Mayzuketober, Day 21: Drunk 🥴🎵

...He still couldn't believe he was here.

He rarely went to parties and such, even during his not so long passed college days, he wasn't really the type to go to bars and party all night (even if it was along with friends). And yet, here he was: at a bar alongside a young girl, surrounded by a quite amount of drunk regulars watching TV and chatting nonsense about things he couldn't even catch sometimes.

-Are you really sure you're allowed here, Mayday? -he asked worriedly, lowering is tone as he partially covered his mouth with his hand.

-For the millionth time Zuke! I already told you: I'm 19, so I'm legally allowed to drink! Geez, relax man. You act like you will get arrested just by simply existing here-the younger complained.

The green guy clutched his lips into a thin line, letting out a weird mixed sound of nervousness and frustration. He didn't want to be a killjoy, seriously, he didn't! ...But he just couldn't help himself...

His life may has taken a complete turn after meeting his now bandmate...but part of himself was still stuck in his spinning and unresolved demons...Just like that, another memory of his still vivid past flashed through his head...but it disappeared as soon as he felt a hand bump with a loud *thump!* to his back (making him startled a little and almost spill his glass in the process).

-Come on Zuke! Our practices have been nothing but awesome in these last weeks and that's all thanks to you! -she exclaimed with an ever blinding bright smile- Todays my treat so come on, at least try it! I promise you these drinks are really good! Right Mr. Manu!? -and as she said so, she saluted to the old bartender in front of them.

-haha, I would be out of job if it were the other way around, lil May! -the old man laughed.

A smile formed unconsciously in the drummers face. It was amazing how she seemed to know and get along with almost every person they met, no matter the kind. Taking her words into consideration, the older one looked back at his glass for a minute and finally, tried it out and drank it all in one single shot. The liquor left a burnt sensation on his throat, but overall...it felt really good...incredibly relaxing even.

-haha, told ya! -the younger one cheered.

-Yeah-Yeah, whatever you say-he only replied, but although he tried to sound *serious*, the smile on his face and tone of his voice made it clear that it wasn't really like that.

After a couple more shots, Zuke could feel himself getting more and more relaxed thanks to the liquor. Although light, his cheeks also seemed to get hotter and a warm sensation was crawling slowly through his whole body.

-...There is somethin bothering you, right? -the sudden voice of his companion took him back to reality.

Surprised by her words, he couldn't help but turn his head and look back at her. She wasn't looking at him, only to her glass, with a knowing yet calmed expression...It was a face he had never seen in her before, and that made it all...a bit odder than what already was.

-Don't worry. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to-she reassured him and simply took a sip. The heat on her cheeks seemed to match his own as she continued-...But I still think you should let it out. In a way or another.

The older one stayed silent...Yeah...he may have graduated, and yeah, it may have all ended already...But yet...he still feels uneasy...and that seems to keep causing him trouble in his new life...

he doesn't know what to do anymore...he wishes he could talk about this with her but...he just cant. They are bandmates, yeah, but their bond is not that deep yet. Their friendship is true but...it could also simply be the kindness of a stranger...

While his thoughts circled around his head and a heavy silence dared to form between them, a new but bigger hand fell over his shoulder (and coincidentally over hers too) and shook him once again back to earth.

-hooo-waah! Long time not see lil May-May! -exclaimed a big old man with an outfit pretty much similar to a motor racer.

-oh hey, Mr. Banks!! You came back!! -the blonde girl said, recovering all her cheerfulness immediately.

-hahaha, OF COURSE I WOULD! I always have to come back here! Specially when I get hungry! -expressed the man within hearty loud laughs.

-A-Amm...Mayday...? -the green guy pointed out to the old man, with a tense and nervous expression stuck on his face.

-Oh Zuke! This is Mr. Banks. Leader of the Fire Circle-she simply explained, and then gestured back at him-And Mr. Banks, this is Zuke. My new bandmate!!

-Oh ho, just as I thought. Nice to meet you then Zuke! -he offered him his hand.

-N-Nice to meet you too...-he could just reply as he shook. The man didn't seem like a bad person...but his persona was scary looking enough to keep him tense for the meantime.

-Say boy...can you sing???

-h-huh!? -the sudden question took him by surprise-...Y-Yes sir???

-PERFECT THEN! -and just as he received his unsure toned answer, the old man took him by his shirt and practically placed him like a lamp into a little stage near a side of the bar.

-Woops, forgot to them him about that-Mayday mentioned as she saw Mr. Banks take Zuke there.

The old man really liked to see others sing and improve songs on the spot over rhythms that he come up with and now: Zuke just happened to be the next one to experience this.

The poor guy stood in place, looking like a deer in the headlights for being watched by so many people who now seemed to want nothing more than to hear him sing. Mayday was at a side of the stage and gave him a look of *Sorry for this, do you want me to stop them now?* …Maybe it was the insistent crowd. Maybe it was the simple support and possibility to retreat that his bandmate was willing to offer if he just asked. Or maybe it was just the alcohol already taking control over him and making him do stupid things as always but...he didn't feel like running away from this...

...And as the music that Mr. Banks and his band played intensified, and a certain silhouette appeared into his vision like a daring ghost...the words that were running down his veins came to him like the shot of a bullet.

I've done everything as you say I've followed your rules without question I thought it would help me see things clearly

Although it was like a mere illusion in his head, formed probably due to the alcohol and crushing thoughts on his brain, he felt like he was actually telling *her* all this.

But instead of helping me to see I look around and it's like I'm blinded

Just as he sang, he remember it all: the fear, confusion and dizziness that he felt while trapped in that ever changing room the last time they fought...thinking he may never be able to get out of it...

he was not yet completely lost in the song, so the cheering from Mayday and the crowd alongside his frustration and nervousness made his cheeks feel even hotter than before. For hells sake, what was he doing!!!?

Just as before, *her* figure came to him, now a clear copy of when they were once fine and in love together...

To let me know I'm not alone But in fact, that's exactly what I was

...just to abruptly return to her *actual* self, the one that had pushed him into a madness room and almost burnt him down without even noticing or caring.

his anger was still present in his voice, but as he kept singing, said anger seemed to fade away...he had finally acknowledged it...and said it all loud and clear, to himself...and to the world around him. Even if in said world, *she* wasn't a present part anymore.

Is it a mystery? Is it a mystery?

Now that there wasn't nothing else battling inside him, he could actually feel like...enjoying the song. hey! he may have used the tune to let out all these feelings in the lyrics, but that doesn't mean the music itself wasn't a banger!!

Before he even knew it, Mayday was already on the stage with him, singing and moving along the beat, with a bright smile that matched his own for how much fun this was. It wasn't planned and both of them probably didn't even know what was happening around them, but that was fine. They didn't care anyway as the music continued.

The frenetic song had now ended, but silence never came back to the room, because soon enough, everyone was cheering and clapping for one of the best *improve shows* that Mr. Banks had ever made so far for the regulars here to enjoy.

-hey you sing really well! how come you never told me!? -Mayday exclaimed excitedly over the cheers.

-I do??? Oh well...I haven't done it in front of so many people before. Actually...I don't even remember when it was the last time I did-Zuke could only say, still not quite believing what he just did and almost out of breath.

-haha, maybe you should do the vocals AND drum from now on eh!

-No way! I'm not drunk enough to agree to that! -he quickly intervened, scared by the mere thought of that.

-haha, but you ARE drunk enough to sing in front of a crowd right now!? -the blonde funnily pointed out.

-hey come on!! Don't tease me May!!! -the older one complained, but his smile lacked of any kind of true anger and only showed cheerfulness.

The crowed laughed and soon, they did too. The lights were too bright, he was all sweaty and his throat hurt a little for how much force he used when singing but...he felt lighter. The more lighter he has felt in YEARS. And finally, after what it seemed almost like an eternity to him: ...he forgot about Nadia.

NSR AMA File 2 (part 2)

If B2J and the bosses have shadow animals like DK West what would they be? DISCLAIMER NONE OF THIS IS CANON. Sayu is a cat (Ellie's answer shocked Daim). Zuke is a zucchini. Mayday is a lemur (like King Julien). Eve is platypus(Ellie)/octopus(Daim)/peacock(Haz)???

Tatiana's broadcast after the DJSS fight was 3D projected instead of 2D animated, any particular reason why? Just a production choice, it was easier and more effective. It was inspired a bit by Space Channel 5's first boss, which also had the final boss show up on a monitor.

Any plans to do spin-off medias light LNs etc.? No plans so far. NSR is something they hold dearly so it'll be hard for them to find creators to partner with. They'll be very strict on who can nail the spirit of NSR.

Were there any NPCs that didn't make it into the game? There were a couple, like a beggar and a witch doctor who can predict the future (but none of them happens in the game).

Ellie's least favorite character to design? 1010 but only because she thinks she's not good at drawing guys and she hates drawing robots. The reason NJ and 1010 have butt plates is thanks to Ellie referencing Ben's gundam models. Also Ellie's favorite 1010 is Blue because she likes the hairstyle, the sunglasses, and the color blue.

Ben's most/least favorite character to animate? Least favorite is Eve, he thinks he didn't do a good enough job with her. Most favorite is 1010, the shuffle is fun to animate.

Will there be a Malay dub for NSR? They want to but time and money do be like that, also they want it to be great and local talents aren't enough.

What is the studio thinking of doing next? SURPRISE FREE CHRISTMAS DLC! New character designs, christmas-themed boss arenas, and christmas remixes for the soundtracks. Also MERCH TIME!!! DJ Sub hoodie is in the works.

Why are all of Tatiana's clocks set to 8:21? It's a sad clock face (like how 10:10 is a happy face). It's a total coincidence that August 21st is the death of the American soprano, Tatiana Troyanos.

Inspiration for Vinyl City's design? The districts are tied to the charter's personalities. DJSS's area looks the least maintained because he doesn't pay too much attention to its development. As you progress the more it gets flashier and fancier because the bosses progressively give their districts more funding. Yinu looks like a rose and her mother is very protective of her, which is why there are domes with plants inside everywhere in the district. The Plaza area is influenced by Malaysian urban architecture.

Does Neon J see 1010 as his children? It wasn't planned, but they love the fanon concept. If a sequel happens they can adopt the idea. (Daim says it's adorable, and 1010 would also see him as a father figure.)

Were character animations lipsynced for every language? They recorded English first, but there are some parts of the game they couldn't record in time. So it was like midway English but then the JP schedule came barreling in so they had to record Japanese first. The timing ended up being weird. Unfortunately, they had to cut French and Japanese voices to match the English version because the English version is the most accurate one.

Where is Vinyl City on the globe? Does it get monsoons? They'd like to keep the area fictional for now. It's definitely on Earth since the solar system is the same.

Why does Eve have two skintones? She was born with it. The progression of Eve from childhood to adulthood is a journey from self-hatred to self-love.

Why does Zuke collect toilet seats? It's an inside joke. They had a friend in high school who likes to put toilet seats on their friend's chairs. Whenever Ellie gets the opportunity she will slip a toilet seat into the game. Toilets became a recurring joke between them.

Does 1010 boys have different positions? (Daim: that's a cool question, but we have no actual answers.) Ellie and Haz think Green is the rapper.

Did you have any scrapped ideas for music genres? Probably no because the genre was not the main focus when they first designed the bosses. They started with themes and trends in the music industry instead of the genre. Fun fact for DJSS, at every phase he had a whole paragraph of lectures.

How old is Kliff and what does he do? He's around Tatiana's age or even older, past 50. What he does is undecided, they won't lock that in yet.

What is DJ Zam's neck tattoo? Love Mom tattoo (Ellie's answer). DJ Zam loves his mom!

Does Yinu's mom turn into a giant tree monster out of anger towards B2J or is it an effect of her husband's death? The tree design is part of her, not just because of anger. Their family has a strong connection to flowers and plant motifs.

Neon J's skill upgrade is specified to be napalm? It just sounded cool.

Thought process behind designing Eve and timeline between the Rupturika festival and Eve joining NSR? Daim started the two-tone design for Eve. In her initial design she's wearing a simple collar shirt and pants, like office wear. Ellie made it a bit more weird, so she added the jacket (Ariana Grande), leotard (Beyonce), and pasties. Eve had multiple limbs (Bjork) from the beginning of conception. No lore locked in for Rupturika.

What first sparked the creation of NSR? Haz had the idea first. He wanted to make a game based on music that isn't a rhythm game. Music is a universal language, so there must be something they can do with it. They always play with rhythm and beats but never with other aspects of music, like its rules. They're also inspired by underdog stories like Gurren Lagann. From there Daim fleshed out the characters. The idea was birthed around 2014 while in Japan.

How did Zuke know how to do mechanics stuff like workshop upgrades? Zuke learns and reads a lot, not just about music but also his side interests. He's a naturally inquisitive character. Zuke was the one who implemented Mayday's guitar canister.

Since Neon J's head is a monitor, does he have a brain? He still has a brain, his internal organs are still inside. (Daim: his brain is squished in the monitor? Haz: they took his brain and squished it into his butt plate- NOT CANON)

Qwasa converting music into energy? There was an argument between Daim and Aidi. Aidi wanted the lore to be more grounded, like the Qwasa being a crystal. Daim didn't think it was necessary to explain the "science". In the end it worked out for the game's storytelling.

Which NSR bosses are introverts and extroverts? Introverts: Eve, DJSS (could be ambi), Zuke, Sayu (4 introverts in one). Extroverts: Neon J, DK West, Mayday.

Can Neon J see? How does he see with his sonar head? Daim doesn't want to answer that now, but Haz says it would be cool if he's blind. Neon J is a bit self-conscious, so he only got the courage to take the spotlight in the battle with B2J.

Gadzooks - zukes...

...zucchinis that is. Use one or two colors of this veg that is so versatile as a main dish ingredient, shines as a side dish, or rounds out the meal as a dessert component. Slice them, saute them, then add some fresh lemon slices on top to brighten the flavor. Light...simple...nutritious...fast...that’s what makes this best.

2 T. olive oil

3 green zucchini, sliced

3 yellow zucchini, sliced

dash salt

dash ground pepper

water as needed

lemon slices

In a shallow fry pan, begin sauteing zucchini. Add salt and pepper. As zucchini is nearly tender, add a couple tablespoons water then place lemon slices on zucchinis and cover to steam. When zucchinis are tender, enjoy!

Abandonment Burns (Zimelu x Zuke)

Teen and up audiences! Features implied abuse and violence, nightmares, panic attacks.

Hurt/Comfort- Angst with happy ending

Zuke has a nightmare, Zimelu, his boyfriend, helps

Below the cut!

"Zuke… I wanna show you something.”

Zuke followed Zimelu down the twisting, winding halls of Barraca Mansion, through various random doors. The android always seemed to be a step ahead, he’d turn a corner, just to barely catch Zimelu’s red glow fading as he dashed down another corridor. He’d be completely lost by now if his boyfriend didn’t glow in the dark.

"C'mon babe! This way!" Zimelu called, his synthesized voice echoed through the halls.

"I'm trying! Slow down!" Zuke yelled, sprinting as best as he could.

It seemed as though the hallway stretched out endlessly as he moved. A single door ahead at the end, which Zimelu was poking his head out of. "In here~" he teased, before disappearing into the room and closing the door.

Zuke kept running, why wasn't the door getting closer? He was moving, right?

He looked over his shoulder, the door behind him got farther and farther away. So he WAS moving.

Just as he turned his head to look forward again, he ran into the door full force.

The impact apparently made the door fall forward into the room as the force of Zuke hitting it ripped it from the hinges.

Zuke expected to hit the floor with a hard thud. But instead, he fell.

Everything darkened around him as he fell into the abyss.

He fell for several seconds, then hit the floor.

It was at that moment, he realized, he was lost.

He couldn't see anything, just pitch blackness all around him.

He walked aimlessly through the darkness, his every step echoed like he was in a cave. The air was chilly, not enough to freeze, but just enough to be uncomfortable.

He hugged himself and rubbed his arms to warm up.

"Zimelu? Are you here?"

No response.

"Uh… Zim Zim? Babe? Where are you?"

No response.

"C'mon man, this isn't cool, you're starting to scare me here.."

The room began to illuminate, but only slightly, the light still dim.

In the limited light, he could make out the colors of the large room's walls and floor.

Half was white, half was... pink.

Oh no. No no no no.

"Zuke." A voice called. His breath caught in his throat. He turned around.

Standing before him… was Eve.

Her eyes… they were a familiar, piercing green that bore through him.

"N-Nadia? What are you doing here?"

"Ugh, Zuke. It's just like you to run away and hide, isn't it?" Her face contorted into a stern, disgusted expression.

"..What?"

"Look at yourself, Zuke. Is this really what you want?"

"Nadia, I don't know what you're talking about." He earnestly said in a weary voice.

"You ran from me. I loved you, yet you ran away and left me behind."

"Look, Eve, I- I already said I was sorry. And I meant it too!"

"What about your brother? You disowned him." She pointed at him accusingly.

"I.. I did say that.. But I didn't mean it! We made up! We're talking again!"

He loved his brother!

"Who else will you abandon, Zuke?"

"No one! I don't just- run away from people anymore! I-!"

His heart raced. He was treating people better, standing his ground. He was better, wasn't he?

He tried to reach out to Eve,

"How long until you abandon him too?" But he was halted in his tracks.

Without any hints, he knew who she was talking about.

"I won't run from him. I've learned from my mistakes. I don't want to hurt him by being a coward..!" The chill had faded a while ago. Was it warmer all of the sudden?

"Oh, but you've already hurt him, haven't you?"

The revolution. He and Mayday did their damage, he won't deny that.

He couldn't ignore the fact that he ripped the 1010 men's bodies apart.

"That was before…" his eyes welled up. His chest panged with guilt.

"Before you cared? You didn't have any problems destroying him over and over again when you first met. He's replaceable, Zuke. Why care now?"

The room's temperature got hotter. Zuke felt clammy all of the sudden.

"You're wrong! I mean, sure, he can be rebuilt at the factory, but his memories and feelings are the same! You can replace his body, but you can't replace him."

Heat rose to his cheeks, though he couldn't tell if it was just the room or if his feelings had to do with it.

"I was one of a kind. I am the only one like me, yet you still jilted me. You left me alone in this forsaken world."

The room got hotter, now he was sweating. And he noticed the room getting brighter. Illuminated in a red and orange glow, with a little bit of yellow sprinkled in. The light flickered and wavered like it was moving.

"Zuke…" a familiar robotic voice warbled behind him.

His eyes widened, briefly, elated at the sound of Zimelu's voice. He spun to greet him.

Only to be met with a burning light, as a terrifying sight stood before him. Zimelu stalked towards him, the android's body was completely engulfed in flames. Zimelu reached out for him, but Zuke flinched back, already feeling the intense heat without touching him.

"B..baby! I'm..h-here! C-Commmmeeee..hereee!"

His voice glitched as he spoke, already reaching for Zuke again. Zuke dodged Zimelu's flaming hands.

He turned away from Zimelu, and ran. He couldn't let himself burn!

"Zzz-Zuke! D...D-Don't.. L..eave.. M..Me!" He begged.

Zuke could hear heavy metal footsteps rapidly approaching.

It was only a few seconds before he felt a hand grab his hair, yanking him backwards as an intensely hot hand pulled at the blue locks.

Zuke was pulled off the ground, held up painfully by his hair, to meet Zimelu's burning face.

He could feel his hair rapidly burning, the fire spreading to his scalp. Not again! He flailed and tried to pry Zimelu's fingers open. But the combination of Zimelu's metallic strength, and now the burning in his hands, trying to free himself was no use.

He desperately tried to escape, the smell of burning hair threw him into panic.

Zimelu grabbed his wrist.

Zuke screamed.

The fire began spreading to the rest of his body.

Tears flowed rapidly down his face as he cried in anguish and begged Zimelu to release him.

"Z-Zimelu! Please! STOP! Let me go- YOU'RE HURTING ME!!"

Zuke shot up and screamed. Now in a different room, in a bed that was not his own.

Dripping with sweat, he desperately tried to gain his bearings.

The room was bathed in a red glow.

"Zuke?" Called a voice nearby.

He screamed and threw himself onto the floor to escape the covers. He backed himself into a corner. His voice! The red light! The burning! Was he still burning!?

His surroundings blurred around him and the voice sounded muffled. His vision was a swirling mess of dark blacks and blues with red and silver shapes mixed in.

He was hyperventilating. He couldn't breathe! Why couldn't he breathe!?

"Ss...u….?" A muffled syllable breached through the ringing in Zuke's ears, and the red shapes in his vision grew brighter and larger.

"Zu...!" It played again.

"ZUKE!"

He gasped!

He felt firm hands on his shoulders. He blinked, vision clearing slightly.

He could make out a familiar glowing mohawk and matching red eyes.

"Zuke! What's wrong?" Zimelu's voice pierced through clear as day.

"I-! I!" Zuke choked out, still barely taking in air.

"Zuke, baby. You have to breathe. Breathe, Zuke. In and out. C'mon!"

"I.. I can't-!" He gasped small bits of air, his voice broken.

Zimelu gripped his face, his thumbs caressing Zuke's cheeks.

"You can do it. Just in and out okay? In and out. Close your eyes."

Zuke did as he was told. His eyes squeezed shut.

"C'mon now, in.." Zuke inhaled a shaky breath through his nose, slowly filling his lungs with air.

"..and out." Zuke exhaled through his mouth, still shaking. His mouth quivered as he continued to breathe with Zimelu's guidance.

He felt cool, smooth thumbs wipe tears from his face.

His breathing more controlled, he blinked his eyes open, the face of his robotic boyfriend was the first thing he saw. Wide-eyed, and his neon light dimmed.

"Z... Zimzim?" He murmured.

"That's right Zukey. It's me..I'm here."

Zuke trembled. His eyes slowly panned over his surroundings.

Nightstand… window… curtains… bed… NSR posters...tv.. Black and red decor… a vase of fake roses made of stained glass… red glass petals with white stems… and white glass petals with black stems.. The only light came from the moon outside and Zimelu's body.

This was Zimelu's room. He spent the night here.

His eyes met Zimelu's. Red glowing eyes darted around over Zuke's features as if inspecting them.

Zuke's trembling hands reached out to touch Zimelu's face.

Zuke's ruby eyes locked with Zimelu's.

Zuke's fingers smoothed over Zimelu's features. His glowing cheeks, his metal nose, his glowing hair. The artificial strands were soft against his fingers.

Zuke's eyes welled up.

"... Oh my god.." He murmured, his tone trembled.

He pulled Zimelu into a hug. He buried his face into the robot's shoulder.

Zimelu held Zuke firmly as the man's body shook with sobs.

Zuke's agonized wails were slightly muffled, the vibrations of the sounds reverberated in Zimelu's body.

It was like all of Zuke's turmoil was being poured into him.

Zimelu rocked Zuke back and forth as they sat on the floor together. He rubbed circles on Zuke's back.

Zuke held him tighter.

He began whispering soft nothings into Zuke's ear to comfort him.

(Happy Halloween everyone!! Been a little while but I'm doing swell...! Depression ain't got nothing on me! Is that a double negative? Anyway, as a treat with no tricks, have a fanfiction written for my stunning girlfriend @queenticklusselena. She's the best and deserves the best.)

Guitar Lessons

"Tatiaaaanaaaa!"

Tatiana gasped, being brought out from the mountains of paper work. She didn't realize when the sunset melted into her windows how late it was. With the glimmer of the sun struggling to stay light while it disappears beyond the tall buildings of the city, Tatiana knew she worked more than five hours lost in letters and numbers. Nonetheless, with a shake of her head and a sip from her now cold coffee, she looked over to a screen, showing who was outside her office.

There stood Mayday, beaming into the camera like it had asked her to say cheese. Her big eyes and flashy grin showed she was ecstatic for something. Tatiana pressed a button and spoke.

"Mayday, what brings you here?"

"Uuh guitar lessons!? Zuke is out today and I called this morning! Remember? I wanna learn from the ultimate legend Kuul Fyra!!"

With little rummaging in her head, Tatiana found the memory and sighed. How could she forget? Well, a break maybe could be needed. After all, she wouldn't want to fall short of steam when she was so close to being done with managing the power of the whole city. She pressed another button, initiating a click of a lock.

Mayday burst in like the remaining sunlight, whooping and jumping. "Yes yes yes yes! Oooh man I cant wait to learn from your BEST songs!! Like like Green Thumbs, Fire Tongues! Flash Like A Sun and You're Already A Star! Or or or!"

She pulled up a record mid breath intake, it showing Tatiana's younger self with her famous guitar, the flames of hell behind her licking all over the cover.

"Life Can Be Hell, Thank God! That one is LE-GEN-DAR-Y!!"

"Alright alright take a breath," Tatiana giggled. She admitted it was adorable to see her to excited. It reminded her of herself right before a show. Nervous jitters, shaky knees and fingers, heart about to tear from her chest… but more than anything, ready to take the world on by storm. She would never diminish this feeling from such a young and talented artist.

With Mayday finally caught up with her lungs, Tatiana went to a closet and pulled out a purple guitar. It has a triangle shape at the end, silver strings, lavender flames and what looked like rubies lining the edge. Mayday gasped in with a squeak.

"The guitar from your second release…!"

"Mmhmm. Jasmine. Been with me since the beginning."

Tatiana rubbed the body of her guitar before taunting the strings. Still beautiful as ever. Felt so right in her hands, what made her go into music in the first place. "Shall we?"

"YES!! I kept on holding my breath on every minute because I thought my breath was slowing down time!!"

Laughing, Tatiana put herself on her chair as Mayday plopped herself on the desk, knocking over papers. A sigh escaped, but at least that would be the least troubling thing to happen today. Or… she thought.

During their lessons, Mayday kept on taking the spotlight, did little pranks like glitter bombing the guitar case, being a little butt the whole afternoon. The girl must still have all sorts of energy from waiting endlessly. … Poor girl. She has to get those out somehow, right?

After another glitter bomb and a fourth helping of laughter from Mayday, Tatiana forced one with her and put her guitar on the table and wiped herself off.

"Let's take a break, shall we?"

"Yeah, if you want!"

Mayday followed suit, leaning on the desk and dropping the guitar on it. Tatiana shook her head and picked up the guitar again.

"We'll take a break from playing, but you need to work on your posture."

"My posture? I'm not some frou frou…!"

"No," Tatiana agreed. "But posture is very important. Take it from… er… well from Kuul Fyra."

Mayday had been a fan since she had her first song out. If anything, Mayday wouldn't trade this moment for any amount of money or burgers. Then again, she COULD just use the money to get burgers and technically she would have both BUT she still wouldn't give that up.

"Okay yeah yeah! Posture!"

"Now," the white woman began. "Set apart your feet so they match where your shoulders are. This creates a permanent stability."

Mayday did as she was told, looking at her shoulders and then feet to see if they were perpendicular, then nodded.

"Got it!"

"Place the strap on the opposing shoulder of your dominant hand."

"Psssh old school, I know that…!"

"Then show me."

Mayday swiftly did with a grin on her face until she heard Tatiana tisk away.

"What? What what? What's wrong?"

"See, you have your guitar away from you like it's a disease. Is your guitar a disease?"

"No no no! I love it! I love it so much!"

"Then act like it. Push it close to you, hug it, know it. And the strap here, make sure it hits right between your neck and shoulder right here."

Tatiana pressed the spot, making Mayday squeak and snort out before slamming her hands onto her face rather loudly with a roaring blush. "Is something wrong?"

There was no way Mayday was going to let Tatiana know she was ticklish. This was KUUL FYRA! What would she think? What if she thought she was too childish to be something huge? What if she was too childish to even be taught?

"Gah, uh nothing! Nah everything's chill!"

"... Mmhmm." Tatiana sounded uncertain but she knew. In fact, she hoped it was true. She begged to the lords above for this orange bundle of excitement was ticklish. "Anywho, next your torso."

"What? Like my gut?"

"Not just your gut. Your sides need to be free and loose."

With that, Tatiana put her giant hands on Mayday's sides and squeezed. That time, Mayday couldn't contain it and let out squeal like a pig and then an uproar of laughter as she wobbled about. "Now your tension should not be held in your torso. See how tense you are? No you shouldn't be holding any tension at all. Now up here is important."

Tatiana wiggled up to her ribs, Mayday cackling out. Tatiana's big hands were a lee's worst nightmare, she's heard Zuke say. Poor man could blush from saying t-word. However, she didn't believe him with that until now. It didn't feel like her sides were only being invaded, but her whole nervous system.

"Staahahahahahaaap!! T-Tahahahatiheeheeheehee!! Pleeheeheeheease!"

"The ribs held the angle. You may think the spine helps with that, however, your ribs are a structure to not be tampered with by any stress. NOW we get to your gut."

"Pleeheeheheeease noohohohohoo!!" the freckled girl begged with a jerk, but Tatiana's warm hands went to her stomach nonetheless. Mayday screamed and doubled over, Tatiana only following.

"You MUST stay still, Mayday…! You wanted lessons, didn't you? Now the gut is very important in this instance. The vibrations from the strings go right to there and travel to the spine."

While squeezing her stomach with one hand, she used the other to have one finger go up and down her spine. The poor girl shrieked again and fell to her knees, flopping like a fish out of water.

"PLEEHEEHEEEEHEEHEEASE STAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAP!!!!"

"Like that. If a chord doesn't feel right, you'll tell by not only your ears, but your body as well. However, there is one part of the torso we haven't talked about and it's the most useful to not only musicians, but humans overall."

With that, Tatiana dug her fingers up into Mayday's pits. With a scream, she roared out as she pressed her arms firm to her sides, shaking her head as her braided pigtails were on the loose. Her whole torso was quaking with this ticklish vibrations. Now that Tatiana was using that as an example, it's all she could think. She couldn't help but imagine it was the guitar tickling her in some sense or another.

"TATIAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! K-KUHUHUHUHU!! NOOOHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

"The armpits are the natural luggage, they carry things when our hands are not idle. Anything really. You need to not take them for granted or you'll forget them."

"PLEEHEEHEEASE STAHAHAHAHAAP!!! PLEEHEEHEEHEEASE PLEEHEEHEEEEHEEAAHAHAHAHAASE STAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAP!!"

Tatiana let off a slight giggle, toying around for a few minutes more before letting up after shuffling her hands from Mayday's tight grip. The girl fell into a panting giggling heap on the floor, coughing and swallowing air before sitting up slightly.

"Well I look forward to next week's lesson."

"W-week…!?"

"It's what you said you wanted on the phone call," Tatiana gave an oh so innocent smile. "How could I refuse from my number one fan?"

Mayday blushed but couldn't help but smile. She admitted, Tatiana was more than an idol now to her. With her, it was like a motherly quality she never knew she could have. Picking up her guitar, she walked to the elevator before Tatiana called out. "Oh, Mayday?"

"Yeah?"

"Be sure to send Zuke in for his piano lessons tomorrow. I can not wait to tickle the ivories with him."

NSR: My Headcanon of Neon J.

- He's the only member of NSR who doesn’t have power because it’s secret. After Music Revolution as every night as everyone’s asleep, he went outside to secret base as he shown his power an secret.

- He was sneaky and mischievously for his friends’ private and secret while they’re gone. As he records it while he feeling funny as he knows.

- He was very worried about his secret talent due to Social and Sexual Anxiety, Self-Image, Stage Fright as Glossophobia (Fear of Speaking in Public), and losing of Self-Control as triggered PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) while he was alone. As he lies around stuff in paranoid as he is always hiding it from everyone else…

- He’s very uncomfortable about something’s not right, he tries to warn his friends about what he says, then shows what Neon J said about what happened. Also, he officially doesn’t like his male friends acting weird and no reason even Zuke and DJ Zam’s Valley Redemption.

- Secretly, Neon J was highly skilled in chemistry, technology, music, art, and time as highly intelligent of all subjects, mostly mathematical and languages. Also, he created the instruments, even Zuke’s drumsticks.

- Neon J’s true powers were Elemental-Power Manipulation and Mixture, Elemental-Power Manipulation as the same as NSR Artists’ Power but mixture. Water-Space Manipulation (Purl-Hew’s Water Manipulation and DJ Subatomic Supernova’s Space Manipulation) Nature-Reality Manipulation (Eloni’s Nature Manipulation and Sayu’s Reality Manipulation) Electricity-Soul Manipulation (Haym’s Electricity Manipulation and Yinu’s Soul Manipulation) Fire-Mind Manipulation (Zimelu’s Fire Manipulation and Eve’s Mind Manipulation) Cold-Time Manipulation (Rin’s Cold Manipulation and Tatiana’s Time Manipulation)

- His food obsession was Coleslaw, Green Sauce, Gummy Candy, and 5 Colored Food.

- Neon J acting normal as he’s knows himself for not soldier, then he acting soldier due to have PTSD as trigger even he heard broke Yinu’s Piano as started trigger.

- He can see and hear everything as controlling 1010 but sometimes he controls their vision and hearing but poor level.

- His music weapon was Communication Baton which Neon J’s weapon used to conduct to instruments as control as filled in magic from Neon J’s Magic Manipulation. Signal Microphone which Neon J’s weapon used to transducer as speak/vocal to people as control as filled in science from Neon J’s Science Manipulation.

- Neon J’s redemption is that music was passion and family was important while he was fixing 1010. For different reason was some do it for change themselves, they change the world.

- Reason of Neon J rapping was rather than singing, he can’t control his singing voice.

- He was an outside extrovert and inside introvert while outside order and inside chaos.

- His voice was changed like 1010 when he sometimes stronger of emotions.

- He got 1010′s Loyalty, Empathetic, Communication, Chaos, and Sometimes Disobedience as Rin’s Gentlemanly, Zimelu’s Aggravate, Purl-Hew’s Enlightenment, Haym’s Dynamic, and Eloni’s Possibility.

good evening nsr community, i went through the ama from today and came back with an armful or two of lore. there’s a bunch more than last time, and i included bbj as well as the npcs. cozy up, check under the cut, and prepare for a long read. enjoy!

today's ama featured wan hazmer and daim dziauddin again, as well as concept artist ellie and animator ben fong.

BUNK BED JUNCTION (FT. DK WEST)

- mayday and zuke live in the sewers because they're an underground band. it's a pun - there were originally two variations of bbj leaving the sewers - one with mayday hi-fiving gigi (which had a 95% chance of happening), and one with zuke awkwardly fumbling and attempting to hi-five gigi (which had a 5% chance) - one of the inspirations for mayday and zuke were the two main characters of samurai champloo (zuke was jin, mayday was mugen) - someone asked about if the rest of the cast had their own shadow puppets. ben suggested a lemur for mayday, while ellie suggested a zucchini for zuke. she may have been joking. - mayday's guitar solos were done by different people, but zuke's drum solos were all done by bruno valverde. - zuke was the one who implemented the canister thing into mayday's guitar. - someone asked who of the cast are the introverts and who are the extroverts. mayday is an extrovert, zuke is an introvert. - the team does have a bit of lore for mayday and zuke and how they met, but they want to save it in case of a future project. - mayday was inspired by both genevieve from company of thieves and the unbreakable kimmy schmidt. - ben did the animation for mayday swinging the hammer in the workshop. - haz recalls seeing some fanart of mayday being brought up as a rich girl. he doesn't remember the artist, but he does like the idea. - the japanese version has zuke say he has a phd rather than a master's degree. this is apparently a mistake. - the pattern on zuke's pants was inspired by jolyne cujoh and prosciutto from jojo's bizarre adventure. - zuke's toilet seat collection came partially from a story from one of the environmental artists where one of their high school friends pranked another friend with a toilet seat. - zuke does a lot of reading and is naturally inquisitive about things like tech and mechanics. - dk west's shadow puppet abilities might run in the family, and zuke may have it as well. - both zuke and dk west are connected by percussion (zuke with the drums, west with the hand claps) - zuke and west weren't always designed to be related -- west was originally designed as "some guy who comes and goes," but was made into zuke's brother later on in production - dk west is an extrovert.

DJ SUBATOMIC SUPERNOVA

- djss' dj name is obviously a stage name, but the team didn't have a real name for him in the script or anything. - haz joked that his name is bob salad. that's not canon but from what i seen the chat loved it lol - haz brings up the symbolism of djss spinning the planets around himself and how it represents that he thinks of himself as the center of the universe. - ellie helped design the districts, and something she noted about dj's is that it's supposed to look the "slummiest" because he cares more about himself and less about things like blackouts. - dj had some lines cut from his boss fight. those lines? mini lectures towards bbj during every phase. they were cut because the team felt like they were too much for the game, but they want to share them one day. - daim says that dj could be either introverted or extroverted becuase of how much time he spends alone looking at the stars. - dj was never planned to have an approach segment, but funk fiction wasn't told that, so he made him an approach theme anyway. - dodo ice pops are traffic light flavoured, which is a popular ice cream in malaysia. it's strawberry, pineapple, and lime flavored.

SAYU AND THE NERD SQUAD

- three of sayu's creators were based on staff members at metronomik. remi (voiced by ben) was based on one of the programmers and one of the environmental artists (ellie calls him "the lovechild of two dudes"), tila was based on (and voiced by) ellie herself, and dodo was based on danish mak (another environmental artist who also voices him). - sofa wasn't based on anyone in particular, he was more of a "general otaku guy" according to ellie (though haz joked that ellie could just say he was based on him). - dodo is daim's favorite npc -- he also designed him! - sayu was ellie's favorite character to design. she loves drawing mermaids. - the progression in sayu's fight where you go deeper into the "ocean" is supposed to be a metaphor for going deeper into the internet/the deep web. - ellie suggested that if sayu were to have a shadow puppet, it would be a cat. - as for the introvert/extrovert debate, daim says sayu is technically comprised of 4 introverts. sayu herself is the extrovert mask they wear. - sayu's ahoge is a submarine periscope. remi looks through it in one of the cutscenes. - sayu's not a mech. she's remotely controlled by her creators from their computer room. - the backstory between remi and tila is meant to show that artists can come from all sorts of backgrounds.

YINU AND MAMA

- yinu's promotional video was one of the first ones done before they brought in lzbros, so it originally looked different from how it looks in the game now. - yinu's mother's eyes are yellow because she spends most of the fight focusing on yinu (who is mainly yellow). when her eyes go blank white, it represents that she's momentarily forgotten what she loves the most. when her eyes become yellow again after the fight, it means she's remembered yinu and her piano playing. - the way ellie describes natura is that yinu is a plant and her mother is very protective of her, and one of the distinctive features is that there are a lot of domes with plants inside, particularly on the roofs of the houses. - yinu's commercial was not intended to reference little miss fortune. the commercial was shown in 2018, while LMF came out a year later. - yinu's mom turning into a giant tree monster isn't exclusive to her just being angry at bbj. apparently the whole plant thing runs in the yinu family.

1010

- 1010's concept as a boy band had been around since before the team started production, but they were the last to be fully designed -- their designs weren't finalized until way later on. - 1010 were ellie’s least favorite characters to design. she doesn't like drawing guys OR robots. - 1010's early designs had them wearing tuxedos. - 1010 do have memories. - the inspiration for the butt plates came from one of ben's gundam figures from his collection in the metronomik office. thanks ben. - ellie's favorite member of 1010 is purl-hew/blue. - eloni/green is apparently the rapper of the group. - the jingle you hear from the carousel in metro division is a carnival remix of 1010's boss theme. - the numbers underneath 1010's names on the autographs are completely random.

NEON J

- neon j is a dancer. daim explains that in addition to being in the navy, dance has always been his true passion. - in the final phase of 1010's fight, he was originally supposed to control the dance moves of the factory as he was fighting you, but it was cut due to limited resources. - daim designed neon j based on ellie's designs for 1010. - neon j's factory's dance moves were all animated by ben -- no mocap needed. the factory was also his favorite thing to animate. - daim says that "neon j is to tatiana as soundwave is to megatron." basically he is extremely loyal to tatiana. - neon j was one of earliest members of nsr. - neon j seeing 1010 as his sons wasn't planned, but daim loves the concept so much that he could see it being canon. - daim says neon j's brain is "probably" still inside the monitor head. somehow. - neon j is an extrovert. - haz likes the idea of neon j being blind and using his sonar to "see" things. ben joked that the screen worked like giant glasses. - neon j originally had red dots that would pop up on his face when the sonar moved by that were meant to represent acne, and that would've been the reason why he's mostly behind the scenes.

EVE

- in mayday's side of the room when eve splits up bbj, the hands all over the walls are meant to be there to show how eve is angrier at mayday than she is at zuke. - the time signature for the music in mayday's room during the fight is 6/8, whereas in zuke's room it's 4/4. - ellie suggested a platypus shadow puppet for eve. the rest of the team seems to be on board. - eve was ben's least favorite character to animate. he said he struggled with animating her dance moves because it was something he'd never done before, and he still doesn't think he did a good enough job. - eve was born with her split skin tone. - apparently eve's near scrapping had something to do with costs. haz was the one who stopped it from happening. - eve's outfit was partly inspired by beyonce, while her jacket was partly inspired by ariana grande. the team took some inspiration from bjork, as well. - the sleeves on eve's jacket were apparently limbs at one point. - eve is an introvert.

NPCS/OTHER CHARACTERS

- part of tatiana's symbolism is how she used to be a rock star, but her flame/passion slowly burned away, and now she's just a rock, referencing how she was literally on fire as the rock star kul fyra, but now looks burnt out. - daim thinks kliff is older than tatiana, probably over 50. - in addition to the neon j dance lore mentioned above, kayane rambling about neon j after the 1010 fight was supposed to be connected to her watching neon j dance. - ben and haz's favorite npc is mia, and ellie's is dj zam. - dj zam was inspired by one of ellie's college friends, who she says "makes you feel comfortable to be around". - ellie thinks dj zam's neck tattoo says "i love mom". - amal the unicorn was inspired by lady amalthea from the 80's animated film "the last unicorn". he was originally written to be a real talking unicorn, but it was changed partially because his horn wasn't in the right spot on his head. - zed was based on game designer dzaid and has hyperacusis, a hearing disorder that makes it difficult to deal with everyday sounds. - yiruk's name is an anagram of kiryu, the protagonist of the yakuza games. - chef sunshine's design is a homage to julia child. she originally had a bigger physique, but was changed to match lylia's bubbly performance.

It’s been a while since one of these, huh? Well, I just haven’t had anything that substantial to post. I’ve done a lot of revisiting old sketch ideas like superfan!AU, but they’re about on par as the first sketches I posted of them, so I didn’t see the point in posting them. I dunno if they really have a “theme.” If I do become a vtuber, then I’d like to keep some motifs from GAB (my bunny mascot thing) without making them a bunny because bunny themed vtubers are a dime a dozen. I haven’t incorporated them into my sketches yet, but I have thought of going for a light nudibranch theme (aka, the sea bunnies). It’s an idea, but I dunno what to do with it. For now, I’m just worried about adding the GAB’s “lucky charms” buttons somewhere in the design. The first one is my favorite so far.

4-5) NSR x Animal Crossing: Initial Sketches. I dunno how I feel about Tati’s beak. On the one hand, it’s inaccurate, but on the other, it looks so plain when I keep it all gray. I already had to give up her earrings because birds don’t have earlobes, so I need some other pop of color around the head area.

Just for fun, these are the ideas for the other characters I’ve had so far:

Mayday: Either bird or squirrel. A bird because they sing, and it would tie back to Tati being an eagle as Mayday tries to follow in her footsteps. A squirrel just because I think it suits her.

Zuke: A horse. “I’m a little zonkey! Hee-haw! Hee-haw!”

DK West: A bull. Should be obvious.

DJSS: A bear. It’s the biggest animal with the roundest head. Ursa Major is also a pretty famous constellation, so I think it works with the space theme.

Yinu + Mother: Kitten + Tiger. I imagine Yinu as being Katie’s size, so not the big cats, but the little kittens. I guess Father would be the regular cat. Or maybe I’ll switch Mayday and Tati’s bird themeing with Yinu and Mother’s cats since Yinu also has birdcage imagery in her original boss fight, but if I’m gonna go that far, then I might as well bring back lion!Kliff too. Yeah, maybe I’ll go with that instead, so bird!Yinu and eagle!Mother.

1010 + Neon J.: Undecided. I want them all to be the same animal, but I don’t know what animal would accommodate J’s screen the best.I’ve considered deer, rabbits, ducks, and dogs, but I really don’t know what I want to do for them. Maybe in a turn of irony, they’re the only humans? I dunno.

Eve: Giraffe or Ostrich: They got long necks. That’s my only justification.

NPC Lighting round! It’s not all of them, just the ones I’ve thought about Figure out the justification yourself: sheep!Zam, penguin!Gigi, rabbit!Zed, duck!Yiruk, mouse!Mia.

Sadly, I don’t have anything for Sayu. She’s technically already half animal so... yeah.

6) “I miss my wife Tails.” I started on this, but gave up on it. Maybe I’ll come back to it.

7) Octobots. It took me till Cephalobot showed up and I loved him to realize that I’m interested in a lot of characters that are associated with both robots and octopi. I mean, 3 isn’t that many, but it’s more than I thought would exist. Well, I’m the only one that associates Green/E.G. with octopi, but it still counts.

8) More detailed(?) GW. I originally sketched this for Blacktober since my human!GW is black (Tabuu too!). Actually, if I were to design more human!Flats, they would probably all be black except the ones that aren’t silhouettes like Climber. Even then, I’d probably just make them light-skinned.

I don’t know what they’d be arguing over (maybe something home decor related cause let’s be real, “my belt matches my bag” Sokka and Drama King of 1/4 of the world Zuko would probably both have pretty strong opinions on what they want their home to look like). I just see it going down like

Zuko, casually walking into the kitchen, sipping a mug of tea: y’know, I’ve been thinking about this whole eggshell white or mountain breeze green for the kitchen thing....

Sokka: mhm?

Zuko: yeah, I really think you should reconsider

Sokka, looking up from the paper: oh Zuko, I really hate that colour

Zuko: yeah, I know. But I really think you should reconsider....

TCoVC: Full Moon Nightshift- Split up/The Moth Beasts within

I decided to do a prequel scene of The Creatures of Vinyl City story; Full Moon Nightshift, where after arriving at the abandoned warehouse with enough stuff that they need, they split up and look for the Cryptids, but what Mayday and Zuke didn’t count on was that secretly..1010 are the Cryptids they are looking for! (Dun! Dun! DUUUUNNN!) So yeah, enjoy!

[scene starts up with the gang setting up the plan to get the Cryptids and reason with them as Zuke demonstrated the idea through pictures on the whiteboard]

Zuke: ok, here is what me and Mayday come up with to get those moth Cryptids; First, we need to find clues and track them down, then when one of us find them, the five of you boys use your elemental magic to distract them while we get a homemade cage that is made by Kliff after finding them, and then we trapped the Cryptids into the cage-

Mayday: -and then, we use comforting words to reason with them not to do violence and then we let them go, pretty easy! *scene cuts back to reality* any questions? *scene cuts to 1010 looked at the board and Haym raises his hand* Yes Haym?

Haym: What does Mr Kliff look like?

Mayday: Well, Kliff is light orange with red hair and teal eyes, has glasses and a headband, wears a black shirt and a yellow coat-

Zuke: and is a Satyr, which is half man, half goat.

*1010 makes understanding sounds through oohs and aahs, then they look at the two*

Zimelu: So does he eat your underpants when you are not looking? *chuckles and gets nudged by Rin* Ow! Hey.

Rin: Zim, be nice! Some goats do not eat anything at all!…or can they?

Zuke: Actually I caught him eating one of my shorts, but I do not mind, they do not fit on me anymore anyways.

Eloni: Hey Uh, I have a question *points at Mayday*…You said that Kliff should meet us here right?

Mayday: Yeah.

Eloni: Well, where he at tho? *the group looks around and see that Kliff is not at the lobby room*

Mayday: he’s probably still building on the cage we have spoke of. Now then, any more questions? *looks at PurlHew raising his hand* Yes PurlHew?

PurlHew: How can we communicate with each other when we are either in trouble or we found the Cryptids?

Mayday: I’m glad you asked! *gets out seven walkie talkies* Take one each everyone *Zuke and 1010 grabs one for each* because these walkie talkies are very useful when we split up!

Zuke: and besides, we got codenames for the fun of it! Mayday is Bunka Junka and I am Shakalaka Bam!

1010: Woah!

Mayday: and since you guys don’t have one, I will give you codenames! *to Rin* Rin, your codename would be White Prince.

Rin: Oh, because I am charming huh? *tsk tsk*

Mayday: *lovestruck giggle* Yeah~ *Zuke clears his throat for attention* Oh right, sorry. Now, *to Zimelu* Zimelu, Your codename would be Redhot Punk!

Zimelu: Yes!

Mayday: *to Purlhew* Purlhew, your codename would be Cool Blue for your Coolness!

PurlHew: Right on.

Mayday: *To Haym* Haym, your codename would be Electric Boy!

Haym: Yay! *zaps PurlHew with his static electric*

PurlHew: Ow.

Haym: Sorry Purl.

PurlHew: it is all good Haym.

Mayday: *to Eloni* And Eloni, your codename would be Green Melon, I heard you can make Watermelons from your body right?

Eloni: Yeah. I got codename after Watermelon!

Zuke: Ok, everyone all set? *everyone says yes in different ways* Alright then, let’s go! *the gang split up to find the cryptids; Mayday and Zuke goes to a hallway on the left to look for Kliff while 1010 goes to the right hallway to find the cryptids*

[scene cuts to Mayday and Zuke walking deeper into the hallway as they used flashlights to see in the dark]

Zuke: Kliff! You in here?!

Mayday: Kliiff! Oh Kliiff! We are here!

Zuke: I brought you a grape juice soaked Underwear!

Mayday: What?

Zuke: Nothing. *clears throat as he shines his light on the hallway* Hey May?

Mayday: *checks the drawers* Yes Zuke?

Zuke: I have a question…and it is about 1010.

Mayday: sure, go ahead.

Zuke: Well…Do you think that they are magic users?

Mayday: Well I think so, what makes you say that?

Zuke: Well..Back in the mansion for a two day hangout and sleepover, when a tennis ball was flying really fast, I saw Rin grabbing it and his hand did not burn, in fact, I saw steam coming out of his palm afterwards.

Mayday: Huh, maybe Magic users have fast reflexes than us humans.

Zuke: *crosses arms* Remember that bouncy ball when you thrown it at the wall? It was headed straight towards Barbara and what did she do?

Mayday: Catch it?

Zuke: Yup, with her magic and toss it back to you, not with her hand.

Mayday: Oh yeah, now I remembered. And now that you mention it, It seems suspicious of 1010 and their antics; First is that they enjoy looking at lights for some reason, like if they get into a trance or something. I bet they might be elementals or something.

Zuke: Yeah, and guess what? I stealthily get into their rooms to check for any magic user’s marks or elemental’s features and markings.

Mayday: *looks underneath a desk* and did you see any marks and strange features?

Zuke: No.

Mayday: Hmm, that is strange. We best need to ask 1010 about their talents, I have a gut feeling that they may might be hiding something from us..You go look around for clues.

Zuke: on it! *went off to find clues as Mayday pulls up her walkie talkie and turns it on after one of the five lights is white*

Mayday: White Prince, this is Bunka Junka, can you hear me, over?

[scene cuts to Meanwhile with 1010, who is searching for the Cryptids]

Zimelu: Ugh! This is getting boring, these Cryptids are hard to find in here and I am starting to get moon antsy!

Rin: Zim, calm down, surely we can find the cryptids in no time, you just gotta have patience.

PurlHew: and besides, I am a walking talking fire extinguisher that uses water. If you get yourself and everything on fire, I will get my tidal wave summoned, like last time with an abandoned diner.

Zimelu: Hey! in my defense, one of those ghosts gave me water with my Spicy Stir-fried Rice Cakes and water does not mixed with fire!

Haym: *sniff* and this place is dusty, *rubs it with his finger* makes my nose buggy.

Rin: Wait boys, I heard something…it sounded like-

Mayday: (Walkie-Talkie) White Prince, this is Bunka Junka, *Rin gets out his walkie-Talkie* Do you copy?

Rin: Bunka Junka, This is White Prince loud and clear, over. *scene splits to two with Mayday and Rin in different rooms*

Mayday: Hey Rin, I have a question for you, and it is about you and your brothers.

Rin: Sure May, what is it?

Mayday: Well, are you guys sure that you are magic users? Because Zuke look at you guys last night and he said that he didn’t see any markings on you guys.

Rin: Oh, well Gee, we Uh, are elementals. *at the background of the conversation, Haym feels a sneeze coming on and the three 1010 boys tries to stop him*

Mayday: hmm, I do not know, Zuke didn’t see any elemental features on you guys as well, even no markings as well.

Rin: Oh, uhh, promise you wouldn’t tell?

Mayday: Sure thing, I am known for holding secrets…and possibly letting them out.

Rin: Well, we are actually ro- *screen turns back to normal*

Haym: AH-*sneezes out electricity at the walkie-talkie* CHOO!! *the electricity not only zaps the walkie-talkie to Disrupt it but sent the three 1010 members flying to different directions, meanwhile with Mayday*

Mayday: Ro-what? Rin? *shakes it* Rin? *electricity comes out of the speaker, making Mayday drop it on the ground to let the electric bolts out* Ok, that was weird.

Zuke: (offscreen) Hey May! I found a clue! You better come and look!

Mayday: Ok Zuke! *turns the walkie-talkie off, puts it in her Corduroy jacket’s pocket and get to Zuke. Meanwhile, with 1010, Rin is still standing when Haym sneezed and sees Haym recovering from the sneeze, Zimelu was sitting on the floor with his backside on the wall, PurlHew managed to stop by landing and sliding, and Eloni landed on a wall*

Zimelu: Ow, Haym..!

Haym: I am sorry, the dust made me sneeze!

PurlHew: It is alright Haym, at least we are immune to your Electronic Disruption ability.

Rin: Unlike this *shows the walkie-talkie* Walkie-Talkie, but do not worry, your Electronic disruption is temporary, so we should tell May our secret once it gets back to normal. *the three nods in agreement* Wait, where’s Eloni? *Eloni lets out a air horn sound in distress*

Eloni: (offscreen) Guys! You better come look! *the four robots head off to the location, only to see Eloni standing in worried and his face is shocked as what he is holding*

Rin: Eloni, what’s wrong?

Eloni: I-I saw and found 5 photos coming out of the security camera right up there after Haym sneezed.

Zimelu: Oh come on Elon, this place is old and abandoned, surely Haym’s sneeze didn’t cause anything to happen.

Haym: Actually, my sneeze actually have a 50 chance of activating and deactivating electronics, like 50 chance of deactivating one electronic and the other one gets activated.

Zimelu: Yeah, what he said. So anyway, the good new’s is that Haym’s Electronic Disrupting powers lasts temporary and once that, Rin will tell our secret to Mayday that we are not ordinary Cryptids!

Eloni: Uhh I wouldn’t be sure about letting out our secrets now.

PurlHew: what do you mean by that, Eloni?

Eloni: Y-You guys wouldn’t like what I just found out now, because there is bad news to the good news. *the four took one photo each and they but PurlHew because he is cool gasps in shocked as scene shows the photos they are holding on shows one Moth monster each and they have recognized the moth monsters already*

Haym: T-That’s…That’s Us!

PurlHew: We have been here before, but we didn’t remember doing anything when we were in…Nightshift mode.

Zimelu: B-Big deal! We didn’t remember anything, t-there’s no way that could’ve been us! R-Right Rin?

Rin: I hate to say it Zimelu, but Haym’s Right…Those moth monsters are us, Our commander didn’t tell us we have Nightshift mode..That’s why we didn’t remember what happens when there’s a full moon at night..

PurlHew: and that’s why he doesn’t want us to go outside when there is a full moon night, because if we do, we lose control of our moth beast forms..and cause chaos.

Zimelu: *feels upset about this through his toughness* Ohh! Quick Eloni! Say something funny so we don’t freak out, like Uh, a weather reporter!

Eloni: And now for the weather report.. *voice tone changes to weather reporter* The weather for tonight is partly cloudy, chances of the full moon showing up is 99% after a hour.

Haym: I do not get the joke.

Eloni:…That wasn’t a joke, the full moon will show up after a hour.

1010: What?!

Haym: That’s the Worst news!

PurlHew: and Eloni’s Right. We got like a hour left before the moon shows up and we transform!

Zimelu: and what we are waiting for?! We gotta get what we are looking for and get out before the moon shows up!

Haym: But what about Mayday and Zuke?

Eloni: and Kliff as well even though we have seen him in person?

Zimelu: I-…I don’t know what to do about them, besides not letting them find out our secret. But we need to go!

Rin: No Zim, we have to stay with them to help them out.

Zimelu: Rin you can’t be serious! In case you didn’t know, *gestures Him, Rin and the other 1010 members* WE are the Cryptids they are looking for!

Rin: Look, we came here to help out our friends, not abandon them. We just need to help them find the clues.

Haym: But…What about our secret?

Rin: Let them find out…Surely they can recognize our hair-shape and our main color when we transformed, right?

*the 1010 members agreed to Rin’s Statement*

Eloni: but Rin,…the Nightshift Mode- *feels his cool brother’s hand on his shoulder*

PurlHew: Don’t worry about it for now, we still have time before we turn into moth monsters.

Rin: That’s Right, now come on Boys, let’s get this mission done! *sticks his arm out* Arms in! *scene cuts to Rin’s Arm as the four members of 1010 covers Rin’s hand with their hands to form a Team-Hand Stack* One, Two, Three-

1010: Go 1010! *lifts their arms up in the air and cheers, afterwards they go into different rooms to get the clues*

[scene cuts to Meanwhile with Mayday made it to Zuke who has found something on the ground]

Mayday: What did you find Zuke?

Zuke: This Piece of news article that happened a few nights ago. It reads; “Giant moths spotted in Vinyl City, it isn’t like the others.”

Mayday: isn’t like the others? Are they referring to the Mothmen and the Mothman?

Zuke: Apparently so. *looks at it* and look, there’s more. *clears throat* “A few nights ago, this city has been having troubles lately by five moth beasts; Air gets suddenly cold for no reason at some parts of the city, Local trash gets burnt up, Water Supply acts weird, Recent blackouts, and plants grow way too much has been reported”. Wait, Five moth beasts?

Mayday: There’s five of them?!

Zuke: Yeah. Hey, you don’t think?

Mayday: Nah, it couldn’t be. They are human beings like us but with special powers, surely they weren’t the moth beasts.

Zuke: Yeah, I think you might be right. And look, there’s more. “One of the locals have heard about this strange moth attacks happening at a full moon night and one of them decides to go and investigate this strange bug infestation, and that one is; Kliff the Satyr.”

Mayday: Wow! What a brave goat.

Zuke: Yeah, you know him; If he sees a Cryptid, he goes to investigate them in their whereabouts and interview them!

Mayday: *nods in agreement* Anything else?

Zuke: Hmm..*looks at the article more* ah! Here is it. *clears throat* “Kliff was told by a Fairy that the next moth beast ambush would be at a abandoned warehouse of glow in the dark things.” A Fairy and a Abandoned warehouse?

Mayday: Hey! The warehouse that we are in right now could be the place where the next moth beast ambush take place at!

Zuke: Hmm, I do not know, is the coordinates right?

Mayday: *looks up her phone* hmm, Yup! *shows it to Zuke* we are here!

Zuke: Oh, well that explains it. But who is that fairy anyway?

Mayday: *scene cuts to her looking at the picture* Hmm, she looks familiar…Oh! I remembered! It was the fairy we bumped into when the Phoenix Flies are on the loose; I do believe her name is Kayane, she is a fairy and a fan of 1010, just like me! Now come on, let’s see if we can get more clues.

Zuke: You got it! *the two heroes get up and explore for more clues*

[Meanwhile, PurlHew the Blue 1010 was walking in the hallway with a water bottle in his hand with his eyes showing his point of view scanning his surroundings, until a beeping sound is heard and looks at the bathroom’s doorway, scene cuts back to reality as PurlHew walks to the doorway and scans the bathroom, then something is highlighted blue in his vision, meaning he has found something important]

PurlHew: Clue locked in sight. *he walks towards it and picks it up* Hmm, that looks like a piece of my seta, How did that get there? *opens the bottle and drinks it* Unless…I have been here before! *scene cuts to the sky and the clouds started to move to reveal the full moon* Well, there’s pretty much nothing else here, I will jus- *right before he can move, he twitches a little* Huh? *looks at his hand*…hm. Must be a bug..*In his point of view, he gets a warning text flashing that reads: “WARNING! Full Moon exposed…Body exposed to Moonlight, initiating Nightshift Mode Protocol.”* Oh…Oh no, the moon..It-It-It-*Then, his body shakes violently with his human disguise glitching out at the three its that reveals Purlhew’s true form as his hands holds his head and screams in autotuned Pain* 🎶GAH! *he dropped his water bottle in the process as his body shoots out blue energy from his body, he still holding onto his head as we see his eye being static and blue with him grunting in pain* I-I-I-It-It has-s-s-s…begun! *he yells in pain as he gets onto his knees, grunting in pain as scene shows Purlhew’s left hand starting to change, the hologram disguise turns off by force and gets turned into a giant robotic claw with blue moth fur coming out of the sleeve of Purlhew’s jacket through shear force*

[scene cuts to Eloni being a goofball while looking for clues by Singing All star from Smash Mouth like he’s a actual radio along saying John Madden a lot of times while the song plays, he eventually stops and sees a greenhouse room]

Eloni: Hmm, my instincts are telling me to go in there…Well alright then. *approaches the greenhouse room in a funny way* Wow! It sure looks like a big darn jungle in here, I wonder if I can meet monkeys in here, and I am not talking about those drawings of monkeys that makes anyone scammed, they suck! *looks around and sees a piece of green seta on a pot* Hmm, this piece of grass looks Sus, only to find out that if this is grass, or my hair by licking it. *opens his mouth to show off his mechanical proboscis and it gets to the edge of the seta as a needle pokes the seta, afterwards he spits out what he has tasted* Oh eww! This tastes like dirt, oh wait, that’s because it has dirt on it,…I have eaten the dirt. Wait, *gets the taste* this is definitely the same shampoo I used; Champagne Apple and Honey. Well, looks like I am done here, I gotta blast! *he was just about to leave when he suddenly dabbed* Hahah, I dabbed! Wait, I didn’t do that on purpose…Unless- *gasps in realization* I’ve been set up by the man of the Moon! *twitches violently with his eyes turn to green static as he yells in pain, he lands on the floor with his back and his body twitches, his disguise glitching out with green bolts flying out of his body* Th-h-his is not Fu-funny, This is T-T-To-Torture! *grunts and holds his head as the camera moves to Eloni’s sides and they started to Sprout out another pair of limbs that look like they belong to a mechanical organic beast*

[Scene cuts to Haym the Yellow 1010 walking in the hallway and scans a door to see that the clue is behind that door]

Haym: Found something! [opens the door and sees a power box and a piece of yellow seta on the ground] hey, *gets to the seta* there is a piece of my hair on the ground. *picks it up, and smells it* Yup, definitely Lemon! *puts it in his pocket* Now I can finally report back to- *then, right before he makes his way, he suddenly spazzes out with static electricity coming out of him* Woahoahoahoahoahoah! *it stops for a moment* W-What was that about? *then, In his point of view, he gets a warning text flashing that reads: “WARNING! Full Moon exposed…Body exposed to Moonlight, initiating Nightshift Mode Protocol.”* Wait, What?! Oh no, I have been exposed to Moonlight! I have been…Mo-o-onlight tagged! *his eyes gets turned to yellow static as he yells in pain and fear with his body on the ground like he is doing a push up* D-D-Da-a-ad, Help me-e-e-e! *scene cuts to the sight of Haym’s Leg kicking lightly in pain as the shoe explode to reveal a hoof like foot with his pant sleeve getting tight* [scene cuts to Zimelu looking around for the clue through scanning]

Zimelu: Ugh! Cannot believe I brought myself and my bros into this mess just because I got curious in front of Rin, if it was a new moon or a Quarter moon, we would have been fine! *calms down* Keep it together Zimelu, do not let the moon’s germs get you feral..*he spotted something* Well finally! *opens the door to the boiler room and sees his red seta piece on the ground, he picks it up* Welp, looks like I found a seta…Wait, this is my seta…T-That means…*Red bolts flies from him* no…No *holds his head with his hands and his eyes closes while nodding no aggressively*…NONONONONONO! *Slams his ‘Fists’ to the Ground as his voice turns deep and autotuned* NOOO!! *catches breath and he look at his hands, only in horror to see that his hands have changed to mechanical moth beast claws and he looks up to see that the moonlight is on him!* Oh Scrap…*Body shakes violently as he cries in pain, he slams his claws on the ground and scratches the floor with his new pair of claws on his sides* Gaaah! This hurts..so..much! *scene cuts to a shadow discretion shot of Zimelu’s Transformation with the wall flashing a red light, Zimelu’s Voice starts to get monstrous as he gets down on his knees and elbows, which his back grows big moth wings, which causes him to roar in pain and by roar, I mean a roar that sounds less human and more monster like*

[Meanwhile, Rin was at a hallway when he heard start jingles from different rooms, he turn around, only to see notifications in his point of view]

Rin: Huh? *uses his mind to open the four notifications, fours screen flashes on his vision* Purl! Eloni! Haym! Zimelu! What’s happening?

PurlHew: R-Rin, The M-Mo-moo-moo-moon’s out!

Haym: W-w-we just ran out of-f-f tim-m-me…

Zimelu: O-O-of B-Being hu-u-u-man!

Eloni: *looking at the moon* G-Get out of the S-s-s-sk-sk-sky!

Rin: But brothers, we-….we come so far..we cannot abandon the mission just now.

PurlHew: We-We’re sorry…But, I-I-It’s for th-th-the better.

Zimelu: Ca-ca-Cannot believe I a-a-am saying this, b-b-but-t…I am sorry…for bringing our-our-our-ourselves into t-t-th-th-thi-this mes-s-s-s-s.

Rin: It’s alright Zim…And I am sorry for agreeing with you..but you know what? I am really glad that I can get to be cryptid investigators with you guys, even if one of those investigators were the Cryptids the whole time..
