Extremely specific scenario time:
Three dwarves - Gotrek Gurnisson, Senshi of Izganda, and Gimli, son of Glóin - are all put into the same room. The room is empty save for one table with three chairs, all appropriately dwarf-sized. None of them have their axes, but there is a loaded gun on the table. None of the three have been instructed on how to use it. The three of them are here to settle one question once and for all:

Hellboy crossovers are not even "crossovers" to me.
Hellboy absolutely belongs in that line-up with those Magical Girls.
He would team-up with Guts/Casca, Gotrek/Felix, and Columbo.
He would be drinking with those boomer-shooter protags.
He would be in that superhero's city.
He would be telling that man the 2 need to kill someone.
Hellboy just fits.

"One hundred and thirty-six times," Khalida said. Her voice was as remorseless as sand scraping stone. "One hundred and thirty-six of her followers have raised armies, fleets, and beasts to hurl themselves against my walls. Sometimes they come north, sometimes east, or south. They come from the sea, and the sky and Great Desert, from the jungles and the mountains. They pour forth in a limitless tide and they are broken on my walls."
She turned the blade, so that the thin ribbon of light now stretching across the horizon caught it.
"And every time, she sends with them a token of her affection, one cousin to another. A lock of her hair, a book of poems by a philosopher of our acquaintance, the crown of Lahmia taken from her husband's head, the amulet of Asaph stolen from my crypt, or…a sword she used to shed my blood.
There is no magic in this thing. It is merely old steel, and badly cared for - still sharp, however. She stole it in order to let me know we had begun the old game again."
"This is not my undoing," Khalida said, holding the sword up. "It is a gift from one player to another. A sign that she has not forgotten me, and to ensure that I do not forget her. In all the world, down through the long corridor of centuries, there has only been this game. And she has been my only opponent. You were right, before, on the walls, when you said you were a puppet. But not of fate…You are her puppet, her pawn, and this is her gambit."

When I started reading this book, I thought it would be amusing to point out all the homoerotic bits. I have to stop though. Because it has too much homoeroticism and out-and-out gay bits to keep up with.
When's he's not constantly being rubbed on by horny men, or threatened with rape and gang rape, he travels around with a half-naked male dwarf who calls him "manling" and protects him from all the semes who want to deflower this poor uke.
