My Final Tumblr Post
Hello everyone! Long time no see, am I right? Anyway, I am making this post because I have decided to retire from using Tumblr. I know this may seem like a surprise to those who still follow me, but let me explain myself.
When I first joined back in 2013, I thought it was the best website ever – my true loyal internet friends were using it, I made some new friends through here, I could reblog & post whatever I wanted to, & best of all I was free to be myself without any restrictions! It was true freedom to be myself!
But as time went on, life continued going forward & things began to change for the better (in most cases). I want things to continue getting better for myself & for others around me, so I only feel it’s time I continued elsewhere. Plus, there are a number of good reasons why I’m logging off of Tumblr. They are as follows:
Most of the blogs I follow, many of which include friends of mine, have stopped using Tumblr, & thus there’s less variety for me to reblog.
Scrolling through Tumblr causes my computer to slow down significantly, & thus it gets more & more frustrating to search for things to reblog.
I really don’t like some of the things they’ve (meaning @staff ) forced upon us, such as making me use the newer design as opposed to the classic blog design.
Other websites I use give me much more satisfaction for passing the time, such as DeviantArt, YouTube, & Instagram.
So yeah, I think those are some good reasons for me to retire from this site. But there are two more matters of business I need to take care of before logging off. Firstly, I’m going to leave my blog & my other blogs up in case people want to search through my archives & reblog things they like.
Second, & more importantly, I want to make it clear that I still wish to maintain many of the relationships I’ve formed here on this site. To my Tumblr friends, especially @tangle-of-ivy, @tbrig, & @pottercourt, I would still like to be friends with you guys if that’s alright. Let me know if you’d like that as well, & I’d be happy to work something out with you guys!

I would strongly recommend my Instagram page out of all of them, personally. I Need Help
Good whatever time of day it is, everybody! This is Danny the Mod writing to you, & I really need to share this. The first thing I want to say is that I’m so thankful that this blog is growing in popularity, & I’m especially thankful to all the wonderful followers who enjoy what I’ve shared thus far. You’ve all been excellent, & I hope you continue enjoying what’s to come!
All of this said though, I need to confess something: as much as I love creating these posts & reminding fellow Catholics that they’re not alone in the world, running this blog & creating these posts for each weekend takes a LOT of work & uses up a lot of my free time. Researching each celebrity & fictional character, finding good pictures, writing up the descriptive explanations of who they are & what they do is very time consuming. Not to mention, having to meet my own quota of 5 posts for each day of the weekend makes the time add up.
So, if you’re wondering what I’m getting at with this, I’m writing this post to say this: running this blog has been very hard & stressful, even though I love doing it. I’ve come to the decision that I really need some help running this blog!
Because making these posts takes up a lot of time & because there are other things I need to get done in my life, I am looking to bring on more moderators to help me run things here. As of right now, I am looking to welcome a maximum of two new moderators to help me out, so if you’re interested in joining this blog & helping me out, here’s what you should do:
If you’re interested in becoming a mod for this blog, please send me either a direct message through Tumblr’s messaging system, or you may send me an ask explaining your interest. If you’d like, you can directly message me or ask me through my personal Tumblr account here. DO NOT use the anonymous button when sending me a message, otherwise I won’t know who I’m speaking to.
Here is what I’m looking for in a fellow moderator:
1. Please be fluent in English, because that’s the only language I speak.
2. Please make sure you have lots of free time to spare, as I mentioned earlier that making these posts can take a lot of time.
3. When creating posts, please try to put in some effort with research & presentation. This blog is meant to be as credible as possible, so I’d like each post to look well organized & be nicely written.
4. Please be open-minded & friendly when creating posts & when responding to asks or messages. I don’t want people being turned off by rudeness or intolerance, because that’s not what being a good Catholic is about.
5. Don’t be afraid to ask me anything or for any help. Teamwork is always a plus!
6. This isn’t actually a requirement, but if you’re a fellow Catholic, that helps out immensely!

Drawgust 31 - Cartoon Danny meets Danny Thomas by me!
Here is my final Drawgust drawing for this year, & it's a more personal one. I've mentioned before in another drawing that I'm named after comedian Danny Thomas, & that I'm really honored to be named after someone who did such good for the world. Even though he died before I was born, I imagined a scenario where my cartoon self meets him outside of the St. Jude Children's Hospital, & he gives me some good words of wisdom:

A Proper Introduction of the Mod
Even though this blog of mine is a fairly recent one, I noticed it has gained quite a lot of popularity in a short amount of time. Firstly, I’d like to thank all of you who’ve been following me for doing so & enjoying my content. It has been so great to see that there are more Catholics on Tumblr than I initially thought, & it further illustrates the point of my blog: No one is alone in their beliefs!
So, because I’ve noticed this blog’s popularity growing with each day, I thought now would be a good time to properly introduce myself. So, who am I?
My name is Daniel. I’m an aspiring children’s author with an immense imagination & a great passion for telling stories & bringing people joy. I also enjoy creating artwork, & here are a few samples:
Also, like you (or at the very least a good chunk of you), I am Catholic. I do believe in God & Heaven, & I do believe in Jesus, His words, & His resurrection. Additionally, I am someone who believes in being kind to one another, regardless of our differences. So, if you ever want to ask me anything through this blogs ask box or though my own Tumblr blogs ask box, please feel free to! I will do my best to treat you with great kindness.

I was tagged @daniellaux429 I’m excited to do this one because you actually wrote these questions, so I know they’ll be entertaining! I’m not going to tag anyone though because im laaazy.

Okay, so let’s begin!
1. Do you prefer reading with a physical book in your hands, or listening to audiobooks?
Book in my hands 100%
2. Do you have a favorite internet star? If so, who is it & what do you enjoy about their work?
I still consistently watch Jenna Marbles. She’s the only youtuber that I watch anymore because I think her humor has evolved with me and she just likes to have a good time, which I appreciate.
3. It’s your birthday, & you’re having a nice big cake to celebrate. What kind of cake is it?
I usually have a regular chocolate cake with my mom’s icing recipe. Its pretty good. My dream cake is a mint chocolate chip ice cream cake though.
4. What is your favorite wild animal? In other words, what’s an animal you love that you can see at the zoo but not at the pet store?
Hmmm maybe Lions. They’re chill.
5. You’re going to a big convention, & several people will be dressing up as their favorite character. Who will you cosplay as?
I would never have the guts to actually dress up, but maybe one of the companions from doctor who. They get to wear casual clothes lol

Lol how did you think of this question? I probably wouldn’t even go to his house.
9. You’re really rich & will continue gaining more money as the years come. The catch is you have to donate at least 40% of it to the charity of your choice. What charity will you choose to support?
I’d have to do research on which charity actually uses the donations wisely, but I would want to donate to an organization that helps the environment.
10. Would you rather travel to an alien planet to meet some aliens, or travel back to the Mesozoic Era to meet some dinosaurs?
I’m going to say the Mesozoic era because that means time travel exists and that opens up a world of potential.
11. Which of these two actresses has the best accent: Gal Gadot (Israeli accent) or Saoirse Ronan (Irish accent)? Or do you think both ladies have equally lovely accents?
Ugh I love them both! I am having more fun listening to Saoirse right now. Her accent is just so different from anything you normally hear. Maybe I’ve just gotten used to Gal’s by now idk.
