Here's the Dark Medieval Mystery Drama AU I mentioned before :D
I'm still working on the rest of the references but I'll shove a little story summary under the cut, if you have any questions I'd lovvee to answerrr
The basic plot is Scarab, who's known as The Crimson Knight, is sent to complete a secret mission for the Queen (who is Princess Bubblegum, her name is Queen Bonnibel), so she assigns Finn and Jake to watch over The Cube (a cursed magic item that poses a threat to the kingdom, The Crimson Knight's main job is to watch over The Cube). While watching over it, Jake gets curious and investigates it, only to discover Spectro the Wishgranter inside, who's a cool dude, and they become friends. The legend says that Queen Bonnibel in her early years asked for a wish from the cube upon its discovery only to be cursed with a horrible punishment, immortality with a cost (she suffers more pain the longer she lives).
The mystery drama comes in and Finn and Jake eventually look into it more, now protecting Spectro. They discover that it was all a lie, the Queen along with the Crimson Knight have been abusing Spectro's wish ability (he can give as many wishes as he wants). There's more to it, but I'm still working on everything lmaoo
- characters -
Queen Bonnibel - Human cursed by The Cube to be immortal, has lived for 2,000 years. (this is a lie, she's secretly made of candy, The Cube is just her way of staying in power. She takes advantage of Spectro)
Finn the Knight - a young but loyal knight, only here to serve and protect the kingdom from evil. Has previously fought the Lich, an evil necromancer that sought to kill all life. His success in the battle shot him up to top knight under Crimson.
Jake the Monster - A being of unknown origin, he is trying to find his real family and discover what he is. A brother to Finn, Jake is his companion. The two are always side-by-side.
Crimson Knight - A being of high power and status in the kingdom. The queen's top knight and right-hand man. A bug creature from unknown origin, he takes his knightship very seriously. While Crimson is being shown off around the kingdom, surprisingly, most people can't recall a time they've ever been in contact with him for more than a few moments. Finn has only ever said one thing to him, and then never saw the bug again (despite Crimson being his superior). His real name is Scarab, prefers Crimson Knight as a professional name.
Spectro the Wishgranter - A malevolent being residing inside of The Cube, a cursed magic item of great power. When given a wish, the wish maker receives a horrible punishment in return. The Cube is kept on lockdown deep inside of the castle, protected by the Crimson Knight himself so no one is swayed by the evil deity. (all a lie of course. Spectro isn't evil, he just has an unfortunate circumstance. His shadow is the evil part, a separate being from himself. When released from the cube, both beings are set free. Spectro is kept inside to keep his shadow on lockdown too. His wishes are never evil, you can have as many as you desire. When touching the cube you enter his domain and meet the Wishgranter, he's a nice guy, and never would hurt a soul.)
**The Queen is both in the wrong and is right to keep Spectro locked down. She just takes advantage of his wishes and lies about what he is to dissuade people from looking into him. Trusting that this evil being is being contained responsibly. Spectro's shadow does pose a threat to the kingdom if released.

is it just me who thinks......i wish madoka was special for some other reason besides homuras timelines.
I DO LOVVEE the idea of homura doing everything in her power to save madoka....but i was kind of hoping for madoka to genuinely just have something really special about her, even if it was as cliche as her kindness or purity or want to help others, i wanted that to sort of fuel her power.
im not gonna lie it was a little disappointing after her whole talk of "i have nothing special about me" for the thing that was ACTUALLY special about her not really have to do with why she is such a good person, only with homuras decisions.
AND YEAH homura did make those decisions BECAUSE of madokas kindness in a way, i just wish it directly applied to how she was one of the most powerful beings ever, and not because she was so focused on by homura.
I HOPE THAT MAKES SENSE also i love madoka magica no hate i think its perfect and amazing this is just a thought

Fionna & Cake Episodes 3-4 First Impressions, Speculations, Etc.

THESE EPISODES WERE SO NEAT IN TERMS OF LORE AND CHARACTER WHATEVER,,
PRISMO BEING REVEALED TO BE THE CREATOR OF FIONNA AND CAKE AND THAT THE F&C UNIVERSE IS THE RESULT OF A WISH MUCH LIKE FARMWORLD IS SO PERFECTSKNDKDJ
I LOVVEE THE SCARAB- LIKE I LOVE VILLAINS THAT ARE DOING THE “RIGHT THING” BUT FOR MESSED UP MOTIVES AND HIM BEING JEALOUS OF PRISMO IS SO FUNNY
i also think hes not but lets not talk about that
CAKKEEEEE i feel like a lotta ppl are gonna say that the beginning chunk of her episode felt like filler but i really enjoyed seeing her again AND her getting a proper song! it was rlly cute and its also funny that that episode dropped when i LITERALLY have a cake plush coming in the mail today dkdbfkdjd
fionna sleeplessly looking for cake all throughout the city with as heartwarming as it is sad- cake really is one of the only things that gives her joy in her bleak reality- it was also nice seeing more of ellis and marshall as well as gary who was acting just a LITTLE bit sus not sure whats goin on there🤨
i also love that ellis and marshall just fall asleep synced like what😭
one thing i WILL say though is that i wish we saw a few more genderbends that weren’t seen in the first episode, im sure we will later on but yknow-
it was really nice to see that universe’s ICE QUEEN though! oddly enough she feels like the most underrated character of the F&C universe, only having a really prominent role in the first episode and like 2 of the comicsdkdjkdj i just hope we see more of her and her ice cream escapades
this will never happen.
i really hope we get to see more of astrid shes rlly cute and the dynamic between her and fionna- first thinking both being fans and then realizing “oh shit its the real fionna” was really fun
ending this little rant off, the end goal being to bring the ice king back is honestly really heartbreaking
simon can’t just live as himself anymore- his identity will forever be in the shadow of the ice king and his insane antics.
however i really hope the show doesn’t just settle on this as the only way things work out. the message “damn you were a lot better when you were self destructive” would be INSANE to ride on so i think they’re building to a compromise that splits the diff- maybe simon learns to be ok with the ice king being his past while making an effort to explore his new world without shutting himself out because its not the way HE wants it to be
TLDR i really liked these episodes and am hyped to see what they do with this series now that the stage has been set for their multiversal adventure

Word Count: 658
Alex paced around his room picking at his nails and pulling strands of his dirty blonde hair. There were specks of blood over the room. He couldn't take it much longer. He had to run away from here, from the person who ruined his life, the person who hurt him every single day, the last of all humanity gone in him. Was he breaking? Scars littered all over his body and tears were threatening to fall as he just couldn't take it any longer. But he was determined to take the risk.
'... But what if I get caught. Ethan will kill me right there and then... But then again.. What if it was crazy enough to work.. Maybe.. Maybe there was a village nearby and- and he could ask them for help.. Maybe...' Alex shuddered from the thought of what Ethan would do if he got caught.
The sun was setting.. It would be night soon.. He could leave while Ethan was sleeping..
Once Alex was sure that Ethan was asleep he went towards the door to find it locked.
'Of course its locked..'
He took out a pin from underneath his mattress that he had managed to secretly grab from Ethan and started picking the lock. A few seconds passed and the lock opened. Alex pushed open the door slowly careful not to wake Ethan up. He tiptoed towards the front gate which took him a while to find. He had never been anywhere else than the basement and the so called "punishment room" which Ethan called.
Alex was panicking. His mind a fogged up mess of thoughts. His breathing started quickening as he started having second thoughts about his choice.
May-Maybe I should just go back before he gets to know.. No.. NO! I can't live this fucked up life any more.
It was too far to go back now as he started hearing Ethan yelling his name and stomping towards the front door. Alex pushed the door open as he started running as fast as his legs could but Ethan was picking up with him as he heard him demanding Alex to turn back now. Alex spotted a closed bathroom not too far as he sprinted towards it, slamming the door shut and pressing his back onto the door while his breathing grew uneven.
"Oh Alleexxx, lovvee, why Dont you come out now and maybe I'll reconsider your punishment. How does that sound? Hm?
Silence.
"ALEX YOU REALLY DON'T WANT TO SEE WHAT I'M CAPABLE OF!"
No, he didn't. He really did not want to see what his captor was capable of.
He tried to move his legs but it was as if his foot was pinned and hammered to the ground.
"No no no. This cannot be happening right now. move god damn it"
His eyes filled with tears as the stomping grew louder and louder. There was no getting out. He was going to be in this fucked up place forever. Suddenly the door to the bathroom broke open as Ethan stormed inside. Alex stumbled backwards as he looked towards his captor terrified of what was to come.
"No.. Oh god.. Please no.." He couldn't help but let out a sob only for Ethan to grin at it.
"Well well well. We can't certainly leave that unattended now can we? It seems as if my little dove has forgot his place. Well somebody's got to show it right?"
Alex flinched when Ethan got hold of his jaw forcing him to look him in the eye.
"Answer me when I'm talking to you"
"Y-yes sir"
Ethan's grin only seemed to grow wider at that.

I’m not much of a social person, so when I play sky I’m usually alone or with my best friend - though i have multiple constellations of friends 😭
i LOVVEE the green part of the forest oh my goodness gracious its gorgeous. Also, I’ve been seriously enjoying the daydream forester’s hair !! I got the scolding student’s cape last year so I’m happy to have a nice outfit with it. Nothing really goes with the cape, unfortunately, but the Aurora pants work well enough ʅ（◞‿◟）ʃ

THIS one is by Andrew Wyeth so of COURSE I had to stare at. I love Andrew Wyeth ❤️ and again INK ON PAPER. AAAAAA!!! I will say the glass on this piece was really reflective which made it annoying but again I love the balancing of values in this its so fun. keeping the majority of the background the plain color of the paper is sooo lovely to me. there's such a looseness in this and I LOVVEE how it's reflected in the palmettos.
