Being a Fae's broodmare might no be so bad, they probably be more then happy to give you whatever you want (except for freedom) if you agree to be their happy little breeding toy. I bet they can even make sure you don't experience any of the bad side effects of pregnancy, even labor would be easy, and they'd ensure you bounce back right after so they can stuff you with another baby.

Just imagine it, spending your days cockwarming your fae partner as your pampered and praised endlessly. They like to show you off too, how happy you are to be breed and how many children you've given them.

I think they’d do anything to keep you happy and healthy, in the way we treat pets - just with more power and magic. And how can you be a good broodmare and keep on bearing their children when you’re traumatized by the pains of pregnancy and child birth? (Not to mention that they simply can’t stand the thought of you experiencing so much pain- you’re simply too cute for that, no?) You’ll never have to worry about that - they keep you nice and safe, you’ll go through as little discomfort as possible. But I can see some fae, especially the more whimsical ones, keeping you fully aware for a birth or two as punishment - it all depends on your captor, in the end... Some spirits I grew up with a pretty volatile and downright mean, even a wrong look could throw them off 🤭

But I prefer how Sansûkh handles them, over what any Everyone-Lives-AU can offer (just because I don't want to throw away LOTR storyline and like some suffering I suppose, and Thorin needed a few decades of therapy before getting into a relationship xD). But it doesn't mean I don't like these AUs ☝️ And I haven't read enough stories to know/remember of more headcanons I am afraid. Sorry for this awkward answer, brain bad 😵‍. But hopefully some headcanonny things are seen through my art.
