I’ve seen a few posts about how the Derry Girls would act in a Yellowjackets situation (love) but I also think it would be funny to just. add them to the Yellowjackets cast. like they were just inexplicably on the plane too. anyway here are my thoughts on the matter:
Erin and Michelle would fight over Travis
The Derry Girls, as Catholics, would be very on board with Lottie and Laura Lee’s whole deal. They would be the first to believe that Lottie is a bonafide girlprophet
Ben would try to help James understand that it’s okay to be gay and James would be like right, thanks, but I’m not gay
Sister Michael, if she was there, would take the rifle from Travis during the hunting competition and inexplicably be the best shot out of the group
Clare would be absolutely losing it over how much rations they have left. just a constant state of panic. she would be even less helpful than Jackie
Erin would be her annoying tryhard self. She’d go with Tai on her expedition for rescue and try to take over leadership. The expedition goes even worse than it does in canon
Erin would really admire Tai and she’d try to emulate her. She pretends to sleepwalk and have an “Other Erin” when she finds out about Tai’s sleepwalking. She is publicly shamed by Michelle when Michelle catches her smearing dirt on her mouth to pretend she also sleep-eats dirt
Like the JV Yellowjackets, Michelle would have no qualms about cannibalism
Clare would be extremely opposed to drawing cards and would be aggressively hyperventilating and crying until someone other than her is chosen. then she goes back on her word that cannibalism is inherently unethical and is all aboard the cannibal train. Michelle calls her out for this. (Well, I just think that because the wilderness chose, Michelle…)
Orla and Misty and Crystal would be friends and Mari would consider murdering them all because they’re much more annoying than just Crystal/Misty. Orla would not really care that Misty broke the flight recorder.
let’s be real, none of the Derry Girls are making it to rescue, but if they did Erin would be immediately publishing her journals. They’d be back for not even a day and she would have that book deal. They wouldn’t even need the likes of Jessica Roberts and other media outlets to snoop around. The Derry Girls would be calling networks themselves to get on talk shows.

Dickey Betts
Guitarist, singer and founding member of the Allman Brothers Band best known for writing their 1973 hit Ramblin’ Man
Dickey Betts, who has died aged 80, was a founder member of the Allman Brothers Band, one of the most influential US “southern rock” groups of the 1970s. The hard-living outfit blazed out of Jacksonville, Florida, in 1969 with a mix of rock, blues, country and jazz that defined the genre, also influencing artists such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, the Black Crowes and Kid Rock. They scored several platinum and gold albums and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Although the six-piece band was ostensibly led by the blond- haired Allman brothers, Duane and Gregg (guitar and keyboards/vocals respectively), as joint lead guitarist, singer and main songwriter Betts played a crucial role. A larger than life character with his cowboy hats, long moustache and gunslinger good looks, Betts wrote many of the band’s best loved songs, including Jessica, Blue Sky and the 1973 US No 2 smash Ramblin’ Man, inspired by life on the road.
The signature duelling of Betts’s and Duane Allman’s lead guitars rewrote the rule book of how twin guitarists play together - previously one had played lead and the other rhythm. The band’s huge fanbase included President Jimmy Carter, and in 2020 Betts even received the rare accolade of a mention in a Bob Dylan song, when Murder Most Foul contained the line “Play Oscar Peterson, play Stan Getz/Play Blue Sky, play Dickey Betts.”
He was also the inspiration for the rock star character played by Billy Crudup in the former rock journalist Cameron Crowe’s film Almost Famous (2000), the director having been drawn to Betts’s aura of “possible danger and playful recklessness behind his eyes”.
Betts was born in West Palm Beach, Florida, one of the three children of Harold, a carpenter, and his wife, Sarah (nee Brinson), who wrote poetry and played the cornet in a Salvation Army band. Although his father was also a keen fiddler, Dickey’s first instrument was the ukelele, which he started playing aged five, later graduating to the mandolin and the banjo.
He was at West Gate elementary school when he wrote his first song, Seven Years With Pamela, about his sister. He then attended various West Palm Beach schools until seventh grade, dropping out of high school when he was 16, by which time his pursuits included carpentry, hunting and listening to the Grand Ole Opry on the family radio.
Hearing Chuck Berry’s Maybellene in his mid-teens prompted another switch of instrument, as he “started realising that girls like guitars”. He dropped out of high school aged 16 to tour the US with a travelling circus in his first band, the Swinging Saints, but was playing in Second Coming with the bassist Berry Oakley when Duane Allman invited both men to join his new group.
The lineup was completed by the drummer Butch Trucks and – unusually in white-dominated 60s southern rock - a black second drummer, James Lee Johnson, who had previously played with Otis Redding and Percy Sledge.
Although sales of their first two albums were sluggish, Duane Allman’s appearance on Eric Clapton’s 1970 album Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs – which included the classic hit Layla – boosted the heavy-touring Allman Brothers Band’s rising profile. Their 1971 live album At Fillmore East sold 1m copies.
After Duane Allman and Oakley were killed in motorcycle accidents in 1971 and 1972 respectively, Betts led a rejigged lineup. The 1973 album Brothers and Sisters – featuring Ramblin’ Man and the instrumental Jessica, later the theme to the television motoring show Top Gear – topped the US charts for five weeks, while 1975’s Win, Lose Or Draw went into the Top five. By then the band were succumbing to a familiar music industry cocktail of success, drugs, alcohol and feuding.
Betts and Gregg Allman both made solo albums, before Betts felt betrayed when the latter testified against the band’s road manager in a 1976 drugs case and refused to work with him again. Nevertheless, they regrouped in 1978, splitting again in 1982.
A second comeback in 1989 proved more enduring, although in 2000 Betts was fired over his drinking. That third spell in the band had been dogged by alcohol and drug abuse, lawsuits and arrests, and in 1996 he was charged with aggravated domestic assault after pointing a handgun at his fifth wife, Donna (nee Stearns), whom he had married in 1989. The charges were dropped after Betts agreed to enter rehab.
In his later years he returned with his own Dickey Betts Band and played in the band Great Southern with his son Duane. True to his ramblin’ man credentials, he remained on the road to the last, even after brain surgery following a 2018 fall at home, and he released live albums well into his 70s.
He is survived by Donna and his children, Kimberly, Christy, Jessica and Duane.
🔔 Forrest Richard Betts, musician, singer and songwriter, born 12 December 1943; died 18 April 2024

Summary: On his first solo case for HunterCorps, Dean runs into a freelancer known as Cass Teyal. Dean quickly falls for her, and soon finds himself embroiled in two much bigger cases: preventing the Apocalypse, and figuring out exactly what Cass is hiding.
Excerpt: The cemetery was, as expected, dark, creepy, and full of dead stuff. Dean walked through it, looking at every grave for disturbances. So far, all of them seemed fairly normal, but Dean knew better than to think that meant anything. He headed for the crypt. If this was a ghoul, that would be a good place to look. The door was open when Dean reached it. He groaned and headed inside. “Cass?” “Wondered when you’d show.” She was standing toward the back, apparently looking around, though she didn’t have any sort of light. Dean shown his flashlight at the wall, searching for any irregularities. “You’re going to have to be faster if you want to compete.” “You’ve been drinking,” Dean protested weakly. “You shouldn’t be out here.” “I’m not even slightly intoxicated. I was just waiting for it to get dark.” She looked him up and down again. “See you stopped to change out of the pretty clothes.” “Hunting is messy.” “Hm.” She kept staring at him, her gaze piercing. “You know my name, pretty boy…what’s yours?” “Dean,” Dean said distractedly. “Got scratches here.” He shone his light on the spot. “Yes, I spotted them…nothing behind there. Dean who?” “Dean Winchester…where is it, then?” “Probably stalking out another victim in whatever skin it’s wearing. You’re John’s son.” “Yeah…you know him?” “He keeps trying to recruit me. But I work alone, and not for money. Come on.” Dean blinked, but followed Cass out of the crypt. She walked through the cemetery with a steady, long stride, not even looking back to make sure he was following. “Wait!” Dean jogged and caught up to her, his confusion evident. “You’re sure it’s not in there?” “Very. This is a shapeshifter, not a ghoul. Which means it probably set up somewhere more comfortable.” “How do you know?” “I looked at the victims. No bites, just slices. The cemetery’s just a dumping ground. Very considerate, actually.” “Considerate?!” “Well, it’s putting them where they’d end up eventually. It seems better than dumping them in alleys like most monsters.” “No, Cass, better would be not murdering people!” “Obviously. But if you must be killing people, the least you can do is make clean-up easier.” “Right.” Dean shook his head a bit. “So where are we going?” “Somewhere we can look at a map. I want to triangulate where the victims lived.” “Okay…we can go to my suite, it’s got a big table.” Cass looked amused. “Why, Mr. Winchester, are you inviting me up to your room?” “For the case. If you won’t back off, we’ll have to work together, and I’m going to wring as many billable hours out of it as I can.” “You do that, pretty boy…lead the way.”

Horropedia x Philocalist (OC) // Stuck With You
Note// can be taken as a x reader because this is technically like a "we're best friends but you actually thought we're dating" kind of trope lol
Warning// Suggestive and mentions of death and horror speculations(?)
____
There is one day when Horropedia plans to invite his supposedly girlfriend to a ghost hunting date that is located at a haunted mansion... just the two of them.
Without knowing, Philocalist ended up suggesting if she can invite other people like Ms. Tooth Fairy, An An Lee, Blonney, and Jessica- Click happens to pop in too at the last minute because of An An Lee/ih
The brunette couldn't bring himself to say no to her... Yet at the same time,  he is mentally screaming by the failed attempt of making them spend time together alone as couple----
Meanwhile, it seems Philocalist thinks her crush is just treating her like a travel partner, rather than something more than that - yet she seems alright about that.
How bad will this exploration be?
Probably wrong, as always.
So far, everyone got separated into groups because of a creature that has been roaming around the mansion - they couldn't even detect signs of life in the first place! How did that thing get inside? It seems... it must be a ghost.
But even if so, that huge spirit managed to destroy a long dining table in half by holding a normal solid axe somehow
Philocalist finds herself getting chased through the halls at the moment. Before things went out of board, she noticed how Blonney and Jessica ran away together along with An An Lee, Click and Tooth Fairy---
Concluding that Horropedia ran away by himself, she is aware having him separated from the group would be dangerous and even for her right now- so she tries to follow where he was running off to.
Haunting growls can be heard from behind, cueing that the entity is getting closer- she cautiously looks around as she takes a sharp turn to a hallway full of doors--
Just as she is trying to quickly pass by the hall, one of the wooden doors open as a pair of hands reach and snatch her by the waist right into the room-
Philocalist whimpers by the sudden pull, trying to get out of the hold she can't even detect who from the shadows. The door then gets locked again in the process.
"Calm down, Philo..."
The familiar caramel voice can be heard whispering her ear as a gloved hand is covering her mouth securely to prevent her from being too loud,
"It's me, wi- Philocalist. It's Horropedia!"
After a few seconds, the ravenette slowly stopped struggling as she confirmed the same scent of wood on him. Even when she tries to reach out an occupied hand towards the figure behind her, she can feel the familiar texture of the limited edition glasses he crookely wears.
Horropedia manages to stop her hand with his other had gently as she can already imagine an amused grin, "Wow, be careful there...!"
".....Mm....." Philocalist quietly hums, not sure if she should take his hand off of her lips while being in an awkward position.
The horror fanatic finally realizes the situation before quickly letting her speak as she can now quietly gasp for some cool air to lower the pressure.
"Oops- my bad."
"I'm glad I get to find you- but what happened to you when we got separated...?" Philocalist quietly whispers before approaching the locked door to try and check for any footsteps that can be heard from the other side.
"Just got here too- and got some time to look around here before..." Horropedia walks away, cueing the puzzled Philocalist to follow along, "I found this."
He then uncovers a huge painting that was covering a tunnel path to a room.
"This..." The raventte starts, "I think this is intentionally made to hide..-"
"-Secrets." Horropedia finishes swiftly with his infamous, goofy grin.
Just that, he motions a dramatic gesture with his hands as if stating "ladies first" at Philo. Who places her hand on her chest dramatically as if "omg, you shouldn't have-" before crawling carefully-
They carefully try to enter the door at the end of the tunnel--
But the moment they went further- the door immediately locks itself by force even if Horropedia was holding on to it.
"Okay- that's a fascinating mechanism." The brunette mutters, unsurprised. Trying to study the door as Philocalist just got a bit jumpty after the sudden big noise.
"Yep- We're stuck." Horropedia confirms as he takes a closer look at the door, even failing to open it again or unlocking it, "Surprisingly, the door seems to have the gap covered from being exposed in order to prevent some card from swiping in-"
"Well, very clever...." She mutters softly before sighing. Knowing that's not good for the both of them.
"Don’t worry- got a backup plan." Horropedia suddenly says before taking out some kind of controller- then clicking it.
.
.
.
Beep!
"Okay, SOS sent." Horropedia affirms before putting it back as Philocalist processes what just happened.
"Oh." That's the only she can spill about that, "Do you think they can find us...?"
"Please- if they can't, we might as well make a path besides a door and a window afterall!" Horropedia suggested as he looks around the room they are in, which seems like a bedroom.
"This place..." Philocalist whispers, "It has a king's bedroom-" She stops nefore her fingers softly bump into a picture frame from a cabinet.
She lots the picture frame a bit to see a photo of a pair who are notably weqring engsgement rings, "A married couple's bedroom..."
"Married couple- Norman and Eva?" Horropedia, "Gosh, this is it! It's in here!"
"Their will note?" Philocalist asks curiously.
"The same place where they mysteriously passed in their sleep- but also that." Horropedia acts as matter of factly before starting to work on his investigation, "You got your tools?"
"Yes." The ravenette nods before taking out an led light to scrutinize around the room as well.
"I wonder what would be the cause of their death- some kind of chemical on the bed?" He checks the bedsheets carefully with a flashlight, "Abnormal infestation going on?"  He checks cabinets, "Or have they recently touched something in the bathroom-" He then goes to the shared bathroom with 2 sinks, "Mmm- the cause of their death could be outside the bedroom- but then we already checked everywhere else- did we?"
"Their death couldn't just strangely happen, just after the moment they fell on the bed..." Philocalist ponders as she rubs her chin lightly in thought.
She tries to check the bed again with an LED light. Even the pillows.
"No blood stains...
.
.
A-Ah,,, "
Philocalist quickly backs away from the bed as she takes the LED light close to her. Having a disturbed look
"What is it? You found somethibg???" Horropedia's eyes can be seen Sparkling with determination.
"Eh... I don't think you don't wanna see this but-" Philocalist slowly hands the light to the taller one before quickly turning away to get busy with other kinds of furniture.
The man was confused at first before looking down at the bed sheet with the LED light now-
His eyes widens.
Stains... transparent stains that seem to be the surface layer besides dust.
"What the hell...?" Horropedia grimace before slowly looking toward Philo who is just as embarrassed and traumatized as he is. "They both kicked the bucket because-"
"Yes." That’s all Philocalist is going to say before silence invades the dim litted room.
"Now- this is far from what I expected," Horropedia admits before scratching his head a bit after taking off the plastic gloves. "I guess we now know how they died...-"
"Y-Yea..." Philocalist nervously laughs quietly, before moving further away from the bed.
"Alright- let's find the will contract." The brunette quickly changes the topic as he notices the tension becoming a bit suffocating. The other nods in agreement before kneeling down to search anything underneath the furniture. Horropedia had a lot of thoughts running in his head, but eventually stop looking around in deep detail when he finally has the courage to look back at his partner again. Noticing how far she seems from him as well.
"Are you alright, wife...?" Horropedia tries to light up the mood with his usual joke of a nickname for her. He mentally cringes at the fact that it actually turns out even worse if he calls her that at a dead couple's bedroom---
"Yes... I'm alright. I'm just surprised." Philocalist reassures quietly as she tries to tie her hair up so it doesn't make contact with the floor. Trying to ignore his eyes on her doing it.
"I just hope nothing haunted happens here- it would be very embarrassing for the ghosts...-"
Horropedia laughs by her comment. "T-True!"
"Ah,,, hey. Why are you far away now? Come here." Horropedia motions Philocalist with his arms, "We have to stick together, just in case."
"I-I think this distance is good enough..." Philocalist's lightly muffled voice seems more nervous than ever, "There’s no way someone can kidnap me from if I'm close to a bar--"
"...Philo- p-please trust me, I won't do anything weird!!" The nerd protests as he tries to explain, his now leather  gloved hands waving like crazy. "Don’t be scared of me, you know me too well!"
"I'm not scared of you," Philocalist responds a bit more calmly yet still m
looking at something, "I just don’t know how should I even act around you in these kinds of situations... I like you, after all."
.
.
.
"Huh."
"Huh...?"
"You like like me?"
"Yes."
"But, Philocalist- I thought we're already dating."
.
.
.
.
Silence conquers the room once again...
Both of their faces slowly start looking like tomatoes, either by realization or embarrassment.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know you thought of me that way--- you were very subtle;;-" The ravenette girl apologizes as she quickly stands up, startling Horropedia a bit.
"No no!!! Huh,,, It's my bad... I can't read the rooms right---" Horropedia rambles back as he scratches his cheek in conflict, "
He slowly tries to approach Philocalist, who seems to back away as an instinct. Horropedia doesn't seem to mind as he walks closer to her figure, trapping her against the wall as a glove hand is placed next to her head loosely with a calmer but serious expression.
Of course, he cautiously tries to eye both sides or at the locked door if there's ever anyone somehow who manages to break in.
"...Philocalist." The brunette with glasses starts solemnly, "I've always loved you, even right now."
"...H... Horropedia." Philocalist looks away a bit, but the other autist prevents her by holding on to her chin lovingly, making her look at him in the eyes.
"I'm serious," Horropediw says, "Who else would I treat the same as I treat you? Who is the first person I come into mind when inviting to come to a  haunted mansion with me?
Philocalist, you're one of my best friends who I can count on. But... you're a special kind of best friend- I, I want you to- no, I want to be your boyfriend."
Horropedia tries not to ramble, but it seems is failing.  Philocalist can't even help but get redder by the confession---- yet she gently leans in to nuzzle on his neck to try to calm her heartbeats--
"...I love you,,, and I want to be your girlfriend, too." She whispers, feeling a bit embarrassed yet voluntarily feels the need to express that. "Thank you,,, I'm sorry."
"It's okay," Horropedia assures as be now hugs her back, "We just have to hope the others are okay- we can still try and find an exit-"
"I-I know they're capable,,, but what I mean is, I wish I should've known sooner,,,"
"Is alright, boo... I can't even get mad at you at all for that-"
After he lovingly admits it to her, he gently boops their foreheads for a good moment...
Before suddenly, a beep can be heard as Horropedia lightly pulls away from the hug to respond to the mechanism that was on his pocket, which was a walkie-talkie.
"Ehhhh.. everything alright there???" Jessica asks who jusy happened to take the talkie from Blonney, "We detected your signal- we're coming to where you are."
"An An Lee managed to find the Merrian's will contract after noticing Click's latest photos." Blonney cam be heard from the background as the voice of the said ghost buster can also be heard vaguely as "Yeah no I can't believe it either-".
"Gosh,,, what a miracle. " Philocalist whispers.
"Horropedia and Philocalist here- copy that!"
Horropedia holds the button before releasing once stating it. He then quickly takes out his gun and aims at the door, still holding on Philocalist's waist.
"My gun is ready - I should have thought of this sonner!!!" He yells out in ecstasy as he shoots - Summoning the Twin Dolls. The cursed creatures quickly work on chopping on the old wood in different pieces and digging the hole wider. It then explodes into nothing but a bigger entrance tunnel
"Golly...-" That’s one word Philocalist let's out after seeing that. Once again.
"Journey on! We're just getting started!" He happily chirps before taking his now official girlfriend's hand in his before running towards the exit. Philocalist only giggles at his enthusiasm before following suit with a warm smile.

Before the crash, Nat never has anybody watching her back. Her two main friends are complete enablers who just go along with whatever choices she makes, and she just does what she wants, even when they’re intentionally self destructive.
And they ARE self destructive on purpose. Because the first big choice she makes on the show is to kill her dad. The safety’s on but she pulls the trigger, he has the gun because of her, he dies because of her, and she holds that guilt. She bleaches her hair because she can’t stand to look at herself anymore, she hits the booze and the drugs to numb the pain, and she’s just so eaten by it all.
Then, post crash, everyone around her just spends all their time saving her. Not only from her own bad choices but also from any negative thing.
Travis shows her - of all 16 of the ‘jackets - love. He’s clearly upset by many of her choices and still he forgives her over and over. She kills his younger brother to save her own ass and he still stays by her side. He jumps in to save her from the roulette, Javi tries to take her to his cave, Misty stops the hunting party from getting her.
Misty spies on her to keep her safe and then tries to save her from her coke, kills Jessica for her, cleans up Adam’s body for her. The cult/Lottie forcibly kidnap her to stop her killing herself, Travis enters a no-suicide pact, even though it hurts him as well, to keep her alive.
Amongst the rest of the group, Laura Lee explodes to try to save her and Van almost gets killed trying to rescue her. Shauna and Tai stop her shooting Jeff,  and Misty goes to intense lengths to find/rescue her from the cult. Lisa, despite being far younger and really in the thick of her own shit, and having been nearly blinded by her personally tries to pull her back from the brink.
Lottie for all her flaws does her best to try to speak sense to her and help her. Tai spends absurd amounts of money to send her to rehab, apparently multiple times.
Here’s a woman who WANTS to die, who WANTS to self-destruct. Because she hates herself that much, she’s so intensely full of guilt, and she’s absolutely cursed to be surrounded by people who just won’t allow her to. Who love her despite her own self-hatred.
So when Lott is trying to convince them to take the poison, Nat doesn’t say a single word in her own defence. Maybe she feels it serves her right. Maybe she believes she’s on borrowed time.
Maybe, no matter how much she may think it’s bullshit, she just sees a way out and HOPES, maybe finally, maybe now, nobody will stop her, nobody will save her.

babe wake up lila’s thoughts on yellowjackets 02x04 just dropped. as per usual spoilers below cut. i loved this week’s ep so very hyped to share my thoughts!
- obsessed w/ fugue state tai at jessica roberts’ house. she was on a fucking mission and i respect it. i really liked having her wake up on the way to find van, i was kinda hoping she’d only come to once arriving at van’s shop but i liked to see that tai still had the same goal as other tai
- kinda obsessed with the new cover of the intro song, i mean it always goes so hard but it definitely slapped this week, wonder if it’ll stay this way for the rest of the season or not
- I DO NOT TRUST WALTER he knows what misty likes just too well. the musicals, the flattery, calling her a good friend, he wants something from her and he is trying to get her to trust him. i doubt she will and i want him to die at her hand but we’ll see as long as they don’t end up a couple i’m chill
- misty and crystal singing and annoying the others i love these loser girls so much
- who do we think stole some of the bear? i would say ben but like it would be hard for him to get out there without anyone noticing and i don’t think he has the motivation to go through extra effort for food rn. maybe javi? i don’t think sleep walking tai bc van has been following her. adding this to the list of cabin mysteries right next to who shit in the piss bucket
- “what exactly would you do about it, eat me?” ben no longer gives a fuck he is so ready to be bitchy to these cannibal teenagers and i love that for him
- very interested by lottie this episode oh boy, but as i’m going chronologically lets start with her silence when the hunting competition was proposed. it’s really interesting to me how she doesn’t seem to want this at all, like she does not want the influence she has over the girls, she does not want to be seen as this power and i’m intrigued to know if that’ll change at all
- now onto adult lottie: i want to know if something in particular happened to make her so scared of her visions bc in the wilderness so far she’s just been kinda going along with them so i’m curious to see when that shift occurs
- need to know what the dripping is that mari hears and absolutely loved her asking akilah to help her find it. mari is a hater to everyone but her we love to see it
- AKILAH MY BEST FRIEND AKILAH THE LITTLE MOUSE FRIEND SO FUCKING CUTE AKILAH IS JUST LIKE ME FOR REAL
- lottie returned to bear heart altar to perform a blood sacrifice —> did this bring the moose in some way?
- obsessed with nat being so protective over lisa when they were with her mother that was so sweet nat really is the kindest of the bunch
- “not a bad person just a bad criminal” shauna you are in not position to judge how good a criminal someone is you also kinda suck at it
- nat taking the fish was so cute
- i don’t even know what to say about lottie’s hallucination except i’m in pain and lottie lee is real we won but i’m still very sad
- nat after they lost the moose made me want to cry. she is putting so much pressure on herself to feed everyone and just ugh she is making me feel things. and then her blaming herself for lottie almost dying too my girl <3
- LOTTIENAT that’s it that’s all i have for the tub scene
- so intrigued by the queen of hearts w/ eyes scratched out, maybe some connection to man w/ no eyes? connection to antler queen? idk maybe we will see lottie find out about man w/ no eyes and that’ll mean something?
- what the fuck happened to javi. where was he. how’d he survive. what’s wrong with him. is that even the real javi. i have many questions
- i think that van becoming increasingly convinced that tai has a connection to wilderness is going to lead to tai leaning into it more to stay close to van. their dynamic will probably start to shift more and i’m so interested to see how
- ok now onto the best part: ADULT TAIVAN THEY ARE HERE WE HAVE THEM MY BELOVEDS HAVE BEEN REUNITED
- just van’s expression when seeing tai, the little barely there smile as she says her name, her little shop, she’s real she’s here i love her she’s amazing thank you lauren

The Father Hunt
Wendigo
Two tents were set up near a fire ring, and you could hear crickets chirping. Inside one of the tents, two young men named Brad and Gary were playing head to head handheld video games.
"Dude, you're cheating." Brad complains. "No, you just suck!" Gary rebuts, slightly miffed at his friends accusation. Something growls outside while in the other tent, a young man named Tom Collins lies on his bed recording a video message.
"Hey Hailey, day six. We're still out near Blackwater Ridge." A shadow flashes behind Tom, the camera barely picking it up, but he doesn't notice. "We're fine, keeping safe, so don't worry, okay? Talk to you tomorrow." He stops recording and sends the message to his girlfriend of three months, whom convinced him to go on this trip.
In the other tent, Brad closes his game system and tosses it aside. Gary stares at his system for a moment, then turns to look at him, who is getting up and unzipping the tent. "Hey, where ya goin'? My moment of victory." He complains, as he was so close to winning. In his head at least.
"Sorry man, nature calls."
Brad goes outside and zips up the tent behind him. He goes to stand against the tree to relieve himself while the fire crackles. Something snaps a stick and Brad glances towards the sound and sees the trees rustling. He shakes his head and returns his attention downward, then looks up sharply as something growls. In both tents, the boys look up as they hear their friend scream.
"Brad?" "Bud, what's going on?" The two ask as they unzip their tents. Suddenly something grabs Gary. Tom screams as the thing grabs him as well, dragging him into the dark.
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Birds chirp as Sam, wearing a suit and tie and carrying a bouquet of various flowers, though  no roses, walks through an otherwise deserted cemetery.
He sighs and stops next to a gravestone. It reads "JESSICA LEE MOORE", "Beloved Daughter", "January 24th 1984 – November 2nd 2005". There is a small picture of a grinning Jess set into the stone above her name, a black-and-white picture of her leaning against the stone between a white teddy bear and a wooden box with a crucifix leaning on the picture, a small American flag next to the box, and three candles standing on the gravestone; one of the Virgin de Guadalupe.
Sam looks between the grave and the flowers.
"I, uh..." He laughs. "You always said roses were, were lame, so I brought you, uh... everything else."
Sam looks at the picture set into the gravestone, then looks away, choking back tears. He steps closer to the gravestone, tears clouding his eyes.
"Jess, oh god. I miss you so freaking much. I should have protected you. I should have told you the truth." He says, kneeling as he puts the flowers next to the crucifix, when an arm covered in dirt shoots out of the ground and grabs him by the wrist.
He jerks awake in the shotgun seat with his brother driving and sister in the backseat, the dream nothing but that: a dream. He shakes his head as the sound of the music helps him move the dream to the back of his mind for now. He smiles, as he remembers that this was the song the three of them had done together when they had snuck into a bar.
Dean glances over at his brother. "Glad you're up. You okay though? You looked like you were having a nightmare." Sam looks over at his overprotective older brother, then to his younger sister. "Yeah, I'm good, Jay still asleep?" He quickly changes the subject. Dean nods. "We'll wake her up later, she barely sleeps as it is. You want to drive for a while?" Sam laughs, then sees his brothers serious look. "Dean, your whole life you never once asked me that." "Jeez, relax, just thought you might want to because-" "Look, man, you're worried about me." Sam cuts him off. "I get it, and thank you, but I'm perfectly okay." "Mm-hm." Dean mumbles, clearly not believing him. Sam sighs, then grabs a map from the glove compartment, where he had stored it before falling asleep.
"All right, where are we?" He says, talking more to the map than his brother. "We are just outside of Grand Junction. Man, last time we passed through here, Jay punched that fat, greasy guy in the face, remember?" Sam laughs at the memory, before glancing back down at the map of Colorado, which has a large red X labelled 35-111.
"You know what?" Sam asks his brother, not looking up. "Hm?" Dean glances at his brother then back at the road. "Maybe we shouldn't have left Stanford so soon." He sighs, remembering where he spent some of his happiest days. "Sam, we dug around there for a week. We came up with nothing. If you wanna find the thing that killed Jessica-" "We gotta find dad first." Sam finishes, determination evident in his eyes.
"Dad disappearing and this thing showing up again after twenty years, it's no coincidence." Dean says, clearly showing he had put a lot of thought into it. "Dad'll have answers. He'll know what to do." 'And hopefully not beat the shit out of Jay if he finds out she tried to leave.' Sam thinks, remembering that last time his sister tried to run. She was 16, and had grown tired of the constant abuse, so she ran. She was gone for two months, before dad had found her, and when he did, Sam didn't see her for a week and she flinched from his hugs for a month. Even though she though he couldn't, he'd seen the marks, though he wasn't sure what caused them.
"Dude, you listening?" "Huh, yeah, this's just really weird man, these coordinates he left us, this Blackwater Ridge, there's nothing out there; it's just woods." He puts down the map, and glances at his sister. "Why is he sending us to the middle of nowhere?" He states as they pass a sign welcoming them to Lost Creek.
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They park the Impala next to a sign that says "Ranger Station: Lost Creek Trail, Lost Creek National Forest".
"So Blackwater Ridge is pretty remote." Sam says as he studies a 3D map, especially the part of and surrounding the place their dad sent them while Dean looks at decorations and Jay does research on her laptop. "It's cut off by these canyons here, rough terrain, dense forest, abandoned silver and gold mines all over the place." Jay glances up and laughs softly. "Maybe he came here to get rich? I mean, silver and gold are worth a lot right now." Dean ignores her and laughs at something. "Dude, check out the size of this freaking bear." Jay glares at him. "Respect it dumbass, we may not have encountered an animal ghost yet, but that doesn't mean we won't. Besides, it was once a majestic creature, so cut it out before I smack you." She threatens. Dean raised his hands in surrender and slunks away from the taxidermy. "And a dozen or more grizzlies in the area. It's no nature hike, that's for sure." Sam says, continuing to list what's around what is beginning to seem more dangerous than what they had expected.
A forest ranger walks in, Wilkinson from the look of his tag, Jay notes, and walks up behind them.
"You boys aren't planning on going out near Blackwater Ridge by any chance?" Jay laughs as her brothers spin around, clearly startled. "Dammit, you saw him and didn't warn us?" Dean say to her, playful irritation in his voice. "Oh, no, sir, we're environmental study majors from UC Boulder, just working on a paper." Jay says sweetly. "Recycle man!" Dean says playing along. Jay and Sam rolled their eyes simultaneously. "Please ignore him, he's just doing it for the easy degree." "Hey no I'm- yeah, yeah I am."
The ranger raised his eyebrows, but didn't comment. "Bull. You're friends with that Haley girl right, I mean, you girl barely look high school age."
"Okay, first of all, I'm 22, second..." Jay thinks for a second, considering the outcome of each. "Yeah, we are, ranger Wilkinson."
"Well I will tell you exactly what we told her. Her brother filled out a backcountry permit saying he wouldn't be back from Blackwater until the twenty-fourth, so it's not exactly a missing persons now, is it?"
Jay hides a glare at her brothers. She had told them that it wasn't a missing persons yet, but did they listen? No.
"You tell that girl to quit worrying, I'm sure her brother's just fine."
"Of course, she's just so freaking worried, like, it's all she goes on about, um, so do you think you could show me it, the permit I mean, and maybe get a copy for her, so she relaxes? I mean, she's my best friend, and I love her, but if I hear one more time 'oh, he's probably dead' imma lose it."
He smiles at Jay, and gives her a copy, and the three of them make their leave.
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Dean, I swear to fucking god, if you're just going to see this girl for a hook up, I will murder your ass. I mean, we have the coordinates, lets just go!" Dean shrugs. "I'm not, I swear. Just, maybe we should know what we're walking into before we actually walk into it?"
Jay raises her eyebrows. Her brother was not like that. "Uh-huh. That's my job, Sam's the worrier and you're the dumb-ass who shoots first and asks questions later, living like everyday is his last. So who the fuck are you, and get out of my brother, or I'll make you eat salt."
Dean laughs. "It's me Jay, chill, besides, since when are you all shoot first ask questions later, anyway?"
Jay glances at Sam. She knows that he's hurting and needs revenge soon, or he'll become another John Winchester, and that's something she can't deal with. "I'm not really, but you and Sam both are now, and you're both bigger than me- don't even think it Dean- so there's no real point in arguing."
Sam gets in and slams the passenger door shut. Jay and Dean share a glance, conveying the same message before getting in: we need to find yellow-eyes, and fast.
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Stay back this time, OK Jay. You don't exactly look the part of a park ranger, so stay in the car and figure out the best route." Jay sighed, knowing she wasn't getting out of this one. She nodded and watched her brothers greet Haley and show her their fake IDs before heading in.
She glanced down at the map, quickly finding the best route, though it would take them a day or two to reach the ridge still.
Jay folded up the map and let her mind wander. I mean, did she really want her dad back? He had been torturing the living shit out of her for years- he hated her. She could run, go to Bobby's, or maybe the road house, the place she had stayed for a few nights when she ram away when she was 16 to make enough money to get to New York. Jo and Ellen were nice, and they told her to come back when ever.
She shot out of her musings when her brothers came back.
"What did you two idiots get?" She asked, ready to get going. "It's gonna take us a few days to get there, so tell me while you drive."
"Well, she likes the car-" "Important stuff Dean." "You're no fun. Fine, she says she knows Tommy's in trouble because he hasn't checked in in a couple of days. In the last video he sent her, a big shadow ran past in the background. We promised we'd find her brother, she said she might see us 'cause she hired a guy and she forwarded the videos to Sam."
Jay quickly ran through that. "Her being out there might be a bad thing, but you said you saw a shadow? If it moved that fast, it might be a wendigo." Dean shrugged. "Maybe, but did you find a route?" Jay sighed. "The fastest one their will take a couple of hours. We should head out tomorrow, get somewhere to sleep tonight."
The trio agreed, and at Deans insistence headed to a bar.
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There was a game of pool going on as they all sat at the bar, Jay getting carded there and at the bar.
"So, on the way here I looked through dads journal. Last April, two hikers went missing, no remains found, bear attack was the official story, and in 1982, eight went missing; grizzly attack, and before that in 1959 and again before that in 1936. Every twenty three years like clockwork." Jay said while nursing an alcoholic apple cider.
She checked the video's, "Thanks for giving that girl my email Sam, and after watching these twenty someodd times, I noticed something."
Jay pulls up the video and played a certain section, a shadow moving quickly across it.
"Play it again."
She complies to her oldest brothers request.
"That's three frames. A fraction of a second. Whatever that thing is, it can move." She says. "My wendigo theory is becoming more and more likely."
The three share a look.
"One more thing. In 'fifty-nine one camper survived this supposed grizzly attack. Just a kid. Barely crawled out of the woods alive."
Sam looks
 over at her.
"Does the kid have a name?" "Yes, duh he has a name." "I mean did you find one."
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They pull up outside of Mr. Shaws house, the man who was attacked, and are invited in, Jay staying outside again.
"Look, ranger, I don't know why you're asking me about this. It's public record. I was a kid. My parents got mauled by a-" "Grizzly? That's what attacked them?" Sam interrupts, still annoyed at Dean for making Jay stay outside; she would have gotten the info in 30 seconds flat.
Shaw blows a puff of smoke from his cigarette and nods.
"The other people that went missing that year, those bear attacks too?" Dean continues, now regretting his decision to leave Jay outside.
With no reply, Dean keeps talking.
"What about all the people that went missing this year? Same thing?"
Getting annoyed at the mans lack of reply, Dean keeps going.
"We knew what we were dealing with, we might be able to stop it."
Shaw finally speaks up. "I seriously doubt that. Anyways, I don't see what difference it would make. You wouldn't believe me. Nobody ever did."
He sits down, and Sam sits across from him.
"Mr. Shaw, what did you see?"
Shaw takes a deep breath and tells them something he hasn't told anyone in years.
"Nothing. It moved too fast to see. It hid too well. I heard it, though. A roar. Like...no man or animal I ever heard."
"It came at night?" Dean questions, thankful they were finally getting somewhere.
Shaw nods. "It got inside our cabin. I was sleeping in front of the fireplace when it came in. It didn't smash a window or break the door. It unlocked it. Do you know of a bear that could do something like that? I didn't even wake up till I heard my parents screaming. Don't even know how it killed them, just dragged them off into the night." he shakes his head. "Why it left me alive...been asking myself that ever since."
He reaches and pulls down his collar.
"Did leave me this, though." He says, revealing three long scratches. Sam and Dean share a look: their sister was right.
"There's something evil in those woods. It was some sort of a demon."
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After they got to the motel they were staying, they filled Jay in.
"I knew it was a wendigo!" She cheered before stopping. "Oh shit, it's a wendigo."
Dean hides a smirk at his sisters enthusiasm, the most energetic she has been since the fire.
"At least we know how to kill it. But we can't let that Haley girl go in there."
"You're not wrong, but she's leaving in the morning, and it's not safe at night, even with our knowledge." Sam says, ever the smart one. "Come on man! I don't wanna baby-sit!" "Dean stop being a baby."
They pack the impala and after Jay goes to bed, Sam pulls Dean aside.
"Dean, I'm worried about Jay." "What do you think she can't handle the hunt? She had ghosts begging for mercy after she lectured them for hours when she was ten!" Dean replied incredulous, as well as surprised that his brother, his sisters biggest supporter was saying that.
"I'm not worried about the hunt, I'm worried about what'll happen when we find dad. He blames her for something, maybe about mom, but what I do know is that if he finds out that she almost left with me, there'll be hell to pay, in the form of I don't know what, but it'll all be on her."
Dean stared at his brother.
"Come on man, dad wouldn't do tha-" Sam just stares at him. "He would?" Sam nods. "I don't know how long it's been going on for, but even in the recording, there was some sort of warning about Jay."
Dean sighed. "We'll cross, or burn is more likely that bridge when we come to it. Now, come on, let's get some sleep."
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Winchesters pull up to the forest and see Haley and Ben arguing with a guy, something about Ben staying home, though Ben doesn't look pleased about that as he cocked a shot-gun.
"Look, you're paying me good money to keep everybody safe. I think Ben's safest at home." They hear the other guy saying as they step out.
"You guys got room for two more?" Jay asks. "Who are these guys?" "Apparently this is all the park service could muster up for the search and rescue."
Jay pretends to shrug of the insult. "Be glad you're getting us. It took ages to convince them." "You're rangers?" Jay nods. "Yep, I know I especially look young, but we are, Mr. whatever-your-name-is." "It's Roy." "And you're hiking out in biker boots and jeans?" Haley continues.
Dean looks down at his attire.
"Well, sweetheart, I don't do shorts." He says as he walks past her.
"What, you think this is funny? It's dangerous back country out there. Her brother might be hurt." The Roy guy says, a little pissed off.  The trio turn back.
"Believe us, we know how dangerous it can be. We just wanna help them find their brother, that's all."
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The rag tag groups hikes through the forest with Roy at the lead.
"Roy, you said you did a little hunting." Dean says, starting up conversation.
"Yeah, more than a little." "Uh-huh. What kind of furry critters do you hunt?" "Mostly buck, sometimes bear." "Tell me, uh, Bambi or Yogi ever hunt you back?" He continued, passing Roy. Jay lunges forward and yanks back her older brother.
"Bear trap. Nice going girly. You should watch where you're stepping though ranger." Roy says, poking at the trap with a stick, causing it to snap shut. Jay rolls her eyes at the nickname.
"You didn't pack any provisions. You guys are carrying a duffel bag. You're not rangers." Haley says, finally putting the pieces together.
Jay smiles. She likes this girl.
"The three of us are, and we're looking for our father. He might be here, we don't know. I just figured that we're in the same boat." Jay says, hoping the half truth might appease them.
"Why didn't you just tell me that from the start?" "Um... I'm telling you now. 'sides, it's probably the most honest I've ever been with a person. ...ever. So we okay?" After a pause she replies. "Yeah, okay."
"And what do you mean I didn't pack provisions?" Dean pipes in, reaching in his pack and pulls out a big bag of peanut M&Ms. Jay rolls here eyes and mutters about idiotic brothers, before walking on.
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"This is it. Blackwater Ridge." Roy announces. Jay glances at a GPS. "Coordinates: N 35o 45.383, W 111o 00.55."
The siblings share a look: this was it.
They listen around, but here nothing. "Sam, do you hear that?" Jay whispers. "Not even crickets."
"Imma go take a look around." Roy announces. "You shouldn't go by yourself." Dean quickly jumps in. "That's sweet. Don't worry about me." He says, waving a gun. "Five bucks says he gets taken Sam says. "Deal."
"Alright, everyone else, stay together." Dean says, taking charge.
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everyone save Roy is looking around a large-ish rock when they hear Roy call out: "Haley! Over here!" Haley runs towards him, closely followed by the others. "Oh my god!" She cries out. "Not God last time I checked." Jay mutters under her breath, having always had a sort of underlying resentment to God, though she did love the angels, but was slightly horrified all the same, but not as bad as Haley, having grown a shield to prevent herself from freaking out.
The tents are torn open and bloody and all the supplies are scattered.
"Looks like a grizzly." Roy says as the Winchesters share a look. "Tommy?" Haley calls, then proceeds to run through the campsite. "Tommy!" Jay runs to her. "Shh." "Tommy!" She continues to cry, close to tears, so Jay grabbed her. "Shut up! Something might still be out there."
"Jay!"
She runs over to her brothers. "It's a wendigo all right."
Haley is inspecting her brothers tent at the same time. She looks over his phone, which is bloody and the back popped off.
"He-hey, he could still be alive." Jay hopes her words bring at least a sliver of comfort to the girl.
"Help! Help!" They all quickly look around, but don't see anyone, and Roy leads everyone in a quick search. "Help! Somebody!"
"There's no one her- shit. Everyone, get back to camp!" They rush back to find it completely ransacked.
"Our packs!" Haley cries, while Roy mutters something about his GPS and satellite phone. "What the hell is going on?" The girl half-shrikes out. "It's smart. It wants to cut us off so we can't call for help." "You mean someone, some nutjob out there just stole all our gear." Roy says, incredulous. "Dean, Jay come over here." The two separate off from the little group and approach Sam. "Oh yeah, this is definitely a wendigo." He says. "See, I told you, now aren't you glade we brought flame-throwers- which were in our stolen packs. Shit. Well, we gotta at least get these people out of here."
Sam agrees and goes to try and convince the people to leave, and Dean goes with him.
When Jay see an argument though she steps in.
"All right, enough, all of you." Haley stepped in as well. "Tommy might still be alive. And I'm not leaving here without him." Jay sees that the girl would not back down, and after a pregnant silence, Dean spoke up. "It's getting late. This thing is a good hunter in the day, but an unbelievable hunter at night. We'll never beat it, not in the dark. We need to settle in and protect ourselves." Haley looks confused at him. "How?"
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The group builds a campfire while Jay draws symbols in the dirt and patiently explains them to Haley.
"One more time, that's-" "Anasazi symbols. It's for protection. The wendigo can't cross over them."
Roy snorts, with his gun over his shoulder. Jay rolls here eyes. "No one likes a skeptic Red Arrow." He gives her a confused look. "You know, Green Arrows protégé, Roy Harper, Red Arrow? Never mind."
She goes and sits next to her brothers who were in the middle of a conversation.
"Yeah, you're probably right. Tell you the truth Sammy, I don't think Dad's ever been to Lost Creek." "Then let's get these people back to town Dean, and let's hit the road. Go find Dad. I mean, why are we still even here?"
"That's how." Jay steps in. "That book. That's Dad's single most valuable possession- everything he knows about every evil thing is in there. And he's passed it on to us, or well probably you two, but still. I think he wants us to pick up where he left off. You know, saving people, hunting things. The family business." She finishes with dramatic air quotes on family business part, a reference to how it took so long to convince Dad to let her hunt.
"That makes no sense. Why doesn't he just-call us? Why doesn't he-tell us what he wants, tell us where he is?" Sam says, shaking his head. "I dunno. But the way I see it, Dad's giving us a job to do, and I intend to do it." Dean pipes up. "Dean...no. I gotta find Dad. I gotta find Jessica's killer. It's the only thing I can think about." Jay looks down; that hunt to find their mothers killer had consumed him so much, that when there wasn't a monster to take it out on, he took it out on her, blaming her for the fact that a week after she was born, their mother died. She could only hope the same thing didn't happen to Sam.
Dean glances at her and remembers his conversation with Sam. "Okay, all right, Sam, we'll find them, I promise. Listen to me. You've gotta prepare yourself. I mean, this search could take a while, and all that anger, you can't keep it burning over the long haul. It's gonna kill you. You gotta have patience, man." Jay gives Dean a thank you look while Sam looks up and down.
"How do you two do it? How does Dad do it?" Jay glances at Haley and Ben. "For me it probably helps with the fact that I didn't know mom all that well-" "Yeah, it's a bit harder for me, but I mean, I figure our family's so screwed to hell, maybe we can help some others. Makes things a little bit more bearable." Jay rolls her eyes for what feels like the billionth time. "Took the words right out of my mouth Dummy." "Wait, dummy? That's the best you could think of?" "You know, Dean Boswell from X-Men? If you don't like that I could call you Lucy In The Sky, after Karolina Dean. Oh, and Sam, incase you were wondering, you're Nova, you know, after Sam Alexander." "Pass, but why does Sammy get a cool one? One other thing though, Sam." He glances up, relived at the argument end. "Killing as many sons of bitches as I possibly can."
The three snap their heads up at the sound of a twig snapping and someone beginning to cry for help.
"He's trying to draw us out. Just stay cool, stay put." Dean calls to the others. "So, inside the magic circle?" "Yes Red Arrow, inside the magic circle."
It continues to cry out for help, so Roy, in his complete and utter stupidity, shoots it as it runs by.
"I hit it!" He exclaim, running to see what he hit.
"No, Roy, don't!" Jay cries out after him, right before it reached down and snapped his neck.
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They couldn't do anything then, so they waited till morning. Dean and Sam are looking through Johns journal, while Jay talks to Ben and Haley.
"I don't...I mean, these types of things, they aren't supposed to be real." Jay sighs, having heard this about a bajillion times. "I wish I could tell you different, but welcome to my life." "How do we know it's not out there watching us?" "Ooh, a good logical question. The answer: we don't. But it only really hunts at night so we should be good for now."
Haley stares off into the distance while Ban rocks back and forth. Jay feels bad for them; their whole world had been practically blown to bits. The only reason she was okay was because she grew up with it.
She walks over to her brothers to discus strategist. "So we've got half a chance in the daylight. And I for one want to kill this evil bastard." "Well, hell, you know we're in."
Sam and Dean go over to the others to explain better what a wendigo is, and Jay walks over after they're done. "And then how do we stop it?" Jay smiles, holding up the last flamethrower she had found. "We gotta torch the sucker."
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The group makes their way through the forest, Jay and Dean in the lead, with her holding a flamethrower and him holding a scraped together half passable one as they pass trees covered in claw-marks and blood.
Later he and Sam switch, but Jay stays in the front with her never tiring pace. All of a sudden she stops in a clearing of broken branches and blood. "Am I the only one thinking this is way to easy?"
Growling starts up out of nowhere, and They whip around to see blood dripping on Haley, from Roy's corps in the trees.
"Okay, run, run, run, run, go, go, go! Haley, no, you can't save him."
Ben stumbles and falls, so Sam and Dean pick him up while Jay and Haley keep going, Jay half dragging her, only to stop short in front of the wendigo. Jay reaches for her flamethrowers, only to find that she dropped it.
"Fuck."
Sam and Dean keep running only to find Jay's flamethrower and hear Haley's scream.
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sam, Dean and Ben continue hiking through the woods when Ben posses a question.
"If it keeps its victims alive, why would it kill Roy?" "Honestly? I think because Roy shot at it, pissed it off." Sam answers.
They stop short when they see a peanut m&m.
"Jay must have grabbed them, she's leaving a trail."
The three follow the trail until it reaches an abandoned mine.
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sam shines the flashlight ahead of them and they hear growling, and he quickly shuts off the light and pulls Ben against the wall, the wendigo speeding towards them. Sam covers the new kid's mouth before he can scream, and thankfully Dean was against the wall as well.
The wendigo takes a different tunnel, so the three keep going. The floorboards creak. "Fuck." The three fall through the floor and land in a pile of bones. Ben spots a pile of skulls and leaps backward, barely remembering not to scream.
"Hey, it's okay, it's okay, it's okay." Sam calms him down.
The three look up and see Jay and Haley hanging from their wrists, Haley out of it and Jay barely holding on to consciousness.
"Took... you... idiots long enough." The brothers sighed in relief at their sisters still spunky spirt while Ben ran over to his sister.
"Haley, Haley, wake up, wake up!" Sam cuts Jay down, while Dean goes over to help Ben, before moving to an empty section of floor.
"You sure you're okay?" The worried brothers say in unison. "I'm fine, chill."
Haley and Ben are standing up and staring at one of the bodies.
"Tommy..." The girl lets out a soft cry, touching his cheek, causing him to jerk back to life.
"Cut him down!" Haley screamed.
Dean leaps up to do as she says.
"We're gonna get you home." Haley whispers to her brother.
"Hey y'all, look at this." Dean holds up two flare guns. "These'll work." Sam and Dean lead with the guns and the others follow, supporting each other.
They hear growling and look at each other in varying levels of annoyance and fear.
"Looks like someone's home for supper." "Dean, like 90% of the time I love your cheekiness, but right now we have bigger issue. There's barely any way for you, Sam and Ben to out run it, and Haley, Tommy and I definitely can't."
Dean glances at his younger brother.
"You thinking what I'm thing?" Sam nods and Jay groans.
"Oh God, I hope not." She mutters.
"All right, listen to me. Stay with Sam. He's gonna get you out of here." "And let me guess, you're gonna be the dumbass distraction." "You know me all too well little sis!"
Dean starts walking down the tunnel in the opposite direction calling out into the darkness. "Chow time, you freaky bastard! Yeah, that's right, bring it on, baby, I taste good."
Jay rolls her eyes, but follows Sam as they start making their way out of the tunnel.
Dean keeps going shouting insults at the wendigo, but instead, the other group runs into it.
"Haley, Ben, take my sister and Tommy and go."
"What the fuck, I'm not leaving you Sam!"
"Go! Go! Go!" Haley starts supporting Tommy while Ben drags Jay out.
Sam stands at the ready, flare gun held strong. "Come on. Come on."
He hears growling and turns around to find the wendigo behind him. "Fuck." He shoots and misses, then runs after the Collinses.
"Sam!" Jay cries out after her brother.
"Come on, hurry, hurry, hurry." They all make it out of the tunnel, the wendigo right behind them, and Sam orders them to stand behind him, his large stature hiding them all.
The wendigo approaches slowly, as if already knowing it has won, but Dean comes up behind it.
"Hey!"
The wendigo turns around and he shoots it in the stomach, the flare going off and the monster going up in flames.
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back at the rangers station Tommy gets loaded up into an ambulance, not Jay or Haley since they insisted they were fine. The rangers, interviewing Ben are in various states of disbelief as Sam stands behind him.
"And the bear came back again after you yelled at it?" "That's when it circled the campsite. I mean, this grizzly must have weighed eight hundred, nine hundred pounds."
Sam nods, hoping it brought a slight amount more sincerity into the other boy's statement.
"All right, we'll go after it first thing."
The two circle back to the others. "You did pretty dam good Lucy in the Sky and Nova." Dean groans. "Literally anything but that!" Jay smirks. "I'll think of a different theme tomorrow."
Haley finishes thanking Dean and she and Ben go into the ambulance to ride with their brother.
The three siblings get in the impala and start driving off.
"You know what we should do more often? Camping."
"Fuck no!"
