I remember when I first got into Fandom. (Timelines fuzzy at some parts) December-ish 2019. I would watch voice actors read Undertale comics. Eventually, I stumble upon one that I need more of. I checked the description of the video.
Sooner or Later You're Gonna be Mine by staringback was the story on a website I'm unfamiliar with; ☆Archive of our Own☆ I read the whole fic in one night. A few months later, I realized it hadn't been updated since around a week before I read it.
I then get curious, I understand that things made more for older people had fanfiction, but what about shows for kids? I put in the one show my parents found incredibly immature: Miraculous Ladybug.
To my surprise; not only was there fanfiction, there was A LOT of fanfiction. And so it began. I discovered Damianette.
I also got into Hermitcraft Season 7. Mostly, I would watch Grian at first, but over time, I branched out to other creators. This would have been early covid.
Now, I was still in high school at that point. June rolls around, and for the next school year, I'm online learning. Instead of doing my school, I started to wonder if Hermitcraft had any fanfiction. That was the day I finally learned. Fanfiction knows no bounds.
I get into the DSMP after November 16 2020. I'm pretty sure it was because I found a lot of Tommyinnit ending up in my Hermitcraft fanfics. (I still didn't have an account on AO3, so I just obsessively checked the Hermitcraft Tag.
My only regret is that "Sooner or Later You're Gonna be Mine" by staringback did not update again after I found it.

Damianette December Day 9- book
It may be confusing when the boys are speaking English and when they’re speaking French but, generally, they are speaking English unless they are addressing Marinette directly.
@daminette-december2019-2020
Considering how awful it had gone the last time the class had done this, it was surprising that Ms. Bustier’s class was once again at the Grand Paris to try the various jobs around the hotel. True to her previous actions, Chloe still did her utmost to drag Marinette down, this time, she was stuck cleaning the lobby.
The joke was on Chloe though, because Marinette wasn’t so spoiled that she didn’t appreciate what janitors and cleaning maids did. It was just cleaning, not like it was going to hurt her.
As she was vacuuming the couch, she found something between the cushions, a book. “Hey Tikki, what do you think this is?” she opened it up a bit and saw a sketch of a city skyline. The city was unfamiliar to her but it definitely helped her figure out that she was holding a sketchbook.
“D.a. G.W.,” that was the only thing that indicated who it might belong to. “Should we give this to the front desk, right Tikki? It’s probably a hotel guest’s if it was in the lobby, they’d probably be able to find them based on the initials or at least hold it until they came back.” She looked back to where Chloe was sitting, filing her nails, and groaned slightly. “Or maybe we try to find them ourselves?”
“Marinette. You know the right thing to do here would be to give Chloe the sketchbook and leave it to the lobby clerk.” the kwami understood Marinette’s frustration but, was also dedicated to guiding her partner on the right path.
“Yeah, I know you’re right. I just wish you weren’t,” she made her way to the front desk. “Someone left this behind Chloe.”
The blond glanced at her. “And? What do you want me to do about it? Just throw that dirty book away and be done with it. Do your job properly, Dupain-Cheng.” That was about how well Marinette expected the conversation to go. Instead of talking back and making the situation worse, she held herself back, Chloe would just make some snide comment or complain to her father.
Turning around, she decided to finish the job she had been given and then asked Ms. Bustier if she could try to find the owner of the sketchbook. As someone who frequently used one herself, she knew how important sketchbooks were to an artist, and based on the details of the first sketch she saw, the owner of the book was definitely an artist.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“It’s great that you got permission Marinette.”
“It is Tikki. Now we just need to get Chloe away from the computer. Luckily she’s easy to read.” Marinette walked up to the lobby desk again after she was sure the Lobby Clerk was still gone. “Hey, Chloe. Did you see all of those fans fawning over Adrien on the Hotel’s rooftop. He’s practically surrounded by them.” Rage instantly filled Chloe’s face when she heard those words.
“No one’s allowed close to my Adrikins except me.” And voila, the front desk was missing one Chloe Bourgeois. Marinette slipped behind the desk, once Chloe was safely in the elevator and went to search up the guest in the database.
She looked up last names beginning with W first, to see if any fit the initials she found in the book. Unfortunately, she was out of luck there. On the bright side, it wasn’t a long list to go through, so she managed to finish quickly.
It then occurred to her that perhaps, like her last name, this person also had two last names, so she looked through the names that began with A next. She still didn’t find anything. Checking the time, she noticed that Chloe might be back soon so she had to come up with a new plan.
“What if you looked for the person based on where they live?” It was Tikki’s suggestion.
“That might work but, I don’t know where they’re from.”
“But, perhaps the sketchbook might give you some clues as to where they may be from. The cityscape at the beginning could be where this person lives, they may find inspiration from the things around them, kind of like you.”
“It’s worth a shot,” she hesitated a bit before she started turning the pages of the book. It felt kind of invasive to go through someone’s sketches without their permission but there was no telling if they would ever find their sketchbook otherwise.
“Oh, wow,” the pictures were genuinely breathtaking. It was like Tikki thought, most of the pictures were of a city, and based on the architecture, it seemed like it was the same city. A few pictures of animals appeared, and one of a fantasy creature but, mostly it was a city.
It seemed that the owner liked to sketch more secluded or lesser-known spots since none of the places had any distinguishing features, especially none she could recognize, until she turned the page, and saw a building with the words “Wayne Enterprise” on the side of the building. There was no mistaking where that building was. “Gotham! Tikki, they’re from Gotham!”
She hurriedly looked up the location on the computer and saw a booking by a Richard Grayson for three rooms on the 5th floor. And they were still there, which was a relief because she wasn’t sure what she would do if they had left Paris already.
The name didn’t match the sketchbook, but it occurred to her just then, that perhaps the owner themselves didn’t make the booking and was traveling with friends or family. Slipping from behind the desk she made her way to the elevator just as it arrived. Out of it, Chloe dragging a reluctant Adrien exited. Adrien caught her eye and winked at her.
Being her superhero partner for the past 3 years, he knew when she was scheming something, and he knew just how to go along with her crazy plans. Sending him a grateful smile, she entered the elevator and made her way to the room number she had found.
Standing in front of the hotel room, she began to second guess herself. They might not even be there right now, or maybe she got the wrong room. Just as she was determined to leave and find one of the actual employees to take care of the situation, the door in front of her opened. She came face to face with a man, black hair and insanely blue eyes, who stared at her just as she stared at him.
“Oh god, Bruce found another one, didn’t he. Dick! Can you please tell Bruce to stop adopting children?” The man spoke in English so she couldn’t quite follow along with what he said only something about children and the fact that he was addressing someone else.
“Excuse me?” she hoped he understood French. “I found this sketchbook in the lobby and I think it might belong to someone staying in this hotel room.” The man’s eyes finally saw the book in her hands just as another almost identically looking man came to the door.
He seemed half asleep as he stood in the threshold holding a cup of coffee in his hand. “What’re going on about Jason. Bruce didn’t adopt anyone recently, Alfred already asked me to keep an eye on any adoption papers that might be processing with his name on it. I’d know if he was adopting someone.” the sleepy man’s eyes landed on her and the cup in his hand fell to the floor with a crash. “Shit. I didn’t think about foreign countries. I’ve got to go tell Alfred.”
The first man grabbed the other one before he could leave. “Relax, it was a false alarm, she’s just returning something for Damian.” He turned to her, “I’ll take it, I know who it belongs to.” Up to that point, Marinette didn’t quite get what was going on, but she was sure that she didn’t entirely trust these people. It was hard to follow their  English but their actions were weird.
“I’m sorry Monsieur, but I would feel more comfortable if I gave it to the actual owner of the book, instead of… his acquaintance.”
“Trust me, you don’t want to meet the brat. He’ll probably accuse you of stealing. It would be better to give it one of us to pass along.” The skepticism remained on her face. That was when a voice came from behind the two men in the doorway.
“Get out of the damn way, you morons. I can’t leave the room with you blocking the entrance.”
The first man sighed in resignation when the voice came through and stepped aside. “Well, I guess it can’t be helped now. It’s this demon spawn’s sketchbook.” she turned to see the artist that she had been looking for.
He was about average height, although compared to the person who had initially opened the door, he was small. His skin was also more tanned than his acquaintances, and although they share the same black hair, his eyes were a brilliant green, more vibrant than even Adrien’s.
“Excuse me, Monsieur,” she called out to him. “I seemed to have found your sketchbook in the hotel lobby. Is this your book?” he stopped in his tracks when she started talking.
Numbly, he nodded his head. Recognizing that he hadn’t properly answered, he cleared his throat. “Sorry. Yes, that’s my book.” his responses, while curt were far from insulting as the other man had suggested. Holding the book out to him, their fingers touched as he grabbed the book.
His touch was warm and gentle and it startled her enough that she accidentally let go of the book. Apparently, he was also startled for he too, let go of the sketchbook, and it fell to the floor with a resounding thud.
“Sorry, sorry. I didn’t mean to let go so soon,” Marinette bent down to pick up the book.
“It’s okay. I’m at fault as well.” He took the book from her outstretched hand. “Thank you, for finding my sketchbook and returning it to me.”
“No problem. I understand how devastating it might be to lose a sketchbook, I’m happy I could bring it back to you.” she smiled at him and then checked the watch she was wearing. It was almost time for her class to leave. “I need to head back but, it was wonderful meeting you.” she waved and turned around towards the elevator.
Damian stared at her back as she left. Only, when she had already been gone for a few minutes did he notice a book on the ground. Picking it up, he saw the name Marinette Dupain-Cheng written on the front, and, opening up the front page he saw that it was her sketchbook.
It seemed that this time he was going to have to find her.

Don't Mess with Marinette (Damianette December)
A/N: I absolutely loved writing this! Once again, any and all feedback appreciated!
After a night full of decorating and good night’s rest, Marinette had decided that she wanted to have some fun today. She had packed many things for this trip, including but not limited to: her sewing machine, special fabrics, commission pieces, several sketchbooks, and Ultimate Mecha Strike III. Tikki had flown up next to her head, getting a look at some items she brought.
“Marinette, I think you should do something for yourself today. You've been working on your commissions for a few months now. One day off shouldn’t hurt,” Tikki said with a helpful tone. Marinette gave a thought to her schedule set out. She could probably finish the hems on the hats along with the stitching for the shirts the next day.
“You’re right, Tikki. One day wouldn’t hurt. Maybe Adrien would want to play Ultimate Mecha Strike III with me?” She grabbed the game and bounced out of her room down the hall towards his room.
After a little bit of wrong turns and navigating, she made it to his room. She knocked on her door 3 times and a very bed-head ridden Adrien opened the door. He took one look at her and the game and shut the door in her face.
“Adrien! Come on just one game! I’ll go easy on you!” she pleaded through the door.
“The last time we played that game, I ended up having to clean up the kitchen from the food fight that resulted from it. Never again.”
“I’ll make some of my passion fruit macarons.”
“I’ll be out in 5 minutes!”
An hour later, Jason walked into the gaming room and the sight was something to behold. There, on the ground, was wads of cash, several hundreds could be counted from just a glance. Not only that, but it seemed to be from Adrien. One look at the screen and they saw Marinette absolutely dominating Adrien, and seeing him grumble to himself and pull out some more cash.
“Pixie Pop? What’s going on here?”
“Oh, hey Jason! Me and Adrien are just playing a game. Wanna try?”
Against you? I mean, I don’t want to brag, but I am pretty good at video games.”
“Go ahead dude. Knock yourself out. Don’t be upset though when she takes you for all your worth.” Adrien hands the controller to him and leaves to go take a nap.
“Don’t worry, I’ll go easy on you.”
“Oh Jason, I’m not the one who needs the help.”
Dick came running into the room around 30 minutes later when he heard Jason scream. He seemed upset and Dick, being the older brother and his helpful nature, went to go and help him. He was confused when he got to the gaming room. What’s Jason upset at? He was about to walk in when Jason stormed out, mumbling about a rigged game. Dick peeked his head in and saw Marinette, sweet little Marinette. Maybe he could ask her what he’s upset at.
Ask and you shall receive. When he found out it was that he was a little upset at a game, Dick tried doing exactly what Jason did and that is what led to his downfall. He was a little more gracious in his loss, but nonetheless, she had surely shaken him up for all his pocket change. He walked around the house to find Tim, hoping that the genius of the house could stop the madman. He ended up finding him near the coffee pot with a case file in hand.
“Tim, I need help,” Dick pleaded. He only got a mumble in return so he continued. “Marinette needs to be stopped. She’s playing a game and has completely destroyed everyone so far but you and Damian. We need to stop the monster before it gets too bad.”
“What game is it?” Tim asked idly.
“Ultimate Mecha Strike III.”
Tim looks up and slowly breaks into a grin. That was one of his favorite games. He knew almost, if not all, off the hidden mechanics. He marched down into the game room with Dick in tow. He grabbed the controller next to Marinette as she was counting the money she made.
“I see you’ve come to reclaim your brother’s honor. Don’t worry, this shouldn’t hurt too bad.”
It was a battle. Not a fierce one but a battle nonetheless. Well Tim may think he knows most of the game’s mechanics, he was not further from the truth. He had managed maybe an hour up against her before his inevitable downfall. She started off easy, letting him get a few hits in, raising his ego, before she truly ripped him to shreds. By the time they had finished, Marinette was up a few more hundreds. Jason, Adrien, and Damian had also come to see the fight. When Tim had failed, everyone was outraged. How had this small little girl beat the big strategist on their team. well, everyone was upset except for Damian. He had just gave a fond smile before walking over to his angel.
“What gives Damian? Conspiring with the devil?” asked Jason in a teasing tone.
“Of course not. Just giving my Angel the credit she deserves. Besides, it was nice to see I am not the only one who she wipes the floor with at video games.”
“What do you mean?” asked Dick with question.
“That was our first date, playing video games. I think it was the same game too. I think that was the day that I realized I loved you, Habibti. I loved that you absolutely destroyed me at such a game.” Damian said softly to Marinette.
“Damian,” said Marinette with a face as red as the mask she donned. She hid her face in Damian’s neck and he gave her a hug, shielding her from the world. They would have stayed that way a little longer if it weren’t for the clearing of Adrien’s throat.
“So, when am I getting those macarons I was promised?”

Fell In Love With A Kent
It has been three weeks since Hawkmoth appeared. Three weeks since Superman discovered her identity. Three weeks since she met Robin. And her brother is adamnt to leave both of them alone in a room. "Superboy! What in the world!" Ladybug shouted, using her yoyo to set herself on top of the Daily Planet building, "Why do you keep doing that!" "Doing what sis?" the young super said trying and failing to look innocent. "You know what I mean!" Ladybug screamed.
"Aw come on! I can't stand the tension anymore," Superboy said dramatically, "And it's obvious he feels the same way." Ladybug sighed, "I doubt it." Robin and Ladybug are aquintances, nothing more, not even friends. Superboy was right about the tension always increases the second they are in the same room. Goodness knows what would happen if they were in one alone.
"Superboy, just leave us be," Ladybug said, swinging away.
Meanwhile...
"Come on, Damiiiiiii," a Dick Grayson whined, "Just ask her out alreadyyyyyyy." Yes, Dick knows about Damian's situation with Ladybug. How? Jon. "Tt, I said no Grayson. I do not feel attracted to her," Damian told him. "Lies," Grayson said
"You haven't even met her, why do you want me to court her," Damian asked, getting even more impatient. Dick grinned, "Because she can basically make you smile lil' D. Your lips tug everytime one of us mentions her name."
Dick skipped out of the room, leaving his little brother behind. He took out his phone and looked for Jon Kent. "Any luck on your end?" the elder asked through his phone. Jon sighed, "Unfortunately not. Shall we move on to plan B?"
"Thought you'd never ask."
≻───── ⋆✩⋆ ─────≺
"Eight... Nine... Ten! Ready or not! Here I come!" Nightwing childishly shouted as he skidded down the halls of the Hall of Justice. He and Jon came up with the idea of tricking Ladybug into playing hide and seek with them, and then telling Robin that Ladybug is missing.
Ladybug didn't think much of it, knowing how childish the two could be. She took her sketchbook with her and hid in the cabinet under the kitchen sink. She had started doodling while she waited. Unbeknownst to her, Superboy had flew behind her as quietly as possible so he knew where she was hiding. Soon after Nightwing finished counting, he went to look for Robin with Nightwing.
"Hey Rob," Nightwing started, "Have you seen Ladybug?"
"I'm afraid I haven't, why?" Robin answered.
"Can you help us out? I need to ask her something?" Superboy said, "I can look for her in the meeting room, Wing can look for her in the training room, and can you look for her in the kitchen?"
Robin sighed, "Fine."
Robin walked over to the kitchen near the meeting room. As soon as he entered the kitchen Nightwing and Superboy closed and locked the door.
Robin just sighed again as he saw Ladybug open the cabinet knowing what just happened.
Knowing Superboy was probably listening in, Ladybug signed in ASL, "When will they stop trying?"
"When we tell them that we are already courting," Robin signed back.
Ladybug grinned and raised an eyebrow, "And when is that exactly?"
"Whenever you want beloved," Robin smiled as they both started to pretend and break the tension.

Hi! So... I have some bad news...
I have been working on the part twos for the oneshots I said I would however, recently my phone broke and I have written some parts in my notes. I had no backup, it's all gone...
Luckily I have the third part of the 'Running Away' series set up on Wattpad. So that one’s safe. The other two 'A Cat's Falling From the Sky' part two and 'Since We Were Young' part two, were lost. It might take longer for me to update.
I love you all and sorry.

Day 2: Swordplay
@daminette-december2019-2020
The Waynes knew that Damian was hiding something from them. Why else was he sneaking out about every day at the same time to god know where? What they didn't know was WHERE he was going. So, they did the most logical thing they could do other than following him. Because unlike Jason, who seemed to have a death wish, the rest of the Waynes were quite happy staying alive. And they didn't want the words,' maimed by their little brother' written on their tombstone. They decided to confront him.
One day as Damian was sneaking out once again, all the Wayne siblings stopped him from going through the door. They noticed the sword in his hand but didn't say a word about it. Instead, Jason gave Damian a shit-eating grin and said, "So Demon Spawn! Where are you going? Do you have a cute date, or are you planning someone's murderer?" ...Yeah, Jason had a death wish.
Dick quickly broke in before Jason could do any further damage, "That's not what he meant, Lil' D. We're just curious about where you've been going lately. We want the best for you, Dami."
Damian looked conflicted on what to do, and his siblings thought that they had put him in a hard place, but instead, he answered them like the brat he was. "Tt, it is not the business of any of you imbeciles. So go and get your idiotic brains out of my business and go and annoy someone else." He then stormed out of the manor and quickly got into his car before driving off. Dick, Jason, Tim, Steph, and Cass all looked at each other. Yeah, they were going to go follow him, but they were curious. And at this point, they were willing to die if only to get information. Guess curiosity really did kill the cat...
And that is why they were now following Damian's car to his unknown destination. After a couple of minutes, Damian finally stopped the car in front of a building. They looked over to the building and realized that it was the local gym. But, the Waynes always had a rented out room because it wouldn't be a good idea for them to be seen sparring. It would create too much gossip, and the Waynes already had enough of that circling around them 24/7.
They all quickly took off their suits, wearing their civilian clothes again, before walking into the gym. They hurried inside, hoping to see the cause of Damian's secrecy.  And what they saw greatly surprised them.
There inside the room was Damian and a girl! They were both holding katanas. The one that Damian was holding was the katana he had snuck out with today.  The girl, on the other hand, seemed to be using one of Damian's katanas as well. But something that all of Damian's siblings knew was that Damian NEVER let anyone touch his katana. Just who was this girl?
They watched the pair swordfight. But two things seemed odd during the match. One was that Damian and the girl were equally matched, and Damian didn't look to be holding back. Another was that they weren't just sword fighting. They were flirting the whole time! During the match, they danced around each other exchanging blows and witty, flirty remarks. What they were doing wasn't a swordfight. No, it was swordplay.
Finally, the girl pinned Damian to the ground while smirking, "Looks like I won, Habibi Al-Shaytan (My Beloved Demon)."
Damian chuckled lightly which scared his sibling half to death. "It seems so, Malaki Jamiliti (My Beautiful Angel)." He then leaned forward to kiss her. And that was when Jason decided to announce his presence along with everyone else.
"WHAT THE FUCK!!! You have a fucking girlfriend! Why the hell would she want to date someone as demonic as you?!" When the girl heard that, she walked over to Jason and roundhouse kicked him. This effectively made him shut up, and she released the anger she felt when he said negative things about her boyfriend. Her actions left everyone in shock except for Damian who was smiling at her proudly.
Jason groaned in pain while muttering, "Shit, that fucking hurt. How could a small pixie manage to do that?" His words ended up snapping everyone out of their shock.
Stephanie bounded forward and shook her hand furiously, "Hi, Tiny! I'm Stephanie! But, you can call me Steph! The asshole you kicked is Jason. The smiling man is Richard or Dick. The quiet but analytical girl is Cassandra or Cass. The man who has a coffee in his hand and looks like he's seconds away from collapsing is Timothy or Tim. It's nice to meet you!"
The girl smiled pleasantly before replying with a hint of a French accent, "It's nice to meet you too, Steph! I'm Marinette. I assume that you are Dami's siblings."
Dick smiled widely, "Oh, little D! You talked about us!"
Damian huffed, "Tt, they're mostly complaints about you imbeciles."
Marinette shook her head with a smile on her face. She then looked over to Tim as he asked, "How did you meet?"
Marinette replied, "We met a few years ago through a mutual acquaintance. We became friends and started dating two years ago."
They looked from Damian to Marinette in disbelief before shouting, "YOU'VE HAD A SECRET GIRLFRIEND FOR TWO YEARS!!!".
Oh boy, was the thought that went through Damian's head. This was going to take a lot of explaining.
Bonuses:
#1 Bruce and Alfred find out about Marinette.
Bruce: You're saying that Damian has been dating someone for two years and NONE of us knew about it
Everyone other than Damian, Marinette, and Alfred: YES!
Bruce: I'm going to go process this somewhere else. Congratulations son on your girlfriend

Everyone: What's wrong?!
Alfred: I'm finally going to have a great-grandchild
Everyone other than Damian and Marinette: ...
Damian: This shows how much faith Alfred has in you guys getting a partner and keeping them
#2 Marinette's reaction to Alfred wanting a great-grandchild
Marinette: Wait! You're relying on us for a great-grandchild

Day 15: Cat
oof I didn’t post for a couple days... it’s fine, but I’ve been trying to figure out if anyone actually care if I post things...
Daminette December: Master List
The Master: Master List
-------------------------------------
“Achoo” Marinette sneezes with a sniffle. It was the first time Marinette had been over at manor before. She smiled as sees Alfred the cat was rubbing his face on her ankle. She bends down and pets Alfred. She smiles and cooes.
She sneezes as they walk to chill on the couch. Alfred follows them and sits on Marinette’s lap. “Wow, he likes you, it’s a first,” Damian says, petting Alfred’s head. She sneezes again. “Marinette? Are you allergic to cats?”
“I hope not, I’ve always wanted to have a cat and I couldn’t have one when I was younger because I grew up living in a bakery,” Marinette sighs.
“We can get you tested soon if you want to know,” Damian says.
Later that week, Marinette was taken to a specialist and she was told that she was in fact not allergic. When they moved into together Damian surprised her with a baby kitten.

Marinette stood by the Leyline Terminal, muttering to herself as she did a mental checklist.
ID? Check.
Purse? Check.
Phone? Check.
Sketchbook and pencils? Check.
Wand? Check.
Extra batteries? Check.
Hat?....
“How did I forget my hat?” Marinette whined, scanning her room for it but knew there was no use in looking for it when she couldn’t find it.
It was almost time to meet with Damian, so if she wanted to meet him in time, she’d just have to go without it.
Grabbing her purse, Marinette took off.
She yelled and apologized to friends she almost bumped into, ignoring their questions of ‘where are you heading?’ She slowed down and speed walked when she saw teachers and the headmistress, flashing an awkward smile as she waved at her.
Running past the campus’ quad, Marinette managed to get to the Leyline Terminal on time, wanting to collapse to the floor as soon as she got there.
“Worried you were going to be late for our date?” Damian teased.
“Well, I wouldn’t- Damian!” Marinette squeaked, feeling the tips of her ears glow with heat. “Ha-how long have you been-”
“Not long.” Damian replied, standing in front of her. “Are you ready to head out?” Grinning, Marinette nodded.
“Yup!”
She followed Damian, confused when he suddenly stopped. “What’s wrong?” She asked, peering over his shoulder, wondering why he was hesitant to walk into the empty-
Empty?
“The car that dropped me off...is gone.” Damian huffed, not believing that Dick actually meant what he said earlier. He really did mean it when he said that Damian should use his own efforts to make their outing a success.
“Gone? So, they-”
“Left? Yes.” Damian sighed, taking out his phone to text his father only for Marinette to place her hand over his.  He looked up. “What’s wrong?”
“We can still get to the other side without your car.”
“How?” Damian asked, wondering how exactly did she think they would get to the other side of the magical barrier without-
He watched as she whipped out her wand, a broad smile across her face. “Right. Magic.”
“Make sure to not move around too much. We might fall and get lost in the Leyline if you do.” Marinette warned, looking at her wand and then at him. “Would you like to try casting the spell?”
Damian looked at the wand she was offering him and received it. “How does the spell go?”
Smiling, Marinette placed her hands over his, adjusting his posture before letting go.
“First, you have to close your eyes.” He did. “Now, repeat after me. Tia Freye!”
“Tia Freye!” Damian recited, opening his eyes when he felt himself being lifted off the floor, watching as a magic circle lifted them to the ceiling above them, watching as it bursted open, green speckles of stardust falling past them.
Awestruck, Damian watched as they made their way into the Leyline, not being able to take his eyes off the minty scenery around them.
“Do you have a place of mind? Or would you like to go to the default station in England?”
Damian looked at Marinette, her hair- were in a pair of twin braids...it suited her just like her pigtails.
“The Leyline can take us anywhere?” Damian asked. She nodded. “Anywhere? Even if I haven’t been there in a while?” Marinette nodded again.
“You just have to concentrate on the place in mind while we exit the Leyline. With the place in mind, the Leyline will lead you to the closest terminal in that country.”
“I see.” Damian said, concentrating on the place he had in mind. “Hope you don’t mind some cave exploring.”
--
They ended up in New Zealand, Marinette taken back by the time difference. It was already late at night, but that didn’t deter Damian from taking her out as he had promised her.
After a few minutes, Damian had managed to buy some food and a blanket before guiding Marinette to their next destination...which happened to be at the other side of a dark forest.
“Trust me,” was all Damian said once they stepped foot, Marinette following him,
Marinette could feel herself shiver as the two wandered through the dark greenery, Marinette having to double check each step she took, envying Damian.
Aside from having a cozy sweater to keep him warm, he walked through the forest with such confidence, he didn’t have to look where to step. He just walked.
“Damian, where exactly are we?”
“If I tell you know, it will ruin the surprise.” He blatantly said. “Be careful around here. There are some rather steep-“
Just as he said that, he jinxed her.
Marinette let out a yelp as she was about to fall to the lower level of the hill when Damian grabbed her just in time.
“Thanks.”
“Don’t mention it.” He lifted her up, glad to see no visible injuries. “Are you alright?”
“If anything, just shocked.”
“I should’ve been guiding you more properly than just telling you to follow me.” Damian offered his hand, Marinette taking it. “If only we had more-“
“Light!” Marinette exclaimed, causing Damian to jump a bit. “We can use my wand to-“
“I thought using magic outside of Luna Nova was against the rules.” Damian watched as Marinette nervously laughed, putting back her wand into her purse.
“Well, using our wands outside of campus is against the rules. They never said anything about communicating with the sprites already there.”
Damian watched Marinette grin as she crouched to the ground.
“What are you-“
Marinette held a finger to her lips before she began to sing.
As she continued to sing, Damian became mesmerized by the glowing bud that sprouted out from the ground, opening up to show a tiny forest sprite that hummed in sync with Marinette’s lovely singing.
When the sprite stopped humming, so did Marinette.
“Hello. My name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng. I was wondering if you would be so generous as to help light up the forest a bit while we get to our destination. Of course, I would reward you with these.”
Damian watched as the tiny forest sprite eagerly twirled around when Marinette showed it some crystal daisies in her hands.
The sprite eagerly accepted the gift, giving Marinette a smile before disappearing and reappearing with more of its kind. “Thank you very much!” Marinette dropped some more crystal flowers for the sprites before getting up and joining Damian’s side.
“How-“
“I learned how to speak and invoke sprites when I was three. My grandmother taught me during her summer stays. It’s the only form of magic that came naturally to me.”
Damian hummed. “So, shall we continue our exploration?”
At those words, Damian nodded, once more offering his hand to her, which she accepted.
With the help of the forest sprites, Damian was finally able to reach the cave entrance he had been wanting to show Marinette.
“Marinette, do they only like those crystal flowers you gave them?” Damian asked as he turned to see the second to last sprite disappear.
“Hmmm. They like the crystal daisies because it’s actually crystallized mana that they can consume. Once consumed, the mana allows them to produce more of their magic. However, they do like gemstones as well. It’s like some type of currency within the sprite world.”
Marinette watched Damian hum, retrieving something in his pocket and crouched to the last forest spirit’s level.
She watched with wide eyes as he handed a ruby to the spirit, who also gasped at the gift.
“Thank you for your help. We really appreciate it.”
Damian watched as the spirit hugged his hand before disappearing, a smile on their face as it snuggled closely to the newly acquired gem.
“That was kind of you.” Marinette said with a smile, giving Damian’s hand a squeeze.
“It was the correct thing to do.” Damian said, gesturing to Marinette to follow him.
The two kept walking into the dark cave when Marinette began to see tiny glowing blue lights start to appear more and more above them.
Soon, they found themselves surrounded by these sparkling blue stars, Marinette taken away by the scenery. It was like looking at a clear starry night.
As they kept going further into the cave, Marinette didn’t realize Damian had casted another “tia freye” causing the two to drift through the rest of the cave.
Marinette stretches out her hand to try and reach for them, but she was pleased to know she couldn’t.
“It’s beautiful.” She found herself softly whispering.
“And so are you.” Damian replies, Marinette thanking the tiny stars that their light was dim enough to hide her blush.
But even though her blush was hidden, she knew her feelings were still there for him to see.
“To think something this beautiful is being hidden from the world.”
“My mother brought me here once. When I was very young.” Damian told her. “Waitomo Caves. Home to the bioluminescent creature, Arachnocampa Luminosa.”
“Bioluminescent glow worms.” Marinette said back, watching as they were nearing the end of the cave.
“But that’s not why I brought you here.” Damian confessed, Marinette wondering what exactly could best the fantasy world they were just in. “Close your eyes.”
She did.
She felt as the two were now on dry land, or rather, grass.
She felt as a nice breeze blew across her face, her body trembling. She guessed Damian must have seen it as she felt him drape something over her, his scent on the sweater causing her to blush.
“Are we almost there?”
“Almost.” Damian told her, Marinette continuing to follow him.
She felt as he let go of her hand and walked around her, Marinette hearing what seemed to be rocks moving and a curse here and there, causing her to giggle.
When he slipped his hand back into hers, Marinette followed his lead. “Open your eyes.”
Marinette felt out of breath when she opened them, wishing to forever remain in that ethereal moment. For time to stop so that she could take in the beauty that was in front of her.
“Mon Dieu. It’s gorgeous.” Marinette, taking slow steps as she kept adoring the night sky above them. “I never thought I would ever be able to see the Milky Way in anything other than a textbook, tapestries or the holographic form we use in astronomy class.
They look so- oh! Damian! Look over there! That’s Crux!” Marinette squealed, taking out her phone and taking a picture of it. She then took out her sketchbook and quickly began to draw it, a few notes being taken at the side.
“Crux?” Damian asked, taking a seat on the makeshift picnic area he made for the two of them. He watched as Marinette kept staring at the stars above them, the Milky Way perfectly reflected against her bluebell eyes.
“Crux, often called the Southern Cross. Because Crux hasn’t been able to go over the horizon since 400 BC, northern countries like England, aren’t able to see it anymore.” Marinette pulled Damian’s sweater closer to her body. “To think I’m seeing it for the first time like this…” She turned to Damian, a shooting star passing behind her. “Thank you.
Thank you for bringing me here.”
--
“Seems like we’re here.” Marinette said, Damian picking up on the tint of sadness underlaid in her words.
By the time Damian and Marinette got back to Luna Nova, it had become evening, 17:00 to be exact.
During their flight back, Damian watched as Marinette longed to remain under those stars, staring at the sky above them the entire trip, as if hoping it would’ve followed her back.
Waitomo Caves and the scenery of the Milky Way on that mountain could never be replicated here at Luna Nova. Even if it was recently rejuvenated with the plethora of magic, no magic could do nature’s lovely masterpieces’ true justice.
“You seem...down.” Damian obviously pointed out, not expecting Marinette to laugh at his observation.
“I guess...I kinda wished we could’ve stayed there for a bit longer.” Marinette confessed, playing with the ends of her braids, only then realizing she still had on his sweater.
She completely forgot she had it on thanks to how soft it was despite being a bit big and long it was on her. “Oh! Here! Thank you for lend-”
“Keep it.” Damian said, stopping her from taking it off, gently holding her wrist in his hand.
“But-”
“Keep it.”
“Damian, it’s y-”
“I could simply buy another one just like it.” Damian fought back, watching Marinette pout, causing him to chuckle. “Keep it. I don’t mind you being its new owner.”
He watched as Marinette huffed in defeat, pulling the sweater closer to her small frame.
Would she look just as good in anything that was his?
“I know I said this before, but thank you,” Marinette said, placing her hand on his shoulder, using it to lift herself off the ground to place a chaste kiss on his cheek. “For everything.”
Damian remained still as he watched her wave goodbye, walking into the dorm that was her home at Luna Nova.
Covering the smile that arose to his face, Damian could feel the glee swelling inside him as he made his way back home.
-
Marinette couldn’t believe it. She actually kissed him! Sure, it was on the check, but it was still something.
Not being able to contain it any longer, she let out a squeal, now dancing towards her room.
With a hum, Marinette opened up her room and slipped inside, letting out a giggle as she pulled Damian’s sweater close to her face.
“Seems like someone’s date was a success.” A voice spoke, causing Marinette to yelp, feeling her entire face burn in embarrassment.
Turning to her left, oh how she wanted to transform into a mouse to escape the hunter in front of her. Sadly, she used up all her extra batteries on the date.
“A-Alya. Shouldn’t you be-”
“-in detention? Well, let’s just say the added detention is going to be sooo worth it. So come on! Tell me! How’d your date go? And don’t tell me it wasn’t one when he clearly gave you that bracelet on your wrist. We’ve been living together for quite a while -even go shopping with you- and I’ve never seen that bracelet until now.”
Marinette snapped her attention to the newly acquired bracelet, a double black leather bracelet with a single ladybug at its center.
When did he slip it onto her? “So? Spill!”
“Well,” Marinette started. “It was magical!”

Welcome to Maribat
So last night, I was reading a story right and I left a comment but there are still some people who don’t know about the power of the maribat fandom. So imma break it down. (Take just about nothing that could be seen as offensive in this post seriously.)
Hi welcome to maribat, what you preferred Marvel well fuck that, here we’ve got a brooding boy that we’re going to ship with an angel. We make them have uncomfortable or unfortunate meeting that usually go off the rails because of one Lila Rossi, or we make them childhood friends. We made the Lila salt tag great again.
We do amazing month challenges like Jasonette July or Damianette December so yeah you can take your Lukanette and adrienette and get that shit out of here! But hey don’t worry Adrien isn’t useless we either plop him in with Lila in the salt category or we make him gay, gayer than gay, the gayest gay you’ve ever seen and then we ship him with Jon. That’s right we took one of the most unexplained and originless DC characters who doesn’t even show up in T.V. shows until season three of young justice for a micro second and we made him Marinette’s cousin, brother, in some cases BOYFRIEND? or we made him a goofy side character.
You thought we were done? NO! We’re powerful and we never run out of information! We are one of the most powerful ships on Tumblr! So uh yeah, if you ever feel like joining us just put in the tags maribat and we might come and check out your work.

Damianette December Day 10-Freedom
This is another day where the prompt was vaguely followed. I’ll make no apologizes for this.
@daminette-december2019-2020
Alix kept pushing her through the door of her studio. “You’re not allowed back in here until next week,” ok, Marinette could understand that. She had been working almost nonstop for the past 6 days, it was no wonder her friends were forcing her to take a break. “And no superhero work either.” Now that was asking too much.
“Wait. Stop it, Alix! I can’t just abandon my duties as Ladybug. If I see someone in danger I need to help.”
“But you’re running on an average of 2 hours of sleep a night this past month and even Tikki is on my side about this.” Marinette looked at Tikki who was nodding her head.
“For the time being, Alix is going to hold onto my miraculous while you rest. I’m sorry Marinette. Being separated is going to be painful for both of us but, you really need to rest and without the miraculous, you’ll be less tempted to go out on patrol.” There was some truth in what Tikki was saying, not that Marinette would admit it.
“This is a complete betrayal. At least tell me I get to keep my sketchbook?” she pleaded. Without her sketchbook, she might miss moments of inspiration and she couldn’t bear the thought of that.
Alix handed over the book. “You’re only getting this because you would be more stressed without it. Now, leave and do something relaxing for a week. Spend it with Damian or something. Go be around normal people who don’t fight crime in spandex.” she locked the door behind her and faced Marinette. “You know it’s because we care about your health. I promise the rest of the team can handle keeping Paris under control while you’re relaxing. Hawkmoth’s gone, you don’t always have to be fighting.”
Alix left Marinette standing in front of her studio. All of a sudden Marinette had too much time on her hands and no clue what to do. She decided, that if she was going to be forced into this position like this, she might as well take Alix’s suggestion and call Damian.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
He was being forced to take a vacation at the behest of both Alfred and Grayson. According to them he “spent too much time with his weapons,” which was nonsense. How else would he develop his skills except through constant practice?
The entire situation annoyed him beyond belief. They took his weapons away forced him on a plane and made sure he wouldn’t be able to buy a plane ticket back until they felt he had been on break long enough.
The only bright side he could see was that they had sent him to Paris, which would have alleviated his anger if he didn’t know that Marinette was preoccupied with her work for Clara Nightengale. That left him with too much time on his hands to do nothing except sightseeing, the most boring activity he could be expected to participate in.
There was no helping it at that point anymore. Fighting Alfred was a losing battle. After he had checked into a hotel he wandered around the city, bored out of his mind when he was surprised to get a call from Marinette.
“Hey, Damian…” she was silent for a moment. “Uh… how’s you’re day going.” To be honest, until that moment, Marinette hadn’t really thought about whether or not he was even in the city much less free.
“It might be better if Grayson and Alfred hadn’t taken everything from me and forced me on a plane. At least I’m in Paris at the moment, in case you have any free time.”
That was the best news Marinette had heard all week. “Yes! I mean, yes, I have some free time this week. Would you like to meet up at the Champ de Mars, near the pond?” Plans were made and finally, both of them were looking forward to their week off.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Alix got a phone call from a foreign number just as she was entering the Louvre. “Did everything go well on your end?”
“All went according to plan. By now they’re probably meeting up and won’t be thinking about work for the next several weeks.”

😺 Home 😺
Marinette awoke from her slumber in a unfamiliar room. She got up and stretched a bit before observing the room. She saw a note on the bedside table.
Good morning petite coccinelle, I hope you had a good rest. Come on down when you are awake for breakfast.
Your godfather, Alfred
Marinette smiled at the note and stepped out of bed. It was nice to know that someone still accepted her. She owes her godfather everything. She looked around once more and saw an outfit just her size laid out for her on a chair. She quickly put it on and headed towards the stairs near her, surprisingly, she didn't get lost.
When she entered the dining room, she could see the kwamis happily munching away on some food.
"Good morning," she greeted and was answered by those on the table.
"Good morning mon cher," Alfred said as he entered the room, "It looks like the clothes fit nicely."
Marinette gave a small hum of agreement, "Thanks for these, Parrain, can I help with anything?"
"You can help by having breakfast, I do not want you to go on your day with an empty stomach," Alfred answered sitting her down on the big table, "I'll get your food."
"But-" Marinette protested only to realize Alfred was already out of the room.
She sighed and glanced at everyone at the table, "Um... Hi, I'm Marinette. I'm sorry but I don't know who the most of your are."
"Well I'm Dick," a boy said enthusiastically, "Nice to meet you little lady."
"I'm Jason," the one with the white streak of hair said, "The one that looks like he's about to pass out is Tim."
"Damian, Damian Wayne," a the only green eyed person told her.
Damian looked into her eyes and despite them being blue, the same color everyone else in his family had, there was something different about hers. It pulled him in and he didn't know why. He felt his heart flutter when she pouted as Alfred said she couldn't help him, saying something along the lines of, "You just fell from the sky yesterday looking extremely exhausted, there's absolutely no way I'm letting you overwork yourself today."
"We can go around town and have a little tour?" Dick suggested, snapping Damian out of his thoughts, "You three are coming, no excuses. It'll be a great bonding time for all of us!"
Surprisingly, Damian felt like he didn't mind. In fact, he was quite looking forward to spending some time with their guest.

I think this book is officially finished! Yay! Thanks to everyone that read this!

My Warmth Melted Your Heart
Day 14 & 13
@daminette-december2019-2020
Masterlist
In this world, everyone has a little heart that gives the ability to express emotions. Some more than others.
Marinette's heart used to be so bright, joy and happiness radiating of it, but ever since Lila took all her friends away from her, it has dimmed a bit, a couple cracks on their way to healing on the surface. Her eyes are so much wider than they used to be. Her view on the world has changed. While she still has hope for it, she knows that sometimes letting go is something you must do. Holding on too tight sometimes will hurt even more.
Damian's heart has been hurt ever since he was a child. From the everlasting expectations from his grandfather to the lack of love and care from his mother. In the league, their hearts had been hidden from everyone so they wouldn't seem weak. The constant hurt from the figures in his life has broken Damian's heart many-many times that it froze over, saving the last that hasn't been. But because of this, Damian can't express his emotions very much. This is the reason he earned the title "Ice Prince." His heart at age 15, had been frozen for 10 years, expressing no emotions had became a habit.
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
15-years-old
Damian doesn't understand. "I do not need this Grayson," he said to his elder brother. Dick had set Damian up for a pen pal program, and the boy is not amused. "Come on lil' D! You need more friends in your life," the elder boy said. Deep down, Damian knew that having friends would be adequate, fun even, but the bigger part of him wonders who would want to be friends with him? A person with almost zero emotions?
16-years-old
Damian finds himself smiling at the text his pen pal had sent him. It felt weird to him, but it wasn't unwanted. While he doesn't actively wait around for a text from his pen pal, he enjoys reading a text from her. Her name was Marinette. A really bubbly person. She didn't seem offended by his lack of emotions or bluntness. Instead she tries to help him express himself, giving him tips about it. While it is slow, Damian knew he was progressing. His heart had glowed a little brighter, he smiles albeit rarely, but he still does it. Damian would forever deny that he was grateful to his brother.
17-years-old
Damian now would proudly call Marinette his friend. It had came as a complete shock to his family. Jason had asked Damian who he was texting to which Damian answered, "A friend of mine." Jason had stared, Tim rubbed his eyes repeatedly, Dick squealed, and Bruce, well he just went absolutely rigid at the word friend. The boy's father had asked again and again to Alfred if he had heard that right, to which Alfred answered everytime and lastly, "Master Bruce please do stop stating the obvious, it is not a good look on you." He stopped after that but he couldn't help the feeling of pride at his son.
18-years-old
Today was Damian's birthday, and for the first time in years, he smiled all day long. The Justice League had froze when the youngest Robin smiled, asking Batman again and again what had happened to his son. Their questions had only increased when he answered a single phone call. Only to these questions, not even his family could answer.
"Thank you, beloved."
For the first time in his life, his heart came flying out, not a single piece of ice in sight and completely healed. After all, an angel's heart had came radiating heat melting his heart.

Again, written last minute, sorry.

Feeling Trapped and Gaining Freedom
Day 10, 12, & 13
@daminette-december2019-2020
Masterlist
Contains bad parents Tom and Sabine.
Trapped. Damian felt trapped. He had been benched and grounded  yet again from patrol because he apparently killed someone. But he didn't, he really didn't. The man had chosen to stab himself with his fallen sword, and yet when he told the rest of the family, they didn't believe. Disbelief and shame written clearly on their faces. It hurt if he was being honest. Even after living together for five years they still doubted him. Trapped, he wasn't given a choice but to obey. He never told anyone, but he could feel the family growing on him. The fact that they didn't believe him hurts more than he would like to admit. So he did it. One thing that he had never thought he would be doing. He devised a plan and packed a bags.
He left the place that was just beginning to feel like home.
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
Trapped. Marinette felt trapped. She closed her eyes as she replayed the insults that had been thrown her way in her head. She ignored Tikki's concerned glances. She ignored her parents' shouts and degrading. Marinette thought about what she did wrong, she must've done something that caused everyone to turn on her so easily. She closed her eyes and looked at the ring on her finger. The cat miraculous. What did she do that made her partner join sides with Hawkmoth? Is she in the wrong for all that has happened to her? She must've done something. But what? She unconsciously walked to the miracle box and took her earrings and her ring off, placing them in their respective places along with the brooches that had been lost and dropped off on her balcony. She did the one thing that she has been planning all week. She put the miracle box in her bag, leapt of her balcony, and called for a portal.
She left the place that hadn't felt like home in a long time.
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
They both ended up in New York. Wandering on the streets, with nowhere to go. Fate had decided that they should meet. They got to know each other and decided to go through this together. Marinette eventually told Damian of all her secrets and as did he. With luck, an old couple found both and decided to house them. Marinette recognize her. It was Marianne Lenoir and her old mentor, Wang Fu. They felt guilty for using them like this, so as a repayment for their hospitality, they started a small business which was soon to be growing.
Soon enough, news reached that people were looking for them. They hid and only two years later did the search die down. By that time, feelings had sprouted between the both of them. They started dating and eventually Damian proposed. Albeit young, they knew they would not spend time with anyone else. She is his ladybug and he is her black cat, or soulmates as the kwamies would say. They were wedded by Marianne who told them to not ask questions.
They didn't expect to receive and invitation by the one and only Bruce Wayne and Timothy Drake.
'Dear Mr. D and Mrs. M of the Boutique D'oiseaux et De Coccinelles' it read, their known aliases written. 'You are invited to this years Wayne New Year's Charity Masquerade' continued by the time, date, place and the signatures of both CEOs. They thought about it. Marinette knew Damian missed his family even though he wouldn't admit it.
"It's a masquerade Dames," Marinette said to him, "If you don't want to then don't go, but if you do no one would know." "And if they find out?" Damian reasoned, "I just can't go back becoming a boy that is expected to do everything right." "Dove, look at me," she said, "Even if they did, you are a legal adult, they can't do anything about that."
They both pondered on the thought.
Should they go? Should they not?
656 words
To be continued by the 31st prompt. So... Technically this is prompt 10 (Freedom), 12 (Soulmate AU), & 13 (Trapped).

Damianette December Day 2- Swordplay
I’ll apologize in advance for the duel scene. I’m mostly just taking a stab in the dark when it comes to writing action, in particular fight scenes, but at least I try.
@daminette-december2019-2020 “Are you really okay with teaching me Kagami?”
“Of course Marinette. I would not offer my help half-heartedly only to change my mind at the last moment. Besides, you are determined to learn and already naturally talented at fencing, it would a shame if you did not learn.”
The two girls faced each other, each with a rapier in their hands. The park was oddly quiet despite the perfect day. And it was the day Marinette was finally going to learn to fence. Swordsmanship wouldn’t be much help with her yo-yo, but if she ever became Lady Noire again, she wanted to be prepared.
“We’ll start with the first position, en garde.” Marinette mirrored Kagami’s position as best as she could. “Not too bad, but you’ll want to angle your back foot at a bit more until it’s at a 90° angle from the front foot, Make sure your weight is balanced.” Marinette shifted to correct her position. “Yes, that’s satisfactory. Adrien has already told me from your first match with him that you’re footwork is already very good, so we will start with parrying. I’ll attack first.”
And so they spent the next couple of hours practicing in the park. Obviously, Kagami won most of the matches but, Marinette managed to get a few lucky points in, surprising the Olympic fencer.
It just so happened as they were practicing however that someone who knew Marinette recognized the pair and made their way over.
“Hey Pixie, what’re you doing here?” The voice stopped Marinette during the match, letting Kagami get the point.
“Jason! Why are you in Paris? It’s good to see you again!” It was the first time she had seen him ever since they first met almost a year ago. “You said you had to head back to Gotham to take care of some family business. Did you finish?”
“Uh… yeah. In fact, I’m in Paris for some more business, this time with the rest of my family.” He looked at the foils that each girl was holding. “Are you a fencer? Is that what you’re doing out here?”
She was a bit embarrassed at being called a fencer, she could hardly say she had enough experience to be called a fencer. “Actually, I’m just a beginner. My friend, Kagami, is teaching me. Oh right, I didn’t introduce you too. Jason, this is Kagami Tsurugi,” she pulled the girl forward. “And Kagami this is Jason. He came by the bakery a lot when he was staying in Paris back in October last year. He managed to help out a bit with some of the more rude customers when my mom was out of the shop.”
“A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Jason.” Kagami turned to Marinette. “Would you like to stop here for today, we’ve already been at it for some time.”
“Sure, we can get some orange juice from the bakery after we pack up too.” Except before they could start packing up, Jason stopped them.
“Actually, before you leave, would you be interested in helping me take one of my brothers down a peg?”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
About a week later they met back up in the park. This time, Adrien joined Marinette and Kagami and Jason brought along someone who could only be his brother. He was about their age although he seemed more serious than any high school student should ever look.
Apparently, he was also very good at every style of swordsmanship, including fencing. Which is why Jason dragged Marinette into this. He wanted them to fight and, assuming she won, would ‘humble’ his brother. At first, she didn’t want to participate in the whole debacle but, Jason did make it seem like his brother, Damian was really rude to everyone else in their family because of some superiority complex and she really hated people who looked down on others.
Of course, this plan would only work if she could beat him in a fencing duel, and she doubted that that would happen anyway. Jason said he saw a bit of her practice match with Kagami and that if she really was a beginner, she was naturally talented (She wouldn’t tell him that it was really her miraculous giving her a cheat ability.
Although the only reason she was chosen for this role instead of Kagami was that Kagami was too recognizable as a famous fencer. Marinette’s advantage would be her natural reflexes that have been honed by her superhero duties, the stupid amount of luck she gained from wielding the ladybug miraculous, and the fact that her opponent was bound to underestimate her capabilities.
So, here they were, taking a part in Jason’s plan. His utterly ridiculous plan, as Chloe would say. Without a word, Marinette took up a position on one side her lack of enthusiasm showing. On the other side, Damian, clearly annoyed and unwilling to be there, took up a position at the other side facing her.
“Let’s get this over with quickly. I don’t know why I have to duel an amateur like you but, I’ll make sure to take it easy so as not to completely crush your pride.” Those were the first words he spoke to her. And while she agreed that he would probably win, his attitude was more than a little infuriating.
“Bold words for someone who hasn’t won yet.” She raised an eyebrow at him, thinking about the way Kagami might act in the same situation. Suddenly, her determination to win was surging. He looked back at her a bit stunned at the change in her demeanor. But, he still held confidence in his ability to win. So, when Kagami calls en garde, he was not entirely prepared for her attack.
She wasn’t going to wait for him to take the right of way, so she lunged at him with the foil. Taken aback by her sudden move forward, he parried her foil just in time and moved to riposte, unfortunately for him, she was too quick, and she managed to disengage before he could scour a point. Recovering back to the en garde position, she back down a bit to see what he would do next.
Damian took the opportunity to also recover back to the en garde position and analyze the situation. Marinette was fast, faster than one would normally expect from a beginner, implying previous experience with fighting but, that could be any number of things. She could gain quick reflexes from learning any number of martial arts or sports. He would either have to be faster than her or catch her off guard.
He feinted to her right before going to attack her left side, yet it didn’t work. She didn’t fall for the feint and when he made his move against her, she was ready to parry. Deflecting the blade, she advanced forward, and, attacking from the slight angle below that her short stature afforded her, she came from under his blade and jabbed him with the point of the foil, ending the match.
If Jason’s plan was to embarrass him, he managed to fail. Rather than embarrassed, Damian was in awe that this petite girl actually managed to beat him at a match. He acknowledged that if she had fallen for the feint then she wouldn’t have been able to block his attack and then he would have won the advantage but, either she was incredibly lucky or incredibly skilled at managing to see through the feint.
He just stood there for a while, making Marinette concerned that he may be in too much shock. “Are you alright, Damian?” she waved a hand in front of his face. He blinked in response finally showing some emotion.
Except he still seemed out of it. He was mumbling to himself but it was loud enough that Marinette was still able to hear it and blush at what he said. “I think I’m in love.”
Jason started laughing out loud when he saw Marinette’s face go up in flames. He had a fairly good idea of what Damian had said if she was reacting like that. And so did Adrien.
Adrien made his way up to them and, leaning against Marinette’s shoulder, spoke to Damian. “She’s free tomorrow at 12. She’ll meet you near the Canal Saint-Martin. Make sure you be there or you’ll have half of Paris ready to hunt you down.”
“Adrien!” she whacked his side in annoyance. “Don’t just make plans for me.” His only response was to raise an eyebrow at her and she admitted defeat. “Well… thank you anyway, I’d probably be stumbling over my words for the next three months otherwise.” she turned to talk to Damian who was still a bit shocked over everything happening.
“If you’d like, we can hang out tomorrow. We didn’t really start with the best impression of each other but, first impressions can be misleading, right Adrien? Kagami?” she nudged his side and then looked at the girl who seemed like an ice queen but was really sweet. “I’d love to get to know you better while you’re staying in Paris. What do you say?”
He finally managed to understand what was going on and, to say he was out of his depth was an understatement, but he knew his decision immediately. “I would love to accompany you tomorrow. It’s a date?”
She smiled at him. “Yeah, it’s a date.”

My Betrothed Got De-Aged!
Day 17 & 20
@daminette-december2019-2020
Masterlist
The bright light in the room died down leaving a young girl wearing a ladybug theme spandex suit behind. Robin stared in horror as he saw her. There she was his beloved, his betrothed, as a 5 year old girl. Seeing that the rogue was not around, he decided to take a closer look. She was sleeping All of a sudden he was back in the League of Shadows, training with his mother, looking up to his grandfather, and presenting his superiority for the betrothal ceremony. He remembers the ceremony like it was yesterday. He remembers hot iron placed on their wrists leaving identical permanent marks. He remembers being forced to drink the liquid of the lazarus pits right after.
"Robin! Robin! You there?" Batman's voices over the communicator. "I'm here," he replied. "What happened? Your mind doesn't usually wander off that easily," concern could be heard, barely, but heard in his tone. "I'm alright," Robin started, "but Ladybird looks like she got-" He stopped, unsure how to proceed. "Little wing? Hello? You still there Robin?" Nightwing called to him snapping him out of his thoughts once more, "What happened to Ladybird?" "She got de-aged to a 5 year old and asleep," Robin finally told him. "Pixie got WHAT!" Red Hood screamed. "And how are you sure she is 5 years old?" Oracle and Red Robin asked at the same time.
"Tt, we grew up together. I know how she looked like when we were five-," Robin suddenly stopped realizing his mistake. They don't know about that yet. There was silence on the comms after he gave them that new information. "We will talk about this later, for now bring Ladybird back to the cave," Batman ordered. Robin didn't hesitate and carried her back being careful so he doesn't drop nor wake her. Once he reached the cave, he put her on the med bay bed. He turned around and saw his father staring into him, "Explain." He just sighed and sat next to Ladybird, "Marinette is the heiress to the sister order of the league, the Order of the Guardians. They were like the league, but was always against killing." He stopped for a moment before continuing.
"One day an accident happened, the order was in shambles. Grandfather's brother, Wang Fu, asked for sanctuary along with his seven months pregnant daughter, Sabine Fu. Grandfather did just that but with the cost that if the baby was a girl, we would be betrothed at the age of five. That is just what happened. When Deathstroke attacked, she was sent away to Paris with her mother, grandfather, and newfound stepfather Tom Dupain. As fate had it, we met again when she won your scholarship," Damian was so soft when explaining their past that the boys had to make sure they weren't sleeping.
Bruce took of his cowl and sat next to Damian, "Why didn't you tell us?" "I-," a sob stopped him, "I was afraid you'd take her away from me again. The way we met may not have been fortunate, but-" He paused, but what? "But you can't imagine your life without her anymore, you love her," Bruce tried to complete his sentence as Alfred ushered everyone else out of the room. "Damian, look at me," Bruce said at him but he refused to meet his eyes. "Son, look at me, please," Bruce tried again tilting Damian head up and he finally met his eyes. "I would never do that," he said, "You have been happier than I have ever seen you since she arrived. I might be terrible at emotions, but I know how it feels to have someone you love taken away from you. I would never do that to you." With that the dam broke, tears falling from Damian's face as he hugged his father.
"Thank you dad."
639 words I know it isn't Daminette centric but... it's still cute right? Hope you guys don't mind. Did I pull your heartstrings?

A Cat's Falling From the Sky?!
Day 15 & 27
@daminette-december2019-2020
Masterlist
Warning, contains bad parents Tom and Sabine
Loss, Failure, and falling were all that was in Marinette's thoughts. Loss, she had to count her losses all because no one believed her. Because she wasn't good enough. Failure, she had failed to show people the truth because she was blind. Because she was naive. And falling, she was falling, both literally and figuratively. Figuratively because she was losing a battle inside her. A battle whether she was worthy of the miraculous or not. Literally, because she was falling. Using the cat miraculous, she had asked Kaalki to take her away. Away from the pain, the hurt the constant abuse. She didn't expect to fall from the sky as she walked into the portal. She was really tired, she had just finished the final battle, switching between both creation and destruction miraculous.
She felt her consciousness slip from her and her life flashes before her eyes. 'At least I did good with my life', she thought bitterly. She tried to reach for the baton on her back but she was simply worn out. She figured it was best to at least try to brace herself for impact before she passed out. But instead of hitting the ground, she felt herself getting caught by a strong pair of arms and heard a small whisper, but she couldn't make out just what. She drifted off unconscious soon after.
The patrol was easy tonight. A few muggings here and there but it was handled quickly. Damian thought the night would end like this, peaceful. That is until Red Hood said something through the comms. "Yo, B?" the anti-hero said, "There's a cat falling from the sky, a person. It's a person. Looks like she's already only half conscious." "Catch her, then we can question her in the cave.
Red Hood rushed over to and caught the girl, "You alright Ms?" She was already unconscious. Red Hood carried her to the cave but he was quite surprised by how light she is. When he reached the cave the others were already waiting and her earrings started beeping apparently. He walked to the med bay and laid the girl down. The beeping quickened and soon green light envelopes the girl leaving just a normal girl lying on the bed. Alfred however, thought otherwise. When the light had taken over her body, Alfred had came to the conclusion that the girl wore the black cat miraculi which means the girl wields great power. Nothing however could prepare him to see who exactly was this girl.
Alfred couldn't mask his shock, it was his beloved goddaughter. Marinette now 17 years old was laying on the on the med bay bed. "Alfred?" Bruce's voice snapped him out of his shocked state, "Anything a problem?" "None Master Bruce," he answered, "I just wasn't expecting my goddaughter to be someone chosen to wield a miraculi nor that she would fall from the sky." Alfred started to check her pulse and breathing as Bruce along with the boys, excluding Dick who was fangirling and Damian who was still changing, stood frozen at his answer.
"You never told us you had a goddaughter," Bruce finally said. "I didn't see the need to, Master Bruce," Alfred stated simply and watched as Marinette's eyes started to flutter. He put his hand over hers as her eyes opened. "Parrain?" she slurred a bit. "Oui mon cher," he replied before giving the girl a hug. "What happened?" she asked switching to English.
"You fell from the sky apparently," Tim answered. "Oh," she said, "Kaalki? How did the portal end up in the sky?" A horselike creature came out and said, "It looks like I got the coordinates wrong guardian, I'm sorry," the kwami said. "It's alright Kaalki," she put her hands out for her, "We were all tired yesterday." "To the brink of exhaustion actually," Alfred said, "Your muscles are really weak." "I'm fine," she said but the yawn that escaped betrayed her. At that moment Damian had entered and saw her. The girl's hair was disheveled but that had somehow made Damian blush. "You can stay here for the time being," Bruce said. "Don't you go adopting her, Bruce," Dick said, "We all know your little adoption problem." The group laughed and Damian frowned at the thought of having her as a sister.
"I wouldn't want to impose, Monsieur..." she paused, "I'm sorry but it seems I have forgotten to ask for your name, I'm Marinette, Marinette Dupain-Cheng." She stuck her hand out to shake his. "Bruce Wayne, but please call me Bruce." The girl nodded but before she could continue her previous sentence Alfred cut her off, "Marinette, I know you came here via miraculi and as much as I'd love to have you here, I must ask won't your parents notice?"
"They won't," she replied sadly, "They kicked me out, Parrain." Tears were forming in her eyes as she remembered how her parents had believed Lila instead of her. "Ok then, Master Bruce?" Alfred turned to face him, "Would you mind keeping her company?" Bruce nodded and Alfred walked out the door with the boys behind. Damian could only hope his father doesn't adopt the girl. 'I want her to join the family another way.'

Ckfkwpqlqndlwmskandie, I'm so so sorry, my parents surprised me that we were going out for the day and couldn't get connected to the Internet. And I know I haven't posted' The School's Anti-Hero' because I apparently forgot to write down the draft and my stupid brain forgot what it was. I may do a part 2 of this.
XOXO
