Die ganze Welt ist eine Bühne. Also auch Indien.

'And up and down, and up and down, and up and down', an enthusiastic excerpt on the radio from an age old Felicity Kendal workout encourages ... I obligingly do just that with my coffee cup ... if I'm going to raise my leg in that manner it'll simply be to pick some strange piece of something or other off my fluffy slipper ... the best thing I found inside my slipper this week was a sultana ... let's raise the coffee cup once more in honour of all the slippers long since gone to slipperland, where the floors are grippy and the dogs have undergone slipper chewing aversion therapy ...

Man in a Suitcase: Blind Spot (1.20, ITC, 1968)
"You know what I have in here?"
"Your lunch?"
"A confidential report concerning you."
"Confidentially, I don't care."
#man in a suitcase#blind spot#1968#itc#classic tv#jeremy summers#victor canning#richard bradford#marius goring#felicity kendal#derek newark#william dexter#inigo jackson#michael bates#keith marsh#gillian lind#nina huby#constantine gregory#frank maher#terry yorke#one of star Richard Bradford's chief complaints about production on MiaS was the quality of the writing‚ and specifically his suspicion#that scripts were being recycled from previous ITC shows. there's no evidence that that was the case‚ and with genre tv of this era being#what it was (and always having an element of the formulaic) it's understandable that it might appear at times to be revisiting ideas#already explored. I'm not exactly saying that's the case with this episode (i don't have a specific example of this exact plot being used#previously) but it certainly Feels a little off... it doesn't really have the feel of a MiaS ep‚ and the vibes are more like the kind of#case The Saint may have been involved in. the plot may be a little strung out but it does afford Bradford some moments to shine in a more#playful performance‚ as McGill trades quips and snarky put downs with pretty much every other character; he's also rather sweet in his#dealings with young Felicity Kendal (a newcomer at this point but soon to become sitcom royalty and a tv icon). Goring had been a pretty#successful film star in his day‚ and was still a well known household name; in the 50s he'd both produced and starred in The Adventures of#the Scarlet Pimpernel for ITC‚ and soon after this guest spot he'd land a long running role starring in The Expert for the BBC

On December 3rd, 1926 the mystery writer Agatha Christie is staying at a country estate and confronted to solve a real murder mystery (professor peach, in the library with a lead pipe) along with a party crasher known as the Doctor (Doctor 10) and his companion Donna. Unlike the murders in her stories, this one appears to be committed by a giant wasp disguised as a man. This adventure happened on the date she historically (in real life) disappeared for a week and half. ("The Unicorn and the Wasp" Doctor Who, TV)

The London Theatre Review: West End’s Noises Off by Ross The last time I saw Noises Off, the nearly perfect British farce from 1982 by playwright Michael Frayn (Benefactors; Make and Break), now celebrating its 40th anniversary, was back in 2016 at the Roundabout Theater on…

We’re Back! - A Dinosaur’s Story (1994) – Exploring the Past
TL;DR – A fascinating time capsule to the early 1990s, which might feel as far in the past as the dinosaurs featured.  ⭐⭐⭐ Rating: 3 out of 5. Post-Credit Scene – There is no Post-Credit Scene.Disclosure – I paid to watch this film. We’re Back! – A Dinosaur’s Story Review – I always like plugging in gaps in my knowledge when it comes to cinema, especially when it hits one of those topics…

The ladies of Ken Russell's VALENTINO (1977).
Felicity Kendal as June Mathis, Leslie Caron as Alla Nazimova, and Michelle Phillips as Natacha Rambova.
“Sumptuous” is hardly a strong enough word for the costumes designed by Shirley Russell for this film. Several pieces are now in museum collection.

Review: Noises Off, Richmond Theatre
Review: Noises Off, @RichmondTheatre Joseph Millson pratfalling and Tory-power-stancing is a thing to behold!
Lindsay Posner revives Noises Off once again in fine style, as Felicity Kendal, Joseph Millson, Tracy-Ann Oberman and more delight at Richmond Theatre “How about the words, dear, am I getting some of them right?” As far as farce is concerned (and particularly for a farce-sceptic like me), Michael Frayn’s Noises Off is the gold standard of the genre. London has been blessed with a couple of…

I'm on a roll with this fanfiction malarky. This chapter is a little more silly so much so I was giggling like a child as I proof read this before posting.
I can't believe it never came up - Rosemary Boxer/Laura Thyme, T (there's some suggestive language at the end so I'd just in case): The grandkids are visiting and discover Rosemary's hidden talent.
Link isn't working for some reason, you can find this on my ao3 page: That-Geek
