We see the aviators Gideon wears as anachronistically modern for this archaic world, and Harrow reacts to them accordingly, but we must not forget that they are an ancient artefact, pre-resurrection. For all we feel like they mess with her Ninth image they must actually strengthen it to the other houses. This Ninth cultist is wearing ten thousand year old glasses to block out the light. I dare you to think of something more Ninth than that.

Underrated character growth throughout the sellswords trilogy is Artemis becoming weirdly smug about his unrequested makeover as soon as he can use it to be condescending at people he doesn't like.

okay but i absolutely adore the way riordan is taking the show as an opportunity to shine a different light on the gods’ victims and making them more relatable rather than petty. instead of wanting to turn percy into a statue for herself, medusa wanted to help him, save him from the gods who were using him like they used her. instead of framing hephaestus as an ugly grouch who just wanted to catch his wife cheating on him, hephaestus wanted to teach the gods a lesson and he helped annabeth because he related to her anger at the gods’ “kill or be killed” family dynamic. i just. this show

I know maybe some of us are grieving the gang losing their signature colours but can we talk abt how frida is slowly shifting into kaisa’s colour palette

watching the Percy Jackson show is funny for me bc I haven’t read the books BUT my younger sister read them and then all the other Rick riordan books and infodumped to me about them so I kind of know some things to expect. And I don’t trust anyone completely in this show. Trying not to have expectations. And seeing some other people who haven’t read the books but clearly don’t have the info I have has been very entertaining.

but yeah, I might actually read the books now. These kids might have me convinced
