Sorry for the late post, holidays have been busy this year. Anyway, enjoy my newest dpxdc prompt!
The kryptonite didn’t work.
Batman is now running on… limited options.
Superman had been possessed again, but this time with an unknown. He is exhibiting signs of extreme degradation at this point, after the several hours of fighting. Justice League Dark have been unsuccessful with any long ranged spells, and whatever it is controlling Superman has not allowed them to get close.
The Flash is down, as is Wonder Woman. The remaining Supers started showing the effects of Kryptonite whenever they got in a radius of Superman, so they have been put on civilian rescue.
Things… are looking grim.
Suddenly, a black blur flies and slams into Superman, then straightens up to reveal a young, white haired teen, floating above Superman in a crater.
“Ya’ll are REALLY trying to make me look like a villain, aren’t yah?”
. . .
The fight lasts for thirty minutes, while the young hero(?) seems to stall him, keeping the fight within a one-mile radius, lessening the damage to the city. Well, as much as he can, at this point.
“Got it!” He yells suddenly, grabbing and throwing Superman to two other teenagers and… a dream catcher? A glowing green dream catcher.
Superman tumbles through it, and a green blobbed-shaped entity lifts off of him, and is immediately vacuumed into- a soup thermos, why not- by one of the other teenagers.
Just.

Batman Has An Adoption Problem but Phantoms have a Babysitting Problem

Alicia lives in Smallville. Danny Fenton spent every summer visiting his aunt.
And until his fourteenth birthday, Danny had no problem with hanging out with a strange child of the Kent family. After all, the Fentons were also considered freaks. He was getting good money for babysitting because he didn’t ask Martha too many questions.
So this is what do the rest of the Justice League see when they bump into the usually newbie-friendly Superman and the Phantom in the hallway:
Superman: "You're like my own personal brand of Kryptonite."
Phantom: ~aww~
Superman: Not in a cute way. You literally make me sick! Have you ever heard of social distance?
Phantom: No :) Tell me, ~I’m dying to know.~
Superman: I hate you!

Dan Phantom is dragging Robin by the neck from Killer Croc’s lair.
Dan: Look, punk, your mother won’t pay me if you don’t live to be a grown-up. Be a good assh...assassin and don't try to play with someone who’s out of your league.
Robin: Fuck off, I am not a baby to listen to a nanny. I'm 10!
Dan:...I’ll call Alfred and tell him you’re fooling around on school night.
Damian: Don't you dare!

DC x DP fic idea: Lex Luther's youngest
Lex Luther will admit that his attempt to clone Superman had failed because he gave Superbo far too much free will. He may have lost the lab and a few scientists, but he still had the receipt in his head.
Yes, Superboy's creation was considered a miracle, but there is no such thing in science. He was sure he could recreate the experiment.
He just needed to ensure this one would have less world knowledge. Keep the weapon a weapon by providing it never thought of itself as anything else.
So he got to work. He blended his DNA with the small remaining samples he had of Superman. It was frustrating to see ninety-nine failed attempts to get the cloning right. Lex was on the last of his piece when he almost gave up, choosing to hype up everything in a last desperate attempt.
He placed it in the tube, left it to process overnight, and when he returned, there was a full teenager in the pod- now glowing green for some reason? Lex pauses, surprised beside himself, before fierce pride overcomes him.
He did it. He's completed his second clone all on his own.
Lex had only a few seconds to celebrate before the experiment jerked awake, and the bluest set of eyes he's ever seen stared back at him. It should be aware later in this stage. Then again, it shouldn't be this grown, either.
The clone screams.
Its voice slams against the glass that should have held against any full Kryptonian and shatters it. Lex throws himself behind one of the counters, feeling the waves of power wash over him.
It shakes the whole underground lab, threatening to bring down the roof over their heads, and Lex can do nothing but cover his ears and press himself against the ground.
The clone is wailing like a haunting banshee. He wasn't even aware Kryoptonian could do this.
The noise dies down. Lex glances over the counter only to find the clone on its hands and knees, gasping for breath. He reaches for the lead box in his pocket, mindful of the clone's every movement.
He'll put it back to sleep with some kryptonite, then place it back in its pod to have its mind molded into the perfect weapon. The experiment springs to his feet as his fingers close around the box. Lex pulls it out and flips open the lid as the clone's eyes lock with his.
Its eyes are green and glowing. Fascinating.
He watches as it starts to waver, tilting dangerously to the side, and smirks, knowing the rock is working. Calmly he walks over; the clone raises its hands in two tight fists, a frown on its face. "None of that now."
He presses the kryptonite against its chin to teach it a lesson. Pian will be the best teacher, and it will learn to obey every command of Lex or face severe consequences. The clone looks down, gaps, and then bites the kryptonite. Cleanly enjoying the flavor as it chews and hums, eyes closing in blessed like Lex had just fed him the highest quality chocolates.
Lex's soft "What the fuck" was very warranted.
"Thanks for the food, Mister." The clone chirps after going for another bite. It smacks its lips, then in a bizarre turn of events, it holds out its hand for a shake. "I'm Danny, by the way. What's your name?"
Lex kept staring at it before slowly taking the offered hand and pumping it up and down. He's not sure if this is real anymore. Maybe he was still asleep?
"This is the part where you tell me your name." The clone says after a while of handshaking. It shifts on its feet clearly with far too much personality, but not one Lex created. Not even one that was influenced. It was literally made last night.
"You know what. This sort of feels like a FruitLoop-level situation, so I will go. Have fun with whatever this is." The clone says, gesturing to the area around them while stepping backward. Lex opens his mouth to tell it there is no escape when it goes through the wall.
Density shifting!? But that was a power of Martian Manhunter, and Lex knows he had not even gotten close to that DNA yet.
He quickly grabs his tablet, clicking on the security cameras of his home, watching the clone fly through all his walls- flying as simple as walking, but not like Superboy, who picked himself up with telekinesis, or Superman, who pushed against gravity but flying as if though he was swimming with the airflow.
The young clone found the last wall and flew out of his home, far above his property, disappearing into the sunset with a black and green blur in his wake.
Lex leans back, putting down the tablet now that he cannot watch the clone and its obvious awareness of its surroundings. How had it learned all of that?
The mystery didn't get in the way of the most important fact: His youngest seemed to be very talented.
Maybe he would treat it like a person if only to keep him here to study. He had to get to Danny- before the rest of the Justice League could and bring the boy into his fold as the perfect heir that Kon refused to be.
How hard could it be to get Danny on his side?
(Danny punched his way into a new dimension after escaping from the burning remains of Amity Park. His parents, sister, and friends fell in battle trying to keep humans and ghosts safe after the GIW started a war with the zone.
After losing his hometown, he led the spirits to victory once the GIW labeled all citizens as too contaminated and ripped away their rights. His town's survivors were at his side, fighting for the ones they lost.
Once they beat the GIW, the government was informed of the small civil war and disbanded the department. It was a hollow victory- their apologies and promises to rebuild would never bring back the ones he lost.
In his grief- and fear of becoming Dan- he went to Clockwork, who only shook his head and told him time was flowing correctly. He then went to FrostBite, who, after listening to the broken King, offered him a home among his people. Danny lived with the Far Frozeen for three years when he was offered a position on the exploration team that would map out the Ghost Zone.
Only the elites of the elites were allowed among them. He accepted. He was given a watch, a magical journal to record what he saw, and feast as a far well.
He then flew through the first uncharted portal, punching the barrier between worlds and bursting into a new universe where he would record and report back to the Far Frozen after five years of living among the natives.
Turns out, flinging himself at the barrier of reality took a lot of power, so when he got to the other side, he promptly passed out. He found himself inside a large tube, contaminating the water with his ectoplasm, and when he woke, it was to a bold man standing outside his box with greed in his eyes.
Danny used the ghostly wail out of instinct. Which may have been overkill since the man offered him frozen ectoplasm after almost passing out again for using what little he had acquired during his nap.
Maybe one day he'll see him again and say thanks. For now, Danny had a new world to explore. )

Thief Danny
This was an idea I got a few weeks back. Some lovely’s on the discord server helped with the idea for this! The reasoning in particular was a big help! That was done by, @fairyarmour If it’s in italics it’s their idea! Then Anything in bold was done by @midas-lost-it . Bold and Italic was done by @proshipper-on-ship Go show them some love! ❤️ They had some great ideas that added to mine.

Danny was far too young and inexperienced to become the Ghost King. Clockwork sent Danny to a different universe for “training” and basically had him build a reputation as a thief.
The reason for Danny becoming a thief is that as a leader, he'll have to make decisions and take actions that make people upset with him. Decisions that he can feel are wholeheartedly for the best but others disagree. Decisions that his advisor(s) steer him towards because there is no right choice, just a least damaging one. And he'll at times have to then work with the people that don't agree with his methods further down the line. So sometimes , best way to learn to (re)build bridges with people that saw you as a monster up until the Crucial Moment is to be in those moments.
Danny doesn’t know why he has to become a thief but he is sure as hell done with it. His first few weeks in this new world Clockwork tells him what to steal and when he needs to steal it. His first hit? A bunch of glowing rocks from some guy named Lex? Slowly, Danny start’s picking his own targets, with the occasional input from CW.
He becomes one of the only people who can steal within Metropolis when superman is around. (He can not hear Danny’s heart or him breaking in or anything) Lex Is losing his mind trying To figure out who phantom is and how they stole from him.
Cat Women is very Intrigued by the new player but they have yet to try their hand at Gotham, so is content to hear stories about them.
Batman wants to set up a trap. Only there’s a couple of issues with this. One, Phantom being the only one who can steal within Metropolis makes them High demand, issue is no one knows how to contact them at all. Secondly, they doesn’t sell anything they steals either it vanishes, is returned to where it was, or it just shows up in a random place. Almost like it’s Practice or something. Thirdly What they steal has no pattern sometimes it’s old ancient things, sometimes it’s paintings sometimes it’s jewelry ect.
The league set up a trap anyway knowing it might not work. Whoever Phantom is they can out Maneuver Superman and has Lex’s supply of kryptonite. They is a threat. They set up a fake magical artifact for phantom to steal.
The thing is it wouldn’t have worked but Clockwork told him he had to go steal that item.
Danny didn’t know about the trap but knowing Clockwork he really should have been on the look out for one. So not only did he to have to fight the big League heroes of this world he had to do it well trying to keep hold of the artifact. The league is worried, Phantom is a literal child! They weren’t expecting to fight a child.
Danny is more than annoyed at Clockwork. The skills he’s building is important if he is to be the next ghost king, But did he seriously need to be a thief? He has been branded as a full blown villain!
Well his title as a villain may be put into question after an incident leads to him saving the JLA (Or titans or young justice or some Batfam members or whatever you wanna go with)
Eventually they are able to set up enough traps/meeting between them and Phantom that a kinda truce is set up. The league is trying to coax him out of the villain life. Which Danny can appreciate but that’s not why he is here.
Slowly over time hints are dropped that Danny has a mentor making him do this. The league is losing their mind looking for some guy who calls himself “CW”. From what little Danny has said it’s not looking good. He is super Paranoid always talking about how CW is watching and knows everything. They think Danny is scared of him, when Danny is just annoyed at him.
Ex:

Danny: "I don't even want this stuff, y'know? But I gotta do it, or else.." Clockwork won't stop bothering "whatever."

Danny mumbles mentions something about screwy masters of time messing with him and holding his family's lives over his head and only about half of it was heard so they think Clock Dad is threatening Danny's family but really Clockwork is all like “*remember that time I saved all their lives? Yeah now go do the thing*”

1/2 I just had a random thought that went into a bit of a tangent. One where Superman & Kryptonians in-general are allergic to cardamom. I have no idea where it came from, but it got me thinking that it would only get a mild reaction, getting in their noses like pepper does us, causing sniffles & a mild rash. Then, I was like, they probably have a reaction to magical plants too. However, the reaction varies depending on not only the individual but the plant too.
2/2 But it works like the magic plants are more effective on them, so a magically toxic plant would be more toxic to them & a magically healing plant would heal more effectively. I then thought to myself that they'd be severely allergic to kryptonium because my brain jumped to the idea that kryptonite is a compound of kryptonium & ectoranium & the kryptonium in the crystals are what allows kryptonite to affect them.

i've seen talks about kryptonium and ectoranium being the same material. to me that does make a level of sense. kryptonium is the radioactive remains of a dead planet, it could very well have a ghostly effect.
i also just personally think it would be funny if kryptonians and ghosts had similar immune systems. just in a general sense it makes sense for someone from a different planet to have more immune reactions to our plants and animals. caffeine is literally technically a poison that humans adapted to. aliens would not have that adaption unless their planet had an equivalent. i'm mentally applying this to all aliens, not just the kryptonians. i could see j'on and m'gann having extremely sensitive stomachs. no milk, no caffeine, no spicy food. some aliens even have a thing against citrus. i could also see a few of the aliens being as stubborn as our human ancestors and putting up with the discomfort because ice cream is good. this is why m'gann continues to bake and eat cookies. it tingles so good.
ironically, conner being part human due to the nature of his cloning process, inherited the adaptions and can eat anything a human can. yes, he absolutely gloats at sups. danny likely has a similar thing. ghosts and human food don't mix, even the lunch lady didn't eat anything so much as control the food and try to feed others. but danny has a human stomach and he's gonna use it. we already know vlad isn't lactose intolerant what with the cheese castle.
but that's just the food allergies. in terms of plant allergies, again it depends on the immune system and childhood exposure. in this sense clark actually has an advantage having grown up on a farm. he would have been exposed to many allergens and his system would have the opportunity to get used to them. in that sense conner, being lab grown, is the opposite so he may have severe pollen allergies. m'gan would have less allergies than j'onn but still get em pretty bad. ghosts, mostly being formerly human and having a similar ecosystem with ghost plants, are fine about plant allergies.
but magical plants, now that's where it gets interesting. because those are rare. therefore no one's body has a chance to get used to it. i assume you were specifically thinking about blood blossoms when writing this, and yes i can definitely see the aliens having as severe of a reaction to them as the ghosts. i'm also reminded of the ghost nip concept and think it's too funny not to include as well. clark getting high on chamomile is comedy gold waiting to happen and i need it. i don't know exactly what makes a plant magic compared to anything else. probably some kind of compound, like you said. but ghosts and aliens being equally threatened by these plants has a lot of story potential as well.
i could see the magical enemies the league has, pulling out the stops and downing 5 (including danny) of the most powerful team members with one plant. it could really effect the course of a fight. also presents the opportunity for sick fics. the team try to find a cure for magical plant poisoning, while clark and danny lay dying together in the medbay. and again high clark sounds hilarious.
it's also just kind of convenient as a story tool. if the fight is too easily ended by danny and clark being op, you could keep the fight going by having a substance neither of them can get near. leaves the fight in the hands of less op characters and means we can watch them shine. good ask, buddy, i really like this - Hestia
