Halloween prompts year 2 day 10
Danny groaned, blearily raising his head from the nest of blankets and pillows he had made in his apartment. He had smelled something strange.
Something strong enough to wake him from his sleep. Danny got up and stumbled to the front door, cursing his luck for getting a fever so soon into his interdimentional road trip.
Peering out of his open doorway he saw a little kid shivering in the cold, badly hidden behind two trash cans in the mouth of an alley. Danny didn't think twice. In fact he didn't think at all. It wasn't uncommon for an Omega to smell a child who didn't have the scent of another Omega on them and immediately claim that child as thier own, and seeing as his home dimension had exclusively Omegas...let's just say there's a lot of drama in family court and a lot of laws pertaining to this.
So of course the next thing Danny knows is that the kid was bundled up inside his very soft and comfy makeshift nest before Danny passed out.
For the next week Danny had this mysterious fever and he acted like a parent on autopilot, barely conscious as he instinctually cared for the little boy. He made them food and cut them up into tiny bits to feed his baby and if it was handfoods like pizza rolls or sandwich triangles, Danny would hold him in his arms and rock his back and forth, humming softly as his child ate.
Eventually his heat ended (note that omegas from his world don't have heats, they don't have alphas and so they don't even know what a heat is) and Danny was very surprised he has a child in his house. But he and the baby are very emotionally attached to one another. When Danny asked what the little kids name was (and man this kid was little) the kid stared at him in the way little kids do before muttering the world "Clone" followed by what sounded suspiciously like a serial number.
Danny decided, nah. His kid now. Sucks to be the bioparent cause Danny doesn't wanna share.
Somewhere in the city, the bats were freaking out. They had raided a lab and discovered not only had one of them been cloned, but the clone had escaped and no one knew where it was. Cue panicked parental frenzy.

Curious about your tags on the dog vocalizations post! Since dogs don’t sweat and panting is a natural but somewhat embarrassing behavior, would you say that items like hand fans are particularly popular to help cool down? Maybe especially in hotter areas or in certain social circles where it would be particularly embarrassing or even hard to hold an important conversation if the heat is making someone pant too much?
I thought about this earlier and I believe so! I'm under the impression that hand fans were fashionable in 16th-17th century Europe so it's not even something I have to add just for the dogs.

There's a small fatty gland that sits behind your sternum and is often said to be 'useless' in adulthood. A recent retrospective study, however, suggests the thymus gland is not nearly as expendable as experts once thought. US researchers found that those who get their thymus removed face an increased risk of death from any cause later in life. They also face an increased risk of developing cancer. The study is purely observational, which means it cannot show that removing the thymus directly causes cancer or other fatal illnesses. But researchers are concerned by their findings. Until we know more, they argue that preserving the thymus "should be a clinical priority" where possible. "The magnitude of risk was something we would have never expected," oncologist David Scadden told Anne Manning at the Harvard Gazette.

The Pineal Gland.
It is the sixth sense as per spiritual science.
It is also called the third eye. The pineal gland is the evolutionary forerunner of the modern eye. This gland synthesizes melatonin and enzymes sensitive to diurnal light. Rhythmic changes in its activity in response to cyclical photic input shows that the gland serves as a biological clock.
A tiny yet powerful part of our brain revered by ancient Egyptians. 🧠
It's said to unlock universal consciousness and transform your life. Compare the Eye of Horus with the pineal gland – notice the striking resemblance?
The deep state has duped us into calcifying our pineal gland with all the toxic crap in our water, food and the air we breath. 🤔

So this is the answer to an ask that @wild-wombytch has sent me, and I chose to answer it in this format because the original ask contains a link to a post that I'd rather not share, to maintain respectful of OP.
Tumblr media
Thank you, I'm fine! and cool that you like the cat pictures ❤️ I'll make a separate post for you just containing cat pictures
Tumblr media
and thank you so much for saying that! ❤️❤️
yeah, so @wild-wombytch refers to a post that deals with a person who got a tumor from HRT. They have made a post in a mainstream trans subreddit and the people on there got mad at them, because they didn't want to recognise the downsides of HRT:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So this is just a whole other level. People hating on OP because they got a brain tumor is so despicable. These people can rot in hell
(Also, if you want to use my post to make fun of OP for having a brain tumor, enjoy getting blocked 🥰 I try to make this a welcoming place for people who are transitioning, detransitioning or having problems with their medical transition. If you can't handle that, please fuck off)
The specific kind of tumor this person is talking about, a pituitary brain tumor, is (as stated) probably linked to HRT in trans women. This reminds me of the myriad of posts by trans women talking about galactorrhea. Galactorrhea refers to the spontaneous lactation without having given birth or breastfeeding a baby, which can occur in women and men. And what is the most common cause for Galactorrhea?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the most common cause of galactorrhea is a benign tumor in your brain. Even though benign tumors are not as dangerous as cancerous tumors, they can still cause severe dysfunction over time, because they can still grow slowly and compress vital areas of the brain. It's definetly not a topic to be joked about.
I was able to find a ton of "I am spontaneously lactating as a trans woman, is this normal"-posts in the span of seconds. Remember: Galactorrhea, a condition that is most commonly caused by a brain tumor. And what are the responses?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
keep in mind: this person probably had not only been lactating, but even had blood in their nipple discarge. Up to a fifth of women who have that sign of discharge have a malignant cause for it - I can't imagine that the prospect for biological males on HRT is much better.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so yeah, instead of telling them to go see their doctor or anything, they link them to r/AdultBreastfeeding - it's a fetish subreddit for people who have a lactation fetish and want to induce lactation.
I mean, a large amount of the stuff I post here is kinda funny and absurd, but if you get a bit deeper in these online echochambers, it gets really dark real quick. Where did we go from "everyone should live their lives as they wish" to "downplaying brain cancer to own the terfs"? And this doesn't mean that every trans woman should immediately stop their HRT just to prevent that from happening. That's not what I'm saying here. I'm just saying that these people genuinely don't seem to care about anything other than their ideology, and even medical professionals are seen as "lying" and "bigoted", and people with brain tumors are accused of "attacking the trans community". How is this not a cult??
Also, I wish the person who made the original post all the best :) I hope they find people who support them and help them heal

Odd question, but since they're both dogs and I imagine smell is important to them, what do Machete and Vasco smell like?
Smells are indeed important to them. I think their sense of smell is definitely more keen than ours but not nearly as extreme as that of real dogs. It would be kind of world/society/behavior breaking if one of their senses was that much above what we as humans can even imagine.
Fur absorbs smells more efficiently than skin, so the environment each person spends most of their time in affects the way they smell (the same way your clothes tend to hold scents from the places you've recently been to).
Machete tends to smell mainly of frankincense, the primary ingredient of the sacred incense burned during worship. Smells are hard to describe but to me frankincense smells sweet, smoky, earthy, citrusy, piney, resinous and woody. Evokes the feeling of sanctity. There's also traces of ink, paper and old books. If he had been treated recently and you got really close and knew to look for it, you might be able to detect the cuts where he was bled.
Vasco uses perfumes skillfully, his favorites contain iris root and damask rose. The mellow scent of his high quality soaps often lingers for quite a while as well. If he's been outdoors, there's a more noticeable hint of leather, as well as moisture, earth, greenery, animals and various other nature smells. Since he's characterized by his vitality, I can't escape the feeling that if you were to put your nose on him, he'd smell like a warm, healthy, living thing even more strongly than people usually do, even if you didn't consciously realize it.
