Palpatine: My boy, I'm afraid to report that Master Kenobi is very likely sleeping with your wife.
Anakin, who knows for a fact that Obi-Wan is sleeping with his Commander, a good chunk of Ghost company, the Organas and Quinlan Vos: ...where is he finding the fucking time???
Palpatine, oblivious: Oh I've heard from some very reliable sources that-
Anakin: *pulls out a spexcel spreadsheet, the 3rd System Army's shared spoogle calender and a calculator*
Anakin: Your Excellency. That's just. not logistically possible.

boba fett's childhood is such an untapped goldmine of uncanny existential horror, even before he loses his father.
like, imagine growing up never seeing another child except those that are identical to you—carbon copies in every way, except their heads are shaved, they're plugged into machines all day, and they never stay children for very long. the ones that survive turn into men who look like your father, but your father calls them cattle, cannon fodder.
you're a clone, too. you should be cattle like them, but your father doesn't call you those things. he says you're his real son and that he loves you.
your father loves you. this is what distinguishes you from the cattle and the canon fodder. your father loves you and that's what makes you a person.
and :) then :) he :) fucking :) dies :)

btw cause I think some people still need to hear this, but the rose colored glasses coming off and the ‘revision’ to the meanings of her songs about joe was always gonna happen. with travis around or not. so saying she should focus on her new relationship is not the dunk you were thinking it is. like I keep saying it but she wrote him into her world, she included him in the world she wrote music in, and when she needed to, she wrote him out. why would he get to stay when he hasn’t earned that anymore? she would have kept him in, she even would have left the bad stuff in a box, but he didn’t seem like he wanted that part of her life. please can we all just realize that this is just such a normal reaction and end to a relationship and Taylor doesn’t need to ‘take the high road’ or whatever just because she’s in a new relationship. the reckoning of what happened was always going to be closing the chapter of the story she wrote for them. she’s releasing it whether you’re ready to reckon with her or not.

I feel like we as a fandom had a lot of this conversation during Campaign 2 but redemption, however you may interpret it, is a process. It is not a binary of redeemed and not redeemed. And in the world of a D&D actual play, a lot of the hard decisions really come down to "is the harm this person did actively ongoing, or is it a past action with ongoing ramifications" and "will they stop doing this continued harm quickly enough for it to matter." It sounds cold to say that it's a risk-benefit analysis, but on some level, it has to be be. I think Bor'Dor was likely redeemable in some abstract sense, but could Team Issylra do it with the time and resources they had without risking their own lives? Probably not. I think the same is true with Liliana: if they had months in which to do this - and they have been contacting her on and off for a couple months, and every effort failed - maybe, but the clock's run out.

The elder men spoke low. They took a vote and said no. They turned around real slow. Where did they go? Where did they go? And the question oh, the question: can the kid keep his eyes, if the fire doesn't die? They said no.

I wonder when the Noldor looked around at their dwindling numbers and realized that they were dying faster than they could ever keep up with.

The fact that they never took Tech to a space casino to hustle people at cards is such Bullshit they could have made so much money in a single night doing that .
Phee babysits Omega for them and they all go to space Las Vegas and it just turns into the Star Wars version of The Hangover
Like it would be so funny cause it would probably just look like this

Captain America: Civil War pisses me off so much. (I know i just said i love this movie and i do but man it pisses me off)
Like what do you mean you want to hand over control to the people who’s *in the words of the great Nick Fury* stupid ass decision was to NUKE NEW YORK in response to Loki’s attack

I feel like An Anakin free from palpys influence, would take to being a parent like he does with most things.
Competent. But so very goofy.
Anakin leaves the jedi order and commits to being a the malewife to Padmè's chancellor.
You can often catch The Hero With No Fear walking around the senate rotunda baby talking at the twins. He's got them both in papoose. And about 5 different toys swirling around his head to distract the babies while he fishes out the perfect temperature bottles out of his bag because it's feeding time and hes not going to mess up their feeding schedule because it might cause issues with the nap schedule.
Dude trips over his feet and instead of catching himself with the force so none of them get hurt he just holds the babies in the air while he face plants right in front of padmè's office.
The first time he puts the twins in different papoose' after they can hold their own heads up he forgets he's got one of them on his back.
And spends a good 5 minutes freaking out in the living room before padmè tells him that he's got both babies and leia's just right there anakin oh my gods.
Leia takes a bit longer to walk than luke does and Anakin is losing his shit over all the parenting books. He's going stir crazy even though everyone tells him some babies walk later and it's ok.
Turns out Leia could walk as early as luke did but liked being held and carried everywhere 😌 and now he's just never letting her go.

So my dad does this thing where he watches Revenge of the Sith on mute because it's actually a pretty good movie if you just cut out all the dialogue. I would like to propose that the ideal way to watch the prequels is actually on mute with the score playing over them. Treat 'em like old fashioned silent movies, basically.
Like, okay, case study: it's not very easy to buy Anakin/Padme romance when you watch these movies. None of the dialogue sells it, it's mostly stilted and a little creepy. You know what does sell Anakin and Padme as this epic, doomed romance which leads to Anakin's fall? "Across the Stars" by John Williams. I watch those two in Attack of the Clones and I feel nothing. I listen to "Across the Stars" on the way home from the airport after binging a bunch of Clone Wars on the plane and I kind of want to cry.
Like, let's get rid of the jenky dialogue during the Mustafar duel, all the "from my point of view the Jedi are evil!" stuff that sounds like a ten year old wrote it, and just let John Williams convey the emotional beats. People already say that the Maul Duel in TPM is a highlight of the series and it's already 99% score and fight choreography. Let's just do that for the whole trilogy! I bet you anything the watchability and emotional impact shoot straight up across the board.
