an idea I came up with:
Shawn and Kelly are a pair of Skychaser centaur bodyguards who primarily work on space habitats. Hruh is a middle-aged pygmy avian dun who has hired the two to protect them during their travels.
They become friends.

For my birthday,I got this darling.. Antu Dreamlike Tea Party from Penny's Box ,a baby bjd centaur
So...blind boxes. A plague on earth. Especially if they have to be bought online with proxies. I don't like bind boxes,and I often end up just sculpting the ones I like myself,or looking for an opened box to buy. However, sculpting only works for fixed figures,I can't sculpt a bjd(yet),and I kinda like all of them,so it wouldn't be too bad regardless of which I got,and I decided to take the gamble
I wanted Field or Memory the most. I don't like the Super Hidden Wish (I like it ,but.... it's a bit too sugary? Doesn't really fit the Centaur theme, it'd be fine for a human girl in my opinion) or the General Hidden Secret much, but I don't have the luck for a super rare chaser,so I was sure I wouldn't get them(and even if I did,my mom loves them so I'd just give it to her). Now,the ones I liked least (but still loved quite a lot) were Sweet Dream and Fantasy. So I assumed I'd get these and spent a lot of time convincing myself that they're absolutely perfect too. But then I remembered that these are the product displays,aka poster girls. So ...I probably won't get them either. Meaning I'll either get Neon or Thought.

Rip,even though I bought an actual blind box, I didn't get to open the sealed box,customs opened and resealed it...as they always do :")
When I opened the box to see the red hooves and tail and wings,I was exhilarated, because red is my favourite colour! Which is great but......
THEY LOOK SO SIMILAR NOOOOO
My mom looked at the photos of the rest on the box , especially Thought and said "white dress!" and I remembered....
I have a little obitsu white dress that doesn't fit any doll or figure I have: too wide for nendoroids/kelly/chelsea, too short for bigger dolls which it does fit,and it turns out it's almost the same measurements(a little shorter than) as Neon's dress so.....
!!!!!!
I made the cherry bag because the one that had come with the dress was way too tiny. I named her Cheri, as in Mon Cheri
Honestly? I couldn't be happier. For someone who loves red as much as I do,I was a bit disappointed at first, because of how similar she and Bun were looking. But with the white dress and cherry bag? I love her even more than Memory and Field,this is THE best outcome. I love her so much!

OK here’s a ramble that I didn’t think I’d be rambling about why is there only like one troll in trolls that has tits and it’s Kelly Clarkson. I didn’t notice this before but I was looking at trolls content because I was thinking about trolls ninja turtles and then I noticed every female troll has like a flat chest except Kelly Clarkson. And Kelly Clarkson is a centaur, so why I looked at all the other centaurs, and they got no chests on them either. Neither does any other female character in the entire series. Why does Kelly Clarkson get boob privilege?

OK here’s a ramble that I didn’t think I’d be rambling about why is there only like one troll in trolls that has tits and it’s Kelly Clarkson. I didn’t notice this before but I was looking at trolls content because I was thinking about trolls ninja turtles and then I noticed every female troll has like a flat chest except Kelly Clarkson. And Kelly Clarkson is a centaur, so why I looked at all the other centaurs, and they got no chests on them either. Neither does any other female character in the entire series. Why does Kelly Clarkson get boob privilege?

Scene Report: Cobrafest 2023
Tolono, Illinois is a small village roughly 10 miles south of Champaign and/or Urbana. Matt Talbott, guitarist/singer for the band Hum, set up shop in town running Earth Analog Studios and a tar paper shack drinking establishment, the Loose Cobra.
The bar books bands, with Matt's preferences running to "Rush, Blue Oyster Cult, Waylon Jennings, and Kyuss." A couple of times a year, Matt sets up a stage in the parking lot next to the bar with an impressive sound rig and tiki lights and invites some of his favorite bands to play. And those bands are inevitably HEAVY. Fall 2022 was Okstoner Fest.
This past Saturday, July 8, was Cobrafest. Starting at 4:30 pm the lineup consisted of Nectar, Sweet Cobra, Mutt, Djunah, Terminus Victor, Centaur, Dibiase, and Cloakroom. I got things to do, so to my regret, I did not get down to see Sweet Cobra. I strongly recommend their recent album Threes, though.
Centaur is a trio Matt Talbott formed in 2002 when Hum was on hiatus. My old Cargo Chicago co-worker (and Chambana scene veteran from 16 Tons) Jim Kelly drums and Derek Niedringhaus plays the electric bass guitar. It's been a while since Centaur released any music and I've seen Matt play songs a lot like the Cobrafest set. The man-horse band shares a heaviness with Hum, and I detected a taste of drawn-out psych a la Spacemen 3 in the set. Lots of inner space is expressed via reference to outer space in the lyrics.
Djunah is the Chicago-based duo of guitarist/singer Donna Diane and drummer Jared Karns. They held the big stage well, between Diane's fluid heaviness and Karns' energetic working of the complete drum kit. Like Sweet Cobra, Djunah melds a lot of different hardcore and metal-derived genres into a flowing, sometimes jarring but coherent flow.
I saw Cloakroom at Loose Cobra some time ago and was very pleased when they released the Dissolution Wave EP. It was a significant expansion of the trio's sound into more textured and thematic sounds. I love it when a band pushes its parameters. Doyle Martin brought a box full o' effects to Tolono and it never sounded like he was stomping for stomping's sake. A friend commented that Cloakroom was a "throwback" that night, which I interpreted as some kind of Pink Floyd reference. Well, I hate that shit but I appreciate the trio's sonic explorations AND their commitment to impact. My hopes for their performance were high and they were met.
I was also impressed by the healthy turnout. I observe/complain that the Chambana music scene is dominated by what I call Ken Burns Adjacent kinds of music - bluegrass, alt-country, jammy, and other derivations that, however well played, don't do much for me. It was great to see folks turn out for unrepentant, loud rock music. Even if it's just to set up the camping chair, drink some beer, and hang.
