The quran also states that Allah protects it from corruption.
https://quranx.com/15.9
Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian.
Many Muslims believe the Taurat (Torah) and Injil (New Testament), previous revelations by the same god, were "corrupted," and never consider why he would protect the quran, but not the torah or gospels. What the quran does say is that the quran confirms the previous revelations, rather than correcting them.
https://quranx.com/3.3
He has sent down upon you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel.
Of course, if you were writing a bunch of nonsense fiction, you would probably stick something in there about how it was really, truly, actually true, and that you could know it was true because of the magic forcefield of protection that surrounds it. Any text that claims to be perfect and inerrant is the one of which you should immediately regard as unreliable; there's no reason to even say this unless you're trying to pull a fast one.
But this guardianship creates a problem for these nonsense verses, particularly since nobody in the authentic hadith ask about them or what they mean, suggesting they're later additions.
And the claim of the quran being clear and understandable is undermined by the fact nobody can understand them.
One reasonable possibility, considering the generalized trend of repetition across consecutive surahs, is that they're notations by scribes. But this is obviously unacceptable to the notion of Allah's revealed, protected word.
They've therefore taken on a mystical character, with entire fields of scholarship dedicated to understanding them. Hence the sardonic term "abracadabra verses."
If they are indeed just the annotations of scribes, this gives you an indicator of how completely stupid this religion is. imagine a theological domain dedicated to studying the margin notes written by an editor in a draft of a Harry Potter novel.
Among the theories are: some kind of mathematical miracle associated with the symbols; Allah's own notes, which is stupid for a revelation intended to guide humans; and abbreviations for Allah's qualities, along the same lines as the endlessly-repeated self-congratulatory statements such as "Allah is wise," "Allah is all-knowing," "Allah is just."
Then again, perhaps Muhammad Allah just got tired of starting everything off with "O, you who believe," "O, prophet," and the like. It still doesn't resolve the contradiction of the quran's claim to being clear and understandable, though.

Legendary: Harry Potter
A film that I will do a critical review on is a 2011 fantasy film called “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2”. The director and screenwriter are David Yates and Steve Kloves respectively. This film is the second part continued from “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1.” For your information, this film is the finale of a film series, “Harry Potter,” consisting of eight seasons and adapted from J. K. Rowling’s seven books. Also, this film is from “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” by J. K. Rowling divided into two parts, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and 2.”
Tumblr media
First of all, let us see a little bit of general information about this entertainment piece in brief. “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” and all of its previous seasons’ settings mainly at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry located in the Highland of Scottish. Hogwarts has four houses, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin, to divide their students under each house’s professors. Here are the names and summaries of the eight seasons of the Harry Potter film series.
(Spoiler alert!)
(1) Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) is the prologue that is the introduction to the Harry Potter film series. His mom protected him by sacrificing her life on that day he was tended to be killed. Harry is chosen to be in Gryffindor and meets his two best friends named Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. The Philosopher's Stone is wanted to rescue the Dark Lord, and also Harry is again firstly saved from the maternal love that protects him.
(2) Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), the place where Ron’s sister, Ginny Weasley is used to bait to kill Harry Hotter by the mysterious and dangerous creature, Basilisk living in it. Harry Potter can save Ginny and kill Basilisk safely with the help of the school headmaster, Albus Dumbledore’s phoenix named Fawkes whose tears can heal him from Basilisk's poisonous bite.
(3) Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), Sirius Black, escapes from the wizard prison and comes to see Harry tell him about his father, James Potter. Sirius Black’s truth is also revealed that he is Harry’s godfather one of the Marauders, mischievous friends of James.
(4) Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) is another season recommended to watch. There is the Triwizard Tournament taking place at Hogwarts. It is a competition consisting of three champions from three wizardry schools, Hogwarts united wizardry school, Drumstrang the male wizardry school, and Beauxbatons the female wizardry school.
(5) Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007) is when Harry Potter tries telling others about the comeback of the Dark Lord, but no one cares so he establishes Dumbledore’s Army following a group of wizards who are against the Dark Lord. The prophecy tells us that Harry and Voldemort cannot live if the other survives.
(6) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009) is the season that some of Voldemort’s seven Horcruxes, magical objects that Voldemort parts his spirit into them, are revealed and destroyed and they must be all destroyed to defeat the Dark Lord Voldemort.
(7.1) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 (2010) first mentions the three Deathly Hallows, the Invisibility Cloak that its wearer will not be seen, the Resurrection Stone that can resurrect dead people in form of ghosts, and the Elder Wand that is the strongest and undefeatable wand in the wizardry world. It is told through The Tales of Beedle the Bard (written by J.K. in reality) that the owner of these three powerful magical objects will be immune to death.
(7.2) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (2011) is mainly about finding the remaining Voldemort’s Horcruxes and destroying it to win against him and save Hogwarts after Albus Dumbledore’s death and his ingenious plan in helping Harry defeat the Dark Lord.
From my point of view, I think that the two approaches that help display the critical aspects of this entertainment piece are the genre approach and the auteur approach since any national approach’s notions cannot be seen at all.
Tumblr media
For the genre approach, it is an epic absolutely legendary fantasy feature film among other fantasy films that I have seen. The fantasy genre belongs to fantastic themes like magic, supernatural elements, folklore, and myths mingled together. This genre is another speculative fiction. This film genre has various subgenres, too. For example, fantasy mysteries like eight films from the Harry Potter film series, fantasy superheroes like Justice League (2017), fantasy musicals like My Little Pony (1981), and romantic fantasy like Twilight (2008). In general, each film only focuses on one particular fantasy film element. For instance, Twilight (2008) is only about vampires and werewolves, and My Little Pony (1981) is about the power of magic or friendship is magic.  But when it comes to the Harry Potter film series, prevailing elements that can be seen widespread in fantasy films are mostly mixed used in the Harry Potter film series such as the main characters are wizards and witches who can cast spells, enchantments, or even curses. Other magical creatures like dragons, elves, ghosts, vampires, and werewolves also can be seen often in this film. There are also magical objects like the three Deathly Hallows made by the devil, the Pensieve sink that allows you to see others’ memory, and the seven Horcruxes that contain pieces of one’s spirit. The universal theme of love is mixed here with supernatural things, too. There is the power of love that can be seen through magic whether it is maternal love, friendship, or even one-sided love. It can be seen that “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” mixes most elements of fantasy genre films smoothly, and that makes this film outstanding from other fantasy films in common. Moreover, the Harry Potter film series started with its prologue called “Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone” which was released in 2001 so there were not many epic fantasy films to compare with. It can be concluded that Harry Potter films are the historical distinctions of this genre and a prototype of other fantasy films that picked some elements from this film series and developed them individually but not as epic as this series.
Tumblr media
For the auteur approach, the filmmakers of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” can be considered a dream team to be honest. The team consists of the Director named David Yates, the screenwriter named Steve Kloves, the composer named Alexandre Desplat, the film editor named Mark Day, and the producers David Heyman, David Barron, and J.K. Rowling herself. There are many others in the positions mentioned but I will mainly talk about those who have participated in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2”, and also Part 1 since they have connected. David Yates directed Harry Potter seasons 5-7.2. Steve Kloves did the screenplay for all seasons except for the fifth. Alexandre Desplat composed all seasons. Mark Day edited seasons 5 to 7.2. David Heyman is a producer of all seasons, and David Barron started the fifth season while J.K. only does seasons 7.1 and 7.2. It can be seen that all of them participated in making at least two seasons that are “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and 2.” So, they worked together very well as a teamwork to make this film an epic epilogue of the Harry Potter film series. They control how witchcraft and wizardry fantasy films look when it comes out to the public audience. Historical conditions of these auteurs are quite difficult to discuss because there was any fantasy film that mixed up almost every supernatural and magical thing altogether like Harry Potter was made of.  The auteurist unity implies their studio system that all the filmmakers have independence and make this film series a noticeable influence on other fantasy films in the industry afterward.  However, the Harry Potter series has its spin-off called “Fantastic Beasts” (also written by J.K.) that consists of three seasons and ongoing; Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018), and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022). Some of the members participated in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and 2,” concluding David Yates, J.K Rowling, David Heyman, and Steve Kloves takes part in the Fantastic Beasts film series, too. Their role may be switched in filmmaking. Even though the Fantastic Beasts film series may not be as popular and grand as how Harry Potter was but as you can see some similar elements are shared between these two series since the filmmakers are almost the same as Harry Potter and it is a spin-off that is somewhat connected in story. In summary, these filmmakers are somehow considered a dream team of epic fantasy films.
Tumblr media
The auteur approach used in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” makes images for the casts of this film, and all the films in the film series. The film makes team successfully done making the trio of Gryffindor, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger alive until now by Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson respectively. Also, Lord Voldemort becomes a model for an evil character with a distorted face even though Ralph Fiennes is not recognized because it is not his real face. Nevertheless, they are unforgettable after watching the film. When Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson were, people can recognize them immediately. The team and J.K. had done it incredibly and memorably.
Tumblr media
On the other hand, the genre approaches, the production team, and all of the filmmakers had created an extremely high bar that any other fantasy film at present can beat this film series at all. How can a fantasy movie be grand and epic like this again I am still wondering and patiently waiting for it soon.
Tumblr media
All in all, when it comes to a fantasy film made by a great film team, the Harry Potter film series is a must. Even if you are a Potterhead, a person who fell in love with the Harry Potter film series, or a muggle, a person knowing nothing about the wizardry world, I recommend you watch “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2”. I recommend the series’ epilogue instead of its prologue because it is the best franchise ending of a film series in my opinion. If you start one season, any season, you will want to know a lot more about it and watch the rest in no time I guarantee.

J. K. Rowling | Author Biography
Early Life and Influences
Growing up in the quaint town of Yate, England, young Joanne exhibited a precocious love for storytelling. Her childhood was marked by a vivid imagination, crafting tales for her younger sister and immersing herself in the world of books. Rowling's early experiences laid the foundation for the literary wizardry that would later captivate millions. Joanne's educational journey further fueled her passion for writing. The transition to the University of Exeter brought her closer to her dream, allowing her creativity to flourish amidst academic pursuits. The influences of classical literature and her voracious reading shaped the budding author's unique perspective.
Literary Beginnings
Rowling's journey to literary stardom wasn't a straightforward path. The idea of Harry Potter first visited her during a train journey, and from that moment, the magical universe began to unfold. Enduring rejections from several publishers, Rowling's perseverance finally bore fruit when Bloomsbury took a chance on the young writer. The release of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" marked the beginning of a global phenomenon.
Global Phenomenon: Harry Potter Series
The impact of the Harry Potter series extended far beyond the realm of literature. The books became a cultural phenomenon, shaping the childhoods of millions and inspiring an entire generation. The subsequent film adaptations and a deluge of merchandise solidified Rowling's creation as a global brand. Beyond the fame and fortune, Rowling's wizarding world became a force for good. Themes of friendship, courage, and the battle against darkness resonated with readers worldwide, creating an enduring legacy.
Beyond Harry Potter
J.K. Rowling's narrative journey extends far beyond the magical world of Harry Potter. Venturing into diverse genres, Rowling showcased her literary versatility under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. With works like "The Casual Vacancy" and the Cormoran Strike series, she skillfully navigated different storytelling landscapes, proving that her storytelling prowess wasn't confined to the wizarding realm. Rowling's post-Potter ventures were a deliberate departure from the fantasy genre, demonstrating her ability to craft narratives that resonated with readers beyond the allure of magic. "The Casual Vacancy," a contemporary novel exploring societal issues, revealed a different facet of Rowling's storytelling, emphasizing her capacity to engage audiences with a diverse range of themes. The Cormoran Strike series, penned under the Galbraith pseudonym, introduced readers to a detective world far removed from the magical spells of Hogwarts. Rowling's foray into crime fiction demonstrated not only her narrative adaptability but also her commitment to evolving as a writer. The success of these works affirmed Rowling's status as a storyteller capable of captivating audiences across genres. Beyond the literary realm, J.K. Rowling embraced a role that transcended the confines of her writing desk.
Philanthropy and Activism
J.K. Rowling's impact on the world extends beyond the pages of her books. Embracing the roles of philanthropist and advocate, Rowling has actively contributed to various charitable causes. Her generosity has supported endeavors related to education, multiple sclerosis, and children's welfare, reflecting a commitment to making a positive impact on a global scale. Rowling's philanthropic efforts are particularly evident through her establishment of Lumos, a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of disadvantaged children. Lumos focuses on eradicating the institutionalization of children and ensuring they have the opportunity to grow up in a loving family environment. Rowling's commitment to this cause showcases her belief in the transformative power of literature and its ability to effect positive change. In addition to her charitable contributions, Rowling has used her platform to advocate for social issues. Her vocal stance on topics such as human rights, equality, and inclusivity has sparked meaningful conversations. Rowling's ability to leverage her influence to champion causes she believes in aligns with her ethos of making a difference beyond the realms of fiction.
Challenges and Criticisms
With unprecedented success came unprecedented scrutiny and challenges. J.K. Rowling faced immense pressure following the conclusion of the Harry Potter series. The global phenomenon cast a long shadow, and Rowling encountered challenges in transitioning from the wizarding world to new literary endeavors. Criticism, particularly concerning her post-Potter works, surfaced as readers and critics grappled with expectations shaped by the iconic series. "The Casual Vacancy" faced mixed reviews, with some praising the departure from fantasy while others found it challenging to dissociate Rowling from the magical realm. Controversies surrounding Rowling's statements on social media added complexity to her public image. Discussions on sensitive topics led to debates and criticisms, revealing the fine line that public figures navigate between personal expression and public responsibility. Rowling, however, remained steadfast in expressing her views, emphasizing the importance of open discourse. Navigating these challenges, J.K. Rowling demonstrated resilience, illustrating that even the most celebrated authors face the daunting task of carving new paths beyond their initial successes. The evolution of her career post-Harry Potter underscores the complexities and pressures that accompany literary fame.
Adaptations and Expanding Universe
The wizarding world didn't conclude with the last page of Deathly Hallows. Rowling expanded the universe through adaptations like "Fantastic Beasts," delving into the magical history predating Harry's adventures. This cinematic journey allowed fans to revisit the enchanting landscapes and creatures that became synonymous with Rowling's name.
Personal Life and Public Persona
While Rowling guards her personal life fiercely, glimpses into her struggles and triumphs add a human touch to the literary icon. Balancing fame with personal challenges, including overcoming adversity and the loss of loved ones, showcases the resilience that defines Rowling's character.
Legacy and Achievements
J.K. Rowling's impact on literature extends beyond the realms of fantasy. Her numerous awards, including the prestigious Order of the British Empire (OBE), attest to the profound influence of her storytelling. Rowling's ability to seamlessly blend entertainment with valuable life lessons secures her place in literary history.
Conclusion
In conclusion, J.K. Rowling's journey is a testament to the transformative power of storytelling. Wednesday review
Tumblr media
Was on my rec list
Captivation: 9/10. Iwas invested almost all of the time.
Blorboness: 6/10. Characters overall were well developed, but there was this certain block (?) that kept them from truly reaching a level where they would live in your mind rent free. And I think that's part of The Netflix Sanitization of everything. Like, Wednesday can only attempt murder, but when it is actual murder, it's not okay? Man.
Visuals: 9/10. Very cool, minus point for some scenes being too dark to see.
Soundtrack: 10/10. Pretty cool, loved the cello.
Humor: 8/10. It was okay.
Plot: 6/10. The murder mystery was pretty cool, although the show basically is a harry potter wannabe.
Message: 2/10. Rated so low because although the overall message of that being different is okay, was just... not what they actually showed at all. Wednesday, seeing no value in traditions of popular social events and customs, ends up... having a large group of friends? Wednesday, refusing to use modern technology, ends up... using a phone? Enid never being able to turn into a werewolf and thus not belonging to her pack ends up... turning into a werewolf? It's like the show said "Be proud to be different but actually a good ending is when something about you changes so you're a part of a group". Honestly the only character actually being an outcast was Eugene but he's the comedic relief of the show.
Overall score: 7.1
I mean, if you're into highschool tv series and a bit weird, but god forbid too weird, and if you don't mind the netflixication of morals, this show is for you

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) dir. David Yates. 7.1/10
About Newt being needed to find Credence and protect him from Grindelwald because of some underlying, special identity.
I have so many questions. Mostly about Aurelius and Nagini. Interesting to see Ezra Miller and interesting see a more diverse cast again.
Queenie was too easy to convince. Please. She wanted it because of Jacob but she ends up going anyway?
Leta’s facial features are amazing.
Poor at the little boy who didn’t live.
Zouwu and the toy is my fav.

Life Without Hope - Masterlist
“Don’t you dare let go of my hand, Potter!” Draco shouts. Only Harry doesn't listen, and let's go. He falls to the ground and dies. Draco is heartbroken. Not that he shows it to the world. He keeps up the lie that he killed Harry on purpose. It's the only way he can think of to keep his mother alive. And now that Harry is gone, that is the only thing that matters.
How far will Draco go to keep Narcissa alive? How deep will he fall into the Dark Lord's grip? And what will he do when he finds out that all he believed in was a lie?

Whumptober Comparison
I kinda wanted to look at my stats from Whumptober last year and Whumptober this year and compare and so... I did. And then I wanted an excuse to keep doing fandom math, so now I’m editing it for a third year!
All the series can be found on my AO3
Number of works
2020: 31 (all one shots, at least during whumptober)
2021: 24 (31 chapters in all)
2022: 10 (fulfilled all 31 prompts)
Word count:
2020: 60,043 (avg. of 1937 words per fic/day)*
Longest Work: 13747 words*
Shortest Work: 292 words
2021: 24,934 (avg. of 1039 words per fic, 804 words per day)
Longest Work: 2055 words
Shortest Work: 275 words
2022: 22,595 (avg. of 2259 words per fic, 729 words per prompt)
Longest Work: 3475 words
Shortest Work: 919 words
2021 comments: ... alright i’m going to try not to feel super bad about that, because 25,000 words is still an accomplishment and so is 60,000 but 60,000 words were written during quarantine and I had very little else going on, while now I have... more going on.
2022 Comments: I don’t feel super bad about that! Because character growth. I had a lot going on this year. I clearly didn’t in 2020 and that’s reflected and makes sense. I do feel slightly bad about not writing 31 chapters, but hey it led to longer (and arguably better) fics.
Fandoms:
2020: 9 [Andi Mack, Marvel, Lab Rats: Elite Force, Mech-X4, The Thundermans, Descendants, Girl Meets World, Harry Potter, and Sanders Sides]
2021: 9 [Julie and the Phantoms, Lab Rats: Elite Force, Marvel, Mech-X4, Grishaverse, Supernatural, Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus, The Thundermans, Zero Chill]
2022: 10 [The Thundermans, Zero Chill, Ms. Marvel/Marvel, Z-O-M-B-I-E-S, Henry Danger, Mission Impossible, Lab Rats, Girl Meets World, Mech-X4, Supernatural]
Overlap:
2/3 Years: 3 [Girl Meets World, Supernatural, Zero Chill]
All 3: 4 [Marvel, Mech-X4, Lab Rats(: Elite Force), The Thundermans]
2021 Notes: Well nine seems to be a magic number here, but what’s the breakdown of the stats by fandom?
2022 Notes: 9 is no longer the magic number lol.

2021 Notes: I’m kinda obsessed with this data. I don’t even know why, but like especially the ones where I can see the comparison between years like The Thundermans and Lab Rats and Mech-X4 (cue me realizing I forgot to add Mech-X4 and inserting it in there). Like Thundermans had three fics each year but since the number of fics total changed this year its percentage of fics had increased. Or how Lab Rats lost a lot of its fic percentage between the two years (let’s be honest it pretty much all went to Supernatural which dominated in fic percentage and word count percentage during 2021). I don’t know. I just kinda like seeing it all written out like this.
2022 Notes: I continue to love this data. Supernatural and Lab Rats had the most word percentages which isn’t super surprising. Supernatural obviously decreased a lot because I didn’t write 8 fics for it this year. Thundermans went down too which made sense since last year I was very excited to write in the Future AU that had been created. Also just going through this list reminded me of fandoms I want to write for again, which is fun. It’s just cool and makes me happy.
*word count inflated due to a fic continued after whumptober 2020

Note
Im the list anon again and boy do I have more for you but this time I also have some questions as well if your time allows and you are willing to answer of course. First with the other things I loved:
1) the fact that Ron warmed up to Draco so quickly! I genuinely think thats so much in character. Ron is not a distrustful person and as a middle child as they come is very easygoing and would for sure make stupid jokes at Draco
2) The patronus. My god the Patronus. I seriously put the phone down and made a small slow clap during that chapter. At first I was like hmmmm *insert unsure kombucha girl face* because almost all fanfics have him with a dragon patronus and leave it at that (and lets be honest at this point my expectations of you were quite high dont blame me blame your bloody brilliant writing) but then, and I dont know if you did this on purpose or not (I have a feeling you did) but the fact that the dragon was the same (pale white) wounded but still feral dragon that Hermione FREEED (!) from a bank (£££) dungeon, malnourished and used for its nature, surrounded by darkness, wealth and misery!! And it was Hermione who broke its chains!!!!! Is just *chefs fucking kiss* slow clap*
3) the way you describe sex scenes are so natural! Ive never read a fanfic or book that doesnt make me gag a little bit (I am not a fan of smut at all but ill go with it because of a good story) until I read yours. Its so simple but yet intricate and you make the entire act so intriguing and normal and intimate. Bravo.
4) I LOVE SASHA. I love that Theo fell for her head over heels and the way you portrayd her reminded me of a friend of mine who works as a sous-chef in London so I always pictured her when reading it!
5) Dracos inner voice is ON POINT. Like I genuinely think you shoud own the rights to that character now.
6) Ill say it again. I love Ginny. You should also own the rights to her character too.
7) my interest for Quiddich (even when reading the books/wathcing the movies) was on par, if not lower than Hermiones. You managed to get me interested in that too so yes another slow clap to you
7.1) Also such a clever career for Draco!! Made si much sense!
Now to some questions
A) What was the deal with Malfoy referring to Ginny as Weasly and refusing to aknowledge her Potter surname. And why did everyone kept correcting him? It was hilarious granted but I wanted to know whether the reason you included this time and time again had to do wih something deeper? Or was this included as just a funny recurring joke?
B) Why did you choose for Draco to have a “fantasy” to produce a patronus and not for example for him to have had to do that after theyd exchanged “i love yous”. Very interesting angle and i liked that it was sort of a loophole to all the ‘death eaters cant have patronuses’ but quite curious on the thought process
C) Why did you opt for Draco to remove his mark? Do you think that stands as reward for him more or for Hermione? Very smart solution by the way
D) if you have the time- Could you please elaborate a tad more on what the soul-bonding means? Why was it so taboo? At furst hand it seems like a very romantic/amazing thing to do with your partner right?
Lastly- Do you ever itch to make a second part to this? And in the most acceptable case that you dont, I always wondered what you had in mind for them in the future- because of the soul bonding thing, you mentioned that the generational curses will be erased, which means I guess that the Malfoys can have more than one child now, and girls as well. (I cannot believe im asking for this as I am the one to avoid any pregnancy fanfics but) do you imagine them with children and if yes, how many? How do they integrate muggle devices(I know youd agree wit me that Hermione would definitively bring some muggle stuff over!) and which devices would Draco really secretly like?
Pleasewriteasecondpartwhereyouelaborateyourthoughtsonthisthankyou.
Ok rant done. :D
List anon! You’re back with another amazing ask. I’ll do my best!
1.) I like to think Ron matured a lot post-war (not enough to stop making terrible jokes, though.)
2.) Regarding your beautiful analysis of my specific dragon breed for Draco’s patronus: How many points would you like for your Hogwarts house of choice? I will add that according to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the Ironbelly’s scales are normally a metallic grey. I will also add that I subscribe more to book canon than movie canon. In the book version of events of the Gringotts escape, Harry breaks the chains and Hermione (with eventual help once the boys catch on) destroys the ceiling so it can have a way out. The partially blind dragon does the rest of the work on its own.
3.) Thank you, that’s very flattering.
4.) Does your friend also get you into fancy restaurants and can they make salted caramel bread pudding???
5.) Thank you, it was one of my favorite aspects of writing this story.
6.) Thank you, she’s so fun to write and flesh out from her book portrayal.
7.) Haha, I felt so validated by that line of dialogue in Cursed Child when Draco tells Harry he wanted to play quidditch professionally, but wasn’t good enough.
Now to some answers:
A.) It’s definitely a recurring joke. It’s up to the reader to interpret Draco’s actions here: is he doing it to be a massive troll? Or is he genuinely not retaining the information of her married name because he considers this fact so unimportant that he does not bother to keep it in his brain? Troll, snob, or both, you can decide!
B.) I’ll address the second part of this first, because it was not intended as a loophole. I 1000% do not understand the “death eaters can’t have patronuses” thing. It makes absolutely no sense. Snape has a Patronus. But beyond that… Umbridge has a Patronus (a cat). If we’re letting that woman have a Patronus, then yeah, I think Draco can cast one. As for the vision that Draco used to conjure it… up to you whether that’s a fantasy or a glimpse of a certain ritual actually working. Draco’s thoughts on the matter: “An image of such striking tangibility that he might have already lived it, or perhaps experienced time in such a way that he lived it now.”
C.) I wanted Draco to have a choice, obviously a recurring theme for him in RN. For my characterization of him, that symbol on his arm causes him nothing but shame and self-loathing (see the end of chapter 36 during his heart-to-heart with Hermione). He’d already exercised almost every known avenue to rid himself of it before Hermione entered his life (he lists these in chapter 44). Hermione already loved him (and has told him so) by the time she’s figured out how to remove it: “I love the man you are today and I will love that man tomorrow, bare forearm or not. I simply wanted you, for once, to have the choice. It’s your body.”
D.) Ooh anon, you are tempting me here. I really hate to be coy, but you might see some future writing on this very topic.
I can at least answer the taboo part: I think soul magic in general (horcruxes, the use of unicorn blood) is quite taboo in the HP universe. As no one knows what happens after death (not even ghosts, Nearly Headless Nick says as much when Harry asks him point-blank in OoTP) I think most magical folk would think the intense ritual (blending magical cores) an unnecessary thing anyway. As Draco explains in chapter 48, since no one actually knows the effects or if it works, it’s considered a bit over-the-top since it’s probably futile anyway. It is also not a Vow with a death component; Narcissa is obviously alive in this story even though Lucius is already dead. I wrote the generational curse protection theory in as a dig at Cursed Child for the way they handled Astoria’s character.
The idea of it I think is romantic, but I will stress it is very dependent upon the intent of the two participants. To quote Draco in chapter 48 again: “To twine one’s soul to another showed a willingness to not only physically tether one’s self during your time here on earth, but to commit to a blending of your magical cores, putting faith in your magic to recognize its bonded counterpart in another life. Should other lives even exist.”
If you re-read Draco’s experience during the bonding ceremony in chapter 51 (starting from this bit: “The cognizance of his own powers never felt sharper, more familiar, but suddenly another power pulsed within to join with his.”) you might find it bears a resemblance to the trajectory of their relationship.
Lastly- I’ve left Draco and Hermione to their wedded bliss. I’ve got nothing planned for them beyond where they are in the final lines of chapter 51. I don’t have that itch to write more into their future because it would feel forced. Draco laid out his two envisioned futures with Hermione in chapter 48 when they discuss having or not having children. They are happy and content in the life they chose together. That’s all I ever wanted for them.
You will see more from this story though. I have an entire series of one-shots and outtakes from the published Remain Nameless timeline that I’ll start posting soon.
Thank you so much list anon! These were fun to answer!
