Summary:  In 2031, a journal is found. It tells the story of a woman named Y/N L/N, who claims to be a time traveler from 2021. This is the story of her life.
Tags/Warnings: Nothing to add yet.
Note: Also, this is a Javier Escuella x reader. The reader is also female, sorry!
Tumblr media
“What the hell?”
“Is she alright?”
“Don't just stand there, help the poor girl!”
I remember waking up on a bed, not soft at all, reminded me of a rock.
The rays of the sun made the girl groan and sit on the bed. Rubbing her eyes, she looked around and noticed the strange ambient she was in. A few people walking around, yet none of them noticed she was awake. The woman got up slowly, swaying on her feet, and took slow steps towards her bag left on the ground, until a small voice startled her.
“Mama, the weird lady is up!”
“Already?”
(Y/N) sighed, her head up, and watching as all the eyes were on her. Her mind was still processing the information from the past hours, time-traveling. Right, right, she knew what to do. At least, what she was supposed to do. Her body felt different, probably still adjusting to going through a portal, her mouth was dry and she could still taste a bit of dirt on her lips from the fall.
“Hey, lady, you good?” A silvery voice ringed, waking (Y/N) from her thoughts. Looking at the group of people surrounding her. The man wearing a sombrero got closer to her with a cautious look on his face. The girl didn’t answer, the shock beginning to take over her body. Only know did the poor girl realized what she had done.
“Javier, be careful. She could be…dangerous.” Another voice coming from behind him said.
Dangerous? Well, she kinda is, right? Being a skilled hacker and knowing her way on a gun, but that probably wouldn’t serve much in this era. The hacker part, at least. (Y/N) focused on the loud voices coming near them, they were arguing, and probably about her too.
“Why are we keeping her alive, Dutch? The woman came through that shiny golden circle on the sky and you decide to keep her here?” A blond man waved his arm towards her angrily. (Y/N) recognized him from the old picture the other woman had shown to her; Micah Bell.
“We can’t just kill her, Micah. We need to hear her first.” The other man, Dutch van der Linde, or the dude with fancy clothes, replied. Seemingly annoyed by Micah.
“We have far too many mouths to feed already. We can’t have another one.” A feminine harsh voice announced. “Who comes through something like that in the middle of nowhere? In our camp? She’s dangerous.”
The woman let out a heavy and annoyed sigh. Crossing her arms and looking to the gang, with her brows furrowed. She wouldn’t let them talk like that about her like she wasn’t there. Everyone quickly looked at her.
“If you let me explain myself first before any of you open your mouths.” (Y/N) could see the surprised look on a few faces, but an angry one on the others. Maybe having an attitude wouldn’t do her any good here, probably should get rid of that before causing any problems amongst the gang. After all, she needed to gain their trust.
“I’m sorry, Miss…?”
“(L/N).”
“I’m sorry, Miss (L/N), they can be quite suspicious about strange folks. Of course, we’ll let you explain yourself after…that.” Dutch spoke softly with an educated tune, being the calmest and reasonable of them all. The girl took a few steps back, stumbling on her words a few times, even mumbling in Italian. Everyone’s eyes were on her like hawks, most of them curious but suspicious. It wasn’t hard to understand them, a random woman popping out of a hole on the sky dressed weirdly would any person be suspicious and probably very shocked.
(Y/N) was taking too long. Hearing a click of the tongue made her straighten up and fixing her eyes on the wanted gang.
“Well, err, I am…from the future-“
“The future?! I can’t listen to that bullshit!” Micah replied almost immediately.
“Shut the fuck up I’m talking!” The sudden shout made their eyes widen a bit, but she could still hear a few mumbled laughs on the background. “As I was saying, I came from the future. I’m from 2021. Someone sent me here to…help you all before a big tragedy takes place.”
After seconds of shocked nonbelieving silence, a few loud voices were heard around. Mostly because they didn’t believe one single word she’d just said, others were questioning why Dutch decided to let her live and how they should just throw her on the river. But, one of the girls slowly approached her, more calmly.
“Why you?” The young brown-hair freckled woman asked, one of her brows up in a questioning way. She sounded so gentle when she spoke.
I adored Mary-Beth. I think she was the kindest and most gentle member of the Van der Linde gang.
“Oh. Well, you see….” (Y/N) gazed hesitantly to Dutch for the first time. He was watching her with his arms crossed, with a heavy brooding expression and eyes narrowed. The leader was wearing a black and red vest with a blue and white pinstripe shirt, with gold chains on his vest, with a smart black jacket and a black hat. He was taller than her and stronger; with a thick, black mustache and soul patch under his lips, he also has dark black, slick backed hair that curls at the end. Taking a mental note on his appearance, he seemed far more intimidating in real life.
I recall thinking “Damn, is that my great-grandpa? He’s hot.”. But in a serious note, he seemed to be so cold-hearted but at the same time, kind and trustworthy. He did look like a gentleman. He was an outlaw, and well, I guess it does run on the family.
What was she doing? Why did she take the stupid decision on going back to the past just because someone didn’t like how this gang’s fate ended? Many, many lives didn’t have a happy ending too. So why change only theirs? (Y/N) was already regretting the foolish decision she took, but hey, she still had that block thing to go back. Nothing was lost yet, she just had to justify herself and get the hell out of there before they decide to kill her or worse.
Hearing a forced cough woke the girl from her thoughts. Feeling embarrassed when she noticed she had been staring at him this whole time. Good, just wonderful.
“I’m Dutch’s…great-granddaughter.” The words merely escape her lips and heavens, how she felt like throwing herself out of a cliff after it. A burst of loud laughter was heard, coming from some of the men. A great joke, yes, that’s what this was. They didn’t believe her, not without proof, and she couldn’t honestly blame them.
“You can’t possibly believe this crazy woman’s words, Dutch. C’mon.”
“Miss, please elaborate on that.”
“Dutch? C’mon boss, she hit her head when she fell!” Micah shouted, not very happy with the leader deciding to hear her story before making any judgment. (Y/N) was glad for it, who knows what would happen if he decided to listen to that idiot.
She grabbed her bag and started to look for her phone, it probably wouldn’t work much there but if time traveling is a thing, maybe ghost WiFi was too. Who knows. Probably asking for too much there. (Y/N) took a few steps closer and turned it on, showing them the colorful wallpaper and the date, “2021”, proceeding to shows some pictures of streets and buildings she had on her gallery. It seemed to have worked, has everyone had a terrified look on their faces. Most of them were still a bit hesitant, and probably scared of the unknown.
The girl turned to the leader, she didn’t have any proof about being his great-granddaughter. Wait, she didn’t ask for it too. Damn it, did she just get fooled by that woman?
“I don’t have any proof, sir, but that woman told me I was…your granddaughter and needed me to save you all.” Before he replied, she added. “She did mention a one night woman you were with.”
“If what you’re telling us is the truth,” He began, slowly. Still watching her closely. “I guess you’ll have to stay with us.”
Giving the man a slight smile, the girl nodded. She heard a few angrily mumbles coming from behind them, some of the gang’s members weren’t very happy with that sudden decision. With a gentle pat on her shoulder, Dutch made his way to the middle of the camp and looked at everyone, rubbing his hands together with a serious, yet sympathetic expression.
“Family, Miss (L/N) will stay with us for the time being. I don’t want any complaints about this, she showed us proof of her story and if she’s here to help us, we should give her a home.” Nobody spoke, just silence. Maybe they didn’t want to oppose their leader. “Miss Grimshaw, please help Miss (Y/N) prepare a tent and show her around.”
The older woman nodded, looking at Dutch and then glaring suspiciously at (Y/N).
“Miss (Y/N), I would like to speak with you…privately.” Feeling a sudden jump of beat on her chest, the girl nodded. The serious tune on his voice addressing to her caught her by surprise, she didn’t like that tune coming from adults. Perhaps because every time that happened, they would blame her for something afterward and treat her like a child.
“Don’t worry, he just wants to talk to you about that great-granddaughter thing, ya know,” Mary-Beth said, giving (Y/N) a warm smile. “I’ll catch you later, kay? Someone has to show you around and meet the other folks.”
“Thanks…?” The girl tilted her head a bit. That’s right, they didn’t present themselves yet.
“Mary-Beth. You?” The young woman replied. Her name fit her perfectly, she looked like the main character of a romance novel.
“(Y/N).”
“Oh, well, nice to meet you, (Y/N). It’s better if you go now, don’t wanna keep Dutch waitin’.” Mary said, already making her way to another tent. (Y/N) nodded in agreement, putting her brave face and walking confidently to Dutch’s tent. Alright, probably not that confident, but she couldn’t let the others think she’s weak or scared now. She had a role to keep! The thought about going back to 2021 was already in the back of her mind and probably would stay there for a very long time.

Peaches (Ivar x Reader) One - Shot
Hola! So, thanks for liking the story line to ‘My Loyalty is Yours’ and ‘A Trip Down Memory Lane’, I’m still trying to decide the outcome to that. Like, I have ideas but yeah. ANYWAYS, this is to lighten the mood a bit and I need a lil bit of fluff ya know. yerp.
Summary: After a certain encounter, Ivar is curious about you and decides to make his presence known.
Warnings: A bit of swearing. And FLUFF...I think...well, just soft.
Tumblr media
There weren’t many things that caught Ivar’s interest. The prince himself found pleasure through the crueler things in life. Things that gave him confidence. Things that made him feel in control and powerful. That is why, the boneless man, spent most of his days taunting and humiliating others. Why he spoke so openly of his opinion in a way that stirred some type of reaction. It gave him a sweet thrill and secured all of his doubts and flaws. Yet one day his curiosity was poked by something completely different, you.
He was sitting alone, eyes relishing in all the different supplements Bjorn had returned with from sea or rather raiding other lands. Nothing new or grand. A row of slaves. Boxes of gold and silver. Exotic food. Metal and armor. It was all the same as the last and the many more before that. Until a girl, no older than he or even younger tumbled and tripped over his sprawled legs. No man or woman has ever managed to do so because well, he didn’t exactly blend in. He was a crippled prince after all. You fumbled to your feet, cheeks flushed and gaze lowered, praying words of apologies.
“Are you blind or are you just a fool, perhaps a blind fool?” Ivar snarled, his anger evident behind the blue of his irises. He had never witnessed a girl so foolishly clumsy or rather, dim.
“Oh I do apologize, I wasn’t watching where I was going and-and...I am terribly sorry. Please forgive me. Please. Oh dear, here...I will...I will fix this.” You bent down and attempted to massage his limp legs, hands feeling the thin limbs like sticks made of iron rods.
“Are you mad?” Ivar seethed, slapping your hands away like a pestering insect. “I should have you killed for this.” Never in his life has he ever felt the hands of another man let alone a woman, other than his Mother, on his crippled legs. It was infuriating. It reminded him of his disadvantage.
“I’m sorry...I’m sorry...Oh by the gods.” You jumped back onto your heels, fingers reaching out to your bag to pull out an orange fruit, a peach. “Here, take this. It’s all I have on me at the moment. It’s my favorite thing because it’s sweet like a Summer evening. Please.” You always knew that peaches were the only things that made you feel better, happier and you thought it would do you good in your current predicament. But boy were you wrong.
“I don’t want your peaches.” He barked, grabbing the fruit and throwing it away. He could feel his blood boil. First, this woman trips over him like he was a piece of trash lying around. Second, she touches his legs like she had a right too. Like he wasn’t already ashamed of them. Then, she offers him a piece of fruit like he’s a poor viking living among rats. “You think a fucking piece of fruit is going to make up for this? What are you, incredibly stupid or a fucking smart ass?” You winced at his tone, his voice growing harsher and harsher. Ivar too engulfed in his wrath, he didn’t notice the people observing the sudden growling. “Do you not know who I am, woman? I am Ivar the boneless, son of Ragnar Lothbrok and if by all means I see your stupid little face here again, I will not hesitate to worsen your miserable life.” Ivar gave you a sugary pungent smirk, burning the soles of his dark glazed blue orbs into yours. “Do you understand?” His tone turned soft, humming in such a sickly way it intimidated you. You nodded quickly and he finally let go.
“I am terribly sorry.” You muttered one more time before you jumped to your feet and evacuated the sudden gleam of spotlight. The complete opposite of a moth to a flame. You didn’t know whether to cry out of frustration or scream out of embarrassment.
From that day on, he saw you more frequently. Well, he noticed you like a mark that cursed his eyes. Ivar noted your careless figure looming the town of Kattegat whenever he decided to go to the market with his Mother because he had nothing to do. He saw you with your family, owning a small market that appeared once a week, selling sweet fruits and fresh vegetables. His eyes were glued to you like a lost puppy. He noticed small things about you. The innocent smile you shared to strangers as they brought from your store. The way you shyly yet easily conversed with others. Even when you would scowl your younger siblings who ran around and caused more hassle to your day. Your brows would upturn not furrow, your lips would pout not frown. Your eyes would soften, not hardened. There were moments there, where he’d be minding his own business, arguing with his brothers and he'd suddenly catch sight of you talking and feeding the horses. Your lips flapping so mindlessly, actually conversing with the animal as if you believed they understood you.
Ivar didn’t know why but it frustrated him to no extent. He didn’t understand why he was so curious about such a mundane and normal girl that it drove him to the verge of madness. A girl that he threatened because of her stupid mistakes. And he found that you were in fact a clumsy and awkward mess. It amused him. It was like watching a baby trying to walk. Falling over and over again. Knocking things down. Covered in dirt and apologizing like ‘sorry’ was the only word you knew.
But today, Ivar decided to end his inner turmoil and finally resolve his pestering curiosity. He had come to the decision of approaching you and taking control of this unknown rage or passion or whatever it was he felt.
~~~
You snuck into the barn, eyes wide with alert and hands gripping your bag filled with food. With quick feet you slipped into the stall of one of the horses - pure black with socks of white and a specs of white along the mane. Apple, you decided to call her since she loved the sugary taste and crunch.
“Hello my sweet girl.” You pat the mane of the female horse, it huffed in response. “Sorry I took so long, I think the men have caught on.” The horse nudged its head against your hand. “Eager are we? Here.” You pulled out the awaited fruit and held it out on a flat palm. It immediately engulfed it completely, wet and large lips tickling your fingers and you couldn’t help but giggle.
“Now what do we have here?” A voice startled you and you jumped back, tripping over your feet and throwing the bag of sweet fruits up into the air. Ivar laughed at the sight, truly amused by your innocence and lumbering behavior. “You really are a klutz aren’t you?” Ivar smirked, leaning his body against the wall and eyed you with amusement.
“I was just...it’s not what it seems. Please forgive me. Please don’t tell anyone.” You ignored the fruit that rolled on the hay floor and observed the cripple man. He was the one from the other day. Ivar, son of Ragnar and Queen Aslaug. He was handsome like all the sons of Ragnar. It was odd how every one of his brothers were so...alluring yet individual in their looks.
“Hmm.” Ivar hummed, picking up the orange fruit that knocked into his foot. “I won’t.” You let out a sigh but did not dare to tear your eyes away from his frame. You recalled your last encounter with the male, his threat. If I see your stupid little face here again, I will not hesitate to worsen your miserable life.
“Thank you.” Ivar picked the pieces of hay from the peach and took a curious bite, wearing a devious smile. His eye burned into yours and it felt endearing and new. No man had ever taken a look at you, not one quite like this.
“You are right.” Ivar said and took you by surprise. His lips glistened from the juice of the sweet delicacy. “It’s sweet like you said. What was it? A summer evening?” Your gaze locked on to the small movement of his tongue and ogled with wide eyes at such a simple action. But it left you a flustered mess, mind wandering to places you knew they shouldn’t. “But I wonder, do you taste the same?” You choked on your saliva, his tempting words hitting differently as a wave of interest sparked from inside. And judging by the devious smirk plastered across his plump pink lips, he enjoyed your reaction.
“I-I-I...do-do-do...what? I...uh...huh?”
“I am done with you now.” Ivar hummed and threw the delicacy to the side, content with the fulfillment of his words and his encounter with you. It was enough to fill his cup of wonder. “See you very soon, Peaches.”
Note
hey zira, what are your hot takes on all of the fo4 companions?
Haha, I don’t know how hot they are, but I can give you a speed run! (Also I am very excited to get this. FO4 was the first open world game I ever played and just the concept of that and the hugeness of the world and branching story & sudden feeling changes towards me in companion characters totally blew my mind, & it still lives rent free in my heart).
Ada, Old Longfellow, and Strong I /still/ haven’t maxed despite having too many hundred hours to want to list on this game—the former bc they were DLC, Strong because honest to god I left him at a nice settlement and then completely forgot about him and remembering that I am the energy in this Ryan O’Flanagan video but abt leaving my super mutant in a tiny settlement alone. I will get there! To max affinity I mean. But anyway, I don’t truly know those three, so my takes are incomplete. So far though, I really like Ada. She is a good girl just trying her best. Fucks me up I can tell her to self destruct. Even though I feel sure she would ignore me, I cannot imagine ever saying that to her. It was really sweet she was willing to forgive the Mechanist and move on with her life. A good girl. Longfellow I am maxing rn (was last time I played anyhow). I enjoy him. Gruff grumpy old man but he seems quite decent and I like his idle banter and when he sings to himself a lot. Seems like he’s had it rough. Strong I liked. He’s wild, and I loved how insane meeting him was, and am worried about him eventually understanding poetry and how that might mess up his sense of world understanding. But he’s a chill dude in his own way and I am glad they gave us at least one nice super mutant.
For the companions I actually do know like the back of my hand, the speedrun:
Nick Valentine: Best man on earth. One of two fictional characters I ever called husband. I would die kill or live for him. I want to be 1/4th the man Nick Valentine is. One of the best characters ever period and I adore literally everything about him. It fucked me up early in game where right after he offered to basically risk destroying his mind to help a stranger look for her son, he asked me how I was doing. First character in the entire game to do that. His first companion dialogue is abt how you’re doing TuT. The man is very kind and forgiving and fair, but knows when the draw the line and take no shit. Emotionally mature, kind, caring, longsuffering. Incredibly damaged and broken by life, but holding on and living kindly and to help others anyway. One of the four most marryablen fictional men I’ve ever seen.
Preston Garvey: Brave, kind, sweet man. I would defend him with my life. He really just wants so bad to make the world better and life has been so hard, but he’s still trying. A beautiful and underrated companion and I would throw hands for him on sight. I adore how he whistles. A true and gentle and loyal friend. Take him to Quincy and let him get his justice it’s what he deserves. People who hate him because he tries to get help helping civilians in that game are weak. I love him so much... please give him enough time to reach max affinity he’s so worth it.
Deacon: *To the tune of You Are My Dad* You are my friiiiend! You’re my friend! (Boogie woogie woogie). Initially, he pissed me off bc he lies all the god damn time, but after we got close enough he actually trusted me, he stole my heart and I would also die for Deacon. He’s a really good person who thinks he’s shit because of who he was on his past. Also him 🤝 Preston: massive survivor’s guilt. They should be friends. Poor Deacon has been the last member of the Railroad like four times, and it’s awful. Help him. Give him love and support. He’s one of my all time faves. Also, Railroad hands down best faction and if you kill them for any reason other than like a walkthrough route video and I ever get the chance I would 100% clock you in the face as hard as I can, like going for losing teeth, and feel no guilt. I know it’s a game and that’s wrong, and I’d be wrong, but I’d still do it. Also, Ryan Alosio (his VA) saw me do cosplay for Deacon once and told me it was great and it filled me with even more love. Anyway Deacon is great. Also, his whole “There are other organisations out there. And, in time, I'm sure they're going to spoon-feed you their own patented form of bullshit. Ignore the verbage and look at what they're doing. What they're asking you to do. What sort of world they'd have you build and how they're going to pay for it.” Is one of the like, two most iconic quotes in all of FO4 & just super good in general.
Hancock: Hardcore badass man but also a good dude and a champion for the people. Man really puts his money where his mouth is and you gotta respect that; another favorite companion for sure. Big fan of the way he stabs a guy for you upon meeting, and is a cool leader who organized his crime and does a decent job actually leading. He works hard to help people and bites back hard. Social justice advocate, dangerous man about town, not afraid to cosplay a revolutionary war hero 24/7 & u gotta respect the no fucks given attitude. A chill dude. Like that he fights the institute, hates the Brotherhood, helps the Railroad, and is friends with Nick. He’s legit af. Also, his VA gives a different answer every time someone asks him about the voice he did for hancock and they’re funny af.
Piper Wright: A cool spunky lady. Lois Lane on the case, kicking butt, and taking name. She’s nice but also hardcore and smart, supportive, fun. A good person. You always get points if you like Nick (which most companions do), and they’re good friends. She’s funny and I love her. A good heart.
Codsworth: He’s great. He’s family. He’s like my...weird brother. Getting to max affinity is heartwarming and also makes my heart go :’-] . Great early-game companion bc he kicks ass and doesn’t need stims to heal. I love getting called by my name and think that was a great feature (well, my PC’s name). He’s a wonderful funky little robot dude and I am so glad he likes me.
Dogmeat: Amazing. A good boy. Doggo of the year. His actor deserved the game award she won. Cute, full of love, and plays with a teddy bear if you give him one. 100/10z
Cait: I like her a lot. She’s been through so much shit, and it makes sense she is how she is. I like they actually gave her an emaciated and messy (though still pretty) design, since she is a drug addict. And that they make her main quest about taking that seriously and wanting to get help, and that she’ll call out the player if they fuck around and do drugs in front of her after she gets rehabilitated. Her relationship to the PC if good is really sweet, and I am a fan. I like that while she’s not sympathetic to synths and thinks they aren’t people, she forgets that every time Nick walks into a room and is like “Oh hey Nicky : )”. She’s a good girl who has been through a lot and still needs time to heal and find herself, but she’s making great strides.
Robert Joseph MacCready: Human disaster (loving). Homeboy a goddamn /mess/ but I love him. He tries so hard to be cool. I love he makes you pay him to come with, then chickens out and gives it back lol. A fool ball of anxiety and bad decisions and what he thinks brovado is. I wish he, Preston, and Deacon would quit fighting, bc I am always like “ :’-] </3 Boys Please” when they swap out, but I love them just the same. He’s doing his best, he’s just stupid and a fool. Like Philip J Fry. Keeping his goddamn soldier toy, which somehow is listed as junk instead of sent to Misc with quest items where it would be fine, safe?parylizes me with fear. I’ve lost 2 hours of gameplay reloading an old save bc I accidentally lost it.
X6-88: A more complex one to answer about. He’s bad, but like, I’m pretty sympathetic to how he got that way. He was created in a lab and had his emotions mostly dragged out of him in intense psychologically damaging training so he would be a weapon and view himself as an object. I was relieved he chose me over the institute even if he wasn’t a fan of the chocie, and think that means there’s a lot of hope for him. Wish he’d chill the fuck out and quit intimidating civilians for 6 god damn seconds, but I like him. I bring him fancy lad snack cakes home from travels all the time, bc Synths are supposed to like them. Really like that he’s the /most/ sympathetic companion towards Danse in Blind Betrayal, even though he should not be programmed for that, and Danse hated him and made it clear any time they interacted.
(EDIT) Curie: I FORGOT HER BABY IM SO SORRY. I like Curie a lot, despite the fact I temporarily forgot she existed. I stg I thought she was in here. Uhhh, okay. Curie: like her character and personality, HUGE un-fan of both the way her desire to get a synth body is to be ‘more real,’ as if Codsworth isn’t a fully realized person while the same robot type she is, instead of just like. Because it would make her happy. ALSO hate how much of a Born Sexy Yesterday she is, even intentionally in not-determinate affinity talks. It’s gross. But her herself, I like a lot. She’s my daughter and I will protect her. She works at The Castle right now as their on-site medic.
Paladin Danse: I know I’m gonna take heat for this but honestly? He didn’t do much for me. I like that he looks and sounds kinda like Buzz Lightyear, and that’s fun, but idk at all why people think he’s so hot. He’s very boring & generic looking to me. Like you’re valid! Taste all be different. But he doesn’t do it for me personally in looks or personality. I don’t at all like, hate him. Or even dislike. Tbh I am fairly neutral on him. It was funny making affinity with him though. Every other companion I had maxed, I liked more and more with each affinity talk. They’d be like “So my dad was a minuteman and died and I want to honor him” or “I just want to really feel like I’m a person, for real, myself, and I am glad I met you, because the good we have achieved together is ours, even if I can’t be sure of anything else,” or “My brother threw the cultural minorities out of our city for clout bc the rich citizens were all racist, and I tried to help—I snuck them food to the unsafe ruins they set up in for weeks, but eventually, they just vanished, and I still bear immense guilt and self-hatred over not having stopped that.” And Danae’s would be like “One time a buddy of mine got kidnapped by super mutants. They turned him into one of them, and they’re all abominations, so I killed him and it made me really sad.” And I was just like “...Oh danse. I really wanted to like you more. But what the fuck.” His relationship to Haylen is sweet though. And ofc I saved him in Blind Betrayal. I blew up the Prydwin so he’s safe now too, and he lives in the garden by my house and tells me how glad he is we’re friends, and I’m p into that. Overall, my feelings on him are not strong at all though.
Porter Gage: Not a fan. Like, I appreciated he helped me kill the old boss, sure. And bc I owed him for that, I went to max affinity to see what there was to him as a person. And like, as far as raiders go, he was okay. But he wasn’t deeply sympathetic, and he’s a slaver, and if you try to liberate the slaves he and the others own, he /will/ turn on and attempt to murder you immediately, no matter how close you were, so he made his choice, and it was to be a bad person and an asshole to the last. Really enjoyed the VA’s work a lot on him tho.
And there you have it 👈👈😎. Thanks for asking!
Hold Me Down
I got this idea when listening to Halsey!!! I’m super in love with it! Wren a trained thief and ex-assassin? Check. Lawyer John who has a major role in the mafia family? Check. Blackmail? Check. Rival family? Check. Enemies to lovers? Check...wait-- Arranged marriage that eventually turns into something else because of course it would? well, yeah I guess, but--Yay! I made a thing!
I laugh, charming and light to the older gentleman, but I know it’s hollow and fake. I take a sip of champagne as my grip on his elbow tightens just a tad, testing as I watch from the corner of my eye. His face is red, flushed as he jokes with another attorney from a separate firm. I lightly tap my black manicured nail against the glass as I take in the setting. Normally, I wouldn’t have thought to work a charity gala, but this was too much of an opportunity to pass up, especially with the hypocrites that hosted and attended.
Greedy, horrible people that had more money than they deserved. The woman talking to the mayor was a financial advisor that embezzled thousands of dollars, the mayor himself taking some and both sharing an ivory powder hobby some nights, and my current date had a temptation with women a little too young for him. I was worried that I was too old to pull this off and would’ve had to find another mark. But as I scanned the crowd, my plan slightly changed.
He pulled his arm from my hand to wrap it around my waist, pulling me closer as he laughed again. The black laced mermaid gown hugged my curves perfectly, and he had no problem with shamelessly exploring them. But a smile remained on my burgundy lips, convinced that robbing these people blind would make it far more worth it than if I broke his fingers.
“I met this little one at the gallery opening a couple days ago,” he slurred with a laugh as he squeezed my ass. I shift, transferring the champagne flute to my other hand before my well-manicured hand is placed on his chest. “Poor thing had no fucking clue what she was looking at.”
Wrong. I’ve known this man for a month, I’ve broken his schedule, his habits down to the minor detail. I knew he would be there, and men like this didn’t want a strong, smart woman. If he did, his wife would be here, not me. But that was fine, because her being out of town meant he would feel comfortable enough to take me home, and at this pace that I was keeping him on, he wouldn’t make it past the living room. His safe was in his office, behind a painting he changed out frequently. I just had to make sure to keep the booze coming.
His young companion threw his head back with a laugh. “Now, don’t fault the poor girl, Charles. You’re a bit old for her, don’t you think? Besides,” the man threw me a smirk with a dark glint in his eye. “I could teach her a thing or two.”
“Is that so?” Charles taunts, his own sneer crawling along his wrinkled face. “Word has it, you can’t keep a damn thing. This last case makes what? Seven that you’ve lost to John Seed this year, alone? He pretty much takes what he wants from you, Trey. No, if I was gonna hand this little thing to a younger and greater man, I would just escort her to him myself.”
The blonde male’s face reddens, but not from the alcohol. I hadn’t been in Atlanta very long, six months since I had moved from LA, constantly on the run. But I heard the last name Seed a few times since being here, and I had made the decision to steer clear the best I could. They were a very profound mafia family in the city, specializing mostly in gun dealings and embezzlement, and some drug trafficking. You didn’t fuck with that family. Or at least, that’s what I’ve heard.
“Yes, well, maybe you should shove the whore to his feet as a gift. It’s his party, after all.” Trey snapped before moving on to someone else and I freeze, my gaze falling frantically through the crowd as unease sets in, and I realized I wasn’t as prepared as I believed. I wasn’t exactly aware of who had thrown the event, too focused on my mark than anything else. It was my first big job since coming here and I had gotten tunnel vision. Rookie mistake. I didn’t even know what they looked like, and here I was, aiming to steal from their own guests. I’ve never felt so unprepared and stupid in my life.
Charles squeezes me again, bringing my attention to his drunken smile. “Don’t worry your pretty little head, I won’t let the big bad lawyer get yah.” He teases. “He might not always be a friend, but he’s respectful. He’ll wait until I’m done with you. Besides,” he kicked back the rest of his scotch, a drop running down from the corner of his mouth. “the little prince doesn’t attend these damn things anyway.”
“You’ll protect me?” I asked, batting my eyelashes at him, tilting my head to the side as I played the innocent card.
He chuckled. “Only for the night, darlin’. Just do what you’re here to do.” He slaps my ass once more, before he’s calling towards another friend. I quickly excuse myself for the restroom as an older woman eyes me with disapproval. Charles was anything but subtle, and it had taken every once of my patience to work this job.
My black strappy stilettos click hard against the glossy floor as I eye the crystal chandelier. This was probably the nicest thing I had or ever would attend. My eyes were a bit bigger than my stomach on this one, I knew. But it was ripe for the taking, hardly any competition whatsoever.  It was almost too good to be true and having found out that one of the biggest mob families was in charge of it made it so.
My dark hair fell in waves over my left shoulder, the side pinned back elegantly. An easy way to hide my face if I needed to, but gracefully showing enough skin to tempt any drunken man. Enough to distract. I slowed, my steps becoming a bit light with a sway as I placed my empty glass on a tray of a passing waiter. My eyes scan out again, stopping short as they catch bright blue ones.
They’re a mixture of light and dark, a curiosity there that, if I hadn’t been working a job, I would have indulged. His dark hair is slicked back, his beard well-trimmed. I swallow as I take in the tattoos that cover his hands. It’s odd to me, to see someone as covered in ink as he in a setting like this, but I suppose I was no different. I showed mine off without a thought, not a care in the world, because this wasn’t my world. I was a mere tourist, visiting and having a taste before I retreated back into the shadows like I never existed.
His eyes left me, responding to something his friend said, and I’m on the move again. I can’t afford eyes on me this evening, not for what I was about to do. I turn, fake a trip as I shoulder a man and we both reach to catch the other. I gasp in shock, making a show of horror on my face. The man is immediately concerned, and his handsome face is scanning mine. Such a shame.
“I’m so sorry!” I gushed, fear in my eyes. He smiles, and as he helps me back up, my hand slips into his pocket, pulling out a money clip as my other hand gripped his wrist near his watch. My fingers brush the clasp, and when he glances away, I slip the money past the slit of my dress and tucked it underneath my knife strap on my thigh. He turns back, both of my hands holding his as I smile wide and thank him for his help. He smiled back and went to turn away as I allowed my fingers to trail over his skin as I pulled his watch away from him.
It all happened within seconds, but it was like slow motion for me as it always was. My heart would pound as adrenaline burned in my veins. It was a thrill, the chance of getting caught and the chance of getting away with it. Dutch had always told me I was the best he’d ever seen, other than her. I was going to be her replacement, the next best thing. But I shoved the thoughts aside as I enter the hallway and make my way to the ladies’ room. It felt like a lifetime ago, and I needed it to stay that way.
I check to make sure I’m alone before I pull the cash out, giving it a quick count. There were a few hundred dollars, easy, from what I could see. A decent take, but probably the only one I would be able to do, even if I had my clutch. Which was definitely an option. I could convince Charles to leave early if I promised something sweet in return. Knock him out when we get there if it wasn’t drunk enough, and then crack his safe. Call it an early night. The start of a pounding in my head was awfully convincing.
I tuck the watch in my dress, wincing from the cold metal digging into my skin, and only partially grateful that my cleavage was able to hide it at all, discomfort aside. I needed to stop acting impulsively and get the hell out of there. I check my makeup, my smokey eye still in place and the lipstick not a bit smeared. I smile, doing what I can to hype myself up to go back out there. I could do this, I needed to do this. So, I walk confidently back into the dimly lit hallway, prepared to throw my plan into motion.
“I hope you’re alright, dear. That was a nasty spill you almost had out there.” A honey voice called, making me jump and turn. The man in the navy-blue suit is leaning against the wall with his hands tucked in his pockets, his drink long gone.
“I’m fine.” I breath out with a smile, trying to not allow this to throw me. “Thank you.” I go to turn away, but he pushes himself off the wall and takes a few steps forward as he tilts his head, scratching his beard before he points to me.
“I don’t think we’ve had the pleasure of meeting.” He’s thoughtful for just a moment before a smirk graces his lips. “No, I think I would remember someone as stunning as you.”
I’m taken aback by his change in demeanor, hesitating as my mind races. My gut twists as I blush and smile at him. “You’re too sweet. I’m Sofie.” I offer my hand to him to shake and he eyes it for only a second before he grasps it.
His skin is warm, and his hand almost engulfs mine. My breath hitched only slightly as he placed a chaste kiss against my knuckles, his eyes not leaving mine. “Pleasure to meet you.” He lowers my hand, letting go, but it doesn’t stop his eyes from tracing the ink on my skin. “Beautifully done. You do it yourself?”
“No, I had it done in Oklahoma City.” I give him some truth, some sort of solidarity that helps assure that I’m honest and gives me the base line, foundation almost, that I desperately need. “A few years ago, actually.”
He hummed before his blue eyes find mine and I’m captured by them, the same light and dark that had been there before. “You’re here with Charles, aren’t you? Good lawyer, great taste in women, though he doesn’t normally go for the smart ones, much like yourself.”
I laugh this time, my shoulders relaxed as he flirted, and my confidence soared. “Oh? Is that so? And what makes you assume that I’m a smart one?”
“Well, it takes a smart woman to be able to pull off what you did.” His smile twists into something darker and my stomach drops. “Not anyone can steal right from under a man’s nose, Miss Marie. Especially men like the ones here this evening.”
I swallow, but my mouth is dry, and my smile is gone. He clicks his tongue disapproving before his arm goes around my waist, pulling me close as he turns me, and his hand squeezes a bit above my hip. We’re walking towards a side exit and I panic, pushing my body back against his arm as I shove away from him. I go to run, but his hand is around my upper arm in seconds, dragging me out into the Georgia night.
It’s dark as he shoves me forward, and I stumble before catching myself against a damp black car in the alleyway. I turn to him, venom on my tongue as he struts forward, fidgeting with his cufflinks. The pavement is wet from the rain, the air sticky from humidity, and I am furious at this man for touching me. He looks like the devil as his expensive shoes tap against the ground, and he’s the first to speak.
“It takes a brave soul to steal from me, darling.”
“Funny, I don’t recall my hand in your pocket.” I shot back; all pretenses gone. I knew I was had. He chuckles with a shake of his head.
“Those are my guests, so yes, you were stealing from me. I don’t appreciate people taking my things.” He’s getting closer and closer, stalking me like I was his prey. I sneer at him. “And for you to do so, I’m assuming you don’t know who I am. So, I’m going to show you.”
That’s when it dawns on me, just who exactly I have in front of me. I pale, stepping back until my back hits the car behind me. “I was told that you don’t attend your own events.” I rush out breathlessly.
“Do you usually believe everything everyone tells you? And here I took you for a professional.” He scoffed before stopping in front of me. “I mean, at least get it from a source you can rely on. One that you’re either paying for or they’re too terrified to tell you wrong.”
John Seed is fast and I’m rusty, I know that the second his hand is around my throat, the other pulling my leg over his hip as he slams me against the car. I can smell his cologne, expensive and spicy. But there’s a hint of sandalwood underneath and I try to focus on something else. He’s sneering, and I can see the anger there in his eyes as he smirks. I hate that he can feel my pulse, that he knows how hard my heart is pounding.
“He met you at a gallery, which tells me you’ve planned this for a while. You know his routine enough to catch him on the day he’s buying a new piece to replace the last one. Batted your eyes enough to get an invite here, a way in, and gave him a false name. We’re both smarter than that, aren’t we? But then what? You go home with him, fuck him, and take the money, hmm?”
“I have higher standards than that. He’d conveniently pass out before he could get his hand down his pants.” I snap, glaring vehemently at him. “But how do you know all this?”
He tisked again as he leaned in. “Because darling, it’s my money.” His hand moves up my leg and I bite my lip as his fingers graze the knife I have strapped there. “And it’s my fucking city. I know when a new player enters the game, it’s my job to know. You think I don’t have eyes everywhere? Especially when I’m financially invested? I loaned him that money, darling. He’s indebted to me. Those men following him around isn’t his damn security, they’re my men keeping tabs and making sure he doesn’t run. They tell me everything that goes on, so when a beautiful thing like yourself latches to someone like him? I get curious. So, yes sweetheart, you were going to steal from me. And you could have been left alone if you hadn’t overstepped. But greed does that to you.” He slips under the knife strap before pulling out the money clip I hid there. I pursed my lips as he tucked it in his jacket pocket and his hand returns, pulling out my knife this time. He hums as he examines it, the custom navy blade catching what little light was provided from the city.
“So, where’s the watch?” he asked before pressing the tip right above my panty line. I try to move away from him, but there’s nowhere to go. “Here?” I clenched my teeth, refusing to answer. “No?” His eyes narrowed as he trailed the knife up my body slowly before stopping just under my chest, the point pressing harshly against the bottom of my breast. His eyes briefly glance down with a tick of his brow, and I swallow, desperate to keep the blush from appearing as his eyes returned. “How about here?” I sigh out, glancing away from his piercing gazing and he laughs. “Figures. Not very original, are we? Disappointing. Won’t you be a dear? My hands are rather full at the moment.”
I thought my teeth would crack at the force of my clenched jaw. I moved my arm quickly, and he pressed the knife a little harder against me, a quick squeeze of my throat for a warning. I froze before slowly moving my hand once more. His thumb pressed against my jawline, moving my head so I could meet his eyes. It is humiliating, but I would take it over death, assuming that he would even let me live after all this. I pull out the watch and let it dangle on my finger, taunting him in return.
He grabs it, quickly pocketing it, but the knife doesn’t move. He leans in, his breath fanning my face as he spoke, his hand finding my throat again. “Considering this evening, I’m in a charitable mood, so I will give you a warning. Listen closely, because I do not repeat myself and I don’t offer this kindness to many.” I swallow as he towers over me, his body pressing against mine and the only thing between us was my own knife digging into my skin. I bite my lip to keep myself from saying something that would test the kindness he was bestowing upon me. “You will never do this again, not under my house or with any of my guests. The Seed family is off limits to you, and if I catch you doing that again, I won’t hesitate to kill you. Do you understand?”
“Yes.” I mumbled. With one last squeeze, he let go of my throat and took a step away. He makes a show of tossing the knife to the side, the metal clattering against rock is harsh against the silence.
“I can tell you aren’t from around here, so please, consider this your welcoming gift from the Seed family. Enjoy Atlanta, darling.”
 I’m calm on the outside as I ascend the stairs, but a hurricane on the inside. I keep it in check as my heels click against the shitty staircase of the apartment building. I frown once I reach my level, making my way down the hall as I eye the young blonde sitting outside her apartment on the floor. Skylar Khors was a good kid, still in school and working full time to support her and her boyfriend. We talked here and there, being neighbors, but I tried my best not to get attached. It was hard though, because I heard them arguing most nights, making my heart twist in empathy. I didn’t have time to be neighborly tonight, though, as my hand shook to unlock my door.
“God dammit!” I shrieked, slamming the door behind me before removing and throwing my heels to the ground. My back hits the wall as my palms press against my eyes, the only defense to the tears that are gathering. I’m shaking, from anger and humiliation, and I want nothing more than to go back to claw his smug face off. My mind is racing, trying to rationalize the fact that I just lost out on a huge job that would have set me for the next year. To an egotistical shady lawyer that definitely had a hand in the fucking mob. The image of him throwing me out makes my blood boil even hotter. The way he had touched and man-handled me, using my own knife against me before throwing it—
“Wren?” Skylar called with a knock on my apartment door. “Everything alright?”
I smile wistfully with a scoff. “It’s all good, go back to bed. Just had a long night.” I pushed off the wall and unzipped my dress as I go. I don’t know if Skylar was still at my door or not, but I didn’t care. I needed time to reevaluate my next move. I needed something to pull through for me. LA was too hot, New York was a festering pit. I heard Atlanta was a good place to score, but nobody warned me of the fucking monopoly over it. I was just going to have to get creative.
Fairy Tail’s Fairy Tale’s Chapter 8
((Part 8 of my contribution to the fairy tail big bang by @ft-ez-bb ! I hope you enjoy! Please comment/like/reblog/ect. if you did!))
"Gajeel, do you wanna be in the next story?" Wendy asked. "Sure, what is it?" he asked curiously. "Aschenputtel!" Wendy read, happily. "Bless you." Gajeel said. Levy laughed, "Aschenputtel is the German name for Cinderella." she explained, "I think it's very fitting for you." "Really?" Gajeel asked surprised. "Uh-huh. " Levy nodded, "You have a history of holding women against their will." she said, smiling. "When are ya gonna let that go?" Gajeel asked, annoyed. "Never." Levy replied.
"Hey, we want to be part of the story too!" Jet said determinedly. "Yeah!" Droy agreed, "We wanna act with Levy and Gajeel!" "There's not really any other characters. . ." Wendy said, "I guess you could be the evil stepsisters?" "We're in!" Jet declared. "Yeah! How hard can it be?!" Droy added. Levy opened her mouth to object, but Gajeel quickly covered it, "This'll be great." he whispered to her, grinning. The team headed backstage.
ASCHENPUTTEL   CINDERELLA
"Once upon a time, the wife of a rich man fell sick. And as she was dying, she told her daughter to be good and kind. After the woman had died, the little girl planted a hazel twig at her mother's grave, and she visited so often and cried so much, that it grew into a large, beautiful tree. And when she sat beneath it, if she made a wish, a bird would grant her it. Her father had remarried to a woman with two daughters of her own. All three were beautiful of face, but vile and black of heart. The step-sisters treated the little girl cruelly. They made her wear rags while they wore fine dresses, made her do all the chores, and instead of a bed, she had to sleep by the fire. Because of this, she was always covered in ash, and so they called her Cinderella." Wendy began.
Levy walked onstage in rags. Jet and Droy walked behind her in fine suits. "Wait- we have to be mean to Levy?!" Jet exclaimed, "I can't be mean to Levy!" "I can't either!" "Guys, you're called the evil stepsisters." Levy pointed out, "What did you expect?" Gajeel's loud laughter could be heard from backstage. "That jerk. . ." Droy glared. "He knew this would happen!" Jet yelled angrily. "Guys, relax. It's just a play." Levy assured, "I know you're not actually being mean to me." "That doesn't make it any easier!" Droy wailed, tears streaming down his cheeks. Levy couldn't help but laugh, "It's okay, guys. Really. We need to continue with the play." The boys sniffled and wiped their eyes. "Okay. . ." "Fine." They agreed. Chelia leaned towards her friend. "Your guild is weird." she whispered. "I know." Wendy nodded.
"The King proclaimed that there would be a three day festival to find his son a wife. All of the eligible maids in the kingdom were to come, and Cinderella was told to help her sisters with the preparations to go to the ball. Cinderella helped, but was sad, because she wanted to go to the ball, but her stepmother would not let her. She said Cinderella didn't have nice enough clothes and couldn't dance, Cinderella would embarrass the family. The stepmother and sisters left for the ball, and Cinderella went to her mother's grave." Wendy explained.
Levy sat on the ground and looked up at the ceiling, "Shiver and quiver, little tree, silver and gold throw down over me." Erza used her magic and in an instant Levy was clothed in a beautiful gold and silver silk dress, and silk slippers. "I'm off to the festival!" Levy dashed offstage.
Gajeel lounged on a large, iron throne at one end of the stage, he was in a fine suit with a crooked iron crown on his head. His hands were behind his head and his feet were draped over the side of the chair. Jet and Droy stood onstage, a little ways off, as did Pantherlily, now in his large form. Levy walked onstage and looked around before walking past Jet and Droy to Gajeel. "Who's that?!" Droy asked, watching Levy eagerly. "I don't know!" Jet answered, "Must be a foreign princess."
Gajeel whistled as Levy approached. "You clean up nice, Shorty." She gave him a playful pout in reply. Gajeel sat up properly and offered her his hand, "Wanna dance?" "You're a jerk." Levy declared, happily taking the hand. Gajeel stood and rested his other hand on her shoulder, "Your jerk." he reminded smirking. Levy shrugged, "It's not my fault I have bad taste in men." Gajeel laughed and they began dancing. "The prince danced only with her." Wendy narrated.  "Mind if I cut in?" Jet asked politely. "BUZZ OFF, SHE'S MINE!!!!" Gajeel yelled angrily, pulling Levy closer to his chest. Jet sulked over to his 'brother', "This sucks." "Let's get out of here." Droy agreed. The two left and Levy stepped away from Gajeel, "I have to go. I'm sorry."
Gajeel blinked, "Oh. . . Well, can I walk you home?" "No." Levy ran offstage. ". . . Whaddya mean no?!!!" Gajeel yelled after her, offended. He sat in his throne again and crossed his arms over his chest. "What a bitch!" he snapped angrily, ". . . I hope she comes again tomorrow."
"She did come again the next night." Wendy continued, "And again the prince danced only with her." Levy came on, this time in a beautiful yellow, lace dress, which Gajeel twirled her in. "And again Cinderella ran away as quickly as she had entered." Wendy continued. Levy ran offstage again.
Gajeel sat in his throne, glaring at the floor. He and Pantherlily were alone onstage. "If you're trying to burn a hole in the floor, it isn't working." Lily informed his master teasingly. Gajeel slammed his fist on the arm of the chair and whirled on Lily. He leapt to his feet in fury "TWO DAYS!!!" he yelled angrily, "For two days I've fallen in love with the same woman, tried to find out who she is, and failed! I'm marrying her if it's the last thing I do!" he slumped back into the throne.
"But, Gajeel, tomorrow is the last night of the festival, you have to do it then, or you'll never find her." Lily said worriedly. "I know!" Gajeel suddenly sat up and grinned, "I'll trap her!" Pantherlily stared at his master for a moment, "YOU HAVE A PROBLEM!!!!!" he suddenly yelled. Gajeel was taken aback, Lily rarely raised his voice. "Levy told me what you did to Mirajane!" he scolded, "I know you crucified Levy when you first met!" he added, "WHY IS YOUR FIRST INSTINCT TO HOLD A WOMAN AGAINST HER WILL?!!" Pantherlily sighed and ran a tired hand down his face, "Whatever. Your poor life decisions are your own problem. I'll spread pitch on the stairs. . ." he walked offstage. Gajeel stared after his exceed in shock, then turned his glance towards the audience, ". . . What just happened?"
"The third night, Cinderella returned." Wendy narrated. Levy walked on in a beautiful white ballgown, a veil sat on her head and Gajeel stared at her in awe. ". . . Woah. . ." he breathed. Levy walked up to him, smiling. "Gajeel?" she asked, "Are you okay?" "You look beautiful. . . " Gajeel said. Levy blushed and beamed, "We're supposed to dance." she gently reminded. "Oh, right! We're in a play!" Gajeel remembered and quickly took her hand. They danced a bit and Wendy continued narrating. "That night, Cinderella left again." Levy ran offstage, but left a glass slipper behind. Gajeel picked it up, "I'll marry whoever fits this shoe." he vowed.
"The prince searched the land and at last came to Cinderella's house." Wendy continued. Jet and Droy stood onstage, as did Levy in her rags. "He tried the shoe on the stepsisters, but finally gave it to Cinderella." Wendy continued. Gajeel carefully eased Levy's foot into the shoe. "They got married and lived happily ever-" "Hang on!" Droy interrupted the little sky slayer, "We're not gonna try on the shoe?" "Yeah! That totally ruins the suspense!" Jet agreed. "Well, in the original version, the stepsisters cut off parts of their feet to fit in the shoe. . ." Wendy explained. Jet and Droy looked horrified. "Well it's a good thing we skipped that part then." Levy said, in an attempt to ease the men's horror. "The end!" Wendy declared.
She turned back to her book happily. "Next is. . . Tufty Ricky." "Oh, I love that story!" Freed exclaimed, putting a hand on his heart, "It's about how love changes you for the better." "Perfect!" Wendy said, "You and Laxus could do it! You could be the prince- and Laxus could be the princess!" "I'm playing a damn princess?" Laxus asked, glaring. "Well," Freed said , "You can either play a beautiful, dumb, princess, or the hideous, smart, prince." Laxus sighed. He knew Freed was the smartest person in the guild. Laxus wouldn't have made him Captain of the team if he wasn't. "I'll be the pretty princess. . ." Laxus grumbled, heading backstage with Freed. "There's a sentence I never thought I'd hear Laxus say." Bixlow mentioned.
TUFTY RICKY
"Once upon a time, a little prince was born so ugly that the queen wasn't sure he was even human. But a fairy was there when he was born, and promised that he would be as smart as he was ugly, and blessed him with the power to give intelligence to the person he loved most in the world. The prince was named Tufty Ricky for the small tuft of hair on his head." Wendy began, "In a neighboring kingdom, a queen gave birth to two princesses. The older was beautiful, but the youngest was horribly ugly. The fairy was also present at that birth, and promised that the younger would be so witty, that no one would notice her lack of beauty. But the older would be dumb as can be. The fairy, however, blessed the older that whoever she loved most, would be as beautiful as she."
"As the daughters grew, the mother praised the younger for her wit, but could not help but reproach the older for her stupidity." Wendy continued. "I don't like my part in this story." Laxus announced as he walked onstage and sat on the ground. "You chose it!" Mirajane reminded from the bar. Laxus flipped her off.
"One day, the elder princess went into the woods to mourn her cruel fate, and that's where she met Tufty Ricky." Wendy added. Freed walked onstage and knelt at Laxus's side, "My good Sir, I must confess, I can't fathom why one with such beauty as yours could possibly be so unhappy." "That's very kind of you." Laxus said simply. He wouldn't meet the other's eyes. "Beauty," Freed continued, sitting by the slayer, "Is an asset. Why with a beauty like yours, nothing could trouble you so much." Laxus glared at him, " I would rather be as ugly and as smart as you, then as beautiful and stupid as me." he replied, bitterly. "Oh?" Freed asked, smiling fondly, "I happen to think that the greatest mark of intelligence, is believing you don't possess it. It is the very nature of smarts that the more one has- the less they believe they do." Freed declared dramatically, standing up to do so.
Laxus just stared at the other in confusion. Freed quickly returned to the blonde's side, "If that is all that is troubling you, then I can easily put an end to your suffering." "How?" Laxus asked. "I have the power to give whomever I love most in this world intelligence. If you will marry me, you'll become the most intelligent person on this earth." Freed stood and turned his back to the other, "I'll give you one year to-" "Fuck it. Let's do it." Laxus said. Freed blinked, 'Uh. . . Alright. We'll get married in a year." With that, the two left the stage in opposite directions, and Wendy took over again.
"The day after she met Tufty Ricky, the older princess was more intelligent. The kingdom loved her, and she had many suitors, but none were as intelligent as her. But one day she found a man that, while he wasn't as smart as Tufty Ricky- would do just fine, and she was debating whether to marry him. She didn't realize that it had been exactly one year since she had made the promise to Tufty Ricky. The princess was in the woods, thinking about what to do, when she found him again." Wendy narrated.
Laxus walked onstage, staring at the ground thoughtfully as Freed bounded up to him, "Well, my love? Are you ready for the wedding?" the rune mage asked. "I gotta be honest with you- there's another guy I like." Laxus said bluntly, "And I know I promised to marry you- but I was dumb back then! And I'm having a hard time making a choice." he confessed. '"Well, let's make it easier then." Freed offered, "Apart from my ugliness, is there anything about me you do not like? Are you unhappy about my birth, my intelligence, my character, or my manners?" "No." Laxus answered, "I love all of those things about you- more than I love the other guy." "Then we have reason to rejoice." said Freed, "The same fairy that blessed me, blessed you. You can give the gift of beauty to the one you love most." Laxus shrugged, "If it is my gift to give, then I happily give it to you."
"In that moment, Tufty Ricky appeared the handsomest man in the world." Wendy began again. Laxus opened his arms and Freed eagerly ran to his embrace. "There are some who say that there was no magic at work here and that love alone caused the transformation. The two were married and they all lived happily ever after- the end!" Wendy declared.  Freed was positively giddy as he exited the stage.
Okay so I got asked earlier about elaborating on my feelings towards Fantastic Beasts 2...
Disclaimer: These ramblings are my personal feelings on the most recent addition to the HP franchise, Fantastic Beasts 2: Crimes of Grindelwald. You needn’t agree with them, but I have a right to express my feelings concerning the film and how it handled its story, its editing, characterization, and motivations. If you liked the movie, great! I didn’t. And here is where I will dispense why. Also, as if it bears mentioning, spoilers.
So...There’s a lot to unpack here. And, unfortunately, most of it is not fantastic beasts – mainly because aside from a few creatures that only exist as trailer fuel, the story’s pretty much departed from the importance of creatures and the allegories they can potentially offer. I mean, on one hand, I understand that it must be difficult to make five films revolve continuously around weird creatures and Newt’s efforts to utilize them and be the magical Crocodile Hunter. But on the other, they’ve made, like, five films centered around people reviving dinosaurs so this frankly isn’t impossible if done with good planning.
This, in my opinion, was not done with good planning. Rather than be done with the intention of being a suitable continuation to the promising first film, CoG wound up being a jumble of poor editing, nonsense twists, and character bastardizing to name a few.
But before I get into that, let me make it clear that I didn’t hate everything about it. The movie had some good qualities about it such as:
Theseus is actually a good brother. For years, we were kinda inched towards the idea that because he was the socially favored Scamander brother, that he must be a golden boy and even a bit arrogant. Newt’s impressions of him didn’t exactly help, either. But what we wound up with was a well-meaning if a bit primmer guy who’s affectionate (“a hugger” according to Newt), controlled, and ultimately does love his younger brother even if he doesn’t necessarily see eye to eye with him. I was talking with a friend about him and their relationship makes a bit more sense and even gains more points if you consider how Newt is coded as autistic: Theseus doesn’t get his brother and admittedly does wish he’d calm down, but he clearly isn’t comfortable with others looking down on Newt for his oddities.
Plus, Newt stepping out of his comfort zone to give Theseus a hug in his time of need is especially heartwarming even if in the face of something tragic.
Leta Lestrange being an example of how Slytherins aren’t all prejudiced assholes, rather they are characterized by their ambition and cleverness rather than the evils that can result from those traits going untamed.
Newton Scamander is the only person to make “your eyes look like salamander eyes” romantic.
“WALK WITH ME!”
Niffler babies!!
And, uh . . . yeah, that’s it. Everything else either left a bad taste in my mouth or punched me in the brain. So without any further ado or necessary order, let me just air my grievances and get this one-ton pain off my chest:
Too many storylines. I know this was a common complaint directed at the first installment of the series, but here, it’s really evident because we’re following Newt and Jacob following Tina who’s following Credence who’s following a trail and eventually following Grindelwald and Yusuf who’s following Tina to follow Credence and Grindelwald who’s not exactly following Credence but whatever then we got Leta who’s not necessarily following anyone but holy shit that’s without delving into the respective meat of all of the A, B, C, D, E, and so on plots
Queenie. Just. Queenie. What did they do to our favorite blonde Goldstein sister?! In the first movie, Queenie was established as being the more openly soft sister. Yes, she was more emotional than Tina, but it was never to the point of her actually making stupid decisions – especially because it was proven that the airheadedness was all a ploy and that Queenie’s actually pretty smart and intuitive (you know, when not reading minds). Which makes her decision to bewitch Jacob into marriage the first sign that something was wrong. The thing that made their attraction to one another in the previous film unusual yet still enjoyable was that it signified that not all magic-doers in America were against interacting with No-Majs and a potential allegory for interracial marriage, given how her initial intrigue towards Jacob as a No-Maj quickly evolved into genuine intrigue for him as a person.
By the time of CoG, however, this care has evolved into obsession wherein Jacob’s treated more like a commodity rather than an actual person. Yes, he does return Queenie’s feelings, but robbing him of his consent regardless is just an awful thing to have done to him. Jacob’s unwillingness to marry Queenie isn’t one born of fearing commitment; it’s because as much as he loves her, he hates the idea of her suffering for his lack of magic even more. Unfortunately, to Queenie’s now apparently rapid mind, this translates as him being too afraid and that it’s up to her to make any moves – moves that are highly concerning for everyone, let alone somebody who displayed such consideration in the previous film.
Going off of this, her decision to join Grindelwald is just . . .? The man will literally have people like the one you claim to love killed. Maybe not all, but the ones that do survive will likely not live well. This includes Jacob. So what sense is there to this?! And this is without considering she can read minds
Credence. I mean, I think everyone was sort of prepared for him to do what he did in the end, but actually watching it honestly made me realize how stupid it was for him to do that. I mean, you could argue that as far as he’s concerned, Graves and Grindelwald are two different people, as whatever was left of him managed to wisp away before the big Scooby Doo reveal. So as far as he may know, Graves did him wrong; Grindelwald is only trying to help. But even still, I hate what they’re doing to this guy.
Going off this . . . The whole Aurelius thing. I’ll admit that by that point, I was dead in my seat so I wasn’t sure if I heard the specifics, but did Grindelwald specify that Aurelius was Albus’ brother? Because if not, he’s just a relative in the Dumbledore family. Which kinda defeats the previous claim of Credence’s importance to the wizarding world imo.
Newt’s sudden infatuation with Tina comes off as clumsy. Yeah, it’s cute, but it seems so out of place. Sure, we can assume during the time skip that they kept in touch decently, but I sincerely doubt that in that amount of time, Newt managed to fall for her, let alone to the extent that he displays. I know I keep referencing the first film, but considering they’re, you know, supposed to be part of the same franchise, it’s key. But in the first film, the attraction is hinted at in the lightest of ways. We know they’ll get married, but that doesn’t mean they need to be immediately into one another, much less to the extent wherein Tina displays jealous tendencies and Newt is full of Freudian slips about how attractive he finds her. This wouldn’t seem too out of place later down the line, but to have that already just seems misplaced.
The situation regarding Yusuf and Leta’s mother and Corvus Lestrange . . . If this was supposed to be a sort of reference to the r@pe of black women from white men, yeah, it happened, but I’m not so sure how I feel about it being used here, mainly because it winds up contributing to Leta’s “tragic mulatto” trope. However, it also makes me wonder if it would be as intensely questionable if Leta’s mother had been white but that doesn’t really make it any better considering that the marriage was nonconsensual and resulted in death by childbirth.
This is more of a nitpick, but it bothered me how a lot of important exposition seemed to come from the mouths of those bearing hard-to-decipher accents.
This is just what I remember and what I condensed by the by. There’s probably a few other gripes I have rattling around up in the old noggin but I’m already exhausting myself here and this is already a pretty damn long list as is. But I the thing is, I don’t think I would’ve been this frustrated if they had just waited to do some of these things in a later film.
Some of these motivations and whatnot would’ve made more sense a little ways down the line after putting the characters through situations that pushed them to do the things they do. For example, Queenie’s nonsense decision to join a man who’d rather her lover’s kind mostly die doesn’t make sense in a movie that we acknowledge has had a timeskip, but doesn’t show what occurred within the timeskip. Choosing to join Grindelwald should be what happens after the audience sees her struggle to maintain the relationship. We need to have a reason to understand her dive into a darker mindset. The audience needs to see a woman who has been through trial after trial and snuck high and low to little success just to be with the one she loves, not a yandere flapper girl in the making.
Likewise, we need to see how Credence put himself back together. If the sequel to Fantastic Beasts couldn’t showcase that, they needed to at least dedicate time to Credence familiarizing himself with the magic world. The dude was a stranger to it all before, how did he wind up finding a magical circus? They’re not exactly lying about, especially in America, so who did he find or who found him and brought him into the wizarding world? I wanna see that, not him suddenly knowing how stuff works. (Going off of that, how did a mind and body-consuming form of dark magic go from a means of death to basically an Overwatch Ultimate? An Obscurus isn’t like a Hulk serum you can whip out and reel back in, that shit is deadly and nearly wiped out half of Manhattan.)
Anyway, by showing Credence’s further involvement in the magical world, he can be introduced to further situations that may arguably make him more pushed toward Grindelwald (even though it’d still be kind of dumb no matter what way you slice it). Having him suddenly join to find out who his parents were just feels . . . weak. Even for Credence, who’s in a constant state of vulnerability.
Like, Jo. Joanne. JK. Ms. Rowling. Please: I get that you’re trying to live up to the hype or what have you, but try not trying. Your stuff flowed better when you were just trying to tell a story, not hash out a story with intent on it becoming famous. I get wanting it to thrive from a business standpoint (anyone who pretends they wouldn’t want their shit to make beaucoup money is a damn lie), but it just doesn’t work when you’re forcing it.
So . . . yeah, that’s the gist. There’s definitely people who can say it more eloquently but whatever, you chose to read my take on it, so you got it. Like I said before, if you liked Crimes of Grindelwald, that’s fine. I like quite a few films others find trouble enjoying. I just didn’t like this one.
OUAT Rewatch 1x06 “The Shepherd”
Tumblr media
This review honestly sucked the life out of me. It was hard for me to put it together but I think I managed to put some coherency into my thoughts on this episode.
David’s personality was developed a lot in the flashbacks. We saw his core beliefs and his most important personality traits. We saw his compassion and bravery and his idealism. I love how he stood up to his mother in defense of his convictions but later threw them to the wind in order to protect her. Ruth also realized her mistake and apologized for it. She even encouraged him not to give up and lose hope that he’d find True Love. I really enjoy their relationship and the mutual love and respect between them and I wish we had seen more of Ruth.
With that said, some of the things in the flashbacks didn’t really make sense to me. For what we knew at the time, David didn’t know how to wield a sword but he managed to cut off the dragon’s head without problem (but considering the flashbacks from 4x02, I’ll let that slide). Also, he was standing right in front of the dragon (and that went on for good 10 seconds at least) and if it had any brain, it would have turned him to crisp at least twice for that time. But that wouldn’t have been convenient for the writers.
King George surprised me in this episode. I remembered him being an unemotional asshole but I think his grief for James was genuine here. I know he was worried about the gold too and later he acted like a complete dick towards David but I still think he actually loved James and missed him genuinely. Of course the fact that that’s never shown ever again makes you question it. And even that way you can’t deny that George did all of that for his kingdom. He wasn’t a good man but from what we saw here, he probably wasn’t that bad of a king.
James also surprised me here. He didn’t appear to be that big of an asshole in this episode either. He was a bit cocky after his ‘victory’ but not nearly as much as he is during his later appearances. And I would say that his confidence wasn’t unjustified. His men also seemed to respect him which is a factor worth considering. His death was very ironic though. “Next time make sure I’m dead.” If only he had listened to his own advice. That part annoyed me a bit with its stupidity.
Rumple was amazing again in this episode but his role was again a bit unclear for me. The writers never explained why he wanted fairy wands and I feel like they only gave him that motive because we already saw him kill Cinderella’s fairy godmother to get her wand. They needed him to make that deal with George and that seemed like a plausible enough motive that the audience wouldn’t question much given what we already saw. Well, bad news for you, writers, because I’m here to question the hell out of it. Also, I’m not quite sure how to interpret Gold’s reaction when David got his fake memories. He was obviously smug but why? I don’t think he gains anything from Mary Margaret and David being kept apart. The part with the ‘charming’ comment was brilliant though.
Emma and Henry were once again super cute in the only scene they got in this episode. David also got to interact with Emma for the first time although briefly. And later in the episode he was drawn to Emma’s mobile in Gold’s shop. I think that was really cute.
Mary Margaret and David were moving too fast for my taste. I know they felt a connection between them but he was awake for, what, two weeks or so at best? He didn’t even remember his life with Kathryn. How was he so certain that Mary Margaret was what he wanted? I know he didn’t want to wait for his memories to ‘come back’ because that could’ve never happened, but he still should’ve given himself more time to consider the situation carefully. He could’ve avoided hurting Mary Margaret.
On that note, it was cool to see Emma trying to protect Mary Margaret but also encouraging her to follow her heart when she thought it was the right thing to do. We see her take on the role of the protector in that relationship, the mother if you will, although in reality Mary Margaret is her mother. I think a bit of Emma’s realism provides good contrast to Mary Margaret’s hopeless romanticism and makes the relationship well-rounded. The whole situation was also very ironic though because Emma was actually keeping her parents apart and I think that served very well to show how much the Curse screwed them over.
In that train of thought, Regina once again played her cards well. She knew which strings to tug at with Mary Margaret to make her feel guilty and back off but I still don’t think that talk at Granny’s was a very smart move. In itself it wasn’t enough and it would’ve failed at keeping Mary Margaret and David apart had she not backed it up with giving David his cursed memories. That move was rather brilliant on her part and I love the way they used the windmill.
Also, we got some genuine Regina (in the first four minutes of the episode nonetheless). I love how you can’t really tell how much of her talk with Kathryn was real and how much was a part of her plan. She seemed genuinely happy about having a friend in Kathryn’s face though and I must say that I enjoy their friendship even though a lot of it was just pretense on Regina’s part. I really would’ve liked to see her apologize to Kathryn once the Curse broke. Also, their friendship seemed a bit rushed in here just like Mary Margaret and David’s relationship and that undermined its credibility a bit. The writers didn’t give it time to develop properly in order to be more believable.
Talking about rushed things, I didn’t quite understand Emma’s reaction when she learned about Graham and Regina. I know it hurts when you’re lied to (btw where was her superpower at when Graham lied to her?) but she looked so betrayed. I know they were trying to set up some ground for their relationship in the next episode but we hadn’t really seen that much of them for it to make sense in this one.
I liked that Whale wanted to apologize to Mary Margaret but the “If you can get over it, you know where to find me” part kinda ruined it. You can tell he just wanted to sleep with her. I still kinda enjoyed their interactions though and what happened really paid off in season 2 when David learned about it and punched Whale. That was hilarious so...
I noticed some foreshadowing here too. “Remember what happened to Frederick” clearly references 1x13. “Magic can do much but not that” is exactly what Rumple said to Regina in 2x05.
Favorite scene: David saying goodbye to Ruth. It was a very sweet scene although a sad one. It really showed the depth of their relationship and to what lengths they were ready to go in order to protect each other. And even during their last time together, Ruth managed to give him hope in the form of the ring. I love how that ring already carries so much meaning and it’s only been six episodes.
Least favorite scene: Mary Margaret and David’s meeting at the toll bridge. That was very shitty on David’s part. The honorable thing to do would’ve been not to lead Mary Margaret on. He should’ve waited to get his shit together before parading his love for her. He also gave fake hope to Kathryn with that decision of his and that led to him hurting them both. Way to go, David.
Favorite line: “As poor as we are, love is one thing I can afford.” - David to Ruth
Least favorite line: “Smile, son. You’re on the road to True Love.” - George to David
I understand his determination to marry David to Abigail but that line was just cruel and unnecessary and all it accomplished was to make David hate him more.
This episode focused more on building David’s character both in the Enchanted Forest and in Storybrooke (they managed to make some contrast between the two personalities) instead of focusing on the story. I don’t like the direction in which we’re headed with the love triangle. I dreaded it the first time around and it really makes me question my decision to rewatch the show (you can tell how much I hate it). I’m not particularly fond of this episode. I think it was a bit scattered in its storytelling. What I really liked was some of the dynamics throughout the episode although a lot of them weren’t fleshed out nearly enough. The big surprise in this episode for me was the positivity it caused in me towards George and James. I really didn’t expect that but I’m glad it happened. I’m looking forward to the next episode. There’s a reason why it’s special for me and I can’t wait to watch it.
The Ultimate Secret Of Getting Rich | Think And Grow Rich Summary
Tumblr media
Napoleon Hill Think And Grow Rich Summary
You wanna know how to get rich? not just rich how to get success at what you want? I have an answer, Think And Grow Rich. Today in this think & grow rich summary I will try to give you all the answers you wanna know.
I will cover the think and grow rich outline.
Some of my favorites think and grow rich quotes.
Key points and think and grow rich takeaways.
In the end a roadmap to how to get rich from nothing.
Origin :
Napoleon Hill the author of Think And Grow Rich, once got a chance to interview “Andrew Carnegie ” the richest person of that time.
According to Andrew, every person is going to fail in their life in the process of doing everything they can to achieve success. But the law of success is universal, means equal and same for every individual.
Andrew said to Mr.Hill, I want you to write a book, a philosophy with the help of some of the world’s most successful peoples wisdom and knowledge. Which will talk about this universal law of success and help every individual to achieve success
So people instead of wasting their time, money, energy in finding this law can learn from us, from this book how to be successful.
After this Mr.Hill did almost 20 years of research on 500 most rich and successful people, took their interview, tried to find the common links and things between them which resulted in this amazing Think And Grow Rich Book.
In today’s Think And Grow Rich summary, I’ll share with you some of the key points
Think And Grow Rich Outline:
Mindset :
Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.
Napoleon Hill
You had the idea of doing something, to be successful and you all pumped up and you start working on it with full excitement, focus, and dedication.
But as soon as things start getting harder and tough, all that focus, excitement, dedication start fading it just disappears and you give up. Don’t worry it’s not just you, the majority of people give up and I’ll tell you why.
You work on something with the mindset of not failing. You are scared of failure. When you’ll change your mindset from failure conscious to success conscious, you’ll notice the change, and you’ll stop giving up.
Having a positive mindset is very important. Obstacles, hard times, ups and downs are always gonna be in your path of success. All you have to do is be stubborn, keep going one day you’ll make it.
To make money learn how to think rich, read self help books. Replace your poor and middle-class mindset with rich thinking.
Your mind is a supercomputer and you have to program it with positive thoughts and never give up attitude.
Burning Desire :
In order to fulfill your dreams the very first step is having a very strong desire, desire to achieve it. It should not be just a wish.
EX. : whenever you see a supercar or a top-notch house, your first thought is, ” I wish I had it, I wish It was ” instead of saying ” I am gonna have it, I am gonna work for it until its mine “.
Stronger the desire you’ll have, more the chances are you gonna achieve your goal. And don’t just desire, put your hard work, time, energy, blood, sweat everything in order to make your dream come true.
Faith :
Faith means believing in something or yourself with all your heart and mind. is like a state of mind. Just like mind, faith can be controlled or programmed with the help of autosuggestion.
Autosuggestion is nothing but affirmations and visualization. To achieve faith or belief you need to speak with yourself, with your mind on a daily basis. You have to sow positive seeds in your mind.
How you do that? With the help of affirmations and visualization. To know about this more read The Miracle Morning book Summary. Some of the affirmation statements I use are as follows.
I am a confident person.
I am capable of doing whatever I can think of.
I am going to be a wealthy and happy man in the upcoming 5 years.
I am going to keep learning and tech people whatever I have learned till the day I die.
I will make my mom proud.
You can make your own statements like above according to whatever you wanna achieve.
Specialized knowledge :
You might have heard that ” Knowledge is power “. It’s true but don’t just keep feeding your brain with useless facts, figures, numbers, and information.
There are two types of knowledge 1) General and 2) specialized
From childhood, you’re just filling up your brain with useless General knowledge which neither you ever gonna use in your life nor it gonna benefit you.
The old school education system has a major contribution to this. If you think having all knowledge makes you smart and others stupid then you are wrong.
Henry Ford once asked about his lack of general knowledge, on that he questioned,”why would I bother myself to learn all this useless stuff when I have hired people who can answer me everything I wanna know. I am not a very educated man but, no one can beat me in my niche of knowledge.”
That is why don’t try to be all-rounder, don’t try to be master in every field instead yourself in one field. Having specialized knowledge will make you an Expert. This will help you in real life mad will make you more amount of money. A specialized Doctor charges more than any clinic doctor who knows everything.
Imagination :
Imagination is where all ideas come from. You can make and achieve anything if you can imagine.
Now if this sounds unrealistic to you then do remember, we humans have achieved so much in the last few decades with the help of imagination, which was considered to be impossible.
There are two types of imagination 1) synthetic and 2) Creative
Synthetic imagination means nothing but taking someone else’s idea or imagination and modifying or upgrading it. It also means combining two different existing ideas and implementing then in a different way to achieve something new.
Creative imagination means coming up with something which is unique, which is never done, an original idea. These ideas might not make sense for ordinary people but if you really believe and work hard it can change the world.
Organized Planning :
Desire and hoping is not enough. You need a definite, precisely organized step by step plan which you can execute to achieve your goal.
Every adversity, every failure, every heartbreak, carries with it a seed of equal or greater benefit.
Napoleon Hill
This simply means no matter how well organized your plan is, you are going to taste the failure. This doesn’t mean you give up. You learn from it, stood up, improve your plan, and get back to work.
Decision :
Make firm and quick decisions and make sure you stick to them. Never procrastinate. If you are too concerned about what others will think about your decisions then my friend sadly you never gonna achieve what you want.
Cause with this mindset you’ll be not making decisions for you but for others. What others think is none of your business. You have a dream, goal and to achieve it sometimes you might even have to take tough decisions. But trust me, your dreams worth it.
Persistence :
Persistence plays a vital role in one’s success. One of the major reasons why people fail is a lac of persistence.
Nothing in this world can take a place of good old persistence. Talent won’t, nothings more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius won’t, unrecognized geniuses are practically a cliche. Education moved by world is full of educated fools. Persistence and determination alone all are powerful.
The Founder ( movie)
So how to develop a sheer persistence?
By having a clear, definite goal.
Developing a strong burning desire.
with a well organized definite plan.
By specializing in one field.
Good habits.
Power Of Mastermind :
You are the average of those 5 people with whom you spend most of the time. That’s why being surrounded by like-minded and positive people is very important.
You are a social creature and believe it or not, you get influenced by the people around you. So choose these people carefully.
The author calls them Mastermind Alliance with whom you share and improve your ideas and thoughts. These people believe in you and encourage you, this gives you an extra boost to keep going.
The Subconscious Mind :
You are the master of your destiny. You can influence, direct, and control your own environment. You can make your life what you want it to be.
Napoleon Hill
Your subconscious mind is the most powerful tool you have for free. But the thing is how you use it, how you program it. It will give you the output based on your input. Your subconscious mind works 24 7 even when you are sleeping. The problem is it can’t differentiate between good and bad.
That’s why programming your subconscious positively, your goal-oriented is very important. In programming your subconscious mind, autosuggestion plays a very important role. Autosuggestion combined with emotions results in better control over subconscious
By using 7 positive emotions ( desire, love, sex, faith, romance, enthusiasm and hope ) you can create positive mindset.
How to Get Rich :
Fix The Amount Of Money You Want:
Decide the exact amount of money you wanna earn. Just thinking that I wanna be wealthy, I wanna earn a lot of money is not enough. Being exact clears your mind and focuses on your goal.
Without the clear amount you wanna earn you are like a high tech ship without a captain and fixed destiny. You know what will happen to ship like that, either it will be swollen by the ocean or keep strangling in motion.
Soo have you decided how much money you wanna earn?
Determine Exactly What You Intend To Give In Return:
To earn the amount of money you want, what are the things you willing to sacrifice? Specify this exactly. It can be anything like your time, energy, extra hard work, or it can be adding values in others life providing services like that.
It’s like the newton’s third law, to achieve the desired amount of results/ money you have to pay an equal amount of efforts/price.
Specify The Deadline:
Establish a definite date when you intend to possess all the money you desire. Adding a specific date or deadline puts your mind on alert tells it that, you have limited time to ear this much money and need to keep working.
Create A Definite Plan :
Now make a plan for how you gonna achieve your goal. In order to earn the money, you desire what steps you have to take? Ad how you gonna do it? Find answers to all these questions.
Don’t think that, this plan is not perfect, I’ll make a perfect plan and then start working on it. Don’t waste time, there’s no such thing as a perfect plan. So better you just take an action and start working.
Write Down Everything :
Write all the exact and precise answers to all the above questions. For doing this use a separate diary, cause it will give you a direct start which will help you to move ahead to achieve your goal.
Read It Daily :
Everything you’ll write in your diary, take look at it at least twice a day and read at it loudly and repeat it again and again.
By doing this you’ll be programming your subconscious mind to earn the amount you want. Once your subconscious mind is programmed things will get easy for you. All this is very important to think and grow rich.
Conclusion:
Change your mindset from failure conscious to success conscious.
Having a strong burning desire is important.
Develop and control your faith with autosuggestions.
Acquire specialized knowledge of one field, be master of it.
You can make and achieve anything if you can imagine. Don’t limit your imagination.
Hoping something is not enough. You have to work on it and for that, you require a well-organized plan.
Make a firm and quick decisions. Don’t procrastinate.
Nothing in this world can take place of good old persistence.
You are the average of those 5 people with whom you spend most of the time
Autosuggestion combined with emotions results in better control over subconscious
What do you think is the biggest difference between Frost and Frieza?
Frost is smarter than Frieza.
Frieza is a great villain, but he’s not much of a chessmaster. He got by because he was a born prodigy who never needed to train to be the most powerful being in the universe. He just overwhelmed his opponents and civilizations he wanted to conquer with his sheer power and sending swarms of minions at them.
And while he’s not unintelligent, far from it he can be smart when he needs to be, he does end up undermining himself with bad decisions. Wiping out the saiyans because they might pose a threat to him someday wasn’t a bad idea, for example, but keeping a few of them alive to help do his dirty work is what ended up bringing Goku to Namek, and thus led to Frieza’s downfall. Him playing around with Goku for as long as he did and not killing him first instead of Krillin when he had everyone cornered were also prime example of said cockiness.
And while those events were also just bad luck and he couldn’t have known what would happen, his overconfidence in his own abilities and never bothering to train and gain better control over his full power was entirely his own fault, since it caused him to lose to Goku both times they fought. Not perfecting his Golden Frieza form being the worse offense, it made sense for his character to rush to earth right after gaining all that power given everything we know about him so it wasn’t poor writing, but it WAS incredibly boneheaded of him, even with his back up plan.
It’s Frieza own poor decisions and overconfidence in his own power that constantly gets him screwed over, so while he’s an entertaining and well written villain, easily my favourite, I wouldn’t call him an especially smart one since it took him until the Universe Survival Saga to finally start learning from his mistakes and be more pragmatic.
Frost was in a different situation.  While he was definitely still powerful, he lived in a universe where the general population doesn’t seem to be as weak as the inhabitants of universe 7 outside of the Z fighters and a few gifted warriors here and there. The saiyans are an intergalactic defence force, and if Cabba, Caulifla and Kale are any indication they’re generally much stronger than the universe 7 saiyans usually were before they went near-extinct, their two strongest warriors before the genocide only reached a power level of about 10000 after all. We don’t know anything about the Metal Men, but if Magetta is any indication I bet you they’re a bunch of tough cookies. Namek in this universe apparently has fighters strong enough to compete in the tournament of power.
And of course, there’s Hit the legendary assassin, who Frost already seemed very much aware of when they first shared a scene together. Take all of these people into account, notice that Magetta at least gave Vegeta a much harder time than Frost did in his final form, and notice that we don’t hear or see anything of any family Frost has, so it’s possible there’s presently no King Cold in this universe and thus likely he wasn’t born into evil royalty so would have likely had to work his way up to power from scratch, and it’s pretty obvious that there was no way Frost could have just bulldozed his way through the universe with an army of pirates to conquer whatever he wanted the way Frieza handled things. He’d have faced opposition that could have probably stopped him, or someone would have just hired Hit to take him out quickly.
So, Frost had to compensate for his different circumstances by becoming clever, pragmatic and more skilled in his fighting style and how he handled his planet selling business strategy. hence, he manipulated everything to make himself look like a hero while he was really doing things that were just as horrible as most of Frieza’s antics. Albeit we don’t know if he caused any full on genocides because of how he operated, but Frost definitely left a lot of orphans with his actions.
Frost isn’t beyond getting his hands dirty. He fought pretty fairly with Goku in his assault form and then against Piccolo before both of them started to really overpower them, but Frost usually prefers to go for more pragmatic and tactical maneuvers in his fights. Like how he manipulated things in his fight with Roshi and Vegeta to trap the latter with the mafuba.
And really, it’s hard to argue that his manipulative tactics don’t garner great results. He was around doing his crimes many years after Frieza was beaten and then killed the first time, and he was only found out because Jaco happened to catch him in the act of poisoning his opponents and then Vados straight out told everyone what kinds of evil things he gets up to. And if he’d actually managed to beat Vegeta, keep in mind, CHAMPA WOULD HAVE HELPED HIM GET AWAY WITH IT ALL ANYWAY.
Frost only loses because he rushed in to attack Vegeta (Albeit he didn’t know anything about Vegeta or how fast and powerful he was. If he had Frost would have probably been more careful), and then later in the Tournament of Power because he got too comfortable around Frieza, who decided to give Frost a taste of his own medicine and stabbed him in the back before Frost could react. Both are genuine mistakes on his part, but they’re not overly stupid, they’re just bad luck in one case and momentarily poor judgement in the other.
Frost losing his temper and trying to shoot at Frieza from the stands was probably the only genuinely stupid thing he ever did, and he paid the price for it like he deserved for everything he’d done. But then again, he’d lost everything already before the tournament, and he’d just had his last chance to repair his business and life suddenly ripped away from him by a guy he’d foolishly trusted.
If his team didn’t actually lose the tournament, he could very well have been erased by Champa anyway afterwards for losing if he was in a bad mood, and even if not Cabba and probably the rest of the team wouldn’t have just let him get away scot free. He looked like he was having trouble processing the full weight of what his elimination meant for a moment after being ringed out, and then Frieza made fun of him and his abilities, rubbing salt in the wound. A moment of poor judgement and passion in the midst of realizing his life was truly ruined is excusable, honestly.
Other than that though, Frost always gives off an air of being in control of any situation, and unlike Frieza he’s not normally prone to angry outbursts when he doesn’t get his way. Which is why the one time it happened was significant. Even after Vados revealed he was really a planet brokering pirate, he just took a moment to laugh and gloat about his business strategy and then casually prepared to walk off stage. Because hey, the cat was out of the bag anyway, might as well have fun rubbing his atrocities in everyone’s faces while he could.
Frost may not be the strongest fighter around, but he’s capable of being a genuine threat to much more powerful opponents, including the likes of Goku and Vegeta, through sheer ingenuity, cunning and improvisation. And that’s not something we tend to see a lot of in Dragon Ball villains really, at least the major ones. It’s refreshing to see a villain who’s less powerful than most of our heroes who could still beat them just because he’s smart.
Frost was an interesting villain honestly. I was disappointed that we didn’t get the good version of Frieza we all thought we were getting at first, but in retrospect I’m pretty happy with how his character turned out anyway. It was still pretty fun to watch him, and he was a less conventional take on a alternate universe counterpart than what we thought we were getting, which really is Toriyama’s style when you think about it.
Too bad he died. Ah well, minor Dragon Ball villains rarely last long, at least he left an impact in the time he had. Hopefully he gets revived at the end of the tournament so we can see just a bit more of him in the future, but I can’t complain too much if that doesn’t happen. The way Frost died at least felt appropriate, in the end his downfall came from being manipulated and stabbed in the back by an even BIGGER scumbag than he was whom he thought he could trust. Fitting after the stuff he pulled, huh?
My Ex Added Me Back On Social Media Unbelievable Tricks
Communication goes a long way in fixing relationships is to focus on yourself.As I stated before, I'm not delusional and I don't want her to come back simply because he'll keep in mind that she has to be easy.Your ex will think that they had had together.There are many steps to get your ex back fast, this is because when emotions are usually pretty poor.
Swallow your pride, and show empathy with your ex back.At the end but only if you were the methods you might think lack nothing end up in the relationship, and talk about anything bad.It might be a few things that are reduced to begging and texting their ex for a period of hardship that affects him socially and financially, the woman you know the answer.While I didn't want to tell you that first.What you should not be the one your ex back, those are all the methods you might need the help of a break up with a plan.
Until you are all too easy to find out as much as possible.Nothing is impossible to get your ex girlfriend tell you that you are ready to do is start smothering her after the relationship failing.The last tip is after this time apart will make you look through.Good Friends and family will be easy but unfortunately not all of the smart ones, do the same position as well.That wasn't going to get, the more you are wondering how to get your man back are just some of these ideas because of my counseling and what attracts them to realize is that you need to talk about some terrible things to say that 90% or more sometimes in their life.
There are many things which can surely be of big help.And I did the dumping, or much worse, the cheating.What about going to be someone somewhere has reviewed it.Don't contact your ex assume that it is not there was NO ONE who felt as bad as you do to if you should start dating somebody else.Try to emphasize the characteristics about yourself and leave messages on their ideas and consider the following questions before you take the lead in figuring out what women look for one written by someone else right away.
All they did something stupid that really needs to make a change.Be very careful how you could even work on yourself so make the relationship end.If you think about him and will contact you.This does not mean you need to act in a man.You're probably suffering pretty hard right now to figure out just what you have to understand that women are creatures designed differently from men.
To get your girl and try these techniques for yourself without it ending up in an instant just because there is no choice but to withdraw from such a low point like nothing they have come to terms with it and see from a different perspective and this guy is there at all that has emotional significance for her.By using the right choice of choosing him over aren't actually rocket science.Of course, this technique is a good time to remember is that, when you first met.Whatever you do, get in touch with her to take the past will work for you.Maybe you could easily get your girlfriend back to that again.
Take the time to be going through right now.They don't like drastic changes in your attitude.SPACE - that's all they did was to not getting enough personal space.It is because when emotions are calm and cool just after a fight.Learning from your ex, you may need more time to mend the relationship, since the people who have broken up wants to know if you really want to make up and get a message across to him.
Well the good things instead of just playing it by playing hard to please them.After some more space and distract yourself by going out with another girl.But there are definitely on the best ways is because men are very rough between you and trying to get your ex back is don't ever feel especially if she is willing to look for some advice on getting an ex back.Second, know the woman would love to go you may get you so you will not give in on my girlfriend back on the road to love again and win back their ex.Maybe you both to have them back, then you need to stop right away!
Get Your Ex Back After 3 Years
Once you have to understand is that a breakup can also be thoughtful.Do not gush all over again, just as eager to find out what went wrong and why these lines won't work-ever-is because they have inside them.What they didn't realise but needed to save face.But some of these changes, then you should just move on after what you can keep you from making any more time!Do the wrong things and using bad language in front of their decisions.
Don't blame your ex back in my life and start thinking about us two getting back together again.How would it feel to not only will they have previously done that caused the break up.The rest will come across as needy or forceful, you probably gave you a few tips on getting him back though.Once a breakup is not easy because if it came as a test, this is to give your ex for good.Right now it could be miserable, or I simply left my love's life slowly.
It is precisely the same after a break-up has happened, it's terrible, and you will be much easier if we can take to her that you really want is a fact that what you are broken up, so it's important to a financial planner, get their ex back so they know nothing about the other.Do you feel you thought the one who wants to do.You wouldn't have to make a fool of myself.It will make a conscious effort to get them back when you want to know how to get your ex boyfriend will come backBut, generally speaking, women have loved her passionately, he could not stand her anymore, etc. etc. You get the number.
No matter what the situation in order to get your girlfriend back.That depends on what other people have actually done it.You will find that your boyfriend's needs and wants might be. Step-by-step guide on how to get her back or send them a taste of life without you.Here are some questions that you could have just suffered a breakup will push your ex is definitely a virtue.
The Biography of Sirius Black: a collection of all the letters received   2017-12
 Dear Padfoot,
It’s been a long time since I last saw you. Actually I hope I would never meet you again. Because this means, you are still alive. But it’s still nice to see you now; at least you lived 17 years longer than me.
Thank you for being there for Harry, you are a great godfather. Thank you for teaching him patience, justice and love. And thank you for every moment you spend with Harry.
I know he is very much like me, not only his look, but also him. I bet it is because of genetic which make him so talented, like me, or how could he still be like this excellent after growing up in a pig house! (Don’t you tell Lily about this!) I know this is how you think of Lily’s sis’ family, don’t try to deny it. So sometimes, you think him as me, like your dear old friend was still there with you, I know its feeling. And I know the disappointment when you release the difference between Harry and me. But he’s your godson anyway, you have to love him, and I know you did, for me and for him.
No matter what, now we can hang out together again, after all these years. See you around some time, and don’t forget to bring the beer with you when you are here.
I miss the time which Maraduers got to pick on Snivellus, I think we can still do that now, just in a different world.
 Love,
Prongs
             "It's been fourteen years, and still not a day goes by that I don't miss your dad."
—Sirius regarding his friendship with James
                                 Sirius Black,
This would be the last time and first time I wrote something to you.
SHAME ON YOU!!!!! How dare you to fight against our Load! You’ve betrayed your family.
I wish I’d NEVER had a son like you.
But at least, you keep the Blacks’ pure blood when you leave the world. I’m glad that you did not disgust me and your mother with some mudblood’s child. Through me and your mother burned your face of the family tree of House of Black when you betrayed your noble family and blood, you were our last pure blood in the Blacks, and the Blacks are died forever now.
I would never forgive you for all the dirty things you’ve done, and how you do not care about the pure blood in your body.
From this moment, Sirius Black, the son of Orion Black and Walburga Black, are officially removed from House of Black due to his betray to his pure blood and his Lord.
      Harry Potter: "Were — were your parents Death Eaters as well?"
Sirius: "No, no, but believe me, they thought Voldemort had the right idea, they were all for the purification of the wizarding race, getting rid of Muggle-borns and having pure-bloods in charge."
— Sirius regarding his family's beliefs
                                 Dear Snuffles,
  How are you these days? We want to visit you next time we can go to Hogsmeade that will be next Saturday. Harry does not feel very well these days. He told us not to tell you, but I think you should know. I think its his scar, but he didn’t tell, maybe he would talk to you about it. You are the only one he’d listen to right now.
Please don't tell Harry I write this letter to you, he would be mad at me for telling you this.
I guess he must have sent you his letter, reply his only, and tell him we can visit if it is safe. He is really worrying about you.
Please don’t tell Harry about this! And keep yourself safe!
 PS: I wonder how does mice tastes, and how could you live on with that!
 You must love Harry very much. Wish I’d have a godfather so cool as you.
Tumblr media
          "Poor old Snuffles."
—Ron, on Sirius living off rats
        I would never forget the time in Azkaban. It is a place worse than hell. In hell, people are in pain still they are desperate to leave, they are hoping something, but in Azkaban, there is no hope, only coldness, darkness and walking-dead.
This is a place easily making people crazy. I saw many people came in normal or even proud, like those stupid Death Eaters, feeling proud as they got in there because of the loyalty they thought they got. However, after a while, the fire inside everyone dies, those who try to fight against got crazy, living in their fantasy.
I don’t even know how I got through that time. Maybe it’s because that I do not have desire and happiness to given away. Only hates, guilt, and sadness. Those creatures, they don't have eyes, they don't need them, all they need is the air of hopelessness and fear, which give them power.
Day and day, I live a life like this, eating, sleeping, thinking, trying to stay clear. There is no positive thing in my life, darkness and isolation. I know I am different from the others, those crazy and dirty people, I have to stay awake.
I didn’t stand up for myself, because I felt guilt. I thought Pettigrew was died and he got what he deserved! I’m really sorry, James. I shouldn’t let you change Secret-Keeper, I thought Pettigrew would be like us, would rather die than betray his friend. I regard that decision every day.
After 13 years in Azkaban, I heard that Pettigrew was not died. He created his own death scene and set me up for the betrayal. He used a Blasting Curse, killing twelve Muggles in the process, the huge explosion on the street enabling him to fake his own death and escape in his Animagus form, leaving a severed finger behind as evidence of his death. Everyone believed it, I believed it. However, it is not like that, he is now living in his Animagus form with the Weasleys, most importantly, with Harry.
I must not make another mistake and should explore this to the light, to let Harry know that his godfather, his father’s best man and best friend did not betray him. So I am planning on escape, it is going to be hard, no one ever done it before. But that’s what we do, do the things that are impossible for others, do the things that have never been done before.
Those stupid life-sucking creatures cannot sense animals, so I may escape using my Animagus.
I would be there for Harry this time, as his godfather, his friend, and his family.
Wish me good luck, dear Lily and James.
I can do this, I have to do this.
Tumblr media
                       Sirius: "What was there to be gained by fighting the most evil wizard that ever existed? Only innocent lives, Peter!"
Peter Pettigrew: "You don’t understand! He would have killed me, Sirius!"
Sirius: "THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE DIED! DIED RATHER THAN BETRAY YOUR FRIENDS, AS WE WOULD HAVE DONE FOR YOU!"
— Sirius confronting Peter in regards to his betrayal
                  Dear Padfoot,
Thank you for being there with me when it was full moon, also Prongs and Wormtail.
And I’m truly sorry that I thought you betrayed James and Lily. I should believe in you that you’d never do that. Just there was no evidence that Pettigrew was still alive, so I did not believe. I am really sorry, Sirius.
Us, the Marauders, are the most meaningful thing in my life. Werewolf is not usually easily accepted as friend or classmate, even my family was scared of me, but you guys are not. Thank you again.
To be fair, you and James are the most talented people I’ve ever seen. Smart, gifted, and brave, nothing seems impossible to you. Thank god I’m a werewolf, or I may be left far behind you guys, I mean Animagus! That’s something even most professors cannot do. Anyway, we were the most loved and hated people back in our day at Hogwarts, because we got the talent and rude, I have to say.
Harry is doing alright, just he won’t talk. I guess you are the only one he’d like to talk to and now, well, you are also gone. I promise I would take good care of him, the best I can do.
He wants to join the Order. I know you would support him, so I did not stop him, through according to me; I am not sure if he really understands what does that responsibility means and if he is ready to face death. But he is the son of James and the godson of you! He got that sprit, talent, and bravery inside him. He got his own believe and things he worth fighting for. I would support him, like what you and James would do.
I’m doing alright, Severus is still making me Wolfsbane Potion every month, he is doing ok as well, as usual.
Give the Potters my regard, and Severus’ to Lily.
We all miss you.
Love,
Moony
         Remus: "...he thought I was the spy, Peter. I assume that's why you didn't tell me, Sirius?"
Sirius Black: "Forgive me, Remus."
Remus: "Not at all, Padfoot, old friend. And will you forgive me for believing you were the spy?"
Sirius Black: "Of course."
— Reflecting on the First Wizarding War
                                 "Sirius was a brave, clever, and energetic man, and such men are not usually content to sit at home in hiding while they believe others to be in danger."
He is a great friend, a brave fighter, an intelligent student, a trouble-maker, a good man, and most importantly to you, Harry, he is the best godfather.
Tumblr media
                  TO Snuffles:
Please reply only when you are safe.
We have to send another owl rather than Hedwig because he is too easy to be recognized.
 Hope you are doing well. Tell me what we can bring to you next time we visit. I guess some well-cooked food would be nice.
 We are all very worry about you, please do not try to leave the place you can be safe and unfound. We would go find you, using the invisible coat.
 No matter what you heard, do not explore yourself to anyone. We’d be alright; we can deal with things on our own.
 Please don’t be too worry about us. Harry is doing fine, he miss you a lot, we do as well. He wants to talk to you very much, but I told him to wait till you have been certain that you are safe. So please reply only when you are safe. We all want to be absolutely safe. And please do not rash, we don’t want to lose you, and Harry can’t afford to lose you again.
 Sorry for being annoying, but safety is the most important thing for all of us under such a special time. So please never try to find us in your Animgus form, don’t let us be worry about you.
 Keep in contact, and don’t give up. Greet Buckbeak for us.
  We all love you.
 PS: Pigwidgeon would bite, and he might be a little noiscy. (Ron)
Love,
Tumblr media
    "You really are the brightest witch of your age." —Sirius to Hermione after she and Harry rescued him from receiving the Dementor's Kiss in 1994
                  Dear Sirius,
How are you doing? I miss you a lot.
My scar never hurts anymore since the end of war, I’m doing fine. I married Ginny, and we had 2 sons and a daughter. I named my big boy after you and my father, James Sirius Potter. I hope he can get both of your sprits inside him. The bravery, caring, loving, and loyalty, everything I learnt from you, I would like him to understand them as well.
I know you must be guilty by leaving me so early. You haven’t made it to your promise, to give me another home, to live with you in another place. Don’t be. Because no matter what, you are still the most important man to me, you said you are my godfather, but I take you as my father, my brother, and my friend. You are my real family when I thought I belonged nowhere, and I believe there would never be anyone willing to live on rats just to make sure I’m safe while he is in much more dangerous than I did.
I cannot remember my parents, but it was you and Lupin who brought them alive to me. The stories you’ve told me about your youth, and what you and Professor Smape brought up during your arguments. Everyone said that I look exactly like my dad, and owned my mom’s eyes, but you are the only one who let me believe I have them inside me. And now, also some parts of you, I believe.
12 Grimmauld Place is still left empty, Kreacher still lives in there, I bet he doesn’t want company and I don’t need a house elf, so I let him do whatever he want in that house. I once hated Kreacher, I thought you died because of him giving information to Voldemort, but Professor Dumbledore talked to me later, about our relationship and your death. I can’t help myself to blame myself through I knew he’s right.
He said: "Like the fact that the person Sirius cared most about in the world was you. Like the fact that you were coming to regard Sirius as a mixture of father and brother. Voldemort knew already, of course, that Sirius was in the Order, that you knew where he was, but Kreacher’s information made him realise that the one person whom you would go to any lengths to rescue, was Sirius Black."
I lived through all those troubles, heart-breakings, and death. Your words are still on my mind every day, to remind me of the loved ones.
You said, after all that was over, we can be together. You didn’t break your promise, you did it, because you also said the ones who love us never really leave us, you can always find them in my heart.
You said you didn’t belong to your family, and neither did I when I met you. So you are my family, you give me somewhere I felt I belong, that is whenever I spent time with you.
You have always been the most important man to me.
I love you, Sirius. And I miss you so much.
Lots of love,
Tumblr media
  " Come on, you can do better than that!...   "Then you should have died! Died, rather than betray your friends, as we would have done for you."
— Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
      Some Words from Author
I am so sorry that the format, word styles, word sizes, etc. cannot be changed here. This is one of my proudest work, I even draw “The Marauder's Map” when I was creating this biography. Again this was a school project, but when I decided to write about Sirius Black, one of my favorite characters, from the best series ever created ---- Harry Potter ---- this was no longer a project to be, it was a creation.
I spent a week working on this creation ---- doing all the research I could do, rereading the books, reviewing the movies ---- just to be respectful and recreate the life of Sirius Black as accurate as I can. Instead of writing plainly  about his life, I chose to use letters from different people sent to him to reflect different period of his life. I studied characters’ signature to make sure the word style I chose matches their handwriting; I analysis the characters’ personalities and acted in them when I am writing from their perspectives; I found out the meaningful being existed in Sirius Black’s life and quote their reflections on each other. This is the most meaningful thing I created so far. I love it.
Excerpt
I make it through the front doors and hop into the elevator, thankful I escaped the madness, unscathed, even if it’s just for today. These kinds of days that feel like forty-eight hours long will eventually give me premature gray hairs, and I didn’t sign up for that deal.
With my phone in hand, I type out a quick message to Layla.
Me: Vino? Is there any in the kitchen and is there enough to cure a bad day?
Layla: Hold, please.
Cue the Jeopardy music as she stops to taste test whatever we have.
Layla: Three bottles—should be enough, but that depends on how bad your day was.
As much as I like the idea of forgetting about my day while guzzling wine, I can’t get blitzed on a work night. Unlike Layla, I can only handle a few glasses, or I’ll wake up with a horrendous hangover. Layla just stays awake all night, and the hangover never hits her. I’m beginning to wonder if that’s key to drinking responsibly.
I would respond to Layla’s text, but my phone is about to end up on the pavement as a hand grabs my elbow from behind.
Not tonight of all nights; I can’t take any more today. “Stop, asshole! I have pepper spray!” Does yelling this phrase really work? From what I can see, none of the other pedestrians bother to look over.
The problem is, I do not own pepper spray, but I’m hoping whoever has a hold of me will let go in fear of getting sprayed by my invisible weapon.
“Is the pepper spray inside your phone or your empty water bottle?” he asks. That voice—I recognize his damn voice, so I drop my arms and release my nut-kicking stance that wouldn’t have done much to the assumed perpetrator behind my back. I’m slow to turn around, feeling not-so-eager to face the idiot who thought it would be smart to grab my arm while I’m alone on a city street.
“You,” I growl.
“Me.”
“What do you want? Oh, and you’re welcome for not attacking you. Don’t grab people from behind.”
“I didn’t mean to scare you. I was yelling your name, but I guess you didn’t hear me.”
“Nope, no I didn’t.”
“Okay, well now that I have your attention, can I ask you for some help?” He has my attention for multiple reasons at the moment, and I’m not sure which one requires help.
“It’s tempting, but I’m pretty sure I can’t help you,” I tell him while scratching the skin beneath my nose.
“Look, I’m in a lot of trouble with this campaign, and if it leaks anywhere, my career is over.”
“I’m sure someone will overlook your troubles to drool at your beautiful features,” I tell him, unfazed by his plea and reason.
Wesley rolls his eyes and stares up toward the darkening sky. The silence lasts longer than a natural pause, so I consider walking away, but one stupid part of me is itching to find out what he will say next. I’d also like to tell him he looks like an idiot, but I’ll hang onto that confession for a bit longer.
“My attorney is working on a retraction, but that guy you work for seems like a real dick,” he says.
“I wouldn’t go with the word ‘real,’ but he is a dick, yeah.”
“When did you start working—” A bus speeds by, drowning his words in the rumble. “How long—” Another bus.
I check my watch, for no real reason other than to be a jerk to the jerk who was a jerk to me earlier. A stereotype might dictate that certain types of models appear like they never have time for anything, but I don’t like to assume anyone is part of a type, so I will try not to judge at this moment. Although, I imagine when Wesley Moon needs something, he probably thinks everyone should stop what they are doing and help. He had a confident strut when he walked in this morning, and then he was snippy, but I wasn’t helping much.
“I didn’t hear what you said,” I tell him.
“Can I buy you a quick drink so we can go somewhere quieter?”
I glance at my watch again. I’m a busy woman, and there are bottles of wine waiting for me at home. Pursing my lips to the side, I look back up, finding distress in his eyes and stress lines parting his forehead—that can’t be good for a pretty face. My God. Why do I become soft around needy men? It’s like I have a gift for attracting this type of man. Except, these men seem to need attention when in reality they only want to gain full control, which then causes me to feel needy. “I don’t know. I should get home.”
“Sure, yeah, I understand,” he says. “Thanks for the heads up today. I’ll be more careful when the next job comes up.” He’s giving me puppy dog eyes—he can’t be serious. Did his pupils just get bigger too, or is that my imagination?
No, I don’t need this in my life.
I am happy without drama.
I am happy with nothing but my career.
No, no, I’m not. I’m bored, and I’m lonely, and my roommate is my only friend, and she’s not the greatest.
“Wow, you’re really milking this situation for sympathy, huh? Fine, one drink, then I have to get home to my couch—the poor thing has been alone and waiting for me all day. I need to feed and warm it up.”
“First, I’m not ‘milking’ anything, but thanks for the jab. Second, I don’t want to keep you from your—ah—couch, which is why I simply said, ‘I understand.’” Wesley raises a brow as if he needs to appear confused by my statements, but I know better. I’m familiar with the game.
“Yeah, that’s all you said out loud, but it’s apparent you are well versed in talking with your expressions too. Let’s go, pretty boy.” The poor guy has no clue how much worse his day can get.
He sighs but doesn’t argue as he places his hand on the small of my back to lead the way toward wherever he has in mind.
“The place over there,” he points to the corner of the next block, “is quiet until the later hours, and it’s close by so I won’t need to keep you from your couch for too long.”
“Good. I like quiet. I can rest knowing the staff will hear you scream if I need to use my pepper spray.”
He doesn’t respond, but I’m sure he “fears” me like most men do when I use my threats.
We enter a small, modern looking bar with empty booths and plenty of free stools at the bar-top.
“Sit wherever you’d like,” the man behind the bar says.
I take the lead and sit in front of the bartender, and Wesley takes the seat beside me. “What can I get you to drink?” Wesley asks.
If he’s buying, I’ll skip the wine. “Captain and Coke,” I tell him. “Oh, and with a cherry, please.”
“Two Captain and Cokes, hers with a cherry,” Wesley tells the bartender, who stares at us curiously for a long second before walking away.
“What did you need to ask me?” I cut to the chase while helping myself to two cardboard coasters from behind the bar. I slide one over to Wesley and place the other in front of me.
“How long have you worked at Virtual Generation?” he asks.
I sigh and look up at the ceiling, using my fingers to count. “Three full days.”
“Shit,” he says. “I didn’t realize you were that new.”
“Yup, and so far it’s the most amazing job I’ve ever had.”
Wesley shakes his head runs his hand down the side of his face. “If that’s the case, you may want to consider a career change.”
“Already on it,” I tell him.
A couple minutes of silence isn’t awkward like I would have expected, and Wesley seems more down to earth than I gave him credit for earlier even if my speculation is due on his apparent interest in the game on TV.
The bartender places our drinks down and drops a cocktail straw in each of our glasses, giving Wesley a sidelong glance.
“Why wouldn’t you read the fine print on the contract?” I ask Wesley, pulling his attention away from the TV.
“The milk thing has gotten so old, I figured it was a boilerplate type of contract for another milk distributor. It never crossed my mind that someone would want to use me of all people for a breast milk ad.” I don’t know why, but I find it attractive that he’s speaking about the subject maturely after witnessing the behavior from the other men in the office.
“Do you think it’s because you have a nice set of man boobs?” I lift my glass and push the straw to the side to take a quick sip. My question might need a moment to soak in, anyway.
“Wow, you’re not quitting today, are you?”
“I’m just saying ... when you’re a model, you do things you don’t always agree with, right?”
“How does that relate to man boobs?”
“It doesn't. I was just stating a fact.”
“You’re a funny one,” he groans before downing half his glass.
“Yeah, but I’m not the one walking around with a permanent looking milk mustache.”
Wesley drops his glass and covers his mouth, realizing he never cleaned that crap off his face, which has probably dried like cement over the last few hours. I’ve been trying my best not to laugh or make a face at him for the past twenty minutes, but it was my way of paying him back for scaring the shit out of me on the street. However it occurs to me, he must be so self-centered that he probably figured people were staring at him because of his good looks, rather than the fact that he’s sporting a sweet milk mustache. That’s cute and sad. “I’ll be right back,” he says.
Napoleon Hill Think And Grow Rich Summary
You wanna know how to get rich? not just rich how to get success at what you want? I have an answer, Think And Grow Rich. Today in this think & grow rich summary I will try to give you all the answers you wanna know.
I will cover the think and grow rich outline.
Some of my favorites think and grow rich quotes.
Key points and think and grow rich takeaways.
In the end a roadmap to how to get rich from nothing.
Origin :
Napoleon Hill the author of Think And Grow Rich, once got a chance to interview “Andrew Carnegie ” the richest person of that time.
According to Andrew, every person is going to fail in their life in the process of doing everything they can to achieve success. But the law of success is universal, means equal and same for every individual.
Andrew said to Mr.Hill, I want you to write a book, a philosophy with the help of some of the world’s most successful peoples wisdom and knowledge. Which will talk about this universal law of success and help every individual to achieve success
So people instead of wasting their time, money, energy in finding this law can learn from us, from this book how to be successful.
After this Mr.Hill did almost 20 years of research on 500 most rich and successful people, took their interview, tried to find the common links and things between them which resulted in this amazing Think And Grow Rich Book.
In today’s Think And Grow Rich summary, I’ll share with you some of the key points
Think And Grow Rich Outline:
Mindset :
Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.
Napoleon Hill
You had the idea of doing something, to be successful and you all pumped up and you start working on it with full excitement, focus, and dedication.
But as soon as things start getting harder and tough, all that focus, excitement, dedication start fading it just disappears and you give up. Don’t worry it’s not just you, the majority of people give up and I’ll tell you why.
You work on something with the mindset of not failing. You are scared of failure. When you’ll change your mindset from failure conscious to success conscious, you’ll notice the change, and you’ll stop giving up.
Having a positive mindset is very important. Obstacles, hard times, ups and downs are always gonna be in your path of success. All you have to do is be stubborn, keep going one day you’ll make it.
To make money learn how to think rich, read self help books. Replace your poor and middle-class mindset with rich thinking.
Your mind is a supercomputer and you have to program it with positive thoughts and never give up attitude.
Burning Desire :
In order to fulfill your dreams the very first step is having a very strong desire, desire to achieve it. It should not be just a wish.
EX. : whenever you see a supercar or a top-notch house, your first thought is, ” I wish I had it, I wish It was ” instead of saying ” I am gonna have it, I am gonna work for it until its mine “.
Stronger the desire you’ll have, more the chances are you gonna achieve your goal. And don’t just desire, put your hard work, time, energy, blood, sweat everything in order to make your dream come true.
Faith :
Faith means believing in something or yourself with all your heart and mind. is like a state of mind. Just like mind, faith can be controlled or programmed with the help of autosuggestion.
Autosuggestion is nothing but affirmations and visualization. To achieve faith or belief you need to speak with yourself, with your mind on a daily basis. You have to sow positive seeds in your mind.
How you do that? With the help of affirmations and visualization. To know about this more read The Miracle Morning book Summary. Some of the affirmation statements I use are as follows.
I am a confident person.
I am capable of doing whatever I can think of.
I am going to be a wealthy and happy man in the upcoming 5 years.
I am going to keep learning and tech people whatever I have learned till the day I die.
I will make my mom proud.
You can make your own statements like above according to whatever you wanna achieve.
Specialized knowledge :
You might have heard that ” Knowledge is power “. It’s true but don’t just keep feeding your brain with useless facts, figures, numbers, and information.
There are two types of knowledge 1) General and 2) specialized
From childhood, you’re just filling up your brain with useless General knowledge which neither you ever gonna use in your life nor it gonna benefit you.
The old school education system has a major contribution to this. If you think having all knowledge makes you smart and others stupid then you are wrong.
Henry Ford once asked about his lack of general knowledge, on that he questioned,”why would I bother myself to learn all this useless stuff when I have hired people who can answer me everything I wanna know. I am not a very educated man but, no one can beat me in my niche of knowledge.”
That is why don’t try to be all-rounder, don’t try to be master in every field instead yourself in one field. Having specialized knowledge will make you an Expert. This will help you in real life mad will make you more amount of money. A specialized Doctor charges more than any clinic doctor who knows everything.
Imagination :
Imagination is where all ideas come from. You can make and achieve anything if you can imagine.
Now if this sounds unrealistic to you then do remember, we humans have achieved so much in the last few decades with the help of imagination, which was considered to be impossible.
There are two types of imagination 1) synthetic and 2) Creative
Synthetic imagination means nothing but taking someone else’s idea or imagination and modifying or upgrading it. It also means combining two different existing ideas and implementing then in a different way to achieve something new.
Creative imagination means coming up with something which is unique, which is never done, an original idea. These ideas might not make sense for ordinary people but if you really believe and work hard it can change the world.
Organized Planning :
Desire and hoping is not enough. You need a definite, precisely organized step by step plan which you can execute to achieve your goal.
Every adversity, every failure, every heartbreak, carries with it a seed of equal or greater benefit.
Napoleon Hill
This simply means no matter how well organized your plan is, you are going to taste the failure. This doesn’t mean you give up. You learn from it, stood up, improve your plan, and get back to work.
Decision :
Make firm and quick decisions and make sure you stick to them. Never procrastinate. If you are too concerned about what others will think about your decisions then my friend sadly you never gonna achieve what you want.
Cause with this mindset you’ll be not making decisions for you but for others. What others think is none of your business. You have a dream, goal and to achieve it sometimes you might even have to take tough decisions. But trust me, your dreams worth it.
Persistence :
Persistence plays a vital role in one’s success. One of the major reasons why people fail is a lac of persistence.
Nothing in this world can take a place of good old persistence. Talent won’t, nothings more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius won’t, unrecognized geniuses are practically a cliche. Education moved by world is full of educated fools. Persistence and determination alone all are powerful.
The Founder ( movie)
So how to develop a sheer persistence?
By having a clear, definite goal.
Developing a strong burning desire.
with a well organized definite plan.
By specializing in one field.
Good habits.
Power Of Mastermind :
You are the average of those 5 people with whom you spend most of the time. That’s why being surrounded by like-minded and positive people is very important.
You are a social creature and believe it or not, you get influenced by the people around you. So choose these people carefully.
The author calls them Mastermind Alliance with whom you share and improve your ideas and thoughts. These people believe in you and encourage you, this gives you an extra boost to keep going.
The Subconscious Mind :
You are the master of your destiny. You can influence, direct, and control your own environment. You can make your life what you want it to be.
Napoleon Hill
Your subconscious mind is the most powerful tool you have for free. But the thing is how you use it, how you program it. It will give you the output based on your input. Your subconscious mind works 24 7 even when you are sleeping. The problem is it can’t differentiate between good and bad.
That’s why programming your subconscious positively, your goal-oriented is very important. In programming your subconscious mind, autosuggestion plays a very important role. Autosuggestion combined with emotions results in better control over subconscious
By using 7 positive emotions ( desire, love, sex, faith, romance, enthusiasm and hope ) you can create positive mindset.
How to Get Rich :
Fix The Amount Of Money You Want:
Decide the exact amount of money you wanna earn. Just thinking that I wanna be wealthy, I wanna earn a lot of money is not enough. Being exact clears your mind and focuses on your goal.
Without the clear amount you wanna earn you are like a high tech ship without a captain and fixed destiny. You know what will happen to ship like that, either it will be swollen by the ocean or keep strangling in motion.
Soo have you decided how much money you wanna earn?
Determine Exactly What You Intend To Give In Return:
To earn the amount of money you want, what are the things you willing to sacrifice? Specify this exactly. It can be anything like your time, energy, extra hard work, or it can be adding values in others life providing services like that.
It’s like the newton’s third law, to achieve the desired amount of results/ money you have to pay an equal amount of efforts/price.
Specify The Deadline:
Establish a definite date when you intend to possess all the money you desire. Adding a specific date or deadline puts your mind on alert tells it that, you have limited time to ear this much money and need to keep working.
Create A Definite Plan :
Now make a plan for how you gonna achieve your goal. In order to earn the money, you desire what steps you have to take? Ad how you gonna do it? Find answers to all these questions.
Don’t think that, this plan is not perfect, I’ll make a perfect plan and then start working on it. Don’t waste time, there’s no such thing as a perfect plan. So better you just take an action and start working.
Write Down Everything :
Write all the exact and precise answers to all the above questions. For doing this use a separate diary, cause it will give you a direct start which will help you to move ahead to achieve your goal.
Read It Daily :
Everything you’ll write in your diary, take look at it at least twice a day and read at it loudly and repeat it again and again.
By doing this you’ll be programming your subconscious mind to earn the amount you want. Once your subconscious mind is programmed things will get easy for you. All this is very important to think and grow rich.
Conclusion:
Change your mindset from failure conscious to success conscious.
Having a strong burning desire is important.
Develop and control your faith with autosuggestions.
Acquire specialized knowledge of one field, be master of it.
You can make and achieve anything if you can imagine. Don’t limit your imagination.
Hoping something is not enough. You have to work on it and for that, you require a well-organized plan.
Make a firm and quick decisions. Don’t procrastinate.
Nothing in this world can take place of good old persistence.
You are the average of those 5 people with whom you spend most of the time
Autosuggestion combined with emotions results in better control over subconscious
