Aaaa thank you!! As far as my plans on creating my own AUs of the Daycare attendant, I currently have three! you can find more pieces of these AUs scattered about in my blog.

Planetary AU --------------- I first concepted and created this AU when Security Breach first came out. It's mainly if Sun and Moon were these surreal celestial beings that traversed the land to bring night and day. Though it has been a while since I've drawn them, I do still want to get back into it and draw more of this AU.

Give me a sign, Under the surface/Mer! AU ------------------------------------------------- You might have already seen it floating around but it's where Y/N stumbles upon Sun and Moon and they communicate by using sign language!

The last one you won't be able to find as it has been in secret for a while. but I’ll show you a lil snippet of it.

Sightless ----------- It's not necessarily an AU per say, but it's more of a ‘What if’ scenario in my own interpretation. It takes place before the events of Security Breach and is a touching story about how the DCA interacts with a blind child named Julia for the first time. I have a whole story thats been in the works for 2 years now and I'm desperately trying to fully finish it.

Chill's ramblings about the DCA fandom and personal feelings and issues towards TSAMS (both positive an negative):

(I'm writing this like an essay but treating it like a diary, so if I jump from subject to another, it is because I am just typing as the thoughts hit my head. Sorry for being so wordy.)

I simply feel like I need to write my thoughts down, so why not share them with you. Maybe you can validate my feelings or something, I don't know.

Intro:

So, oof, I got a fic rec from @thedenofravenpuff and I'm loving it so much I really wanna draw fan art for it...

But the problem is that it's a TSAMS fanfic and I've sworn to my name I'll never draw anything related to the show because that will make me engage with a part of the fandom I'm not comfortable with.

My biggest issue with TSAMS:

I have such complicated feelings towards the show and its fanbase and I do not wish to make my life and work more difficult because of it as it already is.

My own work and characters are already constantly being compared to TSAMS. When I first introduced Solar to my fic, he was constantly being referred to Eclipse from TSAMS. Now that the show had a character with THE SAME NAME, it has been even worse.

Dolldrop Moon has been compared to Lunar. Even though the dolldrops existed before the youtube channel was even created (and Lunar made his debut much later).

The biggest issue I've had has always been the fanbase, that takes the show as the canon for Sun and Moon from FNAF and uses it as an excuse to harass shippers like me because they think Sun and Moon are brothers.

I've first handedly seen the damage the fanbase has done to some of my friends who draw, or have previously drawn art for the show besides their own AUs and personal headcanons of Sun and Moon as lovers. I'm sorry to tag you, but @kriimhild and @fablekitty : I've seen how the immature side of the show's fans have treated you, I am so terribly sorry you've had to defend yourselves over and over again for things that were not meant to be mixed up.

I have posted some ideas of a possible Animutant Moon and Sun forming a polyamorous relationship with Solar in the future of "My Dear Daffodil" on my personal/adult Twitter account. Someone kept commenting on my posts that I was glorifying incest, because Sun and Moon were brothers and Solar was their cousin.

The post had "Animutant" in it. Not "TSAMS". These comments came from a person saying they were 19 in their profile. So it's not just kids who can't tell not every fanwork is about TSAMS. It's starting to be some adults too.

Vice versa I've had another person comment on my very clearly SFW Twitter how they're following me because I am an adult artist who draws TSAMS incest. I have never drawn TSAMS art. I ship Sun and Moon, but they're never related with family bond, because I love presenting them as lovers.

Why I ship Sun and Moon:

Because I am a hopeless romantic. I love romantic love. Every single story I write is always about love.

The only exception to this is the Poppy Playtime comic I am doing. But even then, I was originally planning for a romantic love between Dogday and the Player. Yet, I decided to leave it, and keep the relationship open for any type of representation the reader themselves will prefer.

I used to watch The Sun and Moon Show when it first started airing. I loved their playthroughs. I had a big distaste for them calling each other brothers, as well as some of the first "lore" videos they had. My biggest issue at the time was how Moon treated Sun, though. As someone who grew up with an abusive sibling, it sometimes just hit a bit too hard at home.

But it got better after Eclipse and Lunar appeared. Moon was more caring, and I started to really like his character development. There was one episode where Sun explained to Lunar that he and Moon had simply just "decided" to be brothers, despite not having a canonical relationship.

This actually made me really happy. Because the Old Moon was aroace, the love he felt was simply never meant to be romantic, but platonic. And by making Sun his brother by choice clearly indicated that Sun was always the one he loved the most - in a way that was suitable for aromantic person like him.

And it really made me enjoy the show for a while. Sun is my favourite character, and despite not always liking the way the show presents him, I always feel so much love for him, no matter the AU he is in. So I loved that Moon loved him more than anything, even if it was just platonic. Because I've always been under the impression that the canon Moon loves Sun, and is only under a virus to protect him. For me, the best part of any Sun and Moon AU is to know that Sun is the most important thing to Moon.

Why I stopped watching TSAMS:

And then that Moon I had really started to like, who loved Sun more than anyone else but just platonically, died.

It hurt so much I simply stopped watching the show. I've watched a few episodes here and there after that, but I am having a hard time liking the show the same as I did before.

Partially it's because of the fanbase. Partially it's because I don't find the lore very interesting and some of the stuff a bit repetitive. Partially it's because I am scared to see Sun eventually crumble up into madness, because he has been through so much.

I like the New Moon. He is funny and nice, what I've seen. His relationship with Solar has been interesting, and I genuinely hoped they would've been able to take the romantic route after Moon said he wasn't sure if he was aroace anymore. But as I said, I've only watched a few episodes after the old Moon died, so I don't know either of their characters that much to form any strong opinions about them. I just listen to the Monty and Puppet podcast once in a while and get a little inside to some of the lore that has been happening.

But hey, at least there's fanfics. Which is why I am rambling here today.

Fanfics:

It is a rare treat to find Sun x Moon fanfics that aren't simply just porn, or do not include reader inserts. So since my romance-filled brain needed something to fill the void, I've started reading some TSAMS fics with romance (that wasn't between Sun & Moon) and plot in them.

I know Solar was settled to be a "cousin" to the weird family tree of TSAMS. But I simply crave for Solar and New Moon to be at least queerplatonic. Solar is not from their dimension, no matter how much they decide they're 'cousins' it doesn't make him their real cousin or relative because they're not from the same world.

Sun and Moon are brothers but they technically gave birth to Eclipse, who then created Lunar so Eclipse is technically Lunar's parent and then brother and Lunar is Sun and Moon's brother and... do you see what I'm trying to say?

The family tree is so complicated that I don't think I'm a horrible person for shipping Moon and Solar and reading fics about them. Tell me if I am wrong though.

The FIC that is making me question everything:

So Puffy recommended this fic by @theinfamousdoctorf , "Eclipse Meets His Match".

I'm currently on chapter 40, and I am genuinely surprised how much I am liking this fic so far. It got everything; redemption and character growth, the representation of Sun as the good, glowing angel he is in my mind (for canon, and every AU. He is always perfect in my eyes I love him can you tell lol), slow-burn romance, drama, excitment, plot, jokes and funny moments... even if there are a lot of mentions of sex and sexual pleasure, it doesn't feel out of the place as there is so much more to it too.

Eclipse's redemption to become better and realising he is in love with Sun has been so interesting to follow. Sun deserves the love. I love when Sun is getting loved. I literally ship him with every other animatronic in the games and love it when people ship him with their self-inserts and OCs. Because I love him so much I want him to be loved in every possible universe he is in.

Even bigger bonus to this fic is the second pairing, Solar and Moon, which I already opened up about above. I don't know how much the fic is truthful to the canon lore of the show, but I wish to pretend this fic is the canon now /hj.

I love the characters and how they're written. I love the descriptions of their flaws and hopes and dreams. How vulnerable they can get. How closely they stick together. And as an appreciation for making me tearful and excited about fanfiction in such a long time, I would hope to be able to gift the author some fan art for their fic.

But I've sworn to not draw anything for the show. For my own good. I've got too many awful comments already from the fans of the show despite never doing any art for it. I am just scared it will turn things worse.

End words:

I don't know if creating a new alias would be the right choice. So my main name/account would be spared from the confusion that the show's fans seem to stirr into, where one tsams artwork turns all of the artist' work into tsams.

I don't care if the art style would be recognisible. The artist would be me, but not PixelChills. Just so I could gift something to the author of this fic that is currently saving me from the boredom of being unable to write my own.

Except I don't eat cheesecakes and milkshakes anymore. I'm afraid to feel this once familiar taste. She left us in January, when all the streets were filled with snowflakes. The strangest thing is that I never saw her in my dreams while I was sleeping. Perhaps this is a special sign that she told me everything she had to say. I will never forget her dress in which she was buried. My girl, I still remember you and your voice to the sound of the guitar, echoing within the walls of the children's hospital. I soothed my grief by drawing, and I am very glad that I stumbled upon the dca fandom on tumblr, where I saw the work of my favorite artists to this day. Now I am calmed by your creativity and your likes, guys. Thank you, especially to @chlorenw so much for reposting my drawings. You are gradually saving me from my grief. I love you all.

hisnudnsjd hi! I'm a big fan of your art and your aus and I love the asthetic of your blog!! I used to really love nature when I was a kid and I had more of a chance to be outside, and it reminds me of that a lot.

I also really love all your sun x moon stuff, since I feel like a lot of people either hate on the ship or are too scared to post about it since the backlash people give- and all the things you make are really cute and pretty and I love your artstyle!! It's so soft (like round) and shaped!!

DCA Subnautica AU

Version #2 of the designs, including the bioluminescence! + fun tidbits on each of the goobers and a visual on Y/N!

Eclipse is up first!

Theirs was the first design I drew out in any detail (as shown in the crude MS Paint drawing), so it's the one that needed the most work. Even after making the more detailed version with the lights, I still ended up changing things as I got a better grasp on what direction I wanted to head in. Fun lore tidbit! Eclipse is a freak of nature and should not look like that! They're properly split down the middle between day and night. Also I messed it up in the drawing because I was tired when I made it, but they're also covered in scars and bite marks.

Sun !!

I did Sun next, and here I had a better idea for what I was going for. There were still a few problems with this design though, which got changed. This is also where I started drawing the pattern on the tail, which I felt looked weird in this picture. Fun tidbit! Sun has an inability to express his feelings in the appropriate fish mermaid way, leading to much confusion.

Moon !!

Moon was done last. Once again, I learned from this drawing and changed Moon's design to match, however Moon is the one that remains the most unchanged! I knew what I was going for by the time I got to him each time, so I guess that helped. Something I did alter, however, were some of the lights. I found that they either blended together too much or weren't as visible as I would have liked. Fun tidbit! This is pose actually based on a scene in one of the chapters. It was actually one of the earliest written scenes.

Y/N, my beloved <3

I did 2 versions of Y/N, one with longer hair and one with shorter. It was important for me, when writing the story, that I kept the person I'm imagining as vague as possible, with the only physical descriptions being "physically fit" and having a few scars (for plot reasons), so this is only for me and whatever drawings I do. As a result of trying to keep it vague, I ended up going with the shorter hair (though in the final reference I made it a bit longer than shown here). Fun tidbit! The green is because whenever I'm sketching, I have 4 colours I sketch in to differentiate parts of the picture (usually background vs foreground or different people), and green was the one I used here (red, blue and purple were taken, I'm sure you can understand why). It ended up sticking, since I didn't want to go with the orange that's on Ryley's suit in order to avoid possible confusion.

In this au Sun and Moon are not brothers. They're neighbors and very good buddies, knowing each other for a very, very long time. Take care for each other, help one another to protect their lands and everything that lives in there from greedy, cruel and disrespectful humans...

Vodník is a Czech term for the water spirit. In English it's Vodyanoy or this is what I found

As for Hejkal, this one is a bit tricky because I think there probably is not any proper English term or I just didn't find any. And there is also that for some people Hejkal and Leshy are two different creatures and for others it's the same. So in this au Sun can be referred as both. I used features from both anyway

So you can use either hejkal or leshy for Sun and vodník or vodyanoy for Moon

And if you can't remember any of these then just call them tree Sun and frog Moon

Now how am I gonna call this au hhmmmm?... I think I shall call it

Some personal notes:

Man ngl I struggled with Sun's design. With Moon I knew how I want him but with Sun... I mean since he's a shapeshifter I can literally draw him however I want and gave him countless forms and it could be considered as canon XD but I'm talking about his representative look, the look he will be seen most of the time. In the end I think I managed, for now at least

I will draw better refs for them, some other time...

How does you're au work?

The Security and Staff AU is based around four characters: Sun, Moon, Staff-san, and Security-san. Sun and Moon were originally theater animatronics, performing for kids in the pizzaplex's theater, before being reprogrammed to Daycare Attendants (based off of the FNAF books). Staff-san is the daycare staff and Security-san is the nighttime security guard. When Sun and Moon were reprogrammed to DCA it was up to Staff and Security to teach them the ropes of their new job (Staff-san teaching Sun and Moon how to take care of the kids and Security-san teaching Moon how to patrol the pizzaplex at night). They then work together with each other from then on out. When it comes to the glitch, Moon gets the glitch when they get reprogrammed into the DCA. Between Moon and Sun, Moon's coding is the one that changes the most. As performers, Sun played the hero/protagonist, always 'coming to the rescue from the evil Moon', making kids smile and happy; while Moon played the villain/antagonist, always coming up with a new 'evil scheme', making kids scared or sad, etc. Although he's always been a little gremlin, he had never harmed a kid and he knew if he scared them too much he'd let Sun out to cheer them up. He was kinda like a Disney villain, evil but still kid friendly (he also had some banger villain songs). Moon goes from scaring the kids to caring for the kids and this drastic change in coding is what causes the glitch. The glitch doesn't effect him immediately, its very slow progressing, like a disease, until it fully takes control over him. Certain outside forces can cause the glitch to become stronger or weaker. Instead of writing this AU out like on AO3 (cause I'm terrible at writing) I've been drawing the storyline out and posting them here. Since I just started this, I'm still in the earlier stages of the story where Sun and Moon are still trying to get use to their new jobs and work partners, and Moon's glitch hasn't fully taken effect yet (which is why in most of my comics so far Moon has been on the softer side). Although every now and then I'll get a small off-shoot comic idea or someone sends in an ask that fits better with a post-incident Moon and I'll post those comics as well. I know that probably makes things a lot more confusing to read and I'll probably make a google doc or something with the comics in chronological order, but there is a quick way to tell what stage Moon is in with his glitch based off of his eye color. I made a small little thing here (Phases of the Moon) that is just a brief overview of Moon's character development (I do plan on making one for Sun too). His eye color tells you where in the story this takes place: Blue Irises: Pre-glitch/Theater days Red Irises: Glitched/Pre-incident Red eyes: Fully glitched/The incident/Triggered One black One red: Glitched/Post-incident

I'm a big fan of practically all of the dca/reader ones and when I see your posts it inspires me to draw/write sometimes. I just wanted to ask if you're ok with it, given that it would look completely different since I use traditional drawing and not digital

Listen. Listen to me. If you made fanart for any of my silly lil au’s??????? I would love u until the end of time. I will keep it and hang it on my wall and carve ur name into my tombstone. Any time someone makes something based on my aus I almost explode out of happiness. I cried once bc someone made a bunch of art based on my fic and I stared at it for an embarrassing amount of time. I will walk to the ends of the earth for u. I would kill one whole entire human person for u. I will love u until the sun explodes and then love u some more u til the sun dust makes a whole new sun.

And by that I mean YES IT IS ABSOLUTELY OKKAY AND IM NORML ABT PPL FEELING INSPIRED TO CREATE BY MY CREATIONS

I'm basically recycling an idea I had for a mer DCA AU because I found out there's something like 4 AUs (at least) that have a young reader meeting baby mers who are smaller than them, only to grow up and become way bigger than them. So have baby DJ meeting a young reader and being childhood friends. They learn to communicate somewhat, and the reader gives him the name DJ for...reasons I have not decided yet. (Either his chittering as he says his name sounds roughly like 'DJ' in English or his chittering is musical so the reader gives him a music themed name.)

I want to color that right pic at some point, he turned out so little and squishy and floofy!! ;w; I imagine him being rather timid. Maybe the reader rescued him from some sort of trap or predator or something?

For whatever reason, the reader moves away from the forest DJ lives in. They return as an adult, and wander through the forest they used to play in as a kid.

As you walk, you can't help but feel a little silly. It...can't have been real, right? There aren't spiders the size of cats just wandering the woods, right? People would know about that. Logic tells you you must have imagined it. Things were pretty rough back then...your therapist already told you it was a coping mechanism. But still. You'd be remiss if you didn't at least spend some time back here. If DJ is real, though, would you be able to find him? Is he even still around? How long did his kind live? It seemed like he was young, like you at the time. You wonder if he's gotten any bigger. You smile weakly at the thought. You hope so. He was such a nervous little thing...

...Ah.

I also think at some point, when they were kids, the reader gave DJ a tophat (and maybe headphones) to be goofy. DJ still has them, though of course he's long outgrown them. I haven't decided if the reader is afraid of DJ when they meet again, but if they are, DJ still having the old hat and headphones they gave him when they were kids will probably do a lot to solve that. :3

I basically only have one way to draw actual spider DJ but I keep changing how his feets and hands look. I wonder if I should do more to make my three actual spider DJ AUs more unique?

Using Fazbear's new, cutting edge ai learning technology of playing matching card games, you're tasked to figure out how to bring the Daycare back into working order by helping the daycare attendants settle into their new roles - Reader gets assigned to deal with whatever the fucks going on with the Daycare Attendant and hopefully get them into working order so that the Daycare area can have it's grand re-opening. Shenanigans ensue'
