Victoria Chase x Reader
Summary: It’s about time Victoria was put in her place for all the shit she gives Max.
Warnings: Swearing as per usual, poor Max being verbally violated
"Thanks, Dana. I owe you one." I thank Dana as she passes me the notes from our previous lesson. She smiles and closes her door, the music seeping through the dorm now a boxed-off muffled noise.
I drop the notes off in my room and head out of the building, I almost tread on the two students sitting on the stairs. Those couple of students I recognise as Courtney and Taylor. I look up, and expectedly I see Victoria... my girlfriend.
"Max Caufield, selfie hoe of Blackwell." The blonde spits, slowly stalking around the small photographer.
"You got me Victoria," Max replies dryly.
"Hm, what style have you gone for today?" She steps back pretending to examine Max's clothes, "Oh, how unique! Sad hobo had sex with a charity shop hippie. It really makes a statement. 'Look at me, shy little sad face, I wear clothes so basic it makes that whore Dana and her nosy camel-looking friend look good.'" She smirks, but as she turns around she can tell her fun is over.
My heart went out to Max, I don't know why Vic dislikes her so much. Although I'm not sure what Vic has against everybody as a whole, she still treats them like rabid rodents.
I let my unimpressed gaze burn into Vic's head. "Vic, can I talk to you real quick?"
"Sorry, Y/n. I'm not done yet with Max here." She returns to her usual facade, her stare facing Max for a short moment.
I sigh and roll my eyes at the girl before taking her arm and pulling her aside, giving Max enough time to get to the dorms.
"Hey, babe." Victoria leans in for a kiss to subside the matter at hand.
I place my finger on her lips, an embarrassed expression now planted on her face, "What was that all about?"
"What do you mean?"
"You're bullying Max."
"What?! I'm not bullying Max, I'm bullying a bitch. Totally different. I'm not bullying a shy, little girl. You know Max isn't even a bitch. She's just shy and doesn't know how to handle herself, and it's so fucking annoying."
"But she's just a girl, and you're bullying her. I can't stand it when you bully people over such little shit."
"I didn't do anything."
"You called her a selfie hoe." I point out blandly.
"She takes selfies, isn't that a little understandable why I called her that?"
"You also insulted her clothes."
Victoria drops her head as if I just said the most stupid thing ever, "Yeah, and?"
"It's all a little much."
"Nobody, nobody cares. And if you were being a really good girlfriend, you would..." She leans in close to me, whispering, "You would make me feel better. You would turn it around in my favour. Make me the innocent victim."
"I'm sorry, Vic, but I can't do that."
"Why not?"
"Because that wouldn't be right."
"God, you're such a goody-two-shoes. You always have to be right. It always has to be your way." I'm taken aback by her words, but I'm used to her little tantrums, at this point.
Victoria looks disappointed, "God, you ruined the moment, Y/n."
"What? The moment of you trying to escape your own shit? I want you to apologise to Max. Today. Within the next hour would be good, actually."
"No fucking way! Why should I apologise to fucking sad face, she's dealt with it before and she'll do it again." She huffs.
"Come on Vic, think of it as a soul-cleaning exercise. You could do with that."
"What's that meant to mean?" She snaps
"Never mind." I sigh, "I'll even walk you up to her room and knock on her door if you're too much of a pussy." I tease.
"You little..." Victoria pushes me, and I can tell she's about to lose her temper.
"Hey, hey, hey!" I quickly grab her wrists, pulling her back to me. I lift her arms until her hands rest on my shoulders, and I lean in towards her. She snarls, but I smile. "Vic, please?"
"Fine, fine. You know how fucking special you are?" She kisses me. I smile and relax my arms.
"What was that?" I ask as she pulls away.
"Ugh, God!." Vic smiles. I smile back and give her a peck on the lips.
"Now can we go say sorry to Max?"
She sighs, "Yeah, sure."
I walk Victoria over to Max's room and knock on the door.
"Max?" Victoria's voice is a little shaky, I guess she's nervous.
"It's open." Max sighs.
I stand to the side out of view while Victoria opens Max's door.
"Oh my God, it's a fucking mess in here, how do you liv-" I jab the blonde in the ribs, signalling for her to shut up.
"What do you want, Victoria?"
"I'm here to say sorry." She admits awkwardly.
"And why should I believe that?" Max sounds unsure.
"Because my girlfriend told me-" Before I get the chance to nudge her in the ribs again she changes the route of her sentence, "Because... I realised how mean I've been to you for no reason."
"Oh, okay."
"I shouldn't have called you a selfie hoe, earlier. It was mean of me. I'm sorry."
"It's fine, Victoria, really."
"And the whole thing about your clothes, I can help you find better ones if you like?" Victoria glances over at me to make sure she was doing a good job, I simply respond with a 50/50 reaction.
"Thank you for the offer Vic, and the apology." Max half-smiles while flicking through the numerous photos she must've taken today.
"Yeah, well don't expect another. I'm not your fucking friend." She bites, too uncomfortable in the situation.
I jab her in the ribs again. "AH! Fucking stop it!" She exclaims, catching Max's attention.
"Y/n?" She calls.
I remain silent, in hope she'll believe I was never here.
"Oh my God, Y/n. She knows you're here." Vic rolls her eyes.
I peek around the door frame, "Hey Max, I was just walking past and woah! I never thought I'd see this combo!" I lie.
"She's not stupid." Vic snarls trying to hold back a small smile.
"Aw thank you, Vicky." Max teases, gaining a scoff from the blonde.
I take a seat on Max's small sofa, facing the girl sitting at her desk, "Okay, I think the only way to resolve this is..." I look over to Victoria who stood tall by the door. ", to hug it out."
If looks could kill, I'd be on the floor. Victoria has never looked at me more angrily. "I'm okay thank you." She attempts to decline politely but it comes out bitter.
Max returns to looking at her photos, "Okay, not a good idea." I realise.
"How about a photo!" I cheer.
I tug on Victoria's arm until she's next to Max, I snatch Max's camera from her desk.
"Okay, say friends for life!" I tease, neither of the two smiling nor wanting to be there.
Once I snap the shit, the small piece of paper exits the chunky camera, I take it and wave it about for a couple of seconds.
The photo finally develops and it... wasn't the worst. At least Victoria made herself look presentable and Max didn't seem to 'sad face'.
"Let me see it." Victoria orders.
I hand her the paper and she scans it, "Fuck, I look good considering... the circumstances." She mumbles passing it to Max.
"Thank you, Y/n." She smiles as I take Vic's hand and lead the both of us out the door.
"Say bye Max." I tease the blonde to my left.
"Bye Max." She grumbles.
"Bye Max" I giggle, walking towards Vic's room.
"I fucking hate you." She states, attempting to hold back a grin.
"I love you too." I smile, pulling her into a kiss.
"Not as much as I love you." She mumbles against my lips.
We pull apart and I look into her eyes, "I think you need to work on your apologies."
"Ugh, whatever. At least it's over and done with now." She sighs, "And stop staring."
"Sorry, you're just... cute. And I like looking at you." She smiles, and we make our way into her room.
"Anyway, we both know I didn't mean that the apology if you could even call it that." She huffs
"God Vic, sometimes, you can be such a child."
"Well, you're not exactly an adult yourself, fucking asshole."
