hi! I recently followed u and i saw that you draw. I really liked your baby Yoda drawing that says why we going so damn fast 🤣🤣
And i just wanted to ask: do u have any tips on learning how to draw?
I'm kinda learning to do it by myself (as in i look up YouTube tutorials) (i don't take classes) and i would like to know how did u find your own art style? Idk how to do that.
I've done some art in the past but not faces. I mean i did a baby Yoda one but i just like took inspiration from a baby Yoda shirt i have lol. But it's more cartoon-ish than realistic. I think that's the closest i have to an art style.
I'm still learning to draw faces (realistically) but i guess i just wanted to know what an artist can tell to a baby artist like me.
i hope u have a nice day ⭐⭐⭐
omg anon, hi!! I am still learning how to draw things myself!
I only have a trackpad on my laptop to draw with so most of my work is at least partially traced from another image (basic outline mainly, but I also take colour swatches and keep the image on a separate/hidden layer for easy reference). I've put a screenshot of an Obi Wan WIP under the cut to show what I mean.
For that Grogu art, I found a picture of Grogu in the wind and used that as a basic reference (for size/shape) and picked colours from it!
I don't think I have much of an art style, I tend to just start something and hope for the best! It's a lot of experimentation, and the airbrush/eraser tools on the program I use are my best friends (I use Sketchbook for Mac because it was free and seemed simple to use!) And it took me several goes to work out which brushes I like to use most.
As a fellow baby artist, I am in awe of other people on tumblr who might be able to help you out a little more than me (and maybe help me too)! @honestly-shite @uncle-kenobi and @yours-truly-r are all lovely people with different art styles (though there are plenty more around these parts!)

survey by deirdrelove
What is today’s date? October 26th.
Do you have any plans for tomorrow? Just work. All weekdays are for work.
Do you wear perfume or cologne? Usually, perfume. I have colognes too, but I like the scent of my main perfume far more so that’s what I choose to wear most of the time.
What kind of computer are you using? I have a Macbook Air.
What colour is your mouse? I haven’t used one in years. A trackpad has been reliable enough.
Is it sunny outside? It’s not. I’m not updated on the news but I think we’re supposed to have a really powerful typhoon pass by for the next few days, so the wind has been violent and howling all morning. Some of my co-workers have had power outages at home only used their mobile data today so yeah, it’s not looking too good. I’ve closed my windows for the meantime so that they don’t smash just in case the wind blows too hard.
What has the weather been like lately? It’s been very cold all weekend because of the rain, but it also gets humid every now and then. Still, it’s cold enough for me to turn off my fan all day which is good enough.
When was the last time you cried? Last night, I think.
When was the last time you sincerely smiled? I don’t remember. Maybe last night or yesterday afternoon.
When was the last time you laughed freely? I can’t tell you. I really can’t remember when the last time was. I’ve chuckled here and there, of course; it just hasn’t been hearty for a while now.
Do you eat breakfast regularly? No. I only have a cup of coffee so that I can get properly awake for workkk.
Do you take vitamins? Not regularly.
When was the last time you took aspirin or some other pain reliever? Saturday. I had a headache and was feeling a little dizzy so I had to take a Biogesic.
When did you learn to tie your shoes? Kinder 2, when I was five. One of our ‘exams’ was for the teachers to check if we can already tie our shoes, so my grandma had to teach me. I’m super awful with my hands though, and to this day I still struggle with tying my shoelaces and I still take longer than anyone I know.
What was your favourite grade in elementary school? 5th was fun until things fell apart by the end of it; 7th was great throughout.
Do you like clouds? I like when it’s cloudy, but I don’t lie on the ground and look at clouds.
What colour are your shoelaces? I have several shoes, but I think all of their shoelaces are white.
How many states have you been to? 0.
How many different countries have you been to? 6.
When was the last time you deeply regretted something? September.
Do you go to other people for advice or do you deal with things on your own? I like hearing what my friends have to think because whenever I’ve done things on my own I always fuck it up one way or another, and that sensation gets tiring at some point. Having other perspectives and voices helps as well.
How long was your longest relationship? 4 years.
What is your favourite brand of gum? I don’t have one considering they all lose their taste after a few chews. Whenever someone has gum and shares a piece with me, I just take it regardless of the brand.
What is something that you regularly wear that makes you stand out? I don’t know if I have anything like that. I hate standing out, anyway.
Do you own a debit card? Yuh.
A credit card? Nope.
Are you in debt? I am not.
When is your birthday? *sigh* Again, April 21st...
How old will you be? I’ll be 23.
What kind of cake is your favourite? Cheesecake! Flourless chocolate cakes and red velvet cakes are also great.
Do you prefer small birthday parties or big ones? For parties held by relatives I like them to be big, because it’s always nice to reunite with distant family members that I never get to see. With friends, small and intimate parties do the trick for me.
What song are you listening to now? No music, and I have a YouTube video paused.
Do you download illegal mp3's? I used to convert YouTube videos of audio tracks into MP3, if that counts. I never directly downloaded MP3s though; I always heard horror stories of those things containing viruses or the downloaded file not even storing the actual song.
What was the most traumatic experience of your life? [trigger warning] Being the main witness to my drunk grandfather beating the ever-living shit out of my infant cousin in his stupor when I was 9, and bearing the responsibility to tell that cousin’s mom, who was cooking dinner. I’m pretty sure I aged like 15 years from that moment alone.
Have you ever lost a friend to drugs or alcohol? No.
Who was your childhood best friend? Angela.
Are you still friends now? Yeah, for sure. I just asked her for dyeing tips an hour ago.
If not, why?
Are you sitting at a desk right now? Yes.
Are you eating or drinking? Nope, but I’ll be having dinner in about an hour or so.
How many surveys have you taken today? This is the first one.
Have you ever made a survey? No. I’m not the best in coming up with interesting random questions, so I’ve never given it a shot. Others are way better at it.
If you haven't you should. Its fun. =] I’m sure it is, but I really don’t think I’m creative enough for it.
Did you ever have any sort of collection? Nah.
Do you believe in Karma? I don’t subscribe to the entire concept as it’s defined in Hinduism, but yeah sometimes I’ll refer to its more informal description whenever someone does something that upsets me.
What do you thinks happens to us when we die? Permanent sleep.
What age do you think you'll die? My late relatives all passed between the ages of 70 to early 80s, so maybe by then. But idk, I hope I get my great-grandma’s longevity (she died at 95) because I’m still competitive when it comes to age and I wanna make it to that high a number, ha.
If you knew you had one more month to live what would you do? Well first I’d give out a sigh of relief because thank fuck. After that I’d probably spend the whole month eating all my favorite foods and traveling, at least to the cities that are now accepting visitors. I’d write down instructions for Kimi so that he’s properly cared for, give away my stuff, try to see some friends before it all ends.
About how long was the last book you read? It’s around 600 pages but I’m barely 50 pages in.
Have you read any books by V.C.Andrews? I don’t think so.
Have you ever read a play before? Yes.
A play not written by Shakespeare? Yes.
Have you ever read a play outside of school? Yeah, I have.
What is one career you don't think you could do no matter how much it paid? Engineer.
Would you want to live in the country or the city? City, without a doubt. I like the countryside and it’s certainly relaxing, but I need things to be constantly going on; I like my environment to be hectic, be loud, be busy. Too much quiet isn’t good for me.
Do you prefer large cities or small ones? Large.
Do you/Did you ride the school bus? Yep.
If not how did you get to school?
Do you have iTunes on your computer? Yeah but only because I’m on a Mac and I’m not sure if I can remove the app from my laptop. I haven’t used iTunes since high school though, and if I could I’d get rid of it.
Have you ever edited Wikipedia? Yeah, when I was like 10 lol. It wasn’t to mess around with an entry though; I saw an inaccuracy and genuinely wanted to help out.
Have you ever edited any other wiki? I’m sure I edited more than one page.
Is there a website [besides social networking] that you check almost daily? I don’t think so.
Are you procrastinating? Nope, all my homework for the day’s been done.
Do/Did you make good grades in school? In college, yes. I paid less attention in high school and my grades occasionally showed it.
What is your relationship with your parents like? It’s very casual and not very deep at all. I don’t confide in them, and the thought actually makes me squirm. I’m still skeptical of my mom and I don’t let myself get invested in her after the hurt she’s put me through in the last few years, but at least we don’t yell at each other as much anymore.
Do you have a better relationship with one parent than the other? You can say that. I get along better with my dad.
Do you look like your mom or your dad? Mom. But for some friends, my dad.
Do you write things on your hand to remind yourself? This is what I did in high school, but I haven’t done it since.
Do you use your phone as an alarm? If I need an alarm, yes.
Do you listen to music while you sleep? Nope, but similar. I turn on videos because talking sounds make me sleepy much faster.
Do you get scared when you know some virus or sickness is being passed? I mean if it’s like a plague then yeah, obviously. But to connect this question to today’s situation - after getting used to Covid stats and seeing the ratio of those who die from it vs those who end up healing from it, I’ve highkey stopped being afraid of it lol
Are you realistic? Yes.
Do you sing in the shower? Nope.

Huawei Matebook 14 2020 Review - AMD Ryzen 7 Beast!
Huawei Matebook 14 2020 - official link
The Huawei Matebook 14 2020 model is a compact powerhouse pc with some awesome features. Just to be clear when I say powerhouse what I mean is you can use this laptop for Photo & heavy Video editing & for some serious gaming. With that said before we get onto what I consider the most exciting features of the Matebook 14... let's take a closer look at the design.
Tumblr media
Let's start with the chassis which is made from an Aluminium alloy. The top and bottom covers are also metal and the sides are some form of reinforced plastic. All of which are finished in Huawei space grey color. At its thickest point it 15.9.mm thin. I am big a fan of the CNC milled chamfered edges around the trackpad and power button. It certainly adds a bit of prestige to the Matebook 14.
The power button is a 2 in 1 as it is also a biometric fingerprint reader. The trackpad also has double functionality, as just beneath its surface is a Huawei Share tag. With Huawei Share being an exclusive feature for HMS devices. More on that later. The Matebook 14 has a chicklet keyboard with backlighting. They have a good amount of travel & a nice tactile feel and sound.
Now check this out, the pop-up camera. I love this feature. I am one of those people who cover the cameras on my computers... And that's why I love this... the camera is 720p HD quality. This camera is specifically for video chat.... and Huawei has built 4 microphones into Matebook 14 to make sure you get the best possible audio when on those live calls. On the topic of Audio, there are dual 2-watt speakers built into the base of the laptop for audio playback. For movies, I'd suggest pairing the Matebook 14 up with some Huawei Freebuds Pro.
Now let's address what's staring us right in the face. The 3 by 2 2K Full view IPS display. Thanks to the camera module being hidden in the Keyboard. Huawei has been able to keep the bezels minimal. The 3:2 screen format is nice. Especially when it comes to editing photos and videos, it's always a luxury to have more screen real estate. The resolution of the display is 2160x1440 and 185ppi which makes everything displayed on it nice & detailed
& The fact that it can reproduce 100% is the sRGB colour space is big deal too. Again this comes in handy with graphic design and editing. The display also has a very respectable 15000:1 contrast ratio and 300nitts of peak brightness. So viewing the Matebook 14’s screen in bright conditions shouldn't be a problem for most people. So that's pretty much all the external hardware. Now let's take a look at all the inputs and then we'll get into the internal hardware details.
Tumblr media
So we have two USB 3.2 ports and a single USB C port which is a hybrid input/charging port. The notebook also has a analog headphone jack which can also be used as an external mic input. So when it comes to ram and rom. There are a few configurations of the Matebook out there...but this one I have here has 256GB SSD storage & 16GB DDR4 ram.
There are versions of the Huawei Matebook 14 with the AMD Ryzen 5...but this one has the flagship AMD Ryzen 7. Which is the equivalent of an Intel i7. Although AMD says it's better than the comparable i7 when it comes to graphics performance and also multithread performance. So like I said before this is a powerhouse.. and it is a beast when it comes to gaming and demanding software.
So the graphical firepower is certainly up to scratch but all of this is pointless without a solid battery performance. And Huawei does not disappoint here. I sides the Matebooks Aluminium alloy frame is a 56Wh lithium-polymer battery. Which can deliver up to 10hrs of continuous video playback.  Now, here's what I consider to be the most awesome features on the Huawei Matebook 14.
Tumblr media
So when you have a Laptop that can handle heavy-duty tasks, you need a heavy-duty cooling system. Of course, this is tricky to do in a compact form factor. But Huawei has done something special here with its dual shark fin heat dissipation system. So thanks to Huawei's expertise in mobile tech the motherboard has been manufactured using a 7nm process... which helps when it comes to thermal efficiency.. but they have also added 6 sensors inside the laptop to monitor temperature and adjust the cooling system dynamically & those dual fans have unique s-shaped blades that help achieve 38% better airflow than a traditional laptop fan. Also, Huawei has managed to make these fans incredibly silent...so in my opinion dual shark fin fans...awesome feature.
Now, this is big deal and a truly awesome Huawei ecosystem feature. If you own a Huawei smartphone you make use of Huawei share. You can simply drop your phone onto the trackpad and it will automatically connect to the Matebook. From there you can control your phone on your desktop. You can drag and drop files, you can share your clipboard. Essentially making the collaboration between phone and laptop way more seamless. One useful feature is when using the matebook if your phone is connected you can use the quick menu to toggle on the mobile hotspot on your phone.

Tagging Game
Tagging Game
I was tagged by @dragynfox ! Lol this surprised me, didn’t think anyone really noticed my presence on Tumblr yet, cause this blog is so new. Thank you!
Were you named after anyone?
Well, my first name is a mix of my two grandmothers names. Catherine and Marilyn = Caitlyn
When was the last time you cried?
Like two days ago. I was reading fanfic and just could not hold back the tears when I got to the death of my favorite character. It was so extremely well written.
Do you like your handwriting?
I love it, but I find I get impatient. I can toy around with ideas so much quicker on Word then I can in a notebook.
What’s your favorite lunch meat?
Um... turkey breast? IDK if I have a fav, but turkey and chicken tend to be what I buy the most.
Do you have kids?
Nope.
If you were a different person, would you be friends with you?
I don’t know. I am very much aware of how people see me, and in many ways its intentional, but also doesn’t match up with a lot of my beliefs, morals, and actions. If I was a different person then it would depend on who I am as that version, because that version may want to be friends with me, but may not. Its really confusing to think about.
Do you use sarcasm?
Oh yeah. I use a whole lot of it.
Do you still have your tonsils?
Yes.
Would you bungee jump?
Nope.
What’s your favorite cereal?
I think its a tie between Shreddies and Special K.
Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?
Not always. Its a pain in the ass, but if their nice shoes then I make sure to untie before taking them off.
Do you think you are a strong person?
Oh for sure! I was raised to be strong and independent. If this is a physical question then hell no! I have no upper body strength.
What’s your favorite ice cream?
Raspberry sorbet.
What’s the first thing you notice about people?
How they present themselves, such as attire, and cleanliness. I think a lot can be said about a person based on what they have decided is an acceptable way for them to present themselves to people.
What’s your least favorite physical thing about yourself?
It used to be my chest (too fucking big), but surgery fixed that! I have to say my weight, but I'm working on that. I really hate my arms, so hopefully working on my weight fixes that.
What color pants and shoes are you wearing right now?
Its a lazy day. I'm wearing faded blue ripped jeans. I'm wearing really nice heeled green boots..... I know it so doesn’t go together, but I just got them today and was too excited not to put them on! If I have to leave the house I'll put on proper jeans.
What are you listening to right now?
Lockup on Netflix! lol does tv count? How about, the audiobook Fit to be Tied by Mary Calmes? I absolutely LOVE audiobooks.
If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
A warm/rusty red. I have always been told that those types of colours look really good on me.
Favorite smell?
Fresh homemade white bread straight from the breadmaker or oven.
Who was the last person you talked on the phone with?
It was my dad. I called him way too many times today.
Favorite sport to watch?
I don’t watch sports, but if the Olympics are on then I like to watch a few of the events.
Hair color?

It's a purple-ish red-ish brown. I don’t think the dye is staying in properly, so I'm going to dye it again the same colour, but different product so that it stays dark and vibrant.
Eye color?
It’s usually multi-green, but it changes colours, so I’ve had faded blue and gray as well.
Do you wear contacts?
Nope. I got glasses! I like them.
Favorite food?
Um... slow cooked ham, lasagna (moms recipe), lazy cabbage rolls, chicken poutine or tourtieres. I really can’t choose. I like them all equally.
Scary movie or comedy?
Um... Got to be more specific. I don’t like slashers, but I will binge creature features all day and all night!!
Last movie you watched?
It would be La Belle et La Bete, which is the French remake of Beauty and the Beast that came out in 2014. It's really good! I got my friends to watch it last night.
What color shirt are you wearing?
It’s blue and black.
Summer or winter?
Gah! I don’t like those options. I guess I gotta go with winter because I'm Canadian and lucky enough to have it. It’s possible to experience summer almost everywhere, so I don’t think I'll ever miss it, but I would miss winter.
Hugs or kisses?
Hugs! I love to cuddle. I wish I had someone to cuddle with.
Book you’re currently reading?
If audiobooks don’t count as “reading” then it would be Ebb and Flow by Andrew Grey.
Who do you miss right now?
I miss the ease of high school and not having anything to worry about or stress over. It would be nice to big a kid again.
What’s on your mouse pad?
I have one, but I don’t really use it because I stick to the trackpad on my laptop. I think it has an Assassin’ s Creed character on it and it was made by an artist called Brilcrist.
What’s the last TV program you watched?
I'm currently watching Lockup.
What’s the best sound?
Rain. I fucking love rainy days and the sound of rain.
Rolling Stones or The Beatles?
I don’t really have an attachment or interest in either of them.
What’s the furthest you ever traveled?
To the south, Florida. To the West, British Columbia (technically).
Do you have a special talent?
I’m not sure at the moment. I would have to think about it.
Where were you born?
Ontario, Canada.
Tagging: I have no clue who has done this or wants to, so I am just going to tag my real life friend @just-call-me-your-prince .

Have you ever disliked someone just because a friend disliked them? Yessssss. That’s my job as a best friend hahahaha half kidding. No but seriously though, I have. I mean I’d still be objective and tell my friend if their enemy is making sense in some aspects, but at the end of the day I’ll give them the extra support by disliking that person anyway. Which would you rather own: A camera or a video camera. Why? Video camera, because I’ve always wanted to start vlogging and my phone’s camera is already quite decent, so I’m not really needing a camera right now. Have you ever won a lot of money in a slot machine? How much? Nah, I’ve never even played in a casino. I’ve been in one but I was only 18 then, so I couldn’t really do anything except to walk through the casino and stare at all the machines and booths that I couldn’t play at haha. Do you watch sports on TV even though you aren't a sporty person yourself? I will sometimes watch a tennis or MMA match if I catch them on, but that’s about it. I wouldn’t know who to root for either, or know who’s the better player; I just watch for the action. Do you eat / drink at your computer? Yes but I try to avoid it more these days because I hate greasing up my trackpad or leaving bits of food on my keyboard. If I really have to eat at my laptop I’ll put on a show or a video to watch so that I don’t have to actually be using my laptop.
How much do you overeat at special occasions? (Birthdays, Christmas, etc) I don’t think I have the capacity to overeat haha. My room for food is small so when I get full I simply stop eating, or I no longer get up to get a second serving. Generally I try to get a piece of every meal though, no matter how little; I always want to have a taste of everything so that I don’t miss out. The music you listen to: Is it mostly sung by female or male vocalists? I think it’s an equal amount but when it comes to frequency I think I’ve been listening to female vocalists more often – Beyoncé, Paramore, The Japanese House, Banks, etc. My playlists generally have both female and male artists though cause I also listen to Hozier, alt-J, Coldplay, Rhye, Joji, and other male dudes. Do you think it's important to enjoy your job or do you just work for money? As much as possible people should always aim to end up somewhere where they love what they do for a living, but given that I’m quite materialistic but mostly grew up in a household with a mom who was very frugal and often reiterated the joys of a simple life (aka a life I hated lmao), I think I’d have no problem having a job that pays handsomely but wasn’t necessarily viewed as fun. I wanna be able to spoil and reward myself after all the work I do. Do you require glasses / contacts to see properly? If so, which do you use? Yeah, I have glasses. Tell me an embarrassing thing that happened to you recently: I shared a serious-toned Facebook post earlier tonight and Gabie’s dad gave it a like. I’ve mostly forgotten he was my Facebook friend and so I started feeling embarrassed because normally I would shitpost and share stupid memes and if he liked my post, it must mean he sees everything I share jkfhjkfhjkf. When you hear your voice back on a recording, do you think it sounds awful? No. I don’t usually cringe when I hear it; I think it sounds okay. When was the last time you got the hiccups? Aaaaaaaaages ago. I can’t even tell you when. If you had to, which record would you go into Guinness World Records for? I saw a video on Facebook of this woman getting into Guinness for finishing the most jars of mayonnaise in a certain amount of time (I wanna say 5 minutes?) and I was so thrilled to see such a record cause I can honestly see myself breaking it HAHAHAHAHA mayonnaise is <3 The last sweet thing you ate: What was it? A chocolate chip cookie, except we don’t have chocolate chips so my dad had to improvise and chopped up Flat Tops instead. If you had to change your name, what would you change it to? I’d toy with my second name and probably go with Belle or Bella. Do you have a middle name? Do you find it embarrassing? Yeah I think all Filipinos come with a legal second name. I don’t find mine embarrassing it all; it’s a source of great pride since I have a lot of relatives etched in Philippine history with that name. I don’t ever want to lose it and I’ll probably continue to keep it even after I’m married. What would you choose to be famous for? It’d be nice to be known for a blog. If I had the time, resources, and tbh the connections it would be amazing to write about anything under the sun for an audience. What is your current occupation? Do you enjoy it? I don’t have any at the moment, but I’m about to start looking for one. Do / Did you enjoy school? Why (not)? There are some parts I enjoy/ed (the friends I made for high school, the overwhelming independence I gained in college) and some parts I hate/d (some classes I was forced to take in high school, my inability to adjust during my first year of college). I don’t regret either periods though, and I can never say I completely hated them. If you have a webcam, are you ever paranoid people can see you? Yes hahaha. I never got around to buying a webcam protector either. Do you find it difficult to sleep at night? Any reason(s) why? Only when there’s something unresolved, like a deadline that’s bugging me or if Gab and I have been arguing. Otherwise I’m knocked out in like 10 minutes. If you had to go on a game show, which would you choose? Family Feud or Jeopardy. What about if you had to go on a reality show? Which would you choose then? QUEER EYE. Talk about wholesome. Tell me about your favourite TV show: Blue meth, New Mexico, lots of chemistry, objectively one of the greatest pieces of television ever. Have you ever wished you were born the opposite gender? Why? I probably wished this a few times when I was a pre-teen and liking girly things was still seen as lame. How the hell did we not question mindsets like that before, damn. If you had dental braces, which colour would you make them? I did have braces and I always picked a different color for every trip to the dentist, so it’s very possible I had tried out the entire rainbow. Does any part of your body hurt right now? Where and why? My back hurts rn, understandably, because my posture is shitty. Why were you last irritated? Slow internet. What time did you get up this morning? I think that was already 11 in the morning. The last city you were in: Where was it and do you like it there? Other than my own it was in Pasig. It’s okay but I definitely prefer other cities. It’s a little too crowded and congested for me and also too expensive to stay at, eugh. If I had the choice I’d rather hang in Makati or QC. Do you like the countryside? They’re nice spots for a short vacation, but I wouldn’t want to live there. I’ve grown used to the hustle and bustle of cities. If you see someone yawn, do you often yawn as well? Sure. Recommend me a good movie: Good Will Hunting, Requiem for a Dream (but sad), Roman Holiday, Gone with the Wind, 2001: A Space Odyssey. Do you think you'd make a good model? Would you ever want to be one? I don’t work out or do anything to maintain a certain figure so I don’t have the the ideal body for modeling; if anything the only factor I have going for me is the fact that I’m quite skinny. I did want to be a model when I was a teenager though; that was around the time VS Angels were extremely popular, so I’m not surprised I used to want to be like them. How often do you change your hairstyle? What does it look like now? I only change it up once a year. Right now I have a bit of a bob with bangs. Truth or Dare? Truth. I never have a problem saying the truth lmao. Do you have a favourite day of the week? Which is it? This semester it was Tuesday, because it had my lightest schedule. Nowadays every week is just a blur to me and I stopped having a favorite day.

Daring to be different, ASUS launched its first proper dual-screen concept laptops, the ZenBook Duo and ZenBook Pro Duo in 2019. A year later, the 2nd generation devices to take advantage of the 10th generation Intel Core processors were launched. Here, we look at what’s hot and what’s not about the laptops.
ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo Lid
Make no mistake, the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo is a pro-level device with a huge 15.6-inch 4K UHD OLED main display, Intel’s 10th generation Core i7 and Core i9 chips, up to 32GB of RAM memory and above all RTX2060 GPU with 6GB of dedicated graphics memory. If nothing else, the price tag clearly reflect this.
Portable Monitors for Laptops on Colour My Learning
Even before the ZenBook Pro Duo, we have seen enthusiasts and mobile workers adding third party USB powered external displays to their laptops. Some even mounts to the back of the laptops lid and slides out when needed. It’s for the creatives and power users like these that the ZenBook Pro Duo are built for.
Secondary Display Or Touch Pad
The secondary display or ScreenPad Plus as ASUS calls it sits above the keyboard. It is not only an additional display, but a big touchscreen at that. ASUS may have used a small display as a touchpad in earlier generation laptops but this is pushing the idea of a touchpad with a screen to its limits. In fact, one can say that it is no longer a touchpad as a separate physical touchpad that doubles as a num pad is included next to an offset keyboard.

You may recall Apple’s Touch Bar, which changes according to app in focus. The integration here is not as sleek but you can still pull up common keyboard shortcuts used by the different apps and show them as quick buttons. For multi-tasking, dock up to three different apps in the second display for quick access and view. ASUS also presented a couple of Corel apps to show how these too can take advantage of the screen real estate.
Performance: Two + One Models
There are three different models on offer with two carrying the ZenBook Pro Duo name while the third drops the Pro label and is simply known as ZenBook Duo.
Top of the range is the Intel Core i9 model with 32GB of RAM memory and 1TB of SSD storage. This model costs £2999. However, you need to be a serious power user to truly make the most of this machine. Next, is the cheaper Intel Core i7 model. This iteration comes with half the memory at 16GB RAM and half the storage at 512GB. Even at this specification, I would still consider it an overkill. What is important is, you get to keep the difference, some £500 as the Core i7 version costs £2499. Both models come with the same Radeon RTX2060 GPU and The 15.6-inch 4K OLED UHD touchscreen making them powerful enough for mobile gaming.
The third model, the ZenBook Duo makes do with Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM memory and 512GB storage. It also has a less impressive 14-inch Full HD display powered by GeForce MX250 GPU with 2GB of dedicated graphics memory.
ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15.6-inch Laptop
Multi-Touch Multi-Display Laptops
While the main 15.6-inch display is an 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) OLED panel, making it brighter, sharper and better contrast with 100% colour gamut in both sRGB and Adobe RGB, the smaller display is a standard LCD with IPS technology. That smaller display above the keyboard is a 14-inch touchscreen with a matching pixel width wise at 3840 x 1100 pixels.
ASUS still calls this a 4K display even though it only has around half the number of pixels. In all fairness, it does have the same pixel density and while the second screen is smaller, there is no discord in moving from top to bottom display and vice versa like you do when moving between monitors with different resolutions.
Performance wise, the lower display is not as bright as the main display and you really have to use the stand or tilt the laptop to get the best viewing angle for this display. It also has a lightly matte finish. As they are placed side-by-side, it is not easy to immediately notice the difference. You can certainly tell that the second display is dimmer and has a lower contrast.
That said, you are meant to use the main display primarily for work, while the secondary display is more for controls or quick multi-tasking not for actual work. A big bonus is that both displays are touch enabled, although you cannot swipe and expect to drag windows with your finger from one to the other due to the break between the two screens. Use the app window shortcut to send apps between the screens with a tap.
On all models, the stand, stylus and palm rest are included as standard. The screen is stylus ready to take notes, sketch and edit on the ScreenPad Plus. The store flat foldable stand adds further height to the base of the laptop over the height afforded by the ErgoLift hinge.

Apps To Take Advantage of The Displays
There is a handful of app that lets you make the most of this display beyond just being a second screen. There is App Switcher, to easily move windows between the two displays. ScreenPad Plus launcher is a custom start menu that lets you pin your own favourite apps on the secondary screen for quick access. It is also here where you can create groups of apps to open with a single click depending on what you are working on. These can open on the main or straight to the second display.
Then there is the ViewMax function, switching the secondary display into ‘extended’ mode, allowing your app window to flow over both screens top to bottom for a less scrolling and a seamless tall view. Next, the organiser function divides the second display into two or three columns for various apps.
Other features include swapping screens with Task Swap, custom quick start for up to 5 apps on both screens with Task Group, scroll through used apps via App Navigator and switch between them, and finally the Quick Key app that lets you access standard shortcut keys with a single tap. Much like the Touch Bar, the latter when activated adapts based on the active software window. Other features include handwriting recognition, access to settings and quick guide.

What’s Hot and What’s Not
Finally, we are getting to pros and cons of the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo. Here, we discover what is hot and what is not with feedback and reviews from actual users and our own experience.

What’s Hot
Here is a selection of feedback on what is hot about the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo and ASUS ZenBook Duo.
Anyone working on desktops with multiple display will feel absolutely at home. Once you get the hang of it, you are going to miss it you go back to a conventional laptop
The cleanest and sleekest way to have a multiple monitor experience on a laptop without adding external displays.
This is a seriously powerful machine, pro-level specification and hardware.
Those ultra small bezel are so small, you hardly notice it. Wrapped in all aluminium precision chassis in Celestial Blue colour and asymmetric Zen inspired spun metal finish on the lid
Keyboard offers tactile and responsive typing experience with full size keys and good travel distance of 1.4mm.
Touchpad turns into a numerical keypad by tapping the button at the corner. This turns on the LED back light to show the numbers.
Screen is beautiful and the second screen is a really nice idea in such a small form factor both 14-inch and 15.6-inch. ASUS’s execution of NanoEdge means bezels are kept tight and all surfaces on the base of the laptop are used efficiently.
Keyboard is nice to work on once you get used to the trackpad being off to the side, rather than on the palm rest.
The processor handle most things really well. As a videographer I find the performance fast and responsive even when working with large files and the fans are almost silent.
This laptop is made for the creative. We are still finding new ways to use the dual screens and now we can’t imagine not using them.
The screens are bright and the colours vibrant.
Love the duo screen, so helpful with multitasking, and all the functionality to personalise it to how you want it, having gone back to Windows from Apple I’m really happy. All round, much better laptop.
Look and feel is top-notch and the performance is taken to the current extreme.
ASUS really has a handle on the bloatware. Most of the included software is useful and compliments the hardware nicely, especially for the multi-screen use.
Premium product, impressive picture quality and performance, second screen is fabulous and very easy to get used to. It’s a joy to work with.
Keyboard feels great and the laptop is good looking.
What’s Not
Here is a hand-picked selection of what’s not so hot about the laptop based on reviews left for the device.
Your average user is not likely to make the most of the dual display
Also, all that power, the processor, bucket loads of memory, 4K displays and powerful GPU are simply an overkill again, for the average user.
They full-size keyboard is off center and the touchpad felt a bit small.
Battery life isn’t amazing, I’d say around 2 hours off the mains but I haven’t done much within to make it more battery efficient
The camera isn’t brilliant either but that’s only really required for video calling. I also purchased a separate mouse as I didn’t find the track pad responsive enough, but it’s all down to personal choice.
Not enough connections, no SD CARD READER, battery life almost none, you could hardly get 2.5 hours just surfing on internet, if you do more demanding tasks then you get 1 hour maximum.
Others report up to 5 hours use, the battery life under standard usage (video streaming + web + office files) has been in the 4-5 hour range with intermediate to high screen brightness.
Second screen is not bright enough. Terribly heavy.
Poor sound quality, poor battery life, relatively heavy. Body is a fingerprint magnet.
The trackpad/numpad integration looks cool but needs some work. If you intend to make extensive use of the numpad this might not be the best choice as there is no tactile response.
Main screen is a bit too reflective.
Camera isn’t great.

ASUS Chromebook Flip C434TA Review
The Asus Chromebook Flip C434 is usually a sequel that surpasses the original in virtually every single capacity.Changing your cash maker in any considerable way is like playing with fire. The flame could puff out, change right into a warming blaze,or spiral uncontrolled and turn into a harmful inferno.Asus took just such an opportunity updating its beloved C302CA convertible, and people accu asus a32li9h would be the types who should really experience all warm and tingly with regard to the success.Below is Asus Chromebook Flip C434 overview.
Design
The Asus Chromebook Flip C434 has two principal positions. It needs to convince more and more people Chromebooks aren't low cost tat for people who spend for his or her weekly store with coppers simply to experience the excitement of scrimping. And it must be cheaper when compared to the almost disastrously high-priced Google PixelBook. The Chromebook Flip C434 has an all-aluminium shell that appears and feels sharp, and isn't going to flex too significantly. There isn't any bendy lid or a keyboard that bows underneath finger pressure here.If it had been slightly slimmer and lighter it would hold the design chops to match up with Home windows laptops very well.Even as it is the Asus Chromebook Flip C434 retains its possess just fantastic. The 'Flip' element of the name tells you this is a hybrid. Its hinge may be flexed completely, hence the underside finally ends up beside the lid.Individuals hinged details are chunkier than common for a reason.Google Assistant oplader lenovo an2005we is steadily coming to Chromebooks, and whilst it really is not in our Asus Chromebook Flip C434 still,it'll supply another excuse to employ it hybrid-style,with the keyboard propping up the display like a huge picture frame.Google's Chrome OS software would not by natural means invite tablet-like use,as its dwelling screen is nearly bare.Connections are quite generous, too, with over some high-end Home windows laptops offer you. There are two USB-C Gen 1 ports,a single older-style USB-A port in addition to a microSD slot. There is not any committed video clip output, however , you can often hook it approximately a keep an eye on or Television set applying a USB-C adapter cable. There is extra to making a laptop oplader microsoft surface professional 5 appear high-end than steel panels.Currently the screen ought to seem appropriate way too,as well as Asus Chromebook Flip C434's definitely does. It's an edge-to-edge glass surface,so no lifted borders, and the surrounds are thin in all directions. This notebook might not have all that a lot layout temperament, but it really will not glimpse low-cost.The monitor by itself is nice also.It measures fourteen inches throughout, color is punchy and distinction strong. In the cost Asus could theoretically almost have got away with using a show panel with somewhat confined colour saturation, but there isn't any noticeable not enough that here.Brightness could potentially be a little bit much better, but it really still compares fairly very well to other sub Windows laptops.Dimension is really just one of the most important variables. We would be delighted to work all day, daily on a monitor similar to this. You can find plenty of house to arrange apps accu acer aspire v7-582p and workflow, and even though the complete High definition resolution won't leave textual content seeking as sharp as,say,a MacBook's display, you are paying out 50 % the cost right here.
The keyboard cements the Asus Chromebook Flip C434's prospective as being a real work laptop computer. There's a good total of vacation, and it feels not too dissimilar from the vintage 2015 MacBook Pro.This keyboard responses is ever so somewhat deeper in tone, but it's a dilemma of character relatively than quality. The keys are backlit as well, but as opposed to Home windows laptops there isn't any committed important to show that on and off.Press Alt and F4 and the degree adjustments: professional tip with the working day.The trackpad underneath is just one component that won't really a match to the higher-price adapter samsung s34e790c this Asus is supposed to match. It truly is huge, and appears the part, but the surface area is plastic fairly than glass, and its clicker doesn't have a super-high-quality experience. There is a lot of give to it at the base, none in the prime.A fab pad would've concluded off this Chromebook superbly, but this one particular is simply Alright at finest.
Display
With these slim bezels on this machine,my eyes have been drawn on the Flip C434's 14-inch,1080p touch screen, that is pretty vivid and vivid,if limited of groundbreaking. After i watched a trailer for Detective Pikachu, nearby skyscrapers forged a lurid blue glow around the Pokemon's electric-yellow fur.A more in-depth inspection on this sharp display screen unveiled a delicate oplader dell da150pm100 chevron pattern while in the lovable Pokemon's detective cap, which sat above cute watery eyes that rival in cuteness all those of Puss in Boots. The glossy panel is quite reflective,so that you would not wish to utilize the Flip C434 exterior with a sunny working day.The 14-inch screen addresses 93 per cent with the sRGB color gamut,as outlined by our colorimeter. When the Chromebook x2 and Chromebook Professional have more-vivid shows, the Chromebook Flip C434's panel is much more vibrant than those on its predecessor, the Chromebook Clip 302CA,and also the average Chromebook. The Flip C434's exhibit equally falls from the middle from the pack for brightness.Having a peak rating of 286 nits, the Flip 434's monitor is much more luminous in comparison to the average Chromebook; however, the shows about the Chromebook Professional,Chromebook x2 and Flip C302CA glow brighter. The contact screen exactly tracked my erratic swipes as I navigated from just one Google Chrome tab towards the subsequent, examining sports scores and viewing Overwatch on Twitch.Even though the Flip C434 is modest for your 14-inch notebook,it truly is still rather cumbersome as being a pill. All of the substances adapter microsoft floor pro 3 are listed here.Regardless of whether you need to drown out the din at your local espresso store or settle in for just a late-night film, the C434's assortment of audio solutions have you included.I am constantly happy to discover a headphone jack on laptops - there is certainly only no justification to depart it from the spec sheet.Cleanse seem pumped by way of my favourite set of wired headphones by way of the C434's 3.5mm jack. You may as well tap in the Bluetooth radio in case you want, nevertheless the wired port delivers substantially excellent seem. The integrated stereo speakers will not be your normal tin cans.Asus says the C434 has huge resonance chambers hiding within the chassis and that i imagine it.The Chromebook Flip provides a lot more than ample audio to fill an business office, resort,or dorm area.I used to be delighted together with the well balanced profile accu lenovo u330 with the seem,it failed to lean also seriously towards bass or treble tones. It can be would not rock your globe, nonetheless it suffices for daily listening.
Performace
The plan of that significant conserving could be the main reason you purchase a Chromebook. But precisely what is its Chrome OS software program actually like The greater you pay back for it,the more serious it appears: which is the blunt fact.It really is fantastic in the event you hop in between general public Wi-Fi hopper,or stay off Google Docs,as the Asus Chromebook Flip feels a little bit like Android which has a appropriate Windows-style front stop. You'll be able to operate various applications at once,in scalable home windows, equally as you'll having a usual laptop. And it supports adapter dell 689c4 Android apps. This opens an entire globe around the Asus Chromebook Flip, whether or not it can be just the cellular phone and pill application entire world instead compared to the just one of more "serious" stuff you have on Home windows. For example,it is possible to down load Microsoft Term and have a completely serviceable version of that phrase processor,if Google Docs seems just a little flimsy. We downloaded the first Sonic the Hedgehog from Google Enjoy, plugged in a very PS4 gamepad over USB and relived the 90s for 10 minutes. We tried out some races accu lenovo z710 in Asphalt eight. It operates just dandy other than the odd dropped frame and looks superb on the 14in monitor. It is possible to use a lot of entertaining with a Chromebook, and it nails gentle get the job done, juggling all those Google docs people today hold sharing along with you.But remember what it can not do.An Acer Swift three,a less expensive Windows notebook, allows you to make use of the same new music output application as Calvin Harris. It lets you utilize the same photo modifying software program as,properly, whoever shot past month's Vogue protect.A Chromebook won't.In addition it stumbles with fairly lots of Android apps. Some you should not scale properly into the complete display screen sizing, and other individuals are only not appropriate. You are able to perform Gameloft's Asphalt eight. But Asphalt 9 That is off restrictions.Ark:Survival Advanced installs, but it really would not operate.Minecraft Story Mode has really serious touchscreen challenges and Munch's Oddysee isn't going to even make it to your title display in advance of closing alone down.Within this context, the place Google Perform appears to be a selection box of biscuits someone has dropped en-route,raw electricity oplader lg lcap39 would not really necessarily mean that much.Nevertheless the Asus CHromebook Flip's CPU is barely good.It is really the Intel Main m3-8100Y.This is often a processor designed for light-weight jobs and very low power use.The more affordable HP Chromebook X360 has an Intel i3-8130U,that's a lot more powerful. But does it issue You could argue Chrome OS in its present-day condition adapter lg 24mn33dpz won't seriously do considerably that warrants a blistering CPU.Along with the m3-8100Y isn't "cheaper" when compared to the i3-8130U.It is just distinct.
The Chromebook Flip C434 is my new favored Chromebook. The 2-in-1 laptop improves on its by now superb predecessor by presenting a bigger,14-inch display within a likewise sized aluminum chassis.Together having a somewhat shiny and vivid 1080p panel, the Flip C434 has effective speakers and lasts for practically ten hrs with a demand. But no laptop is perfect. The Flip C434 is over the pricey aspect to get a Chromebook, and it scored combined final results accu asus tf201 on our overall performance benchmarks. However, the Chromebook Flip C434 is often a standout 2-in-1 that provides Mac and Home windows consumers a compelling motive to change to Chrome. In case you choose a detachable and also have some room in the funds, then go with the HP Chromebook x2,a 12.3-inch hybrid pill which has a bright display, lengthy battery existence along with a relaxed detachable keyboard. And when you would like to conserve cash, then the Samsung Chromebook three might be the laptop in your case.Even though the Chromebook three doesn't offer you the identical effectiveness as being the Flip C434,this is often a steal thanks to its long battery daily life and vivid display.Overall, the Chromebook Flip C434 is definitely an excellent 2-in-1 laptop computer as well as the system I'd recommend to any individual creating the switch to Chrome OS.Asus packed in a reasonable 48 watt-hours of battery ability into the Chromebook Flip C434's chassis.Combined with the low-power CPU as well as the normally efficient nature of Chrome OS,we hoped that the 2-in-1 might get us via a functioning working day away from the charge. That's specifically since it turned out, although we hit a snag as we commenced our testing.Usually,we utilize the Basemark world wide web benchmark to check battery everyday living underneath load, but the Chromebook Flip C434 wouldn't finish the examination. So,we stepped to our net searching test that operates via a collection of well-known internet sites right until the battery operates out. Here, the Asus lasted for a very fantastic 10 in addition to a 50 % hrs.Which is greater than the Acer Chromebook 13's 8 as well as a fifty percent hours, plus the HP Chromebook x2's just one hour extended. It's also aggressive with top quality Home windows 10 laptops like the Dell XPS 13.Inside our video clip looping examination that runs via a nearby Avengers trailer right up until the machine oplader dell dw5g3 shuts down, the Chromebook Flip C434 managed around eleven.five several hours.Which is nearly three several hours for a longer time compared to Acer Chromebook 13 and close to two hrs longer as opposed to HP Chromebook x2 and Google Pixelbook.High quality Windows laptops do past more time on this check, even so.All round, you're likely to acquire a reliable functioning day from the Chromebook Flip C434,as long as the majority of your operate is designed up in the common Chrome OS productivity responsibilities.Fan the flames of Android online games, and you will find the battery to burn off out a great deal a lot more immediately.
Verdict
Just like Home windows and Mac laptops,Chromebooks change a good deal in regards to selling price. There are bottom-of-the-barrel solutions that should not be regarded as by any one,and within the flip aspect, you could commit nicely in excess of in case you want one thing truly premium and high-end.On the subject of very affordable styles that happen to be still worthy of a darn, however,Chromebooks have got a lot to supply. You can find a good deal of great Chromebooks at various rates, but from what we have seen, the best student-friendly Chromebooks charge underneath. That is extremely reasonably priced to get a high-quality notebook accu hp 14-p001xx that'll last for years to come, and when you consult your wallet,we're certain it's going to be quite happy with that range, too. In truth, with a thing like the Lenovo Chromebook C330,you could expend properly less than and nonetheless get an unbelievable device. Also, because Chrome OS is actually a significantly lighter functioning process than anything like Home windows,Chromebooks with lower-end processors and less RAM are inclined to conduct a lot better as opposed to similarly-speced Home windows equipment.
