oh my god. at least it wasn't an actual, literal apple core. but they really did give us a whole lengthy explanation about the ✨meaning of the apple core✨, didn't they. (though to be fair, it also came along with Jade being a weird little mofo, so I count it as a win.)

people can keep coming up with angsty headcanons about why qPac passes out (crashes) so much- like he's got low blood pressure from not eating properly or he's exhausted from not sleeping properly- and I accept that

but to me he's just that one character in a kids movie that keeps getting injured as a gag. like he's just constantly tripping over roots and whacking his head off the ground, birds just constantly seem to drop rocks specifically on his head, people just keep inexplicably slamming doors into his face without realising it. qPac is just such a cartoon character to me I'm sorry

whoever decided to put a bunch of dead sea creature skeletons in the poseidon cabin deserves a raise. that was so fucking out of pocket

But honestly the idea of doing this for every single line of dialogue on the game (thousands...) fills me with a kind of horrifying dread.

I'm going to have to have a long hard think about the sheer workload of that vs the benefits.

(I think if I had always known I was going to add voice acting to the game, I would have decided to just have static portraits!)

See, Milgram said there's this kid who developed a hero complex from his video games. He got caught up in fantasies of killing the bad guy, he took justice into his own hands, and it killed someone for real. And they could have said yeah, he's a shoot-em-up game guy. He glorifies the military and oogles the tactical gear in the games. Or maybe he has fantasies of an action hero, car chases and explosions and machine guns. And that would have been such a nasty guy, yeah? I'd hate every bit of him and it could have been fine!

But no! They said he likes knights!!! Fucking knights!!! They said, he has fantasies of picking up his righteous fire sword and defeating monsters. He imagines himself in shining armor and vibrant landscapes. He's unbearably lonely and just loves the thought of leading a team of trusted adventurers who will have his back no matter what. And so now I'm screwed because I'm sitting there like FUUUUCK!! That does feel righteous!! That is the dream! I have had those exact thoughts after playing my little knight video games!! There's nothing wrong with wanting those things!! ARGGH!!

not really sure what game the Biden admin is playing at to be pulling fascist nonsense in an election year.

What are the debates even going to be like at this point? They agree on every political stance and both want to wage war in the Middle East. They both want to close the southern border and put children in cages.

They’re legitimately identical on all the important talking points, Biden is just quieter about hating queer people and that’s really about it.

I have never cared less which President is in office from a policy standpoint because we’re screwed either way.

I’ll reiterate, the only reason to vote Biden at this point is that trump is actively dangerous in the cult leader control he has over his followers.

Support for trump is rising because Biden has proven himself to be in full support of the far right interests. I am not looking forward to the implications of a second trump presidency but it is seeming more likely by the day.

Will I still vote for Biden? Probably. It will be like four years of a bush presidency, it won’t be good, but trump is legitimately trying to start an authoritarian revolution. The amount of people he’s saying he wants to pardon for insurrectionist crimes is unnerving. I genuinely believe his goal is a civil war to give himself complete control as a dictator.
