Oktoobris 2022. a pakuti kinnisvaraportaalis KV.EE müügiks 7637 korterit. Aastataguse ajaga võrreldes on korterite müügipakkumiste arv suurenenud 31% võrra. Aastatagusega võrreldes on korterite müügipakkumisi 1822 võrra rohkem. Müügipakkumiste arvu suurenemine ei ole hindadele mõju avaldanud. || I'd like to think that back in the ancient era, Estonia went by the names of the ancient counties and didn't actually have one proper unified name (at least not himself, others would of course call him something.)

It would go well with how in present day Finland and Latvia have pretty unique names for Estonia, that aren't as strange or out of nowhere as you may think.

Finland's name for Estonia "Viro" originates from the county name Virumaa, that even today exist as 2 counties, Lääne- and Ida-Virumaa. Simply west and east.

Latvia's name for Estonia "Igaunija" originates from the ancient county name Ugandi, which is now present day Võrumaa, Tartumaa, Põlvamaa and Valgamaa.

I imagine that with Votia he went by as Virumaa too (at least back then, whatever the present day Votian name may be could have easily been influenced by others, same with Livonian)

With Livonia, because of geographically being the closest and apparently there having even been contacts between the Livonians and specifically people of present day Pärnumaa, Estonia would have been known as Sakala, possibly Läänemaa and Saaremaa too.

And with Curonia, because of how the Oeselians aka Estonians of Saaremaa were viking buddies, he was likely known as Saaremaa.

Crispy cold morning, wild nature of Estonia

The best thing about having a local friend is you don't have to do as much research as you would when visiting a country. It was pretty exhausting after a month of travelling around Europe, so when I got to Estonia, I told my friend, "Show me whatever, take me wherever..." Her: You have to experience Estonian sauna. After sitting in the warm sauna,  you jump into the freezing lake. Naked. Also her: I will whisk you with birch leaves. It stings but it's good. ..... The first written records of the sauna date back to the 13th century in Northern Estonia. The custom is refreshing and invigorating as ever and best enjoyed in good company, surrounded by nature. In contrary to the perhaps alarming description, ‘whisking’ is a healthy exfoliation with birch twigs and an integral part of the authentic Estonian sauna tradition. The many sauna benefits include stress relief and weight loss. Estonians simply love the sauna, and you are bound to find one sizzling in almost every summer cottage, spa and country lodge.
