Yo le canto a tus volcanes, a tus praderas y flores
Que son como talismanes del amor de mis amores
México lindo y querido, si muero lejos de ti
Que digan que estoy dormido
Y que me traigan aquí
Que digan que estoy dormido

DAMON'S 2024 AGENDA
Africa Express
Damon will tour South America with Africa Express for the first time. More dates to be announced (?)
February 16-18, Bahidorá, Cuernavaca, Mexico (Tickets on sale)
February 23, Parque Ibirapuera, São Paulo, Brazil (Tickets on sale)
The Curse (The Magic Flute Part II)
The Curse (provisional title) is Damon's new opera commissioned by Jean-Luc Choplin to compose the suite to Mozart's The Magic Flute, imagined by Goethe after the great composer's death and never before produced. We still don't know is he's doing just the music or singing as well. He said: "I'll try to mix Goethe with club music. That's my aim."
It will open in October at LIDO 2 Paris. Tickets on sale in January.
Gorillaz
After finishing with the writing for the opera he will travel with Jamie to India to record a new Gorillaz album. (Damon was in LA before Blur' South America tour doing some 'late-night music session' with Honey Dijon, A$AP Rocky and EarthGang. He also recorded something in Argentina. Could be for Gorillaz or could be not)
He talked a bit about Gorillaz' new direction: "It will be a paradigm shift, it will be very different. It will be an entirely different approach to everything — to the band, to everything. We’re at a point where we’re going to change. Why? Because it was always just Jamie and I. Although it is a very big thing now, it is still, in essence, just two people. If we decided between us that we want to do something unrecognisable then we will. You need that for it to stay alive, really.” - Damon.
And.... regarding Blur:
With the last show in Argentina the band went on an indefinite hiatus. There are no plans for a new tour or album. Some festivals tried to book them and received the response: "Blur will not tour in 2024". On the other hand, the Wembley shows were professionally filmed. Before that some fans were interviewed by a filming crew at the warm-up gigs, so there is a documentary being worked on. We still don't know how or when it will be released. And that's all (for now at least).

(Reposting concepts from my art blog)
From February 1st to March 12th I will be participating in RPG Maker Horror Jam #2 with the theme "Macabre Carnival".
I feel this will be an amazing way to take a break from Jake's Halloween Night series, plus have a project to practice new things and try different styles and whatnot.
My main goal is to actually finish the game, since until now I've had some bad luck with Game Jams and never actually finished a project for any of the jams I've participated in.
I decided to get inspiration from Mexican folklore and my culture for a change, but giving it a twist like I do with everything else.
Now about my game project for this jam:
The Girl, the Coyote, and the Rabit (Placeholder name)
"A young girl is on her way back home late at night when she stumbles upon a traveling fair of spirits. Stranded in this strange realm, she has no other option but to follow the advice of Coyote, a strange individual that swears can help her go back to her world..."
Notes: When I say "girl" I don't mean a child, in Mexico is pretty common to get called "Niña" no matter your age. A lot of times it comes in the form of diminishment, but other times is just an easy way to call someone you don't know the name of.
I am a tiny bit worried I am once again bitting more than I can chew, especially because I will be having to do a lot of new tiles since it's a very different scenery from my usual "normal house interior". I tried to do as much as the tiles as I could (don't worry it is allowed for this jam) but dealing with the pain of my wisdom teeth removal did slow me down more than I hoped.
I still don't have my protagonist, I really have been struggling designing her, but I will start worrying about it once I reach the more art part of the development.
I am very excited about this! I hope I can pass on some of that hype to you :D

Nic was travelling somewhere and Alex is located in Cali so they must be in LA imo
Yes Alex V is based in Cali, The Ramona Gym is the location, already showed it
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gosh they apparently drove from LA to Ramona, and the video yesterday at Huntington Beach was most likely on their way to Ramona. But for real I do not think he travels with just a backpack to Mexico with Nic.
Tumblr media
Nic left on Monday 5 February, so has been there apparently all week already and now a weekend to Ramona working out. I figure it's just Nic liking to work with these known coaches, and via Sam's connections he can.
Also how do you want to know Sarah is in Mexico? Yes I know she had a flight, and yes she sowed a beach and her son with her. But you're just guessing that is Mexico and trying to make some story from it. Well sorry... he's hanging out with Nic in Ramona and not with Sarah in Mexico. No coincidences, just 2 people living their own lives. Really Anon stop that behaviour
Tumblr media
Yes Alex knows her, not that big surprise
Tumblr media
Again, with just a backpack? Or do you see any other luggage?
Tumblr media
Okay last Anon just came back saying speculation about The Mirage Vegas is wrong and can be ignored

Mexico Memories 2021, not 2020 🇲🇽
SH -IGS Posted 7th February 2024
SH becomes more nostalgic as he ages or he’s drinking too much tequila. It doesn’t have many activities. So there is plenty of time for ruminating.
He visited Mexico in 2021 and 2022 in a row and this photo of drinking Batanga was in July 2021 in La Capilla (Jalisco) It was not in 2020
Does MN want to revisit Mexico too? 🇲🇽
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
@kaatje62 I have written about this trip in previous posts. Sam has visited Mexico 3 years in a row, the first was in February 2020, returning to Mexico 🇲🇽 in July 2021 with MN and AN and in August 2022. SH’s photo is from July 2021 in La Capilla Tequila-Jalisco. The UK government in 2021 told people not to travel to "green list" countries (Mexico) except for essential reasons. His travel was not essential. For him, and his friends all travel is essential. A tourist who believed that travel restrictions did not apply to him in Mexico.
M.N. doesn't remember when he was one of the Three Stooges in Mexico during the pandemic 😷 SH, MN and AN were the figures of irresponsible men with a lack of discipline, reckless and risky behaviour, the perfect COVIDIOTS.
Tumblr media
The Mexican government emphasised persuasion for people to follow coronavirus restrictions, with mandatory mask-wearing in public and closed spaces and social distancing.

The Three Stooges - SH-MN-AN
@imahalfemptykindofgirl Yeah! SH had his best moment in Mexico before using the country as a back door to enter the United States.
@frenchyses Woke stupidity, in this case it is about stupidity and excesses - it the faculty of thinking in delicate aspects, stupidly, they do not adhere to the rules and refuse to consider them, thinking in their own perspective, and their actions just show that they are just a pretty stupid.
@frenchyses Perhaps you have your definition of "woke", but, this has nothing to do with activist rights or umbrella term for political platforms. Woke stupidity and excesses is a term that extends, more precisely, to define people far more prone to idiocy than is desirable - irrational is always stupid, in the course of action over time, is about human behaviour, nothing else.
@frenchyses The etymology is different. But you still haven't clarified your doubts. —-First was the word woke and then idiocy. All answers were about a whole action. The term idiocy, used is an extremely stupid behavior. It was an explanation but it is also a definition of human stupidity that reveals its own insufficiencies, that’s what it’s about not idiocy. The actions are not beyond the imagination.
@frenchyses As I mentioned earlier and would like to emphasise again, the issue I am discussing has nothing to do with political activism. It is simply about the difference in etymology between the words "stupid" and "idiot".
The word "stupid" originates from the Latin word "stupere" which means "to be amazed or stunned, to be astounded", while the word "idiot" comes from the Greek word "idios" which means "own, private, layman, ignorant person".
This is primarily a discussion about reasoning, human behaviour and different ways of thinking, rather than a matter of social justice, as that is not the focus of my notes.
So, a stupid person is a person, whose thought flow is blocked by some internal or external event, for example by the “wow effect”. This state is usually recoverable.
On the other hand, an idiot is someone whose thought flow is blocked by his Ego / Superiority, flow is not only blocked but cannot change. Due to his behaviour, he cannot change himself due to ignorance. It is very difficult to recover from this state for a given individual. That’s what Dunning–Kruger effect.
@frenchyses None of this is superfluous, in this case, In a literal manner, it is associated with a person in a situation: the pandemic, which exacerbated and accelerated trends, increasing very unintelligent behaviour, and unwillingness to learn. The probability that a certain person is stupid is independent of any other characteristic of that person.

Pluto through zodiac signs in history ☄️
Hi my loves!💕 Today I bring something a litte bit different than usual, myfrustrated career was historian like my mum but end up being the witch of the family, so let's combine and explore today two of my favorite things: astrology and history. Pluto is now entering the sign of Aquarius after more than 200 years and we can see it's effects starting in society. Pluto takes between 12 to 32 years to transit a sign so it creates a generational and collective energy to deal with.
Pluto is the planet of transformation and renewal, it brings destruction to the old and useless and he does it in an explossive and dramatic way, so if you take a look through history with the "astrologer glasses" you can see how pluto works in every sign and his impact in every generation.
If you want to know more about Pluto archetype I'll leave a link to my post about it here
Tumblr media
Pluto in Pisces- From 1798 to 1823
The old empires were falling down opening the road for the Napoleonic empire, a complete opposite form of goverment than what there was before. People were open to accept other people outside of prejudices, well... it was still 19th century, at least they weren't cutting heads anymore so let's give them a chance 🤷‍♀️. Socialism was implanted in Europe through these decades and started the Romantic artistc movement too, there were also huge progress in medicine and the study of nature. Edgar Allan Poe was born with this placement.
Pluto in Aries - From 1821 to 1852
Well... If you know a little about astrology you might expect this. This Pluto transit is the generation of pioneers and revolucionaries, through these years is easy to see a lot of independence movements, mostly in America like the independence of Mexico from Spain the 24th of february of 1824. In this season, regions under the control of unfair leaders started fighting for their rights and their recognition, they were looking for freedom from their opressive politics, on Europe started the spring of nations giving way to a series of riots and revolutions . There was a massive industrial developmentn and as a random fact there were also brutal vocanic explossions.
Pluto in Taurus - From 1853 to 1884
This was a time for a process of unify and stabilize, the people from this transit started to explode the resources that the earth had to provide us, the famous "gold fever" was very strong through these decades. The new politic movements that started with Pluto in Aries begins to solidify and get a more stable structure, there was an amazing economical growth and many agrarial and industrial reforms. There were also a lot of earthquakes that left terrible consequences like the one that happened in Japan on November 11th. These times also promoted materialism and the personal enjoyment, self benefit over the common good.
Pluto in Gemini - From 1882 to 1914
This was a generation for the intellect, new ways of communication and travel began to see the light. In terms of knowledge people wanted to look deeper in the meaning of things, the was a lot of new discoveries and progress about science and psychology. We also had the beginings of the sufragist movement looking for the right of women for education. There was a rise on realism artistic movement over the previous romantisism. In 1888 we had the unfamous Jack the ripper on England and his creepy cards to the police, I see this like the worst face of Pluto in Gemini, that terrible man rejoicing himself in his destructive behaviors (Plutonian) through cards making fun of the police (I always associate writting to Gemini or air signs in general). In general, through this Pluto's transit peopple gave more importance to intellect and rational fact over emotions.
Pluto in Cancer - From 1914 to 1939
The right of women to vote in Luxemburg or the vote for the universal sufragge in Belgium in 1919 are good examples for me of this placement. Cncer is Divine Femenine energy and through these decades the role of women in society is forced to be recognized, not just by the feminist movement but because they are needed for working after the loss of many men that were in World War I. There were also a lot of pacific movements like Ghandi and his hunger strike in India ( I don't like this man but at least he did something important avoiding armed conflicts). This was a time where family roots and homeland had a lot of importance in society and this gives also importance to nationalist political movements. Have in mind that people from this transit had very difficult circumstances, WW1 started on 1914 and WW2 started on 1939, many dictatorships started to form through these years.
Pluto in Leo - From 1937 to 1958
Obviously this Pluto's transit brought up a lot of megalomaniac dictators, charismatic leaders that looked like the answer to the problems of the population and ended up being extremly dangerous, starving for power and dominance over the weak and minorities. I'm not going to talk about the man we all know from WW2, I'm going to talk about the Spanish one that was terrible too. In Spain was imposed franco regime, this man orchestrated a coup d`état (<-sorry that was what google translator told me) that led to a civil war where he told to kill a lot of people that were againts him through that war and when he was ruling the country (search about Federico Garcia Lorca, he was an incredible writer with an awesome future, he was killed by Franco´s order). He was the dictator of Spain for a lot of years, he heelped Mossolini and Hitler on some ocasions, as a random fact, some says that when Hitler met Franco he said he would do anything to never spend again a minute with Franco. To end up this transit right lets say that we also had a lot of iconic stars like Marilyn or Elvis, they are literal icons even today.
Tumblr media
Pluto in Virgo - From 1956 to 1972
Like Virgo always does, Pluto in this sign tried to clean out the disasters of it's previous transit and put a little order to the chaos. On this transit appeared a lot of reforms and remodeling to clear up the situation and see what really works for population, after years of fear and chaos people were yearning for some social order and peace. The bad part about this... segregation and the start of cold war. Goverments tried to recollect information to use it againts other goverments, the race for the space and all the mechanichal improvements, but also there was a change in the population`s habits giving more importance to health and diet, recognizing that tools and resources that everybody used had toxic or harmful components, for many people with this placement bad aspected I've seen they have a weird but effective way of taking care of their body. Also there was a rise for careers related to health or mechanics through these years.
Pluto in Libra - From 1971 to 1984
This was a time for recognizing human rights and fight againts unjustice, society was involved in too many conflicts and this generation tried to redirect the focus to peace and diplomacy. New agreements related to marriage and divorce, in some countries divorce was illegal, so this also helped to break some toxic traits related to the expectations about marriage, in general there were new ways to understand realtionships. There was also a revalorization of art and recognition to some artist that were left aside. People started to unify as a collective to fight against the unfair and began to give more importance to equal rights, also to the beauty of nature like in Sempember of 1978, that year Quito, the capital of Ecuador became the first place to be into the World heritage.
Pluto in Scorpio - From 1983 to 1995
Our millennial generation! We have a lot to thank to this generation tbh. This Pluto transit appeared to break with many society taboos, making people emphathize with the ones who didn't had a voice before. In this transit people started to loose fear about death and sex, mostly for women who had been repressed the years before. Of course, there were sexual transmitions diseases but in this time people started to give it the proper importance to these kind of issues. Pluto is related to nuclear energy and in 1986 the world had to see Chernobyl and it's disastrous consequences, but remember too that many countries on those decades were making nuclear tests that also left terrible ressults for humanity. (if you like to there's a documentary on Netflix called 'dark tourist', in one of the episodes they go to a lake made out of an atomic explosion). As a random fact, through this transit appeared a lot of serial killers with sexual overtones.
Pluto in Sagittarius - From 1995 to 2008
How are you my fellows Sag Plutos? This transit came with massive existencial crisis where people stopped believing what others said it was good or bad, even more if that good or bad was written thousands of years ago. This generation learned to live life by their own philosophy instead of following religious beliefs, experience as a way of understanding. People from this generation are more open and prone to look for answers in different places because of the dissapointment with the previous beliefs systems. Through these years we can also see a decline in the main religions, people are not willing anymore to accept other's imposed truths without looking for the logic, but we have to say that it also brought religious radicalism. People from this generation are more open to new ways of experience spirituality and give human existence a meaning, this generation is open to things like meditation, astrology, chakras... The worst aspect of this transit would be that everyone wants to be heard but just a little are willing to listen.
Pluto in Capricorn - From 2008 to 2023
Well, this transit started hard with the global economical crisis of 2008, scandals about corruption in politics and banks, our sight of authority figures is not the same as before because all these scandals and the ones in the past, basicaly we don't fully trust our authority figures. People through this transit got a little obsessed about power, money and their social position but it also brought a lot of new jobs and ways of earning money and fame never seen before. Have you noticed how extremes has politics become lately? Also, public cancellations could have something to do with this transit? Like cancelling, somehow destroying (pluto) someone publicly ( Cap also rules our public image) Idk, let me know what you think about this because Capricorn is complex 🤔. Something curious about this placement is that people are trying to be their own bosses and work for themselves instead of working for others.
Pluto in Aquarius - From 1778 to 1798 (2023 to 2044 aprox)
Pluto is now on Aquarius, the last time it was there we had the French revolution, this year we have riots in France again. French revolution started because of unjustice and inequality, while the royalty were surrounded by luxury normal people were struggling to supply their basic needs, maybe a little like now?. Pluto also entered Aquarius in 2020 and we had a global crisis too. The good thing about this transit was that the century of the lights started with it, Pluto in Aquarius helped to develop critical sense and thinking, the circumstances made them focus on their unfair reality and how they could improve it for the common good. On 1791 Olympe de Gouges published the declaration of the rights of women as a response to the declaration of the right of men on 1789, defying the male supremacy of that time (she was a Taurus sun btw). We know what happened then, we'll see what it has for us now.
Tumblr media
Please, feel free to add any other historic event and their pluto's transit, I would love to know what you think.
Let me know if you would like to know more about long transit planets and its impact in society through history.
Thank you

American Snout Butterfly (Libytheana carinenta)
Distribution: Found from Argentina to the southern USA, including Mexico and the West Indies. Migrates to the eastern USA, as far north as the Great Lakes region, as well as to central California, southern Nevada and Colorado.
Habitat: Usually found in forest clearings and edges, brushy fields, thorn scrub and roadsides.
Diet: Adults feed on nectar; common hosts include dogbane, aster, dogwood, goldenrod, sweet pepperbrush, etc, with a preference for white or yellow flowers. Larvae feed on the young foliage of hackberry trees, especially the common hackberry tree.
Description: The American snout butterfly's nose is actually its mouthparts, called labial palps. These elongated mouthparts are used in camouflage, as the butterfly will rest with its head pointed downwards, its snout imitating the petiole of a dead leaf.
These butterflies are migratory. Their native range includes the majority of South and Central America, as well as the southern USA; they travel northwards, sometimes in such large numbers that they darken the sky. These migrations are thought to be triggered by droughts, which pose dangers for the butterflies in the form of parasitoids and limited food sources. Inversely, the presence of heavy rain usually prompts a large amount of egg-laying, causing populations explosions.

IRVA (International Remote Viewing Association, Alamogordo, New Mexico)
Ingo Swann was the discoverer and original developer of the remote viewing protocol. Already a widely-collected artist and an accomplished intuitive, Mr. Swann remote viewed the interior workings of a sophisticated quark detector in the physics department at Stanford University, the report of which attracted the interest of the CIA and led to the founding of the consciousness research program at SRI-International from which the military remote viewing program later sprang. Mr. Swann worked with Dr. Harold Puthoff at the SRI lab to create controlled remote viewing (CRV), which provides the foundation for the majority of remote viewing methods in use today, none of which has been able thus far to surpass it in effectiveness.
Mr. Swann will present a two-part lecture on the history and practice of remote viewing. His historical lectures, titled 'Remote Viewing Viewed from the Outside' and 'Remote Viewing Viewed from the Inside', promise to be exciting and informative.

Since the 1970s, the American secret service has been intensively researching the existence and possible use of paranormal techniques in intelligence gathering and psychological warfare. The result of years of US Government-funded research at the renowned Stanford Research Institute (SRI) is the technique of Remote Viewing. This technique makes it possible to recognize and describe in detail things, persons, events and places independent of local and temporal boundaries. Dozens of military personnel have been trained as Remote Viewers. The work of these PSI agents is documented in detail in this film. For the first time, Pentagon and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) senior officers, Stanford Research Institute (SRI) scientists and Remote Viewers talk about the amazing success of this secret military development.

In early April 1973, in an effort to emerge from the daily boredom of repetitive testing, Ingo Swann suggested that the he and the SRI team once in a while do something far out, something that might reintroduce a sense of adventure, excitement, and enjoyment.
The planet Jupiter was literally far out. NASA had earlier launched Pioneer 10 and 11 to fly-by that planet, and information telemetered back by the two crafts would undergo technical analyses. Information from Pioneer 10 would commence in September 1973.
The only real difference between Jupiter as a “target,” and mundane target objects in the next room, was its distance from Earth. But for Ingo Swann there was another difference. It would be exciting to try to extend one’s ESP to the planet, a form of remote viewing. Jupiter was more remote than the next room—and there might be a thrill of “traveling” in interplanetary space.

Are they seriously going to do interviews every single day for the next month? (It looks like they are doing press today as well, so are they working on weekends as well?)
And the few days they won’t do interviews they will be traveling across the world.
This sounds like too much…like, I can’t imagine them doing interviews on February 29th after 28 days straight of press…
That doesn’t sound healthy
I don’t think they work on weekends, they seem to now have time off till Mexico, probably do some press there ,they did 2 days of press in LA so far and then I assume a few days in Europe. But yeah with all the travelling is gonna be long, these press tours are draining

a timeline of major events leading up to and following the mormon rebellion
1839- the mormons, fleeing missouri, start their own super special theocratic city state of nauvoo
july 1844- having a super special theocratic city state culminates in its mayor-prophet-general being murdered
still 1844- after a struggle between different factions over succession, brigham young becomes the new president of the church and prophet. planning starts as to Where To Go and How
1846- the trip to utah starts and they winter in omaha
1847- HELL YEAH DESERET FOREVER BABY! time to establish a theocracy in the desert in that area that mexico owns on paper, but really, GOD owns it ;)
february 1848- control of deseret is officially transferred to the united states in the aftermath of the mexican american war
later 1848- young and his associates draft a petition to the US government for a territorial government headed by himself and others. they don't end up submitting it to the united states government, though, because of fears that a territorial government would not give them enough freedom. they will wait it out for either statehood or independence
1849- the government is declared as "the free and independent state of deseret" to remain so until the united states admits them as a state. which especially pre civil war would have given them a TON of leeway over what they're allowed to do. like keep a lot of their We're a Desert Theocracy With a Governor-President-Prophet in Charge!
1850- the us government doesn't care about your desert theocracy or the name you want to give it. you're the territory of utah and you're gonna LIKE IT! we'll let you keep your guy as governor though. i guess
1850-1851- non-mormons traveling to oregon and california winter in utah and have a Very Bad Time. people are not nice to them. the court system is BAD and the systems are rigged against the federal officers brought in to do these jobs.
brigham young tries to rally the different native american tribes in the region to his cause, because mormon theology teaches that they're also lost israelites. but he didn't consider any of their actual motivations or try to cater to those so beyond a few conversions and some fair weather friends who will work with anyone for the most money, he gets No Alliances TM
1852- polygamy is PUBLIC now! orson pratt let the rest of the world know that it's a thing we do and now we have to publicly defend it! ruh roh
1856- HEYOOO WE'RE DOING RELIGIOUS REVIVAL! right here! right now! you're confessing to sins! and you're confessing to sins! and YOU'RE confessing to sins! ones you probably didn't commit! heyooo come get your charismatic revivalism. time to atone for your sins with blood and then you'll get into heaven!
there were quite a few different recorded murders of mormons trying to leave at this time, including the famous parrish murders, where a father and one of his sons were killed trying to leave the territory. the other son escaped and ran to his uncle's, where he had to pretend nothing happened.
1857- mr. young you have been removed as governor of this territory, effective immediately.
brigham young: actually we are our OWN country none shall pass through our lands without a permit and we totally have talked to all of the native american tribes and they all will do exactly as i ask and i only hold them off as a gesture of goodwill ;) (this is not accurate! and we all know that!)
september 1857- this was the mountain meadows massacre. i'm not going to try to make a joke about the mountain meadows massacre because from around a hundred and twenty people traveling from arkansas to oregon were murder in cold blood AFTER they surrendered to the mormon militia. there isn't a single joke to be made here, and this event was covered up in various forms for a very long time.
the mormon militia burns and destroys US military supplies as the military escort comes with the new governor.
the church forces residents of the north and salt lake city to relocate south with the intention of destroying the settlements to make a statement. while they don't end up following through with the plan to destroy these homes, the forced relocation still happens.
when the military and the new governor arrives, the new governor decides to be The Lamest Stooge to Ever Lame. and basically lets brigham young tell him what to do and what to say, continuing a very similar line of power to what was already there. not to mention the presidential pardon that young and all involved got for most of the Illegal Dealings that they participated in that are known at the time.
the military isn't able to stay very long because the president has decided that accepting the "new governor" is basically enough, and with the looming threat of a proper civil war (which is just on the cusp of breaking out) there's not enough resources to expend on utah.
a judge tries very hard to uncover the truth of what happened at mountain meadows, which has been blamed entirely on native americans (only a few of which participated, all as free agents separate from a tribal affiliation) and he's not able to make things happen before the military is entirely recalled and along with that, any authority he had to make these things happen.
he DOES go on to help found nevada and take a large swath of territory out of brigham young's gaping maw, though, so that's. something.
i need to do more research from some additional sources but like. jesus CHRIST the... everything here. it's just so much
1877- brigham young finally drops dead and loosens his hold on the territory of utah

Cabsweek2023
Hello, everyone!
If you're here from the archive blog just know how much I appreciate you.
Cabs week is a three caballeros event week/prompt challenge that I am trying to make annual!
The dates have been changed if you saw the old post. The original timeline included the actual debut of the movie in Mexico, however, that places us squarely at Christmas which is a very busy time for a lot of people.
The dates are now Friday January 27th-Friday February 3rd, ending on the US release of the movie and squarely avoiding the holidays! (also starting on my best friend's birthday so happy early birthday, Lizard)
This means we'll be skipping Cabsweek2022 altogether! Whoops! #Cabsweek2023 it is!
Prompts are based on my Josepan ship playlist this time around because I am self indulgent:
Set in the Ducktales 2017 universe the loosely constructed narrative of this playlist follows Jose and Panchito's stay in Baia as they try to get noticed. Panchito, an unhappy artist who never gave up on the dream and Jose a lonely romantic trying to get back on his feet still clinging to an old college flame.
Day one: Down the Road/Dear Fellow Traveler
Day Two: There's No Love in February/Those Were the Days
Day Three: Moonshine/Come Along
Day Four: The Good Part/Renee
Day Five: Honeybee/Build Me Up Buttercup
Day Six: Baia/Sober Up
Day Seven: Walking Back to Happiness/ I Don't Want to Set the World On Fire
Day Eight: Isn't this a Lovely Day/Home.
I'll be hosting from here: @imnotgrimimjustagrumpyreaper so please remember to tag me in anything you may post! I look forward to seeing it
Dates are January 27th/February 3rd

FUN FACT FRIDAY!!! What’s one fun fact about you that you haven’t shared with us yet? 💜
Ooh, fun ask, thanks Susie!
Hmm...fun fact? I work in hospitality and one of the perks of my job is free resort stays. It's the only way my husband and I are able to travel as much as we do. We can also be reimbursed up to $250 a year for travel expenses, such as rental cars or flights.
Because of this perk, we're able to travel at least 2-3x a year. In 2022, we were actually in San Francisco and then 3 weeks later in Myrtle Beach. Coast to Coast in under a month!
We try to space travel out, but some years, PTO gets rearranged and it just happens we travel in back to back months. Happened in 2020 as well where we were in Vermont and 2 weeks later we were in Pheonix, Arizona😅
This year we have 3 trips planned. Southern California was in February, Maine is in June, and Colorado is in July.
For 2025, it's up in the air depending on if we can get back into IVF or not. But I do know we'll be back in Southern California, likely in October. It's a destination we try to get to every year. This was our 4th year.
Some states I'd still like to see are Washington, Oregon, New Mexico, Montana, Louisiana, Idaho, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
Thanks again for the ask, this was a fun way to start my Friday! 😊

We Need To Talk...
this post does not contain or condone "jet tracking"
Taylor Swift owns a Dassault Falcon 900. This type of jet burns approximately 267 gallons of fuel per hour. Burning jet fuel results in around 21 lbs of CO2 emission per gallon. 267*21=5,607 lbs of CO2 per hour.
Based on candids alone - which means she could have made additional trips that she wasn't photographed at - here is the amount of CO2 Taylor has been responsible for emitting from her jet use in the last year, working backwards from the writing of this post.
Tumblr media
Total = 1,055,830 lbs of CO2 full data below the cut
One of Taylor's representatives has claimed that Taylor purchased "more than double the carbon credits needed to offset all tour travel," but has not been transparent about the exact number. Regardless of how many offset credits she purchased, research points to these being basically useless. The Earth does not warm instantly in reaction to each ton of carbon dioxide, and the impact of CO2 can last thousands of years — much longer than any offset measures will last. As always, reducing air travel is the best way to reduce harm to the environment.
