#I Wish You A Happy Blorthog!

[[ Starter for @softheart-bigarms-panther !]]
It was Blorthog! And while it wasn’t like the festivity to go to your friend’s place in the night before already to basically just camp there and wait, to actually catch her before she would leave for visiting all of her many friends and not return before the day was almost over already - it worked. Here Moonshot was, happy that Starfire had agreed for some togetherness with him within the park of Jump City. The park was a good choice, it wasn’t the Tower, and that meant less interference from the Titans - specifically from him. So here they were, and after choosing an empty table to sit at, they had exchanged necklaces and now were talking a little while Starfire took out various things like cake-boxes and drinks.
It wasn’t like him to not keep his focus on Starfire when he actually had the chance to be like this with her, but something - or rather someone - caught his attention and eventually Moonshot jumped up from his seat to charge his energy and glare at the potential threat. “Who are you? Why are you watching us?” “Moonshot, please!” Starfire tried to calm him, getting up too and turning to who Moonshot had noticed.

“Starfire! It is good to see you!” Ariel smiles. She had been on her way to do some grocery shopping, but it was nothing that could not wait. “I have plenty of  time for you. How do we celebrate?” She tilts her head in curiosity.
“Wonderful!” She clapped her hands happily, and then took out a necklace made of silver beads that slightly chimed with every movement. “The most important part of the celebration of Blorthog are the necklaces! They are representing the connection of a friendship, and they are gifted to the friends accompanied by well-wishing!” Reaching over, she stopped in movement a little bit away, waiting for a sign if Ariel was alright with her placing the necklace around her. “Most of the other activities are not required - the importance is in the spending time together and recognizing that a friendship is very valuable and should never be taken for given!”

[[Blorthog-starter for @flashgotthis!]]
It was a perfect day to make some more people shout and run. And she was rather certain that today her sister, and hopefully her friends in extension too, were somewhat distracted so that trouble not in their city wasn’t going to reach them as fast, which meant that she had a few less heroes to worry about appearing.
Tumblr media
“What’s the matter, already running? I haven’t even started properly yet!” She had hurled a few blasts down and the people were already screaming and leaving as fast as they could - as the buildings around were probably soon going to start coming down if she kept up her starbolts.

“Oh!” The answer, for anyone wondering, was kind of, sort of, maybe, perhaps. ( Which, for those keeping track at home, obviously isn’t a huge resounding of course I have some time, I’d love to spend some time with you! ) Truth of, like, truths, or whatever, Willow doesn’t have a lot of time left. ( Or food. Or wakefulness. Is that what you called it? Being awake, staying awake? The amount of time before you had no choice over whether or not you slept and you just, like, folded in on yourself? What was that called? )
But really, like, what kind of friend would Willow be if she said she couldn’t hang out on the day for friendship?
And what was the point in Traveling at all if she didn’t do the whole friend thing?
“Yeah! Uh! Yeah. Totally. Definitely. Tons of time. A little time, at least. Yes! We can, uh – definitely, yes. Is there food at the celebration?” Nice. “I mean – like, I didn’t bring any. Did you br– maybe I should just let you explain it, huh.”
She seemed surprised (or something else, but it’s how he understood it) at first, and that was probably by good reason to - he should learn to maybe mention festivities before they actually take place. Though then again, maybe that wouldn’t even change anything for Willow with how she travelled through time and all that - was it of any use to tell her if something was going to happen in, like, a few days or a week? Maybe he should ask that some time.
For now though, his face lit up a little more when she agreed, and he nodded eagerly, and then again to her question of food. “Yes! I have cake!” Two different kinds, actually, and not really made by him though he did assist his sister a bit - but the details would probably be alright to come later. An explanation would probably make sense first, and so he nodded once more, before for a moment turning his attention to his bag to search for something. “The big - mh, the impor-tant-test of Blorthog is the...”
Tumblr media
He paused for just a moment, his hands already pulling out a silvery white necklace that chimed a little with each movement and his head tilting at it as he did his best to remember the words for the explanation, “... the head- no, neck-lace-s. They are, like friend-ship, ... to-gether, but easy break.” He could explain that a lot better in tamaranean, of course, and with Will he even could do so, but Wildfire wanted to do it ‘the right way’ so he stuck with english as much as he could. “It is not big. The cele-bration.” There wasn’t really that much about it, outside of the necklaces a common thing was the sharing of cake, but the rest basically just asked for ‘spending time with the friends’, which could be almost anything. Holding out the necklace with the intention to place it around her neck, he held it there as he asked: “Can I?” It was always better to ask before doing so, and especially so when the whole celebration was new to someone. As it likely was to Will - unless of course she had at another time already celebrated with a version of him of a later time. The fact that that even was possible was still so confusing.

How long is forever? - Teen Titans x Aquagirl!Reader
Masterlist
Request: "Hello, May I request an episode insert in the Teen Titans episode 'How Long Is Forever?'"
Summary: Starfire takes a trip to the future... only to find out that you and the other Titans have disbanded. Will she find a way back to the present, or will you live an unfulfilling life forever?? (from S2 EP1)
Pairings: None
Word Count: 3919
A/N: Hey!!! sorry this took a while, it was super hard to write it due to most of it being in Starfire's POV. Most of the episodes in the series are centered around specific titans, so if you have an idea for an Aquagirl centered episode, feel free to send it in!!! (theres also a grand total of one cuss word in there)
Aquagirl’s Room - 2004
“Where is it? Where is it?” you mumble, tearing your room apart. You were looking for one of your CDs that you were in the mood for listening to. You threw your clothes into the air, looked under your bed, and even checked inside of your fish tank, holding the water containing a few tropical fish above you until you gave up. You sighed, finally checking the clock. You realized that you’ve been in your room for an hour and you haven’t even said hello to the other titans. You quickly change into your suit and head to the living room.
You stretched as you walked in. “Hey guys-” you stop in confusion at the scene in front of you. Starfire was standing awkwardly in the middle of the room, holding a bunch of necklaces and boxes and babbling something about “Blorthorg”, Beast Boy and Cyborg were brawling for a video game remote, Raven was reading silently and holding up a pair of nail clippers (?) telepathically, and Robin….
Anger bubbles up inside of you as you realize that he was in front of the stereo, blasting music. From your CD. You cross your arms as you march up to the Boy Wonder.
“Hey Rob, whatcha doing with my CD?” You say. “What, was Kelly Clarkson too quiet for you?”
Raven adds, “Yeah Robin, could the music be a little louder? I can still hear myself think.”
He glares at the two of you “I don’t listen- I only turned the music up to DROWN OUT ALL THE YELLING!!” He refers to the two boys. Cyborg now had Beast Boy in a headlock, holding the controller triumphantly.
“Whose turn is it now, tough guy? Whose turn is it now?” Cyborg taunts the green teen.
“Knock it off! I can't work with you two acting like idiots!” Robin yells.
“Work?? The only “work” I see you doing is stealing my stuff!” You snap.
“Great. More yelling will definitely stop the yelling.” Raven says, a sarcastic smirk on her face.
The three of you glared at each other, Cyborg and Beast Boy were still fighting, and one of Starfire’s necklaces broke, its beads tumbling onto the ground.
“STTTOOOOPPPPP!” the alien princess screamed. You stared at her in surprise. She took a deep breath and recomposed herself.
“ Friends must never behave this way, and especially not on Blorthog! Do you wish to invite the Rekmas?” she said.
“Gesundheit?” Beast Boy said, confused by her vocabulary.
“On my world, ‘Rekmas’ means ‘the Drifting.’” she explains. “The point at which close friends begin to drift apart, and their friendship begins to die.” She frowned. You immediately felt bad for all the yelling you did.
“Aw, come on, Starfire.” Cyborg comes to her side.
“We are so not Rek-whatever-ing.” Beast Boy reassures her.
“We're getting on each other's nerves a little. Big deal.” Raven says.
“Fighting’s just a part of life. As long as we resolve it, we’ll be fine.” You say.
“Yeah. This is just typical roommate stuff. We're not going to drift apart, Star. I promise. We'll all be friends forever.” Robin declares
“Forever?” Starfire asks. Before you could answer, Robin’s T-communicator beeped. The communicator was flashing red, and he turned to you and the others.
“Titans! Trouble!” he says. You all rush out of the Tower and into the city.
You find the “trouble” in the Jump City museum. It was a man wearing black and gold armor and a goatee: Warp. He was monologuing to a bunch of guards that he had frozen.
“I didn't journey back in time one hundred years to squabble, I came to steal.” You see him reaching for one of the clocks. “The Clock of Eternity. Valuable in the past, priceless in the future.” Robin steppeds forward, throwing his birdirang to knock Warp’s hand back.
“But for the present...you'll keep your filthy hands off it.” He says, announcing the Titans’ entrance. The man turns to the six of you.
"The Teen Titans. This is a treat. I read all about you in the historical archives. And now, you're all history!” He fires his laser at you all.
“Titans! Go!” Robin yells as you scramble to dodge his rays. He blocks Warp’s rays with his staff, but at the last shot the staff breaks, and he backed up. Starfire blasts her starbolts at him, but the bolts ricochet off of him and hits her, sending her to the ground. You and Beast Boy attack him now, a stream of water lifting you into the air by your feet. You put your hands in front of you and a jet of water blasts out of your hands, heading straight for Warp. He held his hand us as the water made contact with him, and froze the water. The ice traveled up the jet of water and onto your hands, encasing them in the long shard of ice. You fell, the weight of the ice dragging you down. You winced as you saw Beast Boy meet a similar fate, his animal form frozen in ice next to you. You struggled to free your hands as Cyborg and Raven both went down. Robin gives one last attempt to take Warp down, running towards him.
“You cannot defeat Warp. I am from the future.” He says, throwing disks towards Robin. He dove to the side as the projectiles exploded. “And your relics are one hundred years out of date." He grabs the clock and presses a blue lens from his armor. Suddenly, a blinding white portal forms in front of him. Your hands were still stuck so you had to squint.
“Ta-ta, Titans. I have enjoyed our time together, but I've got a very bright future ahead of me.” He sneers, stepping through the portal. You finally pull your hands out of the chunk of ice just in time to see Starfire slam into Warp, sending the two of them into the portal.
“Starfire!” Robin yells, trying to dive in after her, only for the portal to close and him to fall on the floor. You pull him up from the ground and look around. Starfire was gone.
Titan’s Tower-2024
Starfire couldn’t believe what was going on. After tackling Warp, she ripped off the lens on his suit and ended up in Jump City, 20 years into the future. She found Cyborg alone in the rotting Titans Tower, hooked up to a large battery. He explained that the day she left, the Titans fell apart, and disbanded soon after. He told her that the others can help her get back to the present, telling her where to find you, Beast Boy, and Raven.
She found herself at a circus whilst looking for Beast Boy. There in a cage, sat Beast Boy, changing into various animals. She approached the cage as he turned back into his human form. He was now a pudgy old man, with a great deal of hair loss. He looked at her with wide eyes through the bars.
“No way! It's you. But how?” he asked, peering at her with his wrinkled eyes.
“I require your help.” Starfire said.
“What kinda help?” Beast Boy asked.
“The future is not as it should be. We must find Warp. I will free you from this--” Beast Boy stopped Starfire from continuing her sentence.
“This cage isn't to keep me in! It's to keep those maniacs out!” he explained in a panicked tone, referring to a group of kids. “Look. After the Titans broke up, I tried the whole solo-hero thing. Got my butt kicked, a lot. So now, well…”
He turned into a chicken briefly to illustrate his point. “ Besides, I'm in the showbiz now.” Starfire could tell he wasn’t happy with where he was, but there was nothing she could do. She left Beast Boy and went to find Raven.
She found Raven in a room in a broken down building. She was standing in a pure white room, wearing a white cloak to match. Her back was facing Starfire when she arrived.
“Raven?” she squeaked, inching into the room. “Raven, it is Starfire, your friend”
“No such thing.” she groaned, her back still facing Starfire. Starfire’s eyebrows furrowed.
“Please, Raven I-”
“Just another figment. Don’t even look.”
“You must listen! I am here because-” she pleads, but Raven stops her.
“I’m never coming back! Go away!” she yells, Starfire backing up in fear. “It has to go away. Just like before. Just like all the others.” Starfire frowns in realization. She must not think I’m real; she thinks it's all in her head.
“Your mind.” she says softly, approaching the cloaked woman. “Without friends, you must have--” Starfire was about to touch Raven, but her familiar dark shield formed around her. She gasps, then eventually leaves the room in defeat. There was one last person she could try talking to. You.
She walked by the Jump City beach, the same place where you got your powers all those years ago. Suddenly, you rose out of the ocean, the water around you carrying you onto shore. Your face was stuck in a permanent glare, different to your constant smiles as a teen. You were taller, definitely had a few wrinkles, and you were wearing Atlantean clothing. Starfire flinched at your sudden arrival.
“Aquagirl! how-”
“I don’t go by Aquagirl anymore. I am Queen (y/n), ruler of Atlantis. And word gets around when one of your old teammates who had disappeared 20 years ago is roaming Jump City again, even at the bottom of the ocean.” You say coldly, eyeing her as she shrunk at the sight of you.
“What had happened to you, my friend?” she asked.
You sigh, recalling your memories. “After you disappeared and the team disbanded, I vowed to never be as soft and vulnerable as I was then. I moved to Atlantis, and was eventually appointed ruler.”
“Oh my, that sounds terrible!” Starfire exclaimed. “I need your help my friend-”
“No.”
“No?”
“No. It’s not terrible, I am quite fine just the way I am. And we were friends 20 years ago; things have changed.” You turn your back to her. “I must get going; there’s much I need to do.” Starfire stares at you in sadness as you walk back into the ocean, the water swallowing you up and the waves lapping like normal.
Starfire trudges through the snow-covered city, when a laser blast knocks her back. Her eyes raise to meet with Warp’s, his weapon aimed at her.
“What’s the matter, dear? Have I come at a bad time?” he snarls, opening fire once more. She dodges his shots and fires back, but the starbolts simply bounce off his modern armor. She tried to hit him close up but he held up his hand and ice formed around her midair. The large chunk of ice containing Starfire drops and shatters, leaving Starfire on the ground, shivering. She glares at Warp, who now has deeper wrinkles on his face.
“You have become so old,” she notes, still on the ground.
“That's what happens when someone steals my vortex regulator.” he says, holding out his hand. “The regulator, if you please. I really must get back to my future.” She stands up and takes the lens out from her belt. She couldn’t let him leave, especially when she’s stuck in a future like this. She held the disk next to her and warmed up a starbolt, as if to hold it hostage.
“If you ever wish to see your future you will repair the damage you have done to my past!” she yelled, anger bubbling up inside her. The villain laughed.
“Damage? Silly girl. There's nothing wrong with your past. One cannot damage history, because history cannot be changed.” He held up the clock and continued. “I went back in time to steal this because history says it disappeared. And history says it disappeared because I went back to steal it. Past, present, future. It's all written in stone, my dear.”
Starfire stood in disbelief dropping her glowing hand. No… this can't be the future we’re destined to live. Such terrible lives… she thought. Warp walked up to her shocked state and took the lens out of her hand.
“And nothing you do can ever change it.” he scoffed. Warp prepared to blast her when he was knocked into the alleyway by an unknown figure. Starfire snapped back into reality and looked around for you had knocked the villain back. A dark silhouette lept forward and threw Warp against the end wall of the alley. They threw disks at the villain, the area around him exploding. When the smoke cleared, Starfire could see that Warp had used a force field. He released his shield only to be met with the mysterious figure dropping down towards him. He stared straight at Starfire.
“Another time, perhaps.” he said. Before the shadowed person could reached him, he dropped into the ground. The person who had tried to fight him landed right where Warp had been, and as they straightened up, Starfire inched forward to see who it was.
“It’s good to see you again.” the person said. Starfire could recognize that voice from anywhere, and apparently, anytime.
“Robin?” she asked.
“I haven’t used that name in a long time.” he said, finally stepping out of the shadows. He looked nothing like the Boy Wonder she knew. His traffic-light esque uniform was replaced by a black suit with a blue bird on the front. He still wore a mask and he now had long, black hair.
“Call me… Nightwing.”
Starfire found herself in Robin’s (or Nightwing’s) base. She looked at a glass case of his old uniform, a feeling of melancholy washing over her. She was glad that he was ok, but the Robin she once knew was now nothing more than a mannequin display. Nightwing wrapped a blanket around her with a small smile.
Nightwing finally spoke. “So I’ve heard you’ve been looking for help.”
Starfire sighed. “There is nothing you can do. There is nothing anyone can do. The past cannot be repaired, the future cannot be altered, no matter how wrong it seems.”
“So it’s impossible.” Nightwing determined from her rant, walking towards a bunch of computers. “Good. If memory serves, we've done the impossible before.”
Nightwing’s words had surprised Starfire. None of the others had said anything as hopeful since she’d arrived here. A small fire of hope blossomed inside of her.
“I held on to this,” Nightwing says, pressing a button from a device. “...just in case.” Starfire’s eyes widened, realizing that it was a T-communicator. The communicator began to flash red, and to Starfire’s delight, so did her neck piece and wrist guard.
At the bottom of the ocean, you sat on a throne, talking to your advisers. As they left, your seashell necklace began to flash red. You looked at it in surprise, recognizing what it meant: it was an emergency signal that Robin had put in your necklace while you were still in a team. Even after 20 years, he had never used it until now. You began to get up from your throne when a group of your advisors came back, swarming you with scrolls and questions. You sat back down, a bitter feeling in your throat.
Beast Boy’s belt had flashed red whilst he was performing a trick in his animal form. He quickly jumped back into human form. He observed his belt for a moment before stepping back, hanging his head.
Cyborg's robotic eye flashed red as he sat alone in the Titans Tower. He immediately got up and started towards the door, only to be stopped by the wires keeping him alive and stuck inside the tower. He looks back at the power source.
Raven still stands alone in the room, her back facing the door. The brooch of her cloak flashes red, and without looking at it, she covers it with her hand.
Starfire and Nightwing venture to Jump City museum, where they find Warp, fixing his time travel suit. He wields the lens that he took from Starfire to his suit, whilst talking to himself.
“Tick-tock.” he laughs. “Just a few more seconds, and I shall finally--” his sentence was cut off by Nightwing knocking the tool out of his hand, revealing him and Starfire’s position.
“The future will have to wait.” Nightwing says, extending his staff. “You just ran out of time.”
Warp growls and fires laser beams at them, causing them to split up to avoid getting hit. Starfire shoots her starbolts at Warp again, despite them getting deflected by his force field. Nightwing however, jumped down on him again, using his staff to crush one of his lasers. He turns to face Nightwing, but Starfire lands a hit on his back with her starbolt. He tries to laser Starfire but has to dodge Nightwing’s staff attacks that barely strike him. He fights quickly and with fury, eventually knocking Warp flat on his back. The two heroes step close to him to inspect him. But Warp grins, and uses his second laser to blow a hole through the roof, snow and rubble falling onto Starfire.
“Star!” Nightwing yells, but Warp blasts him back with his laser. Warp runs over to the tool he dropped and started repairing his suit again as Nightwing helped Starfire up. Suddenly, he was blasted back by a familiar blue ray. Starfire and Nightwing turn to see Cyborg, his arm cannon smoking, but being able to function without any wires.
“Boo-yah” he says with a grimace.
“Cyborg!” Starfire exclaims, flying over to the half robot. “You are repaired!”
“Glad you could make it,” Nightwing says, joining them.
“Wouldn't have missed it. Now who said y'all could start without me?” Cyborg said as Warp stood back up.
“So sorry,” Warp said, holding up another device. “Perhaps I should finish you first!” Before he could use the device, he was attacked by a green lion, Beast Boy. Warp looked at the lens he was repairing, now crackling with electricity. In anger, he pointed a laser at him, but a jet of water shot up from the floor. You ran into view, a trident now in your hand.
“Heard you guys needed help!” you yell, a hint of a smile peeking out from your stoic face.
Before Warp could fall to the ground again, he is overtaken by magic, and thrown into the side of the wall. Raven materializes, still wearing a white cloak.
“Nobody hurts my friends,” she said, reminiscent of the first time you met her.
“Dude, that is so unfair,” Beast Boy whines, comparing his bald head to Nightwing’s flowing hair. The six Titans turn to see Warp, who has managed to create a wormhole, despite his suit being damaged.
“It seems my time has come,” Warp said, preparing to walk through the wormhole. Nightwing threw a birdarang at Warp, Warp throwing his own disk to intercept it. Starfire watched in awe as the birdirang sliced through Warp’s disk and hit him in the chest, right where the lens sat.
“Uh?! No! NOOOOO!” the six of you watched in horror as Warp regressed in age until he was nothing more than a screaming infant.
“Ok, I am not changing any diapers.” Beast Boy said, staring at the baby.
Cyborg looked at Starfire. “We gotta get you home. Come on!” he pointed at the wormhole, which was shrinking. He took the lens from the suit and put it in his arm cannon. He fired at the wormhole, making it bigger.
“Im redirecting the wormhole.” Cyborg said, turning to Starfire. “Starfire! Go!” She steps towards the portal and looks back at her friends. Their lives seemed so lonely and.. dissatisfying. Is this life they were destined to live?
“Please, must this really be our future?” She asked. The rest of you looked at her silently, sadness in your eyes. “Is there nothing I can do to change it?” Nightwing stepped up and looked directly into her eyes.
“I'm sorry, Star. There isn't time.” Nightwing said. He placed the clock that Warp had stolen in her hand and his other hand on her shoulder. He gives her one last smile before stepping back towards the other Titans, beckoning her to enter the portal. Starfire took a deep breath, and walked into the portal.
Jump City Museum - 2004
“Ta-ta, Titans. I have enjoyed our time together, but I've got a very bright future ahead of me.” He sneers, stepping through the portal. You finally pull your hands out of the chunk of ice just in time to see Starfire slam into Warp, sending the two of them into the portal.
“Starfire!” Robin yells, trying to dive in after her, only for the portal to close and him to fall on the floor. You pull him up from the ground and look around. Starfire was gone.
“Oh my god,” you whispered.
Beast Boy stared at the place the portal was. “Um, where did she-?”
Another portal opens with a brilliant flash between Beast Boy and Cyborg. Starfire falls out, curled around an item. You all rushed towards her.
“Dude!”
“Whoa!”
“Star! What happened?” Robin asked as the portal behind her closed.
“History said it disappeared.” Starfire said, straightening and revealing the clock warp had just stolen. “But history was wrong!”
The boys stared at her dumbstruck but you laughed, diving in for a hug.
You stood with the other titans as Starfire recounted her story. You covered your mouth in awe to find out what happened to you and the others in the future.
“Then Nightwing handed me the clock and I entered the vortex.” she finished.
“Woah,” Raven said, shocked by the recount of Starfire’s story.
“Bald?!” Beast Boy yells, grabbing at his hair. “You're telling me I'm going to be bald?!”
“Gosh, Star, all of our lives seem so terrible,” you say, thinking about what Starfire had said about you. You were a queen (which was cool), but you were also a cold hearted bitch (super uncool). You didn’t want that to happen, and more importantly for you to no longer be friends with the other Titans.
“Guess you were right about all that Rekmas stuff,” Cyborg said, slightly concerned.
“I don't want us to drift apart. Does it all have to happen? Isn't there anything we can-” Robin worries out loud, but Starfire stops him.
“Our friendship has already changed Warp's past. I believe it can also change our future.” Starfire says with a smile.
“Yeah I mean, the original reason we “broke up” was because of Starfire disappearing, and since she’s here now, we aren’t breaking up!” You chimed in, grinning at the other Titans.
Raven picks up the broken necklace with her telekinesis, stringing them back together.
“So… is it too late to do this festival-of-friendship thing?” she asks.
Starfire’s eyes sparkled. “Oh, it’s never too late!”
You all put on the bulbous necklaces Starfire brought in the morning.
“HAPPY BORTHOG!!!” Cyborg cheers.
“I thought it was Blort-Hog,” Beast Boy wondered.
“Okay, I feel like a wind-chime.” Raven groans.
“A very cool wind-chime,” you winked.
Starfire put the last necklace on Robin. He raises an eyebrow at her.
“So… Nightwing, huh?” he asked.
“Don’t even think about it bird brain,” you yelled from across the room, causing him to blush. You all burst out into laughter. The tower stayed cheerful the rest of the night.

On her way to the doll's house, the tamaranean had hummed a little to herself - the day was just wonderful so far, and it would just get even better! Soon she stood in front of the door, and gently knocked. "Clementine? Are you home? It is Blorthog again, and I wish to celebrate it with you!"
@starfirechan
The little doll was sitting quietly at her table, hard at work with a craft she’s been messing with since yesterday morning. While forgetting the tamaranean name for it, Clementine knew today was important to her friend. Last year she was caught off guard, feeling bad that she didn’t have a gift to give in return. But now, she was ready!
Well…almost. The knock startled her, and when she heard the familiar voice behind the door, the girl struggled to quickly finish up her work, hastily stuffing it in a small wooden box that was blotched with purple paint. “C-coming!”
The door opened to reveal the cheerful doll, with purple spots dotting her hands and one on her cheek. She took no hesitation to wrap her arms around Starfire’s legs, looking up with eagerness.

Post-Go! (Episode 62)
The smoking remains of the Gordanian ship was firmly planted into the ground on the small green island in Jump City Bay, serving as a last reminder of Trogaar's invasion and threat to destroy the city. Other than that, there were no traces of the destruction. City life had returned to normal, for the most part, and the buildings had been reconstructed. But for four teenage heroes, nothing was ever going to be the same again. They were no longer four heroes; they were one team. And so they stood as one team.
The purple-haired empath stood beside her friends. No, not her friends. They were her family, and she would protect them to her very last breath. She sighed, drinking in the sights of the city and bay. "That's quite a view."
The metallic teen standing beside her scanned the horizon and the island. This would be a good home, a real home. Somewhere he could always return to. And so he said as much. "Somebody oughta build a house out here."
But somebody meant himself as he thought about how to convert the remains of Trogaar’s ship into a good home. It would have to be tall. Maybe a tower...
The green shapeshifter responded eagerly, "Yeah, if you like the sunshine and the beach." He grinned, showing off his pointed fangs, and elbowed the empath.
To his surprise, she laughed. Raven had laughed at one of his jokes. Dark, serious Raven. But what came after was even more surprising. "You know, you're kind of funny."
The shapeshifter's ears perked up. "You think I'm funny? Dude, I know some jokes."
Raven sweat-dropped. She definitely not ready for an entire afternoon filled with cringy jokes from Beast Boy. But, luckily for her, something, or rather someone, interrupted the conversation.
A purple-clad figure landed on the island, a couple meters away from the group of four teens. She was a familiar figure in unfamiliar clothes. Gone were her armor, her royal headpiece, and dark clothing. In its place was a more casual lavender suit, consisting of a crop top, a swishy miniskirt, and an armband. However, the gauntlets were still in place. The alien figure turned towards to the teens, needing to learn more about Earth culture. "Please. I look...nice?"
Everyone turned towards the source of the voice as Robin stepped forwards. Robin had come to Jump City to liberate himself from the shadow of Batman. He had set out become a solo hero but had instead found himself a part of a group. A team. A band of misfits, that called each other family.
And, now, Robin found him in love, scratch that, Robin could not bear to let his guard down. Robin was not in love, he could not be. Robin had to remain strong, and could not let anyone be ripped apart from him again. Especially the alien girl he had grown so fond of lately. But for now, he could just talk to her as long as he controlled himself. So, instead of telling her that she was beautiful, he just went with a simple phrase. "I still don't know your name."
"In your language, it would be 'Starfire.'"
"Welcome to Earth, Starfire."
"I thank you all for your bravery and help, and I wish to ask permission..to remain here. Where people the people are most strange...but also most kind." It was no doubt she was indirectly thanking Robin for his kindness. And it was no doubt that she returned his feelings for her. Blushing, both turned away.
Raven smirked, undoubtedly knowing that someday Robin and Starfire would become the city's cutest power couple. "You don't need our permission."
"But if you want our friendship, you've got it," interjected Robin, hoping the alien girl would not be hostile.
The cyborg thought deeply about this. He was sure that he needed friends. And, by his friends’ expressions, it seemed that their pasts were pretty dramatic and wanted a home too. "Guess we could all new some real friends."
Silently, the others all agreed with Cyborg. Beast Boy voiced his opinion first.  "Besides, we kind of made a good team."
Robin agreed, "I thought we might want to keep in touch," and fished inside his utility belt. "So Cyborg and I designed these."
He spread out his hands, showing three yellow communicators. Beast Boy, Raven, and Starfire each took one and stared at them admiringly. They were sturdy, built by their resident tech genius Cyborg. "Made 'em outta my own circuits."
The group stood in silence. Each one contemplated their own past and how nice it was to finally feel like they belonged. Robin was the first to break it. "When there's trouble, you know who to call.”
--------
As dawn broke, a police officer investigated the crime scene near Jump City Jewelers. It was obviously broken into and, strangely, the culprit already apprehended, tied up a few blocks away in an alleyway. The bag of jewels he stole lay by his side, just a few feet out of reach.
“Strange,” The policeman muttered. “What could have happened?”
He looked around, surveying the scene. A dumpster, a few rats. The unconscious thief, tied with a regular rope. The fire escape was still there. No weapons were to be found. The jewels. All the missing gems were in the sack. He would have to return them later. No trace of the one who stopped the criminal.
He turned on his walkie-talkie.“Look, John, I found our little thief who crashed the JCJ. He paused. “He was apprehended by a mysterious hero. There is no trace.”
He sighed. “John, I tell you, April Fool’s was over a month ago. I get it that you’re still upset over the donut prank but this is real. I need you to come over. And we need to get some answers out of our unconscious friend here.” He paused again. “Alex, out.”
--------
“Well, y’all, welcome to Titans Tower. I built her in three days with the best tech you could find in the area. WayneTech,” Cyborg announced, looking meaningfully at Robin. “Thanks, man, for funding it.”
“No problem,” Robin said. He had inspected everything the day before. It was flawless. “The tower is great. Computer mainframe and defense systems are top-notch. Good job!”
Cyborg beamed. He was happy he could be doing something worthwhile again after being shunned for his accident. He surveyed the tower. Raven was reading on the couch already. Beast Boy was playing video games on the game station while Starfire was hovering from place to place. Then she approached him.
“Friend Cyborg, this is truly delightful. It is glorious to have a place to call home again.” She hugged him tightly.
“Starfire, can’t breathe.”
“My apologies, dear friend.”
“S’okay Star. Just remember humans are pretty fragile.”
Cyborg moved to the couch and picked up the other game station control. “Two player? Bet ya can’t beat me in Mega Monkeys 2 Racer Mode?”
“Dude, you are so on.” Beast Boy said. “You’re going down.”
“We’ll see about that, grass stain.” Cyborg’s monkey shoved Beast Boy’s into a nearby banana tree on the screen. “Ha.”
“Dude, we’ve known each other for like a month and you’re already insulting my sick gaming skills, Metal Butt?” Beast Boy tapped at the controls furiously.
“Yeah, so what?” Cyborg said, concentrating on the game. The two continued bickering.
Raven groaned. “Boys will be idiots.”
--------
Starfire sat on the edge of the roof in Titans Tower, gazing at the stars. She gazed wistfully at the pink and white dot in the distance and found herself homesick for Tamaran.
“Hey, Star,” Robin said, approaching from behind and shutting the door to the roof. “May I sit?”
“Of course, friend Robin!”
“Thanks.” Robin chuckled as he took a seat beside Starfire. “Why are you out at night?”
“I believe I am sick for my home. Tamaran.” Starfire pointed to the pink and white speck in the sky.
“Do you want to talk about it?”
“Of course. There are the festivals and there is the gatherings.” Starfire began listing items. “Blorthog. And Snarf, my pet dror. Oh, and the concerts of the gorkapipes. Zorkaberry pie eating contests. Tamaran is a most glorious place!”
--------
“Trouble,” Robin yelled. “Overload’s striking in the WayneTech facility on the east side of town.”
“Got it, man.” Cyborg raced towards the door as Beast Boy and Raven tagged behind.
“Do you require the lift, Friend Robin?”
“Up to you, Star?”
“What does the ‘up to the you’ mean?”
“Your choice.”
“Oh, I believe I am comprehending.” Starfire gripped Robin’s hand tightly and pulled him out the door and into the vast blue sky. No villain was a match for the Teen Titans.

On January 10th 2004 the episode How Long Is Forever aired. As such, I like to recognize Jan 10th as Blorthog the Tameranian day of friendship. I thank all my friends for being good to me and I reflect back on the Titans, and how they taught me what friendship is all about. So I want to take the time today to wish you, all the honorary Titans in the world, and just anyone who may read this, a Joyous Blorthog. May your friendships last forever, however long that may be.
OH HAPPY BLORTHOG TO YOU TOO ANON!

"Sorry, this took so long." Raven began as she outstretched her hand that held a sort of crudely made necklace that had yellow-painted stars and other celestial planets and shapes, and a few jingle bells for good measure-- and glitter. It was safe to say that there was glitter still stuck to her hand and cloak in some areas. "Happy Blorthog." -- "I heard from a few sources of mine that someone-- someone being you." Aqualad paused, gesturing to Starfire. "Has a thing for mustard. Now, here on earth it's not really used as a beverage. But if you like to drink it, I'm not going to stand in your way." He waved his left hand casually before reaching for a somewhat large gift bag to the side. Inside the bag contained a large restaurant size container of mustard and a star-shaped curly straw. "Happy Blor-- Blorthog? I said that right yeah? I hope I did." -- also happy Blorthog to mun uwu <3
It’s Blorthog!
[[Thanks for sending one! :D]]
Starfire beamed when Raven held out a necklace. “Oh, Raven! It is wonderful!” She could see how much effort it must have been, and that alone was making it the best display of friendship. Giggling happily, she put the necklace on before hugging Raven, and giggling again when after parting, she found a few shredof the remaining glitter on herself, too. “I thank you! A most happy Blorthog to you as well!”
-----
It was flattering that Aqualad knew of her preference for the tangy condiment, and Starfire quickly blushed lightly and giggled. When he revealed the gift bag and she looked inside, she gasped, before jumping back to him to hug him tightly. “Oh, what a most glorious gift! It is wonderful, and yes, you have pronounced that very well! I thank you!”
----
Yes, to you too! I’m happy we’re friends and interaction partners and all! <3

Whenever Starfire goes to check the mailbox she will find a letter from Ariel. Inside it is a necklace that Ariel had made. It is not very good, but it is a beaded necklace made with metal beads. Despite the necklace as a whole being clumsily made, Ariel had altered the the beads with her powers; turning boring shapes into more decorative ones. There is a note too. Ariel apologizing for not being able to meet with her friend to celebrate and looking forward to when they can meet up again. It also reveals that Ariel has somewhat bad handwriting.
It’s Blorthog!
[[Thanks for sending one!]]
It’s late by the time that Starfire returns home. Blorthog is always a day where she is rather busy, wanting to include as many friends as possible (but also making sure that who she celebrated with, she stayed with for a while, since that was the whole thing of Blorthog) and always just telling herself to continue a little longer to maybe visit another friend of hers. She had wandered the city for a little bit too, and went to Ariel’s place, in hopes to meet with her, but it didn’t work out and she had then left a message along with a necklace in Ariel’s mailbox before continuing with another visit. It was a very pleasant surprise to see that Ariel had thought of the same, and Starfire smiled as she opened the letter and found the necklace. It might not be a perfect thing, but that didn’t matter, it was the personal factor that made this an absolutely wonderful gift. She hugged the necklace along with the letter close to her chest for a moment, before continuing to read, and then putting the necklace on before folding the letter again once she was done.
A happy Blorthog to you as well, Ariel!

[[ Before I start: This is based on my headcanons. It is in no way founded with any kind of canon or something (aside from the fact that this festival exists in canon and the necklaces have also been shown), and the date is also (mostly randomly) chosen by me. ]]
Today, on the 17th of April, is when the tamaranean festival named Blorthog takes place!
What is Blorthog, you ask? It is the tamaranean festival to celebrate friendships. It is important to realize the value of your friendships, so that you can treat them with as much importance as when they were new. This celebration is held to help admit the feelings of friendship that are there, to recall them and remember them again.
How is it celebrated? The most prominent feature of Blorthog are the necklaces. They are self-made, with care and without limitations about their colors. The common-used variant are simple white/grey-ish beads, but there is no explicit rule to stick to those. These necklaces are carefully placed around the friend’s necks, while exchaning well-wishes. The basic of the festival is only the gifting of necklaces and then the spending time with friends. There are more activities that can be done, but none is truly necessary. Examples of other activities are: - A very long hugging - Standing in a circle (if there are more than two people, otherwise standing in front of each other), holding hands and voicing what one is grateful for in their present friends - As it is also common in most earthen festivities, on Blorthog there is very often a cake to be shared among friends, as well - Exchanging of other, thoughtful, gifts (as in what the other long dreamed of but would never get for themselves). Gifting from a wishlist - or gifting gift coupons or the likes - is wrong though, it is way too shallow to be appropriate for a festival that celebrates strong friendships
There are more activities that can be done, some of which require the tamaranean abilities or are rather rough, but these are the most common ones.
What does this mean for your blog? Well, if we’re mutuals (if you’re reading this on my sideblogs then please remember that I follow back from @starfirechan and not from here), I understand that as permission to maybe have my tamaranean come into your inbox, wishing to celebrate it with you. If this ever bothers you but you still wish to keep following me, please tell me that you do not like this and I will make a note to keep you out of this. Please also see this as an open invitation to have your muse come to my askbox (or tag me in a post if you prefer) and show the wish to celebrate Blorthog with my tamaraneans.
I’d prefer it if there is a sort-of logical explanation for why your character knows of the tamaranean festival. - If they have any kind of relationship with Starfire (maybe except enemies), it makes sense that she could have explained the festivity and it’s date in some talk they had “off-screen” (or even in a RP). - Blackfire would never talk much about her home planet or the festivals there though, so it’s highly unlikely you would learn about it from her (your muse could have learned about it through someone else though and like ‘confront’ her with it or something!), and - Wildfire has been told of the date, but he only remembers little bits and pieces of the actual festivity; he has learned more about it from Starfire last year and so he now is at least a bit prepared to celebrate it with his friends, but he still wouldn’t talk to them about the day before it comes as he doesn’t feel like he knows enough to explain it well. - Moonshot isn’t exactly the biggest talker, so while he definitely values tamaranean festivities he probably would not have explained it to anyone unless directly asked about it in some way. As for celebrating it, he does so with the tamaranean festivities whenever he can - but there aren’t really people that he would actually call friends, here yet (unless counting Starfire of course). - Starlight doesn’t care much about tamaranean traditions or festivities, so it’s unlikely she would explain it to anyone, or celebrate it. - Galfore… I mean, he is on Tamaran, he wouldn’t leave the planet on a celebration as common and known and valued on Tamaran as Blorthog. It is possible that he told other muses about the date beforehand, but he probably wouldn’t know of the exact earthen date for it; and what he might do to actually celebrate it with people from Earth is limited to talking through the communication systems of the Titans - or of course your muse comes to Tamaran but I assume that’s unlikely.
There are of course other ways your muses could have learned about it, and I’m open to those. But if e.g. an ‘ordinary human’ with no previous contact to anything alien related whatsoever suddenly knows all of Blorthog I just don’t think I could enjoy it that much.
I wasn’t sure if I wanna do it, but I thought it’s a nice gesture to do it, so like last year, I will approach some people through their asks. I won’t do that for many since I feel like Blorthog-threads usually are rather boring and die down quickly, and (assuming the other person answers the ask) when I offer a continuation of the thread, I’ll try to mention that right away in the tags too in a way to explain that I don’t mind if we not continue it. Please be aware that I can’t reach everyone, it is easy to miss out on a blog and I also will not bother anyone that isn’t active currently. I’ll only pick a few whom I send stuff to, and it has to make sense to me how my muses find yours and meet them and the likes, but as I said above, you’re free to send me something for Blorthog as well! Don’t feel sad if you don’t get any ask from me, I most likely either have a good explanation for it, or missed you when going through my list of mutuals.
Oh, and one more thing! This celebration also means that I will try to focus on that. Not entirely, I will see to get at least some replies done too, but my focus on such a day will be on asks/replies/threads about the “holiday” that currently is. And for the next week or so, Blorthog-related threads will be handled prioritized over others. Not to mention I’ll be terribly nervous for at least half the day because of sending stuff to people.
I think that’s all I need to explain; if there are any questions, always feel free to come into my inbox and ask me! All the threads or (IC-)posts related to Blorthog will (on my blogs) be tagged with: #I Wish You A Happy Blorthog!

Clementine was already getting use to the tamaranean holiday. So when Starfire showed up, the doll immediately raised her arms towards her for a celebratory hug.
Tumblr media
“Happy Blor-hog day, Miss Starfire! I made you a gift, I made you a gift!” She sang.
Happily returning the hug, Starfire smiled widely at Clementine.
Tumblr media
“Oh, you did? How glorious! I am most curious!” She had a necklace again for Clementine, of course, but that would be able to wait a few moments longer.

She must’ve left really early today. By the time Moonshot arrived at the Tower, Starfire was already not home anymore (he had asked). So here he was, having refused the offer to come inside, standing at the shore and staring out onto the water, likely for hours to come. Sure, he could just leave the necklace for her and leave, or go searching for her, but he wasn’t going to risk missing her, and not handing it over himself would be way too unpersonal. In his hands, he was holding a simple necklace made of purple beads, and he started to fumble with it while he kept standing here.

“Kori!” Wally smiled brightly as he saw her coming towards him and an even bigger smile when he saw the necklace.
Tumblr media
Grinning like an idiot, he nodded at her. “I sure do! In fact, I even got something for you as well!” With that he got out a necklace of his own as well, thought it looked a bit worse for the wear but he had done his best and as well as he had remembered the one from last year.
“Happy Blorthog!”
She giggled happily when he seemed very cheerful about the day already, too, and had a necklace ready too! “Oh, how glorious!”
Tumblr media
And since no explanations were needed as he already knew of the celebration, Starfire then moved in to gently place the necklace around Wally’s neck. “May...” Hmm... maybe she should think of wishings to accompany the necklace-giving beforehand, too; sometimes it was getting a little difficult to come up with good things. “May your travels all be most wonderful and may the danger you encounter never be too harmful!”

[[ @featherchan | Continued from here. (And here’s a link to my info-post about Blorthog in case you haven’t seen it)]]
Silverwing was working out when she was suddenly approached by Wildfire. He looked different. Shown clearly on his expression. He looked happy, bubbly and excited. That it even make her smile. “Not really…” Being just a rookie for a good few months. She has rarely spent time with Starfire or the Titans, beside her training and patrol. “What is the festival about? And sure…” Agreeing to celebrate along with him. He was her best friends after all.
It would mean a lot more effort that she didn’t know of Blorthog. But that was okay, she was one of his friends and he wanted to celebrate the festival of friendship with the wonderful friends he made here on Earth, so some explaining certainly wasn’t going to stop him.
“Blorthog is, cell-... festi-val for friends! Friendship! It is... we do, ch...” He couldn’t remember the word - even though he had told it to himself a good amount of times before leaving for visiting his friends, oh why was it so hard to learn a language? - so he reached into the bag he was carrying.
Tumblr media
“We give...” For a moment he didn’t continue the sentence, until he located one of the necklaces he carried and took it out - silver, slight noise-making beads as it was the common pick - holding it up to symbolize the word for it as he couldn’t think of it, “to friend, with good say. And we... we, we... ‘hang out’? With friend.” That was still a rather new term for him so he said it with a very questioning tone. “Blorthog is for not lose friend. For know good of friendship, know care for friend.” Starfire could explain this a lot better, there was no doubt about that, but Wildfire tried as good as he could.

Terra had been busy scrolling through the TV channels but until now, hadn’t found anything interesting. She had just turned the TV off when she heard Star’s voice and sh got up with a smile of her own. “What? It’s really Blorthog already? I should really make a memo to myself about the date,” she said a little excited before returning the hug.
Tumblr media
“Of course I do…and I remember what happened the last time. How about we do something together? I mean like all of us?” she asked, already wondering what they could do.
But the most important thing was that it had to be fun - from the start!
“Yes, it is today!” She quickly confirmed with a nod. Starfire would never forget Blorthog! It was too important of a festivity to her, probably more important than any other tamaranean celebration. But she didn’t mind her friends not being aware of it - it was a tamaranean tradition, after all, and she wasn’t perfect with earthen traditions either.
“That is a wonderful suggestion! Perhaps we can first gather for the togetherness and sharing of cake, and then do some physical activity of friendly competition!” First off, though, something else should be done, and since she now knew that Terra remembered the festivity, the tamaranean took out a necklace to place it around her friend’s neck.
Tumblr media
“May you always be content and never saddened, and may all of your explorings of locations be pleasing!”
