Rockefeller Center Angel Figure Display With Saks Lighting Show In Backdrop 3D - IMRAN™

The intricacies of an angel light up when she opens up to my probing eyes and more; when she embraces the dark shadowy but colorful backdrop of my visions passing through her very core, seeding her mind with desire to be seeded deeper, trembling in anticipation as the lights and shadows dance in ecstasy and accentuate every part of her soul.

This is another of the 3D photos I took the day I had been walking in freezing cold windy Manhattan in the Rockefeller Center area, after the Saks Fifth Avenue lighting and music show livestream I have shared with you all.

This was one of those angel like figurines that line the pond and small fountains along the promenade. I chose that as the subject, with the landmark retail establishment as the backdrop. Look at the intricate detail an iPhone XS Max camera captures even in night lights, even at the lower quality that Facebook stores photos at.

Flock Of Seagulls / Sea(Grass) Of Color - IMRAN™ This is an unusual and unexpected photo I took this evening during my sunset drone flight at my blessed home on Tampa Bay in Florida. The flats across from my place in Apollo Beach generally are exposed as an endless wet sand 'private beach' but today was different. As I turned the drone camera downwards to view the flock of seagulls squawking, feeding, flying and fighting away there, I was amazed at the incredible colors of sea grass that were exposed where I had expected just sand. Spitting Image? Dolphin Statue Fountain "Holds" Setting Sun As A Marble In Its Mouth - IMRAN™

The 13-years old Nikon D300 paired with the still awesome 18-200 Nikkor lens can still capture some of the most magnificent images. This in itself was one of the most spectacular gold and red painted sky sunsets I have seen at my blessed home in Apollo Beach. The dolphin statue fountain's water flow is caught in vivid detail with light reflecting off and through it in addition to refractions and other effects adding their magic. Like a trained animal the dolphin almost seems to be holding the sun like a marble in its mouth. Tampa Bay, Florida, provides the perfect backdrop for this magical scene which required no editing.

Imperfectly Timed Perfect Tranquility Of Tampa Bay Boating And A Florida Sunset - IMRAN™

I was about to start taking photos of this beautiful sunset which was rich and textured from some moisture in the air, even without the usual cloud patterns which make for more dramatic colors. I saw my lovely neighbors come by on their boat and call out to me. Just then the fountains and waterfall of the swimming pool I was standing next to started up, making it impossible to hear them. I yelled and signaled for them to idle their engine so I could take a picture. That is when I realized that the camera's battery had run out from a long video timelapse the previous night. I quickly signaled to them to hang out there as I had to run in to pick up a freshly charged battery. Fortunately, as I got back and replaced the battery and got all set up, the boat was still in a perfect position in the left bottom foreground to provide a counterpoint to the sun more towards the right in the back. The jet ski would have looked better had it moved about 30 feet forward, as then I would have had all three vessels and the sun in one straight line! But the reason I did not wait for that shot was that in that case the boat closest to me would have moved forward right into the part where the water was shining with the straight unbroken line of sunset reflections. I did not want to edit out the jetski because the moment was still beautiful... even though I did not get all my ducks, I mean, all my boats in a row.

TGIF^3: The (Diving) Predator & The (Flying) Fish In Deadly Tango Across Stunning Sunset Sky Pass The (Standing) Photographer - IMRAN™

TGIF, Thank God It's Friday, I was thinking when I took this photo. TGIF, Thank God It's Fish, for dinner, the osprey was gloating heading home for dinner. TGIF, Tampa Goddammit, I'm F(*&ked, the poor fish was probably whimpering. What an incredible moment when I took this photo last night. In addition to the spectacular sunset (which I have many more photos I want to share), this one was a great catch, even though I say so myself. I had seen this osprey dive into the water as I was taking photos. I saw it struggle in the water before it captured its prey. When it headed towards me I took four photos in quick succession. In the first one, the bird of prey and the unwillingly flying fish were out of focus. In the third and fourth photos, the bird's wings were on the downstroke in both, concealing the size of the fish. But this shot, I got lucky with. The breathtaking sunset sky was a perfect backdrop, and the light from my dock making even the colored stripes and size of the (likely) spadefish in the talons of the predator stand out as the Nikon D850 did its magic. TGIF times three, indeed.

See Golden Sea From Golden Bay To Golden Sunset As Boats Go Past Magnificent Homes - IMRAN™

Sometimes it is possible to salvage a golden moment from an otherwise dull-dreary looking end of a day. Even more challenging is to be able to use the almost DSLR like capabilities of some iPhone camera apps to shoot about a dozen high dynamic range images and auto-stitch them on the MacBook Pro to create what looks like a scene from a fable. See the golden sea from the golden waters of Tampa Bay stretching out to the golden sunset barely making itself seeable in this surreal scene, where downtown Saint Petersburg Florida's skyline and buildings are not even visible behind the low lung moisture and clouds. You can see several boats out and about taking in the scene. A pontoon is turning from one channel to the next in front of home in Andalucia, the luxurious community opposite my blessed Symphony Isles neighborhood, where I took these photos from.

"Blue Moon" Sailing On Blue Water Under Blue Sky Under Golden Sky On Biscayne Bay In Miami Florida - IMRAN™

This is the photo from which my digital art oil on canvas digital painting was created in 2019, which you can see at www.flickr.com/photos/imrananwar/49003219147/. That was created eleven years after I photographed this sailboat from my long-gone Sea Ray 40' yacht, which I had loved keeping in Matheson Hammock Park Marina, in Coral Gables, Miami, Florida. I had my then-girlfriend Tania at the helm, while I took photos with my then still-new Nikon D300, which had been her gift to me, and which is still going strong. The sailboat was on Biscayne Bay as we headed back from downtown Miami towards the marina. As I happened to see the photo in moving files from Apple's now unsupported and soon to be defunct iPhoto to another library, I decided to play with the original of this image, which was marred by my mistakenly having shot a whole day of downtown yachting pictures with the darn camera's exposure setting at -1eV, from a previous day's testing. As a result, some spectacular images became dull and lifeless. I decided to use the afternoon sailing photo and saw the magic of playing with it as digital art, but inverting the time of day effect. Just an experiment and I hope you enjoy it. The title is based on the name of the sailboat and the blue sky and blue sea scene. I hope to be back in Miami again soon, as it has been about 5 years since my last visit.

Spectacular Spring Sunset Tampa Bay Florida.- IMRAN™

There are hardly any Tampa Bay sunsets that are not spectacular in their own way. But sometimes the colors, shades, cloud patterns, and position of the sun at the time of the photo just make for another unique experience. This was no exception. I took two vertical photos with the Nikon D850, and merged them in PhotoShop, well Lightroom Classic really. I had to straighten the final result because it is very difficult to take two photos handheld with the camera held exactly vertical, and not have some angular errors. Fortunately, a little bit of tweaking made the horizon under the buildings almost level. But what I love is the fiery edges behind the clouds, and the darker shades of color shooting up and out. You can see an airplane entering the frame at the left at a high altitude, and one turning final for a landing into Tampa International airport to the right.

This magical view is of my blessed Florida home at Apollo Beach, as I looked East, with the Tampa Bay, Florida, sunset behind me. Besides the breathtaking colors of sea and sky, I was amazed by two human faces visible in the sky. One looks like a Phantom Of The Opera type gold masked face. But there are some that always make one take a sharp breath in amazement. Even though the sun had set the cloud on the opposite side was lit up like a magnificent replica of a cloud nebula far in outer space. 10 Years - Dusk At Shoreline Park Marina Alameda California January 2011 - IMRAN™

How quickly a decade can fly by. The iPhone 4 video was recorded during my stay in Oakland, California, literally 10 years ago prior to my writing these lines. 

It was mid-January, 2011. It was a complicated time in my life, as for many others.  I was recovering from the craziness that was the George W. Bush inflicted near-depression economic meltdown of 2008-2009.  But I was hard at work exploring new ideas, new opportunities, and yet experiencing life to the fullest.

 Today, I am writing this hoping that the country can recover from the Donald Trump inflicted economic suffering and a near-destruction of democracy in America in the four years leading up to the elections in 2020. As I was a decade ago, I am hopeful.  

That chilly California evening I had met my friend and old Columbia MBA classmate Larry Landman, who had left the USA for Denmark back in 1991 or so but was visiting California at the same time as me. We walked around this beautiful marina in Alameda catching up while catching the sunset and dusk over the Shoreline Park marina. 

The fleet of sailboats, many with blue colors prominent, were lined up against the pink sky and the terrain in the background. I wonder if the scene there has changed much 10 years later. 

Without being presumptuous of even a day of life ahead, I also wonder what life holds in store in the next 10 years. Only the best, God Willing.
