i am playing professor layton and the curious village on my ds. very fun!!!

I don't know if i'm very far in because most of the time spent in that game was me being confused and bad at puzzles. it's fun though.

!!! im glad to hear youre enjoying it!! its one of my fav titles and honestly such an underrated series, id love it if more ppl gave it a try!

the puzzles can be difficult but very rewarding!! i used to dread them as a kid but now i find them nice and challenging. the math ones are still hard, but if u speak to Flick at the cafe he'll give you chess puzzles which i think were my favorite ^_^

#its nice because its story driven but gives u enough room to do the puzzles on your own to make progress.. and the rewards like #the gizmos painting pieces and furniture for the minigames are also a nice bonus because it gives u a little extra incentive to solve as #many puzzles as possible!! ngl i didnt know how the hotel room minigame worked but i had fun completing the painting and robot dog #plus the variety and the fact that u dont know which puzzles youre gonna get makes it interesting. and theres no harm if u cant finish or #end up missing some because you can find them in the riddle shack or just do a different one instead and its fine. very cool #i have dyscalculia so the math ones have always been hard for me and id need my brothers help so we'd work on it together #or i'd just search up the answer as a last resort............#actually im gonna save u the trouble. if u get the camera case puzzle the answer is 95. ITS FUCKED UP I KNOW BUT ITS 95 #it took me like 2 hours with my brother just to figure that out and i dont want anyone to get a headache from that one ITS FRUSTRATING #ive only played curious village and pandoras box bc its the only ones i had as a kid. replaying pandoras box rn actually!!!#i have cracked versions of unwound future and azran legacy which come after CV and PB BUT my version of unwound future is broken #it freezes on the opening cutscene every time i try to play it which SUCKS bc i really wanna play the games in order. maybe ill emulate it #professor layton #ask #answered #yapping #doodles

Soma and Mina in the sorrow games.

My memory on the Sorrow story is rather rusty, but I find cute that apparently Mina was Soma's only friend before the events of AoS because he's "hard to approach". Not for Mina, apparently! :D

(even cuter if you think that Soma's closed-off personality is what is left of Dracula/Mathias, although apparently even Mina is unnerved by Awakened Soma, understandably so)

You do have to make the effort to backtrack to Mina in AoS to get more screentime with her, but their chemistry feels natural, with Mina giving Soma advice, or talking together about other people, and always reaffirming that they trust each other. It's nice and comforting, and you get the relief that finally Dracula's soul is not bound to grieve for love.

I really truly was not, and I was a major square too and followed all of my mom's rules very easily. To the point where whenever I went over to the neighbors place(they had a girl my age) and she'd be watching spongebob and I'd tell her she couldn't watch it with me over since I wasn't allowed and then she'd turn on NCIS! Which probably wasn't better considering we were like 7

i'd still love to see a farming sim introduce a rival marriage system that let's you influence who gets with who (à la fire emblem awakening or fates' pairing system.) i think a wonderful life would've been a great game to implement that in bc i feel all the marriage candidates could interact with each other in really interesting ways, especially if that marriage system also allowed for same sex relationships.

#ngl i would just love to see more of the awl marriage candidates interact w/ each other in general #to be fair i haven't gotten a lot of events yet so there might be more interactions between them later on #i desperately want to see lumina and gustafa sharing their interest in music with each other #imagine lumina asking gustafa for his advice on how to improve her skills and he reveals that he has some classical music experience...#*i meant classically trained the word was escaping me when i was writing these tags #she finds his traveling stories absolutely captivating and his music slowly starts to show an influence on her own playing #idk if i'd want to see them in a relationship but i'd definitely love to see them be friends #but matt/gustafa or gordy/gustafa? there's definitely some potential there i just know it #and i think lumina could have an interesting relationship with molly or nami... 🤔#they're both a lot more worldly than her so they'd provide a glimpse outside of the small world she's always know #i just really miss the rival system guys.....#story of seasons #a wonderful life #mj.txt

When he gets into a redstone project, he really gets into a redstone project, and he knows that Jimmy knows that. But he can't help but think that maybe he should've come around a bit more often...if only so he could have more context for why his soulmate is currently no taller than his boots. Frankly, it's the most adorable thing he's seen in his life. (And Jimmy doesn't quite have the heart to tell him to stop when Tango starts carrying his tiny rancher around everywhere he goes.) OR: Scar tries to get Tango to stop carrying around the shrunken Sheriff, but his words go in one ear and out the other. Not that Jimmy really minds all that much when it's Tango.

oh sometimes i'm overcome with the realization of just how sentimental a bitch i am

like i really am straight up just playing make-believe with these characters like they're digital barbies

okay so in Iona's inventory, i've had this necklace

since very early in act 1.

it was in Aradin's chest at the Grove, and it was the first thing "we" managed to get with the "I distract them with conversation/busking and you steal everything that isn't nailed down" act/trick I had thought up for her and Astarion. I thought it'd be kinda cute for him to, at the end of this test run, present it with a ~theatrical flourish~ once just out of earshot of its original owner, and for her to ~graciously allow~ him to drape it around her neck, as a hamfisted and silly act of mock-courtship they both know is false. (it was kind of a... "we both know what this is all about and where it's headed, but wouldn't it be fun to play make-believe and pretend it's something entirely different" type of thing.)

I thought it'd be cute, if a touch bittersweet for her to keep it, just slotted away in her little "sentimental items" pouch, like.... next to the dog toy, her old wedding band, and the other useless junk she couldn't bring herself to throw away or sell.

and then today, i found this as I was selling stuff in the Glittering Gala.

it's the same design. and i like to describe Iona's eyes as "amber" when I write about them (they're kind of a reddish/yellowish, pretty medium brown). and she looks much better in golds and reds than she does in blues and silvers.

so. um.

guess who got this bloody thing "sneaked" into her inventory at the long rest.

if you think i won't 1.) exit a trading screen abruptly, 2.) switch controlled characters, 4.) buy a silly and utterly useless junk item AS that character (thought about just picking her pocket but.... we have 35k gold. why would i.), and 4.) keep it in that character's inventory until it "seems like" the PC isn't "paying attention", and then 5.) drop it into their inventory "unnoticed", all for LITERALLY NO GOOD REASON other than just to act out a silly little gesture and support the little fanfic in my head, well.

you'd be very wrong.

((and i was grinning and giggling downright embarrassingly the whole time too))

#squirrel plays bg3 #oc: iona raedir #“astarion isn't the type to do romantic gestures” false #“he does big thoughtful acts of courtship and sweeps the pc off their feet” also false #it is my belief that he isn't the type to do Big Flashy Romantic Things #and is also not the type to be vocal about them #my headcanon is that he'll do the Big Declarations and Theatrical Displays when he's taking the piss in some way #as in he'll joke and play at- and exaggerate courtship when it's all for fun and show and means nothing or very little #but when it's supposed to actually MEAN something; when it's REAL; then the ways he shows love are both small #and done without fanfare or expecting acknowledgement #not even making the slightest effort to keep hands to themselves even in public is fun of course; but the love?#that's in... a pilfered piece of that fruit she likes found randomly in her pack. a swift dagger batting aside a blade meant for her ribs #a small scratch of a pen's tip subtly marking a sweet passage in the book she “borrowed” from him #or in this case; it's something that she found among her things and put on without making a fuss about it #at least not beyond a knowing glance shared; a soft smile exchanged; and her fingers absently fiddling with the stones throughout the day #if she wasn't wearing the guidance-amulet (useful) i'd probably actually equip it on her like i did the silver one for the longest time ngl #because like i said; i'm a sentimental bitch playing make-believe with my little toys

The first Splatoon game turned 8 yesterday!

#the last (and first) time i drew anniversary art for the first game was when it turned 1 year #imna use the tags to be all sappy real quick:#ive been a huge fan of the splatoon series since the first game & have played it since day one #splatoon is the first time ive grown up with a game series from the beginning #like i knew it was gonna be a successful game that'd eventually grow and become a series w/ a cool fanbase #for first/third person shooter games (esp multiplayer)- i could never call myself a fan of those #but the moment splatoon debuted in an e3 trailer??? it took a concept i'd normally go meh to- but made it into smthn colorful/unique #like??? weeks after the announcement i was already gushing over what the lore would be in their universe #it got really tiring seeing all the hate it received- id watch ppl stream it out of interest and their chat'd be like uggh this ass title?#or id watch gamers do one single lets play of it and be like oh ok i can see how this game is fun (me assuming they'd doubt it's potential)#but to see how much splatoon as a series has grown has me kinda emotional ngl #like yeah sure theres still ppl outside the fandom who has (or still has since the 1st game) sour opinions about it #but ever since the fandom grew over those 8 years- it feels like the love for this series outshines that #but man.... i said this already on twt but i remember going to my first color run event locally w/ my family #(this happened weeks before the game came out btw) -but id have my phone out with the inklings on my screen #and id look at my phone & feel this happiness (that i havent felt in a while tbh) at being in an event that had a lot of colors in it #and at the time seeing all the powdered colors flying everywhere at the end of the race reminded me of splatoon sm i was like raaaaah #WOW SORRY FOR THE LONG TAGS LOL #BUT YEAH- I LOVE THIS SERIES (thats all i wanted to say)#splatoon #splatoon anniversary #splatoon 8th anniversary #fanart #loafbud
