Question for y'all
Hey everyone ! This isn't a fandom related post, but more like a question, or survey I guess ? Here's the thing : I'm a member of the committee of a manga convention. I've submitted a project that got accepted and that I'm handling, and I'd like people's help / opinion.
The idea is a "silent room". If you've already done manga / videogames / comics / etc / all kind of conventions, you know it can be very, very loud. As a neurodivergent person with auditory processing issues, I know it's a real struggle. Sometimes it leads to a lot of anxiety, or even panic attacks. That's why I wanted to put a "safe space" in a convention, where you go to just be in silence, or calm down, or catch a break. As in, not to eat loudly, not to talk with people out loud, you get it.
Now, the convention is in the middle of February, and I have a few ideas to arrange the room, which is a school like auditorium (see picture). So, I'm asking you people, manga fans that go to conventions, or that don't because they know it'll make you too anxious, what can the "silence room" have to make you feel better ?
I was thinking, for example, noise canceling headphones. We have a budget, but it's not very big, so I'm mostly looking for "free" things (or cheap, like cardboard, you know).
So yeah, if you have any idea of what you would want in that, please send me a DM, or an ask (anonymous or not), or comment, or anything really (I've got discord if you wanna chat or sum).
Please, reblog as much as you can so I can have many ideas to help the anxious / neurodivergent people in the community <3

sometimes while i think about that while a lot of adults did not treat me very well as a kid i also get a lot of 'in hindsight this person was so good to me and i didnt even realize it until now' as an adult. today i was thinking about how the first anime convention i ever went to was when i was 10 and i asked the man working the manga cafe what manga was/what a good place to start was (because the con was very overstimulating for me and i had gotten lost) and he asked how old i was before recommending yotsuba and asking if i wanted any water or something to eat. its really simple but theres a lot of bad things that couldve happened or he could've been careless in his recommendation, but instead yotsuba has remained one of my favorite manga for years, and probably a large portion of why i continue to read manga as an adult... i think adults who try to involve kids in the world safely/kindly even in little ways make so much more of a difference than they ever really know.

okay okay okay one more dungeon meshi thought
I keep seeing people saying Falin is "better at social cues" than Laios. Y'all she's just quiet. 😭 She just keeps her mouth shut. 😭😭 Girl was proposed to, said "let me think about it," and then did not even tell her own brother. She doesn't know what's going on either she's just quieter about it!!! 😭😭😭

What if Terence D'Arby was in the Jojolands
Who do you guys think each of them would main in mario kart (my headcanons under the cut)
Jodio - Shy Guy (specifically the dark blue version)
Lowkey a pro at this game. Likes to challenge himself in time trials and knows all the best cart combinations. If there is a shortcut on the track, he WILL take it (and will almost always be successful). Actually enjoys Rainbow Road (the real reason for his psychopath diagnosis).
Dragona - Pink Gold Peach (I could see them picking Daisy too)
Just there to have a good time tbh. At least most of the time, because every now and then when they're doing particularly well their competitive streak kicks in, and trust me – once they get into it, they get REALLY into it (cross them at your own risk). Favorite track is Cheep Cheep Beach.
Paco - Bowser
He thinks gaming is dumb and a waste of time (definitely not because he sucks at it). On the rare occasion he does get convinced to play, he keeps bumping into walls and other players (it doesn't help that he picks one of the heaviest characters in the game). Known for notoriously running into banana peels. Gaming sessions usually end in him "inviting" the other players to the gym.
Usagi - Luigi
Relates to Luigi on a personal level for being the underappreciated helper of the group. He's actually quite good at the game. His aim is freakishly accurate and he loves to hoard items to target other players (for unknown reasons they seem to hit everyone but Dragona). Similarly to Jodio, he takes shortcuts almost every chance he gets, but unlike Jodio, it doesn't always go so well. Also probably likes Baby Park like the freak he is.
Charmingman - Dry Bones
Used to play with Mauka a lot, so he's surprisingly good, and can get quite competitive too. Drives solely on bikes, which give him some good ol' maneuverabilty to avoid all those damn banana peels Usagi keeps throwing around. Secretly loves the music tracks and sometimes listens to them while riding his bike irl, imagining himself to be in a race. Favorite item is Boo.

okay but the intimacy and trust of letting your lover attend to your personal grooming is something soooo magical to me
letting them shave your pubic hair, your legs spread wide on the side of the bathtub while they’re kneeling in front of you.
when they offered to help you out you felt embarrassed and flustered but undeniably thrilled by the level of attention something like that takes. the sight of their narrowed eyes and the tip of their tongue poking out of their mouth in concentration quickly takes you from flustered to hot. your glance down at them grows heavy and arousal beads out of your spread cunt, diluting the shaving cream enough it runs between your thighs.
if they notice your arousal they only smirk at it, mixing it with the shaving cream and spreading it over your lips. precise, careful strokes of a razor everywhere you usually make them performed by the person loves you, knows you, sees you the most.
by the time they reach for the shower head to rinse you off, you’re already squirming and the warm water hitting your clit makes you moan aloud.
“aww, did you like that?”
the clean you off, everything running down the drain. your eyes roll back in your head when the pressure of the water is replaced with the press of warm lips against your tender bundle of nerves instead, back arching. lips kiss you, fingers spread you wider, a tongue laps at your freshly shaven skin like the soft flesh of a ripe peach.
