#some more screenshots from my hardcore world <3 it's going good#built that tree from the last two pictures today :3 it's no bdubs level of course but i like how it turned out!#i think im slowly getting better at custom trees and building in general! happy#that building on the uhhh 6th image is my favorite so far! it houses my bee farm and it's so cool and vibrant and funky!!! loving it#the building on the 3rd image is also pretty good. it's an inn with a restaurant on the 1st floor and villager housing on the 2nd!#it's cozy in there but on the outide i think it could do with a bit more dress up. that part of the town is still in development so im sure#it'll come together eventually! like. with another house across the street and maybe some banner lines between them it's gonna look great#i also took that screenshot with my normal playing fov and not the low-good-for-screenshots fov so. yknow#welp. that's it for now i think#mining and building and also crafting#<- made the tag for it finally! check it out if you wanna; there's the previous set of screenshots as well#yagotalk

I don't feel like q!bad gets enough praise for being such a good dad.
Like, he's encouraging of Dapper's special interests even if they're dangerous and often end up with him at least slightly hurt. He's incredibly respectful of Dapper's independence while also being a caring and attentive father. If they're going to be out and about together, he almost always takes Dapper's input on where they go and what they do.
He knows Dapper is talented player, who knows more than he does sometimes, while still recognizing when Dapper forgets his own limits. He's still a kid, and a fragile one. But that doesn't mean putting him away in a box, like Phil has done with Chayanne. That means finding ways to be safe, having extra backup plans, extra people you trust by your side. They're on together almost every night, even past or before streaming times.
Bad is the egg babysitter, he goes out of his way to do things for them because he genuinely is such a compassionate person. He's also dedicated to solving the lore, to pranking his friends, to building Skeppy statues, and everything else.
Dapper is the mechanic, a collector who isn't ashamed to help others and leave them a gift or a silly prank along the way. He's a kid, who fights with his dad and keeps a journal of how all his machines work, just in case.
A lot of times, when people want to thank Bad for his help, they wonder, "what do you give someone who has everything?" And truth be told I have no idea what I'd do. It never feels like Bad has everything, but rather, it feels like he has everything he really wants. Bad has Dapper, and together, they're able to accomplish almost anything. That's what I think makes them so compelling.
I occasionally scroll through Twitter and see people talking about how they want the egg event to end. I can respect that to a degree, I think it's ended up with some streamers quite stressed, tired, or receiving harassment. However, I feel like Bad and Dapper are the perfect example of why you can't just tear the eggs from their parents - Dapper is as much a character as Bad is. They're a duo, they compliment one another in their skills, their personalities, ect.
It's Bad and Dapper against the world.
And I really hope they find a way to allow them to stay that way.

#our pond thawed so i sat beside the water today and watched the fish#i wish everyone as beautiful and peaceful a moment as that today ♡#i dont have a koi pond btw judt a farm pond that a neighbor put goldish in like twenty years ago#they thrived tho and they're pretty like koi fish#im planning to add water lilies to it this year and maybe some other pretty ornamental plants around it idk#also a bench hopefully bc rn you have to sit in an uncomfy rock lol#anyway#still a nice place to hang out im just planning to make it nicer when i have the money for landscaping#im considering adding some actual koi to it bc i read they can coexist w goldfish really well bc they're both carp#but idk i assume they eat more so maybe they would outcompete the goldslfish#also they eat the baby goldfish so maybe not :(#they should crossbreed tho#i think#so maybe i'll just grt one or two koi and see what happens#anywayyy#they're so pretty and peaceful to watch 😌#my only complaint is its a bit of a hike to the pond#either like five minutes down a suuuuper steep hill or twice as long walking around the hill and back up by the road which is less steep#also you cant really see the pond from the house bc its far away and surrounded by dense brush#alas#these are good problems to have tho#and for safety reasons its good actually that the pond is far from the house and a bit annoying to get to#bc little kids could def have a terrible accident if it was just in the yard or something#bc its really deep#im not the best w these emojis but i wanted to make something cute

I've been playing stardew non-stop. It's not even the new update (I'm playing on console) I just got excited by the talk about 1.6 and started a new save for the first time in almost a year lol
Tried romancing Shane for the first time and it's very sweet but also so so silly. local gay boy falls for the saddest, most pathetic guy in a 50 mile radius. more at 7

I didn't realize just how much Little Town on the Prairie meant to me as a book. I've barely started and every bit feels iconic. This one and Little House on the Prairie feel more like home than most of the other books do.
#little house#little town on the prairie#little house on the prairie#laura ingalls wilder#of course those two also just have to be the most problematic#we'll just move along past the blackface folks#nothing to see here#i'm trying to parse out why i feel such a strong connection to these two in particular#maybe it's because there's a heavy focus on farming and carpentry and small town country life and that's the background i come from#i know that this one already has the best sisterly content#i had a post brewing about how odd it is that of all the classic 'woman writing stories heavily based on her childhood' books#this series has by far the least focus on sisterly bonds#this subject will probably be its own post by the end of the book#i have been loving the greater laura-carrie connection i've never noticed before in the past two books#though i wasn't sure if it was really there or if i just paying more attention after going to the carrie museum#but this book is really giving us laura-mary friendship at last#which is great cuz in the early books she barely talks except to fight with laura#so it'll be nice to see that develop#not to mention we still have the iconic desk scene#(if this book gives mary her due it does continue the anti-older-sister crusade with its portrayal of eliza jane)#anyhow i should stop writing tags now have a good day

there a fic out there that takes radar's de-aging in a serious direction, and has it happen in a way that the other characters notice and worry about, but then someone (maybe sid) points out that this is just one way to get through the war -- some people freeze time, try to escape, pretend it's not really happening, moralise its necessity, fight it, some people age prematurely, and some people will get younger

I’m really starting to love December
#my pics#dog#dogblr#22 weeks#she’s really such a happy friendly little guy#and in the last couple weeks has just hit that point where dumb puppy brain switches to big kid brain#she still struggles with overstimulation hyperactivity#but she tries very hard to refocus on toys like I’ve been teaching her#she is very mouthy like most acd’s but she has been EXCELLENT at learning ‘gentle’#now that she has at least a bit of an attention span I’m taking her out walking pretty far#both on leash and off#we live on a farm surrounded by other farms so there’s lots of space to roam#next I need to start reinforcing cues by drilling outdoors / in strange locations#need to work on stay#and then I can really get into teaching her how to herd sheep#she LOVES being around them#and honestly there’s nothing that makes me happier than being out grazing the sheep w a dog#really just having so much fun with my little bud

ok sorry to rant out of nowhere but why is tender is the flesh on every book youtuber's top 10 (or whatever) best horror books ever list 😭 it was so bad, I couldn't even finish it bc it was so uninteresting... like I would get it if a few people loved it bc people's tastes are always gonna vary, but the fact that its SO popular just baffles me like am I missing something or am I crazy or what lmao??? and one of the best books EVER?????
#it was just boring and predictable and full of weird misogyny and ''the meat industry is the same as killing/enslaving humans'' vibes#and the premise has already been done many times (and done better....)#like I wonder if people only think its so ''scary'' bc its the first time they've come across the concept of humans being farmed for meat#which IS really scary and disturbing#but if they're self professed horror fans who have read a ton of horror books how have they not come across it before lmao#like even lovecraft wrote a story with that premise#anyway no hate if you loved this book sjdghsdfs#I'm just reaching my limit with every time I'm watching a video of someone's fav horror novels and they whip this out halfway through#and then I'm suddenly doubting if I can trust their judgement on anything else 😭#also ftr it's not like the worst book I've ever read (by far) but its just so mediocre imo#🐊

i don't wanna take over the world, it sounds like a lot. but you know, laying siege to a golf course sounds really nice sometimes

my mum picking me up this morning: you're not as hungover as i thought you'd be
me, just yacked in an alleyway: yeah haha
#it's 3pm now and i still cant believe that happened that was. an experience#basically my mate's 21st coincided with her sister's 30th so they both had this big joint Event last night#where they literally rented out a farm house and the field nearby and set up a whole campsite and barbeque and everything#it was really random but also really good esp bc ive been friends with this girl since we were super young#and our mums were friends so ive just got. lots of connections to her family and it was nice seeing them all again#but there was fully like 60 people at this thing and i DID drink more than i meant to but i wasn't paralytic which is good#and my hangover ISNT that bad in terms of how bad my hangovers can get#it's just that my mate's dad picked us both up at 9am this morning which was already going to be... rough#and then proceeded to do the bumpiest drive down the country lanes ive ever experienced#i was literally grinding my teeth like i am NOT about to throw up in this man's car please if there is a god do not let me throw up#and i didn't! my mum picked me up from this (thankfully very quiet) road that has this rickety old alley coming off it#and i had the very humbling moment of 'im actually going to be sick aren't i' and had to WAIT FOR AN OLD WOMAN#TO FUCKING MEANDER OUT OF THE ALLEY AND WALK FAR AWAY ENOUGH FOR ME TO AT LEAST HAVE A SHRED OF DIGNITY#and proceeded to throw up. in a public alleyway. at 9:30am on a sunday. so of course i needed to tell you guys about it#im now force feeding myself garlic bread. im going to manchester tomorrow. i have a flight at the crack of dawn on tuesday#what is even going on anymore#also fully did just do nos last night with some 30 year olds. i cannot express how fucking odd a thing that is for me to do#actually no i can express it bc youse know that im funny about drugs so for me to not even be that drunk#and get offered a fucking balloon of all things and be like 'yeah why not!' is.... odd#i know i inhaled wrong though bc it didn't do a thing which honestly im happy about <3#hella goes home
