Hehe yeah. Here is the original post about Legend sick fics. I got a lot of recommendations in the replies and reblogs that are so cool- seriously I read a ton of them and you guys are so awesome (/gen)

@uniquevoidflowers wrote this fic for me which is amazing of course- it has some of the coolest imagery with a flower thermometer which makes me very happy

Pretty much all of @skyward-floored 's sick fics are awesome, including this legend one that was instantly recommended to me by quite a lot of people lol (since it was posted very recently) (go read it)

Fill the cracks with gold by @sister-dear was so fun to read, it might be one of my favourites for Four

I loved Hiding behind plaster and ceramics by @occasionallyprosie -it had a lot of takes I hadn't seen before and was also very good writing

@arecaceae175 recommended down, a nine chapter sickfic that is really good, I loved reading it.

And my wisdom tooth surgery went well :D I've stayed off the internet for a bit of recovery. I'm good I'm just not doing too much interacting when I'm tired *shrug*. I was scared because my health is always so bad but it was ok. :))) I have definitely spent a lot of time reading- I knew it was a good idea to ask for sick fics for surgery week XD

So that's the lovely list of sick fics I've been reading- for when you get your wisdom teeth out. Or you're not feeling well, or you just feel like reading. Anyways.

This as a matter of fact was the firts Geneuary piece I drew, why? Cause... it was the first prompt that come to mind. yeah Im not that deep. At least not at thinking.

The thing is! As I said before this is a scene from the movie Sixteen Candles starring Molly Ringwald most known for The Breakfast Club movie that actually have an episode of Bob's Burgers dedicated to it. do you see the connection?

So yeah, don't remember if is actually mentioned but I'm totally sure Gene is a big Molly Ringwald fan, is just his type of girl icon.

The movie in itself is a movie that carries a lot of good memories for me. My mom loves to show me movies from her childhood and teen years.

I remember watching this movie with my mom we both laughing of all the craziest shit that this movie had, commenting how different movies were back then and crushing over Molly Ringwald.

And then just a couple of days ago as a way to find the inspiration again I decided to watch it again with my lil sis who almost cry in the end scene (not the romantic one, the one with the girl and her dad)

And we catch sight of a lesbian! Hunting lesbians in older movies since 2024

The thing is even though I love this movie I have to say is from the 80's, wich mean hella racist toward asian people, very misogynist, and it have boobs (that is not a real problem but since people on twit is trying to banned sex I added it) so yeah, watch carefully. But totally recommended.

There's a scene I would also draw with Tina and Bob from this movie.

Second fun fact. Even though this was the first drawing I made I didn't made the romantic interest until this wednesday.

Originally I though Alex, but I wasn't 100% convinced cause at that point I was heart broken at the realization they were probably discarding his character (note: I don't know if they are discarding the character) (read as a Mort situation) So yeah.

Then I though DAH! Courtney, but I don't ship them as a couple so that didn't seem quite right.

Then talking with Golden I got really fond of their OC Alexis and though, why not? I believed in signs.

The universe talk and I have to listen. The fact that Golden decided to tell me about their character right when I was starting to draw this piece was all I needed to know.

Also I though of just letting that spot blank and maybe made a dynamic were people put whoever they wanted with Gene. Which for me could been hella funny. But I don't think anyone would actually want to do that so yeah.

judging people who played alan wake 2 solely on if they loved the musical sequence or not

#alan wake 2 #im joking around but also not #such a unique gaming experience that was incorporated w so much love and care #ive seen confusion here and there on why there’s even the musical chapter in-story #mostly when they performed at the game awards lol #but imo it was a great way for Mr Door to work together with the Old Gods and their mode of storytelling/communication (rock and roll!)#to try to tell Alan what’s happening to him to help him rise from the spiral #and of course there’s everything with how much Alan often restrains himself based on rules he imposed on himself #the dark place has its own power and rules with artists work but this was one way of #Alan essentially going ‘I know what’s happening here. I know the rules and I HAVE to do all this to save myself and my loved ones’#to which Mr Door/Old Gods go ‘you absolutely do not [throws Alan in musical]’#something something about how it helped put him in the mindset he was at the end of the game #to realize he could work w saga and not sacrifice Logan or Casey. that he’s not in a hopeless loop of destruction #but in a spiral with hopes of ascension and change #(basing this off the initial ending — haven’t finished the Final Draft)#alan wake #I don’t know if im making sense but that was my interpretation #my other explanation for the musical is that it’s there because it’s fucking awesome and creative #reminds me of the starkid ‘guy who didn’t like musicals’ with the confusion of the main character #(although hilariously it seems like Alan is proud of the musical even if he lives in a state of ‘wtf is happening’)#before my essays in the tags end want to say that the dark ocean summoning also deserves this love and I found it equally fun to ‘We Sing’

i dont want kids of my own, but i LOVE being an aunt. like genuinely

i watched SU with my niece when she was 6 and when that finished we picked up Miraculous and now she's 12 and comes to ask me to look at her art and if Ive seen the new episodes of things we share and like... man. this is why I do it

When I got back from Burbank and told her all about my trip to Dreamworks, she was like, SO genuinely into what i was talking abt and kept saying it was so cool. yessss validate meee 😭💕💕

and my nephew (3 y/o) is. well... GLUED to Toy Story but also more importantly loves to pretend he's sonic whenever i put it on the tv for him. My mom got him the (tiniest fucking EVER) sonic tshirt and whenever he visits wearing it he runs in the front door full charge at me like IM SONIC. GOTTA GO FAST! and bro. 🥲💕💕

kids are full of so much earnest passion and love if you are willing to share it with them. even if they will grow out of these things eventually and move on, how special to make something that can bring this much joy to someone even if just for a short moment of their lives? Amazing
