If you haven't watched a movie/show of Hayden's (Higher Ground, Shattered Glass, Little Italy, American Heist, The Last Man, etc.) you shouldn't write for his character.

There are SO many people who inaccurately write for his characters and it drives me up a wall.

No, Scott isn't just misunderstood. He's a dickhead, materialistic jock.

No, Stephen isn't ignorant. He knew exactly what he was doing the entire time.

NO, Sam isn't just a hot, goth white boy. He's an asshole junkie brat who's purposely not trying to repair broken relationships with several different family members.

Those are just some examples of popular characters.

I'm so sick and tired of seeing the same shit over and over. Of course, that begs the question: "Then why don't you write it your damn self?"

I DO.

I have multiple things in my drafts. I hesitate to post them because I feel like I'm writing for an audience. Then I realized I'm writing for myself, and people enjoying my work is just a major bonus!

The point of me saying this is that you can't just watch all the Hayden scenes in a movie. WATCH THE MOVIE. There are a shit ton of things he's been in that shows his versatility as an actor, but it seems everyone just lumps all his characters into one category: silly misunderstood babygirl.

There are people who don't write his characters like that, I'm well aware. I just want us to switch it up.

And who knows? Maybe you'll enjoy the movies and shows. If you don't, you never have to watch them again. Just don't write for a character you know nothing about.

Am I a Hayden character connoisseur? Yes. Yes I am. Have I watched all his movies? Not yet, no. I plan on getting through them all.

And... why do we only write for his "most popular" characters? Sam and James are my boyfriends, yes, but for fucks sake, WRITE FOR SOMEONE ELSE!

There isn't a lot of Scott on here. I have yet to see a Leo fic, everyone turns Stephen into nerd!Ani, no Lorenzo, I'm sure none of you have even HEARD of Outcast!! Come on, guys. If I said Jake Hill Conley would anyone have a clue what movie I was talking about? No.

Ik y'all are probably sick and tired of hearing about Tacomic but it still baffles me that people see any potential in them. I've ranted on here once before that it's clear that Taco manipulated Mic which is. Abusive. I can't believe that has to be said. That should be common sense. Why are people so fucking keen on shipping abusive shit. I've literally seen people complain that Tacomic isn't abusive and that only lesbian ships get called abusive when they're not. Which first of all that's all just incorrect. Taco manipulated Mic, that's a fact. Once again manipulation is abusive!! And the only reason people are calling Tacomic abusive isn't because they're lesbian it's because it's fucking abusive don't even TRY to play that card. By saying that, you're essentially saying that it's okay for a lesbian relationship to be abusive. Or that lesbian relationships are different from straight or mlm relationships cause they can't be abusive. Fun fact, any kind of relationship can be abusive. You can be abused by someone no matter who they prefer to dilly dally with. I can't believe this all even has to be said. Stop romanticizing abuse please. (Btw I say all this as someone who's been manipulated and I can see a part of myself in Mic.)

I'm not saying y'all can't explore their dynamic btw. In fact I encourage it. Because if you actually do and WATCH THE SHOW you'll see that it is, in fact, abusive. I hate it. It makes me so uncomfortable when people tell me that they wish they had my body. But if I ever dare complain about it, people think I'm fishing for compliments when I'm definitely NOT. And I know my problems aren't nearly as bad as the ones on the other side, but it makes me feel so awful because I feel like I'm somehow reinforcing the mindset that fuels fatphobia. i have seen SO many post going around about how everything is a video these days and no one needs or wants this and just make the info written down and like. i absolutely understand the sentiment and their frustrations but uhh. as someone who struggles a lot with following just written or verbal instructions and benefits greatly from being able to see what's being done

please stop asking for no video explanations to exist. people think differently than you and saying videos are pointless and unnecessary is kind of exclusionary for people who. need the videos

i'm not saying y'all can't have your written explanations but maybe can we ask for both instead of saying only one form is wanted or necessary?

I’m actually getting really sick of this. I was considering leaving pintrest alone for reposted art, simply because most of what I saw could would still take you back to my blog, but there is so many people pintrest who simply saved the images publicly with no credit and no link which means I’m going to have to spend the next week dealing with this nonsense instead of working on another comic like i wanted to.

Guys, if you’re young and you use pintrest to save art the you like, you need to know that saving it publicly is reposting and you are actively harming the artists who’s work you claim to enjoy. 

Stop.

you gotta focus in the moment really deeply to not warm up too much. almost like.. going out of your way to zone out. it's- um. it's easier to cool off if you're out of it.

thankfully those fires tend to go out real easy. just splash some water on or snuff it out with a blanket. water works better though.
