(bonus if poor Wukong, Tang, and Pigsy are having to duck from the occasional fire ball the fire demon throws their way)

"Can I go in yet?!"

"No!"

"...can I go in now?"

"No!" Red Boy grabbed another blanket and considered his pillow palace. "It's not ready yet!" The palace needed to be perfect for his pretty boy! His father had made sure he knew nests had to be perfect for their perfect mates!

"It looks great to me!" Qi Xiaotian said, munching on the strawberries they had been given.

"Yeah!" Long Xiaojiao whined, stomping her little foot. "Let us see!"

Red shook his head furiously. "No!" He grabbed a few more blankets and pillows. "I wanna make it perfect!"

"Hey, kids-" Ugh. And now this guy! Sun Wukong grinned at them all. "Let Red finish his blanket fort." The two kids whined and, much to his horror, tears beaded up in his pretty boy's eyes. "C'mon, we have more-"

He couldn't help but form a fireball, throwing it. Wukong pulled back with a yelp, allowing the fireball to smolder on the doorway. "GO AWAY!" After a pause of adjusting blankets and pillows, he couldn't help the need to correct. "And it's a palace!"

"Can I go in yet?!"

This again? "No!"

"...can I go in now?"

Red held up a hand and pulled on the last blanket. There we go! Now it was done! "Pretty boy first!"

Xiaotian let in a whoop as he jumped to his feet, rushing to where Red held the door. "Thank you Red!" he squealed before darting in. "XIAOJIAO, IT'S SO COOL IN HERE!" Before he could say a word, Xiaojiao darted inside.

Well, at least the palace was perfect.
