okay but here’s why I actually straight up started crying towards the end there.

when the Hells first arrived in Uthodern, the atmosphere was fear.  the city was dark.  temples were closing their doors.  the center for knowledge, where so many people came for answers, did not have knowledge.  did not have answers.  people were scared.  scared that they couldn’t find help, scared that they couldn’t reach out to loved ones, ask if they are okay.

and suddenly, within their very walls, within their homes, a horrible beast sprouted forth from the heart of the city.  there was death, there was destruction.  there was despair.  because if their own home wasn’t safe, then nowhere was.

the darkness was winning.

then a woman with purple hair and odd markings spoke into the captain of the guard’s mind and told him that things were better.  things were okay.  and he believed her.  because what else could he do but to cling to hope?

because that’s what the Hells brought with them, as this terrifying celestial beast that once brought death now steps out, wearing a peach bow, surrounded by the radiance and light that the city so sorely needed.  he is guarded by such an odd group, but they all exude calm.  there is a small gnome wearing a pink handknit sweater riding on its back.

they guide this noble, beautiful beast through an entire city, and the whole time they are showcasing to everyone that the darkness is not winning.  not now.  not while there is still hope kindling in our hearts.  not while ancient beasts can once again see the stars.

the world may be ending, but it hasn’t ended yet.

not if Bells Hells can help it.

Yesss, and it'd make sense considering what I know of both of them and their faces being the badges.

I also considered say Ultra Magnus and Starscream as the TICs?

How funny would it be if Starscream's same assassination routine existed but this time it's focused at Soundwave because he's who is in charge

I also imagined Orion and Megatronus in the situation as warborn, meaning this is the first time they've known peace and it's a ~thing~

I just think exploring that factor in tfa of there being such a harsh cultural boundary between autobots and decepticons would be interesting with these two, but with the pre-series tfp vibes we get of "When we were both young and dumb🥰" that I see in many fics like in Tarnian Slip

Soundwave and Prowl would make interesting leaders of the autobots because I've definitely thought about the former if he was the leader of the decepticons, because he's arguably the most Decepticon-y decepticon there is. Tarn might have the mask and slathered himself purple, but that's after the fact. The faction is damn built upon Soundwave in several continuities. Prowl makes a fascinating leader of the autobots thanks to his specialty in strategy, rather than things such as pure strength or charisma. Prowl in this scenario tends to make good choices far, far more often than he does not, and I'm very much integrating mode fandom!g1 Prowl here because I can. But also because I love his character quite a bit.

My hc for angels “falling” (ie after losing the Father’s Light) is not really about them being fallen angels at all, it’s just their final stage of life before they die

they sort of burn out. features turn ghostly and their colors change in their final hours.

in Gabriel’s case, his armor shifts to Yuriel’s colors, and if she fell, her armor colors would change to his

if i had a nickel for every time Team Uthodern encountered an incredibly dangerous and deadly creature in the home of somebody important, pacified said creature somehow and made them temporarily peaceful and non-threatening but only for one hour, and then guided said creature to the gates of the city with the intention of setting it free to wander the wilds outside, simultaneously causing a ruckus amongst the people they pass while doing this, all the while another member of their team stays behind and loots shit that isn't actually theirs, I'd have two nickels.

Which isn't a lot, but it's absolutely BIZARRE that it happened twice.
