaching from ear to ear. He wasn't even blinking when he upped his game with some dirty talk. "Baby, you feel so good around my dick."
He motioned for her with his fingers to take part in their little play pretend to make it more believable. Y/N gulped visibly, embarrassed to moan in front of Negan. That plan of his was insane.
"Don't go all shy on me now, Y/N, you weren't when you sucked my dick like a damn pro."
The footsteps seemed to have stopped a few feet away, at least none of them could hear them anymore.
She looked at him with big eyes, mouth agape. The balls he had to just do that with no shame made her body tingle. Just for one moment she imagined what it would feel to actually have him buried deep inside of her. This thought alone made her press her thighs together.
"I want to hear you", he added as another invitation for her to join the game, voice raspy.
"Negan", she finally breathed, testing the feel of his name on her tongue. She liked it - a lot. With hot cheeks she moaned lighty, followed by a richer one, her eyes drifting to the floor.
"That's it, show me how fucking good I make you feel. I don't care who hears us, let them all know you are mine."
Negan didn't sound so far away anymore and as his boots came into her view, she knew why.
Her eyes darted upwards, lips parted. She could smell him at this distance, a mix of hard work and his own unique scent.
She moaned again, this time because her body betrayed her, his presence too intoxicating to not indulge.
His gaze was fixed on her lips and as they continued their little play, the air between them shifted.
His knuckles lightly grazed her cheek before he looked from her lips up to her eyes, silently asking for permission.
There wasn't any second thought for Y/N, she nodded instantly and was greeted by his lips crashing onto hers. His body drove her farther into the work bench, his hands grasping her face to deepen the kiss.
Her hands clawed at his blue shirt while his kisses made her go insane with lust.
Without wasting anymore time, Negan's hands undid the button and fly of her jeans, hastily pulling it down together with her underwear. Y/N let out a shriek when he grasped her hips with both hands and positioned her on the bench. He then opened his own trousers to pull out his solid length.
"Haven't done this in a while, excuse the lack of foreplay, but I can't fucking wait to feel you", he explained while he traced his length through her folds.
"Damn baby, you're so wet for me. Did my dirty talk turn you on?"
"What do you think?" she quipped back, as impatient as Negan.
"That mouth on you." Negan laughed while he slowly sank into her.
Hungry kisses drowned their shared moaning at the feel of each other. Y/N hadn't done this lately either, she felt like being pulled up to heaven by the feel of his dick inside of her.
"Fuuuck me, you do feel so good around me", he complimented her while he moved in and out of her at a moderate pace.
"Is he still out there?" Y/N tried to make out the footsteps they heard before but the only thing she could hear was Negan's heavy breathing against her neck.
"The fuck do you care?" Negan hissed, not silencing the moans spilling out of his mouth. "They could all watch, we would give them a show they would never forget."
His boldness made her laugh nervously which bled into a rich moan with the first deeper thrust he delivered.
"Shit, Negan", she moaned in earnest now, clawing at his back while his thrusts got harder.
"There she fucking is", he exclaimed with a shit-eating grin. "That's how you should sound while being fucked."
One of his hands went into her hair at the nape of her neck while the finger of his other hand dug into her hip, so he could drive himself over and over again into her.
Forehead pressed against forehead, they groaned with every forceful push and pull. The work bench squeaked with their movements, everyone walking by would definitely know about what happened inside.
"Negan, I'm close..."
"Don't worry baby, I got ya", he moaned while he let go of her hip to draw tight circles on her clit.
The added pressure together with the insanely fucking he gifted her with drove her into unknown heights. She nearly screamed his name as she came, brain foggy with pleasure.
"Goddammit, Y/N", Negan groaned out loud before he pulled out and spilled onto her thighs.
They both tried to catch their breaths and laughed heartily at what they had just done.
Negan whiped her clean with a spare shirt he kept in his backpack near the door.
"Thank you", Y/N smiled at him.
"You're very welcome, baby. Here, let me help you down."
"I never want to come down from this high", she laughed, pulling her underwear up again, then her jeans.
"Well, then let me cook for you, make up for the lack of conversation and foreplay we had."
With an amused shake of her head she watched him also getting dressed again. "You can cook?"
"Of fucking course I can cook. I make a hell of a good pasta sauce. When we're not as short of supplies as we are now, I will make the most delicious dinner for you."
Y/N went on her tiptoes to kiss Negan. "Helping me out, making me come and also cooking for me? Who would've thought you're this talented?"
"Don't you ever underestimate me, baby. It's true what they say out there, I'm not a good man. But I'm very good with my hands."
With a hearty laugh, Y/N took Negan's hands into hers, inspecting them intently.
"I do believe you, I like your hands. And I would love for you to cook for me."
"Can't fucking wait." Negan kissed her knuckles, shouldered his backpack and, with a wink, went outside first.
His signature grin was plastered all over his face and he hoped he would see Robert just to rub the truth right into his face. And the faces of everyone else in Alexandria that despised him.

Some art-advice asks I've been meaning to reply to!
Tumblr media
I use Clip Studio Paint Pro, though I'm not sure what tips I could give just in general. Just experiment with new things often, draw as much as your lifestyle allows, watch how other people do their work but try to avoid "Dont do THIS thing ever" type lessons and tutorials. Use as much reference as you'd like and take your time! To this day a simple sketch can still take me several hours to do depending on what it is.
Tumblr media
Thank you so much!!! I didn't do any kind of formal art schooling but I've always been inclined towards arts and crafts, and started taking drawing semi seriously when I was about 17 (I'm 27 now). I draw a lot of inspiration from western comics and my favorite artists are jason shawn alexander and sean murphy.
Tumblr media
Oh I'm so flattered to hear my stuff's inspired you to take up drawing again, I have a bunch of little crafty hobbies but art is by far the most fulfilling one to me - largely because you're constantly learning and improving.
You're definitely onto something already, I am constantly looking at other people's art (even If it isn't a style I would want to emulate) and analyzing how the pieces come together to create the final product. In my opinion this is pretty much the best way you can go about learning besides real-life reference drawing. You can even take something into your software of choice/print it out and trace it (just to yourself, of course) to get a sense of hand-motion and line use.
As a beginner I think there's no shame at all in taking heavy inspiration from your favorite artists, as long as you aren't straight up copying things and calling them your own. Your personal style Is likely to come out naturally, with time. That's very much how I started myself!
Also, just be patient with yourself, try to have realistic goals for your skill level while simultaneously being proud of everything you do. Even if you absolutely despise a drawing, you still drew something! And even if it doesn't feel that way you most definitely learned from it. Use learning tools and tutorials to whatever point you feel comfortable with but don't get stuck on people's arbitrary rules - unless we're talking about something tangible like real-life application of traditional art tools, things like anatomy, perspective and light are to be referenced from - but It's not the goal to emulate them 100% unless you ARE going for hyperrealism. As someone who uses a ton of reference these days, I can tell you first-hand that I often find myself straying from it on purpose to make a piece look more interesting.
Lastly, draw things you enjoy! Don't let anyone else dictate what you SHOULD be doing and don't fall into the trappings of wanting to stick to one specific style, process, or subject matter.
Good luck!!!
Tumblr media
LOL thank you so much for your very evocative compliments! I haven't ever done a timelapse, not that I remember at least. I'm not sure how they work but I do so much of "I'm gonna try this thing 5 different ways and then decide what I like" that I'm not sure how comprehensive that would be LOL
I could put together a process showcase or something though, I feel like that might be better even, since I get to explain a little of what I'm doing through text and display how I use reference. Something to consider!

AI Art discourse is so hyper-priviledged from the “freelance artist” perspective that creates a ton of false ideas about how art is consumed and produced. I hear this “art without the intent of an artist behind it is meaningless” argument being so dominant and it is just laughably wrong in so many contexts. Most visual art is for-a-purpose! I do not care about the ‘intent’ of the illustrative diagram of capital stock flows in my econ textbook, or the logo for a kombucha company, or the banner image for a WSJ article. They do a job, setting tone or creating a brand or communicating information.
So much art actually does, like, no job! Those images on say finance articles, its just like...walls of text are scary? So you need to give your eyes a break? But they are fucking cowards and won’t put pics of hot anime chicks in the middle of their discussion of the carried interest loophole so they pretend by making the image ‘topical’ its adding value. That is all it does! Intent of the artist isn’t relevant in the slightest.
And that doesn’t even begin to touch the reality of making big, commercial art. if you are doing say animation in modern toolsets like Toonz they have automated in-betweening tools; you draw keyframe A, keyframe B, you need frames in between to smooth the motion, and the program draws the inbetweens for you. That is AI art! Its been used for years now. Advances in AI  will make that more powerful, you can get better results, draw less frames, etc as that improves.
In animation so much art is made that isn’t in the final product - concept sketches, early layouts, etc. These don’t exist to be ‘intent of the artist’, they are tools to guide a production process. You could absolutely use AI tools to improve the effiiency of that process, its what we *currently* do, its been the history art & technology for the last 3 decades. This kind of art is what the majority of money and time in the art world is spent on - freelance ‘online’ art is just a piece of that world.
This isn’t a statement to invalidate the whole debate or anything (or shitting on freelance artists, I love them). I tend to be ‘pro’ AI art, as much as that framing makes any sense at all (it doesn’t), but there are a ton of other aspects to this debate that are more complex. For example, we have legally decided you can’t copyright art styles, which, fine, I agree, but that does sit in tension with a company being able to legally claim IP ownership of a tool built out of those art styles. Maybe those tools should be open access, the legal regime isn’t built for this scenario - or like the entire scenario of modernity, it all sucks.
But regardless, in the complexity of this debate I think some really idealized conception of ‘art’ are being bandied about without a lot of evidence to back them up.

I have a lot of thoughts about the PROCREATE DREAMS announcement
No, ok, I gotta talk about this now because no one else in my specific tumblr bubble is and I’m actually really so so excited for this because this is an actual absolute game changer for the indie animation scene and beginner animators. So I’m gonna do what I never did before on this blog and write an actual real blog entry here.
At the 8th of September, the people behind the IOS drawing and Illustration app Procreate announced a completely new app focusing on motion design and animation. The announcement trailer and the event of the announcement can be found here:
youtube
Fellow artist that use Procreate know about the incredible advancement this app made in the illustration and design field by its insanely powerful tools yet Apple-typical simplicity. One thing this app has down to a tee is it’s intuitiveness. Even complete beginner digital artists will find their way around the app quite easily after only a few hours with it. Of course it doesn’t make you a pro artist over night but it gives you fast-to-learn tools to help you on your artistic journey without any hidden fees, account signups or AI systems needed.
Procreate Dreams follows the same approach, giving simple intuitive tools to everyone, not just industry veterans. The app has been announced to launch on the App Store on 22th of November and only cost 20$ in a one-time purchase. This may seem like a usual tech announcement but I want to clarify what this company has just done by creating this app.
If Procreate Dreams turns out to follow its predecessors footsteps in terms of simplicity, richness in features and intuitiveness (and from the looks of it, it will) and continue their user-friendly pricing model, this app will single-handedly change the indie animation scene completely.
Giving tools to everyone to a fair price for them to explore their creativity is not industry standard anymore. Procreate is currently one of the only players on the market that offers such an advanced experience for basically the price of a thrift shop T-Shirt. Everytime I tell someone new to digital art about Procreate and the one-time payment at such a low price too, they will simply not believe me. They expect hidden fees, a subscription model. It’s unthinkable to them that a professional art app would be offered to the consumer in such a way.
So please keep in mind that this is not the norm. This app will inspire a whole new generation of animators and artist and that for the low price of 20$. Even the professional animation industry will be shifted by this. This is a big deal just as the arrival of Procreate was a big deal.
A test and overview of the new and advanced features of Procreate Dreams can be found here:

Knooking FAQ!
So as one of the very, very few people who knooks, I figured I should write a little post explaining what it is, how it's done, why I knook, and where you can learn more.
Disclaimer: I do not knit traditionally! my knowledge of traditional knitting styles is entirely from various failed attempts to learn and translating tutorials for knooking!
What is knooking?
Knooking is, basically, a different way to knit. Instead of using two needles, you use a modifed crochet hook. The hook has an eye at the butt end, which you thread a cord (or some scrap yarn) through. The cord is used like one needle, holding the live stitches, while the hook is used like the other needle, working the stitches. Once you're done working that row, you pull the cord out from the finished row, slide the live stitches onto the cord, turn, and then keep going! This also means that you don't need anything special to knook in the round -- while short rows can be difficult (more on that later), you just periodically pull the cord through the stitches that are already done, and keep going.
Are there different styles of knooking?
Oh boy are there! The knooking subreddit has a good breakdown Here. The two main styles are Japanese and Western, but some folks also use an Eastern Euopean style. I learned Eastern Euorpean first, which was easier to learn but not as versatile (you can't stack knits on knits or purls on purls) and then moved to Japanese style after I got a better feel for the motions. I tried knooking Western, but I just could never get it to work for me, for some reason. I kept getting my stitches twisted.
Why haven't I heard of this before?
Well, most people don't want or need a new way to knit, which already puts knooking on the backfoot. But also, knooking was invented in Japan in the early 1990s! That means that not only is it really new, it was also difficult to find resources for it that were in English for a long time. So, it remains uncommon.
So, is it like Tunisian crochet?
Not really! Tunisian crochet has a forward pass to make the stitches and a backward pass to close them. Knooking is, fundementally, just a different way to knit. The stitches are always live. Tunisian crochet, for that reason, needs special patterns, while you can translate regular knitting patterns to work for knooking.
Why would someone knook?
Well, lots of reasons. It's sometimes easier for folks whose first fibercraft was crochet to pick up knooking than it is to learn to knit traditionally. Some crocheters use it as a stepping stone towards learning a traditional way to knit, since it can imbed intuition of how stitches are formed, but with a more familiar tool. Others just find it easier, for any number of reasons. For me, personally, knitting is really hard on my hands due to my physical disability, and it's also really hard for me to conceptualize how it works. I tried knitting a lot of different ways, and the only one that made sense to me and didn't make my wrists and fingers hurt was knooking.
What are the pros of knooking? What about the cons?
The main pro is that it's just easier for some folks. If you already know how to knit, it's probably not worth it to learn knooking. It takes specialized tools that can be hard to find, and patterns require a little bit of translation sometimes. Some specific knitting motions, like many decreases, are actually usually easier on a knook than on needles, because you can easily pull one stitch through another using the hook.
There are also cons. As I said, you do need a specific type of hook for knooking, and while some corded tunisian hooks can work if the stopper at the end is removed, if you don't own one of those already then you're gonna need to buy a knook. Luckily, Hobbii sells them, but they don't sell cords as far as I know. Also, it can really, really suck to learn. You know how crocheting into the chain is awful when you're starting out? Yeah, learning how to purl was like that. There's also not a lot of resources, especially not in english, and many of them don't specify which style of knooking they're using. Since the three main styles are fundementally non-compatible -- you can't purl japanese style and knit western, you'll twist your stitches -- it can be hard to figure out exactly what you're doing wrong. Also, short rows can be difficult, since you can't just use multiple needles, so items like socks can be annoying to knook. Though, they are entirely possible! Just annoying.
Where can I learn more?
Reddit.com/r/knooking. Hands down the best pile of resources on the topic. Start with their Start Here Page and explore from there. The community is nice and helpful, there was a whole journey of helping one person knook some socks and it was really great and wholesome. I've posted a bunch of stuff there, too. It's a great community with great resources, and I've learned basically everything I know about knooking from their wiki.

shading and lighting tutorial!
this was requested by an anon. a little before we start! i use procreate on my ipad pro with an apple pencil. unfortunately procreate is the only program i know but i imagine similar features exist in other programs as well. i feel like i need to say that i am in no way an expert on shading and i know it's not always accurate. also if you end up using this tutorial in some of your edits please feel free to tag me, i would love to see it! if i've missed something or if i explained something badly don't be afraid to ask me about it. okay long post ahead!
Tumblr media
so i'm going to just make a little simple edit of my girl. this is a screenshot taken from cas that has the sunscreen filter on it from the built in windows photo editor on 20% intensity.
Tumblr media
now i've added my normal little touch ups that i usually do, eyelashes, catch lights and highlights as well as touching up her scars. everything is painted with the soft airbrush except for some highlights that are painted with the 2B compressed charcoal brush. before adding highlights however you should figure out where you want the light to come from. i've drawn a little ugly sun for you to see where i've placed my light.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
now i use the soft airbrush and paint with black where the shadows would be. if i would have fixed up the hair (which i didn't for this one because it's my least favorite part and i didn't have the energy) i would have made sure to make the shadow layer behind the hair ones since i think it looks better if the hair isn't shaded the way the face is. then i blend all of the black out with the smudge tool with the soft airbrush so it looks a little softer.
Tumblr media
then change the layer to soft light and change the opacity to 60% and voilà! you have soft shadows! if some shadows still look to harsh for your liking just go back in with the smudge tool a little more.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
now do a layer on top of everything and kind of circle the part you want lit up the most with black again, smudge it and set the layer to soft light at 60% opacity.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this step is not a must, i don't do it very often anymore but if you want some extra color or light you can do this. choose a color you want your light source to be. i tend to feel like intense colors look the best. paint it where you want the light to come from, then use the gaussian blur tool until your satisfied.
Tumblr media
now you can leave it in the normal layer setting or play around a bit with different ones until you find something that you feel fits. for this one i decided on using the difference layer setting on 70% opacity.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
a step i always almost forget is shading the eyes! to do that you just repeat the normal shadow process. paint it black, smudge and put the layer to soft light on 60% opacity. it adds so much, i highly recommend this step! now you're done with the first part. now save it as an image and start a new canvas with that image.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
if you want to use gaussian, motion or perspective blur now would be the time. i didn't for this one but i almost always do. this next step is also totally optional. we are going to use chromatic aberration in the displace setting on 90% opacity and slightly pull it to the side. then use the normal chromatic aberration between 5-10%. it just adds a lot of fun and weird color that i just love and makes the edit look so much more alive. then use sharpen, i usually do 10-15%. and after that use bloom. my edits are almost always dark so i use a lot of it. i think i did 35% for this one to give it a little glow. then use noise. my go to is 3% on max octaves. then go into hue, saturation, brightness and change the saturation to 55% (you can do however much you want but these are my go to's) and brightness to 49%.
Tumblr media
now go into curves and play around. i always make the gamma brighter but the colors i play around with so much.
Tumblr media
completely optional again but i've recently started to add a gradient map, especially instant or noir. for this one i used noir on 20%. and that's it, we are done!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
before/after.
hopefully this is understandable and helpful. have fun!!

Hey you! Are you new to art and feel uncomfortable asking questions about what tools people use to create art and/or have asked and been ignored or told off for it? Well, those people were jerks and you deserve answers. So, feel free to ask me! Anon or not. Whatever you’re comfortable with.
My artsy ‘resume’ is below, but I also am generally good at research so anything I don’t feel I know with confidence I can still help put together some info for you.
Art types that I have the most experienced with:
Comics- traditional and digital. including pencils, inks, colors, lettering (not my strongest), layout/printing, etc.
Illustration- different style types, including but not limited to: general illustration, book covers, children’s books, horror/graphic, etc.
Photography and photo editing- general, fantasy/art photography, portrait, animals, nature, etc.
Animation- mostly 2D and some 3D. Storyboarding/animatic/full projects, stop motion, voice acting (not my strongest), backgrounds/effects (not my strongest), props, etc.
Traditional arts: pencils, charcoal, oils, acrylic, watercolor, ink, printmaking (not my strongest, but I know a lot about it), figure study, still life, etc.
Printing/merch: sticker making at home and with pro printers, mugs, calendars, fabric printing, art prints, etc. Multiple merchants so just ask!
Tools:
Wacom Cintiq 16 (current)
(Have used a Wacom Intuos before)
iPad w pencil (current-she’s an older generation though)
Digital PC program experience:
Photoshop/After effects/Flash/Etc (until 2015 so not quite up to date on any major program changes after that, sorry!)
Clip Studio Paint- Pro and Ex (current)
GIMP- (current but I used it more before 2014ish)
Poser- (2020 right before the update. I had to get rid of it because the company that I bought it from sold the program to another company but didn’t include my key code anywhere so I basically got stolen from. Aye)
Apps:
Procreate-(current)
MediBang Paint-(current)
Other apps:
Picsart- (current)
CapCut- (current)

Download Adobe Premiere Pro Cracked Version
Adobe Premiere Pro crack is a pirated version of professional software that has undergone different modifications. The software cracking is aimed at removing the software protection so a larger number of people can use it without purchasing the activation key.
The standard hacking process involves removing the original file, namely the program’s executable, and replacing it with a fake one that fools the program pretending this is a licensed version. In such a way, the software doesn’t ask for the activation code.
Features:
Responsive Design
The convenience of the entire workflow largely depends on the program’s interface. That’s why, Adobe team is continuously improving their products in order to make the UI super-responsive and efficient. The latest enhancement is related to the integrity of keyframes in motion graphics.
Immersive VR Support
With the growing popularity of VR, many video editors look for programs that offer handy tools for this type of work. Adobe Premiere Pro is a nice representative of this category, as it boasts impressive complex VR editing features.

If Hawks really did lose his wings and the HPSC abandoned him, is that enough punishment for Hawks to you? (For betraying and killing Twice) Don't mind me, I'm just really interested in your opinion on it.
Hey!
it's not that I wanted that route as "punishment," per se, but more as a narrative consequence for his actions, you know? I like this scenario because I think it would open the way for his character growth.
The Commission's brainwashing is based on Keigo's trauma. Tomie gave him a complex about his quirk, constantly lamenting "why do you have those wings for." That line spurred him to save people from that car crash, and set in motion the events that followed, and we know from his adult mindset and his mentoring to Tokoyami that it still influences his actions even now. Basically, Hawks based his entire identity on the ultimate goal of being useful to others.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"if you have wings, you should make use of them." Except, Hawks doesn't use them to fly free. The purpose he found for them is what the Commission exploits them for. They've become a tool, and his sense of self rotates around this role of his, the one who "sullies his wings so that others don't have to." That is, he becomes a tool for other people's sake.
But the thing is, Hawks, Keigo, doesn't like being a tool. He follows orders because the Commission rewrote his natural compassion into a soldier mentality. Remember, at his core Keigo wants to help people. The HPSC exploited that by feeding him a narrative where killing villains who threaten the status quo helps the most people in the long run, and effectively leashed him to his soldier role with it.
But if Hawks suddenly and permanently lost his wings, the one thing that makes him so valuable to the Commission... He would be forced to reassess who he even is without them. For so long, he defined himself as a hero. He was made to abandon his civilian name, and he has fully become "Hawks." But without his quirk, it would be a lot harder to keep being a pro, and most importantly, he would no longer be a soldier for the HPSC. So what would be left, then?
I'm sure he'd still want to be a hero because he'd still feel that call to be useful, to help other people in need... But once he'd cut the Commission's leash, he would finally be able to do so on his terms, and not on orders from a ruthless governmental institution.
I wanted to see that. I wanted to see him reclaim his identity as Keigo and make his own choices. I wanted him to see the other side he's been blind to so far, the side of those who are social misfits and pariahs for not having a "heroic" quirk. I wanted to see how that would change him, and how he'd cope with the realization that his worth is inherent, and not tied to his quirk or how much his abusers can keep exploiting him for their own gain.
I hope that makes sense! We'll never get this from canon (unless he'll lose his wings after this arc, I guess, tho it would no longer have the same impact), but I just thought it was a neat scenario that would give him a lot more depth than the current plotline

Happy Stabby Day!
These are my knives :)
Tumblr media
Chef knives
Features: My favorite darlings, and honestly the ones I wanted to talk about. These are Zwilling Pro, 38417-180 and 38401-180, and it makes me happy they are from Zwilling because they are twins. On the right is a standard chopping chef knife. Note the deep base after the handle, straight belly, and pointed tip in case you need any sharp stabbing motion - though if you're doing much of that, you want another knife. It has a gorgeous heavy chopping sound as you work through an onion, or even a butternut squash.
On the left is my beautiful freaky nerd of a chef knife. It can in principle do anything the chef knife can do, but it's really made for mincing. Note the rounded belly and strange angle at the tip - the belly makes it rock on the cutting board, just a bit, so it's perfect for things like mincing garlic, and the tip changes the weight and makes it readily identifiable. I adore this knife.
Lesson: Learn whether you are a chopper or a slicer in the kitchen, and choose your knives accordingly.
Would I Take it to the Senate in 44 BC: Not a chance. These are made for chopping on a cutting board, and they would not stab in a satisfying fashion.
Tumblr media
Hyacinths knife
Features: Wide girth, nearly straight blade, excellent weight if you want to julienne vegetables which Hyacinth frequently does, and the key feature: the rounded bottom edge at the 'point', which allows him to scoop. The slight rounding on the blade allows rocking similar to my twins, but the overall flatness allows him to chop big things in a straight motion whereas mine can only chop. He's also a big fan of the width of the blade for scooping finished products and carrying them on the top.
His actual favorite is a really terrible older knife his grandma gave him, same shape bit a wider yet blade and a more exaggerated rounded end, which doesn't keep its sharpness and the handle keeps falling off.
Lesson: Fancy nice knives keep their edge better.
Would I Take it to the Senate in 44 BC: No It doesn't have anything like a stabbing point. Unless you want to chop Caesar up after stabbing him, this is not the right tool.
Tumblr media
Meat knives
Features: Long, narrow blades slice better. If you're a slicer, you want a chef knife that is closer to this shape. I abandon my beloved knives for these fellows when I'm turning large pieces of meat into bite-size chunks, especially if it's chicken. Slicers move better through meat than choppers, and the sharp point helps you get that initial grip.
Honestly I'm not actually a knife person and I don't know what the difference between these shapes is. Chime in if you know!
Lesson: Slicers work better for meat.
Would I Take it to the Senate in 44 BC: This would be my knife of choice if concealment were not an object. Nice sharp point, fine slicing blade, works great on meat - my only concern would be if the violence and stabbing would damage a long blade, or even break it.
Tumblr media
Paring knives
Features: Short flat blades for a lot of easy control and leverage. These are fruit-and-cheese knives, where you can hold the object and the knife in your hands and work with them without a surface. Or with one! Detail work, peeling an apple... they also are just smaller and seem easier to clean, so I pull them out for small tasks. (The black one is a Wüsthof we've had since I was a child, and dirty from cutting cheese.)
For a tomato, mind, you'll want either a very sharp knife, or a serrated knife. Cheap bread knife does wonders on that slippy tomato skin.
Lesson: Short knives give more control and enable airborne cutting
Would I Take it to the Senate in 44 BC: Absolutely, if concealment were an issue. Almost all of the advantages of the meat knives above, with much reduced power, but very easy to hide up a sleeve. You could even let it be visible if you're carrying, say, an apple - there's a presumable use here.
Tumblr media
Swiss army knife Patrick's dad gave me
Features: ...everything? Downsides: nothing works perfectly. But it's got short blade, long blade, saw blade, tin opener, bottle opener, wine opener, tweezers (barely visible, with the gray hilt by the toothpick), toothpick, fishing? hook?, scissors... If there's more I just haven't found it yet.
Lesson: If you lose your pocket knives constantly, you are allowed to get another one. Knives pass into our lives and out of them - in the case of Julius Caesar, sometimes very rapidly.
Would I Take it to the Senate in 44 BC: I'd have it on me already in case the occasion arose!
