To everyone asking "why did Marinette shake hands instead of telling everyone they can't trust Lila?"
She already tried that million times, no one believes her while Lila makes herself look like a bigger person for being friendly around Marinette. So if Marinette refused working with Lila again, she wouldn't have accomplished anything apart from making everyone even more annoyed because Lila looks ready to end their rivalry but Marinette is not. So she had to play along and act like everything is fine because of the audience pressure. Otherwise she would've just repeated the same thing all over and over again, make herself look bad because even Adrien seemed ok that Lila is with them - and he's not supposed to, and make Lila look like a victim and everyone being disappointed in Marinette's "cruelty". It's not fair to Marinette but it was the only way for her to live today so she can fight tomorrow. She's not friends with Lila, she's just acting in front of the class.

i have a love hate relationship with studying artists bc i dont like the fact that just bc theyre dead and long gone we can comb through every inch of their personal life just to get one step closer to discovering their intentions when creating a certain piece. but on the other hand you really cant effectively analyze art without understanding the context and more often than not the context includes extremely personal details you wouldnt tell anyone but your closest friends and family. i hate that theres this expectation that your art HAS to mean something personal to you otherwise theres no point to it. isnt it enough that you look at it and create your own meaning?
#theres some people who have things to say tho. and they articulate that into their art#which is fine! like art means so many different things to people and the reasons you create it are all valid#but idk. it bothers me that you have to know this random persons entire life story. just bc they made a famous painting or whatever and now#you have to analyze it#i hate the inherent invasion of privacy that comes with art analysis#i really notice it in my seminar class#bc heres a real life person in front of me showing their work and literally spilling their heart out#and all the wuestions i have to answer are like. what lead you to doing this and how did your life experince effect how you made art#and other shit like that#and i hate it but i UNDERSTAND why but i hate it anyways#i get why hut i hate the fact we have to do it anyways#i hate how PERSONAL art is#even if its like. just some random character youre drawing its still so personal#maybe its an insignificant detail. like i have an oc i like to draw a lot and i made her in middle school in the height of my ml phase when#i was home sick with a fever. i drew her on copy paper and random office supply markers and pens in my brothers bed bc he was in school#like maybe its mot super personal and something i want to keep with me#but it says something about yourself anyways#the mortifying ordeal of being known and all that i guess#i hate that you cant really just say oh i just made this using these images bc i thought they looked nice. no other reason than that. and pe#people wont really pay much attention unless its super interestinf regardless#like last semester with my painting final with the collage. my professor let me soeak for like 30 seconds and then was like well your techni#technique was nice and other really lame critiques and then just moved on. she gave everyone else super in depth words and just kinda glosse#glossed over mine#anyways like i said love hate relationship#michi tag

Today marks the 1-year anniversary of this account! So here’s a birthday Marinette...
I wanted to make something in honor of the occasion and so here I present a picture of Marinette with her hair down. I’m still pretty new to Procreate and I always get really nervous sharing my art with other people but I figured if there was any time to face my fears it would be for the account’s first birthday.

So I'm a leftist because I can plainly see that capitalism sucks, but I have a really hard time pinning down what I think we should replace it with because I have "agrees with the last theory I read" disease. (Or, more embarrassingly, "agrees with the last Post I read.")
Something I've been wondering about recently is what's the point of planning and arguing over what happens after the revolution anyway? The chances of a successful worker's revolution in my lifetime, let alone the next few decades, feels vanishingly small. The preconditions just feel so far away.
Is there really value in committing to a specific ideology right now, or is it sufficient to say the anarchist future and the ML future (and even, like, the DemSoc future) sound better than what we have now, and require many of the same preconditions, so let's work towards those shared goals now and figure out what comes after in a few decades when the groundwork is actually laid?
i agree with you that i don't think a genuine revolutionary situation will arise (at least, not in the imperial core) within our lifetimes. i also agree that there is a meaningful degree to which the theoretical differences between marxist-leninists & anarchists are far enough from being present and pressing concerns that they should in almost all cases be working together and employing similar tactics and action.
however, i do think there is a value to having an ideological framework: it keeps you consistent. if your ideology is vague and empty, you're liable to (intentional or unintentional) opportunism--you will fill in the gaps or approach new ideas with the default positions, the ones that require the least divergence from hegemonic cultural norms and values.
that sounds a bit ideological-jargony so i'll phrase it another way: if you grow up in a [joker voice] society, you're going to grow up with a lot of assumptions! like, 'cops reduce crime', for example. and if you don't have an underlying theory of capitalist society and how it functions, then it's entirely possible to realize (through experience or analysis) that capitalism is bad and that our society is inherently unjust, but continue thinking 'cops reduce crime' because that's just the default cultural position you grew up with. these two things are pretty impossible to reconcile, right--because of course the actual purpose of cops is to enforce private property rights and maintain the capitalist system of economic relations--but if you don't have a full theoretical framework of capitalism & society that you can use to analyse things, that incoherence is very easy to let slip by!
i also want to say that while i think that anarchists & marxist-leninists (and all other revolutionary) communists share common goals and functionally very similar political projects for our forseeable lifetime, there is a meaningful difference between these two and the 'demsocs' you mentioned. not an uncrossable gulf by any means in terms of working together and forging political alliances--but the steps one takes to agitate and organize the working class in anticipation of a future revolutionary situation, however distant, are imo very functionally different to the steps one takes to advocate for social reform within liberal legislatures. rosa luxemburg put it well when she said there is nothing reformist about supporting trade unions, welfare legislation, as a vehicle for revolutionary class struggle--but when you take these things as ends themselves, i.e., as viable methods for resolving the contradictions of capitalism, you become unable to use them as such a vehicle.
but, yeah. tldr; i think it is far from the most important thing (the most important thing is to be a principled anti-capitalist & anti-imperialist--these are the two litmus tests for whom i can consider a political ally), but it is useful to have an underlying political framework rather than a collection of individual positions, because the latter can lead to contradictory and self-defeating worldviews and political programs

It bugs me when anarchists say that the methods MLs use are contradictory to the ends we purport to seek. It acts as though the suppression of the bourgeoisie and bourgeois sympathizers are an invalid means when seeking the elimination of the bourgeoisie as a class, which is just transparently untrue. I understand the people who disagree with those means on principle, but it's the unfounded accusation of hypocrisy that gets to me.
Again, this has most to do with the anarchist framework of analysis. To them, the state represents an entire "class" of people who then become the "enemies of the people", rather than a tool of class domination. This is because anarchism fails to analyze the world through a solidly material class analysis. States have class natures; liberal democracies are dictatorships of the bourgeoisie, socialist countries are dictatorships of the proletariat. The "enforcers" of the states do not change their material needs nor their relations to the means of production, which forms the basis of class relations. States, as tools of class rule and class suppression, is the highest order weapon a class can wield against its class enemies. DOTBs, held by the bourgeoisie, have the proletariat under its thumb and that's why biden/congress can make railway strikes illegal and peaceful protestors on university campuses are about to get shot by cops. DOTPs. held by the proletariat, literally put billionaires to death, something that you could not even dream about in DOTBs like the united states. To argue these two are exactly the same is idealistic nonsense which ignores material reality for moralistic superiority, a force which is entirely useless in political-economy.

Doodle of my Mirialan OC, Iria. She's a scholar--Peofessor of Cultural Anthropology/Archaeology, with a minor in Art History: all centered on what she calls "The Culture of Warfare" and how it defines and shapes those cultures which engage in war.
She also put herself through school as an exotic dancer in a not-very-nice place, like you do.

She has a list of other skills and knowledges, but I don't want anyone crying "Mary Sue!" so a quick note:
All but a handful of her knowledge and abilities are skills I currently have or had at one point, and I promise I am not anyone's idea of a "Mary Sue."
These skills and achievements include:
-Multiple Advanced Degrees (I have an Associate's, a Bachelor's, and 3 Master's degrees)
-Art (I am a professional artist, and although I have a long way to go and a lot of room to improve, I have worked hard to get where I am, and obtained both an MA in Visual Development and an MFA in Concept Art in the process)
-Martial Arts (I stopped one test shy of a black belt when I was 17 because I started college)
-Fencing (I started fencing when I was 21, which is how I met my husband; we were both competitive until and somewhat during grad school, but now we mostly just coach)
-Music (clarinet and vocal primarily, then violin and piano for a short time)
-Writing (creative and academic, my second degree was in Literary Studies)
-Multilingual (I have studied Spanish, French, Latin, and Russian)
-Organization schemes/data analysis and curation (my first Masters was in Library Science, and I was a librarian for over ten years)
-Handling of rare/historic artifacts (I studied special collections, collection management, and rare books in my MLS)
-Cooking (my husband and I love cooking together)
-Fashion (as part of my MLS I worked in a designer and historic fashion archive)
-Metalwork (I have taken metalsmithing classes, worked as a jeweler's apprentice, and even got to try blacksmithing once upon a time)

-Acting (listen I don't think I'm good, but I was in Improv as a kid, love to RP at the game table , and was even a mime once)
-Field Ecology (loved this class, caught so many snakes, frogs, turtles, and lizards: I do not do spiders or insects, and therefore neither do my characters)
Skills I ABSOLUTELY do not have that my OC has:
-social grace (I'm an awkward weirdo)
-physical grace (despite all I have done, I am so clumsy)
-beauty (I am a swamp witch without the swamp)

-dancing (I did dance and drill team when I was in junior high, did swing choir in high school, did the "shimmy" belly dance workout, and took a pole-dance workout class once which was an absolute blast, but JFC I am NOT a dancer, I promise)

I'm sure there's more, but you get the idea. A multifaceted character with a collection of experiences that seem disparate isn't different from what we are IRL when we break ourselves down into a list like this. In addition to all the positives, I'm also old (35), neurodivergent and mentally-Ill.
So yeah, not a "Mary Sue."

Dang, I didn't realize you stopped writing ML analysis because some dweebs were raining on your parade and making fun of it. You wrote some of the best stuff looking at ML and I'm sorry jerks ruined that for you. Both you and this fandom have been robbed of something great because some people just can't let other enjoy things.
i mean there are a lot of reasons, both personal and fandom related. My work is very demanding, I had some traumatic shit that happened a few months ago I'm still processing, and my interests in fandoms go up and down over time, like right now it's pretty clear to see i'm more active in other fandoms besides ML.
But honestly the awful way the fans have been acting towards this season, not just in the way they rain on everyone's parade but also the way the bible and leaks have spread so far and wide. While that isn't the fandom's fault persay it's still awful. the fun of theorizing is gone when a bunch of people know what's going to happen, so naturally i just kinda stopped (then all the broadcasting bs that always bothers me ugh)
But I think the one thing this fandom hasn't seemed to realize is that it takes a lot of effort to write about this show, especially if you're an adult or a student who has other things going on. It's easy to leave a comment that hates on the analyses they write, and it's also easy for it to feel like a personal attack.
Think of it this way, so many people relate to Adrien and Mari, in so many ways. They can see themselves in them, even their faults and mistakes mean something. It feels incredibly validating for someone to be able to see that.
Take my Adrien has depression posts for example. Because I've had depression since I was younger than him and did a lot of the same masking behaviors he does, it meant so much to me. Here was a character who seemed to be going through what I was at the time and still struggle with today. It was so wonderful to see on screen because it felt like I was finally being seen. Or another example would be Mari's anxiety and ADHD which I also relate to so much, especially when it causes her to make some mistakes or handle things in the wrong way. It's classing anxiety-avoidance cycles, and seeing it on screen made me feel like I wasn't so alone. And I am sure so many other people felt the same way
And then there are people who go and say awful things about these characters on a post where you express those feelings. How Adrien is being a whiney baby or whatever bs they say, how his actions are a sign of him being selfish instead of all of the trauma and neglect he's experienced. Or how Mari's complex thinking patterns and behavior are relegated down to her being a stalker or a mary sue or what have you, once again completely ignoring the core complexity of her character as just a normal girl who was forced essentially to be a superhero. The pressures of which would be tremendous on anyone let alone someone with clear ND traits and traumatic experiences.
And people insult those fictional characters, so quickly and easily, without realizing the very real damage they are doing to the very real people who see themselves in them. I've talked so much about why I love sentiadrien because i can see some of my struggles in that storyline, and then to have people say that no it doesn't matter because my experiences aren't as important? that it's invalid because there's only one right way to experience trauma? that im wrong for finding solace in it? it's awful, and it puts me down.
i shouldnt be feeling invalidated when im watching my comfort show, i shouldn't spend days writing very careful posts only to get them shat on by insensitive comments. as much as i want to ignore them and focus on the good i do and the fun i get from it, it still feels like a stab through the chest every time.
and then there are the people who say i'm an awful therapist because they don't agree with my analyses. that's the worst, and while i won't go into details about why this particular statement brings me so much pain, i just need folks to understand that it's genuinely one of the worst insults i've ever had. and if everytime i write something i have second guess myself, and then second guess if i even have the skill and talent for the field i'm in, it just becomes a horrible spiral. people make these comments like they're the easiest thing in the world to say and it just boggles my mind, because although they may have forgotten their stupid little tag i certainly haven't. i hold them deep in that dark part of my brain where the whispers are loudest and hardest to control.
ultimately, the last few months i wanted to remind myself why i like this show and this website in the first place, and that i'm doing it for me. life is hard enough, if i can't have fun in the one place i can control then what's the point? so i will control my own experiences within this fandom, even if other's want to rain on it

Everything about Paris in regards to "LadyNoir" reminds me of The Hunger Games, and how The Capitol basically hung on every twist and turn of Katniss/Peeta. I'm reminded a *lot* about that series when looking at ML, especially with Marinette having PTSD at the end, her not being with the boy she probably wants (Gale/Luka), and the boy she does have being tainted heavily (though in Peeta's case it was outside of his control).
kinda, but like, The Hunger Games was just exaggerating something we already see in real life. like, the media circus exists in real life and it's leeched deep into society's general conscious, and the very thing Collins was pointing out with the story, is the very same thing the general public latched onto in her novels.
like, by most of the general public, The Hunger Games isn't remembered as a commentary on class, the nature of revolutions, or a commentary on the media's obsession with violence and romance it's just remembered as: "oh Katniss had two boytoys UwU". which is honestly?? incredibly ironic.
the in-world media latched onto the idea of star-crossed lovers rather than the fact that, well, they were literally killing other children in a televised murder game show. and that's what real-world media and people have also latched onto?? it's painfully ironic.
so like, it's less of MLB in-world media mirrors THG in-world media and more...art imitates life. except with ML, the media circus is treated as an unavoidable part of life which, while sometimes annoying, is mainly good.
anyway. this is slowly turning into a thg analysis but like. and idk how to say this without sounding like an ass, but, i think comparing Luka to Gale is a disservice to Luka as a character. i can see where it comes from, don't get me wrong, it's a pattern most love triangles post-twitlight seem to follow. "one guy gets the girl, the other doesn't". but it doesn't really...fit Luka, beyond a surface level.
it's been a while since i've read the books, so i could be misremembering details. but but the war and the revolution really...destroyed Gale. through the last book especially, he really took on a mindset of vengeance. like, he was pushing for more brutal tactics, and in the last few chapters, he was...concerningly keen on the idea of the Capitol children in their own Hunger Games. and like, i get it, i can't say i agree but i understand why he'd want it.
but like, beyond a surface level, Luka and Gale are polar opposites. like Luka? revenge wouldn't even be an option in his mind.
anyway like, no offense meant, just thought i'd make myself clear.

I'm putting the SPOILERS alert in case !
So it was true, Kagami will believe Lila’s lies over Marinette T_T I never thought I would be so dissapointed in Kagami’s character before this, I honestly thought she was better than that. As someone who is not even friend with Lila and recognized her a liar and a rival for Adrien's love when she was akumatized in Oni-chan, I though Kagami would be smarter than Marinette’s other friends about Lila tricks, but I guess I was wrong. This is such a waste of Kagami’s character, because if she would rather believe a stranger’s words over Marinette whom she’s supposed to be friend with (and apparently has strong feeling for, according to the bible) then that means she was never truly Marinette’s friend to begin with, that Marinette’s trust friendship was never fully reciprocated.
I really though that other than being the second love interests of the main characters, Kagami and Luka were destined to become Adrien and Marinette greatest allies, but if the season 5 bible is not a scam, then my hopes about those two characters were misplaced. There’s still some hope left for Luka’s character because I heard that he would be out of the picture after the first half of season 5 probably because as someone who know both Chat Noir and Ladybug’s secret identities, it’s too risky to keep him in Paris. But if Kagami doesn’t ever realize at some point during season 5 that she fucked up reguarding her friendship with Marinette, and if she doesn’t feel regret nor sincerely apologize because of it, I will consider her character to be definitelly ruined by the show.
I asked the same question to a lot of people I know, and they all answered the same thing : If your supposed friends would rather believe the words of someone they barely know over your words, then they are not your friends.
About Marinette’s classmates chosing Lila over her as the new class president, I guess it really depends of the context. If it’s because Bustier decided that they had to change class president for reasons, and Lila’s program just charmed her classmates more than Marinette’s program, then I guess I cannot blame them for this. But as someone who experienced french school, I know that the class president stays the same for the whole year unless they give up their position as class president. And since Marinette and Adrien class is still the same since season 1, either Marinette chose to delegate her class president responsabilities because she’s not managing those well with her Ladybug’s duties, or her classmates decided Marinette was not fit anymore to be class president and chose to replace her with Lila (who apparently will chose Chloé as her assistant 0_0 ? ) and if the last option is the canon one, then yeah, Marinette’s classmates will once again dissapoint me, and the serie too. Because while I get that friends can make mistakes and not always behave as good friends, what’s the point if they never recognize nor acknowledge where they failed as friends ? Wha’st the point of portaying Marinette’s classmates as good friends if everytime Lila is involved they suddenly let Marinette down and doesn’t reciprocate the trust she gives them ? I would lie if I said I wasn’t entertained when a main character suffers and still overcome their struggles, but I’m not watching Miraculous Ladybug to see its female protagonist being the punching bag and scapegoat of its own serie and its fandom.
About the similar experience to Marinette’s that you went through, I’m glad that you had a teacher who defended you when that classmate of your lied about you (that teacher have all my respect ! we know that Miss Bustier would never do something like that for Marinette) and that you found the right word to convince your mother to hear your side of the story when your cousin lied about you. But because I never went through those kind of situation before I really don’t know if my opinion is valid or not. I am very fortunate that my parent would always hear my side of the story first before beleiving anything bad said about me, to have all my cousins being good people, and to have had a good school experience. I always shared my class with my twin sister (whom I’m very close to) since elementary school to high school, and she was always popular enough for others to not try to go farther that some mockeries (everyone apparently knew my name but there’s a lot of them I didn’t even know), and they stopped making fun of me once I started fighting back. But friends and family once said to me that as an autistic person, if I hadn’t had my sister with me, or my parents who would actively defend me against any injustice, there a high chance that I would have been more victim of bullying. So when I compare my situation to Marinette’s, I always feel like she deserves so much better, because if I could have it all then why can’t she ?

I don't want to write more about this because I really don't know, we don't know how this will happen and if this will actually happen, there are possibilities of changes in the script and such. It sounds too discouraging to think Lila would take Marinette's place as the class president, I wish that doesn't happen, because it has to happen if the class votes for her and I don't understand why would more people vote for her over Marinette and even pick Chloé too because they voted for Marinette to replace Chloé in the first place. I really don't see the reason for this. In my school we voted every year I think. I wouldn't like that, not only for Marinette to lose that position but for Lila not to gain the position and more power over other students. The more I dive into the bible the more it feels like a fanfiction Lila wrote. I thought season 4 was bad to Marinette, but this one sounds like she's paying for every sin her ancestors have committed.

Late night thought
I was writing a paper analysis on Buddhism for my ancient civ class and just made the connection that a lot of manhwa is probably based on the beliefs of the religion. (Belief is the cycle of life, death, and rebirth, etc)
This cycle goes on until the soul reaches enlightenment/nirvana, (enlightenment meaning you’re happy in life and content with your imminent suffering and impending death) it’s a really interesting religion and while I’m not personally religious, I think learning about them is cool. Anyway, to the manhwa thought.
Buddhism is one of the main religions practiced in east Asia (South Korea included) so this is where the Isekai trope probably comes from. The FL’s (and seldom ML) are reincarnated after a death that is wrongful, and not something that they’re content with and they are far from happy in their previous life.
Does this mean that the FLs failed to reach nirvana in their previous life (lives) and that’s why they were reincarnated? Has the cycle of reincarnation been broken because they reached that sense of inner peace? Idk.
I just thought it was an interesting thought, and my brain is in academic mode, and I love analyzing shit.

Amreekan here :) I don't have a problem with stereotypes or Kim's so-called rudeness, but more that the writer got a lot of the basics incorrect. But that's a v small part of a bigger problem with Kim. From what I can see ek recent trend ban gaya hai that MLs are written better but at the expense of the FLs. I feel even that scene where Kim talks abt her abuse became abt how Dawood reacted so gently with her. I'm glad we are getting a non toxic ml but I'm a Maya fan. Wanna see HER shine.
Agreed, the writer did get the basics wrong. I said it earlier that Yunhi is a story that feels outdated in the current scenario because social media has made information to access so much easier that such blatant ignorance is no one's fault but the writer's own laziness. HOWEVER, if by the 15th week the conversation around the drama continues to be about just that misrepresentation and not everything else that it is doing RIGHT..then that's not the drama's fault. that's on the people who are taking Yunhi as the end-all, be-all representation of foreign based Pakistani characters and actually taking personal offense regarding everything that Kim does instead of how her actions affect the narrative. Kim is NOT the best written character. her actions are very contradictory to what she says. some of her actions lack common sense. I am not denying any of that criticism. but taking THAT as an "insult" towards foreign based Pakistanis instead of just accepting that hey, Kim as a character is just a mess like this IS where I have issues. countless of FLs in our Pakistani dramas are on this similar level of mess. but if their moohphattness or goody-two-shoeness is not meant to be taken as a faithful representation of how women in Pakistan actually are..why not the same courtesy for Kim??? why is SHE always under the microscope?? when in fact her character's exaggerated unfilterness EXISTS for the main purpose of confronting the elephants in the room that the middle class Pakistani society has gotten experts at ignoring. sure, Kim's actions don't always hit the nail perfectly but by goodness the hammer never strays away from the target.

Razia was the name of her mother's dear friend. if anything, I see Kim calling Razia by her first name as a way of finding a deeper connection with her mother and with Razia, the HUMAN and not the person who is solely called by the relationships she has. would people be alright with Kim calling Razia as "aunty" or "ami" and she continues to treat her like a punching bag that is only deserving of comfort in the confines of a room?? the way Razia gets treated by Basharat? unpraised, unloved, unappreciated in front of everyone but ohhoo what's wrong with that? She gets called with the appropriate titles of respect! Bass yehi toh chaiye hota hai life mein!!

OMG YES YES YESSSS!! THISSSS!!!! that's so true!!!! it's getting so obvious in Pakistani dramas now. Yunhi doesn't do it as blatantly as others but yesss..it does that too! i am seeing praise being showered on Dawood/BA for the abuse scene instead of pointing out that scene's significance wrt Kim's character and how it explains WHY Kim behaves in certain ways. which is so unfair cuz the scene was a very pivotal moment that shed light on BOTH these characters and their dynamics. but i guess the audience nowadays is in their 'dreamy hero chaiye' era so instead of them applying any critical analysis of the FL's character, they just put up with her while they fantasize about the ML and the fantasies they can build with her. times are changing..the men on and off screen are getting more hype than the women when a few years ago it was the opposite. let's see how long this trend will last. although i am sure the balance will never be achieved here. the scales will always tip in favor of one side at the expense of the other's.

a big part of the dawn of the "patriotic socialist" movement, is, i think, the result of western leftists looking to the successes of nations wherein MLism has brought massive progress with a nonetheless non-scientific lens, admiring rather than studying them.
consequently, the patsoc line is praised and upheld by many international spectators from outside of the western settler regions, including and especially from these very strongholds of marxism, because without a proper analysis the patsoc line appears to be the one in line with the internationally accepted interpretation of ML.
this "marxism" based on aesthetics and vulgar materialism instead of reality and science is why so much of the patsoc line is the inadvertent worship of the fascism of the settler petty bourgeoisie and labor aristocracy. they do not understand how class relations work in the settler nations & regions because they aren't studying the settler nations & regions but misapplying the logics of entirely different revolutionary programmes under entirely different class conditions.
and what this non-scientific approach begets is idealism and liberalism and it leaves the patsoc movement a breeding ground for standard-type reactionary nationalism and settler fascism. and thus now the "proletarian struggle" they're stressing is devolving into culture war.
settlerism is material and it is the basis for nearly all class relations within the settler regions and settler nationalism is as incompatible with revolutionary nationalism as bourgeois nationalism. as of now there simply exists no nation under which the whole of the US or canadian (for example) revolutionary working classes can unite; instead of ignoring this fact, let us go about solving it.
