Een opname op een intensive care kan voor patiënten en hun naasten een aangrijpende ervaring zijn. De opname kan soms nog langdurige gevolgen hebben op lichamelijk, psychisch en sociaal gebied. De afdeling intensive care van het Spaarne Gasthuis in Hoofddorp nodigt daarom de patiënten, die in 2023 of begin 2024 op de afdeling opgenomen zijn geweest, uit voor een zogenoemde terugkomdag op zaterdag 8 juni 2024. Samen met de patiënten en hun naasten kijken medewerkers en artsen terug naar de opname. Hiervoor hebben zij een afwisselend en deels interactief programma samengesteld, waarin de diverse aspecten van de opname aan bod komen. Ook is het mogelijk om onder begeleiding een bezoek aan de intensive care te brengen. Geïnteresseerde toenmalige patiënten en hun naasten kunnen zich voor 10 mei a.s. aanmelden via [email protected]. Wie nog vragen heeft over de dag of over de opname, kan contact opnemen via het emailadres of via (023) 224 60 15.

Another Miraculous ICU Recovery!!!

Mr. Inderjeet Singh, Ex Executive Member world bank suffered a serious back injury(in tail bone)as he fell down and lay unconscious at the railway station. Sohana Hospital’s Life Support Ambulance brought him in from a nearby hospital and was immediately admitted to the ICU.

Dr. Gaurav Bhatia, Senior Intensivist (HOD Critical Care) & his team

gave him the best treatment as patient was not responding at all during the first three hours. He was on ventilator initially but started improving gradually.

Immense expertise & experience of Dr. Gaurav Bhatia to provide the life saving treatment, his guidance, immense dedication of the team and special diet helped in patient’s absolute recovery. The ICU team and nursing staff attended him round-the-clock during his 2-week stay. From being unconscious the first 4 days to nearly 95% recovery in the next 10 days, Mr. Inderjeet was shifted to the general ward on the 11th day.
