Giant snowball fight headcanons (but it’s all of passione and they aren’t trying to kill each other)

Giorno: he didn’t make an alliance with anyone and no one really knows what they should expect from him, and if they should be scared or not. He built a snow fort to hide in and attack from, and his plan is to leave it when there are not many people left so that he might be able to uncover who the boss is.

Bruno: also doesn’t have an alliance with anyone, but isn’t gonna get any of his team out. Uses sticky fingers to avoid snowballs and detaches his arm to send them flying further. He hides in trees to ambush people when they aren’t expecting it.

Abbacchio: he was the first one out and willingly, and now he is just drinking wine and enjoying the peace and quiet.

Mista: used the pistols to send the snowballs wherever he wants. Was in an alliance with Narancia and Trish. He got out really fast by one of his own snowballs.

Narancia: used Aerosmith to see where the others were and ambush them. Somehow managed to catch things on fire. Got out quickly because he is silly. He wanted to get Fugo out, but couldn’t find him.

Fugo: is hiding.

Trish: the only one in her alliance still in because everyone is too afraid to get out the bosses daughter. Also her ability to make things soft has been useful in getting missed snowballs to bounce back on people.

Polpo: is in jail, so they got him out pretty fast.

Zucchini or whatever his name was: Got out really fast. Was in an alliance with Sale of course. Narancia took him out right after Abbacchio got out.

Sale: is still in because he has been making the snowballs freeze mid air before they reach him. Is very afraid of Bruno because he has been hiding in them trees.

Formaggio: is small.

Illuso: he got out really fast by his teammates. They were mad at him because he left his hair in the shower drain.

Prosciutto: is in an alliance with Pesci and Risotto. He wanted to use his stand, but Risotto didn’t want to have to deal with wrinkles and back pains.

Pesci: very scared, he built a fort for himself to help protect him from the scary snowballs.

Melone: Ghiacco got him out really fast because he was being annoying.

Ghiacco: this is his territory. He doesn’t even need to make snowballs, his stand can provide them. Might actually win this.

Risotto: he started out being a really scary opponent, being able to turn invisible and all. But now he is cold and wants someone to get him out but everyone is too scared to.

Squalo and Tiziano: they are partners and they are on a date. Scary opponents but a little distracted. Built a snow shark together. Now they are eating chocolate. Not out yet though.

Carne: out so fast they barely remember him being there.

Scary chocolate man: has sent several people to the hospital already. Needs to be stopped.

Secco: isn’t allowed to melt the ground and is sad because of it. Hasn’t gotten anyone out yet because he is too busy complaining about not being allowed to use his stand.

Doppio: no one knows this kid is part of passione, but they let him join the fight because he really wanted to. He got out in the middle and is now playing Mario kart at home.

Diavolo (the boss): everyone is aware that he is playing, but they don’t know what he looks like or where he is. But they can see he hasn’t gotten out yet. He is at home because Doppio got out and is playing Mario kart. Wins by default.

«Ferma la macchina.» Ante guardò il cellulare poi scrutò fuori dal finestrino mentre Rade accostava lungo il marciapiede.

«È questo il posto?» chiese Mario, voltando la testa indietro per guardarlo.

Quando la mattina aveva spiegato ai suoi due amici quello che stava succedendo e cosa aveva intenzione di fare nessuno dei due si era tirato indietro. Era felice che fossero lì, probabilmente da solo si sarebbe messo nei guai.

Emise un verso di approvazione e scese dalla macchina, attraversando subito la strada senza aspettare i due. I muscoli delle braccia cominciavano a indolenzirsi a furia di stringere i pugni per la tensione. Lo avrebbe fatto parlare, ma sperava di non perdere il controllo. Dopotutto era un calciatore di una delle squadre più importanti della serie A, non poteva permettersi di finire sui giornali per una cosa del genere, non voleva esporsi a quel tipo di circo mediatico né voleva compromettere la sua carriera.

«Allora che facciamo, lo pestiamo prima o dopo averlo fatto parlare?» Mario si stiracchiò e fece scrocchiare le dita, sghignazzando.

Ante accennò un sorriso. «Prima, durante e dopo.»

«Ragazzi, cerchiamo di non perdere la testa. Va bene?» Rade si guardò intorno. «Dov'è questo tizio?»

«Dentro al bar. Io entro, voi aspettatemi qui.»

Tutti e tre indossavano felpe scure e anonime, cercavano di passare inosservati. In quella zona della città c'era poco traffico e per le strade si aggirava un esiguo numero di ragazzi, qualcuno assiepato davanti al bar, altri seduti su gradini a bere e fumare.

Mario tirò su il cappuccio. «No, veniamo anche noi.»

«Non sarebbe meglio parlargli in un posto più appartato?» domandò Rade.

«Eccolo.» Ante fece un cenno del capo in direzione di Carmine. Era appena uscito dal bar, solo, e aveva preso la direzione opposta alla loro.

I tre si mossero insieme, agili, con gli occhi puntati sulla preda. Ante gli si accostò e lo spintonò in un vicolo. Aveva il cuore in gola, non era più sicuro di voler conoscere la realtà dei fatti. Però voleva dare una lezione a Carmine, voleva che capisse una volta per tutte di dover lasciare Corinna in pace. Questi, sorpreso, cercò di difendersi ma subito Mario gli fu addosso, bloccandogli le braccia.

Carmine curvò le labbra in un sorriso di scherno. «Guarda chi si rivede, e hai portato anche i tuoi amici zingari. Che cazzo vuoi?»

Ante lo fissò senza batter ciglio. «Perché non mi dici tu che cazzo vuoi da Corinna?»

«Io niente. Anzi, quella stronzetta mi ha stancato.»

«Ti ha stancato ma le giri sempre intorno. Cosa c'è, non riesci ad accettare il fatto che adesso sta con un altro?»

Carmine strinse gli occhi. «Non so cosa ti abbia detto, ma non mi scoperei quella ricciolina nemmeno se mi supplicasse in ginocchio di farlo.»

Lui serrò i pugni. «A cosa devo allora quelle gomme bucate?»

«Ah.» Carmine ridacchiò, cercando di divincolarsi dalla presa salda di Mario. «Quello è un regalino per Corinna.»

Il braccio scattò in avanti e le nocche affondarono nel volto di Carmine, un colpo secco e deciso, che centrò il setto nasale. Il sangue cominciò a uscire dalle narici, lui sputacchiò quello che gli era finito in bocca. «Figlio di puttana!»

«Cazzo, Ante! Andiamocene via, è pericoloso, se ci vedono siamo nella merda.» Rade gettò uno sguardo fuori dal vicolo, agitato e preoccupato dalla piega che stava prendendo la situazione.

«Rade, non rompere il cazzo» lo zittì Mario.

«Vattene se hai paura» rispose Ante, continuando a guardare Carmine negli occhi.

Rade borbottò qualcosa ma non si mosse.

«Abbiamo un problema. Corinna è la mia ragazza e io non tollero che altri le ronzino intorno, hai capito? Devi lasciarla in pace.»

Carmine sorrise, mostrando i denti sporchi di sangue. «Eseguo solo degli ordini.»

Mario tirò fuori dalla tasca un coltellino. La lama scintillò sinistra sotto le luci fioche del lampione. Lo puntò nel fianco di Carmine, scambiando un rapido sguardo con Ante. «Ci siamo stancati delle tue mezze risposte. Parla, o questa te la infilo nel rene.»

Carmine si irrigidì. Forse non si aspettava questo tipo di attacco e neanche Ante ma rimase imperturbabile.

«Io non ho fatto niente a Corinna, ho solo eseguito gli ordini del mio capo.»

«Che vuole da Corinna?»

Carmine ridacchiò e Mario premette la lama più a fondo. «Chi è il tuo capo? Chi cazzo è il tuo capo? Corinna è una escort?» sbraitò nell'orecchio di Carmine.

Ante impallidì un poco. Ci stava girando intorno, non voleva chiederlo direttamente ma Mario era andato dritto al punto. Trattenne il fiato.

«No, non è una escort. Se lo fosse stata non saremmo a questo punto. Sentite, quella ragazza si è infilata in un giro più grande di lei. E voi non potete farci niente.»

L'ansia abbandonò il corpo di Ante d'un colpo, trattenne un sorriso di sollievo. Una parte di lui in quelle ore di pensieri opprimenti si era sempre rifiutata di credere che Corinna potesse vendere il suo corpo per soldi e quella parte ora voleva gioire. Ma c'era ancora da capire tutto e lui doveva restare concentrato. Non era una escort e non era una ex di Carmine. «E allora che problemi ha con il tuo capo?»

«Soldi. Ha chiesto soldi al mio capo per sistemare i casini dei suoi genitori.»

Ante si trattenne dal tirare un altro pugno, questa volta contro il muro, per la frustrazione. Soldi? Tutti questi segreti per degli stupidi soldi? «Lo pago io il suo debito. Di quanto si tratta?»

Carmine sollevò le sopracciglia. «Povera ragazza, vero? Il padre morto ammazzato, la madre rinchiusa in una clinica... e tu sei il cavaliere dall'armatura scintillante che corre in suo aiuto. Non potrai mai ripagarlo.»

Arrivò a pochi centimetri dal suo volto e lo guardò truce. «Di quanto cazzo si tratta?»

Carmine scosse la testa e fece schioccare la lingua sotto al palato. «La tua amichetta ha fatto colpo sul grande capo, adesso lui la vuole e non si fermerà fino a quando non l'avrà avuta. Io gliel'ho detto, che le costava andare da lui e aprire le gambe? Invece no, fa la puritana e poi si fa scopare da uno zingaro come te.»

Ante lo afferrò per la gola e lo sbatté contro il muro. «Non ti permettere di parlare di lei in questo modo. Dì al tuo capo che Corinna non la deve toccare neanche con un dito, o lo faccio saltare in aria.» Si ripulì la mano dal sangue di Carmine sul pantalone e fece de passi indietro. «Lascialo» disse a Mario.

Carmine si tastò il naso rotto e con la mano spazzò via il sangue che aveva in faccia. «Questa me la paghi, zingaro di merda, figlio di puttana.»

«Non farti più vedere.»

Ante Mario e Rade uscirono dal vicolo. Ante si sentiva molto sollevato dal fatto che la sua ragazza non fosse stata una escort e che non avesse ceduto ai ricatti, ma era profondamente deluso perché non gli aveva parlato dei suoi problemi, non gli aveva detto niente di quello che stava passando e, cosa ancora più grave, non si era fatta aiutare da lui ma era andata a chiedere dei soldi a uno strozzino. Cosa credeva, che si sarebbe allontanato? Lui l'amava, cazzo! L'aveva amata sin dalla prima volta che aveva sfiorato le sue labbra, fin dal momento in cui aveva sentito il suo profumo e non ne aveva più potuto fare a meno.

«Si può sapere che ti dice la testa? Te ne vai in giro con un coltello?» Rade guardò Mario con gli occhi sbarrati.

Mario rise e tirò fuori il coltellino, facendolo scattare. «È finto, è di plastica» lo passò a Rade che se lo rigirò tra le mani. «Sembra vero, lo so, e ci ha fatto ottenere quello che volevamo. No?»

«Sì» rispose distrattamente Ante.

«Almeno sappiamo che Corinna non fa la prostituta.» Mario parlò con delicatezza, avendo capito quanto il pensiero che lei potesse essere una puttana lo avesse devastato.

«Sappiamo che è la brava ragazza che tutti credevamo. Si è solo trovata in un casino, ma adesso ci siamo noi, ci sei tu... la aiuteremo a uscirne. Perché hai quella faccia?» Rade afferrò Ante per un braccio, costringendolo a voltare il viso verso di lui.

Si sottrasse dalla stretta. «Perché non me lo ha detto. Non si è fidata di me, mi ha tenuto nascosta una cosa così grande. Che cazzo ci sta a fare con me?»

L'amico si passò le mani tra i capelli corti. «Ante, queste sono faccende delicate, magari...»

«Faccende delicate? Quindi cosa sono io per lei, niente?» sbottò, appoggiandosi con le braccia al tettuccio di una macchina. Lanciò un'occhiata alle nocche arrossate che cominciavano a fagli male. «Hai sentito che ha detto quel coglione? Che sua madre è in una clinica. Non mi ha detto nemmeno questo.»

Mario si accostò alla macchina. «Che ne dici se ti accompagniamo da lei? Così ne potete parlare.»

«No» disse Ante categorico. «Voglio stare da solo, devo riflettere.»

Aveva ignorato i suoi messaggi per tutta la giornata e aveva intenzione di continuare a farlo fino a quando non avrebbe deciso cosa fare.
