A Day for First’s and Adding a Second
Pairing: Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley x wife fem!reader
Summary: It’s your and Simon’s son’s kindergarten graduation so you have to dress nicely and Simon loves it. Also a little surprise at the end.
Word Count: 1,686
Warnings: slightly NSFW (grinding while fully clothed) so 18+, established relationship, fluff at the end, reader is called love once, Simon being all hot and bothered, Price is your dad 🫣, pregnancy mentioned towards the end, is fem!reader and should be POC friendly! If you notice anything that makes you feel otherwise please let me know! I never want anyone to feel excluded with/in my work ♡
Notes: This is my first Simon fic and I honestly don’t know how to feel about it. Part of me adores it and the other thinks it’s trash, either way I wanted to respond to this request as it’s so sweet and the idea is adorable. I hope I was able to do your request justice my love! Also flashback are in italics.
Tumblr media
You don’t often dress fancy but today your and Simon’s son was going to be graduating kindergarten. He goes to a private school at the moment so there were certain expectations and dress codes that you had to follow whether you wanted to or not.
The kids were all to wear navy blues and the parents were all to wear white or black. Everyone dressing formally.
You were currently getting ready in yours and Simons shared bathroom while Simon was helping your son finish getting ready.
You decided pretty quickly that while you would’ve loved to wear a white dress, being around children for up to three hours did not go well with the color white.
So you went with a black dress that reached right above your knees with loose sleeves that went down your arms to help make sure that you wouldn’t be cold with a neckline that was set right above your chest. The dress wasn’t to form fitting so that you would be able to sit for an hour or two without being uncomfortable or feeling constricted.
You were just finishing up your preferred makeup look when there was a light tap at the bathroom door.
You call out a small come in but start digging through the jewelry box on the counter that Simon had slowly been filling up over the years that you had been together no matter how much you protested against it.
You heard the door click open but didn’t hear Simon come in but you could feel his presence there, you always could.
“Hey Si, which necklace do you think I should wear?” You’re holding a necklace in each hand. The one in your right hand was the first necklace he had ever gotten you for your 6 month anniversary. It had two pear-shaped diamonds at the center surrounded by round-cut diamonds on a sterling silver chain.
The one in your left was a necklace that had been passed down through your family line and not too long ago your dad gifted it to you as a birthday present. It has 20 round shaped diamonds and in the center sits an oval shaped diamond with a white gold setting on a Singapore chain.
You usually didn’t have a hard time choosing a piece of jewelry but today you were slightly conflicted and his silence wasn’t helping.
You finally look up from the jewelry in your hand to look into the mirror and find Simon leaning against the bathroom door frame in an all black suit with gloves to match. He usually wears a black face mask out in public but he doesn’t have it on yet leaving it off until you were all ready to leave.
You feel his gaze slide along your body leaving a hot trail in its wake and you patiently wait until his eyes connect with yours in the mirror. Once they do you can’t help the sharp breath that escapes your mouth from the intense look he is holding in his dark brown hues.
A hum starts in your core when he steps towards you in three large steps and slightly leans his weight into you causing you to lean over the counter slightly.
You squeeze your eyes shut relishing in the heat surrounding you. Your lips part in a silent gasp when he slides his hand down your spine leaving it to settle on your hip and in the same moment runs his mouth along the arch of your neck and up to your ear.
“If we didn’t have somewhere to be I would take my time ravishing you against this sink.” His deep voice wraps around your body making goosebumps trail the lengths of your arms.
The impact of his words on your hazy brain makes you grind back against him, he lets out a small groan and rocks his hips into you while tightening his grip on your hip and pulling you back against him causing the perfect amount of friction.
You’re both lost in the moment trying to keep your moans and his grunts as quiet as possible so that your son didn’t hear.
Your body is getting hotter the longer you both claw at each other. It has been too long since the last time you’ve had the chance to feel each other's skin without being interrupted. You can tell that he’s getting close from the way his breath is puffing at your ear and he’s pulling you into him harder and harder, almost lifting your feet up off the ground.
Your ears are starting to ring from the pleasure and the rope in your stomach that is pulling taut when you hear little feet running across the house combined with giggling when you yank yourself away from Simon and open your eyes for the first time since this whole ordeal started.
You're busy trying to fix your dress and Simon is adjusting the bugle in his slacks when you hear the running stop outside yours and Simon's shared room before picking up again and the giggling sounding farther away.
He’s staring at you again when you look up at him making the fire in your body that was slowly sizzling out to start up again.
“The one your dad gave you.” You look at him confused for a moment and he smirks lightly, “the necklace.”
You look over at the two necklaces that had been carelessly tossed onto the counter during your moment. You pick up the necklace he said and offer it to him while moving your hair out of the way making your neck available for him.
You face the mirror and once he’s behind you you look into his eyes in the mirror, “Speaking of my dad,” you let out a sigh,”he offered to babysit tonight.”
He pauses mid wrapping the chain around your neck, his eyebrows lifting, “Price actually offered to watch him?”
You roll your eyes, “How many years have we been together and how old is our son now? I’m pretty sure my dad being mad at you is gone by now.”
He latches the necklace and slides his hand around you to grip your chin making sure your eyes stay connected in the mirror, “I don’t know,” he moves his mouth right up against your ear making you shiver, “I can still hear how mad he was when he found out his lieutenant was doing more than helping his captain's daughter move into her new flat.”
You sigh, mind flashing back to the day that all the tension between you and Simon finally snapped.
You had found a flat to finally move into and your dad was supposed to help you but something came up at work that was a bit more important so he sent over a man he knew he could rely on. What he didn’t know is that you and Simon had been fighting the urge to give into one another and you two being alone all day? It was bound to happen.
Price had walked in when Simon was helping you put the last of the furniture in which was your couch. You weren’t in a compromising position or anything but your neck was littered with love bites. You had a glow to you that you didn’t have that morning when you saw Price, and you were wearing Simon’s shirt leaving him with just a black wife beater on.
The man flew into a rage slamming his fist into Simon's face and a shocked Soap was left gawking until he kicked into gear yanking his captain up off of his lieutenant which was not an easy feat.
Simon didn’t fight back one bit as he knew that this was the reaction he was going to get. The captain had made one rule with his team, “Don’t touch my fucking daughter.”
It took months for your dad to even be okay with seeing you together at all. He could see how in love with each other you were and so the day Simon asked for his blessing he of course said yes.
You're pulled out of your thoughts from Simon sighing into your neck and gently kissing a sensitive spot. “Was thinking we could maybe make your favorite dinner and watch a movie?”
He nods, stepping away from you, “sounds good to me love.”
You give him a smirk in the mirror, “I also have a surprise for you.”
His eyes glide over you again focusing on how the dress hugs you in all the right places, “oh really? I’m going to hold you to that so no getting all cuddled up in my lap and falling asleep early.”
You know he’s teasing so you snort and roll your eyes before shooing him out of the bathroom trying to keep a knowing smile hidden, “I’m almost ready so why don’t you go get our little energy ball in his car seat.”
He gives you a quick kiss before walking out of the room and you hear him calling for your son. You listen for a moment to make sure he won’t be coming back and once you're sure you pull out a little key to unlock a part of the jewelry box.
You dig your hand into the open drawer and pull out a light blue rectangle box with a pink ribbon tied around it. Inside the box were three positive pregnancy tests. You wanted to be sure and didn’t want to get your hopes up so you wanted to take more than one.
You were so excited to tell him about the pregnancy as a few weeks ago he came to you asking if you would ever want another baby. You were hoping for a little girl this time around, the perfect addition to your family of three. Adding a second bundle of joy to your lives.
You hear Simon calling into the house for you and you yell back that you were coming. You put the little box back into the drawer and grab your purse and leave the room thinking about how your life is so different than what you thought it would be and honestly you couldn’t be happier.
Tumblr media
Hi my lovelies, I hope you liked this little fic! I wasn’t sure how to go about the ending so personally don’t know how to feel about it and would love some feed back. Anyways I hope you all have amazing days <3
Requests are open! I can not promise when or if I will write them but I do prefer requests that are slightly more specific as I find them a little bit easier to write but it’s not required. Thanks for reading my darlings ♡

Tumblr media
This platform offers subject-matter experts' training, as suggested by its name, Masterclass Space. An online school called Masterclass Space helps kids become ready for college applications. It is committed to providing students with a relaxing environment for studying. It uses cutting-edge technology to offer SAT Classes Online in Singapore while considering all instructional requirements.
The SAT is a standardized test that evaluates students' aptitude for Math, English reading and writing, and writing in general. The test is made to help institutions assess the academic potential of applicants from various educational systems around the world on a single, standardized platform. The test is entirely paper-based, and its 1600 points are distributed equally between English reading and writing (800) and mathematics (800).
Math, reading, and writing/language assessments are all included in the SAT. The exam is scored between 400 and 1600. Students who want to do well on the SAT should select the best SAT preparation software. To enter one of Singapore's top universities, you must sign up for the top SAT preparation classes. The English portion of the Standardized Test is worth 800 points, and the mathematics portion is worth 800 points (SAT). Together, these two significant factors add up to 1600, the final score.
All the SAT Math articles and guides we've created will be listed in our Online SAT Prep in Singapore. We'll start by going over the high-level SAT Math questions and providing you with free practice exams and problems. After that, we'll delve into some general SAT test-taking strategies before moving on to specific arithmetic concepts you should be familiar with.
Having said that, it's a wise idea to read through each of the guides we've linked, at least once. After that, you can refer back to any of the guides you need for a refresh.
SAT Logical Reasoning Section
When planning or resolving an issue, reasoning is the capacity to evaluate situations logically by using logic based on fresh or current information. Before selecting the course of action that will best serve your requirements or have the greatest overall benefit, you can use reasoning to compare the pros and disadvantages of two or more options. It also enables you to handle uncertainty, verify claims, and thoroughly analyze events in order to make decisions that are in your best interests.
There are 7 Types of Reasoning:
1.       Logical Reasoning
As the name implies, these inquiries examine your capacity for logic. They ask you to find solutions to issues that appear to be complex.
2. Verbal Reasoning
These inquiries typically cause concern for persons who are most self-conscious about their linguistic and vocabulary skills. The information that is given in the form of a chart, text, table, or code is included in the verbal reasoning questions.
3. Non-Verbal Reasoning
Logical facts, numbers, and alphabets are all part of non-verbal thinking tests. Typically, a set of figures will be presented here in a specific order, and you will then need to locate the missing figures. As a result, some students find non-verbal questions to take more time than other topics.
To elaborate, non-verbal thinking tests may ask about mirror and water pictures, as well as categories like finding the missing figure among a group of figures, etc. You must examine the series' logic in order to determine the solution.
4. Analytical Reasoning Questions
These inquiries test you’re reasoning and analytical skills. They accomplish this by giving components and circumstances, the relationships between which must be examined.
This force you to use reasoning, watch out for presumptions, and consider the evidence before you decide on the solution.
5. Data Interpretation
In competitive exams, data interpretation typically accounts for most of the scores.  A lot of data is often presented in the form of bar graphs, pie charts, line graphs, or other tabulations, and questions are then posed in light of the facts.
Your computations must be precise and correct in order to respond to these questions. Therefore, you can do well on these questions of reasoning abilities by practicing, becoming adept with numbers, and attempting to arrive at the proper answers.
6. Data Sufficiency
Questions about data sufficiency include text in addition to the data. They expect you to study the paragraph and then respond to the question, which necessitates some mathematical understanding.
Sometimes, though, the information needed to answer the question is not included in the question itself.
7. Puzzles
Continuous diagrams or symbols are used in these kinds of problems, and you are supposed to pick out the unusual ones. With the proper application of concepts, tactics, and techniques, answering reasoning puzzle questions can be completed quickly. As a result, working with puzzles can help you get better grades.
You can improve your ability to solve problems by selecting various online options. These puzzles could be based on numbers, playing cards, the month and date, boxes, floors, or queries relating to clocks.
Why Take This Course?
You'll become familiar with the new SAT Math questions. Most importantly, by watching how to approach the problem step by step, you'll begin thinking in a more organized manner.
Whether you wish to pass the new SAT or even achieve a high score on the new SAT, this course is your first step into the new SAT. When you have mastered the skills covered in this course, you will be ready for the exam.

Representing China’s diversity
@hewwo-god-its-me asked:
Hi! I’m Chinese-Canadian, creating a secondary fantasy world completely based off of China and coded as such. (Don’t worry, I know China is a huge country with a vast amount of regional and temporal variation throughout dynasties; I have been doing/will be doing more research so as not to conflate these.) I’m not sure my question has an easy answer, but I think my question sort of extends into the creation of any secondary fantasy world heavily based off of real-world countries (hopefully!). Though media has popularized a particular “type” of Chinese person, in reality, China is a lot more diverse than “pale-skinned, black-haired”, and DOES have migrants from other parts of the world, including other people of color who aren’t Chinese. I want to reflect this diversity, since it seems disingenuous, inaccurate, and downright offensive to say that “X people do not exist at all”, especially since my story will take place in a time period analogous to our “modern” today. However, since my world is coded as Chinese, with the various cultures that exist taking inspiration from (and sometimes, almost wholesale being aspects of) real-life Chinese culture, I’m worried that, in this case, in trying to reflect this diversity, it will come across as assimilation/erasing their own cultural identities. Sorry!! I might just be totally overthinking this, but I’ve been thinking myself in circles about this for a long time now, and being Chinese myself, I thought it would be important to ask how other people of color would feel about this, and am totally open to discussion on the topic!
Han Chinese are the majority group in China forming approximately 90% of the population. They are the majority all over China and originate from northern China.
I recently found out I was Hmong, so I will talk somewhat about minorities in China. There are 55 recognized minority groups in China, and Hmong is one of them. The Hmong have generally darker skin than the Han Chinese majority and mainly reside in southern China. They are also present more so in southeast Asia, but even there, they are still a minority and heavily persecuted because of American interference and the use of them as spies against communism during the Vietnam War in Laos. Many Hmong immigrated to the United States as a result. Because of Chinese imperialism, a lot of minority groups are suppressed. There’s also the Manchu, who founded the Qing Dynasty.
Perhaps you should focus on a couple of cultural groups in China but have it mentioned several times that there are even more groups different than the ones focused on.
–Mod Sci
So I would also like to note that even within Han people, there can be a range of skin tones. I’m Han myself and while I’m currently pale, I’ve been quite tan before when I was out and about in the sun as a kid, and my brother is also much darker than the rest of our immediate family. When my mom was telling me about growing up in Taiwan, I got the impression that tan skin was the default, as one of her friends stood out for being pale among everyone else. From what I remember, pale among Han Chinese is not necessarily the default; there were definitely darker-skinned kids in my Chinese school, and having pale skin was probably more the exception than the norm.

I think it’d be incredibly difficult to cover every single cultural group of China but at the same time, obviously a singular pan-Chinese identity doesn’t exist as you’ve mentioned. During worldbuilding (while it is important to clearly code your groups), make it clear that these aren’t indicative of every group that exists in real life; The representation that you cover within the span of your story isn’t exhaustive and cultures exist outside of the main cast.
I think the biggest thing you should remember when doing this is that the media in the West usually doesn’t try to go beyond a single, homogenized Chinese identity. Even within Chinese diasporic circles, I haven’t seen too many attempts to go beyond just “Chinese”, which isn’t horrible because our cultures are super mixed! However, like I said, there’s a lack of exploration of China’s diversity.
Speaking from a Chinese-Singaporean/Taiwanese/Vietnamese/Indonesian standpoint, representation of Chinese diaspora from other East Asian and Southeast Asian nations isn’t something I see a lot of, either! Ethnic Chinese people live in Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines… and although I don’t like taking space from those who are marginalized by us in these places, we do exist outside of China and our cultures are influenced by other Asians as well.
Sci gave a great list of identities above that I haven’t seen much representation of above. I think that if you’re even taking a small step like this towards showing the diversity of China, you’re doing a lot already!

Firstly, I recommend reading about the mummies of Urumqi in Xinjiang, and their importance to Uyghur identity.
Secondly, I recommend that you study Chinese history in depth, particularly:
The Silk Road
The Yuan dynasty (i.e. Mongols)
The treasure ship diplomatic trade missions of the Ming dynasty.
The Silk Road on its own resulted in regular interactions between many ethnic groups bound by trade, including many Central Asian Turkic nomadic and landed populations (of which the Uyghurs are a part).
The Han are the majority ethnic group now and have arguably always been the supermajority (Depending on who you talk to), but to what degree this has been the case will vary from dynasty to dynasty up until the end of the Qing dynasty with the Manchus in the 20th century. Pay particular attention to when dynasties emerge and fall and which ethnic groups are mentioned when this happens. I think you will be surprised by what you find. Thoroughly studying a country’s history is generally the best way to fully appreciate its diversity.

Classic Rivals May Short Out Static | COMIC BOOK REVIEW
Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for my penultimate review for Milestone Returns. That's right folks, there's only one more issue of Static to review after this one. I've loved reading and reviewing these series. I'm hoping that Static and the others will continue in one form or another. Before I get too sappy, let's talk about the latest installments.
Static: Season One #5 is written by Vita Ayala with art by Nikolas Draper-Ivey. Icon and Rocket: Season One #5 is written by Reginald Hudlin and Leon Chills with art by Doug Braithwaite, Andrew Currie, and Brad Anderson. Hardware: Season One #3 is written by Brandon Thomas with art by Denys Cowan, Bill Sienkiewicz, and Chris Sotomayor. Hardware was released on November 23rd, 2021. Static and Icon and Rocket were released on January 25th, 2022.
The following section contains spoilers for Static, Icon and Rocket, and Hardware
Tumblr media
Hardware #3 is titled "Silent Partners." The issue begins with Curtis recalling his younger days working with Edwin Alva. Curtis remembers an argument between Alva and Asher, Alva's business partner. After the argument, Alva had Asher removed from the company. Looking back on these events, Curtis recognizes there were signs that Alva could not be trusted.
It has been over a week since Curtis escaped Dakota. Alva has not been able to locate him. At first, Alva’s people believed he was still in the city, but they only found a Bang baby with electric powers (Static). Using satellite tracking, they've noticed Curtis has been traveling to countries where he can blend in better and avoid detection.
Curtis is currently in Singapore. He has managed to repair his suit for the most part, so that's not the reason he's stopped here. Curtis is here to meet an ally, Asher. When he arrives, Hardware is given a less than friendly welcome. Asher’s robot guards attack Hardware, but he makes quick work of them.
After destroying several robots, Asher calls off the attack. He was curious about how well his “artificials” would fare against Hardware’s suit. Asher gives Hardware a tour of his facility, which is partially underwater. Hardware tells Asher why he's here and asks for his guidance. Given Asher's feelings toward Alva, he's more than happy to help.
While Curtis uses the lab to repair the damage to the suit, Asher receives a call from Alva. Alva has a deal for Asher: turn Curtis over to him, and Asher can have the source code back. Asher has 48 hours to decide.
Hardware #3 is a setup issue. It creates a type of MacGuffin in the source code, but we have no idea what it is or what it does. A good character moment is when Curtis flies to Asher's lab. He has a "Get Hype" playlist he listens to; he also had his suit take pictures of the sights of Singapore.
As I’ve said before, the art style is not my favorite, but it conveys the themes very well. I rate this issue: 6.5/10.
Tumblr media
Icon and Rocket #5 is titled "Love in the Afternoon." Raquel and her mother are staying with Augustus until their apartment is repaired. Raquel is returning to school since she's been absent for a while. Raquel would rather be out righting wrongs, but Augustus is firm on his decision. On her way out, she talks to Augustus. Augustus explains who Benedict is and who he’s killed.
At school, Raquel is annoyed by her teacher’s comments on the recent collapse of the drug trade. Raquel knows there’s still work to be done on a societal level. According to her teacher, the world seems to be better. After class, Virgil offers Raquel some encouragement from a fellow hero, but Raquel is not feeling it. The annoyances continue when Raquel's ex-boyfriend, Ant, tries to win her back. Before things can get worse, a new kid asks Raquel if she can give him a tour. This is a ploy to get Raquel away from both Virgil and Ant.
Meanwhile, Augustus has his meeting (date) with Xiomara. Xiomara explains that she works for “the Love Corps," an organization of women out to make the world better with their brand of "love." Xiomara is also interested in inviting Raquel to join her. Their conversation is interrupted by an attack on Dakota Bridge. Icon and Xiomara battle the four assassins on the bridge and handle them easily. Too easily. Meaning one thing: it’s a trap. A large explosion detonates, engulfing the bridge in flames.
Raquel is at a local burger joint chilling with the new kid, Bryce. After talking for a bit, Bryce invites Raquel out to his family's lake house. Hesitating briefly, Raquel decides to hop in his car and go to the lake house. It's not like he could actually hurt her, right? Well, once again, we learn that this is a trap. It turns out that Bryce is the shapeshifting bounty hunter, Benedict.
Icon and Rocket #5 is a suspenseful penultimate issue. I wonder how the final issue will resolve the plot. It was a treat to see Virgil. It makes the Dakotaverse feel more connected. I liked how the classroom scene was written. It demonstrates the complexity of a serious issue with no correct answer, explaining the pros and cons of getting rid of all the drugs.
Almost every panel is illustrated with golden hour lighting: the warm, soft lighting with balanced shadow work. The action is short but easy to follow. The title "Love in the Afternoon" could be referring to a Jerry Garcia Band song. I rate this issue: 7.5/10.
Tumblr media
Static: Season One #5 is titled "Prison Break." Static is laid out on the ground. The lower half of his face burnt from Hotstreak’s attack. Static thinks this is it. He's going to lie there and die. But he remembers if he dies, his friends are next. He can't die. He reaches into his pocket and eats one of the glucose tablets that Sharon gave him. The tablet gives him a rush of energy. The burns begin to heal. Static stands, reenergized, ready to finish Hotstreak.
Static and Hotstreak exchange blows again. Hotstreak is fighting to end Static permanently, while Static is just trying to stay alive and restrain Hotstreak. Following the flow of electricity, Static leads Hotstreak to a room filled with monitors. Reaching out with all his power, Static uses the wires to capture Hotstreak. Then, he shocks him until he passes out. Hotstreak has finally been defeated.
After separating from Ritchie and Frieda, Darius locates the prisoners. Daisy is among them. She's ok, except there's a device in her neck that suppresses her powers and shocks her if she tries to use them. Ritchie and Frieda come across a room that has been utterly destroyed. We hear from one of the agents that all the labs have been gutted, but it was not Static.
Static meets up with Darius and frees all the prisoners. He is even able to remove the devices from their necks. Static and Darius get in contact with Ritchie and Frieda. They realize it isn’t enough to just free the prisoners. They need to destroy the servers, too.
However, some of the other prisoners had other plans. Some of them were promised a lot of money, so they were there by choice. Static now has to face dozens of Bang Babies. Leading the crowd are some familiar faces from the 2000's animated series: Shiv, D-struct, Onyx, Talon, and Puff.
Static #5, like every issue before it, is electrifying. Both the writing and art synergize so well. While the fight with Hotstreak was less detailed than the previous issue, the creative way Static incapacitates Hotstreak is true to the character. Nikolas added digital static to the background when Static used his powers on the monitors. Every full-page drawing is an action pose that makes me feel like I'm reading manga.
Vita's writing holds your attention. There was a serious conversation between Darius and Virgil. One is letting his emotions drive his actions; the other is keeping a level-head. They are both right and wrong in their approach. Overall, I'm both excited and disappointed that this run is coming to an end. I rate this issue: 10/10.
Hardware #4 is due to be released on February 15th. Hardware #5 is set to release on April 5th. Static #6 may be released on February 22nd (not confirmed). No official date for Icon and Rocket #6.

TL/DR: Hardware is in Singapore looking for help. 6.5/10
Rocket and Icon both went on dates that didn’t end well. 7.5/10
Static has defeated Hotstreak, but new enemies arise. 10/10

Where are you from?: Miche Zacharias
{College au}
Warnings: none except this is my first time writing digitally. Normally I'd write my fics on paper first just for the feel of it. But I'm using tumblr to practice. Also written at 4am.
Tumblr media
-begin-
"Can we share a seat with you?" Asked Miche with Erwin on the other side of the round table.
She looked up from the article on her ipad, her fork midway. Eyes lit up at the familiarity of their faces. They shared a general class together. "Please do," as resorctful as she was, she turned her ipad off. Tucking it on her bag placed so casually on the floor.
The other girls would be so careful of using such a designer bag.
Another thing Erwin supposedly picked up from observing her.
She relaxed in her seat, gesturing an open hand to her tray, "Would you like some?'
"Would you like some?" Miche emphasised, proudly showing off his home cooked meal. Sectioned off in his expensive tupperware. Handing an extra to Erwin.
"My name's (Y/n) by the way," now he noticed it. That sophistication Erwin spoke off. "You're Smith and Zachary?"
"Zacharias, Miche Zacharias."
"And I'm Erwin Smith," she only spared a nod at him. More interested in the talker man haubched over his meal. "(Y/n), can we ask where you're from?"
The relaxed aura faltered to a look of confusion. Her mouth forming an 'oh'.
"You're not from here are you? You just blend in well?" Persuaded Erwin with an eyebrow raised.
"How'd you know?" His answer was to look toward his best friend.
"We've been friends since the 7th grade, he only knew that I was half. Claims that we give a certain energy."
She was confident. But still guessed. "Half greek? Or it's just your last name?"
And so their little group of third culture kids was formed.
"Wait," Erwin cleared his throat. "Ethnicity wise you're from here," she nodded, pushing him to to go on. "But you grew up in Singapore."
"Right you are,"
"But you also don't know how many languages you speak because . . ."
"I understand more than what I can actually say. So I'm bilingual but also not bilingual."
Miche's brows furrowed more under his bangs. " And you graduated from an Indian school?"
"Yea,"
"But why do you have a British twang? And American, too"
"Cause," she shrugged. "Code switching."
Being multicultural was fun to someone who never experienced it.
To someone who did, it was a lifelong contract of confusion.
---
A/n: Just me reminiscing what physical classes were like 😭
I didn't grow up in Singapore, but I did attend an Indian school.

Sometimes i wish Noelle didn't when so hard on the gay and did more queer coding instead, i really really love all the representations and it heal my little gay heart. But here in Singapore She-ra is slapped with a M18 rating from the onset. IT A KIDS SHOW. We really really need this show to be available for kids to watch without supervision. i type as i listen to my cousin plan a sunday school lesson on God's plan and being molded. Religious trauma is not fun to deal with
you have my whole heart anon ❤️
even here in the U.S. the lgbt rights movement didn’t gain much traction until recently. its crazy to think that up until last week i could’ve been legally fired for being gay, in the “land of the free” lmaoo. we still face legal and cultural discrimination like noelle said she was afraid the kiss wouldn’t get approved. it breaks my heart that she-ra isnt fully available in some places... the world is only in the beginning stages of this battle and progress is slow but please keep fighting love you are a light in your community 💖👊🌈
if my followers feel moved to donate here are links to a couple lgbt organizations in singapore
