It’s been quite a while since Law has found himself in the Grand Admiral’s office. Either that means Sengoku has been too busy to bother with keeping an eye on his wild card of a grandson’s antics, or Law has actually been managing to keep himself in check. He is hoping the last part. Although, his work doesn’t necessarily allow him to fit in nicely with the other Marines. They look at him with suspicion and sometimes fear. Whispers of his unsavory methods in the halls of Headquarters as he passes.
Not that Trafalgar Law cares. All that matters to him are the results and damn is he doing good work. More and more corrupt officials are finding themselves getting imprisoned. Sure, there are some that have gotten free. Individuals too big for his evidence to stick, but it’s something and Law is feeling rather proud of his recent catch.
So why is he pacing instead of sitting across from Sengoku at the shogi board? Oh right, the unsavory methods.
“The good news is; I got the fucker,” Law says, pausing in his agitated pacing long enough to glance at the board.
He leans over, moving a bishop piece a few diagonal spaces. The Vice Admiral straightens, spinning on his heel to once again continue his pacing. His hand rises, tattooed fingers moving to scratch at his side burns and jaw tightening. There is an instance of tension, the young man figuring he is about to get a scolding. Not that such a thing could truly dampen his rebellious nature. He will continue to do what he thinks is necessary, even if the only people he looks up to disapprove.
“Bad news; I cut out his lungs and filled them with water until he agreed to tell me what I wanted to know,” Law states, turning enough to meet Sengoku’s gaze. “He did deserve it though. The guy was gettin’ rich off of people smuggling.”

the navy absolutely do not want to let go of garp because, yes, he's an incredibly powerful soldier. Even as an old man, he remains a more than capable fighter. But above all is for his legacy. His accomplishments throughout his 50+ year career makes him legendary. THE Navy Hero. Losing Garp would be a massive moral blow to the Marines and the public who rely on the Marines. The World Government dislike Garp's work ethics and opinions, but they know that if they want to keep face, they need him. They refuse to let him go.

I was thinking about hof last night, as one does, and I was thinking it would be really cool to see Sean's perspective on his parents. The way they are with each other and how different his mom is on the job. But has he even seen her on the job? Does he know how fierce she can be? Does he know that she's killed people? Sean says he wants to be a Marine like his dad but what about his mother's influence? She's dedicated to justice and helping people, at the expense of her own family sometimes. +
Tumblr media
🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 thank you so much for this!!! I love Sean Stabler with my whole heart 🤣🤣🤣
This is one of the things where I wish I could spend even more time in the hof verse - but I won't bc I do want to write other things eventually - bc you're right that is a cool concept.
I have written Liv kinda trying to keep her job away from her family, but Sean has seen Liv at work now. He knows, to some extent, what she does. And now he knows what she's been thru with Lewis. She's absolutely impacted his worldview and his perspective on his mom could be really cool to dig into

@ikkaku-of-heart
💋 (Mika kisses please!)
💋 FIRST FIVE IN MY INBOX RECEIVE A KISS (4/5)
Tumblr media
It’s definitely not a reassuring period. The news dropped in the national paper that Trafalgar Law betrayed the Navy and revoked his title of Warlord to make an alliance with the Straw Hats. Even if the world is shattered with that sudden betrayal, Mika can’t help but think about his friendship with a certain member of the Heart. He doesn’t know how Ikkaku is handling the news, or if she was aware of her captain’s plan in the first place, but he wants to be certain she’s alright. He doesn’t know very well his feelings for her, nor the fact there’s always a heavy point within his guts whenever they meet, but this time, it feels different. This time he’s truly worried about her, and the upcoming events during their lives. Many marines have seen how good friends they are… Many of them will start to have suspicions.
Tumblr media
Docking on a very small and unknown island, Mika is facing Ikkaku, looking around to be certain that no one is here to spy on them. He’s taking a risk now, to sail the seas and find her, somehow spitting at the face of his commanders regarding his loyalty. However, for Ikkaku, he doesn’t care to be seen as a traitor, quite the contrary, at least he’s following his heart.
“Take this.” Mika says, while he slides a blank piece of paper in her hand. “It’s my vivre card. If you ever need my help, you can follow it, and you’d find me. I don’t consider us as enemies, even if the world government is probably not really okay with that.”
He offers one of his solar smiles, trying his best to reassure her. A moment of pause, of silence, and Mika leans down to press his lips against her cheek. He wouldn’t dare to kiss her lips, even if he wishes to, because he believes she only sees him as a friend or a brother, and he doesn’t want to break that image in her head. It’s not worth it after all. He deepens it for a second, before he takes a step backward, putting his captain coat back around his shoulders. “Trust me, Iku. I’d always be an ally for you.”

A   :   AFFECTION. how does your muse show affection?
Elliot is protective by nature, and that's exactly how he shows affection, by being a protector. By going to great lengths to ensure that the people he loves, and the people who deserve justice are always safe. He isn't exactly well verse at expressing himself, save for the few people he actually trust enough for him to open up and speak the truth in his heart but he had always been partial to the whole "Action speak louder than words." So that who he is, a shield, someone to acts in order to show how much he truly cares for the people in his life and the people he swore and oath to protect as a marine, as a police officer, as a human being.

Other Random Headcanons for this Political Verse:
Johnny Martin is Chief Justice of the Supreme Court b/c he will judge the hell out of you and not give your cases the time of day. No, seriously. Get that racist, homophobic, misogynist bullshit out of here.
Nix is a Senator from a long-line of Senators from New Jersey, except his father was a Republican and he said fuck that, and went Democrat and there’s been a rift ever since. He met Dick in the Senate and they became a powerhouse couple. He’s on the Senate Intelligence Committee now he’s the First Husband or whatever he’d be called.
Ron’s part of the Department of Defense, but like, one of the sane members and he’s always disagreeing with and doesn’t get along with his fellow Generals. Single-handedly got Don’t Ask-Don’t Tell overturned.
Harry’s the other Senator from Pennsylvania, but now that Dick’s President, he’s the senior Senator. Woman adore him because of his unapologetic love for his wife. Always introduces LGBTQ+ friendly legislature to the forefront (because he’s a great ally) and big on affordable education for everyone.
Luz is the White House Press Secretary. Everyone loves him. He’s out here making sure you’re having a good time and getting relevant, factual information.
Lip’s the Chief of Staff who everyone thinks is a cinnamon roll and will straight out gut you if you don’t get your shit together and do right by the American people.
Malarkey, Skip and Penkala are a gaggle of journalists that always show up to ask questions, write marvelous opinion pieces, scathing law reviews and generally be amusing, lovable, pains in the ass of every politician on Capitol Hill.
Web and Lieb are speech writers. It’s always WWIII in their office, but their speeches are a thing of beauty.
On the Marine Side - Eddie’s a Unicorn: an openly gay Southern Senator that actually wins his elections. Head of the Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee and member of the Investigations Subcommittee, met Andy in office and the rest is history.
Sledge is a junior Representative who Eddie and Andy take under their wings. Eventually becomes friends with Burgie (D-TX), Jay (D-CA) and Bill (D-NY) Very passionate about everything.
Leckie’s a Senator who has Opinions and is not afraid to voice them. Liberal and doesn’t give a fuck. Hoosier’s a reporter who is unfairly amused by this verbose idiot (Leckie’s kind of jealous that Hoosier gets to write for a living) and then realizes - to his horror - that he actually believes Leckie will change the world and finds all that indignation charming.
Snafu’s a jaded Representative (D-LA) and has basically only one fuck left to give until this doe-eyed Alabama guy shows up to heal his cracked heart with the power of love. And justice.

Rules & Muse List [One Piece]
Links: promo | ?
OOC Info // includes rules, contact info, rp status, and other blogs
this is a multi-muse blog mainly used interact with other (multi-muse) RP blogs, and to test out RP characters for the One Piece manga/anime.
the lists below contain canon OP characters I have RPed as before, these I will probably be more accurate with their portrayal. Usually it help that I’m a fan of them myself!
I have no RP experience with some of the muses listed, which will be stated. I will do my best to portray them though, just might need around a thread or two to get the hang of how I want to RP the muse!
Please specify which muse clearly in your ask/starter/mention. If not then I’ll probably go ask you to confirm, or assume it is a certain muse if it is obvious enough.
All romantic ships will be straight, and NSFW threads will be (mostly) vanilla, tagged and put under a ‘Read More’ appropriately. Feel free to contact/ask if you’re unsure or for specifics.
Anything containing (talking about) adult themes will be tagged under nsfw-ish, mostly for sinday things.
I am open to try requests and other male OP canons, as long as I have a good enough idea on the character, and that I find them interesting enough to RP. Can’t promise I’ll do the canon portrayal justice, but I’ll do my best!
this blog is OC friendly, however I will decline any requests that I find uncomfortable with, or don’t see (my version) of the canon muse doing.
I automatically turn asks into threads for the interaction opportunities, but there is no pressure to respond to them. Just let me know for clarity (like for dropping threads), I will not/ask if you rules state as such.
this optional but please send/IM me a ‘2op4u’ to show that you’ve read, thanks!

What if…? v. What if…? [ Another Timeline ]
What if…Aiden never deployed and lived a normal life up until the Revolution? Instead of enlisting he went to college and studied Criminal Justice and attended the Police Academy before working at Cyberlife as a security guard. He didn’t experience the trauma that he did if he would have enlisted so he is completely human.
During the revolution, his family evacuated to this grandparent's ranch but he stayed behind as peacekeepers or as many of them were known as Cyberlife’s clean up crew. He was very pro-android as he watched the revolution unfold and hated how the Androids were treated and rounded up like cattle at a slaughterhouse. So he and a few humans that were pro-androids did everything to help other deviants escape Cyberlife’s prosecution. He would easily allow the deviants to raid warehouses for parts and their fellow Androids that were in storage containers.
Much like Rose, he began to help many scared Androids that did not want to fight, escape to the south towards the ranch where many of them stayed sheltered.
Hoist the colors! v. Dead men tell no tells [ Pirate ]
Aiden was an Admiral to the Royal Navy’s The Conqueror. He was a loyal man to those pulling the string as he hunted pirate ships with little remorse. That was until he was betrayed by his own crew on orders of the crown for disobeying direct orders.
He was left for dead when his crew forced him to abandon ship with nothing but the clothes on his back. It wasn’t until hours later that he was picked up by a pirate ship. He was given a choice between living by their rules or dying and he chose to live. The Captain took him under his wing and he shed his past self as he became the very thing he once swore to hunt down.
When the current Captain passed he was given the role of Captain Barnes of The Howling Rift and all of her crew. He made the ship home as the crew accepted him in their little ragtime family. He soon became a force to be reckoned with as they sunk Navy ships, plunder Navy strongholds and pass the treasures out to those in need.
Dragon heart v. Heart of valor lend me your strength [ Dragon ]
Aiden was part of the Gentlefield clan of dragons, as the name states, he was a gentle dragon who was slightly slimmer and shorter than other dragons who were born to fight alongside the humans. He was barely out of his egg when an army of human soldiers and dragons stormed the village they protected and when the smoke cleared and the sun rose, he was the only one left.
The general took him among their ranks and gave him to one of the soldiers, the young human and dragon grew to form a bond that no other rider had and Aiden learned to fight, due to his slim structure he was fast and the details to his wings he flew at night and none of their enemies saw them coming.
Unfortunately, during one of these battles, he made a grave mistake that cost him his human’s life. Seeing what he did he fled from everything and secluded himself in the mountainside. He hordes colored glass and rocks that shine if the lights hit it just right.
God of War v. To the skies I raise my spear…onward to war [God verse]
Aiden is represented by the god of war, Ares from Greek mythology. Depending on what time period he is in he could have a few differences between how he is written. In the Ancient Greek times, he mostly hangs out in Sparta, he’s a player, and he bickers with Athena at any chance he gets. In a modern era, he’s similar to his main verse where he’s in the Marines but doesn’t carry the same trauma as his main verse. He loves to work out and to fool around when he’s not on the clock.
Secret Service v. The eagle has landed [ Secret Service ]
Aiden was still a Marine, still fought on Russian lands under the American flag, still had a small team of highly trained operative and they were still ambushed. The only difference is that he received his robotic prosthetics on American soil in a top-secret government program to enhance soldiers.
Aiden was given a job as a secret service agent and with his credentials, he rose to the rank of Head agent. He’s the president’s silent guardian as he protects their commander in chief with every fiber of his being.
When the Revolution happened, chaos erupted. The androids nationwide were in a panic. This verse could be in the line where Markus was peacefully leading until he’s killed. Desperate androids flooded the capital for help but among them were anti-human androids that wanted to rule them and enslave them like the humans did to them.
This is based on Olympus has Fallen where they’re on a lock-down in the White House. Aiden is alone as he fights against angry androids and trying to protect the president. This could go multiple ways, either they escape and they’re on the run or like the movies, he has to rescue the president from kidnappers.
Supernatural  v. Wolfsbane and a silver bullet [ werewolf ]

Single Dad v. Keep on fighting for you [ single dad ]
On one of his leaves back to the US he ran into an old friend of his, they were best friends until life drifted them apart. Morgan was her name and they had one night together before he left and life once again drifted them apart. This was before he met Ryan, He never thought that one night would give him another reason to fight the demons in his heart. He didn’t know about the child until he returned years later and there was a CPS agent holding a three-year-old in her arms.
The little girl was named Samantha and Aiden found out that Morgan had died in a car accident but she had left a letter to him explaining everything. Now he takes care of Riley and their new addition.  || X ||

[💀] - Marine Verse! Law gets to have Sengoku as a Grandfather from the age of 13. Imagine Sengoku teaching Law a strategy based game like Shogi and Law getting frustrated because Sengoku always wins. But as Law gets older he gets better at it until he's in his 20s and instead wins against Sengoku more than he loses. Just them having these intense Shogi games where both are thinking ten moves ahead and are trying to out play each other constantly.
Just Law and Sengoku bonding over their strategic brains.

『 background  ✗  antecedent of an era 』
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Born in the Foosha Village to negligent parents, Garp spent most of his childhood raised in the Midway Forest. From a young age he learned how to defend himself from the wildlife and took to it with stride. Confident and brazen even as a child, he unlocked his armament  ( and to a lesser extent, observation )  haki very early on. And though he didn’t know it had a name or what it was, really, he continued to train and refine it against the beasts of the land, happily bringing back his spoils to the village much to their chagrin, as well as protecting his home from the occasional invader or pirate.
He ended up joining the marines through happenstance when Commodore Kong’s ship stopped by the quiet island. Garp, age 16-17, took notice of the ship and decided to scout it for treasure  ( as one did ),  but ended up stumbling into a group of marines training instead. Intrigued at their precise movements, he challenged them to a fight and ended up victorious in every match. When the Commodore returned, he demanded to know what the deal was and, ultimately, invited Garp to join his ranks.
Without much better to do, he agreed.
He quickly fell in love with the concept of Justice, a fire fueled even further after meeting who’d become his life-long friends; Sengoku and Tsuru. They were the Navy prodigies in their strength, and Garp was proud to wear Justice on his back. He loathed pirates who pillaged and plundered and relished in protecting civilians, though it would take years before he’d be refined enough to avoid destroying as much as protected.
He viewed the Marines and the Government idealistically, but was vocal and furious of the darker parts of the system he stood for. His friends and colleagues prevented him from doing or saying anything rash, justifying it for the greater good. He never quite agreed, but he allowed himself forget about it in favor of focusing on the positives.
Rash, impulsive, disrespectful, yet strangely charismatic and stronger beyond any normal soldier despite lack of  ( and refusal to eat )  a devil fruit. He was both the worst and best soldier. Infuriating as he was loyal.
It isn’t really until the God Valley Accident where he started to mature a bit, defeating the worst pirates with pride and realizing the gravity of what his work was. It was there as well where he started to see the infamous Gol D. Roger in a different light and the rivalry between them that’d always been a bit too friendly for any marine and pirate becoming something he almost looked forward to. Chasing after Roger and the freedom he stood for like it were a game. A marine man, respecting a pirate. Disgraceful, and yet... he couldn’t help it.
At the same time, he began truly accepting the cold reality of the Government he was under. His disgust towards Celestial Dragons only intensified, blatantly refusing all the promotions that followed because the idea of protecting them again made him sick. His greatest accomplishment was marred with shame because of it.
The black and white view of the world he’d always held in stride became muddied, but he still stubbornly persevered and stayed headstrong, believing in the good of it all. With the newly christened title of hero he strove to make changes from the inside, preaching the Justice he believed in to those who admired him and wished to follow in his steps and maybe, just a little, skirting the laws to carry it out with the begrudgingly wider range of leniency he’d been given.

Romance Dawn Notes: Chapter 13 - Love & Prayer
You can read Romance Dawn I: Bearer of the Silver Flames, Chapter 13 - Love & Prayer here.
Where do I even begin with this chapter?
I guess I should start by saying that I was tempted to omit an author’s note altogether (even on Tumblr) to just let the mood sink in. But then I thought that some of you might wander here to find an explanation, so I’m writing this just in case.
To be clear, I’m not fully removing A/N’s on published chapters. It’ll be more or less like Chapter 12, where there’s a short note in the beginning/end, with Tumblr only meant to give a lengthier explanation for those who want more details. I just didn’t want to ruin the mood for Chapter 13.
I actually had to write several drafts for this note alone because it was so emotionally exhausting to write about Amare, and to make sure that I wasn’t spoiling anything major.
God, I miss her already.
There are actually two notes for this chapter. This is just explaining and clearing up what happened (which I don’t usually need to do, but this one’s an exception), and the next one will just be me, ranting about the usual.
So, Love & Prayer.
If you haven’t seen Amare’s death being foreshadowed from miles away, I don’t even know what to tell you. It’s probably not the way that you expected her to die, but I’ve built this up from the very start. I don’t normally spoil my own stories by leaving such obvious clues, but I did it for Amare because I really wanted everyone to know that she’s not a character who’s meant to be here for long.
Unfortunately, I can’t say much about who she is or what her intentions were because that will spoil everything, but I’ll talk a bit about how I created her in the second Romance Dawn Notes if anyone’s curious.
A quick recap of the chapter, in case you missed anything:
Falco wonders who Amare is, and I think we all have the same question as her. She’s definitely strange (even for me), but she has a weird attachment to Ace and Falco, from the day that the latter joined the crew.
I do apologize if the rescue mission wasn’t as good or as exciting as you expected it to be, especially to those who have been waiting since 2017 (or maybe even earlier). I’m not sure who came first between Carlos and Amare, but she was always destined to die during the rescue.
If the mission was confusing, it was basically supposed to be an infiltration (not a fight). Because Carlos is a relatively new member who became a vice-commander quite quickly, he doesn’t have a tattoo yet. If the Marines knew that he was part of the crew, that’d be grounds for execution (like what happens to Ace). Based on Jozu and Moire’s information, Ace betted that the Marines didn’t know Carlos was actually part of the crew and opted to just sneak in and fight their way out.
Unfortunately, we see that the Marines were several steps ahead. Despite being unknown pirates, the base executed five out of the six from Carlos’ platoon, using torture to extort information and finding out that they were indeed part of the Whitebeard Pirates.
Akainu then sets up a trap not just to defeat the Whitebeard Pirates, but to essentially cage Falco. Instead of heading to Enies Lobby or Marineford to launch a large-scaled battle, he betted that several important figures from the Whitebeard Pirates would come to Base 113, and they would be able to surround them there, where they’d obviously have the upper hand. They waited for the day that the Whitebeard Pirates would come, noticed Jozu and Moire’s infiltration, made it look like the base wasn’t well-guarded (so that the two wouldn’t get suspicious), then made sure that Carlos was kept in a jail with only one exit in order to trap the rescue team.
But Carlos knows this which is why he dreaded seeing Falco’s group and yelled at her to leave. Ace’s plan would’ve worked if it wasn’t for the fact that Akainu was literally ten steps ahead.
Basically, everyone underestimated how cruel the Marines could be.
Ace trusted that Carlos’ platoon would not get tortured or killed because there’s no evidence showing that they’re part of the Whitebeard Pirates. Think about it—why would they go out of their way to execute a small group of (seemingly) rookie pirates?
But what he didn’t consider was the fact that Base 113 is under Akainu’s jurisdiction, and Akainu’s sense of Absolute Justice is to execute the unlawful as fast as possible. By torturing the five, the Marines eventually learn that they’re part of the Whitebeard Pirates, and the trap was set.
The infiltration itself isn’t anything interesting. Both pairs run into a young petty officer, who’s actually a spy to check how many pirates are present. I did this because I realized that there are probably no CCTV cameras in the One Piece world, so they’d have no idea as to who’s infiltrated unless someone could check. He reports his findings to the higher-up, and Amare is the first to realize that this is actually a trap once she sees the six battleships head their way.
As for the skirmish, I had to incapacitate Ace/Thatch/Carlos to make sure that they couldn’t fight. Marco and Falco got plot armour, sure, but give me a break QAQ they have to get out somehow, right?
And then shit really hits the fan once Amare shows up.
After realizing that this was all a trap, she makes her way to the viewing room to help the platoon escape. The room is small and cramped so the Marines can’t freely shoot, and she takes the opportunity to open the gates.
Doing this is obviously extremely risky. She knew she would die by doing this, but her love for Ace and Falco didn’t even make her hesitate.
In the moment of chaos, Amare is fatally shot.
I wasn’t sure how graphic I wanted her death to be considering she’s very young, but I didn’t want how she died to be what’s important. The action moves very, very quickly starting from when she gets shot to the end of the chapter, so it won’t be easy to take in and remember every detail. There were only two things I wanted to make sure I could portray:
1. Amare has died for sure (none of this ‘a Marine took her and helped her recover’ bullshit). 2. How much she loved Ace and Falco until the bitter end.
To be honest, there was a brief moment when I considered keeping Amare alive (without Ace and Falco’s knowledge), but that’s such a cop-out and I hate it when that happens in other books or shows. But at the same time, I didn’t want her death to simply be a plot device to make readers sad. Her death is something much more symbolic for Romance Dawn. You can say that this chapter is the ‘true’ beginning of the story.
The last thing Amare sees is Falco’s outstretched hand as Marco sacks her over his shoulder and runs to escape. He makes this decision because he knows that if they don’t get out, her death would have been for naught.
In her last breaths, she thinks of the two vice-commanders who were her roommates, friends, siblings, and parents. A verse from an old lullaby flashes through her mind:
I pray that our love will never waver Even as I fly towards the dark I won’t know what lies ahead But even now, you are my light.
The final section is an absolute disaster, so let me try to organize it.
Falco hears four main things: all these voices from both the outside world and her memories, a flatline, some awful screaming, and something that continuously gets shattered. She’s trying to figure out where they’re coming from, but it’s extremely disorienting and she’s in a lot of pain.
The flatline isn’t the sound of Amare’s death, but rather her own heart stopping from being broken.
The awful screaming is coming from her (which she initially doesn’t realize).
The shattering noise is weird because to the readers, it’s supposed to symbolize Amare’s death (as it was foreshadowed last chapter and the start of this one), but Falco believes that it’s her heart. Once she wakes up though, she thinks it’s actually Ace’s after seeing how utterly broken the man is.
The reason why Falco was in this semi-comatose state where she couldn’t wake up was because she let her Devil Fruit ability loose from the shock of Amare dying. Previously, it was just her wings and a few scales that made her look like a dragon. Now she has fangs, larger wings, and hands/legs with talons. That’s why her teeth (and body) were hurting so much.
How they actually escaped will come up next chapter, as well as the series of events that led to her going berserk.
For Falco and Amare who loved the stars, the sky is cloudy by the time they head home. The Marines don’t pursue them further.
Writing this note was honestly so emotionally draining. I can’t even begin to describe how much I loved Amare. It’s weird because from the many, many OC’s I’ve created, the most minor little girl that I created solely to die was the one I ended up loving the most.
Her death won’t be in vain though.
Thank you so much for reading the chapter and the note. Thanks for loving the story and most of all, for giving so much attention to Amare. She would’ve relished in the attention, I’m sure.
I will likely be returning in January with a new chapter! Going to spend some time with TBE, fixing inconsistencies in Romance Dawn, sketching, hanging out with family, and travel a bit.
B U T, I did say you guys can request prompts if you want to! There’s a lot of slice-of-life stuff with Ace/Falco/Amare that I didn’t get to show, so if there’s a specific scenario you’d like for me to write, just send it in my ask box and I’ll do it! You guys will probably come up with things better than me anyways. :D

Earthborn Coalition - Some 40k Specifics
The Astartes, following the introduction of their Primarchs and worlds to the Coalition, have become its chief defenders and heroes, and represent the logical extreme of mods that the Coalition is comfortable with.
As mentioned in earlier posts, the Astartes of the CT-verse are not strictly super soldiers, but a fusion of the human body with the divine essence of a Primarch; there is no conventional alteration process, but a period of time as they grow and change in the image of their Primarch. Accordingly, there are not really surgeries or mods done to change them, but the process is exhaustive and brutal on the mind, with those who cannot withstand it often mutating into supernatual entities who mindlessly fulfill the most basic directive of the Primarch, for good or ill; a fallen Blood Angel might become a protective but bloodthirsty vampiric monster, for example, and the fate of corrupted Space Wolves as savage werewolves is well-known.
And as a consequence of this, canon’s attempts to exclude female Space Marines simply doesn’t apply here; there are just as many female space marines as men.
The Astartes are divided into Chapters born from a common legion, and can be considered to be branches of a larger order, with each chapter having a specific purpose; for example, the Black Dragons are a strictly military arm of the Salamanders, focusing on eliminating dangerous monsters, while the Blood Ravens are a more scholarly sub-set of the Thousand Sons.
All of them are heroes to the Coaliton (and considerably more benign than in canon); all chapters can be considered canon here, one way or another, and allowing for what makes sense (for example, the Marines Malevolent are most likely rogues now affiliated with the Commonwealth), but some examples follow:
Blood Angels: Graceful and elegant beings elevated to vampirism by the blessing of Sanguinius, they hold themselves as knights who protect the weak and embody the virtues of chivalry, and pursue all the finest arts when not actively at war. Their most militant and bloodthirsty members are labeled the Flesh Tearers, while their most honorable and heroic are placed into the Lamenters, who often serve alongside aliens and heroes from other realms.
Salamanders: The Salamanders are roughly split between those who remained with the Fleet, and those who opt to serve the Coalition as being more in need of their flaming hearts; they see themselves as a link between the two nations, and will forge them both into a single family with the power of FRIENDSHIP. The Black Dragons, who willingly have developed mutations with massive draconic blades from their limbs, are their premier monster hunters, though it is unknown if they have more specialized chapters than these.
Space Wolves: They prefer Vlka Fenryka, but the nickname just won’t quit. They’re literally Space Norse, and are werewolves besides; they transform into massive wolf-man hybrids when they need to, can transform further into oversized wolves, and have a whole spectrum to choose from. They generally do so while in a battle rage, though, and consider it inappropriate to do so without need. Some of them have taken to riding dragons, after some cultural exchange with them, the Salamanders, and a Space Wolf world that had honed the skill.
White Scars: One of those working hardest to keep the Coalition together, these honorable warriors now make a practice out of traveling across the multiverse, hunting fearsome foes that have long-since evaded capture, and are sometimes mistaken for mercenaries; they are willing to serve alongside the Fleet without complaining about all the explosions, and make use of their records to hunt down particularly noisome threats. Rumor has it they are collaborating with the Dinobots to hunt down the Decepticon Justice Division, who have done grave ills to mankind in the past. Apparently they share a kind of kinship with the recently appeared AIr Nomads, and have a talent for the Airbending disciplines they practice.
Thousand Sons: Glad to have a receptive audience for their sorcerous knowledge, they are laboring to make magical knowledge as widely known across the Coalition as they can, and their tireless efforts have revolutionized education systems throughout their lands; while this may not be a particularly exciting thing, it has helped to make the Coalition a better place. They are currently engaged on seeking out worlds to find lost history and recover more of mankind’s stories, so they might discover lost colonies or find secrets that now can be shared with others. Raven, though a proud Fleet member now, has a religious following on Prospero and other Magnean worshipers as the daughter of Magnus, and the belief has made her even larger!
World Eaters: They have to emphasize that the name isn’t literal; yes, some of the women in the Chapter get VERY, VERY large, but they don’t make a habit out of doing that! The Butcher’s Nails have since been removed (or alternatively never existed here), and the Chapter is able to dedicate itself to healthier uses of rage, though Angron himself tends to be a bit difficult to deal with. Kharn, his lieutenant, is effectively the leader of the World Eaters and attempts to do so properly, and is apparently quite nice when not in a blood rage.

The Avengers Who Were Also X-Men

Scarlet Witch is back in Avengers: Endgame, but there's a long history of X-Men joining the Avengers.

The Avengers
X-Men
Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch’s inclusion in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was just the latest chapter in the long history of X-Men characters joining the Avengers. Wanda is back for Avengers: Endgame, of course, and we assume you know what happened to Pietro in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
But those aren't the only two X-Men that have answered the call to assemble with the Avengers. Plenty of mutants have become major parts of Avengers history.
So here is a historic look at those X characters who have also served as Avengers!
Quicksilver
Joined the team in Avengers #16 (1965)
In Avengers #16, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby did, at the time, the unheard of. The legendary fathers of the Marvel Age replaced the current roster of Avengers with an entirely new team, mostly comprised of former villains. Joining Captain America on the team were Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, and mutant speedster, Quicksilver.
Before he joined the Avengers, Quicksilver was a member of Magneto’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. He was a reluctant villain whose main motivation was protecting his sister from Magneto’s machinations. When he and his sister joined Cap on the Avengers, a cohesive history between the X-Men and the Avengers began.

Quicksilver almost instantly began to play the arrogant rogue, an Avenger with a huge chip on his shoulder out to prove that he was worthy of the name Avengers despite his violent past. Quicksilver served as a foil for many of his comrades and stood between his sister and many romantic relationships, first with Hawkeye and finally with the being that Scarlet Witch would marry, the Vision.
Scarlet Witch
Joined the team in Avengers #16 (1965)
Like her brother Quicksilver, Wanda Maximoff joined Earth’s Mightiest in Avengers #16 and became part of Cap’s Kooky Quartet. Scarlet Witch is the most powerful mutant ever to join the Avengers but oddly, she was never actually a member of any X team. Yes, she started out as a member of Magneto’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, but that was the only mutant team she was ever a part of.
read more: Marvel Movies Watch Order - An MCU Timeline Guide
Wanda spent her entire heroic career as a core member of the Avengers and from the Kree-Skrull War, to the Korvac Saga, to the Celestial Madonna saga, she was front and center for most of the major early Avengers stories. Scarlet Witch was the unwitting power behind the House of M crossover and profoundly impacted the X Verse when she declared, “No More Mutants,” decimating the mutant population. She was also the catalyst of the events leading to Avengers vs. X-Men, as the two teams came into conflict over the Witch’s future...which led to the death of Charles Xavier.
So while the Avengers experienced many happy moments with the Scarlet Witch such as her marriage to the android Vision, the X-Men experienced great tragedy because of Wanda Maximoff.
Beast
Joined the team in Avengers #151 (1976)
A founding member of the X-Men, the Beast might have been just about the last mutant you would ever imagine joining the Avengers, particularly in 1976. Beast joined the X-Men right after Marvel tried to integrate Hank McCoy into its family of horror titles. This was right after Beast went all blue (actually grey at first) and hairy.
From mutant to would be horror star, Marvel couldn’t seem to find a place for Beast until he joined the Avengers. Hank McCoy was a major member of the Avengers for much of the '70s and into the '80s forming a lasting friendship with Wonder Man that became one of the central relationships of the title. Where Beast found nothing but fear and hatred as a member of the X-Men, he found acceptance and celebrity as a member of the Avengers.

The Beast served as a liaison between humans and mutants, living out Charles Xavier’s dream of acceptance as an Avenger. The Beast will forever be known as the first heroic X-Man to answer the call of the Avengers and finding new levels of popularity with readers while doing so.
Namor, the Sub-Mariner
Joined the team in Avengers #262 (1985)
This one is a bit controversial, but Marvel has established that due to his little ankle wings, Namor is in fact, a mutant. Namor joined the Avengers in the mid-80s and became a major member of that era’s team. The highlight of Namor’s time with the Avengers was his constant chest pounding feud of one-upmanship with fellow Avenger Hercules. More recently, he had some squabbles with T'Challa in the pages of New Avengers.
read more - Avengers: Endgame Ending Explained
He wouldn’t have made our list if Namor didn’t join the X-Men during the Avengers vs. X-Men saga where he was one of five mutants to gain the powers of the Phoenix. He might have served briefly with each team and his status as a mutant may be questionable, but Namor was one of the few X Avengers during some very exciting times in both teams’ history.
Firestar
Joined the team in Avengers vol. 3 #4 (1998)
Ah, everyone’s favorite amazing friend. Angelica Jones just recently joined the X-Men but was a long standing member of the Avengers starting with Kurt Busiek and George Perez’s classic run in the late '90s. This microwave wielding mutant powerhouse took part in many classic tales including Busiek and Perez’s Ultron story which pretty much everyone needs to read.
read more - Which Avengers: Endgame Deaths are Permanent?
At first a member of the mutant Hellions and then the heroic New Warriors, Firestar joined the Avengers with her boyfriend Justice and basically earned her hero chops as a member of Earth’s Mightiest. She later took all her Avengers experience to the X-Men.
And no, Ms. Lion was not on any of these teams with the mighty Firestar.
Wolverine
Joined the team in New Avengers #6 (2005)
While he was the most popular member of the X-Men, Wolverine also joined the Avengers causing a firestorm of controversy as old time fans railed against the already hyper exposed feral mutant becoming part of Earth’s mightiest.
That didn’t stop Wolverine from taking part in some of the 21st century’s greatest Avengers stories, such as Civil War, Secret Invasion, Siege, and Age of Ultron all had Wolverine as a central Avenger. Plus, when the X-Men and the Avengers went to war in A vs. X Wolverine was caught smack in the middle of the conflict.
read more: Complete Schedule of Upcoming Marvel MCU Movies
Wolverine originally joined the team because Tony Stark basically paid him a fortune (hey, Wolverine needed beer money), but he eventually became just as important to the team in the early part of the 2000s as Iron Man and Captain America. Fans may dream of seeing Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine joining the Avengers on the big screen, but for a long time in the comics, Wolverine answered the call to assemble.
Storm
Joined the team in Avengers vol. 4 #19 (2011)
When the Avengers needed to swell its ranks against the forces of Norman Osborn and HAMMER, the call went out to some great heroes. None were greater than the X-Men’s most regal member, the then Queen of Wakanda, the weather witch, Storm. Along with Wolverine, Storm has always been the heart of the X-Men and her time with the Avengers was a testament to her status as one of the world’s mightiest champions.
read more - Avengers: Endgame Time Travel Logic Explained
Storm came to the Avengers by the recommendation of her then husband the Black Panther and quickly became one of the team’s most powerful members. She was torn from the Avengers’ ranks during the events of Avengers vs. X-Men but during her time with the team, Storm served admirably.
Havok
Joined the team in Uncanny Avengers #1 (2012)
The X-Men’s first field commander, Cyclops, may have never joined the Avengers, but his baby bro Havok did in the pages of Uncanny Avengers. Havok was hand picked by Captain America to lead the team of human/mutant heroes and quickly became a great Avengers leader, guiding his team through memorable conflicts with Apocalypse and Kang.
read more - Avengers: Endgame Spoilers, Questions, and Theories
Like most X-Men and Avenger characters, Havok’s character continuity quickly became convoluted and timey wimey. You see, in an alternate universe, Havok married and had a daughter with the Wasp and then had to undo the timeline to save reality, sacrificing his daughter along the way and becoming hideously scarred and – you know what, skip it. Havok is awesome and made an awesome Avenger.
Cannonball
Joined the team in Avengers vol. 5 #1 (2012)
Fans have watched this long time member of the New Mutants, X-Force, and the X-Men grow up over the decades. The culmination of Cannonball’s heroic journey occurred when he and his best pal, Sunspot, were chosen to join the Avengers.
read more: Hulk Movies Marvel Should Make
Cannonball has an awesome wide eyed innocent quality that really drives home just how cool it would be to serve as an Avenger. He was always the corn-fed kid as part of the X-Men and the New Mutants, but as an Avenger, Sam Guthrie came into his own as a hero and as a man.
Sunspot
Joined the team in Avengers vol. 5 #1 (2012)
Sunspot joined the Avengers at the same time as his pal Cannonball. While Cannonball has that innocent vibe to him, Sunspot has a swagger like he belongs on a team labeled Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. He is arrogant, self important, and as heroic as they come. Like Cannonball, Sunspot served as a New Mutant, a member of X-Force, and a member of the X-Men before joining the world’s elite heroes.
read more: Everything You Need to Know About Doctor Strange 2
Sunspot’s Avengers run was memorable. During his time as an Avenger, Sunspot took down one of the Avengers’ greatest groups of antagonists, the cadre of mad scientists known as AIM. How did Sunspot defeat AIM? Did he bust into AIM HQ using his solar energy powers to destroy the group? Nope, Sunspot purchased AIM, bee keeper helmets and all, and proved that Tony Stark wasn’t the only Avenger with the swag to throw around billons.
Rogue
Joined the team in Uncanny Avengers #4 (2013)
Rogue’s history with the Avengers goes way back, not as a hero, as she was first an adversary. It was Rogue who put Carol Danvers out of action for a long time when she drained the powers and the psyche of the former Ms. Marvel. Back then, it would be hard to imagine that the woman who so devastated one of the Avengers’ finest heroes would ever join the team’s ranks, but she became a core member of Uncanny Avengers.
Sunfire
Joined the team in Uncanny Avengers #5 (2013)
Sunfire was not an X-Man for long. He joined the all new, all different X-Men as the same time as Wolverine, Storm, and Nightcrawler only to leave the newly formed international team like seven seconds later. He also didn’t spend very long as part of Havok’s Uncanny Avengers but we freakin’ love Sunfire’s costume so we had to stick him on the list.
read more: Complete Guide to Captain Marvel Easter Eggs
His time as an Avenger may have been short, but during his tenure, Sunfire took on Kang and a Celestial and even died for a bit (he got better).
X-23
Joined the team in Avengers Academy #39 (2012)
Wolverine joining the Avengers almost broke fandom but when his clone X-23 joined the Avengers Academy, well nothing really dramatic happened except some really good stories. X-23 was a neophyte hero when she entered the Avengers’ school and had to repress her savage nature in order to excel. She was a member in good standing of the school’s upper class and gave an edge to the Avengers Academy title for a number of years.
X-23 took the lessons she learned from the Avengers and is now a member of the core X-Men team, dating a time lost version of the teenage Angel. Who just gained cosmic powers. And lives in the same timeline as his older self. Who has amnesia and thinks he might be a real angel. Oh, comics.
Anyway, X-23 was once a student of the Avengers, so yeah, there you go.
Sabretooth
Joined the team in Uncanny Avengers Vol. 2 #1 (2015)
It’s hard to believe that one of the most vicious, feral villains in the Marvel Universe was on any superhero team, and this psychopathic killer has been on two. Victor Creed once attempted to reform and even convinced the X-Men he had seen the error of ways back in the early '90s, even going on a few missions with the team until he reverted to his true colors and gutted a few X people. After the inversion of Axis, Sabretooth was converted into a hero who tried to make up for his bloody past. Again. It didn't last.
Deadpool
Joined the team in Avengers #0 (2015)
Deadpool is a super star of comics, film, cosplay, and Hot Topics across America, but the Merc With a Mouth was also an Avenger. Now, if Wade Wilson shows up anywhere near Avengers 5, fandom might shatter out of pure glee. But if you want to see Deadpool cut wise and cut bad guys as a card carrying Earth’s Mightiest Hero, check out issues of Uncanny Avengers post-2015.
read more: Deadpool Comics Reading Order
Deadpool was originally recruited by Captain America, but when Cap broke bad and went HYDRA in Secret Empire, it really threw the suddenly hopeful and heroic Deadpool for a loop and ignited some really great character moments. Deadpool was actually a really solid Avenger because he was constantly out to prove himself a worthy member of the Earth’s Mightiest. He even (mostly) refrained from putting peeps in the ground when he hung with the A team.
Cable
Joined the team in Uncanny Avengers #4 (2016)
Deadpool’s time traveling badass film co-star Cable also joined the Uncanny Avengers and served as the team’s strategist and moral compass, guiding the team through some tough times. Like Deadpool, Cable also turned the volume down on the killing when he joined the Avengers, but there was just something odd about seeing the grizzled old psychic mutant and his giant hunking gun race into battle as an Avenger.
read more: A History of Cable?
So what brought Cable to the Avengers doorstep? Oh, the fact that the Red Skull had stolen and was using the brain of the deceased Professor Charles Xavier. Um, ewww. You can see why the Uncanny Avengers needed a psychic as powerful as ‘ol Cable.
Dazzler
Joined the team in A-Force #2 (2016)
Sadly, this was not the disco version of Dazzler, but a more adult, punk rock version of the mutant rock star. Whatever the case, we always have and always will love Dazzler, and at this time of her career Dazzler needed a friend due to the fact she was recently kidnapped by Mystique. The shape shifting mutant fatale replaced Dazzler and kept the songstress in a coma so Dazzler could be experimented on. That’s messed up, comic book Mystique! Reasons like this are why we like Katniss Mystique better!
read more - The Best Stan Lee Comics Stories
Anyway, Dazzler needed time to heal after her ordeal and joined the all-woman Avengers team known as A-Force. With A-Force, Dazzler bravely served and forged new bonds that helped her become a hero once again.

Second: become a famous soccer player! LANGUAGES KNOWN:  Turkish, English, French, bit of Japanese SECRETS: What only a select few people know or realize is that Daisya sometimes uses his association with the Order to engage in... rather illegal actions. Such as buying illegal substances, gambling, sometimes stealing. He’s been getting into trouble because of that in the past, but never faced real consequences, so he just continued to do these things way more secretly SAVVIES:   He isn’t called the “Mischievous Exorcist” for nothing! Daisya has a way to get what he wants without the people noticing his intentions at first glance. Often times he can appear as charming and charismatic to get the information he needs. It’s one of his biggest strengths
✧  *  PHYSICAL.
BUILD: scrawny /  bony /  slender  /  fit /  athletic   /  curvy  /  herculean  /  pudgy  /  average HEIGHT:  169cm (5'6½") SCARS / BIRTHMARKS:  A birthmark on the outer side of his thigh (A Second Chance verse: a long, straight scar on his chest from the heart surgery) ABILITIES / POWERS:  Let’s start with the purely physical ones: well trained body, especially strong kicks, very flexible, great control over his body, fast runner and therefore great at dodging attacks, his feeling for aiming and hitting his weapon in the correct angles is excellent and he has keen eyes. Charity Bell (normal verse): His anti-akuma weapon, Charity Bell, is a metal ball in the size of a closed fist. Once he activates it, it grows in size, begins to glow and has the ability to greatly accelerate. When he kicks it in this condition, it shoots through the air like a big bullet, easily destroying stone and some metals in it’s path (such as Akuma skulls). If the impact doesn’t kill an Akuma, the loud sound waves resonating from the bell surely make them pop like balloons. Charity Bell will always return to Daisya, no matter where it might go. Charity Bell (A Second Chance verse): After the first shell of his Innocence was destroyed by Tyki, Charity Bell took the form of several smaller bells that Daisya used in his training after his recovery. Once activated it has a similar reaction as in it’s old shape, the bells glow and grow in size. Aside from it’s old abilities, the new Charity Bell also has methods of support, protection and even enables Daisya to get into close-ranged combat with his opponents. Charity Bell can attach to Daisyas belt, his ankles and/or his wrists, either forming a ball shaped protective shield around him or serving as a sort of “brass knuckles” to allow him to hurt Akuma and Noahs with hits and kicks. At Level 4 Charity Bell is able to attach to Akuma and Noah to trap them in her protective shell. RESTRICTIONS:  Even though Daisya is quite athletic and takes good care of his body, his height and lack of big muscles are his biggest weakness. He might have a strong kick, but he isn’t overall physically strong. Also he’s a lightweight, so dedicated enemies are surely able to pick him up easily.
✧  *  FAVOURITES.
FOOD: Sharkmeat, meat marinated in garlic, baklava, spicy food DRINK: Tea, Raki, wine PIZZA TOPPING:  Tuna and onions COLOR:  Purple MUSIC GENRE:  Uh... Folk? (In Modern verse it’s hiphop, pop, punk and electro music) BOOK GENRE:  Mystery MOVIE GENRE: Action, horror, thriller SEASON:  Summer
✧  *  FUN STUFF.
