notes: the long-awaited second part to 'hush hush'! this was the most voted wip to work on, next piece will be too far gone which was the second most popular xx happy valentines week loves!

IT WENT ON FOR about a week.

Your teammates pestered you all throughout camp about who gave you your engagement ring, and most importantly, how you kept it a secret for so long.

You gave them bits and pieces. Oh, we've been together for a few years now, but we've just kept it private..... She's super busy lots of the time, really hectic work schedule...... We played soccer together growing up.... You just didn't relay that you still play together. That your fiancee actually captains you.

Sam was enjoying every moment of it. She loved the secrecy, she adored watching her teammates pull their hair out over it. Chids had a whole shared notes app dedicated to adding information about your dubbed, 'mystery woman'. Sam revelled in her new title.

She was feeling extra cheeky, there was no denying that. Sam was at her peak watching everyone scramble around, listening as you slipped out little pieces of information of your relationship together.

Did you feel guilty that you hadn't told your team? Sure. But you and Sam never really felt the need to. They're your family, you love them with your whole heart- but this was one thing you and Sam just wanted for yourselves.

"Well I want to help plan your hens night," Alanna shrugged. The topic of your secret engagement had come up again after dinner one night.

"No because I'm not going unless you tell us!" Macca argued from her spot on the beanbag, Harper on her lap. You laughed, crossing your arms and putting your feet up on the couch.

"We can do without the numbers, Mac" You waved her off.

"Hey Y/N?" Ellie walked into the lounge area looking for you. "Can I grab my pre-wrap from you tonight please? I wanna start packing for Queensland,"

"Always punctual as usual" Mini chirped from her place on the couch, your feet resting in her lap.

"Shut up" Ellie quipped.

You chuckled, "Yeah, let me go grab it". You headed off towards your room and managed to pinch Sam's ass on your way past her, distracting her from the in-depth conversation she was having with Steph.

You chuckled as she tried her best to ignore you, but you knew she could never. Once you got into your room, it was only a matter of seconds before Sam followed you in. She crept up behind you and snaked her arms around your waist, tickling you as she squeezed you tight.

"You're cheeky, hey" She laughed, kissing your cheek as you giggled and tried to push your way out of her grasp. She moved her way down to your neck and you tried your best not to squirm in pleasure, knowing that at any second anyone could come-

"Aunny Sammy and Y/N are kissing!"

Your heart dropped and you pulled apart from Sam. You both turned around to see Harper standing in the doorway, pointing at you and Sam who she had just caught in the act.

"Mummy!" She ran off, yelling down the hallway.

"Harps, Harper! No!" You called after her, running down the hallway. She was surprisingly fast for a near-three year old. By the time you managed to find her she was already halfway through relaying to your team what she had seen.

"They kiss! Sam and Y/N kiss like Mum and Mummy!" She smiled looking back over to you. Sam had now come up behind you, a guilty look on her face, your lipgloss smeared on her lips.

"Skip.." Mary spoke up, slowly looking from you to Sam. "Is that true? Did you kiss Y/N?" She asked a shocked look on her face. The rest of your team looked at you both in silence.

Sam begrudenly crossed her arms over her chest and nodded her head shyly, a smile breaking out on her lips. "She just got engaged, Sam.. Not cool" Mary shook her head.

"Oh my god," Alanna erupted.

"Are you serious Maz?"

"Jesus fucking Christ" Mackenzie put her head in her hands with a sigh.

"What?" Mary held up her hands, looking from everyone back to you both. Sam chuckled and stepped forwards, holding up your hand that dawned your shiny new engagement ring.

You saw the cogs turn in her head before they finally clicked. "Oh my god!" She screamed, rushing over to congratulate you both. The girls all followed suit, shouting at you both for keeping it a secret from them all for so long.

"I can't believe you!" Alanna hugged you from behind, her arms around your neck.

"I don't kiss and tell, Kennedy!" You smiled as you watched Sam explain to your team how she proposed. You were so happy to finally have your team in on your secret. It just made it all that much sweeter.

I use Google Tasks to run pretty much my whole life, but because it's easily accessible and I know it's the thing I will look at multiple times a day, I also sometimes use it to take notes. If I'm in conversation with someone at a party and they recommend a book, for example, I'll drop the title into Google Tasks and the next day I'll check my to-do list, see the book title, and add it to my library queue.

Last night I took an edible and had a relaxing evening, and this morning I woke up to find a line item in Google Tasks reading:

"What if Askazer-Shivadlakia had a royal poisoner?"

Which I will say did make me laugh.

Obviously neither Michaelis nor Gregory kept an assassin on retainer (we can't be sure of Jason). And one does have to be careful when introducing plotlines to do with subterfuge when you are discussing a predominantly Jewish country with a Jewish royal family. So I'm not even saying that the royal poisoner was ever a poisoner. Besides, that's much more a Catholic thing (see: Borgias, Medicis).

But I do think it would be funny to do a story eventually about someone whose job is basically to quietly and without fuss solve difficult, time-consuming problems for the Palace -- some issue that is bothering Gregory but Alanna doesn't have time for and Jerry isn't equipped to fix, so they call in a specific staff member who exists to do the legal and necessary but unpleasant work to solve it.

Realistically their job title would be something like Director of Technical Operations for the Office of the King but whoever holds the job absolutely refers to themself dramatically as the Royal Poisoner.

"I take care of whatever is bothering the king, quietly and discreetly, and I leave no trace behind."

Eddie's like "Gregory, I love and trust you so this is not a dealbreaker for the marriage, but who have you had murdered," and Gregory's like "One, thrilled to know murder isn't a dealbreaker for you. Two, I have never had anyone murdered, the last thing they did for me was sorting out a voting scandal in one of the northern districts to prevent someone stealing an election."

I don't know if you frequent WoT Twitter at all but every year Wheel Takes podcast hosts a March Madness bracket called the Grinwell Cup (named for Else being thirsty about Rand and Mat) and the goal is to vote for the hottest WoT character. In today's voting Gawyn is actually getting considerable votes and I thought you should know about it

AS HE FUCKING SHOULD!!!!! i don't have any foot in the door of WOT twitter (slash twitter at all, i barely follow anyone and i have 0 posts and just about the only thing i use it for is stalking wotseries and occasionally geekyeri to look for show news jdkfjg), so thank you for alerting me to the existence of this poll so i could zoom over to vote for my boy! unfortunately for him he's in the same bracket as min aka The Prime Object Of WOT Fandom Horniness For 20 Years, but as long as he can at least beat out taim (which he is currently doing! my boy's got 15% of the vote!), i will be content. if mazrim "rancid vibes" taim ends up being voted hotter than gawyn i will call a lawyer. i cannot, however, object to narishma being voted hotter than gawyn, because narishma is a hot king and this is the truth.

Yeah you’re right it would honestly be a huge upset if anyone else even managed to make it that far. Hopefully it was seeded well so they match up in finals instead of semifinals. The two hydrogen bombs in a sea of coughing babies. Although I gotta say I love the additions of shizun fuckers outside of Chinese media fandoms. I hope Yuuri makes it at least a couple rounds, truly inspired submission whoever did that one. Sadly I don’t know if tortall has enough pull for Daine to get anywhere but I am Hoping. She deserves it. Daine and Numair are theeeee most narratively satisfying Tamora Pierce romance in my opinion, closely followed by Alanna’s daughter and her crow-turned-human boyfriend.

Mo Ran should win but I know he’s not going to just because 2ha has been denied a successful adaptation so far. But he fits the trope better! Tbh!!! There’s a reason why modern au bingqiu fics sometimes make Shen Yuan a TA or something but modern au ranwan writers always gotta make chu wanning mo ran’s professor or something, just for the accurate vibes.

Oh my god I just remembered that I’m pretty sure the 2ha translation is fully out now, the last volume was in December, I gotta read the whole thing ASAP now that it’s entirely available.

Hello folks, Miyazaki here! Hope your holiday season is off to a great start–Thanksgiving was a whirlwind for me, but a tremendously fun time with friends and family. I’m coming out of my leftovers-induced daze to bring an update on what the team accomplished during November. There’s a lot of new content, so strap in and let’s get started!

We’re back with another Beast Design Contest! We’re looking forward to all the fantastic creations that this community comes up with.

Here are the parameters:

Hiring Freelance Artist

Earlier this month we made a post looking for freelance illustrators to work on Mythaura assets. Previously we had only had the opportunity open to residents of the United States due to concerns about differing international contractor laws. We’re happy to share that we have now extended this opportunity to artists based outside of the United States as well! International applicants are more than welcome to apply.

Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

Create and deliver PSD files that meet the creative brief.

Work with our senior artists and writers to ensure visual consistency.

Regularly demonstrate and update your work in progress.

Follow creative & technical briefs with regard to schedule.

Accurately quote and then produce work within the quoted timeframe.

Actively participate in an online team environment (currently Discord & Asana).

Required Skills and Experience

Must be able to match Mythaura’s 2D cel-shaded style.

Must be familiar with masks, layers, and templates. Photoshop expertise is a strong - plus but not mandatory so long as your program of choice can open and save in PSD format.

Real-world understanding of proportion, depth, scale, and physical space. A strong understanding of coloring and shading, and an accurate understanding of animal anatomy.

Organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to maturely handle critiques and change requests.

Code Updates

Items purchased through the Ko-fi shop will now automatically show in the reward lookup tool (with the exception of sponsored items, which still need to be created first).

Fix for tooltips and dropdowns to not clip over edges.

Fix for breeding demo always using one parent’s specials in some cases.

Fixed a bug where the reward lookup tool would sometimes have to be closed twice before it would actually close.

The menu can now stay open and be collapsed at will.

Adjustments to headers and text to make them easier to read.

Fixed a bug that made it so some emails would not work in the lookup tool.

Added tiered species rarity to the breeding predictor, making it so higher-tier hybrids show up less often when bred to a lower-tier partner.

I finally found a Tamora Pierce themed url I liked for a potential sideblog (sirkeladry) but then I remembered an esoteric blog post I read from like 2007 that said that “Alanna prefers Sir because she was making a point. Kel prefers Lady Knight because she’s making a different point.” and I do really like that so I’m trying to decide if that invalidates my liking the URL or not. Bc it’s a url not like a document of title.

Before you ask ladyknightkeladry is both taken and longer than I like a url to be.

Gonna add a little context so you can weigh in even without knowing the books, though idk if anyone will really be curious enough to read this and vote:

The books in question are the Song of the Lioness quartet, about Alanna, who dresses as a boy to become the first “Lady Knight,” and the Protector of the Small quartet, which follows the story of Kel, who is able to become a knight because of Alanna’s success in proving women deserve a place in knighthood. There’s a big theme in Kel’s book about Kel making sure she is treated with respect as both a page/squire/knight and a girl, not in spite of being a girl. Alanna proves her point by concealing her gender, and Kel builds on that point by proclaiming it.

It seems like Vandene and Verin have been combined which I think is a fascinating and potentially compelling choice. Adeleas's angst will be extra layered in irony.

If Alanna's going to do her bad deed, one of the Warders has got to go, and I'm voting for it to be Maskim.

I am agog over Rand. Shacking up dysfunctionally with the Daughter of the Night! Becoming an orderly in an insane asylum to speak with Logain. And going through it with Ishamael in his dreams. And on that note -! the Aes Sedai send their gentled men to an insane asylum! in Cairhien! a grim fate. Wonder what the blademaster did to end up there.

Logain and his bargaining ways, love it! He's showing all the sad feels Moiraine is lashing out about.

Re. Ishamael: Now that's a real source of wolf repression for Perrin!

And of course, Uno! I couldn't believe it. Rafe was right I did not see that coming. What are we going to do without our favorite, filthy-mouthed soldier?

You have the location of the building she is in, and infiltrate there knowing it is likely a trap. The computer turns on the moment you step close to it, showing you Grace, then it cuts to… Who?

BEFORE VOTING: People with * are extras. If any of them wins they will appear as a potentail ally/foe, and the main antagonist will be the 2nd option with most votes and no *Ex: if Alanna is 1st and then the Entity, both will appear in the story. If the Entity is 1st and Alanna second, just the Entity will appear and you won't have her as a potential ally/foe

ok, while I adore Circle of Magic, you have to also include at least one Tortall quartet too; I vote Immortals, but still. Tortall is just more popular than CoM because scholastic won't reprint CoM >.>

I said this to the other person, but I am THE Tamora Pierce fan. If she has a hundred fans, I'm one of them. If she has one fan, it's me. If she has no fans, I'm gone. I will always put her books on my lists! I'm thinking of doing the main three for Tortall (Alanna, Daine, and Kel), especially because I structured half my personality around Protector of the Small. Maybe I'll figure out an elimination round if we don't want to end up with her as half the competition lol

Also, from previously mentioned new short story, the fam gets wind of Baby Gay Gregory having to do market research on his own sexuality...

"I don't know what the big deal is about us putting up a poll," Noah said. "Michaelis said that Gregory did it when he was my age."

Gregory shot a look at his father, who shrugged.

"What I did was commission covert market research because I was having a sexuality crisis," Gregory said. "I didn't blast it out publicly to every person with a phone in the entire country."

"Wait, back up," Alanna said. "When did you have market research about your sexuality done?"

"That's definitely a poll I would have wanted to vote in," Jes said.

"It's not important -- " Gregory saw he was going to lose this fight and sighed, sitting down. "When I was younger I wanted to, you know, be sure that if I was out and ran for king I'd still have a chance. So I had Comms take some soundings. Quietly and privately," he said.

"Well, fuck, that's way less funny than I'd hoped," Jerry said. "What'd you get back?"

"Ninety one percent in favor of, and none of this is important right now," Gregory retorted.

"I think it's important," Joan piped up. "That's pretty cool of us, ninety one percent, but we gotta find that other nine percent and deport them."

"We don't deport people for being dickheads," Noah said.

"Sadly," Eddie added.

"Yet," Joan said darkly.

So Heyy it’s me again and yes I’ve started writing all the requests I have been sent but I won’t be taking anymore because randomly I came up with an idea to do like an abc alphabet series thing so starting with a and will do a fic for a footballer with that name .

So i have a few ideas for each letter in my notes but when I start writing for them I will let you guy vote for who you want out of the options for that letter if that makes sense !

Like for A - Alanna Kennedy, Alex Morgan, Asisat Oshoala, Ada hergerberg and if you have got any more for that letter than I have missed .

But once I have decided on the player for each player, you can give me requests for that fic you’d like
