Okay, finally back...! I'm home and everything, but it took a LONG, long time to actually get to a position where I can post again, SHEESH...you have no idea what happened. This one's a long one, so I'm putting it under a cut. Jayden, Guy, Gen, I mentioned you here, so please look under there for where that mention is.
(OOC) Back to business as usual, hopefully...! Pelipper Mail is back on and everything is available. Sorry for vanishing for so long!
So after flying back from Mistralton City, work IMMEDIATELY came breathing down my neck because of how I ended up leaving out of nowhere. Which, you know, the league couldn't BLAME me, but still, what I did was...extremely reckless. And really bad for planning around shit.
BUT! But. Nothing happened in my absence. Nothing fucking happened until WE GOT COMPLAINTS FROM THE POWER PLANT. So all of us had to gear up and set out in case Zapdos was acting up, and then it turns out...Voltorb. Lots of Voltorb. So many Voltorb. And ONE. ELECTRODE.
And then there was this guy who talked about how we managed to beat them--because we DID, we just had to fight the Electrode because they were an honorable sort--and some guy was like, "oh man, we really just got bailed out by some guy with three fingers", which, first of all, rude, second of all, what does that matter? I was gonna brush it aside, but then Shia took extreme offense to that on my behalf, and she launched into this whole tirade against the guy...
All of that and a few days' worth of travel (we really didn't wanna fly again and the Magnet Train was down), and we get back to Ecruteak City...only to find out that the multiverse internet we were using COMPLETELY GLITCHED and kicked us off for a while! What the HECK. Pallas had to work at this for WEEKS to get us back, cross-referencing Persephone and trying to get us back online...and now, we're BACK. I missed a LOT, I think.
The Pelipper Mail packages that were being held for us got here just fine, thank goodness...thank you so much, @thatoneguy031, @jayden-the-popplio, your gifts got here just fine (Guy's was very helpful for me, and Pallas loves Jayden's), and everyone else I couldn't say things to over Delibird day, I'm sorry we couldn't talk more! Apologies to Jayden especially...we were trying to discuss something and that's more or less when the internet died.
And @goldenrodchef! I'm okay and all. Didn't mean to make you and the other eebies worry about me when things went silent. I'll be trying to hop on the groupchat with some decent regularity soon, Pallas says it should work fine.
Here's hoping everything continues to work for the foreseeable future!

... feels weird to be asking this, but so long as the person I'm asking about is currently not able to look at rotomblr...
There's a friend of mine in my world who's basically been chosen by a legendary in another region, and as far as I can tell, that legendary is pretty chill and honestly just wants to hang out every now and again. Problem is, my friend hasn't realized that said legendary Pokemon is kind of a godlike being, and they're kind of inherently very much not a fan of godlike beings for reasons I won't get into (not that I could even begin to explain it as well as they could...).
I've been trying to figure out how to break the news to them that their legendary is divine, and then convince them that said legendary isn't someone to be afraid of, but I have no fucking clue how to go about it.
Any chance you guys can help...?

I wanna help people more often.
I wanna be able to give people who just got eeby'd a hug and stuff.
I wanna point Fallers in the right direction and help them...well, find their way, even if that way isn't back home.
I wanna stand up for the hybrids, the eebies, the reverse eebies, the normal-ass Pokemon that are smart enough to use this site.
I wanna stand up to the people who would hurt them. Who would hurt others. Who would end up being dangerous if left alone. Go out there and solve problems. However it ends up being necessary. Put myself to good use.
I wanna give people shelter when they need it. Support when they don't have it. I wanna be there next to them telling them things will work out and that it'll all be okay eventually, the rainbow will be worth it when the clouds part and you'll be glad you made it this far.
I just want to help in a way that feels like it counts for something. That feels like I'm actually doing something meaningful for the things I want to help and protect.
And yet all I can give is advice and minor supplies through Pelipper Mail.
I feel for you guys. Truly I do.
I just wish I could do more than this sometimes. Or... maybe even all the time.
Just a confession I need off my chest, I guess.

Being that your last name means "knight", what is the story behind it? More specifically, was there a fate you were supposed to meet? Do you have a Kalosian origin?

I have to wonder if you guys are at all familiar with how humans are named, because to be perfectly honest with you, I have no idea what the story is. I have to imagine one of my great ancestors must've been a knight from Kalos, because I was basically born and raised in Unova before I had to move to Johto, and my mom was of Paldean descent (my dad doesn't count since neither of us kept his surname after he left). That being said, mom always attributed her somewhat overprotective nature to this nickname, and unfortunately, I never did much of anything to disprove its relevance for myself...
And yes, I know, very funny...a Samurott named "knight". The irony of this is not lost on me.
