Suggestion for your Kaysanova playlists
Mashrou’ Leila are a Lebanese band with an openly gay singer, my favorite songs are Djin, 3 Minutes, Falaykon, Tayf, and Maghawir. The songs respectively mean Genie/Gin (play on words), Let it Be, Spectrum, and Commandos/Militants. They’ve done Arabic covers of Toxic (I can’t find it but its out there) and Get Lucky.
Tamino is an Egyptian/Lebanese singer from Belgium, he sings in English though, his songs Habibi, Indigo Night and Persephone have that tragic Egyptian music vibe. His cover of I Bet You Look Good On the Dancefloor is pretty great.
Faouzia is a Moroccan-Canadian, Tears of Gold, You Don’t Know Even Know Me and Born Without a Heart are pretty epic. She did a collab with Kelly Clarkson in Moroccan Derja called I Dare You.
Najoua Belyzel is a Egyptian/Moroccan who sings in French, her song Gabriel lends itself to both a religious/queer reading since she sings about being in love with an angel who must choose between her and God (i.e.her or another man), other greats are Comme toi and Je fermes les yeux.
Some fun fusions are Egyptian singer Sherine did an Arabic/English duet with American rapped Nelly for Just A Dream. Jason Derulo doing Talk Dirty with Maya Diab.
Nancy Ajram is a Lebanese singer with some great Arabic pop songs like Ah W Noss, Ya Tabtab, Ma Tegi Hena, Ool Tani Keda, and Akhasmak Ah. They roughly mean Don’t Be Too Sad About It, I Comfort, Why Don’t You Come Over, Say That Again, and I Hold a Grudge but I Won’t Leave You.
Abdel Halim is a classic Egyptian singer I imagine Joe enjoying, my favorites are Ahwak (I Love You) and Gana El Hawa (Love Came to Us)
You can probably find most of these on Spotify :)

for Áine: 9, 22, 31
For Énia: 3, 18, 20
For Smiley/Gloomy: 38, 21
And just for fun, 12 for Limbo 😂
And for you! Pick a question (A-J) and do it for your favorite OC(s) ^^
Ooooo!!! This is gonna be fun!!!! :D
Áine:
9- do they swear? Do they remember their first swear word? Yes she swears. She tries to keep them light around the younger ones but if under extreme emotions will curse. She doesn't remember her first curse word but she's pretty sure it was when Popee threw a knife at her.
22- how does jealousy manifest in them? She gets emotional and clingy. If she's in a relationship with them she'll hug onto them to show that she's theirs but if their not in a relationship and she's getting jealous she'll get self depreciating and basically act like 'well they might be happier with them anyways'
31- who are they most glad to have met? Papi. Even though she hates him leaving Popee, Keda, and her alone she's greatful he saved her from dehydration in the desert.
Eniá:
3-how do they put themselves to bed? Eniá barely goes to sleep on his own accord. It's usually by partying too hard or getting knocked out/killed. When he does willingly go to bed he tends to daydream or sing to go to sleep.
18- what embarrasses them? It's hard to embarrass him but getting lifted or being tickled behind his ear flusters him greatly.
20- how would they explain romantic vs platonic love? "Love is like a drink. Platonic love is like soda, tea, coffee, juice and water. Calming and comforting and warms your insides. Romantic love is like alcohol and energy drinks! Exciting and feels amazing in my blood! But of course it's not for everyone! Soda and Juice is good too! Now DRU--"
Smiley/gloomy:
38- what memory do they revisit the most often? Smiley: the first time he made someone laugh while performing at the Zurkus
Gloomy: baking Eepop a birthday cake and seeing her smile
21- why do they get up in the morning? Smiley: to make someone smile!
Gloomy: to try. To not have others get worried.
Limbo 12: how do they deal with an itch in a place they can't quite reach?
LMFAOOO okay this is a cute one!!! If Limbo is about alone and has the itch, Limbo will make whiny noises and slap a restrained sleeve on the spot. Even tries using feet to no avail. If the hands are free Limbo will scratch and try to rip the skin off to reach it.
But if there is someone around Limbo would try to get them to scratch it.
Oooo free space!!! Hmmm
I'll choose B for Áine!
B- what inspired you to create them?
Well it was when I first got into Popee The Performer!
I had became friends with some amazing wonderful people and they had OCs for the fandom! I was always weary about OCs but I wanted to join in the fun! So I decided to make my OC with a tiktok challenge where music chooses your OC. The music created Áine's look and personality and then I decided I wanted to touch on my Irish roots so I made her a fae! Her name is actually Irish too!
Thank you thank you thank you so much for this ask I had so so so much fun answering this!!! I love asks and this was great!!
Asks are still open!!

Pharaoh and Reincarnated Queen’s adventures pt. 9
Yami was doing his best to look at what she was showing. He could tell she liked music from what she was showing him.
"You like a lot of music Britt." Yami said
"Well some of these are my favorite to sing along with." Britt admitted
"you sing?" Yami asked
She nod while shrugging it off. After too long they were walking again. Yami was looking over the cards he got while they walked. Britt smiled walking beside him. Behind was Hathor and Yugi who more or less watched them. Hathor was watching Britt smiling while talking.
'She always smiles even when things were bad. People back home were so cruel she'd come home with bruises. People could be cruel but she would always say people will change. I've protected her since the first time it happened.' Hathor thought
Soon the group went to a shop where they were all sitting as they ordered shakes. Britt remembered meeting her friends there and getting quite the lecture.
'So what do I do?' Britt thought
"Well I think this has gone well so far." Hathor said
"Yes it does.. But.." Britt started to form her words. "I think we should split up."
Hathor, Yugi, and Yami were a bit shocked at her words. They wondered what was going through her mind knowing how she'd been from the beginning.
"Are you sure Britt?" Yugi asked
"I am. Yami and I should head out on our own. We need answers and so maybe the museum might have something." Britt said
Yugi nod understanding and soon after leaving the place they parted ways or so Britt thought. Hathor convinced Yugi to follow behind to see what they would be up to.
'I have a bad feeling about this.' Yugi thought
Yami could sense that Yugi had a thought but since they were not that close to each other he couldn't tell what it was. Britt walked beside him as she put her arms behind her head.
"My time in Domino will be up before I know it. Tournaments take up so much of the time sometimes." Britt said
"Well do you like it here in Domino??" Yami asked
Britt nod "I do." Britt answered
Domino city had gave her new friends ones she didn't want to Lose but she knew that she would have to go back sometime. Part of her was sad but then she remembered her dad promising her to return to Domino city if she liked it.
"So what's your life like back home?" Yami asked
"Hm, Sorta average. Except that visit from a man robes when I was ten. I do like doing things the old way then again I don't have a license." Britt said
"A license?" Yami asked
"Uh right you must not know." Britt said and then she thought about something.
"Something wrong?" Yami asked
Britt shook her head "no not really..my birthday is in a few days. No big deal." She said
"How old will you be?" Yami asked
"sixteen" Britt said
Soon they arrived at the museum, Britt sighed wondering if she was ready for this. If she was ready to know about the past even though she'd denied it most of her life.
'I'm here there's no going back now.' She thought
They walked up the stairs With Hathor and Yugi still trailing behind. Hathor was surprised Britt was really doing this of her own free will. Yugi though knew Yami would tell him later so he convinced Hathor to not go any farther.
Inside they walked for some time looking at artifacts. She smiled but one caught her attention as she walked over to it. She slanted her head a bit seeing the image reminded her of Yami but there was a difference.
'why does this look familiar?' Britt thought and she skimmed the writing on it.
'Pharaoh Rei?' she thought
Yami came over to where she was standing as he seen it. The look on her face as she was looking at it. He read the name like she did and something about the name Rei seemed familiar to him.
After so long they both went looking at other artifacts seeing two more that caught their attention. One with the names Kamari and Keda and the next with a missing name.
'Why would one have a missing name?' She thought
Soon though the eye came on Yami's head leading him to stairs which they both went down. Britt wondered where they were going. The closer they were walking down the stairs she was feeling a pull herself.
'what is this strange feeling?' She thought
When they walked in a room they seen two tablets. One that held an image of both Yami and what looked like Seto Kaiba with Dark Magician and Blue eyes white dragon on it. The other tablet held a picture that looked like Britt and her Goddess of the Nile.
"What.. What is this?" Britt said
"Not sure but that looks like you and your Goddess Britt." Yami said
Britt nod looking at the stone then she looked at the other one.
"That looks like you." Britt said
Suddenly a woman came in the room and behind her was Zoey. The two hadn't noticed right away but then Britt looked back.
"We're not alone." Britt said
Yami looked back seeing The woman and Zoey. He wondered what part Zoey played in all of this.
"Welcome My Pharaoh and Queen. I am Ishizu." Ishizu said
Zoey stood beside Ishizu and smiled at Britt. "It's time Britt." Zoey said
Britt and Yami looked at each other before they looked at the two in front of them.
"Kaiba will be holding a tournament. There is an evil coming only you both can stop.." Ishizu said
"But not as you are now. Between now and the tournament you need to get your bond back." Zoey said
Britt wondered how they were going to do that when they had so little to go on. Seeing that Zoey knew more than she was letting on made her wonder what Zoey wasn't telling her.
"Zoey what are you leaving out? We were drawn to a few displays. Whose Rei Kamari and Keda?" Britt asked
Zoey sighed "your children." Zoey said
Britt didn't know weather to be happy or sad about all of this. Part of her felt sad like she missed something and part of her was happy from what she seen.
"And the one with no name?" Britt asked
"Named after his father. Sorry couldn't make it easier for you." Zoey said
Britt nod but was quiet, Yami wasn't sure what to say about all of this.
Zoey pulled out a small papyrus paper and gave it to Britt. Britt took it looked at it. Yami looked over seeing the paper was a bit faded but the image could be made out which shocked them both.
'That is impossible. This can't be real.' Britt thought
"This was found in Valley of the Queens Britt. In your tomb. Orders had been made that it would be found there clearly. So besides the tablets this is the only other thing that holds secrets to your past." Zoey said
Britt was still in shock as she carefully put her finger over the images. Looking carefully she seen the part that was Yami and when her eyes looked at the woman in the picture she couldn't deny the likeness of seeing herself.
'The ones around us..they look so young. Merely children who still needed parents.' Britt thought
Zoey sighed a bit "that picture was made before the final battle." Zoey said
After much time taking all this in they left the museum. Zoey had let Britt keep the picture as a reminder and in hope it would help bring them together. Yami and Britt met up with Yugi and Hathor as they went about doing things ordinarily and Britt had secured the picture with her deck.
"You found out something?" Hathor asked
Britt shrugged a bit "Yeah sorta, it was a lot." Britt said
Hathor and Yugi looked at each other finding that something had to be missing if Britt wasn't wanting to tell them what was going on. Hathor made a mental note to go with Yugi to see what it was all about. For the rest of the double date they'd spent some time hanging out together. When the date ended the four of them were in front of the game ship.
"Well we are back here." Yami said and Britt nod.
Yugi and Hathor were talking distracting each other and when they looked back they seen Britt and Yami close in a kiss. Hathor was unsure at first but she smiled seeing that britt wasn't fighting.
Later, the four of them went back out. Yami and Britt went to where a group of people were meeting, Yami held Britt's hand as they walked seeing old rivals and ones they knew were probably competing in Kaiba's tournament.
'So we really are here.' Britt thought
Meanwhile Yugi and Hathor had gone to the Museum to find out what was going on there. Zoey had met them half way seeing them come in.
"I expected you two would visit." Zoey said
"What is going on? Zoey if you know something you have to tell us." Hathor said
Zoey sighed a bit "The Pharaoh and Queen have reunited, they must find their way back to each other and form the bond they had 5,000 years ago." Zoey said
Hathor didn't buy the whole thing she knew there was more on this then what she was saying. "What are you leaving out?" Hathor demanded
Zoey sighed a bit "You, you will find your husband of the past as well....but the prince.." Zoey said
"What Prince?" Hathor asked
"Their prince, their first born son is destined to return. When is depending on them but he will be useful in the coming fight." Zoey said
"First born son...wait a minute my husband of the past?" Hathor asked
"I can't say no more Hathor. Rei's return will bring them closer and help bring their bond. Something they need before the ultimate battle which is far away." Zoey said then left.
Yugi was in shock and he wondered what they were going to do with all this information.
Back at the place where Britt and Yami were walking seeing all the competition Britt relaxed against a pole. She looked around then looked at Yami with a smile. He smiled too as she pulled him close to her and kissed him as he kissed her back.
"Oh Yugi~ There you are" They heard a woman say which made Britt let him go.
They separated and looked where the voice came from, seeing Mai as she was happy and walked over to them.
"It's Mai Valentine." Yami said
"I know you guys missed me." Mai said
"It's a shame we don't hang out more often then seeing each other during tournaments." Britt said
Mai reached out and pulled Britt to her wrapping an arm around her neck "Yes it is, isn't it." She said
Britt wasn't all thrilled with this and she looked up at Mai "you're looking Snazzy today, Britt. Is this a date?" Mai asked
"Uh well We...yes." Britt said
Mai let her go as she stood back beside Yami. Yami put an arm around her.
"So you two are entering as a couple. How cute. Sooner or later though you'll be rivals." Mai said
"We know." Britt said
Soon though Kaiba's blimp showed up as Kaiba was on the screen telling the rules. Britt and Mai didn't like hearing they had to give the winner the rarest card In their deck. Though sign ups were one week away which gave them time.

Look Back - Keda Rui feat IA
Happy birthday IA!
I saw this new song in my feed and realized keda rui FINALLY opened captions and the lyrics weren’t complicated so I thought “why not” and translated it :) you might not see the captions yet, so if you go in the editing section and click the “Looks Good” button for me that would be great!!
English
The simple act of living making me depressed But even so, having days where I could smile Having met you during the course of such a daily life I wonder how much time has passed since then
Looking back like this, it really was just a few years and a bit But it also feels like such a long time we were together It makes me feel a little strange
You don't age And I grew up a little more You don't age And I gain another year
I love your voice If I carry those unchanging feelings with me That's enough for me That's what I believe now Now, that's what I believe
The simple act of living boring me to tears But even so, occasionally devoting myself to something or other Having met you during the course of such a daily life I wonder how much time has passed since then
Looking back like this, it really was just a tiny piece Of a life which you can't call all that short But I'm living now, just like this And one reason I am is probably you
You won't smile So there's no way you'll have words to speak to me You don't age And I gain another year
I love your song If I carry those unchanging feelings with me That's enough for me I'm nothing without you Without you, I'm nothing
No matter how bitter and sad my days are Someday they'll end, just like a song
No matter how sweet and lively my days are If they'll someday end just like a song
I think I want to turn them into a song Just like someone's singing for me So just a little more
I love your voice If I carry those unchanging feelings with me That's enough for me That's what I believe now Now, that's what I believe
I love your song If I carry those unchanging feelings with me That's enough for me I'm nothing without you Without you, I'm nothing

Has the night winds down and the events of the meeting leave Najats mind for the night, she lays down in bed next to her love as he thanks her for his necklace "of course, I hope you like it"
Dakota grins and gives her another kiss on the top on nose. His fingers run along the delicate wire work and the large, cool stone. “Oh course I do.” His soft grin grows wider. “And it was only hidden under the pillow this time. That’s progress.”
Najat chuckles "That's good, I'm glad you like it." Her face lights up with joy. "How did you find it anyway? I thought it would've happened when you went to bed?" She takes one of his hands and traces along his palm with her finger.
“Well, I did notice you sneak back into the wagon before the party,” he answers. The soft touch to his skin makes him shiver, just slightly. “So I did have a feeling there might be something hiding in the bed. Or the bags. Or near animals.”
"I was afraid of that, even thought you had caught me" she giggles and runs her finger up along his arm "I thought about the bags but I wanted you to find it sooner then that" she smiles one of the biggest smiles she has ever smiled "maybe next time though"
“I’ll be sure to keep an eye out, then.” He watches her smile and feels like a small weight hanging in his chest has been lifted. Dakota runs his thumb along the ridges on the side on her face, the ones that frame her smile. “You seemed to have a good time tonight,” he says quietly. Though it was more that she seemed to be in her element, singing and laughing rather then down in the mud and the blood they had been trapped in.
"Keda's family does know how to throw a party. I had a lot of fun." She traces different shapes on his arm, letting herself be happy but it was easy to do that that today.
He chuckles. “Garundi are pretty good at that. When things get... calmer” that felt like the best wording “I’ll take you to the Cottonfield family gatherings. We’re not as big” especially now “but still know how to have a good time.”
"That would be so fun! Uunnless I embarrass myself" she laughs at herself "we might just have to make time, I have a feeling thing might not.. calm down for awhile" 'at least a year' she thinks to herself
An easy smile stays on his face, but a pinprick of guilt presses into Dakota’s chest. “When we get the time to do a sending Maka and my mother, I’ll see if she’s been able to check in with anyone.” His human family had always been distant, perhaps terrified to get close to Kane or his uncles. But they had always been kind when his mother had taken them for visits. But how many could be left, with the fields baring their name scorched and drowned? Really, after all was said and done, how much living family remained if either clans? He supposed there was always Sothis but... it had been so long since the two parts of that family had spoken.
"We could do it in the morning if you want, If it wasnt so late we could probably do it now" She had hoped Maka and Mirage could find their family. "You just let me know, okay?" She leans her forehead against his. Najat could remember when her moms parents would come over while her dad was gone but those visits stop shortly after the twins were born. No one ever gave her a straight answer to has why, and that's what frustrated Najat the most.
Dakota nods, nuzzling against her scales. “Morning will be best. Maka gets up earlier then I do, and I don’t know how much sleep he’ll be getting. Best to let him get it when he can.” He hadn’t been surprised, of course, when Maka had agreed to help look after Sena’s brother and the wizard signed into their care, but Dakota sometimes wished his brother would be... less generous? Or at least whine? Just a little. It would make it feel less like they were taking advantage. Dakota sighs, pushing the thought aside and closing his eyes. He lets his fingers find Najat’s, knitting them together. “I’m glad you’re feeling better,” he whispers. He hopes it isn’t a bad thing to say, but her smile it make everything else... easier. He wanted it to stay.
"Is that even possible, to get up earlier then you? I mean goodness it's still dark out when you wake up. Maka has to get up in the middle if the freakin night if that's the case!" Mornings were hard for her, maybe it's because the night didnt feel so lonely, and she liked that feeling. Mornings have been a lil easier then last few weeks though even if the night was still her comfort time. "Today helped quite a bit. It was nice to just have fun and not feel the weight of the world burning for a few hours" she leans in to kiss his head "as dramatic as that sounds" she giggles at her exaggeration, and relief of finally feeling like things are making sense to her again. She is trying to work though her demons but they don't feel quite as heavy as before and Najat sighs
He grins, squeezing her hand. “Maka always needs to be up to light the forge. It has to be just the right temperature by the time he gets to work, and he has to work long hours to fill orders. So the earlier the better. And he likes having morning tea with mom, so he has to be up in time to get it ready for her.” When she giggles he kisses her neck, feeling the happy vibration. “Good, I like it when you’re dramatic,” he murmurs against her skin. If things kept improving, hopefully the happy, over the top person he loved so much wouldn’t have to dwell on those terrible thoughts of hers.
"I guess there could be something good to say about waking up early," she muses over "breakfast is still hot" Najat grins at his touch and squeezes his hand "because I'm dramatic so often" she laughs out
“And you get to see the sunrise.” Though Dakota supposes that might not be as rewarding for someone who didn’t worship the lady of the horizon. He then laughs at her response, kissing her neck again. “It’s one of your best qualities.”
"I still like it better when the sun can see me rise" she could get behind a pretty sunset though, a cool evening with a orange and pink sky fading into a black. Cayden, did she love that laugh "Just one of my best?" She wittily says
One electric blue eye cracks open and he grins. “Do I need to list them all?” He hums against her throat, pretending to think. “Let’s see... you’re daring” he plants a little kiss on her neck “you’re silly” he kisses the corner of her jaw “you have a lovely voice” he kisses the top her horn then pauses before kissing her forehead, whispering “and you’re honest with me. And about you’re feelings. Even if you can’t always say what you’re feeling, you don’t hide them.”
She laughs when she sees his grin "that's pretty specific for you having to think about that amazing list you have." She smirks "it's getting easier for me to try at least. And it's hard for me to hide them when I SO dramatic" putting extra emphasis on so, she leans in to kiss him
When she kisses him, Dakota pulls her in, just to be a bit closer. He lips linger just a bit longer before answering. “You just needed to find the words. You’re getting there.” He brushes a large hand along the side of her face. “You’re okay.” Those words were simple, they were Maka’s after all, but they had still always been a relief. He hopes she can use them as well.
She leans into his hand a bit and sighs "I know, thank you" she smiles at him softly. Right now she was feeling more then okay though
He curls in close, his head finding the curve of her shoulder. “You’re welcome.” Dakota closes his eyes, the day finally catching up as he feels himself growing drowsy. The warm, soft bed and Najat making him more so. “I love you,” he says sleepily.
She wraps an arm around him and rubs his arm "I love you too" as she stifles a yawn
Dakota snuggles in closer, letting out a long, happy sigh. “Goodnight.”
Najat hums "Goodnight" she looks up at the ceiling, feeling pretty good about herself and everything else. Not worrying about the bad things, even if it was just for tonight.

How did Ruby steal the hearts of millions of Egyptians?
Ruby in ‘Leh Bedri Keda’ music video
“Girl on the Bike”, or “Bike Singer” was the nickname the Egyptians gave to Ruby after her first hit song.Leh Bedri Keda‘, (why does he hide like this) where she appeared singing and dancing in a music video which the Egyptian public then considered sexually provocative. As many people loved her performance in the video, Ruby was seen as too bold and caused an unforgettable publicity, mainly among the older, significantly more conservative generation.
Ruby, whose real name is Rania Hussain Muhammad Tawfiq, began her career in shame as a model, and starred in several television commercials. He then got a role in the great Yusuf Chahin’s film.sockout hansawar‘ (Silence, We Are Shooting) in 2001.
In 2003, his first music video ‘Anta Aref Leh‘ Public opinion sparked an uproar as she appeared in a belly-dancing outfit that was deemed inappropriate by many. Although belly-dancing is one of the most popular, if not the most popular, dance styles in Egypt, in her case it was looked down upon. their major hitsLeh Bedri Keda‘ hit the screens in 2004, cementing her as a singer on the exercise bicycle.
Although there were a few singles she released in later years, as well as a film in which she appeared, ‘al wadi‘ (The Promise), with Egyptian actors Mahmoud Yassin and Asr Yassin; She made a stellar appearance on the television screen in her role as ‘Reda’.according to nisha‘ (Women’s Jail) in 2014. Fans have lost it over August Alsina's new song and suspects that Jada Pinkett Smith cheated on Will Smith with him. This comes after Alsina released his Forever and a Day EP last month, where the singer put his own twist to Kehlani’s “Nunya” and talks about a past lover who didn’t know what she had until he was gone. “Putting on a show / ‘Cause you don’t want the world to know / That you lost a man who loved you all along.  I gave you time to make me a priority / Put my feelings out there / You ignored it. Ain’t nunya business to know who I’m with” he sings. Fans began piecing the puzzle together because the name of the person who he’s texting in the video is Koren, and coincidentally, that’s Jada’s middle name. What really put the icing on the cake was at the end of the clip above, August Alsina sends a GIF of Jada to “Koren” in the midst of their back and forth. Not too long ago, August Alsina appeared as a guest on Jada Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talkshow, where he revealed his deepest battles with drug addiction to the world. During the same episode, Jada related to August, as she revealed she had her own struggles with an addiction, however, it was a sex addiction. Jada and August Alsina have grown incredibly close, since sharing such deep parts of their past lives together. Alsina spoke on his relationship with the Smith family and he is definitely embraced by them. However, since August Alsina released his new cover of Kehlani's "Nunya," fans are suspecting that he and Jada had a little more than just a regular friendship. See all the social media reactions below.... August Alsina got a whole song talkin bout him and Jada even got her picture in it. I guess sis broke his heart heart? — qυ??? ?aja??‍???
