Y'all ever think about a Harringrove AU where Steve is just batshit insane to his core? Like full yandere type shit. He'd do anything for Billy, up to and including manslaughter. And the thing is no one would believe that big brown eyes, gangly clutz Steve Harrington would really hurt anyone. He's had his shit rocked by Jonathan Byers for Christ sake, not to mention the fight he and Billy got into that one November. But he would. He does, enough that the nail bat he keeps in the trunk of his Beamer is stained wine red. I don't have any coherent plotline for this, I just think Billy deserves a love so deep and all consuming and feral that he never doubts his worth again. Because to Steve? Billy is everything.

An argument over whether or not Dan Heng is Dan Feng seems to have begun getting sparked again in certain parts of the Fandom and it does nothing but hurt my head to no end

Both sides cherrypicking or treating it like a strange situation, making false equivalents. "Yknow governments don't consider people who've lost their memories to be separate people" that's a flawed argument to use in favorite of DH = DF because it's not just he lost his memories. He literally grew up, experienced his own childhood, had a whole identity cultivated based on those experiences and that life and continues to live his own life. To treat the situation like it's just him getting a bit of amnesia is wild to me

But also I hate when people continue to insist he's running from Dan Feng and his past and how he's miserable and shouldn't ever confront the past and deal with it as if his and Blade's whole stories aren't centered around rebirth and karma, paying for your past life's karma. He needed to confront the past to ensure a freer future! He literally has!! And he will continue to do so because he realizes this, DH isn't dumb and he's grown since we first saw him. He understands

This whole thing feels very Ship of Theseus. What makes the ship what it is, the physical aspects of its planks, its sailing history, or both?

For him, the question is what makes someone who they are? Is it the body that makes them up and any inherent genetic factors (like traits)? Is it their experiences, how they've grown up, and the identity they've developed in that time? Or is it both factors mixed together?

Personally in the case of Dan Heng, I think it's both! Yeah he has a lot of traits from Dan Feng. There's a lot inherently there. But we can't disregard his own experiences and the identity that has formed based on his history and what he's seen.

Again I can't stress this enough... It is a false equivalent to compare him to people who lose their memories or get amnesia, he didn't just lose those memories. He started life from the beginning, a whole different kind of life. And even then, the amnesia topic comes with its own debates. Isn't there a whole other thought experiment regarding someone put to trial who ends up with amnesia and what their verdict should be?

I guess in the end, it's all up to people's own philosophical beliefs after what constitutes a person. My personal belief that DH and DF will always be connect but the separation between them is also meaningful is something based on my own ideas of what consisitutes a person and their individual identity, similar situation with how I see Rukkhadevata and Nahida as connected but still not the same person exactly. At the end of the day again, it's personal beliefs

But what I can't stand and can't stand by, is someone acting all high and mighty like they're perfectly right and everyone else is wrong, especially when they're cherrypicking or not holding all their evidence to the same standard. According to some ppl, apparently it's better in the CN fandom where instead of treating it like "I'm right you're wrong" people have divided themselves into "DF and DH one person" and "DF and DH two people" groups and most importantly of all, they treat both like theories and just keep to their space and tag which they believe when it's relevant. Why can't we just do that? Why can't we follow in their footsteps instead of bringing up this argument every so often with the same tired flaws from both sides?

you know something i've realized on this one is that while *i* like these characters enough to watch this show, i don't think i can like. recommend ultraman as a franchise to people who want to see characters interacting cause this is a lot of a dude in tight rubber beating up kaiju

Okay so, when the guys activated their ninpo, it looked like this. Their signature colors, right?

And then they merged, combining their powers to look like this....

.... creating a very similar color to the Hamato ancestors

Now, as I'm taking the screenshots to back up my point here, I can see that it's not quite the same color (thank you, night mode /neg) but I think it's still an interesting observation

My thought was that by merging with/tapping into their ancestral powers and then merging with each other in that scene, they... uhhh.... *thought process peters out* I dunno, it was probably supposed to represent their connection to the ancestors, I guess

It's almost the same color as Splinter's ninpo

So following this train of thought (bear with me, I guess)... what does it mean that the turtles' ninpo is different colors, while the rest of them are green/teal? Are they Special™ somehow? Does it have something to do with their mutation? Let's discuss...

Weird thought train connecting 2003, 2012, and 2018:

In 2003 Season 5, when the turtles drew their weapons from the mystic fire, Mikey got lightning. His dragon form had it.

In 2012 Season 5 for one episode, Mikey turned into living electricity after technically dying by it.

In the Rise Movie, Mikey's command of fire forces had a lot of electric effects.

The Last Ronin died via stabbing and electricity.

In the 1990 film, Mikey's grief spilled over during a mystic fire meditation, which also strengthened his resolve.

This image of Gaster in a victorian/edwardian wheelchair popped into my head last week or something and it hasn't left me alone since. When I started drawing it, I decided I wanted to see him using other mobility aids but I only got around to drawing the arm crutches lol. Maybe I'll do more in the future. I like this idea.

I know other adults like to joke about how much pain they're in, but genuinely, please try to get your pain checked out if you're an adult experiencing it, or at least adapt your life in whatever way lessens your pain.

Your pain deserves to be addressed. Please don't "let" it get worse because you've been told that to grow older is to suffer. No, you aren't being needy or selfish or annoying. Ultimately, you are the one who suffers the most from the state of your health, and it's entirely reasonable to want your health to be up to your standards.

Soo.. I finally got around to reading/watching L.O.V.E.

I really liked this frame in one of the animatics so I decided to try to redraw it. I thought about keeping the color palette but considering the.. I dunno, atmosphere? In the original animatic? I felt like the darker, dramatic lighting might go better. Though unfortunately it makes it difficult to tell the difference between some pieces. Anyway, @tapakah0 thanks for putting so much time and effort into the comics/animatics! I really liked the way certain parts of the timeline were presented that usually get ignored. (I mean, for fair reason, I imagine it's difficult to figure out how things could go from the turtles being fine to having an entire army to resist against the Krang..)
