Hello, I wondered if you wouldn’t mind sharing your thought on Chris/Ashley and where you think they might be going with these storylines? I always thought they existed simply to progress chenford but I’m not really sure now. And how do you feel about Chris himself? I’ve seen people say they think he’s got Lucy questioning herself and tbh I can see that.

i'll just start here by saying point blank: i don't really like to speculate publicly because as much as we'd all like to think we know what's going on...we don't, and it's a lot more enjoyable (to me, at least) to watch a show that i haven't totally figured out.

that being said, i really do not feel that chris or ashley are anything to worry about whatsoever, so i can speak on that.

also this isn't massively long, i just wanted to keep it shorter in the tag to give people the option not to have to scroll past a bunch of text!

yes, they both exist as love interests to further progress chenford, but moreover: they exist to further progress tim and lucy individually, and i think that's the piece a lot of people are missing. they've given us approximately 3 pieces of individual information about both of these characters...which is a good thing, we don't want them to be highly developed, interesting people. they've introduced their relationships in ways that serve the chenford story, they've been involved in plots that allow/incite chenford interaction, and they're non-existent (for the most part) outside the scope of their relationships. that's what you want in a mid-game love interest...blah-ness.

i will say, because i'm sure someone will point this out: yes, chris had a scene last ep wherein he was not with lucy, but with del monte...but that was specifically to serve the plot, and that makes sense to me – the way the last episode was crafted (beautifully, might i add) wove like six different small plots into one large plot, so seeing those two stand alone was just reinforcing things rather than fleshing out chris. if anything, it gave us more insight into del monte (who, truly, it is paining me not to be calling hot uncle cooper) than anybody else.

anyway: chris and ashley exist to serve the lucy and tim stories, respectively, so yeah – maybe you'll see chris pushing lucy one way or a story that is less about chenford and more about lucy, but at the end of the day, all of that is, imo, leading us towards the chenford we want. lucy's allowed to have a relationship that isn't with tim the same way tim is allowed to have a relationship that isn't with lucy! i would like them together just as much as the rest of you, but truly – trust me when i say we don't want it rushed. what we're asking for in looking for them to get together right now is...the wopez treatment. the john/bailey treatment. a check in at the beginning and a check in at the end, maybe a little interaction in the middle. i don't know about you, but i'd much rather see them in scenes together and working than have them sidelined.

i digress, tho, bc that was not your question.

i do think chris has lucy questioning herself a bit, and honestly? i think that's a good thing. chris is clearly not firm ground for her – and he shouldn't be, he's brand new. they're still learning each other, and i think knowing lucy (that she can be non-committal, that she's never been in a very serious relationship, etc.) and knowing that she is the type of person that questions herself easily...it doesn't seem all that long-haul. plus, the fact that she went to tim to see about chris' thoughts was truly cake...like, tell me you know that someone knows you well when you literally value their opinion over your significant other/potentially, in that moment, your own.

anywhoo, chris is fine in the same way ashley is fine. i don't care about them, i don't hate them, i'm just indifferent. they're literally just pitstops so i'm just like...alright! i'm happy to see lucy happy. i'm happy to see tim happy. it's just a part of the long game, you know?

december reading + top10 of the year

books.

a feast for crows, my main man grrm (#4 asoiaf) tbh i think this one is underrated - i understand feeling a bit underwhelmed on a first read bc it’s so much slower than asos & half the major characters aren’t in it & you get a bunch of new ones instead, but the thematic depth here! brienne seeing the devastation of the riverlands, thinking about outlaws & broken men & vigilante justice, sansa & arya both embarking on their apprentice arc & losing their identity in the process, the political intrigue in dorne, & the fucking hilarious shitshow that is cersei’s kings landing.... love it. 4.5/5

herkunft, saša stanišić (audio, sadly abridged) really good memoir/reflection about belonging, origin (national, ethnic, linguistic, familial, emotional), family, and living in germany as a refugee. it’s really smart, really heartfelt, really funny, and i’m sooo annoyed that my library only has the abridged version. oh yeah it won the german book prize shortly after peter ‘serbian war criminals’ #1 fanboy’ handke won the nobel prize, which was nice. 4/5

a brief history of seven killings, marlon james (uni) marlon james probably laughed his ass off at calling this 700-page book (very small print) a brief history. anyway, this is about the attempted assassination of bob marley in the 70s, the cultural and political context in jamaica at the time, and the fallout of that event. honestly, reading this on a tight schedule for uni was just wrong for this book bc i had to rush thru it & ended up skimming quite a bit. it’s an impressive achievement, but i can’t say i enjoyed it very much. 3/5

she would be king, wayétu moore a magical realist story about the foundation of liberia, told thru three characters - an indigenous woman, an ex-slave from the us, and a mixed-race jamaican - all of whom have magical abilities. i really wanted to like this, but while there are a lot of good ideas, structurally this is kind of a mess (the first part, which introduces the characters is way too long & not very interesting, the connection between the three is supposed to be super significant but it really doesn’t come across, one character gets way more page time than the others), the writing is occasionally p awkward, and there is an odd thing where the narrator (kinda a ghost, kinda the wind) intrudes literally only to call one of the characters her darling or whatever & it’s irritating af. 2.5/5

a dance with dragons, grrm (#5 asoiaf) tbh this is by far my least favourite of the series.... it’s just way too long, a bit of a slog (especially the tyrion chapters...) & there is not a single sansa chapter which is fucked up. a lot of the storylines are really good tho (jon, THEON, asha, jaime...). i ended up liking the parts i used to dislike a bit more this time around tho if i ever read it again i will probably do the combined affc+adwd read bc that sounds fun & interesting. 4/5

the sellout, paul beatty (uni) smart & pretty funny satire about the idea of a post-racial america, in which a black man in the LA region tries to segregate the local community. there’s a lot of cool stuff in here and i really liked the ambiguity & refusal to present any clear-cut answers, solutions, or closure. 3/5

tamburlaine must die, louise welsh fun little novella about the last days of kit marlow, which made for an entertaining 2 hours altho the ending is pretty weak imo & the language slips into entirely too modern occasionally. kinda disappointed because based on the blurb i’d assumed that tamburlaine actually, literally came to life out of marlow’s plays which. is not the case. but would have been super cool. 2/5

radiance, grace draven not to reveal how profoundly problematique i am: this is a book about a human noblewoman entering into an arranged political marriage with a dude from the off-brand dark-elves dynasty & it is. way too wholesome, there is little angst, ildiko & brishen get along very well from the start & like, where’s the fear, the tension, the delicious, delicious ANGST?? 2.5/5

water shall refuse them, lucie mcknight hardy atmospheric witchy folk horror set in a small village in wales during the '76 heat wave - narrator nif’s family comes to live in a cottage there to take some time off after the accidental drowning of nif’s younger sister - the mother is consumed by grief and guilt, the father is trying to hold everyone together, and nif is constructing a witchy creed out of bird eggs and bones and magical thinking to cope, comparing weird witchy practices with local outsider mally. i liked this & altho i saw the twist coming miles away, it still makes for a pretty disturbing ending, and the way the book evokes the dizzy blurry heat and nif’s state of mind - detached, angry, confused, compulsive - is really effective. 3.5/5

a knight of the seven kingdoms, george r.r. martin dunk! is! babey! (except for moments where he displays staggering BDE) anyway these are three novellas set about 100 years pre-asoiaf, about dunk/duncan the tall & his squire, egg/aegon, the OG secret targaryen. the stories are wholesome, funny, cute, have a lot of dunk being a true knight but not a real knight which is extra-sweet when you realise that he’s almost definitely true-but-not-real knight brienne’s (great?)grandpapa. 4.5/5

my cousin rachel, daphne du maurier philip ashley, our narrator, really is like ‘hmmm have i been misogynistic yet today?? better get on that’, he’s awful & so is his older cousin ambrose, who marries distant cousin rachel in florence & then gets ill and dies, making phil rather suspicious about rachel. did rachel poison ambrose? is she trying to seduce and/or poison philip? or are they both just paranoid assholes who hate women (they def. hate women)? this is some good psychological thriller type stuff, what we can construct out of philip’s distorted view of rachel is intriguing (and like, if she poisoned ambrose? #goodforher), the narrator is an ass but well-written, and the first/last lines.... chills. 3.5/5

Gladly! It’s not anything spectacular, but it’s a fun idea totinker around with, anyways ^^

So it’s basically just Until Dawn with all the UD charactersreplaced with the Pokemon characters and a few changes to the storyto fit around the world of pokeani, with the character roles going asfollows:

Ash - Josh

Misty - Sam

Brock - Mike

May - Ashley/Chris (interchangeably, ‘cause in some instances I want her to be in Ashley’s position, and in others, Chris’s, for reasons I’ll get into in a bit)

Dawn - Jessica

Jessie - Emily

James - Matt

Meowth - Chris/Ashley (same thing as May)

Pikachu - technically serving both the positions of Hannah and Beth, but namely Hannah

and then the old flamethrower man dude can be like an older, rugged Officer Jenny who’s long since retired lol

Oh, I should probably mention that everyone is in their 20′s orolder at the time of this au. Also, since I came up with this aubefore I watched XY (and I never bothered with BW whoops),unfortunately those travel companions will not be there. So let’sjust say, for the convenience of the story, that they had otherarrangements and couldn’t make it

From here on out, this is gonna get super LONG, and super SPOILERYFOR UNTIL DAWN. So if you don’t know jack diddly about UD, and youdon’t want to be spoiled, I’d recommend holding off on reading thisfor now. So I’m gonna put the rest under a read more so I ain’tclogging up anyone’s dash with my dumb au

So basically, instead of a bunch of rowdy college kids staying upat a cabin to party and sex each other all day and all night, it’sgonna basically be like this:

Ash won a pokemon league and became a pokemon master (finally),and won a cabin on top of Mount Silver…? I think was the place Iwanted him at…?

ANYWAYS, he’s celebrating, all his friends are there (at leastthe ones I mentioned above), they’re all having a fun dandy time,and eventually Ash conks out from exhaustion. During this time, whoelse but Team Rocket decides to stick their noses where they don’tbelong in hopes of ‘congratulating’ Ash by means of stirringup trouble and capturing Pikachu. (they do mean well, and they areactually super happy for him, butchaknow–they’re kinda the mastersat fucking things up royally)

As they’re trying to make their epic getaway, though, thesnowstorm outside blows them way off course, and they end up droppingPikachu just before they crash into the trees. They’re all fine,Pikachu included, but Pikachu’s a far ways away from the cabin now,and has to try and make it back on his own, cause the others sure asfuck ain’t gonna find him in this weather

On the way, though, some monstrosity catches sight of him andchases him to the edge of a cliff. Pikachu ends up falling off (Withthe old Officer Jenny trying to save him and failing), but hesurvives the fall. Unfortunately, he has no way of letting the othersknow of his location, since he’s so far out and so far down intothe depths of the mountain, so he’s deemed missing by theauthorities

Fast forward a year, and suddenly Ash is inviting everyone (TeamRocket included) back up to the cabin to celebrate the memory of hismissing/probably dead best friend. Everyone is a bit unsettled goingback, but go anyways, if only just to try and help out Ash in any waythey can.

A couple problems they notice through the night, though, are 1.Their pokeballs don’t seem to work (Ash claims that cell towersrecently put up on the mountain are messing with the technology) and2. There seems to be a certain bloodthirsty killer up on the mountainwith them :o

Throughout the night, the eight are eventually split up intopairs, partly because of their own volition, and partly because ofTeam Rocket being there and causing suspicion. For instance, Dawn haslike zero sympathy for the Trio and doesn’t want anything to dowith them, so Brock takes her up to the guest cabin. Jessie and Jamesgo out on their own (either exploring or James forgot a bag orsomething, I haven’t decided). Meowth doesn’t deem it necessaryto accompany them (the trip there wore him out, he claims–inreality, he’s just fucking lazy), so he sticks around with May,Misty, and Ash.

AND THAT’S WHEN SHIT GOES DOWN

Dawn and Brock are the first to be attacked, unbeknownst to theothers, and Dawn is presumed to be dead by Brock (shes fine tho) bythe time he reaches her. He then goes on a quest to find theperson(?) who hurt his friend to bring the great fist of JUSTICE downon them. The quest leads him through an abandoned pokemon hospitalwith a very shady past (which, admittedly, I haven’t put too muchthought into), and also delves into the mysterious transformation ofpokemon who have died into a very vicious and hostile ghost-typepokemon that has only ever been spotted on the mountain (and you cansee where this is going for a certain mouse pokemon who has beenmissing for over a year)

Back at the cabin, Misty takes a bath, and Ash, May, and Meowthplay with the spooky spirit board that tells them that Pikachu’sdisappearance was no accident, but was actually planned (which makesMeowth suuuuper uncomfortable and guilty). So Ash has anunderstandable reaction to this thing that he believes the other twohave made up in some attempt to make him feel better (?), and May andMeowth eventually get knocked the fuck out by Mr. Spooky Clown Man.

May wakes up a little later and finds that Ash and Meowth are bothmissing. After some searching, she finds them in a shed outside, bothtied to a wall with a buzzsaw aimed right at them. Mr. Spooky ClownMan comes over the intercom and tells May that she can only save oneof them from being ripped in two. So she’s sobbing cause shedoesn’t want to have to make this decision, Meowth’s sobbingbecause he knows that he ain’t the one she’s gonna choose, andAsh is sobbing because LOLL WHOOPS EVEN THOUGH MAY CHOOSES TO SAVEASH, SHE ENDS UP SAVING MEOWTH BECAUSE THE BUZZSAW SAYS SO

So uh. May’s super traumatized and heartbroken about watchingone of her best friends getting killed. But. She’s also growing ateensy bit suspicious of Meowth, seeing as how she distinctly choseto save Ash instead of him, and how Jessie and Jamesare conveniently away from the area during theattack and show up conveniently after said attack.So in her mind, she comes up with this elaborate hypothetical schemethat she believes the Rockets are planning, and tries to take theinitiative in stopping said plans by keeping Meowth along with herwhile she tells Jessie and James to go find help (under the guisethat she’s keeping Meowth with her as insurance that they don’tgo ditching everyone).

Jessie and James go on a little adventure over the mountains afterdiscovering that their balloon has mysteriously been torn to shredsand all the fuel has been mysteriously emptied out. After discoveringthat the cable car house leading up to the cabin is in shambles, thetwo come across a radio tower. They manage to get a hold of somehelp, but that’s when the tower decides to suddenly keel over andtrap them in the mines, oh fun!! In the mines, Jessie is holding onfor dear life to the rail of the tower, and James tries to pull herup, but can’t reach her. He asks if she trusts him, and that hebelieves he will have a better chance at reaching her from the ledgebehind her. She hesitantly says yes, and allows him to jump, but thejump is the last bit of force needed to send the tower tumbling tothe abyss, Jessie along with it. YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW FUCKINGDISTRAUGHT JAMES IS.

Jessie’s fine tho. Turns out she got caught in the wires duringthe fall, and manages to make it to safety afterwards. Then she goeson a spectacular, fun filled adventure through the mines discovering bits and pieces asto what happened to Pikachu after he went missing, and also runninginto Rugged Ol’ Jenny.

May keeps her suspicions to herself until the very end of the Mr.Spooky Clown Man escapades, where they’re both put into anotherdeath trap, and Meowth ends up being the one with the gun. Then itall comes out, and you can imagine how pleased Meowth is to hear thatthe only reason May separated him from his friends and quite possiblygot both of his friends killed during this horrific night was becausethat she thought they devised this whole thing.

THEEENN THE TRUTH COMES OUT, AND MR.SPOOKY CLOWN MAN IS ACTUALLY ASH, WHO’S APPARENTLY LOST HIS SHITAFTER LOSING PIKACHU. SO UM. HE’S FUCKING PISSED AT TEAM ROCKET FORTAKING PIKACHU AND PROBABLY GETTING HIM KILLED. AND HE’S ALSO FUCKINGPISSED THAT HIS FRIENDS DID PRETTY MUCH NOTHING TO HELP PIKACHU.

IT’S DURING THIS TIME THAT MISTY ANDBROCK MEET UP WITH EACH OTHER, THEN MEET UP WITH THOSE THREE.

YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW FINE AND DANDYEVERYONE IS TO HEAR THAT THEY’VE JUST BEEN THROUGH THE WORST NIGHT OFTHEIR LIVES JUST FOR A STUPID PRANK THAT ASH DECIDES TO PULL ON THEMIN A SICK FORM OF REVENGE.

Anyhoo, Brock breaks the news thatDawn’s fucking dead (supposedly), he and Misty decide that Ash is notallowed to be on his two feet for the rest of the night until helparrives, and Meowth decides, ‘fuck you guys, you’re all awful, immago find my friends’

During which time, Jessie manages tomake it back to the cabin after being attacked by the Hostile GhostPokemon, and Rugged Ol’ Jenny is not far behind, quite literallycarrying Meowth back with her, cause 'nah you’re not allowed to beout on your own at this time of night—dontcha know there bemonsters?’

Annnnnnnnnnd the rest of the storybasically pans out just like how Until Dawn pans out.

SORRY THIS WAS SO LONG. I JUST NEEDEDTO PUT IN MY CHANGES IN ORDER FOR EVERYTHING TO MAKE SENSE. BUT YEAH.THAT’S MY DUMB UNTIL DAWN AU.

I partly reallllllly wanna write itout, but also—that would require writing out and reworking thebackstory of the penitentiary/mines. And also somehow incorporatinga sense of choice in the story. Which I don’t think I have the skillto do lol

I have some ideas about possibleoutcomes, such as what it’s like if a character dies, if some die butnot others, if no one dies, or the emotional and eventual impact ofsaid deaths (for example, if Brock shoots Jessie after discoveringthat she has been bitten by Hostile Ghost Pokemon, Meowth will be soovercome with shock and grief and anger that he’ll lose allsensibility and rational thought, which will eventually lead to hisown demise at the hands of a Hostile Ghost Pokemon mimicking James’svoice; versus if Brock doesn’t shoot her, and both Rockets are justsuper livid and untrusting of the twerps for the rest of the nightand Meowth has enough sense to make good decisions about suspiciousJames-sounding monstrosities), but I won’t put y'all through any moreof that lol

While I don’t plan on having this beingsuper shippy, I plan to have mentions/small discussions ofPokeshipping pining (possibly, haven’t decided whether I want thisone or not), Lustshipping, Contestshipping, Appealshipping,Rocketshipping pining, and Krazyshipping pining (lol whoops)

I also have a couple other au’s withinthe au, one of which Meowth takes the position of Beth and fallsalong with Pikachu at the beginning, and another where Pikachu iswith the group and someone completely different falls. But both ofthose au’s are very underdeveloped; this is the only one I’ve put any real thought into lol

but yeah. I think I’ve said all I cansay about this. It’s a dumb idea, but I think putting charactersthrough horrible situations is a great way to explore their psycheand toy around with what kind of decisions they might make instrenuous situations. Or at least I like to tell myself that in orderto justify myself for putting my favorite characters through absolutehell and back.

Chapter 5

Shay

“Damn babe you too wet, I’m bout to cum” Keith whispered in my ear as he visibly tried his hardest not to let the feeling get the best of him. Again.

Sex with Keith has been different lately and I HATE IT. I don’t know what’s been going on with him but he cums fast. It’s been happening since summer break, but that wasn’t often and it was because we weren’t having sex a lot. Now it’s almost every time. It’s so frustrating.

It’s a white bandeau choker dress, meAning that it’s a choker connected to the bandeau bra part of the dress with is connected to the skirt part. I immediately called one of my best friends Kammy to show her the dress.

“Hi there” she answered the FaceTime.

“Okay so check this out, my dress sucks. I need your help. Can you bring safety pins and invisible straps so I can try to fix this” I said to her as I showed her the dress and everything I didn’t like about it.

We continued to talk about hoco and what she was wearing as well. She told me that her and our other best friend Ashley would for sure be coming on Wednesday. They’ll be staying in my room so I have to make sure I clean up. I can be a bit messy. I also have to tell Keith before he tries to come stay the night.

Other than my dress, everything for hoco is working out perfectly. My best friends are coming. I have all my outfits planned, I just hope we have a good time. We’re doing everything. My bffs are coming Wednesday so Kammy can do my hair and then we can go out to the thirsty Thursday parties.

Luckily for me, the safety pins and invisible straps worked for the dress. I mean it could’ve been better but it’s okay. It’s the night of the Rec party, where we all put on our best outfits so we can show off. Black student union and the Greeks put this party on so it’s gonna be lit.

My hair is curled and I decided on a mostly natural face. I just put on eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, and lipstick. I decided on olive green heels to go with my dress. Im basically dressed, I’m just waiting on Ashley. She’s the slowest out of all of us because she always waits until the last minute to eat.

“What’s going on after the Rec party, y'all heard of anything?” Kammy asked.

“Nope but it better be something, cause a bitch ready to shake her ass all night you feel me?!” Ashley said holding her bottle of Hennessy in the air.

“Man honestly I haven’t heard of nothing. Not even kickbacks.” I said. It’s true, this homecoming doesn’t seem to be as hype as previous years. I started looking on Instagram for any fliers and I still didn’t see anything pertaining to tonight. So I decided to FaceTime Chris. I haven’t talked to him in a while, but he always has the moves so he is my best bet.

“What’s up Shaaayyy” he answered in a sing song manner.

“Haha, hi Chris. What are you doing”

“Shay you look beautiful..”

“Thank you, Chris. You looking pretty good yourself.” I replied as we began to stare at each other like high school kids. Just smirking and shit.

“Anyways what’s on your agenda tonight you going to the rec party or what? You know of anything going on after?” I broke the silence.

“Nope, you know that’s not my scene. But I’m not too sure what’s going on tonight. I just been chilling with my niggas. I’ll let you know if I find something though”

We conversed a bit more than we got off the phone.

“So who was that?” Ash asked. I told her and she said she remembered him from freshman year. Ashley stopped going to school after our freshman year.

“You still ain’t talked to Keith huh?” Kammy asked.

“Girl no. Idk what’s up with him. I talked to him earlier but he been acting weird since I told him y'all was gone be staying in my room. We only been texting and it’s been short.” I said

I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t know if he’s giving me space since my friends are here or what. He’s not going out so I know that could be a reason but that doesn’t mean be cold to me. I hate that. Other guys calling me beautiful while you out here acting like I don’t exist. Smh.

I sent Keith a picture of me so he can know what I look like before heading out. I like to send him pictures so that he doesn’t see it first on Instagram. He told me “cute, be safe and have fun 😘” Better than nothing. I continued to text him of course. He’s playing the game with his friends over some drinks. I’m glad he not sitting around, I would’ve started to feel bad.

After Ashley, Kammy, and I finished up we headed to the Rec for the party. It wasn’t as packed as previous years but it was still fun. Me and my girls was fine as wine and that’s what mattered most.

“Chris can me and my best friend come to your crib so we can smoke?” I asked as Kammy and I walked out of the football stadium. It was about to rain and we definitely didn’t want to get caught up in that. Ashley stayed with her other friends.

Chris said we could come through so we did just that. When we got there he greeted me with the best hug as usual. Kammy rolled up immediately, she’s the smoker of our group. We then went upstairs to his room. Chris stays with 4 other guys in this massive house. It has three floors and Chris lives at the very top.

I got comfortable on his bed and Kookie sat next to me. It was just us, Chris, and his homie Jay who was asleep on his floor. Supposed jay had a rough morning.

Chris started to direct his conversation more towards me. He came and squeezed his way in between Kam and I just to be next to me. It was cool and innocent but it was short lived. Like 5 people were heard coming up the stairs and Chris jumped up when he seen it was one of his good friends. They were all in the hall laughing and talking. Then they proceeded downstairs while Kammy and I remained upstairs. As 10 minutes passed Kammy asked “Did that nigga forget we was up here or something?”

“Nah. He couldn’t. Chris ain’t like that” I replied. He couldn’t possibly forget that I was up here.

Five minutes later, I asked kam if she was ready to go and she said yes. Right on cue, Chris walks in and says “Ohhhhh shit Shay. I forgot y'all was up here my bad, y'all gone?”

I know for a fact that Kammy is thinking I’m a dumb ass. I just spoke highly of this man just for him to actually forget my existence for 15 minutes.

I told him it was cool and we were indeed leaving. He apologized once more and walked us out, making sure to tell me to text him later.

I know I’m feeling Chris a little…. cause ain’t no way I would’ve let another guy get close to me like he did today and I definitely wouldn’t have waited for him to remember I was in his room. I gave him a huge benefit of the doubt. Chris is cool though, it’s hard to deem his as anything other than a good guy. So maybe I’m not feeling him, maybe I’m just trying not to jump to conclusions and say he wants me. He probably doesn’t. He knows I’m in a relationship. He knows. He’s respectful.

Kammy and I went back to my building and took a much needed nap. I got up early to work desk and kam just gets up early period. It was almost 6 o'clock so we decided we'd get up at 8:30pm.

We got ready and ended up going to this block party that was extremely dead. No one was really there. I mean there was no block party at all, it was basically just people standing around looking stupid. We left and went to this football kickback that my friends on the team were throwing.

Kammy ended up getting one of the finest players on the teams number. I was excited for her cause that man is really drop dead gorgeous and she needs some dick. I told her it was time to have a one night stand, I mean she needed it. It's been nearly a year for her. So I let her have my room and I went to Keith's place for the night.

I'm a good friend, right? 😋

Examining Hannah’s relationships w/ the entire group: a novel by me.

So, for obvious reasons, the automatic assumption is that everyone in the group is friends with Hannah and so Hannah is crushing on her good friend Mike and by doing so she’s betraying her good friend Emily and etc etc.

Except nonononono. Oversimplification !!!

Here’s why ok:

1. If you look in Hannah’s Diary, it says that Mike calls Josh about confirmation that he’ll be at the party. Sure, he could be friends with all of them, but based on Beth’s relationships (he’s the third lowest) that doesn’t really seem to be the case. I’m not saying Mike (or anyone in the group, really) dislikes the twins, I’m just saying they’re not besties the way everyone thinks so. And, clearly, based on what we’ve seen from the group, they don’t all love each other ? So would it be so suprising if Hannah & Beth were treated more as “my friend’s sisters” than actual friends

2. Truthfully, nobody in the group seems all that upset by the twins disappearance. Everyone is definitely feeling guilty, and a little freaked out to be on the mountain again, but besides Sam, Josh, & (maybe) Chris, the rest of the group doesn’t really...seem to care much about the twins as people, they just sorta limit themselves to talking about the twins in reference to the prank. That’s just not how you talk about someone you knew & cared for. Plus, most of the characters can be pretty dismissive about the twins if you play the game that way.

Anyways, moving on.

So, to find out Hannah’s relationship with people, I went mainly to Beth’s & Josh’s relationships. Beth’s relationships are as follows:

Hannah

Josh

Sam

Jess

Chris

Mike, Matt (tied)

Ashley, Emily (tied)

And Josh’s (this is towards the end of the game so it might not be totally accurate but it’s all we got okay)

Chris

Sam, Ashley, Jess (tied)

Mike

Emily

Matt

So, obviously the high relationship with Sam can be attributed to the fact that she’s Hannah’s best friend, thus very close with both Washingtons, && I’ve seen it speculated that Beth & Jess were pretty close (maybe not best friends but still enough that Josh would have a p. high relationship w/ Jess despite no interaction in-game except for that one bit in the very beginning.

Josh’s high relationship with Ashley can be attributed to the fact that Chris likes her, so they probably hang out in a group a lot. Beth’s low relationships with Ashley, Mike & Chris probably also have to do with the fact that they’re Josh’s friends, not hers, so she just doesn’t know them all to well.

But what’s interesting is that for both of them, Emily & Matt are pretty low. SO NOW let’s go to Matt’s relationships:

Jess & Em (tied)

Ashley

Chris, Josh, Mike (tied)

& Em’s:

Matt & Mike (tied)

Sam

Ash, Chris (tied)

So like the relationships of Em/Jess & Mike/Matt are clearly different bc of the whole relationship bs so ignoring all those, Matt is really close to Jess, which means they were probably friends pre-prank, along with Emily (”I’m just lookin’ out for my girl Em”)

So, basically, the group probably formed like this, or something of the like:

Josh&Hannah&Beth are your foundation of the group and I’ll explain everyone’s entrance into the group from there.

Chris&Sam are Josh&Hannah’s best friends. Simple enough.

Mike is a friend of Josh’s. They’re not super close, but Hannah probably urges Josh to invite him all the time.

Jessica is a close friend of Beth’s. Emily is a friend of Jess’s, but also Mike’s girlfriend. nuff said.

Ashley is friends with both Chris & Josh.

Ashley & Jess have a mutual friend, Matt, which also is probably how he ended up meeting Emily. Through Jess. Amazing, I know.

ANYWAYS.

So Hannah’s relationships. Based on all this blab I got. Is probably something similar to;

Beth

Mike

Matt, Ashley, Emily

and now an explanation on everyone;

Beth: On Beth’s, Hannah’s bar is totally & completely filled, so. Yeah.

Josh: I figure Hannah’s relationship to Josh would be p. much identical to Beth’s with Josh & It’s almost full, too. Easy easy.

Sam: #confirmed bestie. I figure they’d probs be a lil past the halfway point on the relationship bar.

Chris: Josh’s best friend since Hannah was in like 1st or 2nd grade ?? So she’s basically known the dude her whole life he’s probably like a second brother. They’re probs right at the halfway point.

Jess: Yeah probs a lil less than halfway. They’re probs just casual pals. Nothin srs.

Mike: Listen. Why is Mike so low. Because. Hannah might be totes heart eyes over Mike, but I feel like this is more about a mutual relationship thing, in which case ?? They’re not really close so he’d be just a smidge under Jess. Barely. Hardly noticeable.

Matt, Ashley, Emily: Just like a quarter of the way on the chart. They’re friends of friends. She doesn’t really know them. She might think they’re coolish ? She might not like them? She hardly knows them enough to care tho.

Anyways.

So basically what I’m sayin is that nobody in this group has ever been besties with everyone else & acting like hannah&beth were is just kinda weird.

& I might be totally wrong you know but i spent like a whole day looking at everyone’s relationships & this is what I got k cool see you around kiddos bye.
