In the latest presentations of groups and female soloists, the backup dancers are more impressive than the idols, in addition to the fact that they look healthier (as well as some solo singers who are not very popular)

some people in this fandom are truly clammy palmed little lunatics who have never attempted to be normal for a day in their lives. writing reader as having all the characteristics of a literal child whilst claiming that you are engaging in “safe kink” does in fact make you a weirdo freak and i do hope you trip over and bash your head hard enough to knock some sense into yourselves. if calling glorified pedophilic media by its true name makes me a kink shamer then i’m proud to be one! it’s borderline laughable to put an 18+ warning on a fanfic where the reader is so childlike they might as well be a minor. no grown adult is so clueless about sex and basic biology and anatomy unless they have physically been kept from all aspects of the outside world for their entire lives, and infantilising female reproductive organs by calling them “cunny” or “princess parts” is creepy and gross. also using pictures of children and children’s toys/clothing as the header for these fics just further proves that you are deranged and need to be sectioned. you freaks see no problem with the fact that your creepy little perv fics promote weird behaviours and treat pedophilia as a fun kink as if it is not a) illegal and b) DISGUSTING! if anyone in real life called a vagina a cunny i know damn well i would call them a fucking freak so i see no real reason why that shouldn’t extend to the internet: if you write your reader inserts as extremely child-like and use infantilised language to describe sexual organs and acts, you are a fucking freak and need to log off.
+ further explanation.

I'm glad nobody's questioned why Sunset's personality is so different in the AU, but I'll explained anyways. AU Sunset basically has Tempest Shadow's personality. I decided not to adapt Tempest because too many redeemed villains, she doesn't play an important role in the overall story, and her broken horn is so cool and unique to her as a unicorn that any adaptation wouldn't do it justice. So I fused the two together. Sunset's backstory and hotheadedness with Tempest's tired, jaded, anti-social disposition and fighting skills.
Anyways, I hope it's not too jarring of a change. The more I develop Sunset, the more you'll probably notice how OOC she seems. I'll probably end up adopting Sunset into an OC once I'm done with the AU, since she's basically a completely different character.

it's fun because the things that appeal to me most about the three canonical evil clones/twins of hermitcraft are similar, but they're all different.
evil x appeals to me because he is very much Just Some Guy, for all that he's an evil force of nature; when he's sympathetic, it's because he's Just Some Guy who's been shackled to the terrible fate of being "evil", but when he's a villain (like in season eight!), the things that make him villainous also aren't the supernatural aesthetics, but the ways he is also the evil of being just some guy. for all the lightning and thunder and echo of xisuma's appearance, he isn't anyone special. (xisuma is.)
helsknight appeals to me for almost the opposite reason: this isn't just some guy, this is you, explicitly, a demon that possessed your clone and possesses all the things that are bad about you, magnified. he's a mirror, inherently, in his very creation. in the stories where he's a threat, he's menacing because he's a mirror of someone we should like; in the stories where he's sympathetic, we must confront how much of ourselves are also mirrors. (what happens if you don't like what you see in those mirrors, anyway?)
empires!false is somewhere in-between; she's not a mirror but she is the result. she's learning something you'd rather have forgotten about your past, and at her most sympathetic, we feel for the way she's been cast aside so false can 'fix her', the things done to her memory. at her least sympathetic, though, she's reflecting these pains onto others; violence begets violence, and even with it missing, the past begets her. there's no looking at empires!false without seeing the echoes of what false did to her. (there's no looking at false without it either.)
............then they also all appeal to me by being ridiculous failguys but like if you want to be DRAMATIC ABOUT IT, the ways they appeal to me are like the above,

Wild and revolutionary concept: maybe don't treat converts like trash just because they're converts? And also don't ask someone if they're a convert in a public setting?

what's weird about the fantasy high drama is that like. it seems to me like people forget d&d is primarily a) a game you play with your friends and also b) luck based.
I mean it's fine to say that "nothing felt like a challenge" and "they just dominated everything and there weren't any stakes" but like. it's not as if they weren't up against huge threats. they lost the mall fight. the last stand was an onslaught of enemies. they fought a dozen dragons from an airship. the fights were hard. they're just really good. they've had very good dice luck in general this season and are all very high level and highly specialized. fig is gonna beat deception and performance checks. adaine's gonna figure out the arcana. riz is gonna succeed investigations. like. for some reason their strategical competence and wisely picked abilities are. a downside? a disappointment?
the thing about d&d that you need to remember is it's first and foremost a game. it's mostly random and it takes you down weird paths and you're playing to have fun with your friends. the dice are literally telling the story that it's their time, it's their year. they've struggled enough. they've trained enough. they're good at what they do. and in my post about the academic/domestic/personal stressors being the focus, d&d doesn't have any other system to work them out than rolling different skills. that's what d&d is. brennan set specific challenge levels for different tasks and the players strategized to prioritize which abilities they were strongest in. the challenges were there. and the players rose to them. they were both smart in their delegation of responsibilities and lucky with their dice rolls. of which, both are foundations of d&d.
don't mistake them being good players and getting lucky with there being no hardship. just because they smashed through the wall, that doesn't mean the wall wasn't strong. they were just stronger.

leon kennedy headcanons (things he would do that arent positive)(lighthearted/don't take these too seriously)
- he would leave the toilet seat up
- and he would never put the toilet paper roll in the right way
- he'd get up and leave in the middle of any conversation that upsets him (like, in the middle of his partner trying to talk to him about difficult topics)
- he would sneeze/cough like a dad
- he would wear socks until they have holes in the toes
- he would grab you a little too hard when he's nervous about your safety. in that weird helicopter partner way.
- .......passive aggression
- bad at communication. doesn't text or call enough. can't take a compliment.
- emotionally unavailable as fuck
- he would leave a sliver of milk left in the carton and put it back into the fridge instead of just drinking the rest
- on that note; drinks straight out of the bottle or jug. like, standing in front of the open fridge. (I do this too lmao)
- would get mad if you give him gifts that are too expensive.
- mega light sleeper.
- kicks in his sleep.
- I have no evidence to support this but I think this man picks out the veggies in his fried rice.
- doesn't separate the colors in the washing machine
- maybe a little road rage. as a treat.
- wouldn't know the difference between an alligator and a crocodile
- so sweaty. even when he's asleep. sweaty sweaty man.
- wouldn't let you even split the cost of any meal he takes you too. (maybe positive or negative depending on who you are)
- hogs the blanket
- falls asleep during movies sometimes (you're happy he's getting some rest but goddammit leon this is plot relevant dialogue you're missing)
- wouldn't tell you if you have a booger hanging out of your nose
- his feet are so fucking cold leon get your toes off of me I'm gonna die
