FIRE IN THE HOLE 3: The third part of FIRE IN THE HOLE
Cyon was flung onto the floor of someone's bedroom, after jumping through the star-shaped dimensional rift to escape the blazing inferno.
"Aough! Uuuugh..."
The azure puffball takes a moment to look at his surroundings.
"Cinnamoroll plushies, pink and purple bed... a Bubi daki... hmm... Is this what I think it is-"
"Halloooo! Welcome to my domain!"
Cyon turns around and sees the gremlin lady in a pink crop top and puffy pink and purple hair...
"Ah, Mousey. Thanks for saving me once again."
"As always! But... I want to make sure you'd be meeting up with Bubi later on, since he needs to apologize to you for what he had done to you earlier."
KNOCK KNOCK...
Ironmouse dashes to the door while Cyon tries to get up from the floor.
(muffled)
"mouse! is my cinnamoroll playtime over?"
"Of course, Bubi! Thank you for taking care of all my Cinnamorolls! Now before you go, I'd want you to start apologizing to EleCyon, okay?"
"fine."
Ironmouse opens the bedroom door, allowing a dark purple gremlin to flutter through to the room.
"Now, Cyon the Peasant..."
"GASP! Bubi, not like this! Mouse's not gonna be pleased!"
"...what is it you want with me this time? Have you learned your lesson-"
Having his senses all set, Cyon dusts himself off and presents his puffy blue self as he begins responding.
"Bubi, come on. It's me, Cyon. You know what to say. I'm not really fond of what you did. You almost got my life wasted in front of a three-headed beast. All because of freaking 'FIRE IN THE HOLE'."
Bubi sighed, fluttering down on a nearby stool.
"Cyon. I know this is not natural for me to say as the King of all Demonkind, but..."
"BUBI!?"
Cyon and Ironmouse yelled in comparison.
"Fine, fine! Not using that title for now. Anyways, I offer my sincerest apologies to you, Cyon, for being ticked off with you because of that annoying phrase, to the point I exiled you to a bout with Cerberus in the underworld."
Cyon stood in silence for approximately 10 seconds. He looked down, wanting to make a decision...
"...It's fine, Bubi. And also, it's somewhat not fine. You almost made me perish in front of a strong monster. All for that FIRE IN THE HOLE phrase."
Bubi was almost ready to snap back, but Ironmouse stopped him.
"Hey, not like that, Bubi! You promised to stop."
Cyon continues his speech...
"I forgive you Bubi, but I'd rather have you take a break from looking at me playing the cube game for now until you cool your emotions."
While this brought Bubi a bit of dejection, this was overturned by the fact he found a silver lining.
"This... I can follow. But oh well. I'm too good for that stupid cube game anyways. Mouse also temporarily suspended me from using my powers, so I promise not to teleport you to Cerberus the next time I get them back."
"Thank you Bubi. Anyways, It's all over. I forgive you, just... do not do this again. Promise?"
"Promise."
After this exchange, Cyon and Bubi did a high-five gesture - with Bubi using his stubby legs and Cyon responding by using his stubby hands.
Ironmouse found the exchange successful, so she thinks up of a new plan to make each other feel cool again.
"Yaaaaaaay, let's play some Mario Kart to make up for all of this!"
"Fine! If I win, I get my powers back." Bubi presents a challenge for her.
"Wowie zowie! Fun games with friends!" Cyon was clearly excited about this notion.
Together, the three friends begin playing Mario Kart multiplayer in Ironmouse's living room. At least no one feels the urge to say Fire in the Hole again, maybe... for now... But the power of Fire in the Hole lives on through all the random cube game posts everyone did.

more of my Carlos on Instagram Live fic. direct continuation from the last snippet i posted.

She pauses, the front door of his loft halfway open. She has one foot out the door. “What, Carlos?”
He gestures to her phone in his hand. “I don’t know what to do with this!”
“Just talk to them,” she shrugs, like talking to 30,000+ people is a normal thing for him to do. He can barely talk to his husband’s father without stumbling over his words and formalities. What the hell is he supposed to do with a bunch of strangers on the phone? “I don’t know, Carlos. Introduce them to everyone.”
Then she’s gone, the door closing behind her with a thud that tolls the end of days. Well, at least the end of their friendship. Carlos looks around the loft. It’s mostly empty; Tommy, Grace, and Judd are there but their social media knowledge is worse than his.
Who he really needs is TK. The last he heard from him he was stuck in line at the grocery store. He had told him they didn't need any more snacks. “But it’s your birthday, Carlos. We need all the snacks! Actually, it’s not just your birthday, it’s your 30th birthday — we need all the snacks we can get.”
So TK had left, unknowingly dooming his husband to a fate worse than kidnapping and torture. Carlos swallowed, his throat going dry. He turned Marjan’s phone over only to be greeted by his own confused and worried face. God, what is he doing?
The walls of text kept flying by. He squinted, trying to grab onto something, anything to not look at his face and worry about what he looked like in front of thousands of strangers.
But the comments didn’t make any sense.

“Oh, do you guys know who I am?”
To his surprise, responses came fast.

since im late im not gonna tag anyone but i did want to possibly request a beta reader? idk how to get one of those but for my longer fics i would like someone to read over them for feedback purposes. nothing's finished but throwing it out there.

FIRE IN THE HOLE 2: The aftermath of FIRE IN THE HOLE
"GRrrrrrrrrrrrrarghhh!"
Cerberus stood proud against a terrified, shocked blue puffball. The backdrop of the burning fire made its dark but glowing orange coloration stand out... and its three heads gnarled, roared, and made intimidating bites that seem to course terror through Cyon's guts.
"I... I should have NOT played that Recent Tab trash in front of my friend Bubi! Oh, to have fallen deep into such a terrible fate caused by my recklessness!"
Cyon wept in fear and regret... as the towering three-headed guardian came closer... ready to pounce on the poor puffball to his inevitable doom.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAUURRRGH!!"
Cyon shudded in fear as one of the monster's heads snarled real close to him.
"I'M SORRY FOR SAYING FIRE IN THE HOLE, BUBI! I'M SORRY! IF YOU CAN HEAR ME, DO SOMETHING AND PLEASE SAVE ME FROM THIS ELDRITCH HORROR! I PROMISE I WILL NOT PLAY ANY MORE CUBE GAME TRASH IN FRONT OF YOU, ESPECIALLY THE ONES WITH SOUND EFFECTS THAT SCREAM 'FIRE IN THE HOLE'!!"
The three-headed Cerberus was already furious at Cyon's face of fear, and is seemingly adamant of his cries to be forgiven. Suddenly... the blue puffball has an idea. Swiping out his phone once more from within his cape, he goes to the cube game and tries to search for...
"Damn it... the Wi-Fi's out... Oh for Nova's love please- WAIT!"
Cyon realized he still has a bunch of those "Fire in the Hole" levels saved in his local levels list. He opened the most recent one he saved as soon as Cerberus' teeth got close to him...
"FIRE IN THE HOLE! FIRE IN THE HOLE! FIREINTHEHOLE! FIIIIIIIREEEE IN THE HOOOOOOOOLEEEEEE!!!!"
The three-headed monster was confused by the voices coming from Cyon's phone. Low-pitched, sped up, high-pitched... these edited sounds were an anarchy to be expected from those kinds of user levels... until...
"FIRE IN THE HOLEEEEEEEEEE!"
The level screen started spamming particles with the green Normal Difficulty smiley face, flashing imagery and loud sounds, which promptly distracted the three-headed beast.
"RRAAAAUURRGHH!! SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!"
Cerberus screamed in agony, its eyes flash-banged by the seemingly divine light coming from Cyon's phone! It then resorted to fleeing...
CRASH!
...crashing through the gates in confusion as its three heads wobbled around in panic.
"..."
"..."
"...wow... that really did work huh?"
And he saw the screen of his phone...
"LEVEL COMPLETE!"
Now... Cyon has managed to save himself in a jiffy. At least, until a star-shaped portal comes to summon him somewhere else...
"What the actual- Hey!"
A familiar-looking arm accompanied with a pink crop top slipped through the dimensional rift...
"Cyon! Are you okay? If anything, I'm sorry about Bubi. He sometimes overestimates things, eh? I've told him that you'll come to him so he can apologize to you."
"Wh...what?! Mousey? Look, please tell the King of all Demonkind that he should not send me in front of Cerberus just because my phone and myself keep saying 'FIRE IN THE HOLE' several times in a cube game."
"I know... That was out of my league! Oh god... The portal's closing fast, though, so you may wanna take my hand and get inside immediately."
"Okay, thanks, Mouse. I gotta confront Bubi later. But before that..."
Cyon opens up the level again.
"FIRE IN THE HOLE!!!!" Cyon jumps in the portal as it closes.
