So I recently watched "Help I'm a Fish" and I realized, much to my amusement, the villain has quite a bit in common with Bob from "Earthworm Jim".

They're both unusually intelligent fish with delusions of grandeur.

They both have a big, dimwitted, right-hand flunky who would normally be higher on the food chain.

They both have used special means to artificially increase the intelligence of normal fish in order to amass minions.

They both turn themselves into humans at some point.

And they both have common, unassuming names despite their grandiose ambitions and immense egos. ("Bob" and "Joe")

Given all they have in common, I'd like to think that if they were to somehow meet they'd get along swimmingly. lol

I made this a while back but felt like coloring it, I think I was also curious how coloring over some pencil shading would look. (Demon rat came from an old screeching woman who threw a shoe at him)

I was thinking about similarities and differences between these two and I couldn’t resist Jay being called silly rat lmao, I will never get sick of him being called a rat. I took some liberties from the movie where Fly says “Hey Chuck check out this silly fish”

Curious observation that adds nothing onto this discussion, but is fascinating to me:

All the animated movies that do the "turned into an animal against my will" trope with white characters are 1) never Disney (Sword in the Stone doesn't count) and 2) all star blondes???

Robyn is the only one who's blondeness I guess didn't transfer over to her wolf form, which is weird cuz I thought blonde wolves exist but okay...

At least I have the comfort of knowing if I turn into a fish my hair will still be there, thanks animation.

Fun fact: Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad & Chuck from Help! I'm A Fish share the same actor.

That would've been interesting trivia if I had seen the movie in English.

I think I'm one of the few people out there who has seen "Help! I'm A Fish" and even briefly remembers Alan Rickman as a Joker Fish.

Here I drew Joe (the Main Antagonist of The Film) as a Human (in my own way), along with his own counterpart (who is actually a Pilot Fish based on his species. From what I've looked up, Pilot Fishes are not actually Purple, just Black and White).
