Van der Linde Isaac - "CoS is actually a western" is such a concept ever since i saw somebody pointing that out i kept thinking about it

i rant about the redesign a bit:

so i went ahead and redesigned him to fit the rdr2 setting entirely, i cant give him a full on wolf arm, so i gave him burn scars on his face, that he hides all the time with a scarf or a bandana. hat in the back to replace the hoodie's shape. he is most comfortable using the rolling block rifle plus a knife. he would probably play a lot of five finger fillet.

plus, he gets his arm blown off at one point (not from finger fillet!! i swear), probably during the saint denis robbery, then dies during the guarma chapter, bc there is no way he would survive longer than that

also i cant have him choose sides at chapter 6 when i know he has blind loyalty

purgatory one was such an irl fever dream

No One Made It Out Unscathed.

everyone on every day at the exact second the server opens, weekly or monthly streamers suddenly becoming daily streamers, chill players suddenly calculating out which food gives the best saturation or how to get 0.1% of a point better on missions, Tubbo having actual nightmares, Cellbit's voice that wasn't great at the start taking even more of a beating due to constant screaming, Roier fully losing his shit a week and a half in - leading to a completely player-driven reset of how the xp and enchantment systems were being utilised (Because Everyone Was Fucking Miserable), the point where the gay ninjas had been eliminated but not told what would happen to them so everyone was like really weirdly intensely stressed out for about 14 hours, Tubbo just being too actually psyched out to beat Phil in the 1v1, how REAL the emotions were from the creators when they finally saw their kids again and THEN THE ROOF STARTED TO CAVE IN, loads of creators just taking a full break from the server when the nuke went off with a bunch of them not returning for MONTHS, the creators later being asked if they want to join purgatory two and many being like "lmao, no ❤️" and two characters (very much main characters in terms of lore) straight up canonically dying in the nuke blast

and there was just... a vibe to it. our eggs will die if we lose. if we're not being lied to AND if we're not the cursed team. how do we know who's the cursed team? should we lose on purpose if we're not? we're obviously the cursed team (EVERY TEAM SAID THIS).

and the chatters didn't escape the psychological torture this event organically produced. our children have been missing for months at this point and it almost doesn't matter who wins because everyone is at the end of their tether and absolutely every egg could theoretically die.

naurrr tell me why do i fully believe the bread thing with the priest can actually happen 💀 i can exactly imagine a pompous, self-important priest doing that. also might be a weird question to ask so feel free to ignore, but what Christian Denomination were you raised in? i'm not familiar with what's popular in america and even if i was, i'm sure american christian culture is different from mine's

there are certainly missionaries with good intentions at heart, but i've witnessed some of the wildest conversations about 'serving the least of these' where some deborah or another thinks herself a saint for going to mexico for a day or something. they don't come outright and say it but you pick up the vibe.

i grew up in a baptist church but after some drama with said church (no one ever told me what the drama was, much to my chagrin), i got booted over to nondenominational which is basically the same thing but the pastor wears skinny jeans and can make slightly frisky jokes about his wife now.

some fun facts about little lock's misadventures:

i tried swimming around when i got baptized but the pastor wouldn't let me go too far

my dad wouldn't give me a dollar to buy a muffin once at the church café so i prayed that i'd pass out from hunger so he'd feel bad

i thought my intellectual prowess above the unsophisticated veggie tale-esque lessons in the kid's wing (the place where parents stuff their children during the service if anyone is unfamiliar with the term). i petitioned my parents to go to the regular service instead so i could learn real theology. the sermons were so boring though that i'd fall asleep during each one

i apparently flipped the pastor off as a baby. no clue why

i got in trouble for asking jesus for a pet pig on a prayer request card. to this day i think i should have my records expunged for this non crime

#to this day one of the worst experiences of my life was a group trip to tennessee #in retrospect i find it hilarious but at the time it was so cursed #a kid got bit by a poisonous snake but he was being awful to a special needs kid so the snake kinda popped off ngl #lock lore #answered #Anonymous

- pete hates his horns with a passion. steph thinks theyre kind of cute when he doesnt try to shave them off or rip them out. pete would rip them out if he was sure they didnt connect to his brain like some goat horns do

- similarly, grace adores her eyes/newfound sight 99% of the time. until The Horrors. she cant bring herself to go back to camp idonwannabang.. or look the jerries in the eye

- ted has full custody over pete and acts as a pseudo parent. hes a solid 15 years older, and generally acts like a teen boy with pete. silly goofy guy who has some issues hes not ready to face and a tendancy to drink !

- jenny... is there. somehow. she misses ted a lot and genuinely wants to come back to hatchetfield for him. she just... can't

- steph and nibbly have a weirdly tight knit relationship. treats her like a lapdog. think a maltese with dyed-pink fur and you have steph

- grace is blinkys coworker. she has half as many eyes as him. blinky has 999 eyes. grace has 499.5. one of her eyes is mostly blind, but not entirely. she doesnt know this number

- richie and ruth Are There. so is max. none of our three know this. webby knows. wiggly and pokey know. they're the only ones. not even they themselves know that theyre still there. they lie dormant for now

- hannah, daniel and sophia are attached at the hip. the only reason sophia hasnt shown up yet is because shes rich and homeschooled. they see eachother more than their families. sophia and daniel are hannahs only outlet for webby, now, and theyre both quite familiar with her

- daniel can hold his breath for 10 minutes on average. hannah is the only one who can time him. this can get complicated when holding your breath stops time

- webby is trying desperately to reach lex constantly. lex is doing her best to ignore her, but its getting harder. webby needs something from her.

- grace has watched richies funeral 376 times. she's counted. she can recite to you exactly what each person says and does

- paul is having some trouble with his hearing after richies death. he wasn't that close with his nephew, but the loss is still hitting him. he can only hope its shock. something tells him its not.

- emma is also having trouble with her hearing. she has not told paul, and she will not tell paul. she will not be losing her hearing like her sister. even if it doesnt feel like thats the cause of it, she won't.

- speaking of, i made jane hard of hearing. i dont know why exactly it fits her in my mind, but it does. her and her family are mostly fluent or entirely fluent in american sign language, as is emma. she wears hearing aids

- the three learn sign language. from who? stay tuned and put your guesses down below ‼️

- alice has had vision problems since she moved to clivesdale a few years back. her vision was always bad growing up, and now its... perfect. shes having trouble keeping up the lie to everyone.

- bill and alice really do love eachother i swear. but she doesnt like him much. theyre trying. deb is too. they really are.

- jenny doesn't like the color yellow. she never has. teddy used to. she's not sure if he still would. it makes her head hurt to look at.

- pete hates pants. pete only owns pants. his basketball shorts are actually a pair of stephs, that used to be maxs.

- max is scared of the dark. this was a closely held secret in life. steph finds herself turning a nightlight on for him without thinking about it.

- max didn't have a funeral. his body wasn't buried- instead kept as evidence then tossed out when nobody came to collect it. jason, kyle, stacy and brenda had a small service for him by the lake when they were told he'd been murdered. jason was the only non-cop to see maxs' body after he was dismembered and left at the waylon place

- grace spends more time at the waylon place than she does at home. she finds a strange comfort in it now that it's completely off the market.

- the many quick-succession deaths put the waylon place and its haunting back into the forefront of peoples minds. the town is collectively afraid of it again.

- max is scared of the dark. the black is a very dark place. richie and ruth have yet to encounter the problem of darkness. in fact, ruth has been having some trouble with seeing past the stagelights in front of her

- ruth and richie have their own personalized rooms. a stage/large theatre, and a cozy little room with a fridge and a large tv. max does not get as pleasant of an afterlife as this.

- jerry grew up vegan. he's not sure what his parents would say about his diet.

#witch hat atelier #ok so like the lore #meena is an orphan and has kinda poor social skills so she has no friends and the teacher at her atelier is also .. not good and very cold #so she’s been alone all her life #until one day an unknowing stumbles across her casting magic and meena gets seen which is ofc illegal #but that girl was so happy and amazed by the casting of magic meena felt .. curious and intrigued? she’s never met someone so amazed by #magic #and the two slowly become friends #until one day they get discovered by the knights and the girl has all her memories of meena and magic erased #meena is once again alone #i’m also thinking maybe as punishment meena gets cursed somehow such that anyone who meets her will instantly forget her existence within a #few hours 🤔#hence she is the forget-me-not witch #but i’m not sure how the curse would get written in because only a brimhat would be able to do that i assume and idk how they would get #involved #maybe they pretend to be the knights and curse meena hoping that she grows a hatred of legal magic ?

Thinking about Yelan and her (headcanon) undiagnosed ASPD. In a world that probably doesn't have any good frameworks for that—let alone support groups or role models—and just understands it as "heartless reckless thrill seeker".

Like let's be real the Fatui and Treasure Hoarders and Abyss all probably call her "psychopath" to her face. For all we know that's the technical term for it in Teyvat. :S

Her Vision story makes it so clear she sees herself as Other, that even her fallen colleagues were "ordinary people" she shouldn't have allowed to be swept up into her world, that maybe at a stretch she thinks Ningguang understands her but even then hmm maybe.

And so we have this poor woman going around accepting being near-universally feared/detested as a fact of life, experiencing the world mostly through the most dopamine-rich emotions and...

...okay look the more I think about it the more I love both the [friend]ships of her with Yanfei and Shenhe.
