So, I just read the majority of your fics and just. Wow. Wow Kit, wow. I only got into this fandom a few months ago and your fics have really gotten me involved in the prequel side of Star Wars.

So, I’ve got three questions. First, have you thought about writing a second fic for the throat fic au??? I really love how you’ve written the reverse ages for Obikin. Second, I just finished reading your road-trip au in one sitting and omfg they stress me the fuck out. How big of a train wreck will it be when Obikin confess to one another? Cause let’s be honest here, they’re terrible at communication and the amount of misunderstanding in every one of their conversations is just ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Like come on guys, communicate for once, for your sanity and ours. Third, I have also read and reread your fic “building a boat with no blueprints” and omfg that one is amazing. I love how you’ve written Obi-Wan having to deal with two different sides of Anakin (in a way, the light and the dark - did you know he spent first 23 years in the light as a Jedi and another 23 years as Vader? I read about this from another user and I was like ?!?!?!!!!!). Is there any future for that fic? How much trouble will Vader be in when Obi-Wan sees him again.

as for your questions, let me answer as best I can!

throat fic: I absolutely have! I am actually currently writing a second fic, told from vaderkin’s pov and starting from even before he met obi-wan (in a loose vague sort of way) my personal problem with sequels and also why I have never written one successfully (pbatmb not counted) is because I’m so caught up in copying the style of the first fic that I stall out. I really liked how in the original throat fic, there were flashbacks and present moments and the reader knew the present moments because they all started with the same sentence (“obi-wan had never seen so much blood”) and I keep being like what is anakin’s never seen so much blood!!! and like the truth is anakin’s fic does not have to follow the style of obi-wan’s but in my mind they do and that’s something I have to overcome lol

but no a throat fic sequel would definitely involve Vader being super weird about obi-wan and then go more into their future than obi-wan’s story did. like about how they make their love for each other work when Vader can’t unfall and obi-wan can’t bring himself to completely abandon the Jedi tenets his master taught him 😌

road trip au fic: I promise it gets worse before it gets better lmao and I still want to finish that fic this year. I’ve talked a lot here on tumblr about how it’ll pan out, which I’m about to rehash so skip this part if you want to be completely spoiler free: basically they get to Seattle and obi-wan tells anakin to like. Wait in the hotel room or something cause he doesn’t want anakin to see what set looks like cause that’s a dead giveaway that obi-wan was thinking of anakin when fucking set. Only of course anakin doesn’t listen. Of course he trails after him to see what this set looks like and of course he freaks when he sees set looks just like him. which all leads to a tearful argument (confession) in their hotel room where anakin is like ‘i just can’t understand why you chose him? Is it because his hair is darker?? Is it because his eyes are blue is it because he’s broader in the shoulders? what is it about me that you just can’t love even when I’ve been here, loving you, for years? I’ll change it. I’ll change anything’ and obi-wan is like what. and anakin is like. what. and obi-wan is like. what do you mean you love me??? etc etc

burn every bridge fic: ah I love that fic!! I actually wrote a continuation in my ao3 fic called “although it’s been said many times many ways”. It’s a gratuitously holiday cliched fic, but it’s a continuation of those two if you want to read it! I don’t think there’s an actual sequel there for me, but if you like my reverse age stuff you should also check out the behemoth that foolproof foolhardy became & I pray the same but my gods have changed & if you love me let it remain unnamed (trust me on the last one and also only read for the vibes)

🎬: Please do not remind me Kazui and Kotoko didn't get their songs covered by Es 😭 It was such a disservice. I'm gonna just chalk it up to Kazui's voice is so deep that Es couldn't sing it properly and by the time Kotoko's MV was shown to them, the first trial ended before they could even sing it.

Or, y'know. Your AU, so Es did cover their songs too.

Also another thing for post-MILGRAM hangout where Es joins in too...KARAOKE (didn't Milgram have some sort of karaoke-related event running earlier?) Or maybe they have their own karaoke party at someone's home (I know someone has a karaoke set at home!), so they sing their songs and encourage Es to sing too...and pleeeeease sing "half" and "harrow" too (this will lead to Es finding out they've been eavesdropping on their singing. Hey!). Bonus that Deco's song is such a bop in the AU that everyone sings the songs they covered.

...my train of thought is still running, but I just imagined this AU's Milgram allowed everyone to gradually accept their faults that almost led them to their crime. Soooo Mahiru is still just as sweet, BUT rocks it when she sings "Psychogram". Also Amane, I like to imagine at this point she can be a bit more of a kid (I can dream!), so she's sort of bouncing around when she sings "Positive Parade" and "Animal" while the girls dance with her.

But with that said, I hope we'll get more Es' song covers! Or at the very least make up for "half" and "harrow"...and c'mon, Es didn't get to sing at all this trial. What gives?!

RIP I know 😭 I'm hoping we'll get a bunch of covers to fill the trial hiatus, and that they'll start with those two!! I know some people were worried that they would never get covers because they didn't reach 1M before the trial closed, but I think that's an oddly unfair requirement for the later prisoners. So I'm confident we'll get them at some point!

Kotoko's does make a bit more sense -- it was right at the end of the trial, and there wasn't much too break down in the lyrics because she was very forthcoming with information/intention. And I like that explanation for Kazui's! Es was intimidated by his voice and didn't want to do it an injustice by singing it poorly. Maybe Kazui makes a snide comment that they would have actually understood his crime better if they'd studied/sang his lyrics like the others' 😅

And I love the post-Milgram thoughts! Given Yuno's mvs and her written response about liking karaoke, I can definitely see her taking everyone out to her favorite karaoke spot. I like that too because the covers were kind of an indulgent inclusion of mine -- I knew they didn't quite fit in during the trial hiatus but I really wanted it to happen asdfdsn. Like, I know Amane wouldn't do frivolous things, and Kotoko/Shidou/Kazui would try to take the situation seriously and not play around. But if it's all after the experiment... >:3

bodyguard au headcanons

i haven’t been able to get around to writing the drabble like i had wanted to but i did come up with a pretty solid foundation for the au and will eventually get around to outlining it (hopefully)! also decided on a name: take me for what i am

mikasa (21/22) is the daughter of a politician/business tycoon, essentially forcing her to become a socialite. her family wasn’t always super in the public eye which is why when they start forcing her to fill into her socialite/heiress status, it starts her intense disdain for her family and their status

ideally she wanted to be an elementary art teacher but is forced to go to a prestigious school for the sake of image, she’s mostly just unhappy and unsatisfied with her life

she’s being set up with the son of another wealthy businessman for financial/political gain, which is ultimately mikasa’s final straw and causes her to start acting out

she starts partying excessively and purposely trying to hang out with people deemed “problematic” to worsen her image to prevent the engagement. she goes as far as trying to make herself look as though she has an alcohol and drug problem, her family starts trying restrict her but struggles

meanwhile someone tries to make a hit towards one of her family members, her family no longer deems it safe for her to be alone so they fix both of their issues by hiring a bodyguard to be with her 24/7

eren (24/25) is very socially inept, mostly emotionally dejected and closed off. tragically falls in his neurosurgeon brother’s shadow and is kind of the family failure (poor bb) and just relatively coasts through life and somehow ends up with the job as her bodyguard

he finds mikasa to be a big brat and finds her to be stuck up and annoying, mostly repulsed by the idea of how wealthy she is and finds her to be ungrateful

she finds him to have a permanent stick lodged up his ass and thinks he’s ruining her life and just another person who’s trying to control her when all she wants is just a simple life like before her family became what it now is

omg so just so everyone knows and can hold me accountable later, polyglot is meant to be the first fic in a series. it's the "two bottoms in a space ship" 8k set up for a second fic 100%. it can absolutely be read by itself and could be stand-alone, but is meant to have a few fics following.

the immediate sequel?

a fic where they get to their hotel and it's only one bed. literally that is all the notes i have for that fic. it would of course lead to them getting to the actual planet obi-wan wants to visit....and only having one sleeping bag. we want pressed chest to chest. we want uncomfortable closeness. we want hurts whispered in the inches left between faces.

we want a polyglot series where anakin's unanswered letters are addressed, obi-wan's unwavering devotion for a child he does not allow himself to see---so much that he crystalizes the child forever as just that, unwilling to recognize that the child grew into an adult without him there---is also addressed........

polyglot is basically my indiana jones au fic series start-up and i would love to write the part 2 for it! this ask is incredibly apt for that reason alone

4. What detail in polyglot are you really proud of?

i don't think this counts as a detail, but i love the scene where anakin realizes it's not that obi-wan is disappointed in who he has become when he sees him.....but that obi-wan is disappointed that his anakin has not been deployed to this mission (because his anakin is perpetually a 12 year old kid)

the equivalent of 'oh he's just stupid' played out in like 500 words!! and of course anakin is incredibly endeared by it because he's just as stupid over obi-wan, and i really like how that entire scene happens.

anakin really goes from >:( to :/ to :| to :] to :D because obi-wan is an idiot and anakin also is an idiot <3

hello! thank you for the ask & the chance to ramble about leverage!!! i hope you're cool with a long answer because good lord, this got very long.

the random headcanon: if the ot3 ends up parent figures to kids who would want to call them dad/mom/etc, i think eliot would be mom, not dad.

my reasoning: i've thought a lot about eliot (<-understatement) and one of the things that makes me SO emo about him & someting that's like, essential to my understanding of him is that i think the team is the first time he's able to safely be his full self in community with others. (this is a simplified version of my take on the team which i would LOVE to elaborate on some time but could write an entire separate essay about and isn't the point right now). i'm talking about this specifically in relation to his queerness, but i've viewed eliot as autistic since reading this meta & that's another angle i could go at all this from, too.

ANYWAYS if we go backwards chronologically from the start of the team, eliot was previously known to be a lone wolf (as they all were) and before that he was working for moreau - and whatever you think happened there, there's no way you could describe that situation as safe. before that, he was in the military, & that would not have been a safe situation for him to be out about his queerness.

take a step further back in time, and we arrive at his life Before. we know eliot was disowned the night before he left home for bootcamp in an argument with his father. i am 100% convinced that he was disowned because he came out, either on purpose (causing the argument) or on accident (in the heat of the argument, which is what escalated it to a disownment). and that was when he was 18, and he never even tried going back - there's no way that the home & town eliot grew up in was safe to queerness, and i think he saw joining the military as his only way to get out. (i could also write an entire essay about my thoughts on this. i love him your honor).

all this is just backstory to reach my point of - i don't think eliot was able to safely be his full self before the team so i have no idea how he'd label his sexuality, and i also don't think that gender would've been on his radar at all. i don't think that the possibility of exploring his gender would've been anywhere near eliot's radar. but i do think eliot has Gender going on. i think that he's very conscious of the ways he performs heterosexual man as a gender, and that it's something he does on purpose to stay safe/unnoticed.

how on earth is this all one topic? well. i think if the ot3 ends up parent figures to kids, it would be nebulously some time after the series finale. (i haven't watched redemption yet, that doesn't factor into my thoughts at all, this is a disclaimer). i also think vaguely after s5 is the point in time where eliot might start beginning to stop performing the heterosexual man gender on purpose, in a way that he never has before. it's something he performed with intention, and i think he'd be stopping the performance with intention. i think it would be healing for him, and it's something i want for him very badly.

and it's why i think he'd never in a million years be dad to a kid. both for gender reasons and because of how his own dad was. i think eliot would be mom, or ma, and i love him, and believe it or not this post is me trying my absolute damndest to be brief.

postscript: there's two ideas i have that i couldn't fit into this smoothly but that feel very relevant.

eliot and sophie's friendship is something that already means SO much to me - it feels like they both found somebody that they had lost and were missing in one another. it makes me so SO so emo they're family. they're family. and i think sophie's a trans woman and thinking about her and eliot's connection thru the lens of them BOTH being gendery makes me like AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

we don't know a lot about eliot's family but he's implied the existence of siblings and he opened up a bit about his dad in the low low price job. but we never, not EVER, hear a single thing about his mom. and i think it's because the hurt is worse. i think she died before he was a teenager. i think she died when he was around molly thecarnivaljob's age. and i think she died of cancer because of how his voice sounds when he's rummaging through cars in the future job & says there's a pink breast cancer awareness ribbon on the mirror. thank you for coming to my bonus ted talk.
