Summary: My Headcanons for sharing a bed with the boys!

Sebastian:

When you first asked him if he wanted to share a bed, he practically jumped straight in it. He was so excited.

But that was just the first time.

He stays up reading almost every night so good luck getting him into that bed in the first place after that.

And by late I mean genuinely unholy hours of the night kinda staying up and he wonders why he looks so tired.

If you do eventually get him in bed, it doesn’t take him long to actually fall asleep. Aside from the constant lack of sleep he usually gets, he’s always been one to fall asleep quickly.

He is a human body heater.

Some nights you may not even need a blanket because he’s just that warm.

I feel like Seb would be the kind of guy to practically sleep on top of you. Like not enough to crush you but instead it feels like a really nice weighted (and warm) blanket.

Except for this blanket snores.

Loud

I’m sorry I don’t make the rules.

Sometimes it's really annoying to share a bed with him and other times it's really nice.

If he ever comes to bed early, it’s how you know he’s had a rough day and just needs to be in your arms for comfort. ..

Ominis:

Unlike Sebastian who would totally be up to sharing a bed, he would be more hesitant.

It’s not like he doesn’t want to, per se, but he’s used to having his own space and he’s not necessarily the most touchy person. But eventually, he says he’s ready.

Kinda awkward the first few nights. He slept with his back towards you and didn't make any physical touch at all.

But after a couple of nights, he slowly starts making the shift to get closer to you and he comes to enjoy it.

After that, he finds it hard to sleep without you.

Due to not having the best childhood, he often has nightmares. And for him his nightmares are extremely unnerving due to the fact that he can’t see anything, only hear things.

But one of the best parts about sharing a bed with you is the fact that whenever his nightmares wake him up, you’re right there next to him.

He often finds himself reaching out for you in the middle of the night, just to make sure you’re still there.

He’s definitely a side sleeper so sometimes you’ll sleep in the spooning position together. This also reassures him a lot that you’re still next to him. ..

Garreth:

Didn’t take long for you two to start sharing a bed at all.

Since he has so many siblings he probably had to share a bed with one of his brothers at some point in his childhood anyway.

But just because he might be used to it does not mean he’s easy to share a bed with.

This boy is a BED HOGGER.

If you are quite literally not right up against him, you’re falling off the bed.

You thought Seb gets hot when he sleeps?

Well, Garreth has him beat by a LONG shot.

You could probably fry an egg on this man's back just saying.

But we all know Garreth has that soft tummy action going on so he’s super comfortable and when he’s not hogging the bed, it’s really nice to cuddle up to him.

When you too are cuddling, he wants to be as close to you as possible.

So, really, just the sweetest boy to ever exist. ..

Leander: (because he deserves his place on this list)

He’s similar to Ominis and opposite of Garreth.

Had very few siblings growing up, probably only one or two so he was used to having his own space. So it took him a while before he was all good with it.

This boy is lanky af.

It’s obviously okay. He’s tall, long, lanky, whatever you wanna call it.

So he probably sleeps with his legs up somehow to keep his feet from hanging off the bed/smacking into the headboard.

It probably took him a while to get used to cuddling with someone in bed but now that he’s used to it, he loves it.

He loves it when you sleep on his chest so he can wrap his arms around you and hold you close.

He’s definitely not a morning person so have fun getting him out of that bed.

Also has really bad bed-head. How do I know this? No man would style his hair the way he does unless he has bed-head so take my word for it.

100% a cuddler now. ...

Half-life: Freeplay

(fullview please!)

Timeloop AU where Gordon is preserved in stasis at the end of HL1 for 20 years, but his subconscious is awake and horribly aware, reliving the events of the Resonance Cascade over and over for the extent of his time in stasis. Either through death, mistake, or defeat of the Nihilanth, the loop begins again, and again, and again... Back in the test chamber.

‘Present day’ for the AU takes place during HL2, where the effects on the mind have become too much to function, forcing another to take up the mantle of ‘The One Freeman’, although not otherwise altering the path of fate that much from the intended one.

(The name ‘Freeplay’ is a play on words; ‘Freeman’ and the word ‘replay’ - as well as the term ‘freeplay’ referring to different gamemode styles in video games where you’re given the option to play as other characters.)

Just got a jumpscare from seeing an Emmie post on my dash lololol. I think it was from her larrie days but like. When i joined this fandom she was at voldemort levels of being hated-- a pariah!! So many posts would indirect her with asterisks only that i had to ask multiple times who tf people were talking about!

And now? She's not even a whisper on the wind!! What newbie would know or care who this person is?? It appears she hasn't even made a post since 2020!

So this is to say that i love this weird fucking fandom that has stayed alive and changed and remained the same in all sorts of funny ways. And I'm glad that we're past the "so-and-so reblogged e****, so they might as well unlarrie already, what a fake" era

Finally doodled HL Mod Stanley <3 (Patreon)

#Doodles #The Stanley Parable #TSP #Because HD Remix Stanley and Ultra Deluxe Stanley have basically the same character model I've never felt the need to differentiate them #I'll joke sometimes about Stanley's soul patch but other than that lol ♪#But the HL Mod uses a different character model in the intro! Different clothes different hairline different skin tone!#So I went and looked around at what character model he might be - there are about ten male Citizen models in HL2 so there's some options #I was convinced he was either 07 or 09 and smol helped me settle on 07 - I was content to just leave it at that but then #I decided that since it's a mod I can just go dig through the backend files and get some actual confirmation #And I only found files related to mCitizens 05 and 06?? Which was definitely not the skin tones or textures as seen in game #So I dug around a little more and there's a face map of a blue-eyed man just hanging out in the files?? :0 Who is he #We never see that Stanley from the front and I couldn't figure out how to move the camera around in the intro cutscene :(#I'm not even sure if it isn't prerendered lol - if it isn't I'd also consider plugging in some body model glitch cheats but I don't know how #So! For the meantime I'm satisfied enough to just use the face map as a general indication of Maybe Stanley #As well as what we can see from behind and to the side - at least enough to make some guesses!#The main differences are his clothes - hair - and I swear I see a mole next to his right ear on his behind-view #The face map also has a mole above his lip hehe ♪ It's cute!#I'm not sure how much HL Mod Stanley would differ from HD Remix - they share a handful of actions!#I do still think he'd be indignant to the Narrator's shenaniganary lol #I could also see him a bit younger :) From a literal understanding of the mod coming before the full release lol #But I also just enjoy HL Mod Narrator being like thiiiiis much more paternal than all his other iterations - ''Daddy'' notwithstanding lol #Him calling Stanley ''sport'' started right here! Plus how patronizing he is in some of the endings - it's just slightly different hehe ♪

This is not directed at anyone specifically but I always find it interesting how if one of my gifsets features HL or SB people will make any kind of comment about liking the characters or just general comments about them with no issue, which is fine.

But then I will make one that features Stormfront, like the last one I posted, and people always feel the need to preface with "I absolutely hate this character but...", "This character is despicable and awful but..." when talking about her, even if they're gonna say something general about what's happening on the gifs or about the story.

And this doesn't happen only on my gifsets, obviously. I've seen it in lots of places but it happens a lot and I think it's funny how it only happens with her. It's like you have to justify yourself first in order to make a comment about something you find interesting about the character or even just a general comment or opinion about her . But that doesn't happen with the others...

I don't know, I've just noticed that you can like those two guys or WB or anyone else in the show who's done terrible things all you want and say so with no issue, but if you're going to even allude to finding SF interesting you have to put a disclaimer...

#and I've seen the more common reason they give for that is that hl and SB don't even come close to be as awful as sf #and i... dont agree #they all have done awful stuff and they're all big pieces of shit and they're all villains #but why can you love two of them as characters despite being awful but not the other one?#idk i just really find her character fascinating and wish we couldve seen her more #and that doesn't instantly make me a nazi supporter #like liking hl or sb as characters doesn't mean you support their disgusting actions #anyway I post mostly about Maeve and they don't even share scenes so is not like i will be giffing more scenes with her #but i feel like saying you like sf can be taken very negatively...#personal post #sorry for the rambling #maybe there is a bigger reason for it that i don't know

My answer is: I don't think about them?

I'm here for a good time. I love the music of One Direction and all its members' solo projects, I find comfort and joy in the relationship that I believe HL have with one another as I hear it in their music, and I love coming up with silly little fantasies where my own versions of them (who are frequently lesbians lol) can have fun and find happy endings in a variety of ways.

I'm not here for stressing about whether or not someone I don't know got a message, the contents of that message, or any discourse about it :)

Highly recommend this approach to fandom if you frequently find yourself stressing over/upset about things like this. There's a very good chance that we'll never have any definitive answers about anything (we can't even get straightforward answers about the meaning of song lyrics!), and once I accepted that and stopped worrying about Knowing What's Definitively True my appreciation of the fandom got even stronger than it already was!
